Cinco de Mayo Tue #183 Hasta el Fin del Mundo – Hold on to your Margaritas, it’s going to be a bumpy night!

Paolo says good bye to Alexa from afar as Armando and Alexa rekindle their love.  Armando loves her, she loves him and Armie promises never to be jealous again.

New and Improved Casa de Chava
Joe College is studying.  Finals are coming up so he wants to hit the books but Sofia has other plans.  Smoochies.

Depa de Armando – She’s baaaaaack!
Armando arrives home and we meet his new nanny, Dona Herminia, so we’ll know he wasn’t home alone or off to the carnival with various Ripoll employees.  Armando surprises Nandito with Alexa, who’s been waiting outside.  Nandito is super happy to see they’re back together again.  The following morning, Alexa and Armando drop him off at school.  (I’m confused, cuz she’s wearing the same dress from the night before. QTH?)  Anyway, there’s trouble in paradise cause Loca Irma is watching from across the street!  EEK!

Casa Ripoll
¡Ostras! Las Hermanas Ripoll are busy signing letters of recommendation for the Ripoll employees and have been at it for some time because Alexa and Dani both complain.  Alexa’s feeling guilty for not having been there to support her sisters throughout all the upheaval at the company, even though she was out on location.  She knows if Octavio had lived to see the day his factory was in ruins, this would have killed him. Well, Sofia’s just happy no employees were injured and they should be grateful they still have their health and energy.  Dani teases that one of her sisters didn’t sleep in her bed last night.   Alexa tells them about her reunion with Armando.  She explains she was really nervous about seeing Nandito.  But when Armando told him she was back, Nandito was so happy that she’s sure they will form a happy family of three!  “¡Que se los digo yo!”  The sisters are all happy and Dani just hopes Irma doesn’t come up with one of her tricks again.  Sofia doesn’t think so now that Armando has full custody.  Well……..

Escuela Primaria – FOLLOW THAT CAB!
We all knew this was coming.  Irma shows up to pick up Nandito and tells him Armando gave his permission to take Nandito to visit her cousin Aracely in Monterrey.  He’s happy about the trip but doesn’t want to miss school.  He keeps asking questions and Irma’s in a hurry to get going.  She tells him she spoke with his teacher and that she has a suitcase all packed for him in the cab that’s waiting for them.  Armando’s at work so they’ll have to call him later to say goodbye.  She rushes him into the cab.  Armando arrives just in time to see the cab drive off.  He grabs a cab, “Follow that cab!”  The chase is on.

Delegación – What would the cops do without Chava?
Chava talks with Tavarez regarding his mother’s murder.  The assassins left without taking anything, so Chava knows it wasn’t a robbery.  Tavarez wants to hear Chava’s theory.  Chava knows full well that there’s someone out there who has wanted to harm him over and over again.  Even though Renzi is probably out of the country (he doesn’t know yet that he now sleeps with the fishes) he had to have accomplices or someone who gave him orders.  No way could Chava have had so much bad luck.  Tavares can only tell him that an eye witness saw Lupe talking to two trannys the day she was murdered.  He’s asked for the videotape of the security cameras installed throughout the neighborhood and hopes it will help identify the perps.  He may have information tomorrow.  Chava gets a call from Armando telling him he’s in pursuit of Loca Irma, who’s kidnapped Nandito!

Patricio’s Depa in the Sky – It’s Showtime!
Marisol is still in bed as Pato is dressing, presumably after a romp in the sheets.  She’s yakking and he looks bored.  She needs a job and asks for his help since he knows so many people.  Patricio gets back on the bed and tells her she doesn’t need to work.  He’s going to take care of her.  She thanks him but she  doesn’t want him to support her.  She wants him, not his money.  Besides, she’s not so worried about herself…..it’s about something else.  Something she wasn’t expecting that is likely to change everything.  That’s why it was so urgent for her to speak with him.  He stops smiling, “What are you talking about, Chiquita?”  “I’m pregnant!” she announces.  Tan-tan-TAN  ok, I know we were all expecting her to be expecting, but still, tan-tan-TAN!  Patricio freezes, only momentarily I’m sure.

We next see Patricio back out of bed as Marisol cries,  “I can’t imagine what my mother would have said.     I’ve failed her, I’ve failed my brother, I’ve failed everyone!  And you!  You don’t even say anything!”  She actually raises her voice.  “You don’t care?  You’re not happy we’re having a baby?”  He turns back to her, “On the contrary, I’m happy.  Having a baby with you fills me with hope!”  Marisol is relieved.  She’d thought he wasn’t going to want it.  She’s really happy because she does want to have it, and even wants to name it after him, Patricio.  ugh, she’s so naïve, I feel for her.  So he continues to feed her naiveté, “Well, we have to start making wedding plans.”  Marisol readily agrees, “We need to act fast, before I start to show. But first, you need to speak to my brother today to ask for my hand (in marriage).” suuuure, he says, “Don’t worry.  Tonight I’ll be doing things as they should be done.” Watch out Chava.

Marisol buys into his bs, “I’m going to be the best wife.  We’re going to have a baby and oh, I love you so much Patricio!”  Doorbell rings.  Must be housekeeping, he says.  She lies back, content, as he leaves to answer the door.  He gets to the door and, surprise!  It’s Silvana!  Patrcio has that deer-in-headlight look so we can assume her arrival wasn’t part of his plan.  She’s just come back from visiting Cristian and it always upsets her to see him like this, in his own little world.  Patricio nervously tells her he was just about to jump in the shower and get ready for work.  “No prob,” she says. “We can jump in together.”  He pushes her away and she immediately knows something’s up.  “What’s wrong,” she asks. “Nada,” he responds, a little too quickly and then tells her not to be so paranoid.  She sees the glass of juice on the table, “Oh, I’m paranoid?”  She runs to his bedroom and he chases her but is unable to stop her.  She rushes in just as Marisol has put on her underwear.  Silvana stares at Marisol as she clutches the sheet to her chest.  Patricio. Silvana. Marisol. Oh my.

“Let me explain,” Pato says. “There’s no need to explain!” Silvana screams. “It’s very clear you’ve been sleeping with this ‘naca’!”  She picks up several pieces of bric-a-brac and hurls them at Marisol, who is still cowering on the bed.  Silvana next hurls herself at Marisol, calling her an ofrecida, an arrastrada (basically a ho)!”  She proceeds to give poor Marisol a beat down.  She slaps Marisol who screams for Patricio to help her.  He naturally leans back and smirks.  What else could we expect of him.  Silvana grabs Marisol by the leg, pulls her and slaps her again.  “Maldita Zorra!” She then drags Marisol by the hair as Patricio laughs.

Silvana drags a screaming Marisol out of the bedroom.  Marisol continues to scream for Patricio to help her but he just stands by the stairs, laughing.  Silvana starts to choke her and Marisol breaks free, but not for long.  Silvana slaps her, “Just to be very clear, Patricio is my husband.  My husband!  Largate!  Get out of here and never come back or the whole world will no you are a golfa (ho)!”  She shoves Marisol into the hallway.  Marisol, clad only in her underwear hugs the wall and cries.  Talk about your walk of shame!  A business man leaves the apartment next door just to add to her humiliation.  He doesn’t offer his assistance and just walks by.  Just another day at the highrise, I guess.  Silvana opens the door only to throw the clothes at her and then again to throw her purse at her.  How humiliating.

Later, Patricio chuckles as he pours himself a drink.  Silvana doesn’t find this so funny and he tells her not to get so excited. “The only thing that naquita means to me is revenge of Chava.  Do you really think I could be interested in her?”  Silvana angrily pushes him away as he continues to explain, “She put herself before me on a silver platter.  She was a virgin.  Can you imagine that idiot Chava when he finds out what the favor I did for his immaculate sister?”  Silvana’s anger is not lessened, “I know you’re frustrated and hurt because Sofia preferred Chava.  But I don’t care about your stupid revenge!  The only thing that matters to me is that you are my husband and I will not forgive you!”  She attacks him, arms flailing, but he manages to hold her still and tries to calm her down,  “You and I forgive each for everything because you cannot live without me.”  He starts slobbering on her and she continues to fight him off but he wins.  As their theme song begins to play, he tells her, “You’re the only woman I desire; the only woman who excites me.  That naca nauseates me!  I find her repugnant.”  She continues to fight him but he continues to kiss her.  He asks her what she wants and she tells him she wants him to make her his, now.  And so their sick love continues.

The Chase continues….
Armando continues chasing Irma but his cab gets stuck at a traffic light!  Armando urges the driver to go ahead, his son is in that cab!  Driver runs the light.

Eventually, Irma’s cab arrives at the bus station.  She rushes Nandito and he wonders why she’s in such a hurry.  Armando’s right behind her.  He’s on the phone with Chava, telling him where they are.  Inside the terminal, Irma continues to rush, pulling Nandito along and walking as fast as her sprayed-on jeans will allow her.  Armando’s running along in the crowd, looking for her.  She gives Nandito money for water so he won’t hear her when she’s buying the tickets.  She gets tickets to the first bus out of there, headed for Arandas,  Jalisco – not Monterrey.

Chavo has arrived to the rescue.  He runs to the ticket counter, asking if the young lady has seen a woman with dark wavy hair accompanied by a boy in a school uniform.  She tells him the woman bought a ticket to Jalisco which is boarding at Gate 3.  Chava calls Armando to tell him to rush to Gate 3.  He then calls someone (Tavarez?) to tell them he’s found her.

Armando gets to the gate, calling out Nandito’s name.  He finally sees him by the bus.  He and Irma get into a tug of war with the child.  She continues to try and get Nandito on the bus but Armando prevails and pulls him to his side.  He asks her WTH is she doing?  She tells him to go off with Alexa and she’ll leave with Nandito.  He reminds her she can’t do this.  She doesn’t care.  She’s going to take him because he is her son.  “I gave him birth.  I have more right to him than you do!  He’s my blood.”

She grabs Nandito by the arm to drag him onto the bus but he refuses. She screams again that this is her son.  Armando holds on to Nandito tells Irma to calm down.  Chava arrives with Tavares and tells her to stop.  It’s over.  Tavares informs her that what she’s done is a crime and could end up in jail.  Nandito grabs on to his dad and cries.  Tavares tells her she’s on her way to la delegación, she’s under arrest.  Irma finally gets scared as the officers try to put the handcuffs on her.  She pleads not to be taken to jail.  Wow, really?  She pleads with Armando to do something so they won’t take her.  She next turns to Chava who apologizes but says he can’t do anything.  She pleads with Armando again as the police drag her away.  Nandito finally runs to his mother, screaming for them not to take her away.  She pleads with Tavarez and says she’ll never do it again.  She doesn’t want to go to jail.  Ay, ay, ay.  Armando pulls Tavarez aside and asks if they can just pretend this all didn’t happen.  He’s sure Irma has learned her lesson.  The hard way, but she’s learned.  He’s sure she’s repentant and asks him in the name of his son.  Nandito would be hurt if he sees his mother dragged off to the hoosegow.  Besides, he doesn’t plan on pressing charges.  His son has already been through so much.  Nandito tearfully tells Chava his mother only wanted to visit Aracely.  Chava tells him that wasn’t quite what Irma had in mind.  Irma tells him to shut up and he tells her he knows that wasn’t the plan.  Nandito asks for the truth. She admits she lied to him again and says she’s sorry. Nandito is angry but Chava tells him to let it go cuz he’s sure she’s learned her lesson.  Chava is sure Nandito will want to continue to see both his mother and his father as much as possible.  Irma snarls at Armando, “So what is it?  Don’t send me to jail!”  Tavares informs her they’re going to let her go, this time.  They take off the handcuffs as the bus driver calls, “All aboard!”  Irma tells him to wait cuz she’s going on that bus.  She tells Nandito she’s relay sick and has been sick for some time.  It’s best for her to leave now.  She’ll be gone for a while but she’s happy he’ll be with his father.  She’s sorry for everything she’s done and begs for his forgiveness.  Nandito forgives her, of course, because he loves her so very much.

A choir of angels sings in the background as Irma promises she’ll always think of him and will stay in touch by phone, ok?  Vale, says Nandito.  She moves on and thanks Armando for helping her stay out of jail.  Not only that, but also for putting up with her for so long after all the terrible things she did to him.  She promises again to never again be a problem so that he can be happy.  She hands him the key to “his” house.  She won’t be staying there anymore and besides, Nandito would be better off there.  Armando hopes she can also find happiness and not to worry because he will take good care of their son!  Irma turns to Chava and asks him to keep loving her son and watching out for him.  She knows she couldn’t have found a better godfather.  Chava tells her to take care.  Irma and Nandito have one last sob filled hug.  Irma finally climbs onto that bus and everyone cries. Another one bites the dust.

Peralta’s Office
Regina asks what’s to be done with the Ripoll documents on accounting, personnel records, etc.  Geronimo thinks those documents are as useless as that company and orders her to put them in the dead file archives.  As Regina is reviewing the documents, she thinks back to her convo with Armando when he told her he’s living happily with his son.

Casa Ripoll
Paco can’t believe Greta’s moving out of this house after so many years.  Greta cries, “The fire at the factory was horrendous, Paco, especially for Sofia who invested so many years of work.  But that misfortune has also taught me a lesson that has forever changed my way of thinking.  I’ve been such a tryant all these years.  It’s true.  I stayed away from the company because Chocolate Ripoll was in a very populated neighborhood.  Despite my negative attitude, Lupe tried to get to know me.  The people of the neighborhood have shown me they have the grand noblesse and values that I don’t have.”  Paco disagrees with her, “Of course you do.  Your biggest mistake was in not seeing those values in others.”  “Exactly.” she continues. “I’ve lost so much because of my arrogant and stubborn attitude.  But no more!  I want to be that girl who saw life differently, with no prejudices and who didn’t judge others.  I want to be someone else, Paco.”  She cries, Paco cries, even Fausto, who is never far away, cries.

Patricio’s Highrise Hellhole
Silvana warns him again, he’d better not ever bring another woman into their bed.  He repeats it was just revenge.  He never felt anything for Marisol.  Silvana says it’s over and this business of having separate apartments is over as well!  As of today, they’ll cohabitate.  He tries to protest, reminding her of their agreement but she tells him she doesn’t care about that agreement. “You are mine alone and no one else’s.  From now on I will not be separated from you.”  smoochies

Outside, in front of the building…..
Marisol weeps as she comes to grips with Patricio being married to Silvana. “That’s why he didn’t even try to defend me!  waaaaaaaah  He didn’t care that she beat on me! He didn’t care that I’m going to have his child.  *sob*  He deceived me! He never loved me!”  waaaaaaaaaah

Depa de Armando
Nandito and Armando both tell Alexa how Irma saw the light and will never, ever, ever bother them again.  She’s gone off to Jalisco.  No mention of how she’s gonna live with no job, spousal support, etc. but who cares.  Everyone’s happy and Alexa has cooked them a wonderful meal.  They smell something burning and everyone runs to the kitchen.  Fun times

New and Improved Casa de chava
Chava tells Sofia about Reborn Irma.  She’s noticed a change in Grrrrreta as well.   Now that the factory’s burned to ashes, she’s more human.  Chava says trying times bring out the best in people.  They’re going to move on from this, with God’s help and Lupe’s help.  smoochies.  Well, we knew that wouldn’t last.  Here comes trouble.  Marisol comes in crying.  Chava and Sofia both wonder what’s wrong and Marisol ends up in crumpled in Sofia’s arms, sobbing.  Chava asks if she’s been assaulted.  What’s wrong?  Marisol blurts out, “I’m preggers!” waaaaaaaah

Patricio’s High Rise Apartment
Silvana tells Patricio he’d better consider hiring some body guards cuz  when Marisol blabs to Chava, he will not be very forgiving.  Patricio: “If that idiot already knew what I’ve done to his sister, he’d surely put on his big man from el barrio act and be over trying to clear the honor of his family.” Silvana:  “It’s possible Marisol is so ashamed she hasn’t said a word.  Tonta.  I almost feel sorry for her.”  Pato is so glib that he thinks aloud that Marisol can’t hide her pregnancy forever.  WHAAAAAAT?!  Patricio repeats that he’s left Marisol with a little souvenir.

Back at Chava’s, Sofia is trying to understand what Marisol just blurted out.
Marisol can only cry that she’s dying of shame and repeats she’s preggers.  waaaaaah!  Marisol goes off to her room.  Chava wants to get to the bottom of this but Sofia tells him to stay put.  Chava can’t believe this.  Marisol’s just a child.  No puede ser!  Sofia calms him down and says if Marisol said it, it must be true.  Chava doesn’t understand.  She’s not dating anyone.  He wonders if possibly Lucas…..Sofia quickly says she doesn’t believe anything happened between them.  Chava assumes whoever did it, abused her.  Sofia tells him to calm down.  It may not be as bad as he’s imagining.  He needs to let Marisol explain.  That’s exactly what Chava wants, an explanation from Marisol.  Sofia warns him to calm down before he talks to her.  If he doesn’t, it will only make it worse and Marisol may not talk at all.

Aw.  Marisol continues to cry in her room over the realization that Patricio deceived her.  She still has the teddy bears he gave her.  She throws them across the room, “It was all fake.  You never loved me.  You deceived me!  And I gave you my life, my heart.  I hate you  Patricio.  ¡Te odio!”  She throws herself on her bed and has a good cry.  waaaaaaaah

Armando and his new family
The three of them are at a taquería and Armando talks about cleaning out their house.  Nandito is happy to hear they’re moving back to his house.  Before they do, Armando wants to give Alexa a chance to redecorate.  Oh no!  Hell, he’ll even sell it if she prefers.   Alexa is happy wherever Armando and Nandito are because she now has a family to take care of, “The man I love and the little angel I fell in love with the moment we met!”  family smoochies

New and Improved Casa de Chava
Night falls and Marisol is still weeping in her room.  Chava asks if they can talk and she agrees.  They remember how Lupe always had the right words for tough times.  “Especially  for such a delicate subject,” says Chava, “I know you could talk with her woman to woman or mother to daughter.”  Marisol cries, wondering why their mother had to leave them.  Chava agrees and says he has the same thought every day and feels as though he’s lost a chunk of his soul.  “I promised I’d take care of you but now look at what I’ve got to tell her.  It’s just that I can’t believe you could be pregnant.  You’re a good girl, you don’t like to be wild, and you don’t even have a boyfriend!  Or do you?  Did you and Lucas…?  Then who abused you Marisol?”  Marisol swears no one did, “I got into this by myself.  Please forgive me.  I’ve failed you and my mother.  I was so stupid.  I believed in a man who only used me as a diversion.  I thought his love was sincere, that everything he told me was from the heart.  But that desgraciado deceived me, he used me.”  Chava, no longer able to maintain his cool, demands to know who it is, because he’s going to have to stand up for her, “You’re not alone.  I swear I will bring him over here to beg on his knees for your forgiveness.”  Marisol refuses to name him, “I never want to see that tipo, ever.  He no longer exists for me.”  Marisol sobs as Chava hugs her.

Casa Ripoll
Lucas and Dan are snogging on the couch when Grrrreta walks in on them.  She understands their need to be alone but this is not the time for company.  Lucas apologizes and says he was just leaving.  The new and improved Greta suggests that if he expects to continue seeing her daughter, he should concentrate on getting a job until the situation at the factory is resolved.  Lucas readily agrees.  Dani explains they were discussing forming a duo and plan on recording a DVD and shopping it around.  Greta wants Dani to continue her studies.  Dani agrees, neta.  This music thing would apart from her studies.  Lucas is so talented and he’s written some ‘padre’ music.  That may be so, says Greta, but one must be realistic.  No one gets anywhere without studying.  Lucas intends on building a career but his main thing is music.  He thinks he and Dani would form a ‘chido’ duo.  Greta smiles and says young people always have lots of plans.  It’s great if they pan out but she suggests that they work at whatever they decide to do.  She warns Lucas that he’ll have to work hard if he wants to be part of this family.  She suggests he follow Chava’s example.  Lucas is all happy and says something in slang that neither Greta nor I understand.  He translates and says he does plan to work hard and win her over.

New and Improved Casa de Chava
Chava complains to Sofia that Marisol wouldn’t divulge the name of the scoundrel, no matter what.  She advises him not to pressure her and just demonstrate he’s supportive.  Marisol needs him now.  Chava agrees and again wishes his mother were here.  She would know what to say.  Sofia is sure he’ll find the right words.  That’s all that matters now.  “No, it’s not,” he says.  “It’s also important for me to find out the name of the scoundrel who ruined her life.  I’d like to have that bastard in front of me right now!”

Depa de Armando
Armando admits it’s difficult for him to see Alexa kissing another man but he will try to contain his jealousy and be more trusting.  Alexa’s happy with that for now.  She wants the three of them to enjoy every moment and she plans to dedicate herself completely to making their family happy.  Armando’s confused.  What does she mean by that?  Alexa explains she wants to take care of them and also wants to help Sofia deal with all the problems.  Armando asks, “What about the acting?”  Oh, that.  That can wait indefinitely.  That’s all she really wants.  Armando can’t believe he’s finally at the side of the woman of his dreams, his life.  Alexa wants them to enjoy these moments as though it were their honeymoon.  Armando wants to work hard so he can give her the wedding she deserves.  She thinks that would be the cherry on top because nothing can make her happier than the life she has now with him and Nandito.  She doesn’t care where, when, or how.  She just wants them to be together.  Armando  thinks he has little to offer but she tells him he’s given her so much already.  Smoochies, and then some.

Marisol tells all!

Ay, ay, ay. Poor Marisol, what a cruel anvil these writers came up with. Used by a major league wolf and ending up preggers. Major anvil, and yet Irma gets a busride outta town.

After everything Irma put Armando and her only child through, this is the best they could come up with? Come on! I call bs.

Thank you for this most excellent recap Paquita! I'm with you this is BS! I wanted Irma to get hit by a bus and instead she just leaves in one! What. A. Ripoff. She should have gone to jail then had her miraculous self realization and change of heart! I'm just going to imagine she got her anvil in Jalisco.

Poor Marisol. I admit I felt bad for her. She was annoying, bratty and at times nasty but she didn't deserve that much humiliation. Well I guess the humiliation would have been ok if she wasn't pregnant. The humiliation will eventually subside but she's stuck with that baby for life. Ouch.

Ugh had to end the episode with nauseating Armando and Alexa.

Can't wait to read everyone's comments! I'll leave it for morning. Thanks again Paquita!

Thank you for the recap Paq.

I'm with you and Lily, I call BS on the Irma anvil. That was it? After all she's done? That was weak. If this is a sign of things to come then other anvils will be just as weak.

When Marisol was getting her beatdown, I also felt a little bad for her. But then I realized how stupid she had been and it subsided. I was annoyed at how the writers played it out a Chava's house after Marisol arrived. She just found out that a major figure in the company lied to her and got her pregnant, while he had a wife, and then the wife beats her up and she doesn't tell her brother what happened? Not realisitic and stupid. From the previews it looks like she only tells Sofia and not Chava, meaning maybe she swore Sofia to secrecy. If so, very dumb.

Yes Lily, Alexa and Armando was very nauseating. She just annoys me to no end. Was hoping for a Regina/Armando hook-up but guess it's not happening.

I guess i'm not the only one hoping for the Greta/Paco hook-up. Fausto was ecstatic. I agree with others, he is the best thing about this show.

I was also wondering how long that bus was going to wait. Irma took forever to spill her guts.

Anvil the size of a flipping little green pea. " Oh I have sinned. I have made my ex husband, his sig other, my son, his piglet, and everyone around me miserable. I have lied, cheated, stolen and beaten people up. I just noticed I may have been bad. Oops I am sure all you can forgive me , right? Cause you all STILL love me, right? Woops, looks like my bus is leaving. Toodles, later alligator. No hard feelings, right? Bye."

All aforementioned have sweet dreams of a bus careening off a Mexican highway cliff and bursting into flames.

Hey Whorisol, remember when Dani was out on HER lawn and this crazed banshee blindsided her and beat the snot out of her? OK. Yeah that little uh oh. Now imagine if the little 'woman to woman' you got had happened in your house in front of your family.

BTW not bad in her panties and bra. I'd hit it and quit it.

Paquita, thank you for the recap. It was very enjoyable.

Alexa is returning to her usual care free vapid self: she uttered one "ostras" and one "se lo digo yo".

Put me on the list that Irma's anvil did not quite do it. Thumbs down! A one way bus trip to a town in Jalisco? (But now she has two tickets, so us it round trip??)' Again, as in the case of Greta, there was a too abrupt change of heart and personality with nothing bad enough or crisis to motivate it. Just like with Greta, the change was not believable and ruined the portrayal of the character.

Marisol's experience: a good cautionary tale. Ever hear about birth control? So many women women in these novelas cannot be that stupid.

When I heard the knocking at the door, I was reminded of the very old SNL land shark routine, and then there was Silvana at her sharky best ready to take care of business. Patricio sure enjoyed the house cleaning. At least Silvana finally threw out Marisol's clothes and shoes to her. For a while it seemed like she would be forced out on the street in her underwear. Anyway, Mariana Seaone has really done the role of Silvana justice. Just wondering if one of Peralta's henchmen will be paying them a visit soon. I cannot see him not knowing Patricio and Silvana are together.

Lily, good bus comment. also, Alexa and Armando were nauseating. Too bad they had to waste him on googly Alexa.

Kirby, I likeyour bus accident plot idea. At least Irma woukd never darken Armando's door again.

I hope Fausto has the happy ending.

Jarifa

Armando should have pressed charges, that way Irma might be ordered to get professional psychological help with her demons. Her instant conversion and confessions seemed too pat and superficial after all the evil that she did to those she claimed to love.

Thanks, Paquita!

I think someone upstairs mixed up the anvils. Marisol's was much too heavy, and Irma's was much too light.

These sudden personality changes just aren't believable. Unless Greta's docs have put her on meds (happy pills), I don't get what made her change either. At least Irma had the motivation of not wanting to go to jail. And how nice she gave Armando's house back to him, the house HE grew up in and inherited from his parents. I wonder if they'll renovate it the same way Sofia and Chava did to his house?

Marisol's anvil was SWEET! I LOVED IT!!!!!!

1.) Silvana gave her the triple slap just like NBC's The Slap LOL !

2.) Chava & Sophia's reactions when they learned Marisol is preggers PRICELESS!

3.) Irma gets exiled out of Mexico City is a good anvil!

4.) Greta moving out of the Ripoli mansion? What ?

5.) Lucas & Dani groveling over each other!

6.) Peralta is still plotting epic chaos!

7.) Nice they remolded Lupe's house (I'm assuming it was weeks after her murder).

8.) Armando & Alexa together again, but I have a feeling there's another roadblock!

Vivi: the good news is that we'll never see Irma ever again!

Excellent Paquita.

Oh that poor Salvador, again unjustly punished but doesn't know it yet. How dare the evil doers kill his mother and impregnate his virgin sister. The horror

Love Fausto. He is like a (non) invisible conscience lurking in the shadows.

I love waking up to new comments on the morning!

Bryan I forgot to mention that! I too was wondering how long the bus would wait and how humiliating for Irma to get on the bus after she spilled her guts, like you said LOL I hope all the passengers stared and threw trash at her.

Kirby your comment made my day! I can picture the bus with just Irma in it, she fell asleep while the driver and other passengers were grabbing some tacos at a nearby stand. The bus's brakes fail and there goes Irma in the bus over a cliff! Love it!

And you brought up an excellent point about Marisol doing the beating herself on Dani at her own house! I don't feel so bad for her anymore, thank you!

Tofie: Chava has have lots of bad luck in this TN: first his racing car malfunctions, leading him to being a chauffeur, then he gets fired from Ripoli, he tries racing again, which fails again.

Now this!

Kirby: I was smiling with Patrick too as Marisol was getting The Slap from Silvana.

in* the morning! Paquita, wanted to mention that your title is perfect, a margarita sounds really good for tonight!

I want to see Chava finally get some evidence to support his sabotage claims! He sounds like a crazy person telling Tavares his theory even though we all know he's right. And I'm getting tired of Pato and Silvana's smug faces and watching them do their evil laughs in the bathtub, I want to see them start to scurry like rats.

Thank you Paquita. This was a great read this morning.

Carlos---It's the gringo. Remember me? We used to disagree on several issues but I must say that your comment on May 5 6:48PM
was right on. I know that you usually favor the bad girls and Irma surely would be in that category but there are others that deserve a cruel fate far more than Irma.

I'm no friend of Irma but being separated from her son Nandito is fitting. She will no doubt be spending mush time thinking and longing for him. Her exile so to speak will give her much time to reflect on her not so good past.

Kirby---Also from yesterday. I agree with you too. Chava is not out of the woods with Peralta and Peralta's henchie is one bad dude.
He might be needing a 1911.
the gringo

Thanks Paquita! You really captured this episode in all its emotions. I don't think we've seen the last of Irma. Riding off into the sunset on a bus was just too easy.

I must be the only one who likes Armando and Alexa as a couple.

I'd forgotten about Marisol's beat down of Dani. Still, Marisol didn't deserve what she got. Don't forget, this is a girl that is just out of high school, she's not even 20 yet and has never had a real boyfriend. Lucas was always in love with Dani. Marisol was victimized by an older, manipulative, psychopathic abuser - that's exactly what Pato is - then beaten by his older, manipulative, psychopathic wife and thrown nearly naked into the hallway while he laughed at the whole scene. Unbelievable humiliation for such a young woman. Good thing Marisol is strong and has a loving family. I could see a girl with less resilience committing suicide over this.

Now Silvana knows that Marisol is expecting Pato's spawn. That should result in one (or both) two things: She kills Pato or she tries to take Marisol's baby.

Paquita---A fine recap for sure.
A business man leaves the apartment next door for work and see's Marisol in her underwear crying. Just another day in the high rise.

Another good one Paquita was---She's walking as fast as her sprayed-on jeans will allow her.

Most everyone finds Alexa to be nauseating. I don't know why but I never have felt that way. OK! I will admit that she isn't the brightest light bulb in the room.
However, I have always liked the way she talks. Remember that I don't understand Spanish so I'm just going by sounds. However when she is happy, she's just adorable. Come on guys, give Alexa a break---she's not a bad person and she worked hard trying to do a good job on the movie set.
She does deserve a little credit doesn't she?

Marisol was a little brat and stepped over the line on more than one occasion. But---She has pretty much mad up with the people that she had wronged and has since become a nicer person.
She was deceived by a rat bastard
(many young girls have been) and she is now paying for her mistake.
An anvil for Marisol? She is suffering enough.
the gringo

sorry---made not mad.

I am (not quite) speechless that psycho Silvana let it go that Pato the semen demon left Whorisol with a going away present. Remember Silvana is certifiably crazy as in CooCoo for Cocoa Puffs nuts. Instead of cutting off lil patrick and putting it down the disposal she opts for placement in another location. I'd love some hubby in the real world try explain a child by another younger hot woman as revenge. What do you think Ms Bobbitt?

Did you hear that? Sounded like a chorus of anvils upstairs bumping together. Oh well, probably just me.

LOL Kirby---What do you think Ms.
Bobbitt? Did she ever re-marry? Is
there a man alive that would risk it with her?
the gringo

So ALL the Ripoll women, who started out in this TN filthy rich and snobby, have all been knocked down several pegs (materialistically, that is):
Sofia with "el chofer" Chava
Alexa with "el mecanico" Armando
Dani with "el rufian" Lucas
and, possibly (probably),
Greta with "el comerciante" Paco
and presumably they will live happily ever after?

Oopsie! Patricio didn't see the furious glitter in Silvana's eyes when he said he has made Marisol pregnant! Here she is, trying like crazy to get pregnant and he goes and ... uff! You get the point. He doesn't. Hope the writers follow this storyline up and make it hell for him.

Poor Monterey (they got Araceli) and Jalisco (they now get Irma) ... watch out, folks!

I loved Silvana's face when Patricio admitted, somewhat offhandedly, that Marisol is pregnant. I thought for sure she'd take that sandwich and shove it down his throat! I know Chava will eventually beat him up according to the previews, but I would love to see Silvana take him down for good and then end up in jail.

Marisol is immature in the ways of love and manipulative men. She went from Lucas who technically cheated on her, to a man of the world who obviously just wanted to get into her pants. I'm not forgiving her beatdown of Dani but I agree she's very young and obviously naive. She should have trusted in her family and talked to either Chava, her mom, or even Sofia when Patricio started coming on to her. I feel bad for her. *sniff*

Irma leaving on that bus? naaah, never woulda happened. Writers took the easy way out on this one, if she is truly gone. She has no job, no money, no family that we know of other than Aracely and Paco. Maybe she will end up in Monterrey and make Aracely miserable by obsessing over Armando!

Is it unheard of for the guy to move in with the female's family?
-Sofia/Chava marry and now she's living it up in the barrio with him (albeit the house is quite nice but still..)
-Armando/Alexa move in together first in his little apartment and now the small house in the colonia.
-Assuming Greta/Paco get together, will she move into his small place next to the store?
-Dani/Lucas? Will she move into that shack of a house with Lucas's mother & grandmother!?

I know that aside from Greta (before her personality transplant), the Ripoll women aren't materialistic but why choose to live in the guys' existing homes in their colonia instead of moving into the Ripoll mansion where they'd be more comfortable? I am sure Nando and Marisol wouldn't mind.

Or at least get a nice, new apartment in a better neighborhood like the one that Pato and Silvana each have.

Through this whole TN the only job Irkme ever had was working for Renzi. She never seemed short on cash. QTH?

Why not live in the mansion? A few reasons:

The mansion is up for sale.

None of these men want to prove Greta right that they just hooked up with her daughters to live the high life.

They're men, and want to be THE provider.

Both Chava and Armando already own their own homes.

Thanks for another great recap Paquita. Nicely done.

Hi gringo, of course I remember you and our little conversations. I'm glad to see you express a bit of sympathy and understanding for Irma. She's actually something of a tragic figure who has been ill-treated by most of the other characters and unduly despised by most of the commenters here. No doubt that she has often shown varying degrees of poor judgement and made some bad decisions as well. I had previously hoped to see her reunite with Armando with restoration of their family but now I hope that at least she makes Armando live up to his responsibilities.

Marisol is truly a tragic creature, xint summed her situation up quite well. I think a fitting ending for her would be to end up (happily) with Oliver as they selflessly rear the innocent child... much to Jerónimo's chagrin.

Carlos

Paquita, terrific recap.

If Lupe were alive, she'd surely tell Marisol that a baby is always a blessing. I can see Marisol and Chava raising the kid well with love. Pato is too evil to get this.

Silvana is just pitiful getting it on with Pato after the news.

Irma leaving on a bus is just odd. She would never just leave Nandito like that. I'm guessing we haven't seen the last of her.

Peralta's hired gun, Aldo is very good at eliminating people.

I don't think Peralta's done adding more to the Body Count!

Let's see if he goes after the Ripoli girls, which wouldn't surprise me to punish Sophia.

I for one would love to see Clark Kent Cruz unload one of his trademark rabbit punches on Peralta's glass jaw. Same for Aldo sans gun.

No fan of Chava, I would prefer Sofia be with ME. :-)
That said , trading lIcks with Chava is a two step process. He hits you, you hit the ground.

Lorena Bobbitt did not remarry but she has a partner and they have a child together.

John Bobbitt remarried two other women, one of whom he was accusing of assaulting.

Irma will be back. That was too easy.

I was laughing right along with Paticio when Silvana was beating down Marisol.

Irma will NOT come back EVER! Stay in Jalisco & don't come back!

Alan returns to wreak havoc: he's likely getting an anvil!
