La Fea Más Bella #125 10/16/06 Yummy....

The best filler episode ever!
The cuartel stands out side of the “Only for Women” show and debate going into the show. Sara says that either they’re all going, or none of them are going. Martha agrees. Lety and Irmita begrudgingly agree. Lola worries about her kids and how they’re doing with Efren.

Marcia talks to Alicia about Fernando. Marcia tells Alicia that Fernando is now involved with Lety’s personal life. Alicia says that Lety and the cuartel are going to the “Only for Women” show. Marcia says that what they do in their personal life does not interest her. She adds that if Lety disappeared from the planet, she would be the happiest woman in the world. Fernando is off with her again. Alicia says that Fernando started acting strange when she told him where Lety had gone. It was like he was in a trance and then he locked himself in his office. Marcia is worried. She never planned to be away from Mexico for this long. Alicia tells her that she should come home. Marcia says that would be impossible, because Luigi needs her. She asks Alicia to keep an eye on Fernando. Fernando walks in and asks Alicia what’s going on with her. She tells him nothing. He gets on the elevator. Marcia tells Alicia to follow him. She follows him to the elevator, comes back to tell Marcia she’ll be her private investigator and then runs after Fernando.

Efren plays with the kids. He brushes his daughter’s hair. Next he brushes one of the boy’s hair. He has a surprise for them. He tries to explain to his kids about the separation between Lola and him. He tells that he has a new significant other. His girlfriend…she’s…well…I want you to meet her. He’s going to bring her out to meet them. She’s very pretty. She cooks pastry, well no, rice. Well, at least she knows what to order when we go to a restaurant. He brings Yazmin out to applause. The kids insult her.

Tomas eats. Erasmo complains about him and how Tomas is always eating. Tomas talks about his good luck with the arbolitos. Erasmo asks where is Lety. The phone rings. Tomas thinks it’s Fernando and that he wants to yell at Tomas about the money he lost. Tomas tries to keep him from the phone, but he snatches it away. Lety tells him that she’s going to a party with her friends because the commercial went so well. Erasmo asks where are they going. Lety tells them that they’re going to the theatre. Erasmo doesn’t like the fact that she’s in the “street” by herself with these women and that she rode in a taxi. She should come home right away. Julieta convinces him to let her stay. The women complain about the wait. Lety tells the cuartel that her father wasn’t going to let her go, but her mom helped convinced him. Two women walk by saying it’s a two hour wait, and that you have to have tickets already because there aren’t anymore. The cuartel doesn’t know what to do, they’re very disappointed.

Yazmin and Efren talk. She tells him that Lola has turned his kids against her. They hate her! He says that they won’t hate her once they get to know her. Yazmin says this is all the fault of Lola and her friends. They have another conversation about Efren wanting Yazmin to know and get along with his kids. Yazmin agrees and says that when she’s done, they’ll look at her like another mother. Yazmin welcomes the kids to her house. They’re always a party here. Yazmin assures them that she will never tell them that they don’t have permission. They can do whatever they want, even watch TV. Efren nervously doesn’t protest and kind of giggles in the background. The kids run around the front room and start jumping up and down. They look like they’re prepared for a pillow fight.

Saimon exits a cab, Paco in tow. They’re in drag; really bad drag. The line is long, but they’ve spotted the women in the front of the line. At the door, the cuartel and doormen yell back and forth about the problem with the tickets. Sara wants to attack, but PM has an idea.

The kids play soccer in the front room. Yazmin complains that they’re going to destroy the furniture; Efren says it’s her fault. Efren tries to interrupt, gets kicked and then plays along. He kicks the ball into the lamp, but continues to play.

Saimon and Paco watch as PM tries to charm the doorman. Saimon wants to attack, but Paco holds him back. They go back and forth about what to do. Saimon’s sure that PM is deceiving him. PM continues to pour on the charm, in some strange throaty voice. The security guards behind laugh when PM says he looks exactly like some celebrity. He says that he thinks he looks more like Antonio Banderas. Saimon fumes in the background. The doorman says they can go in and sit in the front row if PM gives him a kiss. She kisses him on the cheek. He complains that it was not on the lips. She said he only asked for a kiss; he did not say where. He lets the girls into the show. Lety attempts to run the other direction, but they pull her into the building. Paco and Saimon fight over what to do next. Lety and Irmita pause on the stairs. Sara urges them along into the show. Saimon harasses the door man about the kiss. Paco offers him a kiss to get in. The door man says no and allows them to enter. The rest of the ladies protest. Gratuitous photos of men. (Why is that bald guy in every single novela?) Some are hot, some not so much. The women go down the hall. They try to find the room for the show. They all have an opinion about where they should go. They open the door to the room where the men are warming up. The bald guy points at them. They waive. Another doorman tries to push them out of the room. They ask the men for autographs. One complies and then the rest decide to sign too. Juana asks for a kiss from the bald guy, he acquiesces. Another man practically assaults PM. Each gets their respective man. Irmita and Lety remain outside. Saimon and Paco walk up to them and say hi. Irmita and Lety walk away from the strange women who are uglier than anyone in the cuartel. The men look in and see PM feeling one man’s muscles. She tells him that she doesn’t have a boyfriend. Go Lola! She gets two men! All the others talk to their respective men. Sara makes bad jokes. Irmita and Lety are still outside. Fernando somehow got into the building. Alicia follows. Fernando yells at the ticket office. The doorman tells him that he can’t go in because he’s a man. Fernando says he’s urgently looking for a woman. The doorman tells him that he’s sorry, he can’t enter. Fernando wonders what he should do while standing next to the “Only for Women” sign. (I’m not sure I’ll be able to handle it if he pretends to be one of those guys…okay, Amanda…breathe…take a sip of water…breathe…)

Lety and Irmita talk about how they want to go home, but Irmita says this is good for the rest of the cuartel. Saimon and Paco continue to watch. The women continue to make rounds with the men backstage. They tell the men how to spell out their names. Sergio Mayer as himself walks into the room; all the girls flock around him. He says that he’ll give autographs after the show. Lola explains that they ended up back in the dressing room by error. Sergio tells the doorman that the ladies need to leave. He waives and thanks them for coming. He asks the men who let the women in. They point to the bald guy.

The women stand outside talking about the handsome men that they just met. Irmita says that since they saw the men, they can go. PM says she wants to see the men dancing. They head off to the room to watch the men dance with Saimon and Paco following. Fernando sees an open door. He thanks the doorman and walks toward the door. He gets caught. The guy says he’ll be fired if he lets Fernando into the show. Fernando says that he has to find his girlfriend. Alicia overhears this and gapes her mouth. Fernando begs some more, but the doorman keeps saying no. Fernando holds out his hand to thank the guy for doing a good job. He pulls him down and throws him to the floor. Alicia runs over to the doorman, makes sure he’s okay and tries to open the doorman. Fernando shut and locked the door. The doorman says she can’t go in; he has the keys, but he’s not going to let her into the show. Alicia tries to break down the door.

Inside the ballroom the cuartel looks for a seat while an announcer works the crowd. Lety gets into one of the dancer cages. The announcer asks her to get down. The cuartel comes in, waiving. They take their spot at the front of the stage. The announcer has them booed for being late. Sara says it’s not their fault. Irmita and Lety look miserable. The announcer starts the show. Saimon and Paco enter and run in front of the stage. They bow and then run off to the table to sit next to Martha. In come the men. Martha yells at Paco for looking at her. She stands up to turn around and look at the men who are still dancing. The ladies go crazy. Lots of dancing. Paco and Saimon look away. Irmita comforts Lety.

Alicia stands outside the building. Marcia calls and wants to know what happened when Alicia followed Fernando. Fernando saw her. She apologizes and says that she’s going home. They won’t let her in, and she doesn’t have tickets. Alicia listens. She sighs and says she’ll try to find Fernando.

Fernando runs along the hall trying to find Lety. He hides from the doormen behind a plant and then yells that he (Fernando) went the other way. Back at the show, the men have taken off their vests. They’re still dancing to the same song. PM yells for them to take off their pants. The song ends, and the women clap. Paco dances; Saimon says he should be a decent women and not dance. The announcer comes back on and talks some more. Lety looks miserable; she’s thinking about her fight with Fernando. New song, new outfit. Yummy sailors. Lety complains to Irmita that she doesn’t want to be there. More dancing and disrobing. Paco screams. Martha thinks he’s acting weird. Paco says that he’s just not used to seeing this type of man. Lety gets up to leave, but is pushed closer to the stage. Fernando runs away some more. He really sucks at hide and seek, but luckily the other men are worse. He runs out and ends up on stage. The bald guy yells at him. Fernando calls for Lety and she yells back. He runs to her, but is pulled back on stage. He takes off his jacket. Paco, Saimon and the cuartel want to know what Fernando is doing there. Saimon and Paco realize how ugly they look. Juana says she doesn’t want to see that; Sara says e she wants to see. Fernando poses with the men, but in fully clothed.

Sergio Mayer yells at Fernando. They argue back and forth. The men pick up Fernando and put him down right in front of Lety. He and Lety run off and waive good-bye to Irmita. Sergio says that the show can not be continued. The girls wonder where Fernando took Lety. They must be going to the office. The women decide to go after them. Irmita says they should leave them alone.

Alicia hands her valet ticket to a valet. Marcia calls, again. She can’t sleep. She asks Alicia if she encountered Fernando. Alicia has good information for Marcia. Fernando told the doorman at the show that his girlfriend is deceiving him. Marcia asks what happened next. Alicia says she doesn’t know. Fernando went in, but she couldn’t. Marcia yells at her that she told Alicia to go in. Alicia decides to give it another try. She tells the valet to be careful with her car because it’s expensive.

Lety and Fernando run from the security guards in the hallways. Lety wants to know what happened with him. Why did he not pay any attention to her in the office and then follow her here? He blames her for all the stuff that happened to him that night. She laughs at his troubles. He says that she’s deceived him. She did not intend to come here, the cuartel brought here. She thinks its funny that he was so preoccupied with her. Where should they go now?

Will Lety reveal the truth behind the video?

Can Fernando own up to his true feelings?
Will the cuartel figure out what's going on? Will Alicia?

Much love to all! Have a great evening!

I noticed that the bald dancer was an actor in ''Barrera.'' Susanlynn

Thanks so much Amanda for such a quick recap! You do a great job. I felt so sorry for Lety and was happy that Fernando came to rescue her! Can they please now have an evening alone???

Can they please now have an evening alone???
But please not on Thursday because I will be watching Ugly Betty.

Thanks for the recaps

Did that chase scene remind anyone else of "Hard Day's Night"? (Or a Monkees episode)

Just so you guys know. If you ever want to watch Fea on Thursday, ABC.com will post the whole episode of Ugly Betty on either Friday or Saturday following broadcast. You have to wait a day to get the episode and you have to watch it on your computer, but you won't have to miss it if there's a big event on Fea.

I've also been hoping they'd rerun Ugly Betty on the ABC Family Channel or someplace like that, but I don't believe they are. At least not yet. :)

Right now I tape BOTH shows (while watching Earl/The Office "live") because I know the one time I miss LFMB, something huge will happen. And I just can't take that risk. :)

Thanks for the quick recap.

Is is just me or were these guys really crappy dancers? Fernando looked better fully dressed than these guys looked half naked if you ask me.

I don't know if it was crappy, but I didn't find it attractive. I did enjoy watching them just standing around in the dressing room, though, and it would have been okay with me if they had been wearing less.

Sara wondered if they were going to take their pants off. Now I'm wondering if they're going to get to finish the show at all. :-(

I think my favorite part was Fernando's double-take when he met not-Luigi. :-)

This weekend, La Parodia had an extremely funny burlesque of La Fea Mas Bella called La Fea Mas Fea. I don't know whether it will rerun or not, but I just happened upon it and kept wishing I had someone to watch it with me. I also thought it was noteworthy that the dancers were performing to Boom Boom by the Kumbia Kings (now the Kumbia AllStarz), of Texas:

I agree...goodlooking guys but not great dancers. ~Susanlynn

Just what I thought, no one seems to know how to dance and do anything in unison.
Not-Luigi looked really good but Fernando looked even better! I thought the whole nightclub scene was disappointing. I did love the rescue of Lety though!

From what I understand, this is a real traveling show (including the US) and these are the real guys in the show. And I hear that this Solo Para Mujeres show is how Luigi/Not-Luigi and Victor/Bald Guy actually broke into show-biz... So I was disappointed with the performance. I'm thinking maybe they put this filler episode together really quickly, and the guys in this particular line-up were brought in at the last minute, and were maybe out of practice.... I'm wasting too many brain cells trying figure it out!

I hope someone can explain how Luigi got in there. Is he supposed to be playing another character?
