Hey, I'm just grateful that someone is out there taking the time to recap for us (all of you recappers). Though I'm finally learning a word or two here and there, I still don't speak Spanish any better than I did before I started watching this, so all I can say is thank you (over and over). So take your time, new person, we look foward to reading your recaps!

By the way, you have my sympathy... that conversation between Omar and Fernando while Fernando was tying his tie was FAST (and adorable!! I love those two together!!). Good luck and hope you have fun with recapping!

I think we should have a rule here that recappers never have to apologize for the fact that they have a life and that indulging us is not their primary focus in life.

Don't worry. I am just glad you are recapping the episode. No need to worry about time. Patience is a virture we all need to cultivate.

I only read the recaps to fill in quick conversations and slang that I miss but my main reason is just to be able to talk to other fanatics since my family thinks I have lost my mind watching novelas and no one I know does. This is a very special sisterhood. I can be patient because I have a ton of comments about last night.

Alas now i have no excuse not to do my housework SIGH.

Thank you to whoever is doing it. Please don't feel pressure.

Ditto on mostly using the recaps as an excuse to compare notes with others!

However, I was doing stuff around the house last night and missed out on most of the conversations. I DID hear Alicia tell Tomas that Ana-Leticia is NOT a natural blonde, though. Let me tell you, I was shocked. ;)

I'm not much better with spanish either;however, I noticed if i listen to talk shows that i know more than i thought. Think it is because there is no music in the background so it is clearer. Anyway, I think I heard alicia agree get engaged with Tomas???

Yes, she was so incensed by the attention he was paying to Ana Leticia, she accepted his proposal twice, which made him faint twice.

And not just a simple faint, but a dramatic, choking, bring on the paramedics kind of faint.

Can you believe it? Tomas and Alicia getting married? I can't wait until she meets his mother!

I HAVE learned enough to understand when Aurora introduced that man as her fiance, so I guess it's all starting to sink in. But even if I didn't get the words, the look on Omar's face would have been enough.
Kim P.

I still think that was wrong for Lety to lead Omar on in that way. I know he had it coming and it will probably be a life changing experience for Omar, but should Lety have stooped to Omar's level? She is supposed to be so sweet, etc. but I have seen a lot of anger and revenge from her. She does not seem to forgive and forget too easily.

Lety got her very cruel revenge and badly hurt Omar which had been her vindictive little plan all along.

No...No...the worst part had to be when Aurora was talking to Aldo on the phone and she was doing the baby-talk..that just creeps me out..it is like giant sex goddess, talking baby talk..there is something just so wrong with that..then I didn't bother and tuned back in for DAmor, only to see Aldo put on his hair flippin pouty face..Creeped out again

I'm so disappointed that Lety is treating Aldo the way Fern treated Marcia...lying about where he was etc. All I can figure is Lety is getting to live the life the 'pretty girls" all get to live. She's not only experienced the cruelty of others, now she is also experiencing what it is like to be dishing it out. Not attractive.

Aldo is creepy controlling. Like when he said he didn't believe her, and was hovering around the house quizzing down the 'rents AND the feas - what - she has to report in where she goes to him now all the time? And am i mistaken or did her girly giggle turn to aurora throaty laugh and freak him out a bit?

That was very cruel of Lety to do such thing to Omar. But she was sorry, she told Caro.

Aldo was unbelievably creepy last night when he told Lety he didn't believe her. She is an utter moron if she doesn't see how controlling he is. She is also totally cold in the way she treated Omar, yes it worked but there were many other ways she could have done it like having the balls to speak to him in her own voice. It isn't as if he would tell anyone how the fea fooled him.

On the other hand Fern has really grown up and his efforts to help the shattered Omar were deeply touching and revealing of the man he really is and one who is WAY too good for Lety. And I give major, major points to Omar for going to Lety the next day and really apologizing for the letters and all the rest of it. He just never believed that what he had done to her could have hurt her and now he knows. It took a real man to admit what he did.

I don't think Lety sees what she is doing has any impact on her relationship with Aldo and I think his constant cross examining of her is even getting to her and showing up at her parents. The guy is bad news. I can certainly understand why his wife ran off if he treated her the way he is Lety.

I don't buy Lety being sorry when she told Caro. She has become so unattractive in her actions that she is just eating it up. I wonder what will happen when Omar discovers the truth and more of her bucket load of lies is revealed. Lety the saint her papa thinks - no way.

Terri

Aldo actually caught her in a lie this time... so I don't blame him for being angry and wanting an explanation.

But what I did NOT like was the way he immediately started jumping to conclusions and assuming the worst. (Which is exactly what he did when he found his dead wife in the van with his best friend... that is, it was what it looked like, but there was more to that story than met the eye... funny how he didn't learn his lesson that time.)

Ah yet another character talking to a picture. It has become a running motif in the novela. First Tomas goes completely over board with his chica, then Fern with his mirror and pictures on the computer, Lety with all of her pictures, Alicia with her shot of Aldo and now Omar and his black and white shot of Aurora. Some of these people are having more serious conversations with a piece of paper than a human being. And haven't we all done it at least once. ;-)

Tomas an his faint was so over the top i nearly chocked. Now I'm guessing tonight we meet his mother and that should be fun.

Aldo has post-traumatic shock syndrome from simultaneously finding out that his wife was (a) cheating on him (b) dead. I don't think you EVER get over that.

If I could I step into the picture and steal Fern for myself. How great was it when he went to Aldo's office and told him "I'm giving Lety her space and choice but if you hurt her you'll answer to me." Then we get the usual hissed aspixia comments. Aldo acts the tough guy and then flounces his hair and sulks. Sorry Team Aldo - the guy is now being portrayed as a total self involved controlling loser while Fertn turns more and more into the principe azul.

It looked like Lety pulled out one of her grandma dress for today, complete with the white hose.

Fern was great with Omar yesterday. But, I wanted him to chase down Aurora and give her a talking to. But, I guess the big reveal will have to wait.

Looking forward to meeting Tomas' mom.

I have to agree with those who don't like the way Lety is treating Omar. Revenge is very tempting, and god knows he deserved it, but there are just limits IMHO and she's being more cruel than she needs to be. I agree that it was good that Omar came to Lety to apologize. I still don't buy his being so very in love, he doesn't even know the woman for gosh sake! But, I guess in telenovela land lust over someone's looks is a good as.

As for Aldo, I've always stuck up for him, and still do in some ways, after all it's not like he hasn't caught Lety with Fernando before, but he definitely is becoming more unattractive. They have to make him that way so Lety can dump him without a guilty conscience. Still, knowing that and knowing it has to happen, it still pains me to watch it.
Kim P.

Kim I think you are right. The audience needs to feel right about lety getting back with fern, w/o feeling bad for aldo; otherwise the ending would not be completely happy as these noveles always end.

Re: Aldo and seeing his wife and drawing conclusions before knowing everything?? what was to know. she was in an accident, dead and holding the hand of her lover??? No??? Actually if you think about it. It could have been that they were on their way to find aldo, had the accident, realized they were dying and just grasped each other's hand and meaning nothing else at all. How's that. Regarding Aldo going to lety's house. I can't stand aldo at all, however, fair is fair. He is her boyfriend, why can't he stop by on the spur of the moment???

Aldo did seem startled when Aurora's husky voice came through. Although I don't speak Spanish, it seemed Lety was trying to cover it up with a cold or something?

Anyway, Tomas is a mess and poor Alicia to have to put up with him and poor Tomas to have to put up with Alicia. There is probably no one else who would have those two so it's a good thing they found each other. It's amazing at how Alicia's personality can just totally ruin her even though she is so pretty.

I can hardly stand Aldo's controlling actions. If he started becoming this demanding/controlling the minute they start dating, imagine what it would be like if they got married.

Thank you to all the recappers, both new & old... love your wit and humor in the recps...you guys do a great job and I appreciate the time you take to write the recaps...I would lose so much without your write-ups...thank you again...regarding last night: when Fern said, "...Ayyy, Aldo!..." I almost fell off the couch from laughing so hard!

Thinking back to Aldo and his wife. Yes he did find her in the car with his best friend and they were holding hands. I would imagine if you were in a bad car crash with someone it would be natural to put out a hand for comfort. As I recall the letter only said she had the affair with his friend because she did not believe he loved her as much as she loved him and wanted to get his attention. I don't recall it saying they were running off together. I suspect Aldo is over compensating with Lety so that it doesn't happen to him again and also that he deliberately picked an ugly insecure woman so he could mold her to fit his needs. He was very much against it when Caro once mentioned making Lety over a little.

Making Aldo suddenly unattractive to the audience so that they will be happy if she turns to Fern isn't the way to go because at this point they have made Lety such an unattractive, cold and nasty piece of work that some of us don't think Fern should be saddled with her. They need to make Lety grow up take responsibility for her own actions, stop hiding behind her ugliness and become the woman she was headed for in the beginning before the unfortunate detour into stupidity. And they don't have a lot of time left to do it.

Loved Fern the other day when he talked to Aurora and then commented that some women were so easy but not his Lety. Now I wonder how he will react when he finds out that she has been masquerading at the hot vamp and destroying his best friend. Fern has always put her on a little pedestal so in her effort to get revenge she is going to end up hurting Fern and even Aldo when he finds out what a sneak she can be. Once again Lety failed to use her head.

I did not like the way Lety answered Omar when he apologized, she was cold and I think she doesn't believe that Omar is really hurt, she was not sympathetic at all (just like Omar was with her). I'm glad Julieta answered that call, now she knows about the "other" guy, and I'm pretty sure Julieta will confront Lety.... maybe that is what she needs to get rid of Aurora and become the new Lety

what lety is doing is wrong! it's cheating (on aldo), why do the producers think this is indearing? i don't agree with what omar did but geez.. .bring back the "mas bella" part

"It could have been that they were on their way to find aldo, had the accident, realized they were dying and just grasped each other's hand and meaning nothing else at all. How's that."

Well, believe it or not, that was what I thought of when he told Lety the story originally. That it seemed pretty obvious what had happened, but on the other hand, if you saw a car coming at you, you might grab your companion's hand, even if you weren't having an affair, but out on some really harmless mission, like you're on your way to picking up a really big birthday present, or whatever.

But what I meant about "learning" was that he eventually found out that there was more to the story than he had originally thought - that his wife had still been crazy in love with him, and had been cheating on him only in hopes of getting his attention. (One wonders why she didn't just PRETEND to cheat on him to make him jealous... oh well.) So it wasn't exactly what he had assumed. At least she supposedly still loved him.

The lesson Aldo got out of this story was "don't ignore your SO," and that's good, but the other part of the lesson (which he didn't learn) was, even when your basic assumption is correct, sometimes when you hear the whole story, you feel differently about it.

I didn't blame Aldo for wanting to surprise Lety at her house, and being upset when he realized she had lied to him. And I am pretty annoyed that she didn't just tell him the truth (who knows, he might have been amused), too.

But I don't like the way he acts when he's mad - he immediately assumes that she's betrayed him in some horrible way. If he really thinks she's so innocent and perfect, how can he think her capable of such a thing? As it is, she's only playing a childish (if cruel) prank on someone Aldo hates anyway. So you'd think he'd be more open to finding out the truth, rather than this YOU ARE CHEATING ON ME kick he's on.

Does that make more sense? I don't know - maybe I'm splitting hairs, here. I really did feel badly for Aldo when he showed up at Lety's house and later she basically lied to him. But there are plenty of things a person can lie about - his mind automatically skipped ahead to the ugliest.
