Zorro: Friday, June 22, 2007: Amazons in old LA, will wonders ever cease?

Show opens with Esme promising vengeance for her mom and little Tisha. She opens up to SAM and tells him her mom was the best thing to happen to her and they took away her son. SAM begs her not to torment herself more. Esme tells SAM she won’t any more, her only goal now is to exact justice. SAM and Camba go to find a transport for the treasure.

Mangle is holding the baby while Diego tells her he has decided to name it, Alejandro. Mangle seems surprised that Diego is making decisions about their baby. Diego tells her that he though if he named the kid like his grandpa he will group up thinking he belonged to real family (define real Diego, cuz I doubt the de la Vega’s are your run of the mill regular families). Mangle tells him she approves and is surprised since he’s been distant she thought he would reject little Alej. She coos at the baby and frankly I am impactada but since Mangle has no motherly bone in her body. It has to be an act. She tells the baby he will learn to love her above all things (that’s a kinda strange thing to say to a baby). She takes the baby to his room and gives Olmos a look.

Yumi walks in on Alej in his study looking at papers. She accuses him of running from her. Alej asks Yumi to forgive him because he doesn’t know what’s going on and doesn't want to make decisions that might affect others. Yumi thinks its about her but Alej tells her its between Dena and him. Yumi tells him its something to do with Dena and Alej tells her that he doesn’t know how she will react from now on.

Dol sees Dena looking at the window and asks to confide in her. Dena tells Dol about Yumi and Alej’s betrayal. Dol is surprised but something in the way she said it makes Dena ask if she already knew. Dol tells her that nobody is betraying her, she wanted Yumi out too but now she’s seen how much Yumi cares for Dena. Dena tells her if she really cared for her she wouldn’t have slept with Alej. Dol tries to say that line that men don’t know how to control their instincts and I am reminded that Dena said those same things to Esme when Diego was going to marry Mangle. Dena doesn’t want to hear it there was a betrayl by the two of them. Dena tells Dol that she thinks her death would benefit Yumi and that’s why she insisted she drink the elixir.

Pito is in his lab not sure what he’s supposed to find in testing the elixir and what do I see on the table but a microscope. I’ve looked into this and this microscope doesn’t look like the ones that were around in the 1800s but then again since I don’t know anything about the invention of the microscope I am sure one of our enlightened bloggers can make a funny joke about this. He puts a sample on the glass and puts a liquid into it. Pito can’t believe it, the elixir has arsenic. Pito tells the air, it is all clear, it’s a strong dose but administered in small doses would cause a slow death.

Mangle puts little Alej in bed and rants to Olmos about Diego’s gall naming the baby without consulting her first. Mangle says that Monty will die when he sees little Alej and it doesn’t look at all like him. Olmos asks if she wants something to drink and goes to get a glass of something. Mangle goes to the mirror and questions her feelings for Olmos. A vision of Selenia appears behind her saying that she will look at Olmos with unbridled passion, he will be the perfect man for you then disappears. Mangle feels funny and worries because Olmos is taking too long.

Cue Amor Gitano

Dol is scolding Dena for thinking like that and defends Yumi. Dena tells her that she was accepting her death and wanted to free him from the burden of a dying wife now all she feels is betrayal and rage more against Yumi. Alej tried to tell her before she defended Yumi. She calls Yumi and traitorous Indian and that she had a reason for giving her the elixir and it wasn’t to cure her.

Fonzie is taking in the beauty of the entire hacienda de la Vega which doesn’t compare to MP’s. Meanwhile MP is having a grey flash back to Prudenico telling her & Diego that FS is missing. Fonzie calls her name and takes a while to snap out of reverie. Fonzie asks her if something is wrong and MP tells him that she heard FS is missing and is worried about him. Fonzie tells MP that he knows about how FS has made her suffer and that he’s still in her heart but she has to forget about him. MP says that’s what she wants also. Fonzie promises that by marrying him he will help her to forget but first they should not treat each other so formal with “usted.”

We go to Brother Aaron baptizing Fernando Sanchez in the river. Wow, its kind of touching really.

Yumi and Alej enter the living room and Dol asks to speak to him. Yumi takes the hint and leaves. Dol tells Alej to deny to Dena that he had anything going with Yumi. Alej asks why, did Dena say something. Dol tells Alej that Dena found them talking about that that errand he had no business in running to do. Dol pleads with Alej to deny it, don’t destroy her heart. Alej tells Dol that he can’t do it anymore. He can’t deny what is the truth. Dol tells him the only truth is that he loves Dena and knowing the truth will kill her.

We go back the jungle where Esme pleads with Gluck to hold on Camba and SAM will be back soon. He says don’t worry about him but he recommends that they leave that place ASAP. The land is owned by Amazons. I am not familiar with this time period so its news to me that Amazons were around but considering everything else this novela has provided (San Diego positioned a stones throw from LA, dwarfs, hunchbacks, love potions, miraculous healings by many) are we really that surprised? Esme looks around freaked out by this and asks if he has seen them. Gluck tells her that he has been a witness to many things. I don’t know if the way he talks or the fact that he’s has to take in a lot of painful breaths but I couldn’t catch the rest of rest of what he said so anybody else can chip in if it was of dire importance. Anyway, he gives his last breath and Esme tells him she will never forget that he helped get her to the treasure and restored her life.

Diego meets Dena and invites her to a stroll in the garden. He sees a spark in her eyes and takes it as a good sign. Dena tells him that there are sparks that consume due to hurt and disillusionment. When Diego asks for clarification she tells him don’t pay me no mind and changes subject to Mangle and the baby. Dena tells Diego that Mangle should be kept away from the baby. Diego needs no further explaination and tells Dena that he brought up the subject of separation and Dena tells him to convince her to accept it. Dena warns him that Mangle is evil, she destroyed Esme’s live, bad influence on the baby, the list goes on (okay I made the last one up but you get the idea). Diego makes a cute pensive face.

We go to Mangle apologizing to Olmos for all the harm she’s done to him. She tells him she will erase her bad treatment with caresses, considering how EVIL she has been that could take forever and I am sure Olmos will want to do a little more than that. They share a steamy kiss but Olmos tells her its they’ll be discovered there. Mangle loves danger, it turns her on. More steamy kisses and Olmos offers to go somewhere private where they can share a cup of wine and unleash the unbridled passion (more from his side I am sure considering how long he has been waiting for this moment). There is some talk about him removing her clothes and more steamy kisses and beckster’s comment about anvils falling comes to mind.

Diego pulls out the mapdallian and while looking at it, Dena’s words about Mangle resurface (why warnings about Mangle is anybody’s guess I mean I would of thought Esme words of love or a grey flashback to them together but alas the writers didn't consult me). Diego stares and he notices something strange, he gets a charcoal from the fireplace and does a rub off on regular paper and viola a map.

We cut to one of those Amazionans running away from some evil man (not for nothing but how secret is the island because people are turning up left and right. Next you you know everybody from LA will show up and we’ll get a resort location, put up some tents, a hotel...). She knocks him down but there are two more and she’s restrained by one of them while the other starts pawing at her. Esme sees this and intervenes and this allows Amazonian chick to free herself. Esme is beating the guy with a huge stick but alas he overpowered her and has her pinned and with Zorro still uncovering the secret of the mapdallian what is our poor Esme to do? Evil Dude starts pawing at her when arrows are fired and Amazonian chicks buds come to the rescue. Esme just stares and makes me wonder if she is thinking what we are ¿Qué the hell?

Diego and Bernie meet in the Foxcave and tells him about the map hidden in the medallion and how he discovered it. He asks Bernie to go to the library and get him maps of California and blue prints/plans (planos) of the stars? He tells the air/Esme that he isn’t crazy that the mapadallian means something and he has hope of finding her.

Back to Esme and our ¿qué the hell? moment and man they are scantily clad Amazonians. I am sure Bruce is getting an eyeful. Too bad Ferro is on vacation I am also sure he would appreciate this as well. One of the Amazonian chicks introduces herself as Azalea and Esme introduces herself likewise. Azalea calls out for another one and they say something like Machala Esmeralda. The Amazonians bow down before Esme and she does the same. Well Esme sure knows the saying its who you know and is running with it.

Duke Jacobo reads the intercepted letter from the Queen and curses himself for not given the order to assassinate the king sooner. He ponders what to do. DJ is informed by a guard? (he’s in a redcoat and makes me think of history class, wasn’t the British army called the redcoats). Anyway, he informs DJ that the Queen went to the church.

We go to the chuch were the Queen is in a confessional booth and PT tells her he can confide in her all her sins. The Queen tells PT that she isn’t there to confess and tells him that she is afraid for her life and worries that the men who killed her husband may be around her. Hey she isn’t as naïve as we thought. The Queen tells PT that if something were to happen to her, he will be the one to carry the truth to Spain. PT tells the Queen she can trust him. The Queen tells PT that she came to Spain to find out about the Maryorga de Aaragon, the true heirs to the throne her. The Queen rehashes Zorro’s visits and how DJ hasn’t permitted it. The Queen wants to meet with Zorro again but doesn’t know how. PT tells her he knows the information and he tells the Queen of SK being at the mission.

Cut to Monty congratulating Leroy about the weapons and telling to watch the house and its surroundings. He tells Leroy that he will send men little by little and Leroy is to give ‘em weapons. Piza will be in charge of training them. Leroy asks how will Monty maintain them being that they will need incentive to go along with the plan. Monty tells Leroy that DJ will give money on the excuse that the Queen needs extra security. Monty promises Leroy that he (Monty) will make him a rich man if he eliminates his enemies including FS and Monty will be the new governor.

The baptismal ceremony is over and BA is putting sandals on FS’s feet. BA mouths a what looks like a prayer.

PT rehashes for the Queen the whole story about SK but for purposes of the scene he ends it with SK meeting up with the gypsies.

DJ tries to enter the church but is held back by the Queen’s redcoats okay they have black sleeves but there is still red vest. The guards tell DJ the Queen has been in there a while.

Back to rehash, PT is at the part about the death of Mercedes’ mom and how she now became SK, queen of the gypsies.

A guard informs Misael that DJ knows the Queen is at the church and headed over there. The guard tells Misael that DJ is waiting for him in his office.

PT continues the rehash to the Queen. PT tells of SK’s marriage to gypsy Yamil (Esme’s dad) up to the present. The Queen questions PT about rumors about a daughter. PT rehashes Esme's story. The Queen promises to meet out justice. PT begs her not to do anything until she hears from him as if it was found out she knew about this truth her life would be in danger. The Queen tells PT, its illogical but PT tells the Queen that Zorro is protecting her and he will tell her when to act.

Diego matches the map on the madallian to a location on his map. He notes a mountain or something and Bernie raises an eyebrow. Diego admits its not the way he was taught to read maps in school but the image is the same. Diego tells Bernie to prepare Tornado they are going for a trip and Bernie is coming too. Bernie signs what are they going to find and Diego himself is not sure, perhaps a last hope or maybe just unlock the mystery of the mapdallion. One of Diego and Esme’s theme songs play in the background.

Fonzie and MP arrive back home and MP’s apologizes for Alej not saying hello. MP tells him he’s taking care of sick Dena. Fonzie says its okay and it was pleasure being with her today. He’s counting the days till their marriage, he kisses her hand and leaves.

Dol sees Fonzie leave and tells MP that she thinks Fonzie is a good man and the one she deserves. MP tells Dol about the knews of a missing FS. Dol gets angry at MP for thinking about FS but MP can’t help it. She’s worried FS will do something crazy.

BA is putting a brown cloak on FS and they share a hug.

Diego runs into Mangle who is leaving arm in arm with Olmos. She tells Diego she’s going to take care of some business at her dad’s house with Olmos (a likely story) she’ll return at night. Diego asks Olmos to give him and Mangle a minute. Diego brings up the separation agreement and how Mangle never gave him an answer. Diego is leaving so he doesn’t expect an answer but it’s the best option for all three of them. Mangle tells Diego that she won’t make it easy for him to get rid of her and that little Alej still needs a mother. Diego doesn’t want to argue as he is going to be out just wants her to think about it. Mangle tells the air, we’ll wait till Dena dies and then we’ll put a price to your dreams.

Pito asks Dena how long she’s taking the medicine and Dena responds with a few months ( I would think at least 6). Pito tells Dena she is alive by a miracle and tells her and Alej (who just walked in) that the elixir was spiked with arsenic. Dena and Dol are impactadas. Pito counsels Dena not to take the elixir and gives her something to clean her blood.

The two gypsies who went into town tell Jonas about the Queen’s plans for a masked ball and how that would be the perfect time for SK to met up with her. SK agrees its perfect but Hermes worries its risky. AC says that she can come too as she knows people who will help out in their plan.

DJ rips Misael a new one regarding the Queen’s letter. He prohibits Misael from mailing Queen’s without DJ looking at it first. DJ apparently now knows the Queen came to LA to find out the truth about the Mayorga de Aragons. You know this is news to me cuz I seem to remember the Queen wanting to come to LA to find out how its progressed. DJ reminds Misael that the Queen cannot talk to anyone privately. Misael asks about PT and DJ wants him investigated. DJ tells Misael that for the Queen’s safety its best she not find out any more information else she will end up keeping the departed King company.

Diego and Bernie watch little Alej get carried by his nanny. Diego promises to protect little Alej from anybody and anything including Mangle even if she is his mom.

SAM and Camba are traveling with the transport for the treasure and chatting it up sort of. SAM is worried about having left Esme alone with Gluck, uno nunca sabe ‘tole (you never know ‘tole). Hehehe. Camba pats himself on he head and SAM tells him I am sure you agree with me and I wish I knew your language because I would like to know what your thinking. SAM takes a break to take off his boots and Camba says stuff his language (maybe qué the hell?) but SAM doesn’t understand. SAM looks up and Esme then makes her way forward. Meanwhile Camba stares in awe at the scantily clad Amazonians.

Yes, Marcelis, I'm impressed with the Los Angeles Amazons. But only for their literary value in the story, of course. Whatever that may turn out to be. I could picture them being a key part of the coalition that joins with General Alejandro's army in the final battle with Montero and Pizarro.

I'm sure the Amazons', uh, healthy appearance is due to the exceptionally good air and general rapid healing that was obviously so common in Spanish Los Angeles.

By the way, the Amazon named Vanya (?), the one who said, "Machala, Esmeralda", looked incredibly familiar to me. But I haven't been able to place her. Wasn't she a minor character on some other telenovela recently?

Wow, the Queen's entire entourage seems to be in on the plot against her and the Mayorga de Aragón family. Whatever the plot is, it seems to involve having her as kind of a captive figurehead ruler.

The conspiring with Padre Tomás in the confessional was a nice touch. Based on their conversation and the letter she wrote to her brother - who apparently wasn't in line to become king, however that works - it seems like the Queen has been suspicious of el Duque all along. And that her story about wanting to see the progress in Los Angeles was a cover to fake out el Duque and the rest of her entire court who are apparently plotting against her.

But is she really going to want to step down from the imperial throne for Mercedes? She may have some serious second thoughts about that.

Then again, after having to deal with an entire court full of traitors and assassins, she may be happy to trade queenships with Mercedes and be the queen of the gitanos for the rest of her life. Or maybe join María Pía's old monastery.

Thanks for the recap, Marycelis.
Well, now we're into adolescent boy (& older, I'm sure) fantasy territory here with the appearance of the Amazaons. Next, Xena will appear. Unbelievable...good grief.
The writer has continents mixed up, as well as time periods.

I'm watching to see what happens when MA snaps out of her hypnotic state - poor Olmos. I don't know if he'll survive her wrath.

Zorro is now in "Ultimos Capitulos"- does anyone know how long that lasts? I guess after that, it's ultimas semanas, then dias. Two months?

I hope Almudena does not die. We know Esme & Diego will end up together - it's the novela way.
So, Almudena is my biggest concern at this point.

Great recap Marycelis. I just about died when Glock mentioned the Amazons---Oh no!! I thought, they certainly can't have Amazons added to the story, but they did. UGH!! I think it would have been better to have Yumi's people help them...so we've got Yumi's tribe hiding out, we've got the canibals, and now we've got the Amazons. Oh, need I forget to mention the gitanos are hiding as well. What a multicultural story we're getting.

Then of course, Camba's been with Spanish speaking people how long and hasn't been able to learn a few words, but Esme's in one scene with the Amazons and she catches on to their language right away.

Bruce, I think the Queen was writing to her younger sister. I don't know why I think that, but that's the impression I got.

I didn't catch that Zorro's in its ultimate semanas. It has been a crazy ride, but I don't think I want it to end. Then again, I'm watching Juan Q. and intend to watch Duelo's replacement (Valentino Luz (?) is in it and he's cute), so with Zorro that would be three hours a night of novelas.....I don't think I could keep that up during the school year.

Thanks for the recap, Marycelis - I'm going to start saying "Que the hell?!" all the time now.

Did anyone wonder how it was Diego concluded he should get maps of CALIFORNIA based on the info in the mapdallion? Might one first think of Spain???

Yep, Zorro is ending in about 5 weeks (it's 120 episodes, and we just finished #92). I wholeheartedly agree with Cathy here: "It has been a crazy ride, but I don't think I want it to end."

I think I have issues...(but not you Cathy!)

Thanks guys.

Bruce, their healty appearence can be chalked up the stark realism of Zorro right?

Regarding Vanya she probably was a character in a novela. I shoulda paid attention to the star credits when it started, it would have a clue.

jen, you can thank beckster for que the hell. she coined it and definiately one for the record books.

Anya I am anxious and at the same time afraid to see Mangle when she wakes up from the spell. It ain't going to be pretty.

I heard the ultimas semanas too. It's shocking considering there was Alej in one of his chat posts said it was going to be extended, but its probably a good thing the powers that be decided against it. Look at what happened with La Fea.

I'm going to miss this one when its over, it has definiately had its memorable moments from go.

OMG, hilarious. I thought those rainforest jungle women adapted quite well to the LA basin desert.....:) Not to mention how well they blend in with the European looking folks...

Marcelis, I would say that the Amazons count as another element of "stark realism", sure. Another one of those elements of California history that rarely gets mentioned. I'm guessing that the LA Amazons (sounds like a female biker gang, doesn't it?) are descendents of the refugees from ancient Carthage after the Romans destroyed it.

The Amazon thing works - at least in their first episode - because part of the fun of telenovelas is that they always have something that's over-the-top. But how do you get over-the-top in a show who's basic premise is pretty far-fetched to begin with: the Robin Hood bandit who's the son of the most prominent citizen in what was then a small community and nobody ever recognizes him? (You would think the identical mustache might be a clue.)

But with Zorro, it's a particular challenge because the writers have to pay some attention to the Zorro tradition which goes back to the original story in 1919. Zorro is mainly known through the movies and the Disney series as a comic-adventure hero who swashbuckles his way through the bad guys. But to carry a telenovela over months with five episodes per week, you can't really have Zorro on every night wise-cracking his way through the show. And, of course, for the telenovela you have to have massive romantic complications and tangled conflicts.

You need to have Diego be a personality contrast to Zorro. But it would be hard to keep that credible for months if Diego were too much of a sissy. So they have Tobías as the sissy double for Diego who provides over-the-top prissiness.

Present-day audiences expect some kind of reflection of diversity, a romantic version of which was also part of Zorro's character from the start: he was sympathetic to the Indians as well as the Spanish poor and he was aided by virtuous friars (though the actual Spanish friars in Mexico then were mostly not your liberation-theology types). So we get Spaniards, a "half-breed" Diego/Zorro, Indian characters involved with Spaniards who respect their traditions (though Almudena is having a bit of trouble right now with the plural-marriage custom), gitanos, a couple of black characters, a priest who heads an underground band of revolutionaries, a pagan priestess (Selenia), a convent full of abolitionist nuns who would be perfectly at home in a peacenik convention today - and now a tribe of Carthaginian Amazons.

The Amazons are definitely an over-the-top touch on the multicultural front! Despite their stark-realism portrayal.

Whether the roles of Dolores and Kamba get much beyond 1930s film conventions of black characters is another question. But Dolores has a tough core and she is accepted by Diego and Alejandro as having the right to give them in-your-face advice. And Kamba is an escaped slave and a demon-possessed freedom fighter.

Magic and voodoo and folk remedies and supernatural religious visions are not unknown in telenovelas. But Selenia with Valentina Acosta's talent at facial expressions and her magic dwarf - now that you don't get in just any novela.

Yeah, I had mixed feelings about hearing the "ultimos capítulos" announcement, too. But I suppose that "all good things must end someday". Plus, the good thing about really wrapping up the story is that the villains can all get what they deserve and all the True Loves can get together at the end before they all settle into boring domestic tranquillity and live happily ever after.

Wow, this telenovela is flying by. Ultimos Capitulos??? I hope it doesn't end during my vacation (July 28 - Aug 18), but since I'm going to South America maybe I will run into Christian Meier in Peru.

I was struck by the stark, white cleanliness of the white baptismal robs of Aaron and FS. Aaron must be a very fastidious vagabond to have such clean duds on hand.

Selenia re-hypnotizing Mangle (or Mangle re-hypnotizing herself via Selenia) in the mirror was a nice touch.

For all you doubters of Amazons and Cannibals in California, I have hard proof that Cannibalistic Amazons did, and might still exist in California. As my historical source I offer up a 'documentary' film on the subject, it's called "Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death" and you can probably rent it through Netflix or your local video rental store. So there! Now who's snickering over stark realism?

Another excellent recap Marycelis. Ultimos capitulos...wah!

Sylvia: Of course, I think I saw a listing for 'Cannibal Women'on the History Channel recently. In Southern California, then as now, anything could be going on there.

I also wondered how Brother Aaron managed to carry around such dazzling white robes.

The John the Baptist scene was very moving. Will it 'take'this time or when FS sees MP will be become his obsessed self again? It would be interesting if FS finally gets over MP and then she realizes that she wants him.

I think the novela is supposed to end on July 27. It will be sad but they can't go on forever.

It's been a great ride. I look forward to seeing it every night and am frequently surprised and sometimes laugh out loud and the ending credits come way too soon.

I now know the Spanish for such useful words as sorceress and hunchback.

Olmos has to survive Mangle's post-coital wrath. He is the only one who knows the babies were switched and he is the only one, besides Mangle, who knows that Mangle poisoned Almudena's medicine. If Yumalai is going to escape the rap for trying to poison Almudena, either Mangle or Olmos has to reveal the truth.

A big thank you to all for your funny comments.

To think I started watching "Zorro" after channel surfing and seeing a shirtless Diego in suede pants cut "down to there." Sure, I felt bad that he was being tortured, but couldn't take my eyes off him. And, it's all coming to an end. sniffle.

Anyway, I can't wait for a scene showing Garcia sandwiched between two Amazon beauties.

BTW, donde the hell did he and Camba find a horse and cart?

Sylvia, safe travels to Peru. Machu Pichu?
Marie from Mass
Bruce, I really enjoyed the weekly wrap-up at Old Hickory.

The only way for MP to desire Fernando would be for him to stop obsessing about her and, preferably, ignore her. Such is the way in telenovelas and in real life I might add. Jean, you are probably correct in your prediction. I notice you usually are.

Thanks to Zorro I can't exclaim "Maldita sea!" without rubbing my temple Montero-style.

Um...good question marie from mass. Where DID they find that cart and horse? (Yes, Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands.)

Another thing, I noticed that Diego/Christian was doing everything with his right hand only and not even moving his left arm. It made his getting the mapdallion imprint pretty awkward. Did he hurt himself?

Ahhhh, very envious Sylvia. Don't forget now, you promised you'd try the Cuy and maybe anticuchos! Just be thankful you aren't going to be in the jungle, because then your local options would include worms or grubs. I forget the proper local name of them, but they look like caterpillars and they are eaten grilled on a stick. I did not try those....but Cuy and beef hearts are defnitely tolerable in comparison, for sure.

There's a silly but fun little YouTube video "Preguntas en profundidad" in which several stars from Sin Verguenza and Zorro are asked to choose between a pair of famous Americans. The women are asked to pick George Clooney or Brad Pitt. The men are asked to choose between Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

Now, Paris Hilton is a total bimbo. But Britney, that's another story. Dissing an American icon like Britney would be like dissing Elvis. Worse even! Harry Geithner (Montero) and Héctor Suárez (Pizarro) both refused to pick and said nasty things about them both. Montero even said Britney's too fat. So their characters both have to die horribly.

Sadly, Bernardo (Ricardo Gonzáles) also refused to pick. So, that settles it, he can't wind up with Yumalai! But Tobías (Luigi Aycardi) picked both. Which is pretty bad, equating Britney with Paris. But his character should get to live for that, at least. He's already been humiliated by Pizarro and Catalina anyway.

Marycelis, I'm thanking you in advance (because I haven't been able to read it, given I'm on the road) for your recap, which I glanced quickly through and determined was your usual terrific job! I'll get to it tomorrow; the meeting room has Internet, I've been told.

;-)

Jeanne

Marycelis, thanks so much for the wonderful recap! What great details (as always)!

“if he named the kid like his grandpa he will group up thinking he belonged to real family (define real Diego, cuz I doubt the de la Vega’s are your run of the mill regular families).” You hit that nail right on the head, Marycelis! Was there ever a less conventional family?

Loved everyone's comments!

Since this was from Friday and I am a day late (or more, but not necessarily a dollar short), I’ll cut my comments and just say thanks again!

Jeanne
