Destilando Amor, 7/20/07: "Beware, The Repo Man Cometh (Eventually for Everyone)"

Frankie tells Rod that he intends to marry Sofia , his intentions are serious and as head of the family, he wants to square it with him. Rod answers that Pilar is the true head of the family and she would be the one to ask. Isa has been sitting and frowning all night like a wet, matty-furred puss, with its ears tilted back and a growl in the back of its throat. She cattily, and with much malice afore thoughtfully lets drop that Frankie's inability to find a job might be a problem. M-m-me-yhow is he going to supposedly support her? (Paw-licking and whisker-grooming here.)

Frankie says he's in the midst of choosing between a number of job offers right now and Sofia jumps in to explain it "is simply a matter at this point of which one pays more." This seems to satisfy what little there is of Rod's natural curiosity. He smiles and tells Sofia and Frankie that as long as he is a conscientious hubby (oh that's rich coming from Rodr-ego) and makes his sister happy, he's up with that.

Pammy back in Miami is playing hard to get tonight. Aaron is pontificating after a session of love-making and says that she makes him touch heaven each and every time. The only thing better would be the blessing of the child she's going to give him. Pam says, hold up there Mr. Biggy. I'm not getting pregnant till AFTER the ceremony. "What!" Sorry but them's her terms and that is that!

"--But, but we agreed!" Aaron sputters. The man is so totally unused to being denied, as the two little words, 'No' and 'Aaron', don't exist in sequence in his universe. "--Look," she explains. "We don't even know that Minerva really signed those divorce papers yet, do we?" "--But," he insists, "Patricio took her over to the courthouse himself!"

"-Weeellll, until we have the copy of the documents in hand, I'd rather not be in that kind of a situation." Pammy wheedles. "Look, 'Bichi' (I'd swear she just said "Biitchy"). You know my parents have never entered into the decisions I've made in my life. They would though, rather we do this thing the way it ought to be done, to do it properly. So, I have decided I am not going to have a baby unless it is done within the confines of marriage." (Shout out to that dinosaur of an old fogey writer who came up with that traditionally conservative sentiment.)

Aaron, the immovable object, has just been hit by Pamela's unstoppable force as he resigns himself to the situation. Figuring that the best thing is not to force Pamela in this, he thinks to himself that he can only hope that Rod's kid turns out to be a female, as we, Aaron's adoring fans, are the ones who are impactada. Pammy rolls over to make a pillow of his chest and you gotta wonder does she know the power she now holds by having tamed the beastly being that is Aaron Montalvo?

When Gavi finally arrives home it's late and she explains to Clarita how she lost the bet for a sale of encyclopedias in a bar and had to sing till closing. Unfortunately she didn't sell a single set of encyclopedias all day, but the bar at least made a cassette of her singing and gave it to her. The two of them have a dopey discussion about auto-suggestioning away not only the thought of Rodrigo, but their impending boat-load of debts.

Later around bedtime, Gavi looks at her new cassette and remembers the time she gave Rod the cassette she'd made at the little cantina in Tequila. She's frustrated that auto-suggestions to forget Rodrigo aren't really working. She takes a shot of tequila and admits to herself that waking or dreaming it's always the same thing: his face is always there in front of her, and every song she sings is sung for him. As Gavi continues to gripe to herself that she is condemned to love him forever, she takes out the blank label for the cassette and writes on it: "Songs for My Rodrigo". She draws a little heart on it and looks dreamily into space.

On the other side of town, Rod is sitting up in a dark bedroom next to a sleeping Isa and frowning. He grumbles and thinks to himself that next to him is a woman who "truly loves" him while he's condemned to love that lying, deceitful, gold-digging tramp, Gaviota. He curses her poisous memory that simply won't let him live his life in peace with the real lying, deceitful, gold-digging tramp who is now laying next to him, expecting another man's baby and passing it off as his.

The next morning Pilar and Sofia are chatting excitedly about how sweet and unexpectedly the fraudulent Frankie had asked Rod for her hand at the nightclub last night. Grammy says that the Golden Boy will have to come ask formally in front of the whole family. Sofia is beside herself with joy.
(Ec-h-h!) "Of course!" Grammy adds that this just shows what a proper upbringing he had. (She should only know.....)

Estefano calls to see whether Frankie is still freeloading in his apartment. He is and tells Estefano that the month isn't over yet, but not to worry. He's soon going to be marrying a rich (and idle) heiress (as we all know, to remain ideally idle himself).

At the same time Rod, smiling for all he's now mortgaged and as the proud papa he ain't, arrives with a tense Isadora at Dr. Tejeiro's office. He explains that as their family doctor, they've come to him for a last check-up before they travel back to the hinterlands of Jalisco. Isa nervously sits there thinking to herself that if she doesn't do something the dolt is going to begin asking all sorts of questions and that would mean trouble. She enters the examining room and when Dr. Tejeiros follows her in, she immediately tries to bribe him with a blank check. "Write in any amount you want."

Tejeiros acts offended and refuses to lie, saying he's keeping mum for "friendship's sake" --since perhaps HMO's and hospital consortiums still haven't saturated the Mexican Health-care Market like they have the States. Isadora asks him what could it cost to just take the check and be done with it. He looks thoughtfully at her, but still refuses her offer.

Excitedly, Grammy calls Rod to chat. Rod asks for Daniela and wonders why her cell phone was off. Daniela comes in just then and Pilar hands her the phone. Sofia points a bony, menacing finger at her sister, warning her to stay quiet. (Aren't we all just about up to our eyebrows with Sister Sourpuss's junior high giggles, her bossy, big-sister snarls, and those annoyingly distressing finger-jabs?) She has nothing to worry about though.

Dani tells Rod, who's curiouser and curiouser, that Videgaray already told him everything she had meant to tell him, which was just that it wasn't Vid who gave Mariana's identity away. Rod seems to think she's still hiding something but Daniela says it's just his imagination and hangs up, having turned into the wimpiest disappointment of the week.

Isa and the doctor return to his office after the exam and the twerpy Dr. T gives his seal of approval to the pregnancy. Rod and Isa leave for Tequila and Montalveña.

Speaking of Montalveña, in the stables Sayinyawanna? is teasing Hilario about Isadora. She asks him if he's still going to be so hot to trot for Señora Montalvo now that the boss lady is pregnant. They snipe back and forth at each other and when Roman comes looking for his son, he asks what the dust up is. SJ, who is just itching to cause trouble, warns Hilario, "Tell your dad or I will." He freezes up, so SJ tells Roman that Hilario has had the hots for Sra. Montalvo.

When Hilario refuses to deny it, Roman is immediately impactado. He goes BSC and starts slapping the hell out of his son. "It wasn't enough to get involved with a married woman. Now, it's the patron's wife!! You and your dirty, filthy doings.....!!" As far as Hilario's sad sick self, he begs his father to beat him because he deserves it.

Ofelia is looking for Roman and SJ sends her out to the stables. SJ smirks to herself that he deserves this and more for messing with her like he did.

Back again in the DF, Gavi's boss tries to encourage her to continue trying to make sales appointments. (Gees, girl. Give It Up! No base = no bread, literally, let alone the butter to put on it. Go sell tacos or find a nice factory there in the DF. Get a living wage.) When Boss man's "star salesman" arrives he asks him to peek in the door and help keep Gavi enthused. "Because if that charmer can't sell encyclopedias, then we really are sunk." So Star Salesman, Vidal, attempts to make the effort but leaves immediately when Gavi tells him she's bad luck so best not to come near her. (If this is supposed to be an example of how he approaches prospects, think slow, all show and no go, it's no wonder the company can't sell spit.)

Ofelia finds Roman slugging away at Hilario who is just taking it, all beaten and bloody. She manages to get Roman to come to his senses and stop the beating, but he refuses to tell his wife why he was so furious with Hilario. Frustrated, Ofelia returns to the kitchen to ask SJ, but SJ refuses to tell her. "Let Hilario tell you." Ofelia, tired of the girl's 'tude, fires her on the spot. SJ sneers back that she doesn't take orders from the cook and struts off.

At this point, Clarita calls Gavi at the office to tell her there's a lawyer, a couple policemen and some big men who are ready to impound their possessions. Gavi races home in a snit to find that since she has not paid the installments for either the flat screen t.v. or the stereo for the last couple of months, the creditors are taking everything of value, the dining room set, their furniture and all the appliances including Clarita's t.v.

Gavi reasons, cajoles and even threatens, 'cuz Clarita at least needs her t.v. "to survive"; but at this point they are not willing to wait even a day longer. However, the attorney assures Clarita that when Gavi gets current with her payments they can get it all back, even the t.v. that they "need to survive", in perfect condition. Gaviota has now learned the hard way that repossession is 9/10 of the law, and that "on credit" really means "You gotta pay or it ALL gets taken away."

Meanwhile, in stark contrast we are shunted back to Miami where Mariana Franco's nemesis, aggressively arrogant Aaron, is surrounded by American-style flamingo pinky-peach stucco and palm-frond luxury. He discusses with Johnny how best to begin the promotion of Agave Turquesa in select bars and discos in other countries. Afterward, Aaron takes a break and marvels at how he's making money hand over fist while the cheaper stuff his daddy preferred to stick with is stuck in the ports waiting for the embargo to be lifted.

Aaron then calls Patricio who enjoys purposely bringing up Minerva's plans to take a singles' cruise to the Greek Islands to forget Aaron and his rotten treachery. It seems Patricio knows his cousin well, and he takes his own perverse pleasure in sticking pins into Aaron's bloated ego. Patricio tells Aaron point blank that even though he's managed to involve him in his turbid business dealings, the vile and petty way he got rid of his ex was despicable.

Aaron tells his cousin not to go around acting like the town priest. Just cheer the woman up and keep her far away from him as he's promised his mother to do and all of them should just stop annoying him already. Patricio hangs up and smiles to himself. Aaron is really ticked to hear this about his former possession and slams the phone down. Pammy walks in to see what's the matter and he rudely tells her to just leave him ALONE, period.

At the same time, Minnie is staring off into space like she is in la-la land. She informs her maid she's planning to take a vacation for the next 10 days. The girl should take a trip back home starting immediately and take advantage of the time off. She walks over to a picture of her ex and tells him not to be so sure of himself. This war ain't over till it's over and they'll see just who wins the final battle. She throws the picture, frame and all, onto the floor.

Back at the hacienda SJ greets the returning patrons and makes a beeline for Isadora.

Ofelia looks for Hilario and asks for an explanation. He says he was disrespectful to his father and that he is unworthy of his parents. Ofelia thinks he's being foolish and wants him to make peace with his father.

SanJuana gives Isa her version of Ofelia's mean and petty attempt to fire her. She was simply speaking her mind to Roman about Hilario's having a crush on Isa. Now she blames her for Roman's getting so angry that he went and beat on his son. Everyone was worried that the Patron would get upset of course. She doesn't know if she did the right thing by telling Ofelia that the only one who can run her off the place is the patrona.

Isa tells SJ that her husband won't find out about this foolishness and she was right to come to her directly, and that nobody is going to fire her. After all she's Isa's own personal servant and employee-confidante. Isa then wonders to herself what gossip Roman might have let loose with to Rodrigo.

In Rod's office Roman is not his spunky self. Of course Rod asks if anything is wrong and they commiserate over what royal pains in the patoot kids (present and future) can be.

Isa finds Hilario in the stables and confronts him. "Just what did you tell your father?" "--Don't worry, Ma'm. I probably am a thick-headed ranch hand, nut not a coarse little man."

Very good and funny recap Jardinera. After last night's episode, I seem to be having a "is it just me" moment. So here it goes. Is it just me or is Rodrigo "Idiot" personified? Is it just me or does someone need to help Sanwanna lose a few of those perfect white teeth of her's? Is is just me or shouldn't Dani be dead now from all those scathing eye darts Sofie and Pilar throw at her everytime she speaks with Rodrigo on the phone? Is it just me or does Gavi have the luck of a wilderbeast surrounded by a pride of hungry lions? And finally, is it just me or does Roman really look like Ricky Ricardo???????

Very good recap...Hilario what a dumbass, yep Benjamin get a frickin clue Mrs. Robinson seduced you..

Alas Carmela it is not just you...I am laughing at work now over the Ricky comment, cause yeah...Sanwanna is a Trophy Whore Wife wannabe...

in nearly every TeleNovela I have seen when the always breakup comes..the rich guy continues to live rich yet miserable while the poor girl is just scrappin by...I would hold the ultimate grudge, come on creature comforts are important like a TV..

ooppps mas tarde I must trabajo now..

Hmmm... Gaviota's singing immortalized on a cassette... wonder if/when/how it will end up in the record company exec's hands...

I was thinking that Pammy seemed to have a humanizing effect on Aaron, but it was short-lived. He's more likely to destroy her than she is to reform him.

I stunned by Pilar's gullibility in judging other people's character. You'd think she would have learned her lesson after being "fooled" by Mariana Franco. Her first conversation with Frankie was very similar to her first conversation with "Mariana" - asking about his family, etc., and getting the same kinds of non-answers - but she still bought it anyway. Yeesh.

My comment: Go Minerva, you go girl! Can't wait for the fireworks of her day in the boardroom. I was sorry she took the divorce so willingly.
How much longer will this telenovela run? Too many hints have been given that Gavi is Amadore's child with Clarita. They will have to get very imaginative to get around the groundwork already laid.
Rod is just stupid, a good looker, but dumber that a brick. I guess Gavi realizes that she is the brains in that union. However, why spend time trying to sell books? We all make mistakes, but she could do almost anything else. And put Clarita to work. Guess that's why I'm not a writer for the network.
I'm hooked, though. Thanks for all the witty and very funny recaps.

Melanie

If Gavi got a real job she would have to give work referrals and the Montvaldos would squash her...lets say she has huges lapses in her resume

malice aforethought only arises in murder

not when people say things. it doesn't mean a pre-meditated malicious act.

Dear Anon 7:31 pm., you undoubtedly are correct, but I would beg the court a bit of literary license here, just as our beloved telenovelas do, particularly as in Isa's case, if looks could kill, then Frankie would be 6 foot under and fish food before the next dance set.

Hee hee! Carmella, you are so right! Ricky Ricardo........:)

Yep, Beckster, TWB wannabe, too funny!

Right now things are a little ridiculous, but hey, can't wait to see what happens next!

Excellent recap. I love the effect that Pamela has on Aaron. I love it when he smiles. At the moment he's thinking that he has everything he needs. A woman who he loves and one who can bear him the child that he needs to win the fortune. I'll bet when he finds out that the baby thing aint gonna happens he's going to drop Pam like a hot potato. Aaron is not going to waste his time on a barren woman when a fortune is at stake. I like Pamela but I wish they would have found a more attractive woman to play that part. But perhaps the writers wanted to contrast a classy person like Minerva with a fluzzy like Pam. I don't dislike Isa nearly as much as some of you. In fact I usually find myself identifying with the underdog. Still, the highlight of the story for me will be when she gets caught for blaming her pregnancy on Rod. I thought she was stupid to sleep around but I didn't get bent out of shape about it. But what she's doing now is just plain wrong and I hope it becomes her downfall ... soon.

thanks jardinera for the excellent and witty recap.

haven't been paying much attention to this novela lately, so it's nice to see that not much has changed in the lives at the montalvo mansions.

J.R. ;)

Very good and funny recaps. I've missed the last couple of days and sounds like the recaps are almost as good as the shows :)

Quick question that has been bothering me and might have already been asked but here goes:

If Gaviota is the daughter of Amador and Clarita (which I'm sure they are leading up for the big "discovery") and Rodrigo is the grandson of Amador, then doesn't that make Gaviota and Rodrigo related? Hmmm?

Again great recaps!

Is it a cultural thing in Mexico that mamacita's don't work? Clarita needs to get off her "duff" and help Gaviota, instead of sitting home all day watching novelas and cleaning a one room apartamento.

The local "repo" guys should just leave that same livingroom suite with the girls,as they've worn it out moving it in and out..

Does anyone actually think Aaron is going to leave Minnie & take up with Pammy? Not in a million years. She has too much info on his scam..He'll continue to be the "dog" he is with women on the side and the "whacko" at home.

The writers for Rodrigo character have turned him into a complete moron. With all Dani's efforts,I'm not sure he can be helped.I hold the hope that some time before this series ends,he gets a clue..

The wedding without the dating process is on for Monday,i.e. James & Acacia will be unwatchable, even though,I'll watch..

Love the reference to Mrs. Robinson. I believe Hilario will leave the hacienda and do something with his life, besides moan & groan over TWB(Isadora)..

To clarify their job situation:

It has been a matter of love and pride as Gaviota specifically asked Clarita not to go looking for a job because she had worked so hard all those years before. Clarita did sewing for the neighbors while Gavi was working as the hotel receptionist.

This time around Clarita pushed Gavi out the door to get work at the threat of going herself and just asked Josefina to ask around if folks wanted their ironing and washing done. With her sewing machine and her iron seized, I don't see her being able to do that. Her going out to find work outside the home, i.e., back to a hospital as a paid worker of some sort, could be another plotline.

Melanie: your heart is in the right place, but beckster is probably right. The Montalvo's have smacked the steel shutters on every window and door into any meaningful career in which she could use her experience and/or advanced votech education. The biddy at the hotel didn't/wouldn't give her a decent reference either. Gavi is back to square 1 because she gambled everything and lost.

After Trejo died, she probably should have still followed her insticts and gone to one of the other tequilero's for a job before getting so heavily involved with The Montalvo's, especially Rodrigo. I'm hoping she can reinvent herself somehow by trying out as a singer with some of these bands and using that tape of hers.

Great recap, Jardinera. I loved the “wet, matty-furred puss” description of Isa.

I agree with ExportRed that this will be the turning point for Hilario to get the heck out of Dodge and make something of himself. I think we’re seeing the set-ups for several changes – Gavi is going to have to find a job with an actual paycheck, somehow overcoming the Montalvo blackballing. And Minnerva is going to come back swinging, swatting Puffy Pamela out of play.

Something I’ve wondered, and I apologize if it’s been covered before – Why is it ok for Gavi to call her mother Clarita at times? It seems disrespectful to me.

Hubby's Suggestion/Question:

If Beni owns numerous restaurants, in particular the one close by in Cuernavaca, and Gavi knows how to reach him abroad, and as he is "part of their family" now, then why not write or call him collect for a job managing one of his restaurants, or at the very least, get him to give her a glorified reference, after all she did "wash dishes" for him for a bit.

That's not a bad idea. I've been wondering about Beni. I figure he can't be gone forever. It's probably pride that has kept her from contacting him, but perhaps he'll check up on her.

Then again, does he know where to find her? Or, if she's been keeping in touch, doesn't he already know what's going on?

Maybe Clarita will write him. She's got to be good for something besides comic relief!

BTW, thanks again to all of you for taking the time to read these recaps and expressing your appreciation. =========

Rhonda: you bring up a good point about why Gavi calls her mother Clarita at times. I mentioned somewhere that at the Christmas dinner-dance Clarita addressed Gavi as "ahijada" which literally means "goddaughter". This could be a hint, meaning then that the two are not physically related for some reason. Gavi calling her Clarita is probably just a cute trait that Clarita has allowed. (Most of us, I agree, would never dream to call our parents by their first name.)========

Mrangel: Some of us earlier here have discussed the possibility that Gavi could be the true grandchild/daughter of Amador while Rod or his father could have been adopted. That could mean Gavi would be Rod's aunt on paper only. It is extremely difficult for us to see them having the two leads literally be Aunt and Nephew; first cousins would even be disallowed in this culture, though second cousins and beyond probably not. If there is a family jungle vine then that's how I personally see it.

Can someone clear this up for me? Does Roman know that Hilario slept with Isa, or does he just think that that Hilario has a crush on her and that he slept with another married woman in the past?

Thanks, Jardinera for the recap.

Miranda

Somebody else may have heard it differently, but my impression is the latter, that Roman thinks there are two married women, one Hilario did sleep with and the other, the patrona, that his son has set his sights on.

Great recap, Rodr-ego is perfect, Jardinera. I'm with you, I still think Gavi should move on to show biz. Do the singing with the stars show in mexico to break into the business, or send in the tape.

It's not just you Carmella!

Gotta say: Gavi was living in denial, she continued to spend money she didn't have because they "deserved" to. She really never has shown fiscal responsibility, putting everything on credit, wanting it all, instead of paying as she got paid. (At least she would've owned a few things by now--like the tele.) What rubbed me was that she was mad at others and blamed them for her irresponsibility and taking from her what was never hers...
jb

What rubs me raw is that she threw the severance check in Aaron's face instead of throwing a snappier and better insult back in his face about him and his cousin, taking the cash and the car, driving off, paying the debt off, calling Beni for advice/a job--I remember he wanted to use her a few evenings a week prior to opening that place in Cuernavaca-- but then never looking back.

I think Hilario will be in line with Francisco and aaron, in saying, "the kid is mine". If it wasn't planned that way, wouldn't that be something to watch. Rod finds out it isn't h is. Aaron claims it is his and then Hiliaro and Francisco say, "hey wait a minute". It is mine ROTF. In regards to gavi and her mom. they don't look alike. They don't even look like they came from the same culture, so maybe they arn't related. Ret

Carmella: Roman has RickyRicardo eyes and you made me laugh at that. As for SJ, I'm with you and Ofelia. She's like some chronic disease, that sometimes you can control, but you can never really seem to get rid of.

My Spanish is not very good, so I thought Roman was beating up Hilario for having slept with Isa. Since he didn't, it doesn't seem he deserves such severe punishment.

Jardinera, you're so funny! SJ IS like a chronic disease--ROTF.

Really good points about the severance check and Beni. That could've gone a long way, because she really has to start all over--even though she doesn't want to...
jb

Thanks , Jardinera for the detailed recap. Gee, if Ricky/Roman beat Hilario like that just because he thought he had the hots for Isa, what is he going to do to him when he finds out that he actually slept with her?? I agree that AAron suspects that he is Isa's baby daddy because he told Fedra that he didn't think that it was the fruit of Rod's loins. But then Frankie and Hilario might be raising their hands somewhere down the line. Perhaps Frankie will blackmail Isa. It seems as if he'll do anything for money...except work at an actual J.O.B. And I wouldn't trust Sanwannawannawanna as far as I could throw her. She's nosy and tricky..if she suspects that baby is not Rod's, she is capable of blackmailing Isa , too. I have still not lost hope in Rodrigo. He'll come around , I'm sure. Isa seems to be drifting toward a beige palette once again. I can't wait to see her in skimpy, lowcut beige maternity clothes. I'll bet that her outfits will make Thelma look conservative in comparison. I agree with the person who said that Clarita and Gavi do not look alike. You can never tell though...my brunette aunt and uncle had 2 brunettes, a blonde, and 2 redheads. I think that there is some connection between Clarita and Amador. She was upset at his death . Could Clarita be young enough to be Amador's daughter ? Perhaps Clarita adopted Gavi. I'm sure that Rod and Gavi are not related because they've already done the deed a couple times , and I don't think that the writers would have had them do that if they were truly related by blood. Is Minervaaaa just lying low right now, and , then, like JAWS will she suddenly leap up when we [and AAron] least expect it and pounce on him ??? I think AAron will marry Pammy because she told him that she won't get pregnant until after they are married. I think that he will try for a very quickie wedding , so that he can get back into the Race for a Varon.

I am looking forward to the time when all 3 of Isa's lovers chime in together that that kid is theirs, and I bet it will be if the kid needs special surgery or blood transfusions, a typical novela plot device.//

Ramon is probably both sickened and scared to death for his and his son's well-respected, highly prized management positions on that estate working for one of the most powerful families in the country; he and his family could all be socially ostracized and dumped out on the street with nothing just like with Gaviota. Since it is Mexico, there would be no way to pick up their life or their lifestyle again for humble, hardworking people like these without proper references. The Montalvo's might even think to put Hilario in jail for it, though I'm not sure what law was broken, other than adultery, but it is Mexico, after all.

to the person saying they could find out during some type of needed surgery ROTF. Isn't that the truth. Baby needs transfusion. Rod to the rescue; BUT alas, it is not the same type blood as his hijo DUH. This is as bad or worse than Amor de fieras or something like that, that just ended a few months ago.

I thought Isa's adventures with Hilario and Aaron both took place months before New Year's and Frankie. No?

I don't think Aaron thinks it's his anyway. He's well aware that Isa's a hungry woman who's been willing to go outside the marriage for satisfaction, so naturally he doubts that it's Rodrigo's. But if he seriously thought that baby could be his, I think he would already have started looking into it by now. He's pretty keen to have a kid and I doubt that he'd waste any time.

Meanwhile, I just don't know what to say about Hilario. That poor kid. I'm pretty sure "but I drank a love potion" isn't an acceptable defense in the court of public opinion. ;)

They really like those love potions. Remember Esperanza's trips to the voodoo woman and her giving Luis the spiked wine [''it's your favorite...aren't you going to drink more ???''] which was drunk by Diego instead ...leading him to pounce on Esperanza to fulfill her vision of the Virdin giving her a child followed by violent retching and Juana accusing Luis of poisoning his primo. What a tangled web we weave, n'est-ce pas ?

Is is possible that Ms. Sherlock Holmes(Dani & sidekick Elvis) will break the "father of baby case",as she slowly uncovered what really went down when Gavi left Montalvos.? It seems every time she makes one step forward on her sluthing she hits a brick wall by the name of Pilar & Sofia, but don't look for her to give up. She loves her brother, and will stop at nothing to help him save himself..She's the best & my favorite..

Like others, I feel Hilario is out of there, now that papa Ramon has slapped him around, after confessing his "sins" with the hacienda hooker,Isadora..Ramon will probably ask him to leave, without Sanwanna,I hope..She's not good for him..In fact, she's a nuisance.

Sanwanna is hyped up and irritating as hell. I suppose that's their intent-- are there really people like that???

Also, I'm wondering if Aaron will demand DNA tests if the baby is a boy...
jb

Great recap Jardinera. Gold star for Exported for hacidenda hooker (TWB). I'm telling you now I'm going to use that one.

Karen

My Dish connection has a problem AGAIN. To be fair, the first time it was a new roof - now likely the guys doing the garden - pulled out the connection. So no telenovelas till Saturday!

Incidentally does anyone know when the show airs in Mexico - or at least the summaries on the ESMAS website. They seem to appear soon after lunch - i.e. about 1:00 p.m EST. So no telenovelas - so off to yoga:)
