Woohoo! I wonder if this will be the full-length concert? Thank you for alerting us - there is no way I would have known about it otherwise!

...but wait! The title says PM... the blog post says AM... is this on during the day or at night?

AM...sorry corrected

Thank you so much K!!!!!!!
Now if only we could keep getting these specials and tidbits it would be like La Fea was still with us!

Carrie L.

Woohoo. I'm glad to see La Fea again. Can't wait.

I saw both of those while I was noodling around and trying to set other stuff, and boy, was I excited! Set them both. Thanks, Kris!

Jeanne

I've looked at the schedule for coming LFMB show and it says that there will be something never shown before so I think we are tomorrow for the treat!
Also, the next Cristina's show will feature Angelica Maria - having Jose Jose show tomorow this is a great combination.
Eve

Something never shown before...that sounds exciting! I will be sure to set the recorder.

Thanks for making this a headline.

Teresa

I am so VERY VERY glad you guys posted this! I didn't know about it at all until I read it here, and will be gone tomorrow doing the July 4th family thing so I'd have missed it for sure. But now I've got my vcr set up and I'm good to record! I will clutch at every last little La Fea straw I can get. I'm still not a fan of Lety or the cuartel or that whole Tomy/Alicia thing, but I'm missing everyone else like crazy so I'm glad to get this. At least I'm taping La Otra and watching that every day to get my Juan Soler fix (and OH MY GOD is he gorgeous in that!!! Way better than in La Fea!!). Now if they'd just hurry up and release 7 Dias on DVD, the pics I've seen of Jaime Camil in that are adorable!!!
Thanks again!!!!
Kim P.

OMG!! I missed this, someone please tell me what it was all about and if possible, where can I get a copy. I am so bummed. I need to be checking here more often for the latest news.

I am so in withdrawal from La Fea. I really need to get some new hobbies.

It was just the two parts of Cristina put together. Errrrrrrr

Sorry there was alot, ALOT more on this one.(Way more Jaime) I just though it was going to be parts from LFMB.

There was more Jaime in the first hour but the same show in the second and even though they showed it in the promo, we still didn't get to see Jaime and Angelica sing together or the kiss. Drats.

It is so sad at 8:00 p.m. I had my fea schedule down pat, even bought a small handheld tv, just in case the family had the others tied up. I used to play compter games, watching lfmb, cook watching lfmb. The withdrawl symptoms are sickning. I see that I am still not alone. I definitely need a new hobby.

JUST WANTED TO THANK ALL OF YOU WHO DID THE RECAPS,I REALLY GOT HOOKEDON THAT SHOW I LOVE THAT LETY AND FER GOT TOGETHER,DO YOU KNOW IF THEY WILL HAVE IT ON DVD AND WILL THEY HAVE IT IN ENGLISH I CAN ONLY SPEAK A LITTLE SPANISH , I MISS THAT SHOW SOOOOOOOO MUCH. THANKS FOR ANY INFORMATION, THANKS AGIAN GREAT JOB.

Evelyn and Cathy, I have a lot of hobbies: I belong to a monthly epicurean club, I do volunteer work, I do crafts of all kinds, I watch a ton of movies, I cook and have dinner parties, I play bunco once a month; and I have to tell you it hasn't helped me. I still miss LFMB very much! I thought when it ended I'd be able to get more crafts done or something, but no, I just watch one of my tapes or wait for shows like this Christina episode. I think we're just all bitten by the bug and gotta let it run it's course.

At least so many people are continuing to chat in the blog. That was one of the parts I thought I'd miss most. Now if I could just log onto Julie's chat room when others are in there ;o)
Kim P.

Kim, I have watched some of the older clips on you tube, and I have missed out on so much. I tripped upon la fea in November, when I came across a vision of Lety as a younger version of my Aunt Elena. (The clothes, hair and glasses). I got curious, and got hooked. This was my first, and probably my last novela. I used to wonder why my mom got so wrapped up in the novelas. She didn't watch la fea, but she sure questioned me about the plot on a regular basis. Anyway, I hope that we can get some news about good, inexpensive quality copies. (Yeah right).

Hi Evelyn. I ordered the dvd's from novelasrus, I'll let you know how the quality is. I'll also be buying the official one that's released, because I do believe in supporting the artists (not so much the companies, because they've been ripping us off on costs of music and movies for years, but I do believe the artists are entitled to their royalties). Someone on one of these strings mentioned maybe a group copy that can be shared. I'm going to look into that and let everyone know what I find out.
Kim P.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is still having a rough time without La Fea!
I even miss seeing it on the head blog page. It took me a while to stop looking and head to the side bar.
I'm busy also with too many things to do that never get done, BUT, 8pm. with La Fea was my special time.
It was a time I would plan everything else around.
I would usually sit alone and watch and laugh and talk to the television. Sometimes I would call my family in so they could see what someone on the show was doing.
I would never believe that I could become so attached to a show that I thought was too silly to bother with in the beginning.
I can't get Telemundo so Zorro is out for me. I can't get interested in any of the others.
There is a big hole in my life that only Fern and Lety can fill!!!!

Carrie L.

Kim, Thank you so much, I would love to know about the quality of the novelasrus dvd's. I was going to buy the official version too. Carrie, I know exactly how you feel. My body goes into withdrawl at 8.00 pm every weekday. My hubby was teasing me that I should watch another show, and actually turned the tv to the spanish channel yesterday. I guess the look that I gave him (if I had lasers for eyeballs, he would have been fried), told him that I was not amused. He wouldn't watch fea with me, and thought it was silly, so I reminded him about the lack of quality of some of his favorite shows. What can I say ladies? We are true feaholics!!!!

We're so pitiful.
I listen to Spanish language radio and yesterday heard "Que Hago Yo" by Ha'Ash. Do any of you remember it from the episode where they're having a party to celebrate the prize (the Leon d'Oro?) for an ad campaign and had Ha'Ash perform?
It was right before the big junta meeting (pre - Acapulco), and Marcia is very sad & drinking too much because Fer is ignoring her, and Fer is thinking about Lety, while she's working late at Conceptos to get the "balance" ready for the meeting. sdgrqq

Anyhow, that song took right back to LFMB. Just when I was starting to get over it; well, starting to start to get over it.

Kim - glad you like La Otra. I really like Juan in it, and am glad it's completely different from LFMB. It's a good distraction.

Anya, yes I remember that scene so well and that song. I actually downloaded it from itunes. I also have Besame, and Te Tomare Una Foto (by Tiziano Ferro. I listen to them all the time on my Ipod. I really miss that show so much.
Withdrawal is hard.

To Kim P and all the Juan Soler fans, here is a link to some great pictures of him including this nude one.

Thanks Lola for the link, OMG - he is soo sexy in those pics! I wasn't his fun in LFMB but here I can see how I'm becoming one.
Eve

I know my family too would rather I find another show I can get hooked on instead of moping around missing La Fea.
We didn't have TV for a couple of days because of remodeling and I didn't care.
I've always been a real TV addict so that is saying something.
I miss my show, I miss the daily blog updates, I miss talking to all of you.
Yep, it's a big hole to fill.
My husband has even suggested getting the Spanish upgrade for satellite. That was something he wouldn't even talk about before because of the cost!

Carrie L.

Carrie L, what is the Spanish upgrade for satellite? I have Direct TV.

Lola, I have Dish Network and in the package we subscribe to there are only a couple of Spanish channels.
If we upgrade (and pay more) we could get more Spanish and English channels. Fortunately that would include Telemundo and Zorro. Unfortunately it costs quite a bit more each month which is why I don't have it right now.
We have been looking at switching to Direct TV but haven't made the decision yet.

Good luck,
Carrie L.

Hi Evelyn and everyone who's still reading here. I received the dvd's that I ordered and spent the entire weekend watching LFMB (even though I had a ton of other stuff to do, I'm SO bad!!!). Like a shot of heroin, it's helped with the withdrawals but it's still bad (I can't believe I got nothing done this weekend, I repeat I'm SO BAD!!! ;o}) As promised, I wanted to let you know what I think of the quality. I think it's very good so far on the discs I've watched.

My dvd player plays, but doesn't like, dvd-r discs, so I am having some problems with the picture defragmenting at times, plus if I pause it, when I come back to it the soundtrack is off and I have to stop it and start it again. However, as I said, I do believe that's a problem with my machine and NOT with the discs I received, because I also have that problem with the Mystery Science Theater discs I ordered, and with a disc of my cousin's wedding that I filmed on a digital camera and then had transferred to disc.

The show itself appears just like it would if you were watching it on tv, which means occasionally there's some static (I have that problem with my Dish Network, does anyone else?), but it's so rare I don't really notice it. So far, all of the commercials have been edited out, except one that I think they missed, and they did a great editing job. Oh, they do cut off the end credits, and in later episodes even the beginning credits, so if you really like the music in them, this might bug you!

I've only watched 5 discs so far of the 40 plus they sent (at 5 episodes per disc), but so far I'm very happy with what I've seen and very glad I bought the unedited (except for commercials) set. And I just love that I'm getting so see the beginning. It's amazing how much they changed Alicia, she was always "bad", but not quite the caricature she later turned out to be. And Fernando in drag was hilarious!!!

Anyway, that's my review of the dvd's for what it's worth. I'd be interested on getting some feedback from everyone about how they'd feel about a lending copy. For instance, ideas on how to determine who would get them in what order, where to ship to, how to pay for shipping/postage, that kind of thing. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know, either through this blog or you can e-mail me at kimbalette@earthlink.net.
Kim P.

Hi Kim,
I'm still reading everyday. I see not many people are posting any longer. Gee it's hard to let go.
I'm like you, still sad and missing my Fern and gang.
I would be so happy if they would start reruns here just as someone said they did in Mexico.
Have fun with your DVD's!!!!!!

Carrie L.

Hi Kim,

Thank you so much. I am happy to hear that the quality is good. I am definitely going to invest in a set, when my cash flow frees up.

Tuitions has got my pockets all tied up at the moment, but this will definitely be a treat for me.
Thanks again, and enjoy. I will let you know when I have returned to feaville.

Noo I just went on caray today (the llth) and I missed it! :(

Hello, where are all of the La fea fans? Are you still out there? Maybe the recappers could set up a daily La Fea diary so that we can still chat with each other without having to scroll through these old postings.
Did anyone see Sergio Mayer on "Don Francisco Presents"?

I really, really miss La Fea.

Hi Lola, I'm still here but I am feeling like I'm the only one left anymore.
I would love a diary for all of us to chat but I don't know if the interest is still there?
If you see this Julie I love the videos on your live chat site! I sat here with tears in my eyes!

Missing all of you and Don Fernie,
Carrie L.

Hi to Carrie & everyone still "hanging on" ;-) to La Fea. I still check in periodically, but not everyday. I'd be interested in setting up periodic chats, if we wanted to do it monthly or so... I keep checking the meebo chatroom also. Once in a while I catch someone there, but most often just leave a message. Kim, thanks for the DVD review; I may have to just break down & get a set! Miss you all & especially our querido Don Fernie. :-)

Hi everyone. For some reason I cannot get into the chat room. I have tried several times.
I'm at work now but I will try again tonight when I get home.
Have a good weekend everyone.

I'm glad to see there a still a few of us die hard fans left.
Maybe someone who is able to get on the live chat could ask Julie about having a fea fan site here?
I haven't had much luck there myself but love the video's and reading other's comments.
Have a great weekend!

Carrie L.

I still check this site every day as well, though I don't comment if I don't see anything new, and would love to continue to chat with people. I've gone to the chat room several times, but I never catch anyone. I think all of us being in different times zones makes it tough to get on at the same time. I'll keep checking both places and comment when I can. I've been watching the dvd's every night, I'm paying for Netflix and haven't watched a single movie from them since I got these LFMB dvds. But... it's a Don Ferni addiction that must be fed ;o)
Kim P.

I still cannot get into the live chat room. It just keeps saying "signing on" then in kicks me out.

It looks like the only comments now are on this "Fourth of July..."?
I've been searching for Don Fernie on Amazon. I've looked at telenovelas and cd's. I don't want to go back yet into my limited tapes from La Fea since what I have is not complete.
Does anyone have a recommendation for anything with Jaime in it?
I agree with someone in a past comment. I think we need a Betty Ford clinic for La Fea addicts!

Carrie L.

Someone in another posting said that there was a clip on You Tube of Angelica Vale speaking English on the show Extra. They didn't leave a link. I am going to try to find it. If I do I will post the link.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nj2XyEavEA8

Well, that didn't take long. Here is the link. Both Angelica Vale and her mom are speaking English.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeG2L59Jv5I&mode=related&search=

Carrie L. this is a link to a YouTube clip that has Jaime Camil & Angelica Vale singing at a concert for a radio station.

Thanks so much Lola!
I thought Colunga was gorgeous but in my mind Camil has even him beat! Just my personal preference but I think that Fern really brought out the best in Camil (in my humble opinion).

Carrie L.

Lola, one last time. Here is a cute video. You have to use the scroll bar because I'm no expert and didn't know how to make it fit in this space.
Thanks,
Carrie L.

Carrie L, they make such a cute couple. Too bad that they can't see it yet. Maybe some day.

I love the "Don't worry, be happy" too.
I would love to hear that someday in the future they got together.
She was so cute in the English speaking video with her mother.
He would be cute in anything!

Have a great week,
Carrie L.

Hi Carrie L. Regarding your question about cute stuff with Jaime, I rented Mi Destino Eres Tu from Netflix and he was cute in it. I didn't care for the show much, and really didn't like the lead actress, and to be frank Jaime wasn't the best actor then though he was ok (I think he's really grown a lot since then, talent-wise), but for just plain cuteness, it worked for me!

I Love Miami is going to be released in Netflix next month. 7 Dias is supposed to come out to theaters in August as well, in limited release, then the official dvd will be released. I have Miami on my Netflix list, so I can let you know how it is as soon as I get it if you like.

Good luck on your "Jaime Hunt". It's killing me, all these youtube links and I can't get them. Really got to get a new 'puter!
Kim P.

Oh, the english you tube post is sooooo cute!!! Thanks for posting I loved it!! Boy I'd checked in a few times, but missed this post for all these comments I guess. Well I am stillllll working on the rest of Cristina 2 and those extra conversations from this 7/4 airing so I'll repost them when I'm done, but chekc Julie's recent link out for chatting too! I'll have to do that too. ;0

I was wondering if anyone could translate the Cristina show that featured Angelica Maria. I saw it but couldn't understand a lot of it. It was a very nice show. Her daughter came on and sang a song to her.

Thanks so much Kim!
I'm so happy to see others are still checking this site and commenting.
I ordered the video you mentioned from Amazon just because it had Jaime and English subtitles.
I don't like reading and watching the actors at the same time but I guess I will give it a good try.
I'm still checking the clock every evening around 8pm which was my La Fea time. Geez, I'm a bad case.
It's nice to at least be able to go to utube and search for La Fea or Jaime Camil and see a few videos.
I hope Kim you will be able get it sometime soon.

Thanks everyone for keeping La Fea alive!
Carrie L.
