Caray, Caray!

Susanlynn, if you see this here is my message to you...I am up to my ears in a bunch of life stuff (nothing bad thank goodness) so I don't really have time to watch more telenovelas than Juan Querendon and Zorro (which ends Monday). I probably won't watch Amar Sin Limites, just not enough time, but I'll try to catch up with Destilando at some point, either before my vacation next weekend or after I get back in August. Amiga/Prima/Hermana, don't forget about me, I'm still around. PIRATES!!!!
 

This is a great list. Is it just me, or does Juan Q have more colorful idioms than the other shows do?

Yes, Nina, I think there are a lot more idioms in this show than in others.
 

After my first recap I was in a bit of a despair...all that rapid dialogue peppered with excessive dichos and idioms. Now I really like it. I realize it's impossible for me to catch everything, so I do my best, work on a couple of choice phrases and then move on. This telenovela has a TON more colorful idioms than others do.

However, our daughter's dogs have been enjoying THEIR vacation time here with us while she has been on vacation. Speaking of vacation.......PIRATES !!!!....
 

Sylvia~~~I hope that you join us in ''Destilandoland'' ...you will love it, I know. So many mockable characters ripe for the taking. Beckster is outdoing herself on this one. Sergio and Chantal alone are worth the price of admission ...and then there's a lifesize platinum -haired Barbie Doll who carries her purse into the agave fields and wears thigh-high CFM boots ....not to mention Rodrigooo who has really about 34 more facial expressions than Emilioooo and....really, really broad shoulders. Delicioso. Jump on board after you return from vacation.
 

Sylvia! Welcome home, hope the last trip was good and the next one will be, and THANKS for the vocabulary list! I'm with you; I do what I can to recap accurately with all the colorful language. What fun,t though, when we get them. We still haven't decided how much of what Juan though bubbles would be "Juanisms" and not in general use,though. Maybe some of you native speakers can shed light on some of those.

Susanlynn, I bet you'd like Juan. I confess I've tried Destilando multiple times and couldn't really get into it, so we'll understand if Juan isn't your cup of tea. On the other hand, even if one doesn't like the plot line, there's always Juan himself. Yum.
