Amar Sin Limites: Thursday Dec.6th, 2007- "This could have been a very good place to stop the show"
We start today’s episode with fifteen minutes of repetition of yesterday’s ending…..I’ll refer you to Wed.'s recap for this portion and pick up where Wed. left off..... Mauricio using Castelar as a shield against the police. Castelar gets riddled with bullets and finally one of the cops takes good aim and hits Mauricio. The authorities are able to get into the lab and free Azul and Katy. Diego, Ceci, Emilia, Arnaldo, and Alfredo all come to help. Happiness ensues as our heroine is rescued and the villain has apparently gotten his due. Of course, if this were typical novela fashion, our protagonists would be planning their wedding in the midst of the rescue and we’d end the show with a beautiful boda. Not the case for this show…..
It is a new day and Silvana is at the police station with Diego. She has learned that Mauricio has been apprehended and charged with the death of her son. She wonders how and finds out that Katy has remembered the day of the “accident” and that Mauricio pushed the car over the cliff with her mother and Nicholas (who was still alive) inside. The police assure Silvana that Mo will pay. Just at that point, to heighten the drama, Mauricio is hauled through the bull pen. Silvana gets to tell him off, call him a killer, and she admits that she was the one who tried to kill him. She adds that gracias a Dios she is not the same as him (splitting hairs, as it seems she isn’t repentant for attempting murder and has forgotten the whole vengeance is Mine stuff). Mo flips out, just so we can know for certain that the villain is crazy. Silvana tells Diego that now Nicholas can rest in peace. The police, who have witnessed this whole exchange make no effort to detain Silvana for attempted murder. Silvana wonders what will become of Katy now that her father will certainly get the death penalty.
Andres, all decked out in his prison khakis, gets taken to his new cell and meets his new cell mate. No introduction is necessary, it is Mauricio. It isn’t a feel good reunion. The two men play the blame game and Mauricio gets the last word as he uses the rope on his wrists to choke the life out of Andres. (¿Qué the bleep? Why would this man still have rope on his wrists and are we led to believe that the DF police budget is so tight they cannot afford handcuffs?)
Weeks later Dr. Toscano is awarded for finding a cure to the disease. The whole kit and caboodle are there to see the ceremony. GSD blathers on about how his daughter was his inspiration. After the award presentation the group socializes and we learn that Ines will be leaving town. She offers hugs to everyone (even Emilia) and assures Azul that she’ll be back in town for the wedding. Ceci has a run in with Omar from La Fea, aka Luis Felipe. He bumps into her and spills his drink. Ceci starts to tell him off, but when she sees how cute his dimples are, she puts her flirt on. Emilia and Azul discuss the future of Katy.
Silvana visits Anibal’s office and figures out that Clemencia has the hots for her boss. Clemi tells Silva that Anibal and Isela will be engaged. Clemi then runs a comparison of her husband and Anibal (guess who comes out ahead). She begs Silva to keep her secret and to most definitely not tell Gloria (the chismosa will certainly tell Isela).
Azul goes to see Mo in jail. He tells her that it is all her fault that his daughter will now be an orphan. Azul tells him that after their divorce she’ll be getting custody of Katy and with Diego they’ll be raising her. She adds for good measure that Diego will be a much better father and they will be a happy family. Mo flips out again and he rants that Azul will never marry Diego and Diego will never be Katy’s father. He tells her that they’ll never be happy.
Silvana and Isela discuss Anibal and Silvana learns that Isela doesn’t want to marry Anibal. So she breaks her promise to Clemi and spills the details of Clemi’s love for Anibal.
Anibal, Clemi & Lidia go to visit the graves of Paco and Abuelo. Lidia cries over Paco’s grave and feels remorse for betraying him. Clemi assures her daughter that Paco would want her to be happy and that she needs to fight for her love. They end up running into Silvana and Isela who are visiting Nicholas’s grave. The group discusses how Andres is buried at the same cemetery. Clemi says that thanks to Andres, Mo is in jail.
Arnaldo and Ceci spend and afternoon bashing men. Ceci tries to tell Arnie that Julio isn’t that bad. However, Arnie has a problem with Julio’s dishonesty regarding Diego and Eva paying Julio to give Diego work. Ceci tells her friend that at least Julio isn’t a murderer. Arnie tells her that fault lies with Andres. Ceci swears off men and says she’s going to focus on her career. She’s nervous about the upcoming fashion show. The phone rings and it is LF. He wants to get together with Ceci. She tells Arnie she’s going out and Arnie has to laugh—so much for swearing off of men, things never change.
At the cemetery, Isela and Anibal step aside from the group and discuss how the magic is over in their relationship. Isela tells Anibal that they are free to find the great loves of their lives.
Azul and Diego are sitting in a waiting room. She tells him that she’s afraid of Mo. Diego tells her that he’s afraid that Katy won’t accept him because of his part in getting Mo put behind bars. Azul says that Katy has always liked Diego and she’ll remember that Diego was the one who helped save them. The little imp comes skipping out into the waiting room and the three discuss how they’ll be living together and how happy they all will be. Katy hugs Diego. END OF EPISODE.

Thanks for the posting to fill in all the Thursday events. I tried to give a bit of background detail on my Friday recap but this is great to have your work added in.
Wasn't the strangling of Andres sad and so very artificial. I don't think letting Mo into the cell would really happen and it was such a bad idea given Mo's being in permanent sociopath mode these days, but here in telenovela land poetic license seems endless. Andres would have been a sexy target in the jail and if they didn't want to go that way with the plot, I guess it was better to kill him off early.
I'll sure miss Marcelo as my favorite eye candy on this show, but luckily I get a glimpse of him in the Pasion opening credits.
