Pasion Friday January 11 - Ric and Camila lock lips

At the party, Camila tells Ric that he can come see her to talk. She is trying to be coy but looks very much into Ric.

Jorge sees Ursula and tells her she looks pretty. He complains that Ric is cramping his style and wants Ursula to go get him away from Camila. Ursula teases him about liking Camila, he says that’s my business, don’t you worry about it, now go. Obey. She says fine, but she wants a favor in return. He says it depends what it is. Ursula sweeps over to the table and meets Camila for the first time (I was sure they had met, I guess not officially). She asks Ric to speak privately, he says he’s with the ladies, so later. She pushes, he says more firmly LATER. Ursula leaves in somewhat of a huff and Jimena calls Ric her hero!

Jorge tells Alberto that he is going to send Gonzalo to La Mariana to get a replacement ED card. Alberto wants to know why he doesn’t go himself, he was going to go in person to see Foreman, why not now? Jorge says Foreman merits his personal attention, getting a letter about someone’s capacity to get a boner is beneath him. La Font looks very displeased with the whole Gonzalo situation. I guess he would prefer to go himself and see how he could skim some money off of it, even though he said before he didn’t want to go.

Ines tells Ofelia and Rita all about how the people and the palace looked for the party. What is Rita doing up? Rita of course starts grilling her on Camila, if she was alone, if Ric was there, etc. Ofelia says that Ric would be a good husband for Camila, Rita says “I hope to God they get married.” Ofelia says she hopes so too, ignoring GRita’s sour tone. GRita wonders where Santiago is, Ofelia says he went out with a friend. “VASCO?” yelps Ines, seemingly turned on simply by the mere thought of his name. Ofelia says she doesn’t know and keeps trying to get Ines to get off the Vasco thing already.

Santiago shows up at Camila’s house, Ascanio answers, that is who he came to see anyway. Santiago wants to feel him out about being a husband for Ines. Ascanio is surprised but pleased. He says he doesn’t have anything to offer, Camila offered help but he wants to make his own work. Santiago offers him work. Ascanio says he’d hurt more than help, but Santiago says he needs someone who can speak to people better than the porno twins, he wants to start selling a new type of lantern, all over the place. They shake on it and smile at each other. I commented to my wife that I kept waiting for one of them to get a smirk or something, it was odd to see two men on this show being completely honest and genuinely liking each other.

Vasco talks to his friend that looks like the fourth musketeer about finding someone who would give money for something, nothing specific, just a thing that someone might be interested in. Great. Vasco should just burn the letter but instead will try to sell it.

Back at the party Ric is still checking out Camila, now from across the room.

Santiago comes home and tells GRita that he was talking to Ascanio to marry Ines, and that he offered him a job. She asks why he wants a job, did Camila throw him out? No, he just wants to work. She says Camila must treat him badly then. Santiago (rightly) asks why she keeps trying to make Camila out to be so horrible? She says that’s what hurts him, huh? That she doesn’t look at Camila with the same adoring eyes like he does? He points out that the only person who ever says bad things about Camila is GRita. Good point. She needs to drop it already. She has a bun in the oven, Santiago isn’t going to spend time over at Camila’s, Camila will marry someone, she needs to just drop it now. Of course she won’t, just so the karma stick can smack her that much harder when her little note invariably surfaces. Santiago basically tells her this, that the Camila thing is over, they are going to have a baby, let’s just move on already. She asks if Camila will marry Ric. He doesn’t know, but he wants her to quit dissing Camila all the time already. She says aren’t you going to tell me about your conversation with Ascanio? He quite brusquely tells her no, tomorrow, good night.

Ric tells Lis and Fran that he will leave Mario in charge of looking after them. Camila and Jimena say thanks to Jorge and Sofia and make their exit, Ric leaves in a hurry to catch up to them. Ursula bitches to Manuela and Fortunata that she has never been so insulted as when Ric wouldn’t leave with her. She turns on Manuela and wants to know why she talked so much with Lis. Manuela says she just talked to her for the hell of it. Ric catches up to Camila and Jimena outside and talks them into letting him walk them home. Jimena talks and talks, Ric basically ignores her to stare at Camila. Camila tells Ric that her sister is pregnant. Jimena wants to know how you can be three months pregnant before finding out. When they get to Camila’s house, Ric asks if now is a good time to talk she says ok. This whole part reminds me of when one roommate brings somebody home and is obviously waiting for the single roommate to make themselves scarce. Ric and Camila wait while Jimena excuses herself, then they move into the living room to talk. Jimena gives Ric a huge wink as she leaves. As they enter the house, Ric slows his walk to a macho swagger, then puts the moves on Camila immediately. He acts all suave and they start making out. Sorry ladies, you’ll have to find video for a better description. She acts shy but Ric tells her that isn’t necessary when there is real sentiment involved. They discuss whether this is real feelings or lust, Ric takes the approach of every man in this situation ever for the entire history of time and denies that it’s lust. Like so many women before and after her that have no idea whether or not that is true, Camila believes him and they continue making out. Finally he tells her that he has to leave in the morning, she wants to know if he’ll be in danger. He says its part of his life. She asks if he wants to live that way, he says no. Having been coached by Jimena at the party, he knows what to say and says that he wants to leave the life of the sea behind so he can settle down. He is worried about Jorge doing something while he is gone, so Ric says she should tell him that she is engaged to Ric. He says he knows he should talk to Justo first, but whatever. They can say that he is traveling to La Mariana to end his previous engagement. She thinks it is a lot of lies. He begs her to have confidence in him, in time he’ll leave his current life behind and will be what she wants, he’ll be at her side always. So basically I think they just agreed to get married. Ric kisses her hand and leaves. She swoons while the theme song plays. The song is growing on me, now I find myself humming alon.

Getting ready for bed, Fran tells Lis that they can’t trust Ric anymore, ‘Little Ric’ has taken over and he is surely on Camila’s side now. She says they can’t trust Jorge either. Lis says then why is Jorge getting a new ED card for them? Fran says who knows, maybe he wants it to exchange with Camila for favors. Lis doesn’t want to believe that. Fran says she is just trying to get Lis to realize what things are like in the real world. Lis cries that Ric would never betray her like that. Fran even says now that money isn’t a problem anymore, Lis whines that regardless, “It just isn’t fair!” Hey Lis how about throwing a little of that ‘unfair’ money my way, you can carry on your crusade of justice while I’m sipping drinks on the beach. Lis says maybe she can get help from Alberto, he offered, and Manuela invited her to visit. Also, now that they are alone, she wants to know why Fran and Tim hated Pedro (Ric’s dad) so much. She tells the story of how Pedro stole the woman that Tim loved, Mercedes. Pedro went over to ask for her hand for Tim, but when he got there he saw her and asked for her for himself. Again, after meeting Mercedes earlier, I can’t imagine why she was such a coveted woman. She was anything but attractive, even for her age, and she was a bitter selfish hag. She’s on her deathbed and all she can think to do is guilt her rich son into getting some other money back? How about “I love you son”? No, “Get the money even though you don’t want to, this unnecessary burden is my dying gift to you.” And since Ric is so ‘noble’, he’ll surely keep trying to find a way to clear up the inheritance thing. I guess marrying Camila would solve it, really.

Ric is getting ready to leave in the morning, he gives Mario instructions to move into Camila’s house and keep her and Jimena extra safe. Mario likes the whole ‘stay close to Jimena’ part. Ric will be traveling commercially this time since he has clean papers. Ric tells Mario not to forget about Lazaro either. Lastly, keep Claudio from running off to do something stupid. Mario complains about women and kids, he’s a pirate! Outside, Ric tells him that he is trusting him with Camila. After he rides off, Mario laughs at how the other guys are going to die laughing when the see how whipped Ric is.

Camila is back to being pouty and Jimena asks her if she’s nuts or what for having a problem with the whole Ric arrangement. She whines about know if Ric is really in love or what. Jimena says they are at least headed that direction, what’s the problem? Camila tells Jimena that the story is that she and Ric are engaged. Jimena loves it. Camila is worried that Ric will incur the wrath of Jorge with all this, Jimena says “awwww you’re worrying about him already!” She asks if there were smoochies last night too, Camila is a bad liar so she doesn’t even get to try to say no, Jimena sees the truth. In the end, Camila says she is going to talk to her dad about Ric. Jimena is happy about that!

Ines comes over to the palace to visit Lis. For some reason she hikes up her boobs before going in, does she think Vasco is in there, or what? Inside, Fran and Lis are writing a letter to Manuela about something, sounds like to make an appointment. Can’t they just go ten feet away to Alberto’s house? Some of the ceremony these people stood on back then is amazing. I guess the world moved so slowly they had time for all that. There is a knock on the door and Lis loudly whispers that she hopes it isn’t Ursula. Nice move. I was expecting it to be Ursula after that, just because Lis was dumb enough to loudly wish it wasn’t her. It isn’t, it’s the servant announcing that Ines is here to see them. They go downstairs, Ines is checking out the house. Ines tells them that Ofelia has found some servant candidates for them to meet, anytime is good. Lis wants curtains too, Ines says sure thing, she’ll take them to Justo’s store. Lis asks if Justo is Camila’s dad, Ines says yes. Fran says no way in hell is she giving any money to that family. Ines says that Justo has the only store in town, she’ll have to go who knows where if she won’t shop there. Lis overrules Fran and says Justo’s store is fine, Fran says she won’t go then.

Ascanio is off to see Santiago and Claudio wants to go with. Ascanio complains about it to Camila and Jimena, finally Claudio agrees that he does need to learn how to occupy himself. This reminds me a lot of my own soon to be 8 year old. He is completely incapable of being alone. In his dream world, he does whatever he wants anywhere he wants, the rest of the world stands at attention and just looks at him. He wants to just watch TV but someone has to be there. Oh and forget about reading a book or doing something else, your focus has to be on HIM. But I digress. Claudio seems to be too old for this, but then again he is also old enough to listen to reason and he drops his protest of Ascanio leaving without him. Camila then takes him aside and gently breaks the news to him that Ric is gone for a couple of weeks and Claudio needs to cool his heels on avenging his mother that much longer.

Mario visits Santiago and asks him if he can hurry up with the work since he wants the house ready tomorrow, Santiago says he’ll get the porno twins to work all night if they have to. Ascanio arrives, he and Mario are introduced by Santiago and they pretend that they don’t know each other. The actor who plays Ascanio (I know to all you ladies out there the fact that I don’t know his name is blasphemy, sorry sorry, I am busy remembering who the ladies are) does the best acting with his eyes in the novela business. Back when he was still the doorman at Tim’s and Camila asked him if he was made of wood, the thousand yard stare he put on was perfect. Here, he puts on the “I’m looking right through you” stare as he shakes Mario’s hand. Other actors trying to do this overdo it and it looks fake, Ascanio (wait – his name is Marcelo something, right?) stares this stare perfectly. Ascanio keeps the stare up until Mario leaves. He asks Santiago where Ric’s house is and various mundane questions relating to that. They check out the new little lantern that Santiago wants to sell. So now Santiago has invented the floor safe as well as the covered lantern. His name is Santiago Graham Bell.

Lis and Ines arrive at Justo’s store, who is there but Vasco to help them. Ines just about wets her pants but manages to explain that they want to look at curtains. Lis has trouble moving around and she instructs Ines how to help her walk (Jeanne, let us know how good/bad this was). Lis complains that it’s murder trying to move around in strange rooms. Camila walks in through the other door and sees Lis with Vasco and Ines, she tries to avoid being seen. Another employee of the store that looks like Antonio Banderas at age 20 asks if he can help her, she just wants to find her dad. Antonio Banderas, jr. says he’ll deliver the message that she wants to see him when he comes back, he is off at an appointment.

Jorge is pacing around while Alberto sits an listens. He is complaining about Ric, he is very much the jealous loser. He whines about Ric treating Camila like he has known her for years, he planted himself at the table and totally cockblocked Jorge. Alberto says yes, something is strange about Ric, he’s so full of himself. Alberto thinks that Ric’s engagement is a lie, he is definitely interested in Camila. Jorge says, do you think he is going to marry her? Alberto says maybe that, or he wants her for a lover. Jorge asks if that’s why Ric won’t marry into his (Jorge’s) family? Alberto says maybe Ric is so rich he doesn’t need to be related to Jorge for the money, or maybe he is just so taken with Camila nothing else matters. Jorge wants to know when Gonzalo is leaving, the answer is tomorrow. Alberto can’t even discuss it without showing his disgust. Jorge tells a servant to go get Justo and tell him to come immediately. Alberto wants to know why he wants to see Justo, but Jorge just ignores him.

Sofia is telling Justo that Ofelia still has a living relative that she wants to see, she is sure that Santiago is Jorge’s son. She wants Justo to come with her, he says sure. Justo says think of Santiago, do you really want to rock his world by finding out he has a different father? Sofia says he’s right, but she still has to know the truth.

Mario arrives at Camila’s house, while waiting for an answer at the door, he gets a drink of something from two guys hanging around the door. When the young servant answers, he lets himself in and says to tell Jimena that Mario is here to see her. He looks around and imagines himself getting comfortable here. Jimena arrives and Mario says that he is moving in to keep an eye on Camila and Jimena. Jimena says she understands Camila getting a bodyguard, but why her (Jimena)? Mario smiles and says that part was his idea. Jimena seems pleased with that answer. She offers some coffee to Mario.

Camila shows up at Justo’s, she finds out from Paco of the horrible hair that he isn’t home. Paco wants to play, but she says he’ll have to come to her house tomorrow and she’ll have all day for him. He whines and wants to play now. She asks where Ines went, he tells her with the blind woman. Camila leaves and says she’ll see him tomorrow. After getting a couple close looks at Paco, he is really being done a disservice with that horrendous mullet, he’s a cute kid. I guess he has to have wretched hair to show that he is Vasco’s son. Does having ridiculously bad 70s hair pass on to your children genetically? Can you have 70s hair if the 70s haven’t happened yet? I think Vasco was reincarnated 250 years later as Leif Garrett. That hairdo of his is going to look extra awesome once he gets fat and starts going bald, when he combs over the top and keeps the sides and back long. Awesome.

Justo gets back to his work where Antonio Banderas, jr. tells him that both Camila and Jorge left messages that they wanted to see him urgently. Of course he goes to see Jorge first, you gotta do what you gotta do. Jorge says that he understands that Justo is looking for a husband for Camila. Justo stammers but says yes. Jorge says he is interested in what happens to Camila too, he has found a husband for her. Justo (who with his hair and fancy cravat, as well as gasping and putting his hand to his mouth like a woman, looks more and more gay each time he’s on camera) gasps like a woman. Jorge says the guy is Gonzalo Montes de Oca. That’s what the captions said, but I’m not sure if that last name is right. That’s the same loser that they are sending to La Mariana.

The preview for Monday consists completely of Vasco and Ines making out in the dark on a bed. I guess he needed some action after Ursula cut him off again.

Ferro, you crack me up. Always. Thanks for the terrific recap!

“She asks Ric to speak privately, he says he’s with the ladies, so later. She pushes, he says more firmly LATER. Ursula leaves in somewhat of a huff and Jimena calls Ric her hero!” Whew! According to what I’ve read of the social expectations of the era, Ric committed a major faux pas. One NEVER said no if possible in a situation like this. Very bad form, that.

Re: GRita -- “she needs to just drop it now. Of course she won’t, just so the karma stick can smack her that much harder when her little note invariably surfaces.?” ROTFL!!! One can hope the smack will knock her right over.

“This whole part reminds me of when one roommate brings somebody home and is obviously waiting for the single roommate to make themselves scarce.” And this would be from experience, Ferro, or just what you heard from your buddies? ;-)

“‘Little Ric’ has taken over and he is surely on Camila’s side now.” ROTFL!!

“And since Ric is so ‘noble’, he’ll surely keep trying to find a way to clear up the inheritance thing. I guess marrying Camila would solve it, really.” Which will surely make her furious when she figures it out. Risky move, Ric.

“Ines comes over to the palace to visit Lis. For some reason she hikes up her boobs before going in, does she think Vasco is in there, or what?” She’s probably been watching Nidia on “Yo Amo a Juan Querendón.”

“Lis has trouble moving around and she instructs Ines how to help her walk (Jeanne, let us know how good/bad this was).” It was very, very good, Ferro. She was really going into the detail to give the visual information on the brocade, and messing up the “moving safely and purposefully from place to place in the environment” initially, which is exactly what I would expect from a newbie sighted guide. She began to get the hang of it much quicker than in real life, but then we know she’s had technical consulting from what someone else reported. It was very nice to watch.

Jeanne

Oops, I meant that Ines was giving Lis the visual info and not doing a good job of moving Lis around, which is why Lis gave her the instruction. Both did a fine job.

Lis/Ines played it exactly like it would happen with someone who has never moved around with a blind person before. Fran does better because of her long years of practice. As the show progresses, it seems they're getting more technical assistance in how it should look. I was impressed Friday.

This recap had me in stitches. The show is getting good. Love Ric putting the moves on Camila and that kiss was nice. Swoon.

Santiago Graham Bell --too funny!Great recap, Ferro.

Although I have to admit the KISS was sexy because Fernando is, I wish there was more chemistry between him and Suzanna.

But Ferro, you are too cynical. For whatever the reason, I think Ric is sincerely smitten and serious about Camila, and being honest when he tells her he wants to marry her, etc.

Thanks for the great recap Ferro. Your sense of humor is quite funny and kept me in stitches with your commentary.

You were right Ascanio's name is Marcelo Córdoba and he's a great actor. I'm hoping soon the powers that be will let him be a lead.

Now that Ric is leaving, you know all sorts of hell will break loose upon Cami (and Jimena). And with Vasco about to betray Cami as well, I'm starting to wonder about her family. (At least Justo is being manipulated horribly by Whorehey.) It makes that much more sense now that Cami created her own family because her real one is a bit sketchy.

Ferro~~~~Thanks for that very delicious recap. I agree that Justo is a very weird character...not a very macho guy. Thanks for giving Marcelo [Ascanio o o] his due. He is a master at giving the stink eye. His face is very expressive...his eyes..his lips...............where was I ??? And Ric is the master of putting on the moves....suave. He is the guy you want to believe even if you don't believe the line he's giving you. I thought that you were right on the money about that eternal conversation ...''But will you love me TOMORROW???'' This conversation has been going on for a looong time. And...Santiago Graham Bell...hahahahaha...good one. Saintly does have a lot of time on his hands now that he can't be stalking Camila because Rita is watching him like a big, scary hawk. So, what's next???? Will he invent some kind of dishwasher or toaster ??? Maybe the first Mexican pencil sharpener. Let's see.... Jorge just sent Gonzalo to Mariana on a secret mission to pick up another EDcard , and now he has decided that Gonz would be a good candidate for a marido for Camila. Yeah. Right. What a dilemma for Camila that will be. Who to pick...Ric or Gonzalo ??? She'll probably have to make a list...ponder the decision for a long time...ask others for advice. By the by, isn't the guy playing Gonzalo the same guy who was the dishonest hacienda worker on Amor Real...the one who was always making the sign of the cross on his mouth ??? As for Ines making that garment adjustment before entering the building...que the hell ?? Women usually try to be a little more discreet when attempting to put things in their proper place [except maybe my Aunt Emma] , but Ines was really vigorous and kind of giddy and excited about it. Thanks for the recap.

Ferro, thanks!

mad bess/susanlynn,
Toño Infante is acting as Gonz and he was in AR. He is a classic villain.

Niños, mujeres...Mujeres, niños... ¡Soy filibustero! ¡No una niñera!
Kids, women... Women, kids...
I am a pirate! Not a nanny!

Enjoyed your funny perspective, Cuzzin Ferro-Dreaded Pirate Cash.

Ricardo can surely put the great into the charming, no matter what he wears. Just wish there was more chemistry with Cami, she's like a cold fish. I wonder where he learned to put the moves on like that? Is there a leading man school? I hope Mario and Ascanio get to go there someday. I'm looking forward to Mario being the ninera while Ric is away...
jb-Iron Jack Cash

I'm enjoying the humor in this telenovela. That line from Mario was one of the best. I also loved Sofia calling Jorge's compadres "compinches" when she was doing the guest list for the party. ROFL

jb-Iron Jack Cash,
Cami, is indeed like a cold fish. It's part of the act.
She's on the rebound, after the shock of Grita's pregnancy and as Ximena mentioned to Ric, she's afraid like a mouse.

Helen J.

Yes Susanlynn! - The stink eye. That was the term I was looking for and couldn't come up with it. His stink eye at Mario was so good it caught my attention, being in such contrast to the usual over-acting we see from everyone in novelas. That dead look he gave back at Tim's house is definitely the thousand yard stare, that glare at Mario was the stink eye. I'd call him Stink Eye Ascanio but that sounds bad.

Ferro, thanks for the thorough, humorous recap. I'm glad it was enjoyable considering the comments it generated. In other words, It's like reading it twice considering the cut and paste of practically your entire recap. To those who think Cami is a cold fish, I agree with Caray addict 09:07. Give her a break. She'll warm up in time. Her seemingly coldness certainly isn't a turn-off for any of her male admirers. If she had been hot from the start she would undoubtedly been labled a whore.

Ferro, thanks for the fanny recap!

Helen J I agree with you. Cami cannot have more chemistry with Ric at this point. She is a woman who was raped once and had to face the attempts of rape by Don Whorehey and Old Boy Tim. She feels betrayed by Santly, the love of her life and she was raised in a catholic environment by a conformist father. (Ed. I was raised in a catholic conformist environment and I have payed the prize of the conformism.)

ITA. Camila is coming from having her entire world turned upside down with everything that's happened to her and she's understandably scared of these feelings she has for Ric and so she's very cautious around him. I think her aloofness is appropriate considering the circumstances. I love how Ric is slowing breaking the ice between them thanks to Jimena's advice.

Darn I meant slowly breaking the ice between them LOL. When I think of Ric my thoughts get jumbled.

You have thoughts when you look at Ric? Damn, my whole brain shuts down. :)

I have to agree about the lack of chemistry here. Yes considering what she has gone through Cami would be a little gun shy around a hot guy but there is a serious lack of chemistry between the leads. Usually in a novela there is some heat apparent between the leads even if the characters are supposed to be at odds. It's what keeps us going to see how it ends. She is also getting on my last nerve with the chin on the back of her hand pose like she is musing on the fate of the universe. It is annoying and makes her look like a worse actress than she is.

About people and their tics/mannerisms - I remember this being a staple of Alborada as well, maybe it is a Miguel/Estrada thing (I haven't seen Amor Real - I know I know I'll get to it). Ric has a thing where he wipes his lip, Justo gasps like a woman, etc. In Alborada we had the great "Caray Caray" exclamation and my favorite mannerism of all time, Antonio de Guzman's swishy flip the hair out of his eyes routine.
So basically what I'm saying is that whatever fault may be laid at Susana Gonzales's feet, I believe that her back of the hand touching her chin thing was given to her by the director/producer.

Thank you. Great recap. I think it would be a good idea if Santi and that creep Vasco would swish and flip the hair out of their faces, too.

From lower Ala

Ferro -- I think you are right. In the telenovela Lazos de Amor (also an Estrada/Miguel project) Lucero played triplets. They each touched their eyebrow/eye, but each one did it differently. It was one of the ways you told them apart.

Mannerisms: Gaviota tossing her hair. I wanted to slit her throat it was so perky.

Do you think they have that awful mullet on Vasco so they can clean him up at some point and everybody gasps in astonishment how beautiful he is? I can't think of any other good reason.

Yes, Cami has good reason to have been a cold fishy. But, after those kisses...those tasty kisses... I'm hoping she heats up and perhaps we'll see some sparks of chemistry, or at least hawt lust...
jb--Iron Jack Cash

I like the mullet/haircut theory about Vasco, Melinama. (It'd help if he didn't act like such a dumbass, too!)

Actually without the hair, I think the actor who plays Vasco resembles Brad Pitt. He is definitely going to clean up well.

Re Camila: I think the actress did have chemistry with Santi, so maybe when she "let's go" with Ric,she will heat up.

Yes, Fernando does have various mannerisms when he acts, including his always saying "si,si" in the same way. But what Suzanna is doing is called "indicating" in acting jargon. She is telegraphing the cliche of thinking rather than doing something in an original way that would express her character.(Like in Alborado, the way Antonio flips his hair is something only his character would do when he's nervous).

Anyway, I think Pasion is really beginning to take off...
NJSUE

Yes!!! I have thought from the beginning that Vasco looks like Brad Pitt. Also, Jorge reminds me of the Disney character Captain Hook in Peter Pan. With all the long stringy hair on the guys it was hard at first to tell them apart. I like Ric's curly locks now that he has dumped the dew rag and Mario's facial hair is quite becoming.
When I first saw the intro scenes I thought it was supposed to be an average day in the town square and rejected that idea because there was so much going on it couldn't be typical. Then I decided that it must be like a curtain call for the actors so they all get to be on camera. However, it makes more sense if indeed it is a cameo of the story, with the sequence of scenes representing the storyline. So I guess we have a wedding of Cami coming up, if that is her coming out of the church, and I guess Jimena will always be in an orange outfit. JudyG

I agree that Vasco has the Brad Pitt thing going on (face, not hair). Laughed and laughed at Mario complaining about the women and children, and that he was a pirate, not a nanny. We could have a spinoff sitcom with Mario, as "Kindergarten Nanny." Thanks for the recap, Ferro, most entertaining.
La Paloma

OHHH! When I heard Ascanio o o was going to work for Santiago I was thinking ... yummmy, another shirtless blacksmith with a leather apron. But what a disappointment, unfortunately, he is going to be a traveling salesman. But then again, I think I would buy whatever he is selling. Good idea Santi.

This recap was so funny. Very enjoyable and clever.

This whole episode recap has been HILARIOUS!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FERRO!! Loved the comments, too.

Has anyone noticed GRita in the intro scenes? She stands good 'ol Auntie Fran and they both look like they just ate or smelled somthing rotten! Talk about keeping in Character! Geez, they never quit!

As long as "Suave Rico" stays in the groove, I can deal with them I guess...;-)

All I know is I absolutely LOVE the gowns these women are wearing. The cloth looks terribly expensive. Do I have bad taste or are these really gorgeous garments?
