Pasión de Gavilanes, Tues & Wed., June 9 & 10 - The party for the opening of the fashion center has lots of consequences and Dínora gets busy
Thanks for the post on what was cut from the Norma's visit to Juan on Monday's episode. Hot stuff.
Eva looked so nice in her evening wear as opposed to the frumpy uniform type outfit she usually wears.
The Óscar/Jimena/Leandro carry on was amusing. Leandro looked very nice dressed up in the flamenco outfit.
Once again, the hired killers mess up (fortunately). Good thing there was that gun in Sara's car.
Now I want all the people who said that it didn't make any sense on LT for Hugo to believe that Soledad had betrayed him with Alcides to say that it is reasonable for Norma to believe that Juan was having a relationship with Dínora. It is ridiculous to believe that a straight shooter like Juan would betray Norma but his is novela standard operating practice. The lies of the evil ones are always believed so that the principals can eventually reconcile.

Dinora is a vibora for sure! Alas, it looks like Norma will believe her bull and that momma Gabi will assist in making her buy it. Although we know that Juan is no cheater, he has a history of dishonesty (you know, the whole lying to worm his way into her home so he could take revenge on her family) and that's going to be the logic our girl follows. If she takes the time to analyze things (wonder if Eva and Quintina could help her with that) she will realize it wouldn't make sense for Juan to ask her to marry him and move in to his house if was planning to cheat on her. A lot harder to sneak a woman into his bed when one is already there!
Oh, Marie Celeste, I had a thought about the Olegario-as-messenger thing. Although there's more to the Juan and Norma romance than just sex (man those two are hot together), they don't usually spend much time talking. The hacienda obviously has a phone, but those two haven't had a long enough conversation for the number to come up. I suppose when you see each other so infrequently for so little time, you don't want to spend it talking ;)
These are the times that try novela fans souls....
It makes me absolutely nuts when the hero/heroine believes the word of any old idiot before that of their beloved. But as we know, per telenovela logic it can't be any other way. So true to form, just as the plane of Juan & Norma's separation was coming in for a landing, off it goes into the wild blue yonder once again. So I guess we'll just have to hang in for the ride & hope it's a short one.
Speaking of foolish heroines, I was hoping Sara would be a little more sensible than Norma, but it appears not to be. She'll come around eventually, of course, but we have the inevitable intial rejection to suffer through, as usual. I do love watching Natasha Klauss & Michel Brown, though. Even though the change in behavior of their characters has been very abrupt, the subsequent transition scenes are very well played & the chemistry between them makes it seem perfectly believable.
The more I see of the Rosales clan, the more I fast-forward. The scene where their car puked smoke all over them was pretty funny, though. Better yet was seeing Juan in Oscar's "Tiberius Caesar" bathtub, covered with grime after his turn at trying to start the same car. He didn't look nearly as comfortable in the big tub as Oscar does, though. Just as well; I prefer him in the shower anyway. ;-)

On the Franco/Sarita relationship: It did seem to come out of left field and I was a little surprised she said she'd noticed him long ago... She had given Juan the eye, but had never seemed terribly interested in the boys and I was convinced at the time she'd eventually hook up with her BIL. Still, they do have great chemistry (and those kisses actually look real!) and I looove their little "horse flirting." Does anybody know if they did a lot of training for that or if they used stunt doubles? Between the way those two prance and Juan has the horses doing all those horse show moves, it's obvious someone spent a lot of time choreographing those animals, and did a great job.
I know there was much discussion about baby Juan (finally, he has a name!!!) not looking too much like his parents, but has anybody else wondered why Dinora is so much taller than her parents, or anybody else in that family? She's at least a foot taller than her mom and her cousin and almost a head taller than her dad and her uncle. Just curious...
I'm not a fan of violence, but I was very amused at watching Armando get beat up by the goons he hired; especially when he said: "why couldn't they beat up Franco like this?" I was a little impressed by Rosario admitting she's a "bad woman." The least she could do now is admit to Armando that she is in fact cheating, and it's not with Franco. I think deep inside she hopes that Armando will pull a crazy stunt that will get him either killed or arrested so she can be rid of him. Guess a simple divorce hasn't entered her mind. She's probably afraid he'll try to keep all the money she's made him.
I do hope that Jimena and Sarita (along with grandpa who's already working on it) can get Norma to at least talk to Juan. I'm not holding my breath though. It's entirely too early for these two to have a happily ever after.
