Pasión de Gavilanes, Thurs., July 24,
Olegario gets caught out in this two timing ways with the help of the fruit sons. I'm glad it was Dominga that discovered him and Quintina and not the other way around. Dominga is young and pretty. She can find someone else (like Miguel or Manolo).
After what happened before, did Carmela really think she was going to get away with throwing out Martin's stuff? Didn't Fernando tell her and Malcom not to provoke the sisters?
Dínora's disguise didn't seem to fool anyone. She reminded me of Antonia in LT in her 'George' disguise.
Why on earth did Norma, Jimena and Sarita think that it was a good idea to tell Grabi about Feonando gambling with his buddies? Grabi knew that they came to the house. What was she going to do - admit that her husband is a lowlife? All it did was p*ss Grabi off.
It looks like Feonando sinks even lower tomorrow.

Interesting that Juan said he was thinking of forcing Norma and their son to come live with him.
Miguel or Manolo would be nice for Dominga. When you think about it, those two really aren't bad--they're kinda cute, actually, and they are good boys who take care of their mother. Eva gave Dominga some good advice, which hopefully she will be able to follow.
Re: Friday - WOW. This episode was a humdinger. Gabriela has absolutely, irrevocably gone round the bend now. That was some fit she threw at breakfast after Norma reminded her that having been Fernando's wife before her, she knew what kind of person he was. If I were Norma, that fit would've been the last straw for me. I'd have grabbed Juan David, my toothbrush and headed straight for Juan's place without looking back.
But, thanks to Fernando's scheme, we see she's not the one to leave first. I cheered when Oscar finally gave Jimena an ultimatum. With the two of them legally married, it made no sense to me that she ever stayed with Gabriela, and I always suspected Oscar was the brother that would lose patience first. On the other hand, with the fact that Juan David merely exists, it seems way too dangerous to me that Norma & he stay on at the hacienda so hopefully she'll be the next to leave. Who knows, now that one brother has broken through, maybe the others will be more emboldened to insist that their women leave. Still, if everyone ends up at the Reyes' too soon we'll lose the conflict, so I don't see everyone coming over too quickly. In fact, as with Jimena, it's possible that the threat of violence may be the only thing that gets the other girls to separate themselves from mom. Yeesh...
When Oscar showed up at the Elizondo's to get Jimena, I was a little taken aback, however, with Norma's arguing for his right to confront Fernando for the offense to Jimena. It seemed so counter to the girls' usual role of trying to difuse violence, and that encounter would be a slugfest for sure. It struck me more as something Juan would do than Norma. (I guess maybe the two of them are better matched than it appears on the surface!) Thank God Fern's incredibly slow reactions, even with a gun in hand, made him no match for Oscar.
Although she didn't really have any alternative, Jimena did play right into Fern's hands. He wanted her out, and he took a big risk in pulling the attempted rape stunt to get her to leave. Fortunately for him, Gabriela is emotionally weak enough to take his side over her own daughter's, so it's paying off big for him. (This was really my "last straw" with Gabriela. As far as I'm concerned, she absolutely deserves every rotten thing she gets from now on).
I couldn't believe the chat Fernando had later with Armando, when Armando basically patted him on the back for his new appropriately "macho" approach to handling the girls. What a couple of misogynistic degenerates...
And as always, I wonder where Don Martin will land in all of this. Perhaps the boys should REALLY concentrate on him next. After all, most of the Elizondo staff is now at the Reyes place, so he'd be well cared for there by familiar & loved staff. And with him safe, that would surely loosen up the girls a little bit. I wonder if there's something on the horizon with him & Pepita?
I don't know if anything will "happen" with Martin and Pepita; and with her hectic work schedule, she's in no position to care for him. I do think if he left, the girls would follow, but he seems to want to be there for his wretched daughter. Still, now that he's seen Gabi take Fernie's word over Jimena's, he may well decide the fatherly thing is to let her fall and just tell her he'll be there to help her up when she's ready. And at this point, he and baby JD might as well have targets painted on their foreheads.
Juan will probably want to drag Norma out of the Elizondo compound. But for all his gruffness, he's very much of the mind that he can't force her to do anything against her will. Doesn't mean he can't nag and start breaking stuff though. Maybe he'll camp outside the house and keep vigil or something.
Yes, Armando and Fernando are a pair of degenerates. It was only one or two episodes ago that Armando told Fernando it would be a good thing if Dinora killed Norma and saw it as a just punishment for what she did to Fernie. He himself tried to have Rosario killed for the same reason. They deserve some pretty big comeuppances. Gaby as well, though I think losing her daughters and realizing what a slimeball she's married may well be the perfect punishment.
I also hope nothing happens between Pepita and Martin. The less I see of her the better. Unless she reforms! And him, too! It is terrible that he thinks it's fun to go to that girlie bar and get drunk and slaps women's butts. I wouldn't be so upset about it if people chastised him for this behavior, but his granddaughters think he is "cute" and everybody just loves him. And the worst part is that he said he would do it again! He didn't even learn his lesson or come to realize that this is wrong.
It was also very sad when Dominga was kicked out of the house the way that she was.
Yes! Three cheers for Oscar (I think thats his name) when he demanded that his wife go with him. I believe that the entire situation was stressing him out not knowing if his wife was safe, and he probly beat Fern out of sheer frustration.
Even though Juan is my fave because of LT. I still think that Oscar plays his role very convincingly.
