Thanks for the wonderful pictures, Jean. Again, you’ve captured the quintessential moments. I said it once & I’ll say it again: Juan and Norma are likely the most handsome bridal couple I’ve ever seen; just stunningly gorgeous. I did feel bad for them when they were attempting to dance at their reception, though. Their height difference makes it tricky enough, but when you add wedding clothes into the mix, it gets more complicated yet. With Norma attempting to get her arms (as near as she could to) around Juan’s neck, he could only put his arms around her waist, resting his hands on her hips. While it looked a little awkward, I’m sure neither minded too much. I know I sure as heck wouldn’t... ;-)
I had to laugh at Olegario, out working the skirts at the reception. ;-) Quintina also looked pretty cozy with her dance partner. Poor Dominga looked too busy working & watching out for Don Martín to do much socializing, but I still have hope for her & one of the Fruit Sons.
Once again, Leandro amused and delighted. I had a good giggle when Melissa ran over to rescue the musician that appeared to have caught his fancy. ;-D More good giggles as he continued to display his “unique” dance moves throughout the reception. I gotta say, though, that tango he did with that unidentified woman was fantastic.
We also saw Juan & Norma’s first little tiff as man & wife! I almost gasped when, in Juan’s truck on the way to the Elizondo hacienda to see Gabriela, Norma said they should have taken another car. (Woo!) I winced, but was expecting Juan to let it go in deference to her state of worry about her mom. But he stood up for the truck! Lesson for the new Señora de Reyes: Never diss The Truck! ;-) It was a very generous gesture on Norma’s part to stop in and see Gabriela, and I thought quite a touching scene.
Baby along on the honeymoon? I’d vote a big NO, but since it’s going to be a short one, maybe an ‘ok’.
Jean, re: Fernando & Dinora: This doesn’t surprise me. He’s so full of himself now that there’s nothing off limits. Remember, they dated before he & Norma were married, so he’s probably thinking he’s just correcting his previous bad decision. Problem is, two wrongs don’t make a right, they just make you twice as messed up.
Marie Celeste - I had figured they'd leave the wee one at home, but I guess it's hard with JD being only a year old. Then again, didn't they leave him all alone in his room for a while before they came in for pictures? Guess it's all relative.
Did everyone else do the happy dance at the reappearance of Juan's truck (Tuesday)? Marie Celeste, although Juan's a great guy who understands the meaning of family, he's lost all patience for Gabi. He really should have been more understanding of Norma (she's always been nice to the truck before), but a man never forgets his first love ;)
I'm soooo happy Gabi is finally getting a clue as to what a Rat Bastard she married. It looks like Sarita will finally unmask him (from the previews). I just hope it doesn't turn into another tragedy.
