Glad to have you back with the recaps. I really love how you do the show.

Somehow, the Salvador-Valeria pairing feels wrong to me. I'm pretty sure PJ would have looked at her in a more paternal way. Besides, he's too worldly to just get swayed by her piano playing and devotion to PJ.

Btw Jean, does your weekend catching up include a LT recap. Please do try and post something there as well.
 

Thanks for the catch-up Jean ;) I was wondering if you'd decided to leave this one now that you're doing so much more on DB. It's not a criticism, I just figured you were swamped.

CC I agree I don't believe the Valeria- Sal/Pj paring either..nope...she can't even kiss him proper for crying out loud! Those little pecks aren't gonna cut it... he keeps cheating on her with Isa...Woot!
Oh yep Abigail got a wakeup call from that little tete tete...she KNOWS! I think he enjoys dropping those mini bombshells on everyone...lol

Thanks for doing the recaps! I must say, I think Salvador is behaving very badly. Why is he still having sex with Isabel when he's falling in love with Valeria? I don't think that's something the noble and moralistic Pedro Jose would have done! And, even if Dona Rebeca's obsession is pretty creepy, why is he being so mean to her!? He leads her on by accepting some of her attentions, and then is so rude and mean to her. I guess because she's blackmailing him he feels free to be so horrible to her. But, again, doesn't seem like PJ-type behavior. I'm disappointed that Salvador doesn't behave more ethically.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's behind!!! Thanks, Jean, for your continuing efforts. Fortunately, I'm now well past this point in the show & now that the holidays are over I hope to be caught up COMPLETELY soon! (She says with fingers crossed...)

Speaking of where things are at the moment, I was ready to throw in the towel during this particular period. Firstly, every time PJ/S lets slip another Thing Only PJ Could Know I want to punch him. How this man became a millionaire business magnate is beyond me. Seems to me he couldn't win a poker game with the way he refuses to keep his mouth shut...

Secondly, I can't tell you how much PJ/S reminds me of Hugo de Medina right now (in a bad way)... His dragging Valeria into this latest love triangle is such an echo of what Hugo did to Michelle, the difference being PJ/S is deluding himself by thinking he really loves Valeria. He wants to love Valeria; her personal virtue and her love of & loyalty to PJ make him feel she's deserving of his love, and he's right. Problem is, we all know this relationship is doomed due his obsession with Isabel, which isn't likely to blow over. And Valeria, like Michelle, will be the one who suffers when it all comes crashing down. In a way, it could be cosmic justice for the way she's going to crush Simon when he realizes she doesn't love him. Just speculating here, so we'll see...

And speaking of Valeria, I concur with the comments about the bad kissing. I hope this improves as she & PJ/S get a little more practice. Also, maybe it's just me but ever since she "got her groove back", she seems incapable of covering her midriff. Diana Osorio has a stunning figure & every right to show it off, but a little exposure goes a long way. I don't need to see that full-moon navel every time she's on screen. ;-)
 

Martha the reason in my opinion that he doesn't behave as Pedro is because he's really NOT the old Pedro at this point..how could he go through what has happened to him and still be the same guy? He's young he possesses the looks of a God and he has no empire (although he is getting back in the mix now)...circumstances are teaching him a whole new set of rules. Rules that he has to learn by default and rules he's redefining from a different perspective rather than from his rigid generational view..the good bad and the ugly are all surfacing on Sal/Pj and this tends to make me refer to him as the third entity thats emerged. Lets face it the old Pedro would never have dreamt that suggestion to Isa that she kill Andres... this Sal/Pj is out for revenge and at times even when he's invocating on behalf of his daughter or Abigails family he is on the other hand being driven by a rather unsavory obssessive compulsion...which means he's shooting from the hip and come what may..! His old mans head is saying take Valeria she's what he wanted in his other life that unconditional devotion and love but this new Sal/Pj has the old mans deep seeded love for Isa that nothin is gonna pluck out of there plus the vibrant lust of a man in his prime with a smok'n body to back it up and just like a locomotive there ain't no stopp'n him now!
as far as Witchy Rebeca...that hag deserves every thing she gets...she's another that needs to quit touching him! gads! Don't forget she' treats people like dirt then walks on them and just because she can't control herself around Sal/Pj she's doing everything in her power to make him go to bed with her...there is a name for this and its not a nice name! uh oh...so don't feel sorry for her she's an evil conniver..he's way to gorgeous to give that hack the time of day!
Marie,..I've already said I think Valeria is a bit on the edge of the twilight zone and the outer limits, otherwise she would have already recognized Simon's puppydogg'n for what it really is....geeez! A few more lessons in the woods with Sal and maybe she'll wise up!!.....may-be?
