Tontas on Christina Show, Discussion, June 22, 2009
From the Cristina web site, it sounds like the guests will be Jaime Camil, Valentino Lanus, Jacque Bracamontes, and Luis Manuel Avila (Sven/Zamora). Others might make appearances as well.
Jacque will probably talk about her new Televisa novela, Sortilegio. Jaime will probably talk about his next project, Los exitos Perez, based on the Argentinian Los exitos Pels. He might also discuss his movie, Recien Cazado which was filmed in Paris in late 2007 and will be released in theaters in Mexico soon. And Valentino? I guess we'll find out.
Labels: Tontas
Jaime had this huge beard and was wearing a black and yellow sweater with bright blue pants. He talked a little about his next flim and that he would be in Argentina. I think he was dressing in character for his next film. Jaime liked working with the director, who by the way directed "La Fea Mas Bella". He along with the other actors was encouraged to add to his character.
Jackie looked beautiful and elegant in a gray dress with ruffles. It was apparent that they had a great relationship and were good friends. Jackie stated the hardest thing about working with Jaime was that he made her laugh so much. They showed clips of the novela . Christina asked Jackie about her past relationship with Valentino and was it hard to work with him since they dated 5 years. Jackie stated that it was over, in the past and they both had moved on. When she found out that he was going to be in the novela, she was a little worried, but knew what a professional he was and that they could work together.
Valentino came out next dressed in black. He complimented Jackie and Jaime. He said that Jaime was a perfectionist and great to work for. Valentino confessed that where Jaime was a perfectionist, he was "all over the place". Then before the commercial break Christina asked if Jackie and Valentino were going to get back together again because, Christina felt that there was still a connection. I have to add, that when Valentino first came out and sat down jackie moved closer to him on the couch. That is all I saw. I hope this is ok.

They all spoke a lot about Jackie's family. Her dad and his football coaching of the Chivas and his sportscasts; her lovely mom who was in the audience; and her siblings who are equally beautiful. Apparently, the novela was shot near where her family lives and they were very welcoming to the cast and treated them very well. Jaime gave a big shout out to them.
Jackie's dad came out and sat on the couch after giving Valentino a big hug, a big hug and kiss for his little girl and Cristina and handshakes to Jaime and to the actor who played Zamora (I missed when he first came out). "Zamora", in tight jeans, sang an upbeat song that had everyone up dancing.
And there was lots of teasing Jackie about her current novela with William Levy. (The pictures from the novela of Jackie and William looked pretty good. They are both gorgeous.) The boys seemed pretty jealous of pretty boy Levy. Said they couldn't compete and called him the Brad Pitt of Latin America. All joking, but you know they think it's true. :)
All in all, it looks like they had a lot of fun on Tontas, and despite Jackie and Valentino's history, they seemed to handle it very well. Not many people could work with an ex so closely, having to kiss them and be immersed in romantic themes, and be able to laugh about it.

I'm looking forward to part 2.
Somewhere inside that strange looking man was Dr.Plastico I'm sure. He still has a beautiful smile!

If you understood that much on the Cristina show, you SHOULD be a recapper. Your Spanish comprehension is very good.
Remember, most of us, from time to time, will say "I missed that" or "can someone help me with that". Heck, I don't always understand what's said in English, much less Spanish.
So come out of the shadows and let us know who you are. And comment often. Clearly your Spanish is quite good.
Cristina started with Jaime's projects, and Jacque broke in, what about Tontas? C. said, "We'll get to that."
Later C. focused on Jacque, and Jaime kept breaking in with his tontarias. C. kept redirecting attention back to Jacque.
Then the conversation shifted back to Jaime. So Jacque broke in, but Jaime gave her a rather pointed "Con permiso?" As if to say, "Do you mind? I was talking."

Also found it interesting when Jaime defended the fact that the part of Santiago was similar to Don Fernando, and that he felt as an actor he didn't have to play a different character each time, but could repeat. NJ sue
