Mañana es Para Siempre, Tuesday, July 21--Ep #110: You want the nookie? You can't handle the nookie!
Santiago mopes at the dining table. Tomasa tells him she's sorry, but she hasn't seen Aurora since they all ate together the other day. As a matter of fact, dear sweet Babs gave her the afternoon and evening off that day. Fernanda walks in and asks if they've heard anything about Aurora. Santiago says he's been all over town, but no one's seen her. Fernanda asks Tomasa for a pitcher of water and glasses. Fernanda tells Santiago that she'll get Damian straightened out and then they'll go look for Aurora some more. She tells him that Damian accused her of having an affair with Franco. Santiago tells her she can't let him keep thinking that. No point doing the time if you didn't get to do the crime. Fernanda admits to kisses and "moments" while Damian was missing and she swears it was nothing more. Santiago tells her she's going to have to give Damian some kind of proof that nothing happened. He supposes that the marriage between Erika and Franco is Fernanda's best proof.
Erika and Esteve talk about the upcoming wedding. Esteve says it's between the two of them, but he does think it was a, how you say, hasty decision. Erika says she loves Franco, he's the man of her dreams. Esteve attempts to burst her bubble by asking if Franco has talked about his feelings. That bubble, however, is titanium coated. Erika says she'll win his love. She thanks Esteve for his sincerity, reminds him to give Franco the invitation, and says she'll call later. Esteve bids her "adios, guapa."
Franco meets with Anibal and Camilo in Anibal's office. Franco tries to make some small talk about the community center, but really, aside from Fernanda no one else in the company gives a crap. Anibal makes the excuse that Damian's been "a little ill". Camilo makes a joke about Fernanda being the "sufrida y abnegada sor Fernanda" (long-suffering and self-sacrificing Sister Fer) who won't leave Damian's side.
Damian's Mommy is feeling up his bandages. Well, what else would you call it. Damian yells at her. Mommy says this must be God's way of getting Damian and Fernanda to spend more time together. Damian wittily says, "Oh, please. Don't tell me God hires assailants to rescue marriages in crisis!" But Mommy didn't know they were having problems and now assumes he was attacked because he was alone. Yeah, cause some of Fernanda's wardrobe choices would have scared away all but the most determined fake car thieves. Damian snaps back that he's not with Fernanda 24-7. Sometimes he needs a little alone time. "Or," Mommy suggests, "A little alone time with her stepmother!"
Said Evil Stepmother is on the horn to Obregon. She gripes him out for not having called Gonzalo yet. She calls him "pedazo de inepto" (piece of an incompetent--as if he's not even a whole incompetent, just a piece of one).
Damian tells Mommy that's stupid, but she counters that if it was he wouldn't be so upset. Then she nags him not to move so much or he'll open up his wound again. How many votes for Damian taking up kickboxing right now? Damian throws Mommy out and says he never wants to see her again IN HIS LIFE. Dude, that's harsh. In his anger, he throws something at her, but I can't see what it was. Drink! (If he ever throws the cell phone, it's "drink everything in sight.") Then he groans with the pain he caused himself and screams for Fernanda. Um, yeah, that's just the tone of voice that makes every woman come running.
Anibal tells Franco that he didn't call him there to discuss work, but something that could affect work. He says it's about Steve's niece.
Fernanda and Santiago run into Mommy on the stairs as Fernanda's carrying the tray with the water. She cries to Fer that something's wrong with her baby. He "saltó como una fiera" (in other words, he went wild, got furious; I don't know where "saltó" comes in, it's from saltar, meaning to jump; perhaps "he jumped at me like a wild thing"?) and forbid her to visit him again, that he doesn't want to see her ever again. Fer says it's just because he's going through a rough time. Mommy says, rightly, that doesn't give him the right to treat her like an old rag. Yeah, sweetie, but that's what you should have been saying to him rather than ducking and covering. Give him the old Bill Cosby "I brought you into this world and I can take you out" speech, you know.
Franco asks how long "this" has been going on. Camilo's dumbass response is "relatively not long". Franco takes issue with the "relatively." Anibal says it happened at the party. "Ah," says Franco, "the party," with a tone that sounds more like "Ah, that damn party that Esteve rammed down my throat and that's got Erika hanging on me like a parasitic vine, is that the party you mean?" Franco asks if they're going to be living together. Camilo backpedals. He says all he did was invite her out, but since she did it behind her uncle's back, Steve got mad, and, um, well, he didn't think it would be very "caballeroso" (gentlemanly) to just leave her there, and so, um, he told her she could stay at an apartment he has. Heh, notice how he doesn't phrase it as "stay at my apartment." Franco seems shocked, just shocked, and dismayed that Lovely accepted. He explains that for Steve, Lovely is more than a daughter. In other words, "y'all are so screwed."
Camilo repeats that nothing happened. Franco does that "deliberately misunderstanding things you said" thing and says "But you just told me that you're going to live together!" Camilo says he didn't, but Franco counters with "Then why did you invite her to your apartment?" Camilo tries to explain that it was only because Esteve had thrown her out. He appeals to Anibal for backup. Franco says what Camilo should have done was take her back to Las Animas. Franco says this is very serious to Steve. Anibal lamely says that Camilo didn't mean to offend Steve or harm Lovely. Except it comes out more like "Lovey." Franco tells Camilo that if he's intending to have a serious relationship with Lovely, then maybe he can intercede with Steve, but…. Anibal says that Camilo was just saying that Lovely is different from any other woman he's ever met. Franco agrees that she's an extraordinary young woman, so much so that the son of an Arab "jeque" (sheik) wanted to marry her, but what with recent developments…. Franco says he'll try to talk to Steve, but he's afraid they're all at grave risk. Gonzalo walks into their meeting and tearfully announces that Obregon just called him. Franco flexes his jaw. Hey, Fernando, if you need someone to help you loosen those jaw muscles up after this role, call me. I'm not a professional masseuse or anything, I'm just saying. Call me.
At the new Evil Overlord HQ Lili sleeps. Artemio walks into the room and stands at the foot of the bed. He mutters to himself "What am I going to do with you, Liliana Elizalde?"
Gonzalo tells the boys that it's the second time Obregon has called his cell phone. The first time he just said it was him and then hung up. This time he demanded $3M within 24 hours. Gonzalo says he told him that he wouldn't pay unless Obregon sends him a picture of Lili holding today's paper.
Obregon is apparently reporting this to Evil Barbie herself because she gripes that "el vejete de mi marido" (my old fart of a husband) demanded proof of life before handing over the money. Obregon asks what they're going to do, since Lili is lost. Santiago walks into the library, surprising Barbie, who fakes like she's talking to the old fart, saying "Yes, dear, see you later." Santiago apologizes for interrupting her. Barbie asks him if he's heard anything about Aurora and whether he's questioned the servants. Santiago says no one's seen her as Evil Barbie fights to hide her malicious grin. Barbie says that she did see Aurora, but she wasn't sure if she should tell him--she was waiting for Aurora to call and tell him herself. Santiago demands to know. Barbie begs him not to put her in this position, but to wait and be calm. Santiago, surprisingly for both of us, grabs Barbie by the wrists and snarls "calm down? Don't you realize I'm going crazy with worry?" Barbie says Aurora took her stuff because she's not coming back, she's out of his life, she abandoned him. Barbie suggests he stop looking for her because he's definitely not going to see her again. I want to imagine that she looks a little more cautious and is avoiding even the appearance of gloating.
Fernanda walks into her room to find Damian out of bed, struggling his way across the floor and grabbing at the top of the armoire to keep from falling over. She walks him back to bed. She asks him what's going on, his Mom was crying. Damian snaps that he wants nothing to do with her or anyone else, JUST YOU! Oh, just dope him up already and put him out of my misery. Fernanda tells him he's supposed to be resting, but Damian says he can't rest when he knows he's losing her. Fer asks who told him that. Damian says he didn't need to be told, he got shot in the leg, not the head. Fer says that a lot of stuff has happened since their wedding day that's upset her, but that doesn't mean she doesn't love him. He asks why, if she loves him, they haven't had their wedding night. Oh, nice. That's just a regurgitated version of "if you really loved me you'd sleep with me." What are we, back in high school? Fer avoids the question and says it's not what he thinks as she fights to free herself from his grasp and get out of reach. Damian demands to know what it is, then. As Fer tries to tell him to calm down, he leaps back out of bed to grab at her and manages to pull her down on the bed. He says he's hurt, but his desire and "love" for her are still there. He demands that she promise to have sex with him that night. She doesn't answer and tries to get away from him again.
Anibal wonders where they're going to get $3M. Gonzalo suggests selling off some land or asking for a loan, but he's not going to risk his daughter's life. Franco tells him not to worry about the money--he'll ask Steve. Gonzalo is moved by the solidarity. Franco reiterates his support, but asks to be kept in the loop about everything that's happening.
Damian has now moved on to "demuestrame que me amas" (show me you love me) and prove I'm the only man in your life. He says the wound won't stop him. He swears if she just sleeps with him, he'll stop thinking she's cheating on him. Fernanda says yes. Uh oh, so how's she going to get out of this now? I don't think Evil Barbie is going to share her special beddie-bye drops.
Franco starts to leave Grupo Lactos, but Camilo stops him to say thanks. Franco says as partners they have an obligation to help out, so no need for thanks. Franco tries to get in the elevator, but Camilo pulls him back, not done talking yet. Camilo says there was something else he wanted to talk about. He wanted to remind Franco that he also said he'd help about Lovely. Franco "Oh, I thought you were worried about what's really important--your sister." Camilo, much like Damian, is begging for an answer as to whether Franco is still going to try to help with the not-so-lovely Lovely situation. Camilo, however, is being a tad bit more subtle. Franco gives a non-commital "we'll see," and then gets in the elevator. He kind of stops and looks back like "are you going to let me go this time?"
Santiago begs Barbara to tell him where Aurora is. Barbie says she didn't want to hurt him. No, nothing bad happened to her. She thinks it's better he doesn't know. Time heals all wounds and all that. Santiago yells at her again to tell him and grabs her by the wrist. Barbie says she doesn't know where Aurora is, but she didn't leave the hacienda alone. Santiago looks shocked. Oh, please, man, that could mean anything. And since when do you trust Evil Barbie to tell the truth? Wait, sorry, ok, beanie re-adjusted.
Aurora is on a bus, looking forlorn as always. She remembers Camilo giving her the knock-out drugs. She remembers seeing the bedroom look fuzzy and Camilo undressing her. Brilliant as ever, she thought bubbles "Camilo tricked me! He gave me those drops so he could take advantage of me!"
Barbie tells Santiago it seemed like Aurora knew the guy she left with. She begs him not to make her give details--"You know what I'm talking about. It looked like they were more than friends." Santiago says she's full of it and never wanted Aurora around. He demands to know what she did to her.
Franco, via cell phone to Casa Lili, tells Martina to go to her dad's house since it doesn't look like Lili's coming back. Martina, feeling sorry for herself, says she was stupid and didn't know how to look after Lili. Franco says no one is blaming her and it looks like Obregon has her. All they can do now is wait. He says it's better for her to be with her dad and as soon as they know something, he'll call her.
Santiago demands that Barbie tell him the truth. He says Aurora had a cold and was going to bed early, so how could she have run off with a man. Barbie says it was a mistake to tell him "the truth". Santiago says he'd have to see it with his own eyes before he doubts Aurora's love. Barbie says maybe now that he knows the truth it will be easier for him to forget her. Santiago says he'll never forget her. "NEVER!" he screams, banging on the door for emphasis. Once he leaves, Barbie's cell phone starts ringing. She does look a little shook up. It's Rosenda, our friendly Primary Care Bruja calling to remind Barbie about her checkup today, er, their meeting. Barbie says she's on her way and it had better be worth it. Well, if she can get the information out before being hushed in some way, it sure will be! Barbie grabs her purse and heads out the door.
Jacinto brings Esteve's suspicions to Margarita who agrees that Gardenia is capable of "all that and more." She wants to resolve it by having a talk with Gardenia (oh, cause that's worked out so well in the past). Jacinto disagrees because Gardenia is "arrebatada" (captivated by) and she could "recalar feo" (not sure on the literal, but "things could get ugly") to/with Eduardo. Margarita says it's time for Gardenia to rip Eddie out of her head and heart.
Gardenia is busy spraying a picture of Eddie with the come-hither spray she got yesterday. She explains to San Juditas (St. Jude, patron saint of lost causes) that she's not firing him or anything, but the "yerbero" (or "hierbero"--herbalist, literally, though there are other terms that might fit, depending on the limits of his job description) told her she had to pray to a particular angel to help the two of them out. She lights a red candle labeled "Salomon Dominador" (yep, that's about what it sounds like--it's for gaining control of a person or situation, "dominating" them--also look for Rey Salomon Dominador powders, soaps, and incenses at fine yerberias everywhere--Come Hither spray sold separately) and puts the Photo Shopped picture of young Eddie in front of a building at Haaavard in front of it. She prays the prayer on the back of the Arcangel Chamuel card (Arcangel Chamuel, for those times when you feel lacking in love and respect…uh, oh, but he's also supposed to help to eliminate bitter feelings!), adding that she wants Eddie all to herself and she's willing to offer the Arcangel her candle in exchange. If he actually pulls it off, I think he got a raw deal.
Fer escapes from Damian to deal with her lovesick brother. Damian whines from inside the bedroom not to close the door. Santi is on a rampage and starts to go in and give Damian what for when Damian shouts "Who are you with, Fernanda?" Fer just holds Santi back and asks what's up. Santi says Aurora is gone, she left with someone else. Fer can't believe it and asks how he knows. Damian yells for her, but she ignores him to tell Santi not to trust Evil Barbie--or she starts to, but Damian keeps shouting for her. Fer says not to believe Barbie. She reminds him that he's been the only family member who has mistrusted her from the beginning and she assures him that all Barbie does is lie. Which is patently untrue--she also steals, cheats, maims, kicks old guys down hills, and I bet she's even eaten a baby or two. Santi says he accused Barbie of being responsible for Aurora leaving and says she waited to tell him because she didn't want him to suffer. Fer makes a "yeah, right" face. Damian, from inside the room, yells "Is there anyone in this house who's coming to help me?" And right now, that screaming is so grating that I wish I could help him right out the window. Fer screams right back "Ya voy!" (I'm coming). She apologizes to Santi, for yelling, I assume. She asks how she can help Santi. Santi says he's going to re-question Barbie till he gets the truth out of her.
Barbie stops for a red light and says to herself that her plan with Obregon is going to tank if Artemio Bravo doesn't find Lili.
Margarita tells Jacinto that she understands it all now. Gardenia has been in love with Eddie for so long that any other woman is going to have to get past her first. Come on, ladies, there are enough of us, I think we can take her! Margie says there's no way Gardenia's going to let some other woman date Eddie, much less marry him! She'd rather he keep pining after his impossible love than marry Erika. Jacinto doesn't understand why she would leave Fernanda's letters on Eddie's bed, then, and the anonymous letter. Margie explains that Gardenia knows there's no way for Eduardo to end up with Fer (there is if I push Damian out the window). Jacinto wonders if Fer's marriage will last. Margie says she doesn't know, but Eddie's lost her forever. Even if she gets rid of Damian and falls for Franco, once she finds out everything Eddie's done she'll hate him forever. Well, I don't know. If he spends enough time working out and taking showers she might forgive him.
Franco calls Esteve to tell him he's got the dollars. He asks Steve to tell Jacinto to get to the hacienda and tell Fer to meet him at Las Animas. He then gleefully fills Steve in on the meeting with Anibal and Camilo.
Camilo reports to Lovely that it's all under control. "Really Cami?" Oh, ick. Something about the way she said that makes me want a shower. Mr. 5ft thinks Camilo looks like a monkey. Lovely says this is really serious. She asks if she can go back home now. He says it will all be straightened out soon. She pushes him away rather than kiss him and says that she kind of wants to but she doesn't want to. He doesn't understand. She says she feels "things" with him. So what's the problem? Oh, it's not a problem, just that she promised herself she'll not bed him till she weds him. That's right, dude, you're not getting this cow's milk for free.
Lili wakes up at EOHQ. She looks around, confused and drugged, and goes over to where Artemio has thoughtfully set up a chessboard. She looks out the window…ooh, hey, she even gets a flat screen TV. She finally ends up looking at herself in the mirror and something about it does not make her happy.
Jacinto gives Fer Franco's message. Tomasa comes barreling down the stairs to report that Damian is calling her. Really? I didn't hear anything. Has he lost his voice finally? Fernanda asks Jacinto what it's about and he says he thinks it's about Lili.
Lili now wanders out of her room and into the hallway. She walks into a room with a bar, then into Artemio's office. Artemio and the guy who kidnapped Lili both walk in, but Bravo tells the other guy to wait outside. Lili is looking out the window as he says "Liliana Elizalde." He approaches, but she walks away from him to cower against the wall. He says she looks a lot like her mother. She keeps moving away from him as he moves closer, so he goes behind his desk and pulls out an envelope filled with pictures. He takes out one of her mother and says "I'm right. You have Monserrat's eyes." before putting the picture back on the desk. "I imagine you have some questions for me, like 'What am I doing here? Who are you?'" We'll have to tune in tomorrow to see if those really are her questions as opposed to "Where's Ciro?" or "Do you have any ice cream?"
Also tomorrow, barring creative promo editing, Barbie finds out about her offspring and Damian keeps being a nuisance.

Tomorrow sounds like it's going to be a fun episode.
The plot thickens...Could AB be Lili's dad? Hmmmmm.....
Lovely's whining grates on my nerves. Now when I look at Cadmil-ho I see a cat's butt and I can't get it out of my head.
I thought Santi for sure was going to give Babs the smack-down. I was so disappointed.
Dam's screaming drove me nuts, too, but in a way, that whole scenario of him yelling for Fernanda was sort or comic. Also, he was sooo nasty to his mother that he deserves an unkind fate at the El Fin.
Why(???) does Artemio B have photos of Montserrat, who has been dead for 15 years, in his desk? ? ? This inquiring mind wants to know. He knew Montse's eyes well enough to comment about Lili's.
*Maybe this is The Revenge; Gonzo stole Montse from Artemio!
*Montse might have dumped AB because he was a bastard.
*Could AB be the father of one of Montse's kids? (which one is the oldest-Fer or Anibal?)
It would all fall in line with telenovela rules.
Again, muchísimas gracias.
Doris, my impression is that Fer is definitely not the oldest of the Elizalde children. I think perhaps it's Anibal. Remember how much younger Fer is than Lili. Hmmm...could Lili be the hija de Artemio? As you say, he definitely seems to be rather, um, familiar with Monserrat's eyes.
I worry about Lili's being with Artemio not so much for her safety as for what she might say about Eduardo.
JeffMN
That was a hilarious, recap, Kat. You've got a gift.
Well, Artemio shot to pieces my theory about Lil actually being Soledad's daughter. Oh well, been wrong before.
I'm loving Gardenia's conjurations, and as timid as she is, Margarita has the firmest grasp and understanding of the situation they are in. Frankie might do well to seek her counsel.

As to Montserrat - from what we saw of her, she was a real b***h. So, if Artemio was in love with her, Gonzo did him a favor by taking her out of his hair.
Now when DimWatt said he could sell some land I thought 'oh-yeah' and Fr/Ed be the buyer yes-yes-yes. But then Harvard Man - alone without his head (eSteve) pipes up with don't do that. WHAT! WAIT a minUTE! Your momma raised a fool? Meek inheriting and all that son!!!
I'm mad at him....can you tell.
Why, oh why is DAmian so nasty to his mother. He hates her, and I don't think that's ever been explained. And what was her reference to spending time with Babs all about, how would she know about any dalliances?
Babs was truly shaken up by Santi, no mood for gloating after he left. I would not want that big, lanky, strapping fella shaking me and thretening, either. I'm so eager for bruja to echar los frijoles about Abora being her daughter, make the bitch question her whole existance! (As well as all the evil she's done).
I'm thinking now that Gonzo usurped Arty with Monte, but not before Arty's swim team crossed the finish line and created Any?balls. I agrre with someone that Anyballs is not bad, but he sure needs to learn some people skills, especially with those close to him. His misguided hatered of Lili for his belief that she killed Monte has somewhat caused him to be the way that he is, and the revelation of her innocence will cause his redemption.
This is how I see the birth order- Any, Cad, Lili, Fer, Santi. For what it's worth...
My impression of the birth order is Ani, Lili, Cad, Fer, Santi. Santi looked younger than Fer at her first communion, and I thought Lili looked older than Cad.
Connie, I thik it was an invitation for an engagement dinner at her folks. Not sure about decorations on the envelope.
Perhaps, maybe, he survived the fall but got a bump on the head that caused slight memory loss, so that he didn't remember how he got there or anything about Babs, or seeing Fer and Fr/Ed, and he thinks that he just fell. Yeah, that's farfetched, but it would be great to see the look on Babs's face if he were to show up one day asking some mundane question as if nothing had happened.
She comes off as sorta pathetic and clueless, but she's not a total idiot!
As for all of Damian's yelling and childish behavior and accusations, I think Fernanda should just ignore him the more he acts that way. Right now she's abandoning him due to several emergencies, but she needs to start ignoring him WITHOUT any excuses!
I thought the thing he threw was a small pillow (a throw pillow, if you will), but I didn't really see, so that was just a guess.
Now I'm really confused about how Artemio's abduction of Lili fits into Babs' plan for extorting the $3 mil. Does Babs even know Artemio was going to do that? Did I miss something (frequently happens)? Can anyone clear this up for me? Thx. hgr
The kidnap story she made up for Gonzo was a very stupid gamble on her part; if Gonzo had paid the ransom before Lili was found, they'd have to say that the kidnappers killed Lili. That could get awkward if Lili happened to show up later completely cured and unwilling to blame Obregon.
I don't know how happy Bravo is going to be when Babs tells him why she needs a picture of Lili holding today's Daily Bugle.
I can't wait to see Barbie's face when she learns Aurora is her child. As DDave said, it will rock her world and make her question her existence and wickedness. The important thing it could do is cause Barb to start working against Artemio. If that happens hopefully she'll try to redeem herself and save Lil.
hgr - Artemio knew Lil was missing b/c Barb told him. His having Lil now works for Barb b/c then she could give Gonzo proof of life.
Never thought I would like purple walls, but the ones in Artemio's house with the dark furniture were nice.
Looks like the link of hate is Monserrat although I can't imagine why. I would think it would be "take her, she's mine".
At the wedding Ursula was suspicious of her bebe & Babs.
The age order is
Anibal, he was in college in the beginning
Camilo o Liliana, not sure
Fernanda
Santiago
I agree that Anibal is going to turn out to be a good guy. We now know why he doesn't want children & I believe he & Pris will live happily ever after, once the truth comes out.
Loved Fernanda yelling "ÿa voy" to Damian.
Erika's invitation is to invite Fr/Ed to dinner with her parents.
Tks heaps 5Ft, great recap.
Abora sure is a genius to finally figure out Camilo tricked her.
It sure is convenient that Fr/Ed has so much money. Need another $3 million? No problem. Does he supposedly have all the cash in that little briefcase?
I wonder is Lucero had any bruises after the scene with Santiago?
Gracias for all the positive comments.`
Do all business men in Mexico quote prices in US dollars while they are among themselves, tres millones de DOLARES? I would think that they would use pesos.
Did anyone else notice Camillo’s shiny black pants while at the GL meeting with Anibal and Franco? They were something. I liked the way when Franco asked if there was a problem with Camillo and Anibal said, UNFORTUNATELY NO, it is Loafly.
I agree with several who are essentially saying that Anibal will be one of the good guys al fin. He is the only one who is attending to the details of the big GL acquisition by US conglomerate Poweer Meelk. If he didn’t run the company, no one would. Gonzo is worried about Lili, Camillo worries only about himself and his conquests, Damian is recuperating and trying to “seal the deal” with Fer, Fer is chasing Franco, and Franco is chasing Fer and both of them are worried about Lili.
Did Lili kinda recognize Gonzo? I thought maybe she did at least at first.

Santiago is a fearful sight when enraged. Barbie did all that and more. I shudder to think what he will do when he finds out that Barbie was behind the Cad seduction and Aurora's subsequent departure.
Juanita, good point about Lili possibly giving Fr/Ed's identity away to AB. Fervantly hoping that doesn't happen.
dorado dave, I agree with you that Babs is unredeemable but as others have questioned, am wondering if she really did kill her parents. I've thought Artie may have done the deed and somehow brainwashed Barbie into thinking she did it. I'm probably wrong.
Don't think Ani is destined for hell, but rather a nice, long stay in purgatory. He's mean spirited, selfish and without an ounce of kindness. I'm indifferent - unless something major develops, I could care less what happens to him.
Missing Pris and especially Vladi.
Diana in MA
I think the Pris character is underutilized in this TN. I really like her and understood her desire for a baby. I thought at first that the TN gods would have Pris and Vladi together al fin because of the pregnancy, but they aren't even giving us a slight opening for that scenario. The outcome of the Anibal/Pris/Vlad story line is the murkiest of all for me. Others seem more predictable. I'll guess I'll just have to wait.
Sandy in TN
To answer Sandy's question about pesos, it seems that USA dollars are the currency of choice when discussing business, at least for large corporations.
I also noticed that when FrEd bought the birth certificate from Ciro's widow, he offered her 100,000 dollars rather than an equivalent amount in pesos. (He bribed Obregon with pesos.) Perhaps "dollars" has a certain snob appeal (for the likes of Mrs. Palafox) that "pesos" does not.
What's Damian's endgame for Vlad, anyway? If he doesn't have something planned, Pris is going to have to figure out how to deal with him before the baby shows up.
She probably should have told Ani the truth about her pregnancy right from the beginning. He probably would have been relieved.
I just remembered something. Remember how, towards the beginning, there was a lot of speculation (here on Caray) that Ani had had a vasectomy and was just playing dumb when Pris told him that he had great swimmers? In light of the fact that he thinks he has murderer's DNA, the vasectomy theory is still a good one. Hmm. Though you'd think he'd be at least a little curious as to how Pris got knocked up, and he's shown no interest so far.
Our dear Aurora is getting wiser, maybe on a year of two she'll wake up having common sense.
For those asking about the use of dollars instead of pesos, I think they are used because the peso is continually devaluating, a year ago a dollar was equal to 11 or 12 pesos, and now is almost 14, so for an investor, getting their money on dollars is safer because it means that it's much more stable for use in international deals, and at the same time it increases it's value if you are planning on using it in national investments, I don't know if that was the right way to describe it, but I hope I could give you at least the right idea.
Jarocha.
In the Flor/Vladi senario, does she know that HE falsely accused her? That is a lot to forgive, although he didn't want to do it, he was pressured by Dam. In any of the outcomes, you have to adjust for the baby, as you just said, and that makes it hard to figure out.
Sandy in TN
Can't stop looking at Cam's lips...cat butt for sure!
I would think Dam would be on some strong pain killers and in Lala land. Fer should double his dose to shut him up!
I am really confused on one subject..If mean Barbara sent Ed away when he was little, and he knows what a mean witch she is, Why is he out to destroy the REST of the family? the kids were all too young to be at fault. also why does he keep giving them the magic number of 3 million, he keeps bailing them out,Why? without him they would be selling their cows on ebay by now!
Elle, selling their cows on ebay, what a great idea.
rsk
Babs wants to destroy the whole family because Artemio said so. Babs wants to get all the dinero she can in the process.
Elle...I'm with you, up the meds and order restraints, this is the wildest patient ever. I thought when Dam was hanging on the pretty armoire, he was going to pull it over and destroy it!

Yes, if my mom knew that someone was trying to harm me, I would expect her to tell me who, what, why and when....UNLESS, she has something to hide BIGTIME!

Gardenia is just sinking into a new low with her ridiculous obsession with Franco. Thoug i still adore her. She just got suckered by the Cheech and Chong look alike.
I'm of the belief that Fernanda is the youngest in the family. Until proven otherwise. BTW we also have discussed this birth order scenario long ago.
Tongight should be a gem because it seems that all will be revealed to Barbara Grecco about Aurora's true parentage with relation to Rebecca Sanchez. All to Babs' horror.
OFF TOPIC: While things have seems to come to a standstill here according to many viewers, the action is picking up and climaxing at Betty La fea. Trully well written and there are no real villains here, a whole lot of gray area. Everyone has something good and something bad...
That board meeting was full of tension and drama.

Maybe Montse turned into a bitch after the wedding, when she realized Gonzo was a true DimWit. "I married the wrong guy, my life is a disaster, I hate everyone and have terminal PMS."
Sandy in TN – I thought I saw a flicker of recognition when Lil saw Artemio. Surely she’ll note the similarity in appearance to Gonzo. She is smart when she's lucid.
Carlos – I doubt Lil would recognize the voice --- it’s been 15 years of brain-frying drugs --- but she might remember the name ‘Artemio Bravo.’

I know Dam's mother is a little annoying, but he was purely evil back to her. For shame! Loved Ursula's zinger to him about spending time with the stepmother.
Erika's titanium-coated bubble. Je je.
The Franco/Anibal/Cadmilho meeting about the Loafly "problemo" gave me a big smiley face. As did Fer hollering back "ya voy" with real feeling.
I'd love to see Fr/Ed and Fer with secure access to the weekend place in the country. They need a place to meet where Denia's not around the corner and Erika's not at the door every 10 minutes.

Tonight should be good! I just hope I can stay awake - I'm exhausted!
