MEPS, Monday Aug 31: FAKE BLISS. Damian of the unbuttoned shirt gets 2 assignments. Also, Errika expects 1,200 guests at the wedding.

I have to say again, young Fer and young Eduardo were the cutest thing ever. I wish there'd been more of them, and I hope to see them in future shows...
  • Previouslies: Barb is planning to get Aurora, hide her away, and then finish off Artemio.

Daffy Duddy grabs Fer and shakes her shouting, "Barbara gave everything, her youth, she gave her all for our family, she took care of you! You're just proving I'm doing right by protecting her interests!"

Fer almost has an infarct from holding back all the secrets she knows. Duddy has a little heart problem but doesn't die. I sure hope he lives to see who Barb really is.

Fer quits her job at Lactos.

Esteve gets Fr/Ed a fake birth certificate. Fr/Ed rehashes his conversation with Barb: to prove he's her ally, he must convince Fer to convince Duddy to sign over all that money to Barb immediatemente. And it's torture to be around Fer, to smell her aroma, yadda yadda.

  • Fer tells gloomy Gus, formerly known as Santi, via telephone, how great Fr/Ed is and she'd marry him in a heartbeat if he'd quit this plan to marry Errika, and how she trusts him as if she'd known him forever, yadda yadda. Santi is supportive, then hesitantly asks if she's heard anything about Aurora? No, but she's at the nunnery, maybe she wants to be a nun? "Maybe."

  • Now while Esteve and Fr/Ed are chatting, Errika bursts in, uninvited and without knocking, in a very hyper state of giggling and spouting off about thousands of flowers in the church for the wedding, and she's being interviewed as a vunder-bride by Glamour Magazine, etc...

... and she doesn't notice Fr/Ed has a long face like somebody just ran over his favorite pet turtle. She gets more manic, blabbing about mariachis dressed in white and gold, and some tenor singing Ave Maria. "Tenor?" Fr/Ed repeats weakly, I guess to prove he's listening.

"Err, I was thinking of something small and intimate..." "Hah, that's a laugh, the guest list is 1,200, and speaking of which, where's your list?" "I dunno: Esteve, Margarita, Jacinto, maybe ten." "Family? Friends from the U.S.?" "Uh, no, they can't come." She asks for the birth certificate, she snatches it with a huge grin. Don't you love the way they shoot her with big, big vases in the foreground?

Then she asks for one more paper: a baptismal certificate. "Surely you didn't forget?" "Uh, when my parents died everything was lost." She sez no matter, she knows a great priest, he'll help: it's father Bosco!

Fr/Ed remembers Bosco begging him: "Let this be the last time we ever see each other." Oh well, no sacred promise to a priest can stand before Errika's inexorable demands. Fr/Ed says ok. "Then we'll go see Father Bosco tomorrow."

Esteve goes out to get more coffee. Err gets close to Fr/Ed and says, "I swear you'll fall in love with me - and I'll be the most passionate wife ever. Do you like me?" "Yeah, I guess so." She kisses his reluctant closed lips. He thinks of England. She leaves. Esteve: "Just get married, my friend, move far away with Err, and try to forget this nightmare."

Fr/Ed sez he can't - he has to take care of Fer and Lili. "Do you really think you can free Lili?"

Fr/Ed says Barb has been different lately, tense. It's odd that she's in such a tearing hurry for the money when she's been patient so many years. He thinks she has a new plan, a new agenda, not about the money, not related to Artemio...

  • Damian hasn't buttoned his shirt for weeks. I guess since he's unemployed he can dress like a gigolo if he wants. He meets Anibal in a parking lot, they trade insults, Anibal takes him off to some wall somewhere saying: "In future if you have to contact me, we'll meet here."

To get straight to it, Anibal wants Damian to find a "specialist" to knock off Vladimir, who endangers Anibal's future cash - after all, mini-Vlad will inherit a big wad of Duddy's cash but only if he's an Elizalde.

Damian, think! After Vlad is gone, who would be next, I wonder?

Oh well, Dam accepts the future wad of cash (for eliminating Vlad) as surely as my donkey grabs a banana peel I dangle in front of his nose. Anibal: "Take care of this matter. I know nothing about it."

  • Duddy tells Barb about his unpleasant meeting with Fer. As usual he says: "I didn't want to destroy the family this way, but I didn't want you out on the street."

  • Ripoff! That whole by-the-ocean preview, it was just a dream! Fer dreams of being in Fr/Ed's arms by the water. For about fifteen minutes - then cut to commercial.

It was odd seeing them trying to look happy and carefree when they've been so tense and irritable through the whole run of the novela so far.

  • Fr/Ed tells Martina she should have her Doctor Boyfriend look at her dad - Fr/Ed thinks Silvestre needs a heart operation and is happy to pay for it, "I owe him so much." Oops, update: It was lazy of me not to go back and watch this part again when I couldn't read my scribbled notes. Novelera corrected me: it was an opthalmologist and cataract operation Silvestre needs. Thanks, Novelera.

Martina and Loafly are about to go shopping for the big engagement party.

  • Barb meets Damian at his hotel. He doesn't think it's a very nice hotel. She waves money at him and gives him his marching orders: snatch Aurora from the nunnery, don't touch a hair on her head or say one wrong word, take her to the Elizalde country place.

"Then?" "Then, promise I'll never see you again," she says, "I used you, but I don't need you now. For the first time, I have a reason to live."

  • Priscila cancels her escape to Toronto and throws her torn-up ticket in the trash, so of course we know Anibal will come along and find it and he does. They have a cold little exchange whereupon it's clear to each of them that the only prudent, wealth-increasing course is to stay together. Pris asks, "but what about Vladimir?" "Don't ask me about that again! Convince yourself he never existed ..."

  • Dam meets with his cousin Jacobo; they review the Aurora-snatching plan. Then Damian asks if Jacobo knows any "specialists" - that would be, I wager, cement overcoat specialists.

  • Fer calls Fr/Ed and asks him if they can meet at an obscure restaurant - she needs to talk about having quit her job at Lactos.

They meet. He tells her he thinks Barb has some new scheme of her own and that for some reason he, Fr/Ed, is indispensable in its execution. He reveals: "There's no limit to her evil - now, my job is to convince you to get Duddy to give over all the loot right this minute!"

Tomorrow: in that out-of-the-way little restaurant where Fer and Fr/Ed are having their cozy tete-a-tete, three gossipy friends of Errikas see them - and take cellphone pictures. Oh frabjous day!

Carlota all the way viewers of Meps watch a good Novela like En Nombre del Amor instead on this borefest just an opinion bye!!!

Oh, thanks, Melinama, for your wit and erudition in this great recap. Nearly fell off my chair when you said that Fr/Ed (when Erica was kissing him)"thought about England." Haven't heard that phrase for many years.

Why do all the beautiful love scenes between Fr/Ed and Fer have to be daydreams?? Waiting, waiting, waiting for the real deal.

Hope the cell phone pic Erica sees in the avances turns out to be the first step to getting her defused in her pursuit of this sham wedding. That bouncing, flouncing, interrupting giggler is getting to me.

Melinama, what a fabulous recap! I burst out laughing at "He thinks of England"! Also enjoyed the cement overcoat specialist and "Oh frabious day." And yes, I too felt that the idyllic scene with Fer and Fr/Ed on the yacht and the beach was a ripoff, a sop to keep us happy. Let's have THE REAL THING!

Thanks for the recap Melinama!

While Erica was jabbering away, Fr/Ed looked like he'd eaten some really bad fish...

I loved the line about Dam dressing like a gigolo. All his shirts must only have 2 buttons. I'll bet he removes the rest. Anyballs must be taking grooming hints from Dam now, the way he gave himself a b-i-g spray of cologne.

The pattern on Evil Barbie's dress looked like barbed wire. Appropriate, no?

Excellent and very funny recap!

When Martina, Venus, Fr/Ed, Esteve and all were talking about Silvestre, Fr/Ed mentioned getting Silvestre to an opthamologist. He needs cataract surgery so he can resume his blacksmithing career.

By the way, I went to this funky general store kind of place where they have live music on Sundays. My friend bought me this calendar there because I laughed so much when I was leafing through it.

http://www.jackass.net/

Novelera, thanks for your correction (I've fixed it now) and also the link to the calendar! I may have to get one of these myself! Heh.

You rock, Melinama. Previous bloggers have noted all my favorite lines and observations so I'll just add "Hear! Hear!".

But thanks also for adding that you couldn't read your notes. Same thing happens to me. I get to the computer, look down at my scribbles and think WTF happened in that scene!? Between short-term memory loss and rushed handwriting, I have to use a lot of imagination.

If Damian is smart, he will forget about snagging Aurora or arranging a hit on Vlad, and he will take that money from Babs and run far, far away.

But he's too greedy to be smart, so I guess is the beginning of the end for him. Hopefully he ends up in jail rather than dead. (Then again, maybe he'd be better off dead than in jail?)

As for Erika, her squealing hurt my ears. I don't know how FrEd managed not to call off the wedding right then and there. I don't think I could have resisted the temptation to just blurt out the whole truth.

I believe that Erika is a loyal enough friend to Fernanda that she would step aside if she knew the truth about FrEd. However, with her friends taking pictures in the restaurant, she might see things very differently...

I have wondered whether Erika loves Franco or simply finds him to be a prize catch -- more revenge against Camilo. Her self-esteem was pretty low after Camilo's violence against her.

Thanks for the recap Melinama. I only got to see part of it because my son and I went to see Halloween II (if you are squeamish don't go see it.) He left this morning to go back to Afghanistan.

When Giggles (aka Erika) was telling Fr/Ed all the wedding plans I couldn't help but laugh at the faces he was making. What a hoot.

How many of you thought Anyballs was going to push Dam over the wall? They kept getting closer and closer...but wait...there is a reason we call him Anyballs! (becaus ehe doesn't have any.) Ha! :P

Gracias to Pasofino, Jardinera & Melinama for tres recappos & mucho witticisms & editorial asides. You guys rock!! I've given up any hope of decipering the rapid-fire dialogue & since this isn't an action packed story, if you can't get the dialogue, you're lost.

Fr/Ed thinks of England...ha! Giggles isn't picking up on Fr/Ed's complete revulsion of this whole b.s. wedding nonsense. He looked like he had a bad batch of fried clams...generally speaking, that's not a good reaction.

I know the beach scenes were just a dream but I enjoyed them any way. It's taking way too long to get our hottie couple together. How hot did Fr/Ed look in the linen pants & unbuttoned shirt? Dam looks like Leisure Suit Larry when he does it but Fr/Ed? OMG, he is
just
SOOOOOOOO
fine.
Nice chemistry with Nanda too. Finally...they SMILE!!!!!

AnyBalls has to find a way to put the "go" in his nads. What a loser. I still say Piggly Wiggly is that man's true calling.

Maggarita
:-P

Connie: hope all goes well for your son. God bless.
Maggarita

Melinama - thank you for an excellent and hysterical recap. "Think of England" was my absolute favorite. I haven't seen that in years. It describes FrEd's face perfectly. LOL

Poor Erika . . . she can't see the forest for the trees. She is sooo annoying, yet I like her because she is a very good person. If only I could put a sock in her mouth... I hope they find her a good husband before this is over.

I believe the fantasy beach scene with Fer & FrEd was filmed in Los Cabos, the only place in Mexico I have ever visited. I recognize the big rock with the hole in it.

Anybals wouldn't dare throw Dam over the wall. Who would do his dirty work & take out Vlad?

So what does BB think.... abscond with Aurora and live somewhere, just the two of them, happily forever after? I don't think so, Mommie Dearest. Rory will want to reunite with Santi, no doubt. But might they kill her off? Someone has to die before this is all over. I think it's a telenovela tradition.

Doris: yeah, right, Babs & Sniffles will live happily ever after as mother & daughter until said daughter finds out that Mommy Dearest gave NaranHo the knock-out drops so he could take advantage of his brother's comatose novia.
Oy.
Maggarita

You're right Doris. Who would do his dirty work indeed. Plus I don't think Ani would win that struggle. Dam could throw him like it was nothing.

Is Giggles really that clueless?

Welll, my thought is, if Anibal is now so ruthless, why not have Dam knock off Vladimir, then get somebody to knock off Dam? Because at that point he'd be the only one to know mini-Vlad is not fruit of the Elizalde vine PLUS that Anibal is hiring hitmen... and they're making tham thangs (hitmen) everyday, so why not? I'd say Dam better find some place VERY far away to abscond to. And not leave the ticket stub in the trashcan.

Maybe Ani can get a two-for-1 special!

Melinama, great recap, and especially the "think of England" bit. That's a new addition to my english vocab.

This episode is testament to when it rains , it pours. Dam goes for weeks w/o any work at all, then suddenly, out of nowhere- two job offers in the same day! Just wonder which and how these are going to go sideways on him. I know he's not a saint, but not eager to see him involved in a murder scheme- not exactly in his character as I've seen him.

Babs is joing Err in the delusional dept. Yeah, Abora is going to welcome her as her mommy, sometime just after the instant that the icicles have formed in hell.

was it just me, or was said Errorika especially irritating last night, even more shrill and shrieking than usual? (this poor actress, I feel for her).

I know I'm in the minority, but the fantasy scenes in/around Cabo went on way too long, despite showing some of Slivia's skin. I guess that they need to get their money's worth for the shoot. (hope that Jimena doesn't hit that area too hard).

Connie- hope that your son's deployment goes well, and that returns safely home.

dorado dave

Thanks DD, he's on the plane as we speak. Really sad to have to send him back to that Hellhole.

One of the things I love about CarayCaray is that not only are the recaps VERY helpful and great fun, but so too are the comments. I didn't trust my Spanish, so I was very glad when Novelera confirmed that Silvestre needed cataract surgery. And Connie, I too thought that AnyBalls was about to push Dam over the wall. Speaking of AnyBalls, I loved your comment, Maggarita, that AnyBalls has to find a way to put the "go" in his nads! I also agree with Dorado Dave that Babs is joining Err in the delusional department. Though I think Err still is the champ (or is that chump?).

I think the cell phone pics will finally bring Err to what's left of her senses.

It sounds like I missed a lot so I'd better go home and finish watching last night's episode. Can't wait for tonight.

Melinama, wonderful recap - thank you! So many great lines which already have been pointed out. The title was great.

I don't think Erika loves Franco, only the idea of him. She forgot she was playing a part and immersed herself too deeply. There's no easy way for her to find out about Fr and Fer but seeing the pictures will be devastating.

I didn't think Pris wanted Vlad dead, just out of her life. Am I wrong?

Dam is damned.

Diana in MA

Great recap Melinama.

I didn't know the expression 1"He thinks of England", I liked it.

I don't know if Erika is that clueless or if she just doesn't want to see how miserable her marriage to a man who doesn't love her would br.

I've had these two pictures for a few months now and I wanted to share but I had to wait untill this episode aired:

Jarocha.

Thanks Melinama, I always enjoy your recaps. I love your description of Santi as "gloomy Gus". I would advise anyone in a good mood to avoid him like the plague. He has a way of putting a damper even Nanda's wishful thinking. This engagement announcent party that Venus is up to is making her even more annoying than Erika. In fact, I've learned to laugh at Erika. She has become entertaining because she plays annoying so well. Even though we know that Gonzalo will eventually find out Babs true nature, it's hard to imagine that he'll ever believe the whole marriage was a farce. I loved that action packed angry scene between him and Fer. Oh, and I'm a die heart romantic. I loved the beach scenes much better than all the spy and detectives type side shows.

Erika already knows Franco (Eduardo) is in love with Fernanda and vice versa...that's why she keeps popping up wherever Franco and Fernanda are.

Barbie wants her a taste of Franco too, that's why she was so ticked to see FE together.

Great comments for a great recap. Maggarita...you crack me up.

Connie, prayers and good thoughts for your son and for everyone's son who is serving in that troubled and dangerous country.

I think I was in high school when I read that "I close my eyes and think of England" quote and have never forgotten it. I wondered...Jeez, is it going to be THAT awful!? Happy to find out eventually it was not!

Thank you Melinama.

As Erika updated the guys on wedding plans I laughed out loud at their expressions. Disbelief and then astonishment. Slap slap Franco, you never even imagined (?) how this would play out? (And he so deserves this for that spiteful proposal.)

All along I've been wondering how they were going to tell Erika. Silly me.

Thanks for that bright and breezy recap, Melinama. If Erika was paying attention, she would have seen Fr/Ed's face slowly turning to stone as she chattered on and on.
The daydream sailing scene was too cruel; faux romance when we yearn for the real thing.
I'm headed for vacation and can't count on watching episodes, so thanks to you stalwart recappers in advance.
La Paloma

I sure hope they aren't going to get Franco Reyes to sing Ave Maria at the ceremony. 8-)

Julie, I am a little confused. You said "I believe that Erika is a loyal enough friend to Fernanda that she would step aside if she knew the truth about FrEd. However, with her friends taking pictures in the restaurant, she might see things very differently...". I would then think, after finding out about the two, that she would back off?? Also many find Errika annoying, with her bubbliness. I find it annoying because they are going through with this, or at least it appears that way, because he isn't resisting. however, I have to admit, she does an excellent job as the upcoming blushing bride. Her happiness is displayed excellently. Ret

Ret, you are so right. She's not a Bridezilla that's for sure. (Has anyone ever watched that show?):(

Melinama, Thanks for the recap. "Lie back and think of England" was a phrase my mother would use occasionally. I hadn't heard it in years. It perfectly describes Fr/Ed's attiiude: I gave my word and I'm going to do my duty. Also, your comments on Dam's sartorial habits made me giggle.

I know we may be over involved in our made-up TV characters lives--but what could be worse? Having our made up characters making up their own made-up love scenes! We want the "real" thing!! Though I agree with whoever said it was nice to see Fer and Fr/Ed smile.

I sure didn't like the advances--if you can believe them. I don't want Erika finding out from a bunch of gossips--I want Fr/Ed to tell her and then Erika to give him up because Fer and Eduardo were always meant to be. However, Jardinera's husband more realistically pointed out that we would have to pry Fr/Ed away from Erika even if it was with her dying breath. As mentioned multiple times previously, there is such a lack of good men in this telenovela--there is no one she could end up with after Fr/Ed.

Lack of good men. Ditto for Gardenia. Ditto for Flor. Definitely ditto for Priscilla unless Anyballs comes to Jesus--that seems unlikely now that he's into a murder conspiracy. Marg was lucky to snag Jacinto early.

More on the way I think this should end: Babs dying in Aurora's arms. Aurora crying (of course) but forgiving her for everything because that is the kind of good person Aurora is. Aurora cries because she never knew her mother, her mother is now here and loves her (such as Babs can love) but they are immediately torn apart again by Bab's death. Babs had had something so awful happen to her in the past that though it doesn't justify what she has done, Aurora forgives her. Lots and lots of crying (Aurora says you ain't seen nothing yet). Then she lives happily ever after with Santi (lots of crying with smiles).

Looking forward to each and every remaining episode. Barbara

Diana: I think you are right. I don't think Pris ever wanted Vlad dead. She just wanted him to leave her alone - something which appears to be impossible.

Ret: "I would then think, after finding out about the two, that she would back off??"

The difference is that piece of information that Franco is Eduardo. If Franco would actually TELL Err that he's Eduardo and still carrying a torch for Fer, I think Err would back off. And then he could also stop having Steve forge documents for him.

However, without the knowledge that Franco is Eduardo, seeing a photo of her best friend and her fiance cozying up in a restaurant would be a completely different thing: two people she trusts are sneaking around behind her back, making a fool of her, keeping tons of secrets away from her.

Does that make more sense?

Melinama~You are still Queen of the Snarky Recap. ''He thinks of England''...too great. If anyone had that look on his face while I was kissing him, I'd tell him to go to.... England. Bridzilla is becoming increasingly annnnoooyyying. That Gidgety giggling and shrieking is like nails on a chalkboard. All the women in this show have some sort of raison d'etre, and Er's is to grab Fr'ed and have a gigantic wedding...then what ? It's too frustrating. I enjoyed Fer and Ed frolicking on the beach, on the yacht, back on the beach, back on the yacht.... It's interesting to see that Fer's fantasy includes lots of wardrobe changes...Ed in white and pastel shades : peach, mint green, pink. In my fantasy, I jet to Mexico to teach English to the cast of Alborada. When I get there, FC wants me to be his private dancer...I mean tutor...but we must leave immediately for his secluded vacation hacienda. I agree quickly but mention that my luggage has been lost. No problemo FC assures me, we'll stop at a trendy boutique in the quaint village near his hacienda...where he chooses a lovely wardrobe in pastel hues for me....and a bunch of size 5 sandals in many colors. This is a combo fantasy : FC + shopping. Next time, I think I'll steal Fer's fantasy and we'll buy the wardrobe on the way to the yacht at the beach. I, too, thought someone was going to go over that wallllll...someone still might at a future meeting. Connie, I am keeping your son in my thoughts and prayers.

Margaritta, I howled at your comparison of "Leisure Suit Larry" to "... just so fine". And he is
just
so
fine!

Connie, me three, waited for the push over the wall. BUT! he did say that will be their meeting place. Hee,hee, hee.

Damion does NOT have record of succsses. So hiring his abogado cousin that flubbed his court trial (to reversed decision) does not bode well.

Susanlynn, I'm willing to postpone the shopping and just use his shirts. And if the sand is hot that day he can carry me, barefoot. Yep, I'm cheap.

Oh Barbara, you described so completely a touching scene for Adora and her mom that I vote we call it a done deal. And here's how: The editors have Santi in Italy read the bruja's letter predicting the future and sends air fare for Abora to come meet him. With some splicing and diceing we can remove the visuals of those scenes.

Fer and Fr/Ed really are meant for each other; they both have the tamest fantasies. As long as that scene went on, I was hoping for a little more heat. Oh, well.

Bonney, "With some splicing and diceing we can remove the visuals of those scenes." LOL!
Barbara

I was just watching Amor Real and I'm about ready for Fr/Ed and Nanda to do one of those scenes. Wow! Esteve is in this and he has a lovely singing voice.

I have a hard time feeling sorry for Erika because Fr/Ed told her he was in love with someone else, and she wanted to get back at Camilho, who could care less. She and her mom want to plan a party. Really she kisses a guy who looks like he might throw up and she doesn't even notice. I like her, I think she is nice and I want her story to turn out good, but I don't feel bad for her in the fake marriage mess.

I enjoyed the fantasy scenes. It's never a bad thing to show TBLMOE with his shirt blown open by the breeze. And I liked that they were having fun, laughing, chasing each other. There was enough heat for me, at least.

When they first started showing these scenes very briefly, I thought they were meant to be foreshadowing of how they'd spend their honeymoon. And that still may be the case.

But last night they showed Fer willing herself into a vacation brochure, so I guess the scenes are meant to be fantasy.

One thing that really bothers me is how Fr/Ed expects to pull off this "marriage". I mean - someday - Erica is going to find out he is NOT who he says he is. He can't go on forging documents forever. If Lilliana ever does get out, she may call him Eduardo, or Denia will say something just to get even (that's even more likely given that she doesn't like Erica).

I also agree that Pris doesn't want Vlad killed and that Dam should know better than to hire his beer-swilling cousin to nab Awah-wah. That will be just painful to watch. A botched kidnapping attempt and rivers of tears. But Evil Barbie's revenge on Dam should be good when things don't go as planned.

How soon before Santi comes back, 'cause you know he's coming back. Any guesses?

Thanks Melinama, I really needed you this time. I had the hardest time understanding the Vlad/Anibal conversation. Wow, Anibal has just been sitting around Grupo Lactos with no emotions to think of and then we see him going wild hiring DAMIAN, of all people, to be a hit man! I must say, it hurt when he called Pris's baby a bastardo.

This is the wackiest TN. Nothing really makes any sense. I think we ought to just splice and dice the whole program, not just the Santi/Aurora part and get to the end QUICKLY. Can you imagine if we attempted to give a rundown of the plot to a friend, they would think that we had lost our minds....that is, if we could remember all the twists and turns enough to give a rundown.

I'm sure I'm the only one here at Carary Caray that feels this way, but I'm really not liking the E/Fr character at all, he is stringing both Erica and Fernanda along. He just isn't cute to me anymore, not even on the beach in Cabo. No more chemistry for me!

Connie, your son has all our prayers with him in Afghanistan. Send him our thanks for the work he is doing.

Sandy in TN

I thought the brochures Fer was looking at was the honeymoon she and Dam were supposed to go on. She just injected who she wanted to go with.

Also, I thought Fr/Ed said something about never being able to go back to being Eduardo, so he would marry Erika and leave to live his life as Franco. Maybe that is why he is thinking she won't find out.

Anyone notice how often someone uses the phrase "Que quieres que (yo) haga?" . Maybe it's just because so many are being drawn in to someone else's scheme. It seems like it could find its place on the list of often-used phrases...

the thing about Erika's giggliness is I think she was just as giggly when she got her new hair cut and color at the beginning of this TN as she is about getting married to Fr/Ed. She's just not very discriminating!

I also felt cheated by the fake romance trip. I was hoping maybe Fr/Ed and Fernanda would have decided to take a secret tryst before he married Errika and went away forever. Now that would have been spicy!

Melinama, gee, I admire your work. What a great knee-slapping recap. Things are getting more and more interesting even as Vlad's future looks grimmer and grimmer. On the surface Anibal appears to be a bumbler, but he is sure looks resolute in his hatred these days.

Just a gentle critical observation, Damian looks more at home in pink than Eddie.

Carlos

Okay now. It was great to see Fernanda running her fingernails ohsolightly across Eduardo's manly chest, and all those closeups of his huge biceps were great...but yes, Dorado Dave, it did go on a bit too long.

And somehow, it's the restrained passion, the yearning, longing looks...the kisses too quickly interrupted, the backward glance that really sizzles up the screen.

Happy non-stop bliss is boring...at least for a spectator.

I commented earlier but had to add my 2cents after reading later comments. Sandy 3:11, you are definitely not a team of 1. I am also not a Ed/Franco fan in this novela. If Fer were not so darn likeable I'd almost wish that He would go ahead with his marriage to Erika. She's find out soon enough what he's made of and I'm sure that as a woman scorned she could make his life a living hell. It's not fair to place the total responsibility for figuring out what's going on in FC's mind with Erika. I can't imagine the ladies in viewerville wanting to have a fantasy with him knowing that affection from anyone but Fernanda would cause to make deceptive faces behind one's back. His heart would never be in it. CRT

Ladies, got my issue of People en Español today with the 25 hombres más guapos. Buy it or definitely read it in the grocery line. William Levy is on the front & el hunkismo is on page 97. He looks much younger in the picture, cute smile, longer shock of tousled, black hair with 3 dogs. OMG sighs, pitter pats. I think I'll have to frame it.
I still have a copy of Burt Reynolds posing in the nude, strategically placed hand, for Cosmopolitan somewhere.

Fernanda's daydreams are much better than Eduardo's wet dreams, even with clothes on, even though they are not in bed.

Anyone notice how much makeup Babs got on that cotton pad? She is a very beautiful woman. Actually in this novela it's wasted, more men than Damian would be after her in vida real.

We know the end of the novela is coming soon, they have started to advertise Sortilegio. I calculate 30 more episodes.

I haven't been able to find anything that FC is working on, waiting with baited breath.

Sandy, I actually like Fr/Ed character more now than previously. In the beginning he was filled with thoughts of revenge and then a little later he was so petty and jealous with Fer about Dam. Though I wish he would just 'fess up about his identity to Fer, part of the reason he hasn't is because he feels he needs to do this to protect Lili and Fer. Don't worry if there is not enough chemistry there for you, I am living in chemistry class with FC/Fr/Ed.

Carlos, you are correct. Dam does pink better. I think Fr/Ed should just take it off.

CRT, I guess we make up a posse of two!

Barbara, I want to like him, but I have a hard time with lies, lies, and more lies! Have no fear, I'll be back in the fan club after MEPS! FC is doing the best he can in a difficult role.

Variopinta, I would like to know what eye makeup remover Barbs uses. The heaps and gobs of makeup she wears simply vanished in seconds! Amazing.

I can't hate Fr/Ed, because I think he is just trying to make the most of this incredibly bad situation that he has gotten himself into. But I'm still mad at him for the bad choices he's made.

He should consider listening to his own heart instead of Esteve for a little while. Esteve means well, but there are times when you have to think for yourself.

Julia, I noticed the magic makeup remover pads as well, after cleaning her eye makeup, Barb's white pads were clean enough to use as medical sponges!!

Julie, you make a good point, Esteve has really "enabled" Franco.

Judyb~~~I'll take one ''happy nonstop bliss'' to go please and...supersize it !!! And ...I like FC in pastels...my fav was the mint green but I liked the pink, too. I still can't figure out how Fer will finally find out that Franco is Eduardo. However, we all know that once this hot mess is cleared up, Fer and Ed willk plunge into a pool of that happy nonsyop bliss and Fer's daydream will come true....pastel shirts en todo.

In Fernanda's daydream sequence, we've had more wardrobe changes than the whole novela.

Traveling Lady, I love your photo of the butterfly. It really is beautiful an relaxing to view as well.

Connie, Good luck and best wishes to your son, and may you be granted extra strength while he is away. That picture is awesome.

Carlos

Vario- ain't that the truth! I noticed that in each cahnge of camera angle, our star-crossed might-be lovers were wearing different clothes. Does that mean that several days had passed?

dorado dave, in my daydreams with FC, the wardrobe people could take the day off.

Gracias por el recap :)

I finally got my laptop back today, without the hard drive being wiped, so hopefully I'll be able to post things to the sidebar properly again!
