Manana es para siempre - Grand Finale, Part 5 - Soledad Cruz Community Center is now open

(last scene of Part 4 - "Firebug" Rebeca Sanchez pours rubbing alcohol on herself and then takes the cigarrette lighter from the desk and lights herself on fire. As she burns, she runs around the prison doctor's office/exam room crying out for her daughter Aurora. (She hopes that Aurora will stay with her, even if it's out of pity.)

Part 5 (beginning of the third hour of the finale):
* In the hospital cafeteria, Fer and Miguel sit and have some coffee. Fer raves about all the wonderful progress Lili is making with her therapy and that she is so very happy. Miguel notes a little sadness and nostalgia in Fer's mood and vocal tone. Fer admits that she is thinking about someone - Eduardo - she knows that he's alive.

* Lili meets with her psychologist in the office. They discuss Eduardo. Lili is worried about her sister being so sad and lonely because Eduardo went away and hasn't returned. Lili knows her sister loves him, but they have no idea where he is or how to contact him.

* Fer tells Miguel all the harsh words and how she treated him before he left; that she asked him to leave; and so he did as she requested. Miguel tries to say that he will be there and wait for her. Fer stops him. She tells him not to do it. It wouldn't be fair or right to him. He agrees with her, then proposes that they be friends, very good close friends. She likes that idea. He then changes the subject to talking about her community center project - that he has experience in other parts of the world working on project like this. Fer is surprised. He speaks the words "I accept" in Nahuatl (the native mexican language). They laugh and continue talking.

* During the session, Doctor is called out of the office for a moment. Just long enough for Ciro to visit Lili for the last time. She doesn't want him to go. He says, don't worry, soon you will have someone very special enter your life. She smiles.

* Gonzo visits Anibal and Priscilla in the maternity room. Priscilla lets Gonzo hold his grandson. Gonzo gives Anibal his son. Anibal announces the baby will be named "Anibal Elizalde" and will be the next president of Grupo Lactos. Just then -- SURPRISE! SURPRISE! SURPRISE! -- Vladimir enters and wants to see his son and takes the baby from Anibal. Gonzo is totally impactado (stunned). Priscilla tells him it's true, the baby isn't an Elizalde.

* Margie and another teacher bring a line of little children to the front door of the community center. Farmer Jacinto is there at the gate to welcome the little farmers to the school to learn all about agriculture. The kids squeal with joy and excitement. They follow Farmer Jacinto inside.

* In the office of Grupo Lactos, Gonzo scolds and reprimands Anibal for his arrogance and greed and lies and schemes. Anibal is totally impactado (stunned) when his dad punishes him with a complete demotion in the company.

* Short video tour of the completed community center.

* In the office, Gardenia brings Miguel some papers to review. He asks where is Fer? he needs to talk with her about something. Gardenia says she's working with Lili in the conference room. Miguel says he'll wait and find her later.

* Another short video of Fer and Lili and staff in their conference. Fer takes a break and walks outside. She walks to the garden patio where a group of children are having a class. A little girl runs over to her. She hands Fer the necklace with the "FE" pendant and says a man told her to give it to Fer. Fer asks who the man is. The little girl doesn't know his name, only that he is waiting in another part of the patio area.

* Fer walks to the front garden/entrance area. She smiles as she sees Eduardo walk down the stairs, smiling, and come towards her. He tells her that Padre Bosco had written him short letters about the center. He mentions the "Jinete Justiciero" and then he smiles and is honored that they named the center after his mom, "Soledad Cruz". Fer and Eduardo smile and hug.

* Fer is so excited to show Eduardo the center - she takes his hand and becomes his (and our) guide through the center. (Video tour of all the artisans, markets, cooking areas, craft areas, etc.) Eduardo smiles, listens and observes as Fer holds his hand and they tour the center. At the main entrance hall, Fer tells Eduardo that Jacinto is the center's director. Eduardo is happy to hear it. They laugh. Just then, Miguel appears and pulls Fer away to talk to her about center business. Eduardo is a little disappointed and disappears. As Fer attempts to stop the conversation with Miguel, and to introduce him to Eduardo, she looks around and can't find Eduardo anywhere. Miguel is stunned.

* Gonzo visits Camilo in prison. Camilo tells his daddy that he is really repentant for all the harm and malicious things he did. He assures his dad that when he is released from prison, he is totally and completely a new person. Gonzo is happy to hear this. They hug.

* Anibal is hard at work -- in the cattle barn -- with the other ranch hands. (Uh, Anibal, I hope you learned when the tail goes up, you step far away.)

* Eduardo visits his mom's vault at the church. He kneels down and prays to his mom about finding out that no one needs him there; he wonders what he should now do with his life, will he forever be waiting and wishing for something that never comes... Just then, Fer appears in the chapel. She says he forgot something and holds up the "FE" necklace. He says that's yours. She urges him to put it on her. He does so. Then he asks why? He reveals that he is jealous of her and Miguel. She laughs and tells him he's being stupid and jealous over nothing. Miguel is her friend and colleague, plus he's dating her sister Lili. She scolds him for not calling her or keeping in touch. Then she asks him how much longer will she have to wait before he asks to marry her. Eduardo smiles, says, "Fer. my first and only love." They kiss passionately.

And so ends my part of this three hour finale...

Gracias por el recap, Jody! I could not believe that, once again, Eddie was getting the wrong idea and taking off before asking questions. I'm glad Fer took matters into her own hands!

Thanks, Jody, for recapping this section. It was great therapy for Gonzo to put Anibal to work directly with the real producers--the cows. Even though Cadmilo was trying to be sincere describing his studies in prison and his repentance, it didn't seem quite believable.

You're welcome.

I have to say thank you to everyone for helping me out with the nicks and abbreviations and all the comments over the last two months of MEPS. I truly appreciated it.

Oh, and when I saw Anibal in the cattle barn - I was ROTFLOL. Fitting punishment, in my opinion.

Jody :)

Hola Jody. Thanks for all your faithful work. Notice you slipped in that Miguel was "stunned"...but was he "stirred and shaken"?...nah, but I think Fernanda and Eduardo were....finally!!!!

My one quibble with this section were those horrible shoes they put on Nanda. Thought she was going to trip when she started running. I now they're the latest hot fashion but they're unflattering...especially with such a short skirt.

Aside from that and the embarassing soloist in the church, loved the finale.

Embarrassing soloist? Ye gads, Judy, have you forgotten Franco Reyes's own rendition of that song? This soloist was much better!

PS - yes, loved to see Aniballs scooping the poop. Thanks Jody for your thorough coverage of this segment, I had one eye on my recap and one eye on the TV and ended up missing a lot in the last hour. Like Pris's reaction to Vlad. Did she actually dump Ani and go off with Vlad?

Jody - thank you for the great recap and all your untiring labor to give us recaps of this novela.

How appropriate that we see Anibal shoveling cow poo at the dairy farm. Good thing Bonzo woke up from his life-long mental nap and is teaching his son some life lessons.

What a sweet reunion between Ed & Fer. I did not like Fer's shoes, either.

OMG, that Ave Maria ... all I could think of was Franco Reyes. At least this woman stayed on key. She must be a famous singer in Mexico?

Judy, you recapped the one part where I fell asleep so deepest thanks for filling in the missing parts & for keeping the MEPS ball rolling. Whew, this certainly was one Gran Finale, wasn't it?

AnyBalls in cow sh!t was perfect. And I guess we're left to assume Pris & Vlad lived happily ever after with Vlad Jr.?

Prison agrees with Cad, since he's lost that sickly orange tint.

Gack! Hated Nanda's dress & shoes. Did nothing for her fab figure & the shoes made her legs look stumpy.

onward...

Thank you for the recap Jody. This was a great finale. Hey Anyballs--I've got some dog doo in my back yard that needs scooping! How funny was that?!

(Uh, Anibal, I hope you learned when the tail goes up, you step far away.) LOL! Great line! Sorry you won't be recapping for Sortilegio, Jody. Hope you will pop in and comment, though!
=======
Never saw Pris again with AnyBalls, especially the Boda, so I guess she did go off to Monterrey with papa bear and baby bear.

Jody, thanks for this wonderful recap and all of the many you have done for us lo these MANY months.

Well, just when I wasted my time and Iberra's time yesterday defending Vlad, saying he's really not a stalker, he bursts through the hospital door looking like a crazed madman. Thanks Vlad,, I tried to help you.

A silly punishment for Anibal and death for Damian, disappointing. The writers are softer on blood relatives, fab funeral and respectful burial in family crypt for Artie and forgivness and hugs for Camii the rapist, not fair!!!!

A great, fun viaje will all of you!

Judy -- I didn't write shaken and stirred for Miguel because he was more surprised and confused. However I probably could've written that for Gonzo when Vladi burst into the hospital room to see his son. Of course, I think Firebug Barbie did enough 'shaking and stirring' during her fire dance forever.

Jardinera -- don't worry, i'll definitely be stopping by to read along and comment every so often.

Jody :)

Jody, fantastic recap. Glad you will be stopping by and commenting - you will really be missed.

I would have liked to have seen if Vlad and Pris are together. That was the one missing piece in all of this. I liked Vlad, not perfect, but...I choose to beleive they are a family and are happy together.

Anibal was a murderer. He got away scot free ... the only one that didn't get what he deserved. Cowshit is too good for him.

Great recap, Jody, I've appreciated all of your recaps. Thank you!

I sort of thought Gonzo told Anibal that he could either try to get a high ranking job with another milk company, or start at the bottom at Lactos, which is what he did. Maybe I heard it wrong, but maybe he should have gone for another company. Sure was funny to see him with the cows, though!

Eduardo sure was a dunce, leaving when he just sees the slightest hint of Fer with Miguel. So SHE had to end up asking him to get married. As well she should, she was definitely a take charge gal.

I agree that since they never showed Vlad and Pris again, she must have gone off with him.

I'm sure it's been pointed out before, but I liked how the necklace (and the balloon) said FE, which not only means
Fernanda and Eduardo, but fe means faith.

I loved it when the cow chewed off a piece of Anibal's straw hat. :-D

Jody, I've enjoyed your recaps of MEPS the last few weeks, and your work tireless work here prior to your jumping in and taking over your spot. You have a nifty style and eloquence that allows you to paint a wonderful picture that sets the stage for those of us that feel compelled to visit here and share our opinions. Gonna miss you, but look forward to hearing more from you in the days to come as a commenter and later after recharging your batteries, as a recapper once again.

Carlos

Many thanks, Jody, for your excellent succinct recaps that were always so helpful and fun to read. Hope you check in soon and whenever you can as a commenter and stay around to add your unique.

that's unique "touch."

Thanks for the great recap Jody. Yes, Anibal, priceless. Not sure if Anibal was technical a murderer, but he sure wanted to be.. he thought he was. And yes, it sounded like he could probably try to get a job elsewhere, but went to the bottom.

Glad to see Ciro finally got his wings and left. :)

Gonzo must be getting tougher. The news that the child was not Anibal's would would have put him in the hospital again just a couple of days ago. :)

Oh, and, Man up Ed! Jeez, going off with his tail between his legs because Fer talked to Mig. Man oh man.

Camilo, a new person? Yeah sure. I hope they don't let him loose anytime soon. :)

Thanks for another great recap!

Jody thank you for all your recaps, I had fun reading them. Your work is very much appreciated.

Jarocha

Thanks, Jody for this and all recaps. Just time for one comment- Any?balls got off too easy- he was a conspirator to muder, and shovelling cowshit doesn't cut it for punishment.

Thanks, Jody, as I have enjoyed all your recaps and the gran finale recap.

Dorade Dave, ditto. I agree that Anyballs is so lucky he wasn't arrested for conspiracy to commit murder as he thought his hit job was effective until Vlad walked in to see his baby. I suppose the only ones left alive to testify would be Pris and the supposed hitman who wouldn't be inclined to do so. I agree shoveling doodoo isn't punishment enough even if it were elephants instead of cows.
