The body count is now at 4--Inaki, Arcadia, Macarena, and now Alonso. It's terrifying that only 2 people on the planet know for sure that Chris is Paloma's dad--Cruel-loca and Rufi.

We pick up where yesterday's episode ended. Liliana warning Emiliano about German interest in Paloma. Then being confronted by Eric cousin Sandra in the girls bathroom.

Emiliano thinking of Paloma and Paloma being sad as usual.

Rafael and Luz going off together.

Emiliano runs into Gabriel and ask him what his interest in Paloma.Warns him how much Paloma means to him.

Gabriel tells him that's his problem and walks away after telling him to respect paloma's decision.

Diana runs up to Meche asking where Camila has gone,Meche who is a gossip tells to the convention.Well this gets Diana going.

Samuel drop by misery manor to ask how Carloca is doing after her trip to Pachuca. Rufi eavesdrop on their conversation.

Cris and Ivonne try to console Natalia who is beside herself with grief.

Carloca after getting rid of Samuel and telling stop bothering her.Goes to German office to confront him about leaking the information concerning the inheritance.

German sleazy as usual lies and says maybe it was Rojas who did it.Carloca glares and squints as if she's not buying this lie because she would know firsthand about lying.

German then ask if he can start seeing Paloma,Carloca brings up paloma's pass novios doesn't that bother you. German says no, not at all.

Rafael and Luz are discussing his failed relationship with Camila.

Camila comes home looking for RoMEna, she can't believe no one is home.

Orlando calls and they talk she tells him she just got back. He ask about the convention and Rafael,Camila tells him that her and Rafael are finally ended even their partnership.

Orlando is happy to hear this.

Angelica writes Dario an email while Dario sits at his desk wondering how to respond to it.

An enraged Emiliano barges into German office demanding to know what he wants with Paloma. German tries to cool Emiliano down and ask him to trust him it's not what he thinks.

How can anyone trust a person who is shifty eyed as German is.

We see RoMEna being bossy with her maid who rolls her eyes after she leaves.

Next we see Paloma and Liliana walking along having a good laugh.RoMEna jealousy interrupts and ask Paloma why is she with her.

Liliana makes fun of RoMENa losing her figure and all, this does not sit well with RoMEna.Who then pulls Paloma towards her and ask her we're still best friends and i miss you.

Surprising Paloma tells her her new friend is Liliana and its best that they don't hang out together anymore. After all she has a new husband, a house and baby on the way.

Paloma then walks off with Lilianaleaving a shocked RoMena in their wake.

Cris goes to misery manor and tells Rufi about Alonso death.

Rufi then gets a phone call from Dr. B. telling her the same about Alonso.

Camila comes over to RoMEna new place and gets lip from RoMEna about where is Orlando and why did she comeback so early.

Carloca and Paloma come home and Paloma ask what's really going on with Carloca. Carloca explains she just came back from the lawyers and nothing much other than that is going on.

When Cris walked Natalia home another watched as he consoled Natalia.

Rufi told Carloca and Paloma about the death of Alonso, Carloca pretended to be shocked.

Paloma cannot believe someone else she knows has kicked the bucket.Carloca seems overly interested in the details of Alonso death and urged Rufi to tell her all the information she knows.

Luz and Rafael come back from their fun day together and are attacked by a rabid Diana who though at first he was with Camila.

Camila comes to her shop and is told by gossipy Meche that she spilled the beans about the convention to Diana and that she was there with Rafael. Camila tells Meche she and Rafael are no longer together, Meche takes this news sadly.

Diana is still angry that Rafael is with a woman and starts to be nasty towards Luz, who then on purpose kisses Rafael on the cheek and leaves.

Luz runs into Joel and tells him about the Diana experience. Joel runs and witnesses the Rafael and Diana confrontation.Rafael basically tells her he will never go back to her.

Carloca and Paloma sit over lunch and talk about the death of Alonso,Paloma wants to go see Natalia and Carloca ask her why a woman like her will never be alone.

Rufi can't believe how cruel Carloca is.

Rafael laughs about the memory of Luz kissing him in front of Diana and tells Joel about it.

Padre Benito talk while Cris packs he then forgot he has to talk to Paloma before he leaves.Benito warns Cris about Carloca.

Cris tells Benito to relax he wants nothing to do with Carloca but he made a promise to Mac concerning Paloma.Benito finally understands because he knows Cris great love for Mac.

We see Diana bothering everyone who walks by asking if they have seen or know where Rafael is.

Carloca,Rufi and Paloma are over at Natalia house offering her comfort.Natalia still can't understand how this has happened.

She then ask Paloma if maybe Alonso said anything at all to her.Paloma says no nothing,Natalia then brings up the deaths of Inaki,Mac and now Alonso.

She then starts to wonder how all three who know each other can die so early in their life. This comment makes La Loca a bit uncomfortable.

Angelica and Emiliano are in the office and he complaining about Gabriel. Angelica gently tells Emiliano he has to let go of his feelings and love for Paloma.

Emiliano sulkily says he can't he loves her so much, but Angelica says i know it hurts but for the sake of your baby you must.

Emiliano looks sick to his stomach.

We see Dario submitting Angelica's manuscript under his name the secretary recognizes him.

Angelica meanwhile is leaving another frantic email to Dario who looks at his blackberry. Telling Angelica to forgive him but his career needs this book and it's a masterpiece.

Natalia is talking to Cris who walks over to talk to Paloma about Mac.

Cris goes over to Carloca asking for the letter from Mac she gave him on the night she drugged him.

La Loca cheerfully tells him she made it up.Cris looks at her with more disgust. She gets all close and personal with Cris and tells her to control herself.

He ask why did she drugged him that night.Natalia comes and interrupts them.
Paloma,Rufi and Carloca get ready to say their goodbyes.

Natalia talks about getting her daughter and what will she tell her about her father.

We hear the doorbell ring and four men come in asking for Natalia and Padre Cris.

They are then place under arrest for the death of Alonso both Cris and Natalia cry what are you talking about. The police accuse them both of being lovers and conspire together to kill Alonso.

The whole room is in a state of shock while we see a small tiny little smirk as the Purple Grinch revels in her latest handiwork.

Previews for Monday Cris and Natalia are arguing their innocence with the police.

Rufi tells Carloca there's no way Cris could have done that he's Paloma father.Paloma while watching this conversation turns to look at what Rufi meant by this comment.

LaLoca turns around looking like she needs some tums.

It's true that only Rufi and La Loca know who Paloma's dad is for sure. If Padre Benito can get through all of her lies he knows too.

Orlando was offered a deal to set up his business in Houston, he had look on his face wondering how is this going to effect his relationship with Camila.

Thanks to whoever Anon is for the recap in the comments tonight. I am completely dependent on recaps until January so I am really grateful.

Well I am off to watch Yañez with Arceley Arambula and Cristian de la Fuente in another three way struggle on Corazon Salvaje Buenas noches amigos.

Why does Rafa give Diana so much confidence. He gives her so many explanations. He should just show her the hand and tell her to get lost!!! She may be still married according to the law but she can't make him stay married to her if he doesn't want to.

And Emiliano, he's acting like a jerk. He's married and she's never supposed to find anyone else.

Good job, Anon.

Ann-NYC

Thank You Ann. Rafael is still a good guy and he's trying to avoid to get down to Diana's level.I said this before he needs to bring up her past with Orlando to his lawyers and get his divorce.

As Emiliano who was it that said a couple of days ago that now we see that Emiliano is really Orlando's son.LOL about that comment but all so true.

Angelica gave him some good advice last night, let's hope that he will listen this time.

Anonymous...How thoughtful of you to do the recap. The ENDA group is really a cohesive one and I love how you all hang together to keep up on this, one way or another. And Lord knows, there's no shortage of mayhem and action! Bien hecho.

Anon, thank you so much for your kindness in recapping. I guess only in novela-land would Carloca's success be conceiveable. Padre and Natalia in jail? What a turn.

Thank you so much for the recap, Anon, great appreciate it! Rabid is the right word for Diana, most of the time, LOL!

Arrghh! It was so hard to see La Loca smirking, I just hate her, isn't that silly for a character? She is the WORST, though, and keeps getting away with it. I hope Rufi's revelation is going to be some good news, that Pal and PJC will find out the truth. But, of course, he's in jail now. It seems there is a lot of evidence that will show he and Natalia were nowhere near the scene of Alonso's death, though.

Good to see Pal treating RoME appropriately for all she has done. That girl is starting to suffer some hard knocks for all of her manipulations, but it hasn't gotten through yet - she still was nasty to her mother.

Emoon is just ridiculous at this point, rabidly (he is Diana's son) going after any man that gets near Pal.

Thanks for the very thorough recap, Anon. Maybe we should agree on whether you'd like to continue to do Friday recaps in the comments or would want to alternate. I posted recaps in the comments for a couple of weeks and had taken notes for last week's and this week's. You get yours up very fast, though, and I haven't needed to write anything. It's fine if you want to continue; I'll stop taking notes and just comment. But if you'd like to alternate, let me know.

Cheryl, real life (bad car trouble just in time for Xmas!) got in the way of my reading your comment several days ago about your Oaxaca trip. I LOVED the photos you have on flickr. Were some of those photos taken during Dec 12 celebrations of the Virgin of Guadalupe? So glad you're posting an occasional comment again. We've missed you.

Angelica's advice to Emiliano to forget Pal and concentrate on the baby seems sensible but I missed what she said to Emil when she gave him the two roses from the vase. Did she want him to try and make peace with Romina?

Terrific recap, Anon and thanks for clearing some things up since I have no captions.

Oh, I'm glad that Carloca admitted to Chris that she wrote the letter not Macarena. Just another reason on the list for Chris to reject Loca.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Ange and Dario. Maybe the laws are different in Mexico. When you create a document (at least in Word), you get the date you first opened the doc, then the last time you revised it. If it's on her computer, it seems she could prove she wrote the book. It was infuriating to see that jerk in the registry office. He tried to justify it by saying his back was to the wall. It almost seems they're trying to intimate that since he had the "only" copy, he got away with it. Telenovela logic at its worst.

Actually, I wondered if maybe German was telling the truth. He's been sort of an ambiguous character. He told Em he was trying to protect Paloma, but couldn't tell him from whom. This would make sense in a "lawyer's privileged knowledge" sort of way. It's more likely he's after the money, but he maybe could be trying to see that Loca can't keep Pal from her inheritance.

Loved Liliana telling Pal she didn't think vampires were out in the daytime when she spotted RoMEna.

I could have strangled Carloca during that whole scene at Nat's house. She sits there gloating while poor Natalia sobs. Then gloats some more with Cris over how much she enjoyed kissing him. I was surprised she told him she wrote the letter.

It's kind of unbelievable that the RdM cops would haul them away like that on the basis of an anonymous letter that the writer was too cowardly to even write in their own handwriting. They didn't say they were taking them for questioning - but they were actually "detenidos" or arrested. My telenovela instinct tells me this won't last long, but I could be wrong.

Ivy i don't know if you remember the talk Meche had with Camila about RoMEna a long time ago. She said RoMEna needs to have experience life hardships to wake up from her reality.

Now she is starting to experience it, when she looked at the picture of her and Paloma as little girls there was a wistfulness in her gaze.

Then we she thought once again that she could control Paloma and dictate to her who to like and be friends with. Paloma told her it best that they aren't friends anymore.

Liliana is a very good friend to her,Paloma with her honesty pierce the dishonesty of RoMEna's friendship with her.Well acted and perfect words for the occasion.

The look on her face when Paloma and Liliana walked away from her. She is now realizing what all her manipulation, control and scheming is costing her.

GinCa sorry i forgot to put that part in. Yes Angelica was telling Emiliano to make peace and start his new life as a husband with her.

Emiliano cannot not bring himself to accept it because of how much he loves Paloma.

Novelera thanks if i can't do it i'll let you know ok.

Novelera i get a kick out any Liliana and RoMEna confrontation because Liliana see right through RoMEna B.S. unlike some others.

That's why RoMEna can't stand her she can't be manipulated.

German is in it for the money point blank he can care less about what's going on with Paloma. I just find him so slezy.

How are you going to arrest someone based on a letter like Carloca sent and her stupid pictures.

Real Del Monte police make the keystone cops look like they are Scotland Yard police.

Anon, thanks for clearing up what Angelica said to Emiliano and the reason for the roses. I was confused because this means in a way that Romina has won through all her lies and manipulation. I sure that Angelica remembers how Romina almost had her wrongly terminated from her job at the girl's school. So I guess Emiliano and Angelica realize that for the baby to have a decent life, Emiliano has to put some effort into a positive relationship with Romina. But I do think Angelica stepped over the line with the roses.

It seems that Germie did some quick thinking for an excuse for Emiliano as to why he was visiting Paloma. We know Germie's really into Pal's money but I would also like to think that he would probably protect Pal from Carloca if he thought her inheritance was in jeopardy. Hopefully, he wouldn't have a price for that.

So I guess the Rafa/Camila relationship is fini since Rafa has a new love interest.

GinCA

I don't think Angelica has forgotten how RoMEna got her fired from her job but she's thinking of the kind of environment the baby will be in.

That's why she is urging Emiliano to let go of his feelings and love for Paloma and try for his child sake to make things work with RoMEna.

Her giving him the roses to give to RoMEna is her way of saying this is your first step of trying to forget Paloma.

As we can see he doesn't want to do that he probably wants to give them to Paloma instead. He has to move on like so many of us had said.

I think it was a good gesture on her part so we have to wait and see what Emiliano will do.

As for German he had a price just to look at Paloma's inheritance papers. That's why he didn't let Dr. B. look at them.

Alonso knew what type of person German is too.

Novelera and other friends, thanks for the welcome back notes. It really does feel like coming home for the holidays like JudyB mentioned a few days ago. About the Oaxaca pictures on flickr. Yes photos of the children especially were from the 12, feast day of the Virgin de Guadalupe. The boys were all dressed liek Juan Diego the peasant who VdeG appeared to. Also the patron saint of Oaxaca is the Virgin de Soledad (solitude) which follows on about the 18th so the wise Oaxaca folk just celebrate straight through all those days in between.

So it is hard to stand the ridiculous extremes that Carloca and Diana are allowed to take us to but then without the maddness and mayhem, it wouldn't be a Telenovela worth its salt. Rafa and Emiliano are likewise hitting the extremes of absurdity. I wonder if Romina will spawn a conscience when she brings forth the little bundle or just be so unhappy she will be a dreadful, sulky immature mother.

As some of you know I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I used to go to the Mariachi Festival in San Jose every year. One year a friend and I went to the Mariachi Mass on Sunday at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Joseph. It was quite beautiful. They re-enacted the whole scene of Juan Diego encountering the Virgin of Guadalupe on the hill of Tepeyac, his telling the bishop of the miracle, the bishop doubting him, and the final appearance of the roses and the Virgin. They had a very famous mariachi group from Los Angeles on stage playing while the excellent actors re-enacted the scenes. The young woman dressed as the Virgin was amazing. She exuded holiness.

Anon, thank you for filling in!

Novelera and CherylNewMex, maybe one or both of you (or somebody else who knows) can tell me why they sing Las Mañanitas for the Virgin’s day. I watched her celebration on TV the other night. I know Mañanitas as a birthday song. Was it originally connected to the Virgin, or is her day considered to be her birthday? Anyway, it was thrilling to see a line of popular singers (some of whom we’ve seen acting in telenovelas) up there blasting out that song, with the mariachis in full throat too.

Back to our story:

Novelera, I was also wondering if maybe Germ wasn’t as bad as we were thinking lately. I didn’t know what to make of his saying he wanted to protect Paloma.

And thank you for prepping to write a recap for this episode. It’s a lot of work!

I mostly like Lili but when she gets to catty name-calling at Romena, not so much. Yes, Romina would gladly fire similar barbs at her, but Romina is hardly a role model. If I were Paloma I’d be wondering exactly what kind of person I’d just made friends with.

Maggie, I agree with you re: Liliana. I like her as well, but she might just try ignoring Romina rather than responding with taunts about her pregnancy weight. Romina craves attention so ignoring her would work just as well. I preferred how Paloma was just firm with Romina but not mean, just saying she was distancing herself from her and Emiliano. That's the Paloma I hope we see more of rather than the soft weepy one.

Ha ha. Too bad Rufi doesn't have a cell phone camera; she could have taken a picture of Carloca with the car repair guy and written an anonymous letter to the police re: Arcadia's hit-run death. It would be fun to see her Purple Highness glowing and glowerng behind bars.

Thanks Anon. & Novelera for keeping up with the Friay slot. If nobody is covering the next two Tuesdays for Julia, maybe someone can post a comments link and we can all add to it. I'm sure there won't be episodes on Thursday and Friday because of holiday scheduling.

Oh, and police in Real de Monte, have you never heard of motive, means and opportunity? It's pretty flimsy to say that a few pictures of Cris & Natalia hugging out in the open constitute proof of a clandestine affair, let alone a motive for murder. And as for means and opportunity, do either of them even have a vehicle or a record of having rented one? And were they anywhere near Pachuca? But still the grieving widow and a priest are in the clink. Of course, we'll now have the nosy neighbors popping up to verify the "affair". Sheesh.

Jackie

As for Maggie's question regarding "Las Mananitas", yes it was originally a song to La Virgen de Guadalupe. Personally, I have been muy impactada by these songs and the midnight on December 11 mananitas ceremonies that I have experienced in Mexico and in Mexican-American communities in the U.S. At one time I had a tape of all the major mananitas songs, many of which can be heard on You Tube. When you attend one of the mananitas ceremonies, you will be blown away with the beauty, the sweetness, the devotion of the people, and what Virgencita means to the Mexican people in general.

OK, now back to ENDA. Clearly, Crueloca is not La Virgen de Guadalupe.

Also, I can't believe how uh, well "Germy" Germy is becoming. What a scumbag!

Dona Gringuita

Someone mentioned on the Sortilegio recap we get two hours of ENDA for Friday i believe.

Also no one is doing tomorrow's recap right?

If no one is doing a recap for tomorrow please post a comment section. Thank You.
