ENDA, December 9, 2009

PJC reads the letter Carloca gave him that is supposedly from Macarena while drinking the belladonna juice. Carloca is watching from behind a door.

Paloma is talking to herself about Gabriel and Emiliano comes up on her.

PJC starts feeling the effects of the belladonna and passes out. Carloca goes over to him and starts kissing him. She locks the door and takes a picture of them kissing. She unbuttons his shirt and caresses him then takes more pictures.

Emiliano tries to kiss Paloma and the phone rings. It's Romina. Paloma goes into the house.

Rafael tells Joel that he is still going to try to convince Camila to go to the conference.

Diana wants to make an appointment with an attorney regarding Rafael's infidelity. She doesn't want a divorce, but wants to make him so miserable that he will rethink leaving her.

Emiiano goes into Romina's room and rushes to the balcony where he spots Paloma staring out her window.

Carlota takes more pictures of her and PJC together.

Rufi tells Edmundo that she lost her job. He promises to fix it.

Orlando comes to bring Camila flowers and finds her crying. She tells him thanks to Diana the whole town thinks she's a golfa. Orlando tells her that they need to get married right away and then everyone will respect her again.

PJC finally wakes up and tells Carloca to leave. This is god's house and do not offend him anymore. Carloca says she is the one offended. She will no longer allow it. He calls her crazy and tells her to get out. Carloca says that the saying goes "La locura cura". Now you will know my fury. What you have seen so far pales to what you will face now. He tells her to get out again. That she makes his skin crawl. Get out and do not offend the house of god. I'll leave replies Carloca. But not because you want me to, but because I have completed what I came to do.

Rufi calls Camila and tells her that Carloca fired her. She's sad because she hasn't had a chance to talk to Paloma. She wonders if Camila can give Paloma a message for her. Camila tells her she will and when Rufi returns she can stay at her house.

Gabriel has a web cam talk with his dad. He talks about Paloma and her interest in the beca.

Paloma talks to Liliana about her encounter with Emiliano. He told her how much he misses kissing her and touching her. Just like you feel replies Liliana. How can I forget him if he lives right across the street asks Paloma to Liliana. I see him everyday. Do you fear that you will succumb to him asks Liliana. Yes replies Paloma. Emiliano is a great temptation. Our separation was not because we feel out of love, but because destiny pulled us apart.

Emiliano watches Romina eat and tells her that he will wait until her mother comes for him to eat wit her. Is there anything else you wantasks Emiliano. Just you replies Romina. Emiliano just sighs. Camila walks in. Romina says that by the end of the week they will be moving to their house. Camila thinks it's a bad idea because she is on bed rest. Romina says that she hired a decorator to fix up the place, hired a nurse to care for hern and a maid to cook and clean. Emiliano tells Romina that he can't afford all that. Romina says I have money and I can pay for it. Emiliano says it's a bad idea. Camila agrees. Romina gets ugly with her and Emiliano comes to her defense. He also says their not leaving without permission from the doctor. Romina says she will call him today to come over. Depending on what he says they will leave or stay.

Rafael goes to Camila's shop to bring the invitation to the conference to her. Since she's not there he givess it to Monica.

Carloca looks at a picture of Macarena and says that PJC will fall for her. Then rips up the picture. She calls the archbishop's office and wonders if he's back yet. She makes an appointment to see him now that he's back. She pulls out the engagement ring that PJC gave Macarena.

PJC is trying to get up and falls back down again. Then passes out.

Paloma leaves her house and Emiliano walks up on her again. She tells him that she can't see him everyday. It hurts. So please keep your distance from me and walks away.

The doctor tells Romina that she will have to be on bed rest for most of her pregnancy. Romina whines and complains. Camila reminds her that this is best for the baby. Romina asks Camila to get her a glass of water so that she is out of the room when she asks the doctor to help her out. Romina says that she just got married and has grand dreams of setting up her own house with her husband. She says that her mother is wonderful, but is constantly at her side and doesn't want any problems with her husband because of that. He agrees to help her.

Angelica tells Orlando that she finally finished her book. Orlando wants to read it. Her ex-boyfriend Dario comes up on her and says finally you have written your own book.

Sounds like Romina got her way since the doctor is telling Camila that it's okay for Romina to move into her own home.

Diana is talking to a kid that she hired to spy on Camila's store. She finds out that Rafael came to visit, but Camila was not there. Inez asks her what she is doing. Diana explains hiring the kid to report to her anything going on at Camila's store. Inez thinks she's lost her marbles. Inez gets up to leave, but Diana begs her to stay. They argue.

Angelica wants to know what Darios's doing there. He wants to know if she's interested in Orlando. Why do you care asks Angelica. He says he knows her well and the way she's acting with Orlando is the same way she acted with him. What do you want asks Angelica. He tells her that he no longer works for the company. He gives her his new card and says that she is very important to him. Angelica tells him to leave. He offers to help her locate a good editor/publisher for her book. She declines his offer. He tries again. She says she'll think about it.

Paloma goes to visit Gabriel and tells him that she has decided to take lessons from him on Mondays and Thursdays from 4 to 6. Without looking at her he tells her to mark it on his calender. She gives him a funny look. (because he's not flirting with her) He smiles. She asks for a list of all her supplies she needs, but he shows her the bag with her supplies in it. Paloma gets upset because she didn't ask him to buy it, she was. He tells her that his dad bought it for her. Part of the beca she got.

Romina tells Emiliano that the doctor gave her permission to move. Emiliano hangs up on her and asks himself how can be live alone in a house with her?

Padre Benito finds PJC in his bed passed out. He wakes him up and PJC says that she was here. PB pulls a sweater out of PJC's hand and wants to know what this means. PJC just mumbles.

Inez's secret admirer walks up to her. He wants to know if she's okay. Inez just replies that you think you know someone. He invites her a cup of coffee. Inez looks like she is excited then declines. Then changes her mind and accepts.

Images of Gabriel thinking of Paloma, Paloma getting ready for bed, Emiliano fixing up the couch to get some zzzzzz's and Romina alone in her bed.

Paloma is leaving for school and Camila calls out her name. She tells Paloma that she has a message for her from Rufi. Emiliano spots Camila and Paloma on the street talking. Paloma gets upset by what Camila told her about Rufi. She wants to talk to her. Camila says I don't have her number, but she will be calling me tomorrow morning at home. Come over before leaving for school. Paloma is grateful and asks Camila how Romina is fairing. She informs her that Romina will be leaving to move to her own place.

Romina comes out of the bathroom and notices Emiliano on the balcony. She finds Emiliano staring at Paloma and starts in on him. Emiliano frustrated walks inside and asks Romina why she always likes to pick fights? Romina says that is the only way for you to respect me. He says find then respect others so they respect you and walks out.

PJC tells Padre Benito about his night and how he felt. PB wants to know if anything happened between him and Carloca. PJC says no, of course not.

My recording stopped so I don't know what is left. Please fill in. Thanks.

Hi Gloria. I like your concise style and you captured just about everything. At the very end we see Carlota gloating over the pictures she took of herself and Cris, and thought-bubbling that with these photos and the ones she has of him with Natalia, she has all she needs to prove Cris is "immoral".

La Loca is so delusional she actually thinks she'll win Cris over by making sure his promotion is denied and that he may even be defrocked. He already loathes her and we can just imagine his reaction when he sees these fake incriminating photos. Hope he doesn't go postal.

I didn't catch what he said about Carloca being near his glass. Does he suspect that she drugged him? I can't imagine why he wouldn't want to have a doctor check him out after that terrible episode on the floor, especially if he doesn't know what caused it. And speaking of doctors, Romina's Gyn reminded me more of a hitman than a physician.

I always love Gloria's recaps....

This was a crazier than usual episode, like the previous poster I wonder how carloca thinks by destroying his life that will make him suddenly fall on bended knee and love her till the end of the universe....

Emiliano is actually starting to get on my nerves....I feel bad for him but he's making it so hard for Paloma to move on by stalking her, staring at her through windows etc.... I mean have we not heard of a court system...the second RoMEna threatened to harm or take away my child we would've been in court like white on rice....

When is anyone going to tell Paloma about her money? Are we going to give her another paper to read and magically carloca finds it and burns it again?

And I have to add this gabriel is a lot cuter than emil...in this scruffy sort of way....I think Pal and Gab make a cute couple.

And why didn't anyone call a doctor instead of screaming at pjc like a fool? Things that make you go hmmmm.....

Thanks for the recap, Gloria. I don't think it's posted to the sidebar yet. Can someone who knows how do that?

That was a truly nauseating scene with Carloca and the unconscious Cris. Kudos to the actress, but it was absolutely disturbing, especially when she said she could stay there all night kissing him. I guess she's never had the sensation of someone kissing her back, so kissing a passed-out man seemed great to her.

I agree that Emiliano needs to respect Paloma's wishes and stay away from her, but that's not how TNs are written.

Romina completely bamboozled the gynecologist. She got him to believe they were kindred spirits by saying Camila was an interfering mother in law.

I'm pretty sure the ring Carloca was gloating over was not Macarena's engagement ring, but the real one Iñaki gave Paloma. She said that if only Cris would have loved her like the little Spaniard loved Pal, she wouldn't have had to resort to all these dirty tricks.

I'm VERY suspicious of Dario. He asked to read Ange's manuscript. I wouldn't put it past him to try to publish it as his own. She said it was the only copy, but that she'd just printed it, so presumably it's on her computer. Not sure where this story line is going.

Gloria, thanks for a great recap and it was posted so quickly as well.

Ditto to Jackie's and Kynetta's comments. I hope the incriminating glass with the traces of belladona was not washed of evidence since Chris did mention drinking the water in the sequence of what occured. I thought I saw Loca add some drops to the pitcher as well but I may be mistaken. But, what are the chances of a CSI in RdM anyway. Yes, Padre Mateo needed to call a doctor and since he didn't, Chris, take thee to the doctor for a checkup. And how did Chris end up with Carlota's black sweater in his hand. Thank goodness it wasn't a bra or a big panties as I couldn't tell what it was on my tv.

Paloma looks like a child in her makeover (except for the awful matronly outfits, though the pink sweater and black pants weren't bad...but the vest, no.) And as mentioned before, she is acting lke a brat and continues to toward Gabriel for some reason unknown to me and not the least bit grateful for his tutoring and the fact that his father is her benefactor.

Romi continues to lie and manipulate. It doesn't bother her to disparage her mother as an excuse to leave the house. She pulled one over on her gullible specialist. After his conversation with Camila, he should have wondered why the meddling mother was so willing to let Romina go if she were that controlling. Ugh.

Oy. Vey. Of all the disturbing scenes on this very disturbing show, I think Carlota molesting an unconscious priest was among the worst.

Also, Padre Benito is the dimmest of all the dim bulbs. Cris was obviously in very bad shape and could hardly wake up (and it wasn't the middle of the night or anything), and the living room was trashed. WHY didn't he call a doctor? And the police? I think Cris at least suspects he was poisoned.

Paloma needs to lose the vests and the attitude. I loved it when Gabriel started ignoring her, though. Our Paloma is NOT accustomed to being ignored!

Is anyone else sick of Emiliano. I felt bad for him at first but and weary of him now. I know it was a bad break for him, but he made the decision to marry, so he should stop being a whinebag and get on with his life and let Paloma get on with hers. Is the baby going to grow up with him sulking around all the time and trying to get with another woman who is not his mom??? That will be real
healthy!!!!!!

Carloca was grabbing things before she left. I think she took the letter i don't know about the glass that Cris drunk the poison juice from.

She only put the drops in the glass, OMG she is a very delusional psycho.

I wonder if the producers and writers study people like RoMEna and Carloca to write their parts.

I think Angie's ex is going to steal her manuscript. Remember when he had so called writer's block and had asked Angie to come back and work for him

Angie was responsible for the success of his first books too.

I'm so glad Camila told Paloma about Rufi and how she was fired. Let's hope Paloma will retain this info for more than 15 minutes.

Glad i wasn't the only one annoyed with Padre Benito. Now Cris knows who not to call during an emergency.

Geez the could have really been dying from a heart attack an his response was just to yell what happen.

La Loca should give him some of that Belladona.

Last night, the captions were a complete train wreck and I kept thinking Gloria’s going to save me! And sure enough you did. Thank you so much.

For those of you who don’t need captions what’s going on is that a person will make a paragraph-long speech and the captions will print out about 3 unimportant words and then maybe a single letter here or there. Halfway through the captions stopped completely and I was praying that they had fired the captioner. But no luck, they came on later, just as useless. I watched about 5 minutes of Sortilegio and it looks like the caption problem is going on there too.

Relying just on listening, I came to understand why everyone was complaining about the background music being way too loud so that it is hard to understand what’s being said.

Kynetta – I agree that Gabriel is way dishier than Emiliano. But what’s up with Paloma’s behavior around Gabriel? She seems like a totally different character, and, I must say, not a very likeable one.

When Angie said it was the only copy of her book, I felt an anvil coming on. But how can that be in this day and age? Did she write it on a typewriter? If she did, does she not have the good sense to make some photocopies?

What happened to Orlando? Did he slip out of the room when Dario and Angie continued their conversation? Wasn't Orlando interested in reading the manuscript as well? Angie, if you fall for Dario and his using you again, you deserve to lose your counseling/therapy certificate. Yes, there should be a Kinko's type place if she doesn't have a printer or a copier handy. I am sure Orly wouldn't mind her making a copy for him at the office. Beanie time.

However looney this novela is becoming, it's still fun, unpredictable and has great acting.

GinCA

Ella, I totally agree with you re: Emiliano. He made the decision to marry Romina for the baby so the bottom line is that he's married. Period. End of story. He needs to man up and leave Paloma alone. She's trying to move on. I think she'll eventually soften towards Gabriel, especially if he confides his tragic secret to her. Basically, she's a soft, kind hearted person.

I'm glad Rufi's out of harm's way with Senor Mariachi but I find that side story a little boring. I just need her to check in every now and again.

Jackie

If I remember correctly, Paloma didn't want to admit to herself she liked Sillyano when all that mess with Inaki happened.

Methinks she's also in denial about Gabirel.

Paloma, honey, your attitude and your new look both reek.

~Caborita

Jackie I hope she does soften up to Gabriel. I like him better than Emiliano already. He has a great kind smile just like Inaki.
Why is she such a witch around him. She is annoying also. I still vote for Liliana or Natalya as the lead female.

Paloma is acting a lot like Carlota...not homicidal and obsessive, but totally snotty and rude and expecting people to love and respect her despite that.

I'm not sure why Emiliano doesn't want to move. Romina has hired a nurse and a maid, and she's confined to bed so he shouldn't have too hard a time avoiding her. I'm sure she hasn't told her decorator to order two beds, but Emiliano can get himself one, no problem, and then he won't have to sleep on the couch any more.

And yes, he did decide to marry her. Even if it was coerced, he still made that decision, so he needs to suck it up and stop pursuing Paloma.

The avances for tonight showed Natalia passing out.

With those pictures, how is Carlota going to trash Cris's reputation without destroying what's left of her own? We know that a lot of the characters are catching on to her lies and despise her, but she still seems to think she is seen as a fine upstanding moral citizen and she's very proud of that.

He probably does not want to move because then he can't see Paloma everyday like he is now.

When decided to marry RoMEna then he has to leave Paloma alone.

Julia didn't the other padre say to Carloca when she went to see the bishop before that everything would be confidential.

Ange was shown in Inez' house writing her book on a laptop, so presumably the doc is on her computer. She also said she printed that copy and that it was the only one. But, once you print something from a computer you still have the document.

Surely no one would be stupid enough to print their manuscript and then delete the file from their laptop.

So it seemed like an anvil when Dario asked for a copy, but I don't see how he gets away with it, presuming she has the book stored in her laptop.

Also, Carloca is going to see the Archbishop with her story and photos. But I thought Padre Benito had told that assistant to the bishop (the same one Carloca's been calling on the phone) that Carloca was a crazy woman. So, it's hard to say if she'll be believed. Although those pictures are pretty damaging.

La Loca is going to use both sets of pictures to prove that Cris is not bishop or padre material. Even though the guy has been forwarned about Carloca.

It will probably be investigated to see who is really telling the truth. Also she will use that he's the father of Paloma line too.

I hope the bishop is smarter than Padre Benito.

If I had written a whole entire book, it would not only be saved on the computer, but also backed up on flash drives stored in several different locations, one of which would probably be the safe-deposit box. That is a lot of work to risk losing.

Still, Dastardly Dario probably will try to claim it as his own. He may even be able to credibly claim that the style of writing proves he did it, since Ange was the one actually responsible for his earlier successful works. Do we know what this book is about?

I think by her letting Orlando read it before it's publish will be her proof that she wrote it.
ITA about hard drive flash drives stored on a cd and put in a safe.

Padre Benito and his mole are getting on my last nerve.

Lots of Carlota's plotting about Cris and the priesthood doesn't make sense. She told Benito about Paloma being his child under the seal of confession. But if she tells the Archbishop about it, he will confront Cris with it as a reason why he can't be a bishop. And she's already said she doesn't want him ever to know that.

So I think she'll keep that part of things to herself and only go for the photos of him visiting Natalia and the "torrid" love photos with she and Cris. Again, lots doesn't make sense. Who makes love with a photographer a foot away taking pictures of you and the other person?

Haa, haa, Novelera about the lurid photos taken by someone a foot away from Loca and Chris. Maybe there is a sex tape as well since everyone seems to make them these days Yes, the logic is confusing or just plain not there.

GinCA

Novelera she not just trying to prevent Cris from getting the bishop promotion now. Now she trying to get him defrocked like Jackie said.

She thinks in her deranged thinking he'll be thankful and come running to her.

After last night escapade she told him to wait for when she unleashes her fury on him because he rejected her once again.

I don't know if she has given up on him running to her. As we have seen she's like the energizer bunny she's keeps plotting and plotting and plotting.

I can't believe that Creulota still thinks she has a chance w/ PJC! So, I guess posioning and blackmail are the ways to a man's heart? The most sensible thing to do would be to posion Natalia, since she's the one after him.

And yes, I'm so sick of Emiliano too. He knew the consequences of marrying Romi and no, he never had to marry her. But since he has, he needs to grow up and start acting like a father-to-be, instead of a lovesick puppy. And I'm a bit sick of Pal's whining too. I'm all for Paloma's new found romance with the new guy (how old is he supposed to be? 20? 22?)he's way more attractive and mysterious than Emil. Pal's new makeover looks cute. I can't believe Creulota let her go through with it. But I guess when you're too busy mixing posions and plotting, you don't have time to notice your neice's grownup look!

I haven't been able to be one here all day so it's probably pretty late. But I have to say I didn't understand Padre B either. I thought he was assuming Cris was drunk and maybe didn't quite believe that he wasn't. I thought that was why he wasn't more caring. Carloca is so utterly evil, ach!

Ivy:
I played back the conversation with Padre Benito several times and I also used the captions. PB asked PJC if he had regressed back into Alcohol and Cris vigorously protested that. Also the garment Carlota placed into Cristobol's hands was described by PB as "prenda intima" which translates to underwear, so Gin in CA who said thank goodness it was a sweater and not a bra or panties did have the right feeling that Carlota would probably be leaving something more incriminating. That of course promted PB to ask if they had relations, which again upset Cris. Finally, PB, who is slow to catch on as Julia pointed out, said Carlota is capable of just about anything and made Cris feel like he believed him. He said though Ojalá Oh that none of this has consequences."
