Sortilegio, 12/18/09 -- Court Room Chaos: Crusoe’s Revenge and Rescue

Capítulo 57

[I was caught unawares as my cable provider went premium digital with Uni. So, now, I guess, I’ll have to also! The recap follows, but it's from what I could make out on YouTube and from esmas notes. If something seems wrong, feel free to add or correct it. –ed.]

Alex and Fernando are still playing Robinson Crusoe while Bruno plays chauffeur for Katia, taking her to her great uncle’s rancho out in the boonies.

Bruno tells the old T.A. (tío abuelo) that Fernando is missing and probably dead and so Katia felt she was better off with him for a while. Crotchya immediately interjects that Bruno is her fiancé and that they plan to get married in a few months. This is news to Bruno! He decides to cut this inopportune visit short and says it’s time to go. Crotcha walks him out. Once they’re alone in the courtyard he asks why she had to tell her uncle that they were engaged! The naïve little twit whines that she thought they were! (I immediately wonder where she’s packed the wedding day paper dolls.) He tells her that with everything on his mind right now, the last thing he needs is to be thinking about a wedding. Little Miss Clinging Vine wants reassurances that he won’t forget her there and will call her every day. She whines that she’s afraid he’s brought her there as a way to get rid of her. He kisses her (after checking for lollipop goo, I’m sure) and says he’ll never forget her; and no, of course he’s not dumping her! He promises he’ll call, but says it can’t be every day. Too much is going on right now. They kiss and he drives off, probably secretly very glad to be rid of her--at least for a while, till she’s useful again.

Inside the main house, the housekeeper and TA have a good cry over Fernando’s untimely demise. “Such a fine, intelligent, handsome young man!” Sob. Sob. He tells the housekeeper that supposedly Fer went on vacation with his boss, Alejandro Lombardo, and they had some sort of accident. The housekeeper remembers then that a Victoria Lombardo called earlier for him. Lombardo? Oh noes! He calls Vicki back immediately. Vicki tells him not to give up hope because she hasn’t. They should meet sometime. Hopefully under better circumstances, yada, yada. Yes. Crotchya’s there. Her fiancé brought her. Who? Bruno. Victoria takes a minute to let that troublesome tidbit sink in. They say their polite good-byes and hang up. Crotchya comes in to the room right afterward.

TA tells Crotchya that he was just talking to Sra. Lombardo who called because she was worried about her. The brat calls her a nosy old whore who treats her son like trash. When the old guy asks how she could dare say something so rude, she tells him how Vicki got pregnant by her lover and that Bruno was the result. “That’s pretty shameless, wouldn’t you say?” The old guy wasn’t exactly expecting his young grand-niece to be privy to this kind of Peyton Place backgrounder, let alone having her mouth off so matter-of-factly to him about it. (Times have changed, old man! Get your groove on!) She struts away while he turns five different shades of red and waits for the old ticker to slow back down.

Time passes. Days go by. The Castaways continue to build their raft. They fish, eat, swim, work on their tans, sleep and dream about home. FF>>

The hearing for the challenge to the will starts a few days later. Vicki corners Bruno right before they go in to see the judge and she accuses him of tricking her over the business with the will. He plays dumb and blames it all on greedy Raquel.

Back at the manse, meanwhile, Mary Jo informs Paula and Papa Smurf, aka Papi Pedro, about her divorce. The good news–at least for Pau—is that Alex left MJ everything as part of the divorce settlement. Material Sis is all smiles. Neon $$$ signs gleam in her eyes.

In downtown Merida at the hearing, Dr. Hernan testifies that Antonio Lombardo was in full control of his faculties at the time of his accidental death and that he never showed signs, in his medical opinion, of being otherwise. Bruno’s lawyers accuse Hernan of favoritism towards Sra. Lombardo since he’s been a family friend for years. Bruno secretly cheers as Hernan is forced to admit that he knew about Antonio’s adulterous affair with Vicki but covered for Antonio. (Like he was supposed to sever his professional or personal relationship over that? Tsk. Tsk.)

Days pass. At a second hearing, the two bribed board members claim that they have proof Antonio was mentally incompetent. They claim he was making absurd business decisions and suffered wild mood swings. Vicki’s lawyers argue that Dr. Hernan’s medical opinion should hold more weight with the court than unqualified observations from Rocas or the other board member. The judge disagrees and says Dr. Hernan’s testimony wasn’t objective due to his friendship with the family. Bruno has a nasty smile on his face. He’s sure he’s got this case in the bag now.

Meanwhile, across town at Maura’s palatial Think Pink! pad, she and Lisset are discussing Victoria’s legal situation. Mau’s worried that Vicki will lose the case without Alex there to take charge of things. She tells Lis that if Alex really is dead, then Bruno had something to do with it. Alex mentioned something to her about his suspicions. Anyway, Bruno’s crafty and Vicki’s no match for him she thinks. It’s a shame Alex isn’t there because she’s sure he’d be giving Bruno a real run for his money.

Back at the hearing, Bruno’s attorneys don’t want to wait any longer for Alex to return. They ask for Alex to be considered deceased and to have Antonio’s will changed and his fortune divided up in equal parts with his other (now) legitimatized heirs. Vicki’s lawyers object, saying they must legally wait for a full year before declaring someone dead. The judge says he understands that Alex left his fortune to his heirs before he went missing. Surprise #1! Bruno is caught-with-his-pants-down-impactado. Lic. Quiñones clarifies to the judge that if Alex is declared dead, he has no widow. Bruno says that’s crazy and tells him Mary Jo is his widow. Surprise #2!! Vicki’s other lawyer informs the judge that Alex divorced her two months ago and gave his entire fortune, all his holdings, and half the house to her as part of the settlement. Consequently, there’s no inheritance to divvy up.

Bruno is WTF impactadissimo! It’s pure chaos now as Bruno jumps to his feet, mad as a whole swarm of hornets, and claims that Alex is either dead or hiding out to avoid the trial. “If he’s really hiding then that is fraud!” (Viewerville is on its feet, cheering and clapping.) He wants justice! Raquel screams at her mother for allowing it to happen. Vicki stares blankly at her and says nothing. Hernan’s watching Bruno’s reaction. He’s smiling like the Cheshire cat who just pounced on a rat seeing El Bruto get a royal screw job. Victoria now defends herself and says she and MJ haven’t heard a word from Alex and are still worried sick about what’s happened to him. Bruno yells “Liar!” The judge calls for order and demands Bruno show some respect for his mother! Bruno zips it real quick. (A second cheer goes up from Viewerville, though there’s a silent hope that somehow he gets charged with contempt and thrown in the slammer anyway.) Raquel jumps up now. (Whack-a-mole, anyone?) She angrily demands that MJ be called in to testify because she doesn’t believe one word of anything Vicki’s lawyer has said. LQ presents the signed agreement to the judge as proof. (Take that, you greedy, grumbling bitch with a bad dye job!)

The story comes out in the papers the next day. Mau reads it to Lis. Mau bemoans the fact that poor Victoria is being touted as a whore while MJ’s gotten everything: the company, the properties and half ownership of the mansion. She can’t believe it’s come to this! Lamebrain Lis, though, is bored with it all. Mau figures Bruno didn’t lie and makes a mental note that he told her Alex was getting a divorce. Lis yawns and heads in for breakfast. Mau goes too. FF>>

Another week or two passes. At the next hearing Mary Jo is there. The judge asks Mary Jo if she and Alex Lombardo married with communal property rights, i.e., share and share alike. She confirms that they did. He recognizes that that being the case, she ought to have gotten only half. MJ states that Alex wanted it that way because they loved each other. The judge asks why they divorced if they loved each other. Mary Jo turns towards Bruno with hate in her eyes. She replies because Bruno demanded it. She stands up and becomes extremely agitated and then lets Bruno have it between the legal eagle eyeballs. She tells the judge that she and her child were at death’s door. She turns accusingly toward Bruno and screams at him. “You were the only one who could give blood! Alex begged you to do it, but you wouldn’t till he agreed to divorce me!!” She turns back to the judge. “Alex, as a man of his word, did it and complied.” (Don’t ya just wonder how Judge Judy would handle Bruno after testimony like that?) Bruno yells back at her that she’s crazy. He swears he did it out of the kindness of his heart. (Viewerville starts screaming at the screen. “Liar, liar, pants on fire!”) Mary Jo answers back that he told her himself what he did to Alex. He turns to his Mama and whines for some emotional back-up, but she refuses. Surprise #3!!! Mama tells him she heard him herself telling Mary Jo what he did! Everybody’s in shock. Bruno screams at the judge that they’re both lying. He yells now that he hates her as much as he hates Alex. (Like “Nannie, nannie, boo-boo!” goes really far in a court of law, Bruno.)

The judge calls for a recess to discuss it with the lawyers. “This new information puts a new spin on the situation.” Raqui rushes over to Bruno in the hallway after and bitches him out for not telling her the truth. He tells her Alex isn’t the only one who can play dirty. “Anyway, this whole hearing has been nothing but a pile of crap!” The crap-meister in chief stomps off.

Back inside the hearing the judge tells the lawyers that he’s not inclined to believe Bruno Lombardo has a case any longer in light of the new testimony. He suggests to Bruno’s lawyers that they convince him to stop before the case becomes any more complicated. In plain lingo, Bruno had better quit while he’s ahead. LQ reminds the judge that even if MJs testimony were false, the divorce settlement is solid. So, there’s nothing to challenge any longer. The judge agrees.

Bruno’s lawyers come out and tell him that Mary Jo’s claim to the fortune is solid and this changes the whole situation. There’s nothing more they can do. Raquel gripes in frustration that nobody knew anything about any of it. Bruno says as far as he’s concerned, Alex is hiding out somewhere and avoiding facing him in court. He wants blood.

Back in Boonieland, Porferio commiserates with his old pal, Nando’s TA, and remarks that the good always die young while the old farts are left to carry on. A minute later Elena appears and greets her ex-FIL with a forced smile. She pours herself a drink or three and chatters on about her current hubby’s terrific work at the clinic. Porfe glares at her. He could give a rat’s patooty about Jorge the Doctor. TA mentions Fer’s supposed death and having Crotchya with him now. Elena remembers her as a little girl with braids or something. He complains that she’s grown up and he doesn’t know what to do with her. She doesn’t care to do much of anything and sits around all day with her phone stuck to her ear like a 5th appendage. Porfe suggests Elena could take her for an ice-cream at the mall or something. TA says she’s a bit old for that, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea if Elena could hang with her for a little bit of female- to-female quality time. Elena struggles to hide a grimace behind a triple-shot of tequila. She says sure, she could try it if that’s what the old guy would like.

Porfe asks about Sandra. Elena gives him a line about her doing fine and says she and Jorge were thinking of going to bring her back, but there’s been no time to because of the demands of the clinic. Blah, blah, blah. Porfe pretty much tells her to cut the crap. He knows Elena could care less about his granddaughter; and her husband, Jorge, might as well not even know she exists! (Lovely old man, isn’t he?) He threatens Elena that if Sandra hasn’t been properly raised and demonstrates otherwise, Elena and Jorge won’t inherit a single centavo from him. As for Jorge and his clinic, it can rot! He stomps out of the room. TA pours Elena another drink. (Easy to see why she’s always got a glass in her hand around the old buzzard!)

Meanwhile, back on Gilligan’s island, Alex goes for a swim and remembers his romantic time in the ocean with Mary Jo.

Elena goes to the clinic to speak with Jorge and tell him what’s just happened with Porferio. Jorge could give a rap. He blames Elena for everything wrong with Sandra. He tells her It’s her problem. Elena caused it, so she can deal with it. The slime-bucket throws her out of his office.

Outside again, Elena calls Sandra’s number but finds out it has been disconnected. She calls one of Sandra’s friends trying to find out if the girl knows anything. (We note the Alice Cooper/Kiss groupie attire, complete with black and blue make-up, scruffy coiffeur, body rings and tats. For a couple of seconds, Viewerville allows itself to sympathize with Elena’s predicament—but only a couple.) The girl is thumbing through fashion magazines (why, when she’s dressed like that, escapes me) and she does not appreciate having her quality reading time interrupted. She rudely tells Elena that Sandra returned to Mexico a week or so ago. She has no idea where she is and no, she doesn’t have her new phone number. Elena’s back to square one.

Mary Jo and Vicki return to the manse. MJ goes upstairs, lies down on her bed and cries. Pau hears her and comes in to see what happened with the judge --and the money. MJ says she doesn’t care. She’d give it all away just to have Alex back again. Pau tells her that’s a lost cause. He’s gone. She needs to realize it and get on with her life. Mary Jo refuses and says she’ll never give up on him coming back. Never!

Across the hall, Felipa has come in to see Vicki and ask about the results of the hearing. Vicki tells her about MJ’s testimony and Bruno’s dumbfounded reaction. Felipa says it serves him right for all the crap he’s pulled. She then convinces Vicki it’s time to face facts about Alex and Fernando and suggests they have a memorial mass there “to commend their souls to God.”

Outside on the grounds, Raqui (definitely the kind o’ gal a guy is glad to know married the other chump) is giving Roberto the low-down on her low-life brother’s reversal of fortunes at the hearing. Bottom line: MJ got everything due to the divorce settlement he signed before he went missing, and they get bupkis. Bobo is let-me-get-this-straight-impactado. They head inside while he gets his head around that and the she-dog howls about Vicki’s complicity in it all. Bobo taunts his other half, saying that Uli will be dumping her once he learns they lost the case. She pours herself a tall drink. She’s dying to know who her supposed competition is. Bobo makes a proposition. “Give me back the use of my credit cards and I’ll tell you.” He goes into the bedroom. Raqui screams at him for being the ultimate jerkwad.

Elena, meanwhile, decides to call Uli for a confab. She tells him Sandra’s back in Mexico now, but she doesn’t know where. They’ve got to discuss it in person with him. He agrees.

Somewhere else in Merida, Bruno has a chat with Erick to tell him about the hearing. He tells Erick his suspicion that Alex is hiding out somewhere. He suddenly changes the subject and asks if Erick knows what’s going on with Paula. Buttlick pulls a blank because he’s not been allowed back to the manse since he got fired. Bruto screams at him to do a little investigating then. “That’s what I pay you for!!” Erick is left to figure out something.

Paula and Arturo are dropping off Gabriel at the mall. Soon he won't have to use his cane at all. Gabe gets out and thanks her for the lift. He decides to apologize for lying about her to the authorities and explains why he did it. She grudgingly accepts his apology. No harm. No foul. But, as she and Artie drive off, she says what those two pulled on her was unpardonable even for God. Art says something like God always forgives. She reminds him that she’s not God.

El Broodo pays Mama a visit to complain about her part in what happened at the hearing. “Alex is hiding out! You know he did this just to get my goat! He’s laughing at me right now behind my back!” Yada, yada, yada…. Vicki ignores him and lets her thoughts about love drown him out. Bruno continues the harangue about MJ having everything and leaving her nothing. He rants on that if she thinks things are bad now, just wait. Without money and all the luxuries she’s accustomed to, life will really be a drag. She isn’t listening though. She doesn’t care. He realizes this when he finally pauses to take a breath. He asks if she’s heard a word he’s said. She says no. She doesn’t want to listen to anything he has to say. “--Well, then, that’s your problem!” He storms out of the room.

More time passes. Another hearing takes place, but this time Vicki and Mary Jo aren’t there. LQ says they’re grieving for Alex and Fernando and can’t bring themselves to appear at this hearing. The judge finds for Bruno and Raquel in that he believes Antonio was not competent when making out his will. Hernan’s and Rocas’ shares will not change. What was left to Victoria, however, is all that can be divvied up with Bruno and Raqui because the divorce settlement is also valid. Raquel is beside herself. She wants to challenge the divorce settlement because, she says, Alex had no right to give away what belonged to her and Bruno. The judge says that, as it appears, Alex was simply securing his child’s future, so the agreement stands. He won’t agree to a challenge of the divorce settlement. (Too bad. So sad. No mon, honeybun!) Bruno isn’t ready to give in so soon. He asks what would happen if the kid is actually his.

At the same time, Elena shows up at Uli’s –or rather, Raquel’s—apartment to discuss the details about the predicament with Sandra. She tells him that she called Sandra’s best friend in Spain and was told Sandra had left Spain over a week ago and came back to Mexico. Uli, a guy who has made living off other people’s credit cards a fine art, suggests they can locate her from her credit card receipts. All Elena needs to do is to go to the bank and explain she’s the one paying the bills and then demand to see a record of the current charges. He’ll do the rest, he says. The doorbell rings. It’s Mau and Bobo come to discuss the latest gossip about Raquel and Bruno. He introduces them to Elena, who then explains that she’s his fiance’s mother and that she has known Uli for just about forever. Mau and Bobo exchange looks. (Definitely an eyebrow raiser.) Mau teases Uli about not knowing who the lucky girl is that he’s been hiding from them all this time. While he and Elena go over to the bar to fix some drinks, Bobo whispers a few of the choice details about Sandra to Mau and says that she’s apparently the spittin’ image of Maria Jose. Mau is elated to have some new and delicious gossip. She wonders if Elena could be MJ’s mother. Bobo just smiles conspiratorially at her.

Back at Casa de Lobos, the rest of the family holds a memorial service for Alex and Fer.

Speaking of Crusoe and Friday, they finally have their makeshift raft ready and set out to sea. Suddenly there’s a helicopter above and they begin waiving and screaming in hopes the pilot will see them. He does. (It’s a good thing, too, because that raft was about as sea-worthy as a sieve.) The helicopter lands. They hug the pilot, who immediately puts the three of them inside it. Alex and Nando give a prayer of thanks as they take off and head back to home and civilization --or what passes for it in loco Lombardo-land.

[The next two Fridays are both holidays, so obviously there won’t be anything to recap. Here’s hoping you all have a terrific holiday season and a happy and prosperous new year! —ed.]

Another wonderful recap, J. I love the way that nothing much happens on the island (until the rescue at the end of the episode) but that all hell is breaking loose in Mexico.

I get a kick out of Fernando's many tatoos. Conflicts with our sense of him as a rather stolid and boring man who would date someone significantly older -- not quite the twice his age that Katia claims but much older.

Excellent as always, Jardinera. It was especially amazing as you said you did it off YouTube.

I was loving seeing Bruno hoist with his own petard at the hearing. I replayed MJ telling the judge Alex had divorced her to keep his word to Bruno a couple of times. And the clincher was the fact that his mamá said she'd heard him say it.

The helicopter was odd since they'd said that the DR Search and Rescue team had called off looking for them. I was actually hoping they'd show their re-appearance last night, but of course they have to make us wait for that.

Bruno's repeated claims that Alex was hiding somewhere during the legal proceedings made no sense. The outcome would have been the same if Alex had been sitting in the courtroom. The divorce and property settlement happened before Raquel filed contesting the will, thus Bruno is still screwed. I loved seeing how enraged he was that his smart half brother had completely outwitted him.

Jardinera, what a great recap and done under difficult conditions to boot. I've finally caught back up with Sortilegio after being absent for awhile. We got back from Isla Mujeres last Fri and I've been trying to catch up. I did manage to read the recaps but was not able to stay up with all the comments. (This is a very popular place.)

I know that Maura has not been exactly a favorite here, but doesn't she dress well? I loved her outfit last night. Am I wrong or is she maybe becoming one of the good guys?

I got a little chuckle from Alec last night. Here he's been struggling to survive on this island, is finally rescued, and as he is climbing aboard the helicopter, still has the good manners to pause to dust the sand from the bottoms of his bare feet. Yet another trait that must endear him to you ladies.

Thanks again Jardinera. Even though I've not commented the last couple of weeks, I never miss your recaps. They are golden. I truly admire your style.

Carlos

Jardinera wonderful and funny recap as always.

Maura's Think Pink pad that's a good one.

Bruno you played dirty had two of the board of directors lie and say that Antonio did not have his full faculties when he made up the will.

Alex used the legal system to screw and your mad cow of a sister too funny.

Then Miss greedy had the nerve to call MJ into the proceedings, big mistake that was.

Especially when she told the judge why she had to divorce her husband.
Mama Vicki backed her up to LOL with glee.

Then he still ranting and raving and foaming at the mouth because he gets nothing.Vicki is just sitting there in her own little world. He asks you're not listening to me? Shocking she tells him no i'm not listening to what you have to say.

I was laughing throughout this whole episode.

I don't like that Bruno had Pimp Daddy E go check out what Paula is doing.

The expression on Vicki face when see saw for herself the greed and how horrible her twins are as people i think and hope will finally convince her to never believe Bruno ever again.

This was a good episode and Jardinera spot on with the description of Hernan's Cheshire cat smile. When they learned Alex gave everything to MJ.

Heck i was smiling like that myself too. As for those two scummy board members i hope they can be removed from the board of directors.

Traveling lady: I bet No-No-Nando is full of surprises. Too bad they'll be wasted on the Oedipal love interest. ; ? P
============
Novelera: I was really scared about not catching enough stuff because of poor quality sound, but I switched between 3 or 4 posters who did some decent uploads. (Brow wiping here!) You better believe I called the cable company early this A.M. and arranged for a new package. I ended up with HD, internet and phone for less than what I get from the phone co. and the cable company separately. This should have happened to me a year ago! ; > )

Carlos! Home from the hill, I see! I started to wonder if I'd been too rough on my favorite medicine man and chased him away! I checked in to read Hombre's wonderfully enticing recap last week and saw you'd gone on a second honeymoon, you sly dog. 39th anniversary, is it? I'm holding on 34 and waiting for 35. I've been to Isla de Mujeres twice. This last time --on the company trip I won-- Hubby and I went native to the north side of the island by ferry. Got to practice my Spanish big-time. Great place! Very romantic and typically thoughtful of you. I'm sure Linda forgot all about Elvis, huh!

What a fantastic recap to curl up to on a snowy day indoors. :) Thanks Jardinera! And the fact that you managed it off of You Tube is impressive.

Three tiny corrections- I think the judge said two months, not two weeks about how long ago the divorce became finalized (when MJ had a tiny belly, versus the watermellon she has now); Paula and Auturo dropped Gabe off at his physical therapy at the hospital, and he said soon he won't have to use the cane at all; and Elena said she called Sandra's best friend in Madrid (hence the crappy Spanish lisp), not Merida.

My two favorite scenes of the evening were MJ's showdown with Bruno in the judge's chambers (I cheered very loudly), and Vicky blocking Bruno completely out as he ranted, coming up with new poems for her book in her head. Lol! This was not Bruno's episode. ;) I think all this family strife and longing for a younger man has actually given Vicky great material for her book of poetry.

And I laughed so hard when I saw how un-seaworthy that raft that they had been working on all those months was. I think they spent too much time playing in the waves, and not enough time thinking back to the basic engeneering that surely the two of them must have learned in college. They should have put Charlie in charge of the raft.

"I know that Maura has not been exactly a favorite here, but doesn't she dress well? I loved her outfit last night. Am I wrong or is she maybe becoming one of the good guys?"

No because once Alex reappears, and now that everyone knows that Alex divorced MJ, Maura will be up in his grill again ---unless money is the only reason she was with Alex. Since he has none anymore, that might take some of the shine off his luster.

Bruno sit yo ass down! YOUR ORIGINAL PLAN was for MJ to marry Alex, for Alex to die and for MJ to get all the money. Everything worked out the way you planned, just not the way you wanted it.

I think judging by the flipping of the calendar pages and all the "days later" it's been about 2 months since Alex and Fer and Cogui disappeared. I think that's what one of the captions said anyway.

I was chuckling at the funeral because Alex will just show up the next day, just like he did in the beginning of the show!

I wonder if somehow Elena will find MJ and force MJ to stand in for Sandra at Porfiro's house?

Loved the recap Jardinera. I loved the looks of Raquel and Bruno's faces when they realized that Alex outsmarted them. Too funny. Enough of Bruno rehashing that lie that he's the baby's father. Grrr. So we know now that Sandra is in Mexico. Let the games begin of who will find her first. LOL at Vicky daydreaming of love completely ignoring Bruno's rant. I'm glad that the adventures of Sortilegio Island have come to an end and the boys are on their way back home to get cleaned up, shaved, and maybe rub some lotion on their sunburns. Alex was so happy he almost got on the pilot's side of the helicopter. I hope we'll see Charlie again since he was very helpful with healing Fer's wound and providing food for them.

That's right Jardinera. The next two Fridays are holidays. Until we meet again, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Happy Holidays everybody.

ViviDC: Thanks very much! I made the corrections and hope it all flows better now. Wrapping presents so will be back later.

Anon 5:24 yes that was Bruno original plan,But he never thought MJ was as honest as she is.

Also MJ has now truly fallen head over heels in love with Alex and there is no way he can sweet talk her at all.

Throw in the threat of being jailed for the fraud marriage and Paula's fake hit and run. Bruno is way out of luck.Yeah he needs to sit his schemimg behind down

For him to keep saying MJ baby could be his at the meeting. Bruno E. Coyote he never stops trying to get his ultimate goal.

Love how Roberto rubbed it in Raqhell face about Useless dumping her once he finds out she won't get anymore money.

Way to perform under pressure, Jardinera. Great as usual. Wedding paper dolls, lollipop goo...you don't like Katia d'ya? Well, who could.

Whack-a-Mole, Judge Judy, Nannie nannie boo boo...You were in fine form.

We'll all miss having you jazz up our Saturday afternoons for the next two weeks, but enjoy the holiday...and may the New Year bring you nothing but joy.

Another Saturday full of watching Sorti... I got caught up on all this week's episodes while drinking coffee and wrapping Christmas presents (except for during the beach scenes - wrapping's not so easy while staring at the tv...). Thanks to everyone for the awesome recaps this week!

I loved seeing how mad Bruno and Raquel got when they found out they weren't getting anything! (or barely anything, anyway).

And I can't believe that Alex and Fer were going to try and take that raft anywhere. It was mostly underwater and they'd barely left shore! That helicopter showed up just in time...

carebear

Judy, you just had to ask, didn't you?

"Wedding paper dolls, lollipop goo...you don't like Katia d'ya? Well, who could?"

You already knew who could. I think that Katia is just as cute as can be and because of her history and tender age, I'm ready to cut her a lot of slack. Granted, she has achieved sluthood status in record time but she did cry genuine tears over her brother's death. I certainly hate seeing her mixed up with Bruno, however, and I'm guessing it's almost certain that she is now carrying his demon spawn. Nevertheless, I'm going to be in her corner... at least until she kills someone.

Carlos

Anon.5:24PM - Nifty idea about using MJ to sub for Sandra instead of the other way around. I thought Sandra and Bruno might eventually hook up to cause some grief.
============
JudyB: LOL! I figure I must be learnin' somethin' if a foreign language prof gives me an atta-girl after walking a tightrope without a net like that! It's every bit as scary as taking a final exam. LOL! ; > ))
==========
Pirate Babe/Carebear: I'm certain you two wouldn't mind helping Alex with that sunburn, now would you? LOL!

Thank you for the excellent recap, Jardinera. Putting Looneyvision on a “Premium” digital package is an oxymoron. Nor should they even be in the same sentence. Aaaauuuggggh! Who is your provider? I hope it's not Comcr*p, or I'm next. They know how to squeeze more $$ out of us, don't they?!

How much do y’all want to bet that once Victoria meets Fernando's T. A., she dumps Fer for a more age-appropriate boyfriend---the T.A.?

I would love to see Judge Judy put Bruno in his place.

I would love it if Roberto told Raqhell that her competition with Uli is himself. (Roberto)

Why didn't MJ tell the judge et al the whole story of Bruno's fake marriage with her while he told her HE is Alex, etc.? Did I miss something here?

Oh Carlos! You and your bad girls. Lol! Maybe you should be stranded on an island with Raquel, Katia, Maura, and Constanza (Gancho). Then throw in Gardenia (MEPS) and Ximena (Gancho) to give you some relief once in a while from those bad girls you love so much. ;)

-Vivi in DC

JudyB: Of course! (Insert slap to my forehead.) Our Walter Middy, Carlos, is always ready to walk on the wild side with a fiendish and freakazoid female. LOL!
=============
Carlos: I can't wait till Sandra shows up. I can only imagine, especially if her best friend is any indication (minus whips and chains --or maybe not).

Vivi, I can't help it. But heck, I've heard that there are girls who are attracted to the naughty boys as well.

Ahhh, another delightfully funny recap, Comadre Jardinera! I'm glad you got your tele issues in better order. Wish I could do something different with mine, but that's another story.

Carlos, I did notice how carefully Alex got in the helicopter, trying to knock off some of the sand. So nice.

That raft was pitiful. I think Charlie, or almost anyone else could have done a better job. It was sinking as Alex was trying to sit on it.

I liked Anon's guess that MJ might be standing in for Sandra. It's always easier for the civilized to pretend to be uncivilized, than the other way around. She would just have to be herself...
jb

Doris: I've got un-Charter'd. I feel like they pulled a fast one cuz every year they take 2 or 3 decent basic channels and move them to the expensive column. I normally wouldn't have cared, but Looneyvision is the only Spanish channel we're given.

Anyhoo, you're right that Raqhell will get the surprise of her life when she finds out she's been competing with Bobo for Uli's affections. I can't figure Bobo out, either, because if he likes women, why screw around with Ulises? It does not compute for me.

Vivi, if you add Ruth (from FELS) I'll cash in my IRA (Sorry Linda) and throw in my mama's farm (sorry Andrea). Can't help it. The bad girls are almost always a heap more interesting, entertaining, and almost more admirable than the anemic, whimpering, indecisive girly-women whom we're supposed to invest our emotions in for months on end.

Jardinera, bring on Sandra!

Carlos

Hey Dr. Carlos, what's your take on Sandra and MJ's bosomy and oh so slutty mom? As the French would say "Il y a du monde au balcon" and in her case, there's so much she seemed about to tip over in this episode.

Another redeemable naughty lady? Or just landscape?

JudyB: OMG! ROFLOL!

Comadre jb! I had to rewind that raft scene in the ocean a couple of times to figure out if they were seriously going to try their luck with that thing or just playing around when the copter showed up. That was just plain nut-z.

Dr Judy, Mary Jo's and Sandra's mom is someone I've lusted after in many TN's. She is one of the earthiest most beautiful women I've ever seen. I can't remember which show, but she was an ultimate Mrs. Robinson. I love the way she looks and I love her voice which to me seems a bit smoky. If she were to light up, I'd be hopelessly seduced.

Carlos, you remind me of the old adage,
"Good girls go to heaven.
Bad girls go everywhere."
(grins)

Come to think of it, maybe Victoria might like Porferio instead of Fer's TA if she ever meets him. Maybe she could tame the rabid dog in the old S.O.B.

I'm super late, and I've been so anxious to read this recap, which was definetely worth the wait. As always, marvelous job, Jardinera. Love everything you wrote about the court scenes. :-)

Finally our survivors get some help! Gracias por el Dios.

Bruno's nonstop evil schemes and stupid assertions are insane. How can he insist and say what if the child is his. That guy has a lot of nerves. That's a big understatement.

LOL, I think our Caray men are a lot nicer than our girls. So much sympathy for everyone.

Such a funny recap. For me, it even harder to understand the youtube versions, so that's pretty impressive.

I like the idea earlier that MJ might be used to sub in for Sandra in order to get PF's money. It's kind of a twist on what we thought would happen. She would have to be forced to do it. Maybe Uli and Bruno will collaborate on that one, since Bruno will now need to seek out a new source of cash.

On a different note, I tried to find a similar type of forum on telenovelas in Spanish but couldn't find anything as good. They were all photos and other crap that just slowed down my computer or made me nauseous with all of the animation. (I did however find a brief discussion about the shorts conundrum). Does anyone know of any good forums similar to ours but in spanish? Not that I won't be visiting this site. I just want to increase my oppty's to learn spanish.

thanks.
flaquita

Thank you for the very funny recap. You did an amazing job considering what you were dealing with. Both sons were walking in the door from college just as the show came on, so needless to say, I missed huge junks of the episode. You filled it all in for me.
I missed MJ's full smack down of Bruno, but my, how our shy little girl has grown. Had to feel a bit sorry for Vicki. No matter how she had a hand in letting her evil duo get to where they are as grown-ups, it had to be hard to see just how selfish and down-right out of control they are. But as any self-respecting mother when children are throwing a tantrum does, she is finally just tuning them out. Wake up kiddies, mommy's not caring ant more. Go outside and get lost somewhere.
And our romping Beach Boys have finally been rescued. Dang. Shower scene anyone?? And I agree about the sea-worthiness of that raft.I worried about that on the last episode. What amazes me is that Alex and Fer are architects...I mean really guys. You BUILD things. Hopefully their clients won't ever see their attempts at that raft.
I'm sure our heroes will make their grand entrance next week to much female rejoicing and Bruno's sour puss snarling. This should be good.
D

Hmm, if Antonio's will was overturned, that means Alex doesn't have to maintain Bruno OR Raquel from the moment he steps foot back in the house, right?

Re: "shower scene" This past week I saw an old favorite of mine, the Kenneth Branagh/Emma Thompson version of "Much Ado About Nothing." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIACPr5XEQM
(You might be able to watch the whole thing on YouTube)

I happened to catch it on a cable channel (ENCRL{Encore-Love}). Truly delightful and worth watching even if you're not a Shakespeare fan. But I digress . . .

There is a bathing scene, early in the movie, that gave me FELS flashbacks. (Hooray!) ;o) It will be shown on ENCRL channel again, on Tuesday night 10 p.m. CST.

I was wondering about the housing maintenance issues too. Bruno still owns half the house, so they need to get rid of him somehow. I'm guessing more fighting scenes with Alex down the road.

I think Sandra's mother is one of the most unappealing actresses I've ever seen. The few small parts I've seen her in, didn't impress. IMO she's very unattractive, but I like her voice...
jb

Doris: I've seen every Shakespearean thing those two have done together, and then some. It was a great movie! Thanks! // Hey, OT - I've been making Tenn. Sausage Balls, in case either you or SandyTN know what I'm talking about. I picked up the recipe while living in Chattanooga years ago. The hubby and kids demand them every year aboout now. So, needless to say, I was thinking of you two here. : > )

Jardinera, excellent recap and using Youtube to do it? I watch youtube and I can't make out any of the spanish. Maybe the laptop doesn't have good sound or maybe it is the youtube itself. You sure cover everything. Regarding MJ standing in for Sandra, I had thought Sandra would be standing in for MJ, which was my initial suggestion. Bruno to get sandra to say she is MJ and marry her, just like he said he was Alex, the first time around. But now someone suggested that MJ might be forced to fill in. Just that comment made my heart start pounding. I get really upset over these novelas and sometimes I have to avoid the tv and look at the recaps first, to determine if I can take it to review the soap. Sometimes I turned the sound of and sometimes I just listen to what is said, in which I only get a few words, but the jist of the show. This way I don't get the full impact. Don't know why I do this, when I know that in novelaland the two stars get together in the end. Ret

Jardinera, thanks for another very funny recap. You have all sorts of great descriptive names for the bad girls such as Little Miss Clinging Vine for Katia, Grumbling Bitch with the Bad Dye Job for Raquel, Lamebrain Lis for Lisette, and lots more (you also have great names for the guys).

I'm with Carlos on being attracted to the bad girls. I've previously voiced my opinion of Maura, and in this episode I noticed that Lisette had the most beautiful green eyes. Maura has beautiful dark eyes.

And yes, I like the others, too. That desert island Vivi mentioned sounds pretty good right now, since we have about 18 inches of snow here in Baltimore.

Not that it matters, given Alex and MJ's brilliant scheme, but I don't see how some stockholders like Rojas are qualified to testify as to another stockholder's mental capacity 20 years earlier. And if they thought Antonio's mental capacity was so diminished that he couldn't make a will, how did they let him run the company, and why didn't they say anything then?

I don't want to see Vicky with Tio Abuelo (what is his name, anyway? I know his last name is Alanis). He seems to old for her. I see her as about 48, and he's close in age to Don Portifiro, who said he was 80.

jb: I believe that Bruno doesn't own half the mansion, amiga. Vicki and MJ do now. He got the house in Cancún which he can rent out and a generous living allowance from Alex before --but that may be up in the air now that MJ's in charge of all that cashflow! On the other hand, Vicki's shares and the house (I believe) are open to discussion since the judge said what she inherited could be divided. But since I didn't have CC and used YouTube I might be wrong and it was only her company stock shares up for redivvy.

Hombre: You are the romantic here amongst us! You brought up some good points of contention regarding the trial testimony for Rojas re: Antonio. Time constraints of the script I suppose, so beanies need also to be tightened here. Anyway, the judge kept shutting Vicki down. I'd have been too uptight to think on my feet like that, myself.
======
Ret: You have got to loosen the beanie and listen to the whole thing even if it's disturbing. You miss too much otherwise! LOL!
===========
Cielo/Anon.: you and hubby were tracking about Bruno being Wil E. Timex. Hubby says he's the energizer bunny who just keeps on truckin'. You can't knock the guy down that he doesn't come up with another hare-brained scheme to get what he's after.
========
Flaquita: Welcome! You'll just have to keep Googling --but try adding Spanish language in the description. I only know about Univision fan sites and they are filled with teenaged girls who love to put artwork in that slows your system down a lot.
============
D: Welcome, also! Glad to help you fill in those blanks. Had to LOL reading your comment about that crappy raft and Alex and Fer being architects. Too funny!

Thanks for clarifying Comadre Jardinera, all that legal talk was difficult to follow and even understand on my tele.

Ret, just remember to detach, don't let them suck you into the telenovela vortex of absurdness...
jb

Jardinera y anon 12:22. Thank you for the feedback. I had this problem when I watched General Hospital and Dark Shadows, when my daughters were little. I finally gave it up and they are nothing compared to the spanish soaps. Maybe because we complete a story in about 6-12 months and everything has to fit into that timeframe; whereas american soaps continue indefinately, therefore they do not appear as intense. Yes, I do miss a lot by my malproductive coping skills related to soap operas. ROTF

Jardineria,

Thanks again for one of your fantastic, well written and superbly entertaining recaps. So many comments already, but for me the cutest line was your description of Paula’s smile on learning about MJ’s “inheritance”. “Material Sis is all smiles. Neon $$$ signs gleam in her eyes,” such an accurate description!

Tennessee sausage balls, hummmmm. I know sausage pin wheels but not sausage balls. If we ever get our recipe page up and running, that would be a good entry. There is a restaurant here that specializes in home made sausages that they serve for dinner!

Hombre, I think both Lissette and Maura are very beautiful as well. The other day some of us talked about the fact that the gal playing Maura is a VERY good actress. I like her clothes as well.

D, good comment on the fact that both Alex and Fernando are architects and built the most unseaworthy raft of all times. Also, once when all were frolicking in the water, I could see a big swimmable body of land on the horizon!!

Methinks the boys here love Shakespeare that's why they're so attracted to the bad girls.

Something along the lines of Taming of the Shrew.

I wonder what the novela would have been like if JB had played Maura and the actress playing Maura had played MJ? There would have been a lot of smoldering chemistry in that scenario.

Just thinking out loud here!

Sandy i was thinking the same thing several months ago that Ana Brenda who plays Maura may have been a better choice to play MJ.

I don't know if JB has ever been cast as a villain though.

Jaqui has never played a villain but I would like to see her as one, I think that she is much better when the character she plays becomes strong and fights for something, as an innocent sweet girl she becomes very plain. This is Ana Brenda's first villain (unless we count Mujeres Asesinas) she is in the run for a protagonic right now with the producer of ENDA.

I have to defend Azela Robinson, she was pretty great in Cañaveral de Pasiones were she played a very complex character check her out here she appears from 2:19 to the end and that scene is one of the most popular telenovela scenes ever.

Jarocha

Thanks, Jarocha, for your comment on Azela Robinson. I mostly remember her from El Manantial, where she played Adela Noriega's alcoholic mother. She was sorta bad in that she cheated on Adela's good guy father, Cesar Evora. They killed Cesar off early. I thought she was very good in that role. I saw parts of another one - Contra Marea y Viento - where she was really evil. The galan was Sebastián Rulli and the heroine Marlene (can't remember her last name). I read online that Azela's father is English and her mother Mexican.

Jarocha: Azela has always been a favorite of mine. She's not quite the beauty queen we have come to expect, but she can carry any role she's given it seems and make it realistic. IMHO she did a pretty good job portraying Elena's discomfort around Porfe. JMHO y'all.
============
SandyTN: I'd love that pinwheel recipe. I'm not real good at fancy shmancy cookin' generally, but hubby and son are terrific at makin' magic in my kitchen.
=============

Novelera, that's the show I was trying to think of. She was deliciously evil and a very seductive, nearly incestuous bad lady. She may not have the finely etched features or willowy figure that we consider ideal in a woman, but she exudes sensuality and an earth-mother type charm. As I recall, she filled up a bathing suit quite amply. The young man in that TN was certainly smitten. So was I.

Carlos

Jardinera:

What a dandy recap. Thanks so much for your (and all the other beloved recappers') commitment to recapping Caray Caray.I loved your comment about Raqui... "Grumbling Bitch with the Bad Dye Job". Very, very funny observation. I am a redhead by birth and I always cringe when I see that eggplant-burgandy color on a woman's head. IMHO It just doesn't look very good. I read somewhere that red head's are only 5% of the Caucasian population and I think that Caucasians are only a small percentage of the whole population so I wouldn't imagine their are a lot of (natural) redheads to choose from in Mexico. Of course I have seen some fabulous looking woman with red hair straight out of the box...maybe Raqui just needs a new hair guru.

On actress Azela Robinson, I have to agree with the men folk here. I think she is sexy as hell. The wardrobe people have been consistently unkind with their choices for her but I bet you she could be a knockout with the right clothing and hair. Her looks remind me of a woman you would see in a Romantic era painting representing an earth goddess. I think her curves are a knockout and wish we saw more women in television who have beautiful, rounded bodies.

And Hombre and all of you in the NE, stay warm in this dreadful storm.

EJ, checking in very late...

Jardinera - I've never heard of Tennessee Sausage Balls, and I've lived here for 42 years. We have regular old sausage balls. It doesn't come up in Google, either.
Is there a special ingredient? Most of them use Bisquick, cheddar cheese and sausage. My DH from Pittsburgh, PA made them long before I met him, using his mother's recipe.
Methinks you were taken by yon tourism department, o fair lady. ;o)

Novelera: Forgot to mention to you that El Manantial is probably tied with Amarte Es Mi Pecado as my alltime favorite telenovela. Azela was fabulous in that role, as were her co-stars. Those two have been the only two t-n's to catch my interest from the very first episodio. Shucks! Why can't they all be that way?

Doris: They suckered me, huh? Oh noes! LOL! Those are the ones! I've always called 'em that cuz that's what they told me they were. I first learned about them there, and actually, only heard of them ever being made there. Guess the recipe came from Bisquick Betty's 1933 kitchens, or something, huh.
9 ; >

Elna June: “The wardrobe people have been consistently unkind with their choices for her but I bet you she could be a knockout with the right clothing and hair.” Not only are you intuitive, analytical and insightful, but you are VERY kind. You must have a million friends.

Jardinera, my email is sandyt223@gmail.com, I'll be happy to send along the sausage pin wheel recipe.

Elna June: I think red hair is terrific, but for some reason they've got her with this horribly dark stuff and it looked a lighter, prettier shade early on in the show. Too bad, huh!

Oops on the earlier post typo (their for there).

Sandy:
Those are the nicest compliments! Ahhh (see Elna June blushing, kicking her toe in the dirt) Thanks!

And Jardinera, while we are on the topic of hair, maybe when Bracamontes plays Sandra the TN hair and makeup people will take the braids out of her hair. Sandra is supposed to be a Madrid sophisticate, no? When I was last in Madrid (Winter 2008) I thought people were very well dressed and coiffed.

Elna- did you see Sandra's best friend? I don't think sophisticated is the way to describe her...more like punk rock groupie. I don't think braids will be the problem with Sandra. Lol! :)

-Vivi in DC

Elna June: I am dying to see what she looks like as Sandra, because after seeing the best friend, I gotta agree with ViViDC. Madrid's a very 1st world kind of place, true, but Sandra may not be a sophisticate, though Elena would have hoped it would be the case. LOL! Yup. This is one character I'm dying to see.

Oh, Vivi:

I missed the part of the episode where Elena was talking to "Best Friend". Sounds like I missed a key scene.
Punk rock groupie, huh? Boy was I off base!! In Madrid I did see a lot of leather-mini-spiky-torn-hose folks going into the underground club next to my hotel. Can we just see Bracamontes with a safety pin in her nose? ROTFL.
And here I was worried about the braids...

And, Vivi...you all had record breaking snow in DC, yes? I sure hope you are all dug out by now.

I saw those types of club kids in Madris too Elna, and I think Sandra's more along those lines.

Just got the e-mail from my boss a little while ago that our office is closed tomorrow, so another day in for me. My new little Beetle is completely covered, I since I am new to driving (and am originally from the West Coast), I don't yet have any of the tools needed to dig my car out. I asked my father and nephew to get me all of that for Christmas. :) Well, at least I don't need to go anywhere tomorrow, although I still have a few presents to get.

-Vivi in DC

And obviously cabin fever is affecting my ability to type correctly. Sorry for the typos.

-Vivi in DC

Jardinera, despite any YouTube challenges, that was an elegant, eloquent recap. Thanks for persevering. Laughed at the neon $$$ in Paula's eyes. The recap and comments were a joy to read at the end of a busy weekend.
It was great to see Bruno squelched, at least for the moment. Too bad he's never had to work for a living.
Also great to see our beach bums airlifted off the island. I didn't think they could make it on the shaky raft. Good point about architects doing such a poor design job. Maybe their materials were limited?
The sausage balls in NC are the Bisquick, grated cheese and sausage recipe. I often make a batch for Christmas nibbling.
La Paloma

Novelera I think the main girl in Contra Viento Y Marea was Marian Favela. She looks so much like Adela Noriega.

I remember El Manantial, another Carla Estrada product. My family came to visit at the time of the ending and everybody camped in front of the TV to see it. I didn't watch that novela only because of Adela Noriega, she is in my avoid list. Carla Estrada loves Noriega for some reason, she was the one who gave her her first protagonic in 1987 along with Thalia in "Quinceañera" (she looked gorgeous but she was a particularly awful actress at that time, sixteen year old Thalia looked like Meryl Streep next to her and she wasn't that great either) and she has cast her in most of her most important roles in her career (Amor Real, El Manantial, El Privilegio de Amar, María Isabel, Quinceañera). I do like Mauricio Islas and he looked quite handsome in that novela. He is in TV Azteca now.

Jarocha

Jarocha: I guess that's the way the game is played throughout tv land. Choose your favorites and put their faces everywhere.
===========
La Paloma: Didn't NC get slammed with snow, too? At least the cable didn't go out. OT: Yay!! Somebody else makes those silly things too! (I know, I know. Nutty thing for me to get excited about.) First Doris' DH and now, you.

FWIW, I think Bisquick was once considered a food group here in "the South," a couple decades ago.

I finally watched the last 15 minutes of Friday's episode that I had recorded. My 'QTF?' moment was watching Ale trying to stab fish with that fat, blunt stick. There is no way that was going to happen. Perhaps he was hoping to knock them unconscious and wait till they floated to the top?

That raft . . . pathetic. They would surely have been shark food! Kids in OM could have done better.

Fabulous recap Jardinera. Interesting episode. I'm not a big fan of Elena either. I was wondering how she kept from falling over. The puppies were definitely straining to get out of the cage!

That raft was hilarious! And they are architects? The darn thing sank before they could even get on it.

When will people see that Bruno is just plain crazy? If one scheme doesn't work he makes up another one. Surely the Judge and abogados would be catching on by now.

Vivi DC: There's nothing you can do but give up and make snow angels. Enjoy! We, unfortunately, only have about an inch. Not much use except for decorative purposes. Cold as all get-out, though, here. Can't wait for mid week when I head south and exchange ear muffs and mittens for sungees and sandals.

Connie - the abogados aren't going to say a word to Bruno, as long as he's a paying client. They either a) know he's crazy but will keep taking his money, or b) are totally incompetent, or c) both of the above. Their physical appearance tells me it is 'c', as 'novelas leave nothing visual to chance.

I'm kind of sad the Beach Boys are rescued. I'm going to miss the scenery --- both flora and fauna.
;o)

Good point Doris.

Is everyone having a crazy week or is it just me?

I think you'll enjoy this

Thanks Variopinta. Lots of familiar faces (although younger). Lucero appears in a lot of them! And she has thinned out quite a bit since the 80s and 90s.

-Vivi in DC

Thanks for the info about Contra Viento y Marea, Jarocha. I actually like Adela. But I didn't like her character in Fuego en la Sangre. I saw El Privilegio de Amar and loved it. It was my first telenovela, so maybe that's why I liked Adela so much. I had no other female heroine to compare her with.

Yes, I like Mauricio Islas. I didn't know he was with Azteca. But I haven't seen him in anything recently on Telemundo, so I guess he moved on from there.

Connie: My three days are making me see stars and exclamation points everywhere, too!

Adela Robinson is a leeettle too voluptuous this time around for my artistic sensibilities. Well, even Marilyn Monroe would be considered a chunk by Twiggy's standards. Hate to think it, but she's 60, or close to it these days.
============
Doris: I was going to say that RC Cola and Moonpies are the other Southern food group. LOL! They go great after sausage balls. YUM!

Novelera: I adore Mauricio Islas. I wish he hadn't left Uni because I can't get TV Azteca or Telemundo. I'd watch him in anything.

Variopinta: thanks for that link!

No Sortilegio on Thursday or Friday.
I was setting the DVR to record, and noticed this. Friday is a 2-hr ENDA instead. (QTF?)

RC Cola and MoonPie are definitely food groups in the South. So is Boiled Custard, only found in stores this time of year. I luuuurrrrrve the stuff. DH and I prefer it over eggnog. :o)
