Sortilegio Wed - Dec 16 Ep # 50 The Man Who Cried Wolf!

capítulo 55

Victoria and MJ get the news that Ale and Fernando are probably shipped wrecked. MJ loses it and Victoria tells her not to lose hope.

Dr. Hernan, Felipe, Vitoria and are in MJ's room. MJ's blood pressure is a little high. MJ needs to rest and be calm. MJ tells Paula that Ale was not really in NY, that he was in the Dominican Republic.

Ale, on Sortilegio island, is thinking, as young Charlie continues to nurse Fernando. back to health.

Hernan takes Victorias blood pressure and stars asking about Bruno being away.Victoria doesn't want to talk.

Ale and Fernando talk about how smart young Charlie is. He is learning how to write. Fernando tells Ale that Victoria is his life. Fernando starts walking with Ale's help.

We see Bruno arriving at the airport.

Rachel drives into the gated community where Useless lives. Rachel sees Roberto's car and is upset. Roberto has a ticket to Madrid for Useless. Rachel enters the apartment and Roberto leaves. Rachel finds the ticket to Madrid. Rachel and Useless have a few words that I didn't get, and she tears up the ticket and leaves angry. Useless mumbles that she is crazy. Rachel, driving turns a corner fast and another corner and smashes into another car. She has a bloody nose at least.

Back on Sortilegio island all the boys are hauling wood for a bon fire.

Paula gets home form school and sees Roberto all alone. Roberto asks her how school is going. Paula tells him how everyone has been on her about them being friends cause he's married. Roberto says something about Rachels lover. Paula wonders that he could be so calm. Roberto says it is not important. He walks off.

Victoria gets a call from Rachel telling her that she has been in an accident. Rachel wants Victoria to come and get her.

Back on the isle the Ale and Charlie fish using sticks as spears. Fernando looking like he is really burnt is dragging himself along that sand and stops to wince at his leg. Fer and Ale snooze.

Paula says something about Roberto to MJ.

On the Sortilegio isle Ale and Fer talk about home and what could be going on. Lots of waves making ocean sounds... that I can hear perfectly.

Ale now makes shoes out of his pants.

Bruno calls Katia at work and she is really excited to meet him. Mari follows her to the stairs then runs back and calls Arturo and tells him to follow her and let her know where she goes.

Back on the isle Charlie has caught lobster or something and Ale and Fer are really excited.

Katia is spraying herself with her favorite perfume. Arturo calls Mari and tells Mari where Katia is.

Felipe is giving EZ a grocery list when Mari calls. Mari tells EZ where Katia went and EZ says that Bruno has returned.

Our Castaways are gathering coconuts and Charlie is catching fish.

Okay so now Victoria Roberto and MJ are at the hospital. Dr. Hernan says Rachel has minor injuries. Roberto aks about the baby.

Victoria's phone rings. It is EZ. He has called to tell Victoria that Bruno has returned.

On the isle Ale and Charlie are having some kind of a conversation over the sound of waves. It gets dark and our castaways have a fire going and we see the moon. Hmm. It must mean time is passing, perhaps a month or so? BTW, not that I am complaining but why did they get rid of their clothes? Too much sun is not good on the skin.

Katia is serving Bruno and a lawyer wine. Sounds good to me...

Bruno sure is intent on correcting everyone that doesn't call him Señor Lombardo.
Victoria and MJ come to Bruno's hotel. Katia answers the door. Victoria asks her where Bruno is and then tells Katia get to the house.
Victoria and MJ go out on the terrace. Victoria asks Bruno where he has been, he answers Cancun. Victoria says thats a lie. MJ wants to know what Bruno has done to Ale. Bruno says they are crazy. Victoria says she is only interested in knowing what has happened to Ale and Fernando. Bruno says he doesn't know what she is talking about. Victoria tells Bruno she wants him and the lawyers at her house in the morning and he better be coming with the truth. MJ says that if Bruno has kill Ale, that she will make sure this time that he his locked up. MJ says she now has the money and power to make it happen. Bruno's lawyer tells Bruno that he had better come clean with him if he want him to continue representing him.

MJ and Victoria are in the car. Victoria is telling MJ that she needs to go home and rest. MJ argues but finally relents.

Castaways are sleeping by the fire.

At the hospital Victoria asks Hernan how Rachel is. Rachel is doing fine. The baby girl is okay for the moment.

Roberto is talking to Rachel. I don't think Rachel cares whether she or the baby make it, and she tells Roberto that the baby could be Useless's. Victoria comes in and Victoria tells Roberto that Bruno has come back, and that Ale and Fernando have disappeared.

MJ comes home and Felipe asks for news about Rachel, EZ wants to know about Bruno and Paula wants to know if she has any news of Ale. MJ tells what she knows.

EZ calls Arturo and askes where he is at.

Victoria comes home and tells Felipe that Roberto is with Rachel.

On the Sortilegio isle, Ale and Charlie are collecting stuff inland when they hear a helicopter, and they go running and yelling to the beach where Fernando is trying to hurry and light a fire. I wanna know how Charlie can run so fast in his yellow flip-flops. How did they stay on his feet during the shipwreck? Well, it was for nought. The helicopter did not see them.

Next morning Bruno comes to the house and goes directly to Victoria's room where he wants to talk to her alone. Bruno snaps his fingers to hurry Felipe out. Bruno wants to know why Victoria is having a meeting with all the lawyers. Bruno says he doesn't know anything about Ale or Fernando. Victoria reminds Bruno of everything he has already done to get the money.

MJ tells Paula that Ale will come back.
Bruno cries and says he really doesn't know anything about Ale or Fernando. Victoria sighs.

Ale and Fernando are arguing because they didn't get rescued. Fernando is worried that Katia is alone , and what Bruno is doing with her. Ale yells that MJ is alone too, and shes pregnant.

MJ looks at Ales picture on her cell and kisses it. EZ calls MJ for some reason. Vitoria comes in and tells MJ that she doesn't think that Bruno knows anything.

Ale and Fer and Charlie are sad on the Sortilegio island.

Lawyers talk about postponing things. Bruno learns that Rachel is in the hospital. Bruno says he is not going to contest the will of his father. MJ loses and says Sure, that it is because Bruno doesn't think that Ale will come back. Bruno calls her crazy and Victoria says no, and she follows MJ out. Bruno tells his lawyer that he is withdrawing his participation in the contesting of the will. DVR ends. I drink the last of my glass of vine.

I got new television and internet services today. I was grateful that the installation went smoothly, but trying to set up my home network and fix the remote so FIL didn't have too many channels to confuse him took all the day. It wasn't till I started watching Sortilegio that I realized I had no close captions, so I hope I an not to far off base.

Thanks Dipity! Great recap. I am super glad to be back in Carayland! Finals went rather well, but I missed you guys like crazy, and I was super behind on the show until today as well. Got the gist of everything, and darn I feel like I've been gone forever. Lot happened I see, but I am a little bored by the island scenes. The only thing that keeps me tuned in is WL's six pack. Whoa. Wow. I am very impressed.

Bruno's crying was ridiculous. I'm a little confused. Why did he say he was not going to consent the will?

Katia deserves a slap about now. Think it's the second time she made a fat-comment about Mari. I can't stand that girl or woman whatever she's supposed to be.

I like Roberto's attitude of wanting the baby. Moving to the good side, I think. Also love the way he a) talked to Victoria about the "rape" and b) accepted that he is partly to blame for the problems between himself and Raquel.

Well, caught up on the show, now time to catch up with sleep. :)

Cielo de Levy welcome back an congats on finals.

Ok Vicki NOW you're going to backslide and support and believe Bruno?

Yes he had nothing to do with Alex and Ferudumbo accident. But they were chasing him trying to get to the judge he killed.

I'm glad MJ told Bruno in front of the lawyers he was responsible and did not listen to enabling Vicki one bit.

Serendipity thanks for the recap.

Dipidty...thanks for the recap. I laughed when I read your line about the conversation and THE WAVES which you could hear perfectly.

Our new tv only has closed captions if you put the sound on "mute". Thank God we still have the old one, where I can watch with both cc's and sound. Hope you're not in the same fix. If you got a new remote, along with the new service, however, that may be the case.

Fernando and Alex' six-packs are indeed awesome, Cielo. Can't complain about the island landscape at all. Stick around boys!

Thanks for the quick recap. I have to agree cielo, I was a little confused about Bruno's change of "heart", if he has one. I don't think it's because momma thinks he's a horror, though he seemed rather affected that she would think he had something to do with the burnt body twins. (Those boys are REALLY getting toasty. I don't think those shades of red around the shoulders were makeup). Bruno must be either planning something, or if Ale is really gone, needs to regroup and determine his next steps.
Poor Rack, she must have been really into Useless. No accounting for taste. But Roberto sticking by her and the baby was sweet to see. I can definitely see his character now moving to become more responsible. Just not sure how he'll fit into the grand scheme.
So MJ is getting her Momma hormones ramped up and fighting for what's hers. Whoohoo. Do NOT mess with a pregnant woman when she's on a roll.
And though it has been a pleasure watching the Beach Boys, could you just squeeze the daylights out of Charlie, it's about time they surface back home. They need some lotion for those sunburns!
D

Is there a castaway wardrobe person hiding in the bushes? Ale landed in beige pants and all of a sudden he's in navy pants.

Lola

Thanks for the recap Dipity! I agree about the waves. Couldn't hear a word they were saying.

Those boys need some sunblock. Sleeping out in the sun? How crazy is that? As someone who has fair skin I can't stay out in the sun that long. When I was in Florida we ate at an IHOP outside and I was burnt from just sitting and eating breakfast.

Raquel is such a heifer. I can't stand her. Poor little baby she will be having. There is nothing to redeem with Katia. She called Mari fat. That was so unnecessary. Good for Sherlock Mari to follow the little snot.

Gracias por el recap :)

The only thing I have to add was Bruno's pathetic whimpering to Vicky that if she tells the lawyers everything she thinks he's done he'll kill himself.

Thanks for the speedy recap DPD! I really thought the conversations between Roberto (I think I'm going to stop calling him Bobo now)and Paula and then with Vicky were revealing. He really seems to be evaluating his life and this time round he's not pleased with how things add up. He's been fine with being mediocre before, but now that there is a baby to think of, he doesn't seem to be ok letting things go on as they have been. Plus, didn't Hernan say it's a girl? Perhaps more thoughts of that little sister of his that died- the one Paula reminds him of. I know many here will never forgive him for the rape, but I am really feeling how this character is changing and maturing little by little and becoming one of the good guys.

On the conversation in the wave, seems like little 'Charlie' lost his undies/shorts in the waves while he was washing them, and he didn't want to come ashore naked. Lol! Alex thought this was funny, but was also really concerned for the little guy being out in the growing waves and ordered him to come back to the beach, sans undies. Looks like the kid's orange/red t-shirt was then turned into shorts. I love how each time they go back to the beach the each have less and less clothing on. :) But yes, those blondies do need some sunscreen.

I cannot believe that slutty heifer (Katia) called Mari a fat cow. Man, I hope some day Mari gets the opportunity to slap her. But glad that she used her smarts to have her followed.

I think it's funny that Bruno is now being accused of something he actually DIDN'T do- hurting Alex and Fer in the DR. It was the first conclusion MJ, Hernan, his lawyer, and even Vicky Queen of Denial, jumped to. And it's totally logical! What I can't believe is that Katia wouldn't suspect Bruno of foul play in the disappearance of her brother. I mean, who should she have more loyalty to? The loving brother who raised her when their parents died, or some dude she's been boinking for a few weeks?! That girl deserves whatever bad stuff is coming her way.

So after MJ breaks up the fake reconciliation meeting with the lawyers-- I mean really, why should she give a damn if Bruno is threatening to kill himself and Vicky thinks he's innocent?-- I think Bruno says that he IS going to continue to contest the will after all. D- I think you're right that he did see some other opportunities to get what he wanted with Alex out of the way and was thinking of an easier way to get what he wants. With MJ being more 'difficult' than he expected, looks like he'll have to fight publicly like he planned. Good for MJ!

Thank you for the recap, 'dipity. I think you did a great job for no CCs.

QUÉ THE ****? with the wardrobe & continuity teams? They are sooo messing with us, and I love CE's sense of humor with that. Fer and Ale's shorts lengths were like yo-yos. They varied from hot pants to clam diggers, back & forth. LOL Like Lola, I also thought I noticed the color change in Ale's shorts, that he had on white when they wrecked.

The Beach Boys definitely look like potential 3rd degree sunburns. You can get burned that badly even in the shade. They both do look sort of 'hawt' with their beards.

I did not like them sniping at each other. Nothing that a good bath & clean undies won't take care of. Maybe they'll find a waterfall and we'll get a 'FELS'shower scene, island style.
:o)

You read my mind Doris! There's got to be a waterfall somewhere for them can get all cleaned up. Everytime Fer gets close to the water I think...blood = shark. Don't get in the water!

If anyone hasn't watched yet, after the little boy loses his shorts in the water, there's a shot of them all asleep at night and I would swear that boy has his shorts on. Next day, he's in a make-shift diaper-type pants from some red fabric from-I-don't-know-where. (JoAnn Fabrics?) More hijinks from the continuity team. Maybe they were enjoying the beach with one too many Pina coladas . . .

Doris- The red fabric came from his t-shirt. Obviously shirts are optional on this island as all three boys have discarded them or used them for something else. I think you're right on about the continuity team enjoying one too many tropical drinks while in the DR. ;-) Even Bruno on his way back from the DR to Mexico was tanned, in his vacation white linen pants ans shirt, with his lime green sweater casually thrown over his shoulders, and mandals (man sandals). The DR is a very relaxing place (I know, I've spent plenty of time there), and obviously committing a successful murder also seems to do a world of good for Bruto's state of mind.

-Vivi in DC

Ferdumbo is really annoying me with his whining. He needs to man up like the little boy Charlie.

Love how Alex told Ferdumbo you only have to worry about your sister.
Alex said i'm worried about MJ and the baby, Vicki and Felipa no mention at all of Raquel.

Vicky, Vicky, Vicky, don't you ever learn? I think Santa is going to bring you a piece of coal this Christmas for going back to being Victoria, Queen of Denial! On the other hand, I say, GO, MJ, and take the reins in Alex's absence since you seem to be the only one with b***s at the Casa de Locos y Lobos!
We finally get to see the other side of Roberto as he starts to take responsibility in wanting to keep the baby and turns to the light while The Rack continues on her path to The Dark Side.
I would like to order some more coal for Katia and maybe a truckload for Bruno.

Thanks, dpd. Good recap and very impressive without CC's.

Raquel as a mother is pretty scary and, sure enough, looks like she couldn't care less about being one. Hope she stops drinking. Interesting to watch Bobo's response. Maybe he can turn her around if he really starts showing concern for her and the criatura; that would be a good plot twist.

Am enjoying the isla interlude. However, the isla discontinuity with shoes on, shoes off, long shorts, short shorts, no shorts is distracting. Makes me think the whole TN was shot in pieces at different times. Doing the MJ and Sandra parts (when is she EVER going to show up?) means there must have been a lot of non chronologial shooting. But couldn't someone have kept notes?

Look like cute Charlie is definitely going home with Alex or did someone mention trying to find his mama?

Hope MJ stands her ground and grows into a strong and forceful woman. It could happen.

Thanks Cielo, glad to have you back. You must feel great to have finals behind. I agree Katia needs a good slap. She is mean. I don't know why anyone would want to be around her.

Thank you JudyB. I could hear everything except the conversions during most of the show. Hopefully I will get the CCs working soon. I do have new remotes with new provider.

Thank you D. I am thinking that Bruno is not liking the close relationship that Victoria is having with MJ. So I think it was to make himself look better is Victorias eys, but I think he is really just regrouping. Yes those boys need SUNSCREEN.

Lola I am confused also with the wardrope of our Castaways.

Kat - I can't get the Gilligan's theme song out of my head.....

Thank you Connie. "Sherlock Mari" Good one!

Kat - I did not catch that Bruno would kill himself. Thank you!

Vivi - I had no clue that Charlie lost his undies. Too funny now.
I didn't notice that he was wearing his shirt for pants.

Doris - Thank you! "Fer and Ale's shorts lengths were like yo-yos." I did notice that but I wasn't sure if it was the wine making me see things. :) I vote for a "'FELS'shower scene".

dpd

We've reached the silly/stupid phase of the novela. But, I'm okay with watching the half dressed island castaways...
jb

Do men really grow that much hair in just a couple of days? Why can't they just to barefoot? Your feet will get used to it. When I was a kid I hardly ever wore shoes in the summer.

Did anyone catch Paula picking her teeth and then spitting out the apple seed? Was that her idea of improvisation or was it actually scripted. "Take 12...ACTION..."

Ha! I didn't catch that. I did see her chewing and trying to talk at the same time.

This comment has been removed by the author.

LOL, ITA that it's kinda funny that Bruno is not DIRECTLY responsible for what happened to Alex and Fernando. I wish he'd get more blame for it.

MJ is doing a good job of acting tough in front of Bruno. You go girl!

I like that that the family responded very warmly when they discovered Raquel was having a girl. A lot of times in differen cultures, girls are looked down upon, but here it was genuine happiness. Very nice.

ROFL to all of your comments on the boys' dressing. It is unusual.

Thanks Anon n Dipity for the welcome wishes.

Dipity: thanks for the recap! Still trying to get my head around the characters & the convoluted plot (really...who writes these things?) & I'd be lost without an explanation the next day. Gracias!

Doris: JoAnn's Fabrics...ha ha ha ha ha!!!!! And Vivi, mandals...love it! Like moobs that need a bro.

Before I nodded off, I was enjoying the castaways & their various shades of undress. At that point, I didn't really care why they were there or when they'd be rescued. I was ogling to my gringo heart's content. Nice scenery on that island.

Sorry if I'm late on this but is Roberto our dear Ascanio from Pasion? If he loses the soul patch, his character might be redeemed.

Maggarita
:-)

Thanks for the recap, dpd.

I think Vicky is actually the voice of reason. She doesn't get swayed too far in either direction w/o clear evidence. Early on, she didn't believe Bruno did those things, because she hadn't seen the evidence (we had, but that's another matter). Later, when she heard Bruno on the phone admitting he gave the blood in return for MJ's divorce and the presidency, this was real evidence, and she was then convinced of what Bruno had done.

She then proceeded not to give him the benefit of the doubt. But in the current situation, she's still correct in not finding him guilty of murder (of Alex and Fernando) w/o more proof. MJ hysterically assumes Bruno has done it, but she's wrong (although he HAS killed the judge, but again, so far, there's no evidence of that).

It's very important for a person in a position of power not to get overly emotional about factual issues, to avoid making the wrong decisions. I believe Vicky continues to balance things well.

Bruno was pathetic with his clutching his Mama's knees, threatening to kill himself. Puhhlease! I do think he's planning some new strategy, though, in light of Alex and Fer's disappearance.

The last couple of episodes have really been comedic in places! But it's still fun to watch, especially after the darkness of ENDA.

I thought it was something when Roberto expressed regret over how he and Rack used to love each other. Agree he is moving to the good side.

I didn't catch Bruno saying he would kill himself, either, wow. I can see how hard it must be for Vick to completely accept how evil he is. I doubt she is going back to full-on denial though.

Loved the Gilligan's island theme- I'm getting tired of them being there, though, it needs to move on.

Cielo de levy you were missed glad you're back. It's disturbing how back and forth they are with the guys clothing.

Stick to one style and move on please.

Hombre once again i have to disagree with you, Vicki's sympathies and love for Bruno are being used again and she falling for it.

I believe in tonight episode from last night's preview. The woman tour director tells MJ that they found the judge dead and the last person to who was looking for him was possibly Bruno.

With all Bruno has done to MJ, Alex and Vicki, Katia. How in the world could she even think to give him the benefit of doubt i wouldn't.

Vicki has yet to learn about him ordering Pimp Daddy E to kill Meche and Gabriel. His first attempt at murdering Alex should not give him any leeway at all.

ITA after that skank heifer called Mari fat she really needs to get a good taste of how Bruno really is.

Let's hope him using her to his own benefit comes to an end real soon and he dumps her.

So...has this novela turned into Lord of the Flies ???...Robinson Crusoe???...Swiss Family Robinson ?? The island scenes are a hoot. Carla is really taking advantage of the situation to give her viewers lots of sandy beefcake shots. Fer-almost-nudo and Al are sweet with Charie. I loved Kat's recap featuring Tim Gunn's critique of Al's clever use of his shirt to make bandages for Fer's leg wound while at the same time fashioning a sleeveless beach shirt for himself. I felt sorry for poor, wounded Fer having to endure Al and Charlie dragging him around in the sand, leaning on various parts of his anatomy, and wrapping leaves and vines around his festering wound. I knew Roberto o o would come around. He's beginning to mature and to see himself and his life as it really is. He wants to be a better person, I think. Maybe the baby will be the turning point for his redemption. As for Raq, Useless, Katia, Bruto, and the Kardashians....as my friend Herbie the fireman would say...They're just oxygenwasters.

I'm with you, Anon. After everything that happened, Bruno doesn't seem innocent from any angle. He gave MJ blood only to get the presidency and the divorce. That was the eye-opening moment for Vicky, and she can't forget that. Bruno is evil. I think she is letting her emotions get in the way as well as MJ. He didn't kill Alex and Fernando, but he is definetely capable of doing so. MJ is accusing him of something he didn't do, but something that he would've done if he could.

Thanks, Serendipitypb, a great effort without closed captions.

Bruno surprised me. At first he told Vic he went to Cancun. Then she told him she had spoken with Señora Amaya from the travel agency in DR and was prepared to fly her to Mérida to testify that Bruno had gone after the judge. She told him clearly that she knew he'd bribed this judge to disappear once he'd married Bruno and MJ under the false name of Alex. She also told him that she knew he found out somehow that Alex was going there to convince the judge to testify against Bruno and that Bruno had followed them.

Bruno tried out the same old, same old, saying it was all a plot by Alex to bribe the judge to accuse him and he'd gone there to defend himself. Vic didn't buy it. Then he fell to his knees sobbing that he'd kill himself if she said all these things to the roomful of lawyers. Vic caved.

The next scene is with the lawyers, and Bruno meekly says he's decided against contesting the will. MJ is not satisfied with this saying, of course you won't contest. You killed Alex and now stand to be first in line to inherit. Vic tries to calm her.
At the end Bruno still says he isn't going to contest the will. So I don't know where they're going with this.

Another thing: when Bruno was on the hotel terrace MJ shouted at him that now she'd have the money and the power to go after him. Bruno's ears pricked up and he started to chase her asking what she meant. MJ should NOT spill the beans about the money coming to her before the divorce can be finalized!

Since Fer & Ale are MIA and have no alibi except Charlie, it would not surprise me of Bruno tries to pin the judge's murder on them.

HdM - Bruno clutching at V's skirt & thighs, sobbing that he didn't kill Alex, was really disgusting to me. That guy is such a dirtbag.

I agree with the theory posed here that a lot of island scene shots were filmed over a period of time, and then pasted together. How else could Fer & Al's beards come in so quickly???

I doubt they'll be on the island much longer. This won't be a FELS jungle-thon. It's not CE's style.

Connie - I figured Al made the 'shoes' because the hot sand had burned the soles of his feet. Telenovela beanie hat firmly planted on head and suspension of disbelief is engaged. :-D

I thought Vicky's agreement with Bruno was that he stop the clock on contesting the will. She very pointedly asked Bruno at the meeting what it was that he wanted to announce. And after MJ woman-ed up Vicky left the room. But Bruno WAITed until she was gone and then pretended the women are crazy and he does want to go on with contesting the will.
At least I THINK this was what I read in the actor's facial expressions.
And if this is right, Victoria will see that her son can never be trusted - about any thing. A lesson she needs. I was appalled that Vicky wanted MJ to remain quiet about Alex and Fer's dissappearance and Bruno being in the same vicinity.
Will these people never stop telling Marijose to 'tell a lie'?

And when the Gilligan island men-to-boys were arguing about their motherless handicap status didn't they just ignore that precioso sitting in their midst. I was SO glad when Alex hugged him and promised to get him home again to his family.

"MJ should NOT spill the beans about the money coming to her before the divorce can be finalized!"

Bruno doesn't know about the divorce, and nothing Maria Jose said could point to an impending divorce. Even if he did think about divorce, who would think that Alex would give all his money away to Maria Jose in a DIVORCE settlement? When they haven't even been married 6 months?

What could be implied is that if Alex is dead, Maria Jose as his widow stands to inherit and WIDOW LOMBARDO would have the money and power to put Burno's butt in jail.

Ironic, since Alex dying and Maria Jose inheriting was his plan all along.

Doris~~''jungle-thon''...good one !!! I got a big kick out of the arts and crafts shoe project. These guys are resourceful. Al has now turned into MacGiver. I think that Katia is going to regret continually dissing Mari. If Al hadn't have disappeared she probably would be out of a job by now snce Mari told him about her behavior. I think that Katia called Mari ''gorda'' once too often. Mari is smart and will be an integral part of Katia's undoing. Maybe she'll learn that it's not a good idea to be calling people names and shirking your work duties. I love the way the employess [Mari, EZ, Felipa, Arturo] are quietly working in the background to gather info Al will need to stop the baddies. I see a great big anvil right above that little brat's head. Young and foolish is a bad combination...mix in arrogant, overconfident, rude, and lazy and you have some real trouble brewing. ByeBye, Katia.

Bonney, this is one of those times I wish I didn't delete episodes from the DVR as soon as I watch them. Interesting that you thought Bruno said he would contest the will after Vic left.

I thought the exact opposite and was surprised that he said the second time that he would not contest. Anyone else remember which of our memories worked?

Of course, I don't think Bruno is done plotting, just that he surprised me by saying he wouldn't contest last night.

Novelera~~~All I remember is that at the end when Mj left the room, Bruto turned to the attorney, shrugged, and told him that she was loca. It will be intesting to see how this plays out. We know that eventually Al and Fer will return from Gilligan's Island and Sandra will show up , but who knows how soon these two events will occur. Bruno has to do some recalibrating now that Al is suddenly out of the picture..for awhile. It would be funny if the guys start exploring and discover a big resort right around the corner from their little beachhead.

Here's what I got when I watched...Bruno said HE would not contest the will...and I thought maybe he's planning on Raquel contesting it in his place.

JudyB, that is a very good guess. I had not thought about Raquel doing the contesting. That would be diabolical.

JudyB- I think you're right about what Bruno said. I heard wrong. He did emphasize that HE would not be contesting, but of course there is still Raquel. Hmmm...I am sure he has another plan brewing, just like Wyle E. Cayote. :)

-Vivi in DC

I would be worth it to be on a deserted island if I could get those lobsters. We call them Florida lobster but they are really spiny crawfish. Different from Maine lobster in that they don't have the large front claws. They are deliciosas, & those were huge.

The boys have rid themselves of their clothes so we can see their manly chests & great piernas.

I couldn't catch what Fernando said happened to his parents, except that they are dead.

I believe Roberto said he loved Raquel, is that POSSIBLE?

Bruno said he would NOT contest the will, but after sobbing to his mom & MJ yelling at him, he told the lawyers to continue with the impugnación.

Great recap Serendipity. So Bruno isn't going to contest the will now that it seems Alex and Fer have vanished on Sortilegio Island. Does this mean that MJ and Alex will still be divorced? LOL at some of the editing shots. Alex wearing different color pants and how did Charlie manage to keep his flipflops on when they dived into the water before the boat exploded?

Variopinta- Spiny crawfish from the Caribbean are indeed delicious! My mouth also watered when I saw them.

Roberto said to Vicky that he used to love Raquel, but he doesn't anymore. He was very honest, and I think Vicky respected his honesty, enough so that she then shared the whole truth with him about what's been going on with Alex/Bruno/MJ.

-Vivi in DC

I finally figured out how they're managing the wardrobe changes. It's Charlie of course. In addition to doctoring Fernando and providing food from the sea, he's sewing garments from vines and leftover fish parts. That kid is amazing; I'd be taking him home too.

Lola

Thanks for the recap Dipity! "And you get bonus point for doing this without closed captions!!

Kat thank you for yesterday's recap. I haven't thought about Gillian's Island for a while and your "re imagining" of it was priceless.

Good thinking about the hot sand Doris. I didn't think of that. They still shouldn't be out in the sun so much. They are going to look like crispy critters before the end of the week.

I would think if Alex died, even one day before the divorce is final, that he and MJ would still be married at the time of his death.

Hello everyone, been too busy for watching Sorti or Caray Caray. I've missed all of you.

dpd, thanks for the recap under duress, without CCs. The worst of this episode was the loud sea waves, hard to get all the details.

My thoughts:

Roberto has figured out the fast track to redemption; loving his wife's unborn child, even though it might be that of his current lover (or soon to be ex-lover) Useless. His largess with this pregnancy will send him on a bullet into the hearts of all the female viewers.

I think I understand Vicky on her Bruno wavering. I would imagine that acceptance comes in waves. Bruno is her son and like Hombre said, she needed evidence to move her over to a believer. Under the circumstances, it would be easy to backslide into denial, I think she'll come back to the right frame of mind soon.

Too bad that the Lombardos can't afford a private search, the DR is a poor country, they might not be able to pull out all stops for a full on rescue. As the helicopter passed, I noticed a HUGE bonfire that must have been 8 feet wide, I'm surprised that they didn't notice all the smoke.

The clothing changes were hysterical...other posters have covered that in detail.

Our adult castaways have such black beards, looks funny on our rubios!

The little boy with our castaways is adorable. He a great addition to the cast.

Beards are funny. My dad had dark brown hair, but when he let his beard grow during hunting season, it was a reddish color.

Beards,
My esposo could shave in the morning & by night needed another shave. So by two days, I'm sure he could have even more beard than Alex & Fernando.

And being of advanced years, I know where your evebrows go, they drop to your upper lip.

Thanks for the recap, serendipity. My favorite lines were those about our hunkalicious castaways.
"Alex makes shoes out of his pants."
ROFL.
"Why did they get rid of their clothes?" Probably so we would smile and keep watching instead of throwing things at our TVs.
Bruno snapping his fingers at Felipa made me want to reach into the TV and strangle him. Bruno crying at his mother's feet made me want to vomit profusely.
La Paloma

And Katia calling Mari a fat cow made me want to pull out her multi-colored hair.

at the end around 5:30

I cked it & the lawyer asked if he wanted to continue & Bruno said por mi parte sí
about contesting the will

Well said, Anon and Novelera. Vicky is buckling again, under the pressure of denial that she did a terrible job of raising children. I also thought Bruno would get Raquel to do his dirty work. Maybe get her to contest the will, and then he won't be breaking his 'word' that he wouldn't contest.

I really hope Mari slaps Katia at some point. It would be right up there with the slap Vicky gave Raquel...

La Paloma~~~I agree. I loved ''Alex makes shoes out of his pants.'' Loved it ! Maybe it's like that adage about making lemonade when life hands you lemons. [Word identification : ''exciteg''...as in ''I am so exciteg about tonight's episode.'' ]

Ok, let me get this straight. Bruno told Victoria he would not contest the will, but he told his lawyer to continue with the case. Que the heck?! I'm confused.

Another thing, Roberto told Victoria about Sandra, but Victoria didn't really spend too much time thinking about the danger a MJ look alike could cause...maybe it's because Bruno doesn't know about her. Hopefully, if Sandra does try to take the place of MJ, Victoria will remember. Roberto is moving to the good side, but I don't if that means he's good enough to say anything if he suspects that Sandra is around...hmmm...

I found it interesting how Roberto actually told Victoria about her. But if I'm correct, he did not mention that the girl is MJ's sister...

Thanks, dpd, for the recap. I'm only now getting to it. I just want to make two points. One is Alex wants/needs shoes not only to protect himself from the hot sand but also because there are burrs and other things that are painful to step on. Twice so far I recall him wincing in pain from stepping on something sharp.

Also, I think Bruno said he was not going to impugn the will, and at the end, the lawyer asked whether they should stop their efforts regarding that, and Bruno said "for my part, yes." In other words, yes, they should stop. So there's no contradiction between what he said earlier and at the very end.

Thanks for explaining that, Juanita.
