Agree Anon, who knew. Bruno looked like a normal person. Looks quite personable when he smiles. Did Bruno ever smile? :)

William Levy has lost quite a bit of bulk. Stopped working out? Definitely quite a bit smaller.
 

Here's the Recap-Part 1

WL and JB enter the set, both looking very lovely.

WL speaks about what a shock it was that Carla Estrada chose him for the lead in Sorti. He says he grew a lot as an actor. Meeting Carla for the first time was like a Sortilegio for him.

He and Cristina talk about his living 13 years in Miami and the rest of the years in Mexico since leaving Cuba. He and Cristina talk about how hard Cubans work at any job that comes their way to do well and get ahead in the US, including many members of his own family like his uncles in construction. They also talk about how they both had a horrible Cuban accent that they have had to soften to do their jobs, and their success and/or lack of success doing so. But the fans don’t seem to mind his accent. (many squeals from the audience)

Jacqui has dreamt of working with Carla ever since she got into the acting business 10 years ago. She was thrilled when Carla called her for the part, and when she was told she would be working with WL, she said she would make the sacrifice (wink, wink).

Cristina asks about the strong love scenes and whether they “felt” anything for realz. JB says she felt nothing. It’s just her job after all. When the ladies in the audience protest, she says, well of course MJ did. But when she actually watch the scenes, she was super embarrassed/kind of scandalized and could barely watch. Cristina asks if her father has seen the scenes and JB says, heck no. WL jumps in and says I hope not, otherwise he would kill me.

They talk about filming the love scenes and how much Carla directed them. “Touch him/her there; grab his butt there, etc.” She would tell them, “Ok kids, today the three of us are going to make love.” The cenote love scene was actually the first love scene they filmed and Carla really directed them. JB spoke about wrapping herself around WL in a way that pleased Carla, although Carla thought WL was the one who initiated this move. I didn’t get all of this, so someone fill in. Carla said to them over and again that they weren’t acting like they are in love, they ARE in love. That’s how they went into each scene, with that belief. If the audience was so convinced that they had something going on in real life, then it means that they did their job well. They had good chemistry and Carla knew this. JB mentions what fantastic chemistry WL had with Maite in CCEA and that it’s a credit to their talent.

Cristina brings up how the last time JB was on with her show with her Tontas costars, Jaime Camil was certain she and Valentino Lanus had gotten back together because they worked so well together on set and had such chemistry during their love scenes. He even made a point of teasing them about it and was doing so just as Valentino’s current girlfriend walked up. Oops! Cristina thinks it’s amazing JB could be such good friends with, and work so closely with, her ex. She could never do so with her ex husband!
 

Recap part 2:
They show some clips from some play WL did recently. One of his cast members was Alicia Machado (?) who had some problem with WL. I didn’t get all of this, so someone else jump in with details. WL says he came everyday, worked hard and did his job.

Both JB and WL work with a lot of charities (cancer, children in poverty, anorexia), but the press never speaks about this. Instead all the press wants to talk about is who they’re dating. As artists/actors they feel it’s their duty/responsibility to give back.

Cristina asks about WL’s son. “He’s my life. I didn’t have the opportunity to grow up with my father, so I want to spend as much time with my son as possible. To teach him things, and I learn so much more from him.” Cristina- Elizabeth is pregnant again, right. Yes, the baby is due in March. We are so happy. We really want a little girl. But it’s all in God’s hands.” (the way it was said seemed to mean both the sex/health of the baby, and the survival of his relationship with Elizabeth).

Mini William was on the set of Sorti. When he first met Jacqui he looked at her suspiciously and gave her a pouty look. Soon enough he warmed up to her and the rest of the crew and was giving her hugs. Cristina then says he’s a flirt. I wonder where he got that from? WL smiles slyly and says he doesn’t know.

In a commercial bumper, WL gets semi naked near a shower back in the green room as a favor to Cristina. The audience goes into wild screaming fits and I see young girls clutching at their hearts like they’re about to have a heart attack.

It’s time for JB and WL to face the tabloid press and answer their questions face to face. First reporter (Manuel from TV y Novelas) directs a question at WL about how sources from the set of Sorti have confirmed that he and JB are going out. Not only that, but he was seen leaving JB’s house after spending the night there. This ticks JB off and she asks WL if she can answer the question. She first thanks Manuel for all the support he and his magazine have given her over the years, BUT they need to check their sources better. She invites him and whoever his sources are for a sit down and a chat over some coffee. WL answers in some cheeky way that gets applause from the audience, but I didn’t catch what his answer was. Anyone?

Second reporter says that Cubans are passionate people, so WL MUST have felt something during those love scenes when he and JB were nekid! JB says, hey, we had SOMETHING on. Motioning they had on what amounted to string bikini bottoms. WL assures the reporter that he felt nothing and nothing happened.

Next reporter wants to know why JB and her boyfriend broke up, and was it because of the strong love scenes she had to film with WL. JB says no, she and her fiancé broke up just before filming started and WL had noting to do with it. They realized they were rushing into a marriage that would have ended in a divorce in the near future.
 

Recap Part 3:
Origel (who made an appearance in Sorti as Gabe’s patron, and in Gancho as Beto’s almost papa and Estella’s patron) asks a question I did not get at all to WL (help?). Part of WL’s answer is that he’s never had to sleep with someone out of obligation. I’m guessing the question had something to do with him and Elizabeth.

The last reporter asks JB what she can offer a man. She makes a funny sexy face and strikes a sexy pose for the camera. WL says something funny that cracks her up. Then she says that to find out what she has to offer, a man would have to sit down and talk to her.

Daniella Romo is introduced. We see her do a funny skit backstage with Chantal (Raquel) and David (Bruno) where she scolds her bad kids and ties David’s shoes. When she enters the stage, her long hair is flowing and she looks beautiful and elegant. When asked about playing an older woman with a young hot lover, she says that everyone knows she is a decent/modest woman, but there are opportunities no woman can pass up! Even her mom congratulated her and landing that role. She calls Gabriel Soto a beautiful boy, and says how wonderful he is and such a gentleman. He was very gentle with her and made her feel more confident during the love scenes. They’ve worked together before and even played mother and son.

They all talk about Cuco, as well as the actress who played Felipa (whom they all love). Apparently, because Cuco is Carla’s favorite spoiled dog, this actress was initially nervous about working with him. Cuco also had his own fan base. When Daniella’s two nephews came to visit her on set, and she had just completed this emotional heart wrenching scene where she was crying, the first thing her nephews said to her when they came up to her was, “Where’s Cuco?”

Daniella talks about how she loved working with all of these kids. And she really loved working with Jacqui who is a marvelous girl. They had never worked together before.

Another skit backstage- Daniella rings a school bell to get her “kids” (Chantal and David) and their “Papi” (Gabriel) to go on set. She brings Chantal and David out and then tells them she’s going to get their papi, her papcito! She comes back being carried in the arms of Gariel Soto, and he sits down on the couch next to WL with Daniella on his lap. This gets many approving shrieks from the audience. Cristina then calls JB and WL hypocrites for refusing to do fully dressed what they did continuously naked in the novela. She goads, and WL and JB oblige with JB sitting flirtatiously on WL’s lap.

Cristina congratulates Chantal on the recent birth of her baby. She then flirts with David, saying that she doesn’t prefer those blondies (WL and Gabriel) like the other woman, she likes her some David Zapeta! David walks aver to her, gives her a kiss and a hug and then sits her on his lap. Cristina eventually gets up, saying all the excitement is too much for her poor heart.

Next Monday, more from the Sorti main cast.

I don't know if this was ever mentioned but María Victoria, the woman playing Felipa, is an actress, singer and comedian that has been working non-stop for the last 6 decades in movies, tv series, comedy shows, theather and telenovelas and she has worked with the most important actors of several generations. Back in the 50's she was one of the sexiest singers and she had one of the most important comedy shows back in the 70's called "La Criada Bien Criada" and the writing for most of the funny noisy maids used in mexican tv now is heavily influenced by her character in that show.

I'm glad the cast mentioned her in the interview with Cristina.

JeffMN: I noticed too that WL's not as bulky. Whenever I see him outside of the show, he's really lean - like a model.
 

Here's where i'm curious why doesn't William really come out and say he has reconciled with his baby's mama Elizabeth? After making a public emphatic announcement in June of last year William has not once ever said they are officially back together.

He was on Gordo Y Flaca earlier in the day he was asked what he was doing since Sorti ended he talked about the play he produced and starred in and now he was in Miami after visiting his family in Cuba. He was in Miami with his family his son.Now one would think if he's back with Elizabeth he would say the mother of my son and all.

I know what happen during the filming put a major strain on his personal life a lot of it caused by Elizabeth herself. Don't you think it's time for him to say to the press we're back together this is the woman i love and i choose back off.

William and Elizabeth aren't the first couple who's relationship was strained by the media and rumors because they're both entertainers. Nor will they will be the last Last night on their interview with Cristina by the gossip magazine people would have been a perfect time for him to make it clear to everyone what's going on.

Daniela Romo looked so much better without that wig i don't know why they had her wear it in the first place. Jackie B. look great and i liked how upset she got with the so-called rumors concerning her and William.

Impressed also with her acknowledging how William had better on-screen chemistry with Maite Perroni.
 

I thought also William wasn't as muscular when he took off his shirt so perhaps when he's on a novela he works out more to give himself more definition.

What i found more different from this interview than his interview when CCEA finished, was William and his co-star were comfortable with each other and teasing about the gossip and their parts.

Instead when he was interviewed for CCEA William was teased and joking around with Laura Zapata his mother in law on CCEA and a supporting player. His co-star Maite was very uncomfortable and did not want to deal with any question concerning the rumors between them on the set and off.

To me Jackie B. was unafraid and fearless and unashamed of her actions, challenged anyone to prove such out of control gossip like the confident woman she is.

While Maite was fearful and shaken by the constant alleged gossip and just couldn't deal with it maturely like Jackie B did that's why Cristina didn't really broach the subject with her when they were on together.
 

I also thought David Zepeda was handsome; can't wait to hear from him on Monday. Gabriel Soto - not so much.
 

thank you thank you thank you. I just took the odd chance of seeing what maybe might be here, and was super rewarded for my curiosit. Looks like Sortilegio is a big hit and the cast will be appearing everywhere as they can find time.

Everybody looked great, and it was great to see them all relaxed and friendly and funny.

Hello there, folks. It has been a very long time since I comment here. I didn't really watch this telenovela until a few episodes at the end.

I did watch the interview on Cristina. Everyone is right - William Levy looks different. He looks thinner. He also seem more serious. I noticed he wasn't smiling when he and Jackie were continually asking about their supposed real relationship. Personally, I don't see it with them like I did with Maite. However, I am not surprised at the rumors because this novela showed more skin and passionate love scenes than we did in CCEA. In CCEA, it was so toned down.

I have noticed more appearances by Jackie and William on other new shows. I also saw them separately make an appearance and presented at the "Premio Lo Nuestro". Jackie looked very beautiful. She was voted as the celebrity with the best beautiful dress. Her dress for the award show was beautiful. William wear flashy suit at the award show.

I am glad that there will be more interviews with the other cast members next week on Cristina. I will be watching.

Thanks so much for the impromptu recap. I had a very hard time understanding anything, congrats to you for your astute ear. I can't add much except I think I heard WL say that when he first arrived in the US he worked with his uncles in many things including "air conditioning". Can you imagine walking to your door and seeing WL as your AC man?

Anon, I too have seen his reluctance to say mi mujer, mi novia, while at the same time he is so enchanted with being a father and with the prospects of having a new baby. Three thoughts, maybe he just doesn't know what will happen with the relationship and hates to say anything. Maybe things are better, but he has learned that the press is so tough and mean, that it is not worth saying anything, no matter what he says, he'll be criticized. Also, it is just not in the nature of men to talk about their wives sometimes. My husband has worked with men for months and when I ask if the guy is married, he'll say, "I don't know."

I thought JB comported herself beautifully...I knew she would. Also, it was so nice to hear the praise and thanks directed to US for the chance to prosper this country has given Cubans, you usually hear the opposite from celebrity types.
 

Thanks Vivi for the recap. I actually thought Bruno was charming. Fernando looked pretty awesome too. I did notice that WL didn't seem as big. They all seemed to be having a good time. Those screaming girls were pretty annoying I thought.
 

Sandy i have to disagree with you because i have seen many celebrity couples break-up and reconcile and have just as much a hard time with the paparrazzi like Elizabeth and William.

I have never seen the male be so closed mouth especially concerning the birth of another child being brought into the relationship. When William had announced their break-up in June. It was late in the month of June early July When Elizabeth announced she was pregnant with their second child.

William did not confirmed he was even the father of her child, until it was September near the end of Sorti in Mexico. As much as he has shown how he loves his son i just found something very strange and off with his actions or i should say non-actions of taking so long to acknowledge that the baby was his.

Like i said part of the problems and rumors between him and Maite when they were filming CCEA was Elizabeth herself. She has gone from being a very extreme jealous and overbearing girlfriend and baby mama drama who verbally attacked Maite and accused her of trying to break-up her family and to take William away from her.

Once William announced that they had broken-up she has never said one unkind word or accusation against Jackie B. at all. I find that very curious and she even went so far to say last November that William has never cheated on her.

When i read that qoute i was like which is it Elizabeth, months ago you're hinting and accusing him of cheating on you with Maite same type of rumors now are surfacing with him and Jackie B. now she says this Que the Heck?

William will be on Don Francisco presents on Wednesday i'll be setting aside my 10:00pm schedule for that.

I, like you noticed that he was strangely quiet about Elizabeth. Given all the rumors, the best thing would be to say lots of nice things about her....I'm just trying to give the couple the benefit of the doubt. It is so sad to see the messes that people get themselves into especially when there are children involved. He seemed sad about growing up without a father and I know it must weigh on him terribly if he has to separate from the mother of his children!

Anon...at least WE can relax, thank goodness it isn't our problem!
 

It was mentioned at the awards show that JB and WL were supposed to present an award together but WLs woman had made such a fuss at which JB said she could do it alone! And she did so, quite well, if I may say so!

Anon 1:51- I was surprised that JB and WL faced the paparazzi live on the show. But I guess JB can handle it, and she did it extremely well and fearlessly. Good for her!

I agree that David looks so much more attractive outside of his Bruno role. He did smile as Bruno, but that smile always came across as creepy and false (just as it should have). It was nice to see his real smile. I don't blame Cristina for wanting a piece of that action. And yes, WL is slimming down. He and Gabriel used to be the same size/bulk and now there is a great difference. His face shape has also changed and gotten softer because of that. I don't mind. I like skinny guys. :)

Sandy it's hard to pick up what they are saying sometimes because i have partial hearing loss in one of my ears, a lot of times i have to blast the volume control to understand what they are saying.

Anon 10:22 not surprised about Elizabeth making a fuss once again displaying her out of control jealousy and control issues with him.

Sandy this why i don't believe they have reconciled, i think William is just keeping quiet trying to keep her calm for the sake of their new baby about to be born and that's it.

I think what happened to him with his own father has definitely affected him in the sense that he will always want to be there for his children but that is it.

We'll see what happens with these two after she gives birth, i just don't want to turn on my tv or computer one day and learned something has happened to him because of her.IMO she reminds me like the character Maura with him but unlike the novela this is real life. So i really do worry about him and i hope that i am wrong in thinking this.We shall she what happens to them both in the future.

Update on who else is starring in William's movie Gilbert Gottfried,Stacy Keach, Andrew Dice Clay and Jimmie Walker i hope they have real small parts or maybe this is suppose to be a comedy?

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this episode of Cristina. The cast looked radiant and they seemed to enjoy themselves very much.

Jackie...girlfriend, you show'em how it is done...with fearless dignity and beauty!

As for WL (gorgeous) and Elizabeth, well, I will stay out of that one. Who really knows what goes on behind closed doors.

Daniela looked so beautiful with her flowing hair and smile. She and Gabriel seem to have much more chemistry in real life than on camera. They were cute on stage.

David...cutie too. Loved to see his own genuine smile and gratitude toward Cristina's comments.

Vivi i loved William's body like it was not too muscular and not too skinny maybe he had to slim done for his new movie.

Carlita ITA with you about Jackie B. she was letting gossip magazine guy have it with both barrels last night. Loved it i love when celebrities who ask these men and woman of the papparazzi to respect their personal privacy and they don't get put in their place.

Majority of these rumors and stories are made either by them or by some jealous people who are hating on these stars. While these so-called journalist are doing their jobs as some would say is it their job to print and make-up false stories without substantial proof or evidence?

A lot of times we have seen stars take out orders of protection against these people when is enough or crossing a line that jeopardizes a stars relationship and home life because of these stories.

If it was me i would give these gossip writers a taste of their own medicine and see how they would like to be followed 24/7 and written about and had alledged affairs made up about them.See how they would like wearing and being under the media microscope.

I didn't like JB at first, but now I think she is very good & she looked fantastic. My favorite is Silvia Navarro, however,

About getting it on in the scenes, I don't know how it can be anything but good acting when you have lights, cameramen, directors & probably the cast around. Takes the romance out of the situation.

Of the 3 post-show Cristinas I've seen (FELS, MEPS, & Sorti), I enjoyed this one the best and I'm not sure if that was because Jackie B was there and Adela N. and Silvia N. weren't. It really makes a difference IMO when all of the lead actors/actresses are there.
 

Thank Vivi, WL did look a lot smaller than he did on Sorti. Loved JB letting the tabloid reporters have it. I will never understand why the media feels as though they are entitled to know all the sordid details about someone's personal life. It's too much voyeurism in my opinion. I agree that Daniel Romo and Gabriel Soto were more comfortable with each other off screen than on screen. Her hair is gorgeous. Why didn't the show let her wear on own hair instead of the wig. Maybe she did in the first episode. I will have to check in YouTube.
 

About the love scenes. Yes, they are very technical but if there is an real attraction between the leads it will still come through in the scene. Take Mrs. and Mrs. Smith for example. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie burned up the screen in their love scenes and we all know that it was more than just good acting LOL.

It seems like Jacky is the opposite of her MJ character in the beginning of the show, huh. A lot more attitude and confidence. Those are good traits. I was watching the Christina with Maite and WL from last year, and ita Maite seemed very ucomfortable compared to how Jacky was in the little that I saw and the stuff I heard from u all.
 

Yes, WL looks leaner, but not smaller, and still looks FAB. He was getting too upper body out-of-proportion. Looking better this way.

The upcoming US movie does seem to be B film with a lot of also ran and out of work actors. Maybe WL will be the fresh shining face. I hope this is a good move on WL's part, and doesn't backtrack his career.

thanks everybody for recaps and thoughts. Takes away some of my emptiness from not seeing sortilegio on a regular basis. I grew very used to that dysfunctional family. hard to get over.
 

Anon, I like the lean look too. It's much more proportional this way. Sometimes I feel like people who have really big bodies look like they're heads are too small. lol wierd wording, but something to that effect.
 

Variopinta: I didn't like JB too, at first. But she seems to have a jovial and congenial personality in interviews/red carpet appearances. Now I admire her and think she's very beautiful. 'guess that's why she was Miss Mexico 2000.
 

mrslmgallego- She also speaks those four languages Ibarramedia mentioned the other day (Spanish, French, English and Chinese). That's what really impresses me! And she knows how to comport herself in front of the media, always gives thanks for opportunities and the people in her life, very close to her family, and comes off as really warm with a good sense of humor. And her castmates always seem to like her a lot. And if you can remain friends with your exes and work with them, it says something about you. She seems like a cool chick from the two Cristina interviews I have seen with her so far (Tontas and Sorti). If if all of that is fake, then she is a way better actress than she has shown herself to be in the novelas!
 

Vivi LOL and ITA with you about Jackie B. her reaction last night to the tabloid reporters was priceless sand spot on name your sources if their accusation are so true.

She had a you Go Girl moment right there so i have mad respect for her now, too bad Carla didn't tapped into this part of her personality and inject it more in her role of MJ.

I thought it was cute how she was describing how William's son was with her at first, i hate how people call someone name Christopher,Tophy for short.

I read how both Jackie and William both have said they would like to work with each other again too in the future.

Vivi/ Anon - yup, now I am really impressed with her accomplishments. I re-watched beginning epis of Sorti, and have changed my opinion (to favorable) about her performance (b/w start to end) and 'toothy/gummy' mouth/smile.

I like her/WL chemistry compared to Maite/WL's. Although, now that I'm watching El Clon, Sandra Echeverría seems like she would make a good pair-up w/ HRH.
 

David Zepeda was just on Gordo y Flaca i must say he looks far more handsome and cuter not playing mad dog rabid Bruno. David IMO has one of those faces that sometimes he looks cute and other times he not my type period look.

The only other novela i have seen him in was Accoralda where he had this vapid bland and clueless look most of the time and his acting was Blech!

Here's to goodluck in his future and work on novelas it seems he's being cast as the new young villain in novelas since someone said he will play one La Duena.
 

Just wanted to point also William was wearing a scarf on top of his shirt i guess it went with his suit i liked it.Funny how i so turned off by Bruno and his darn scarves under his shirt.
 

Fernando Colunga has lost weight for La Dueña in order to appear younger (he's just right for me).
Adela Noriega was turned down because there was too much of her. They put it nicely, sth like for the role.
 

Variopinta are you serious they told Adela she weighed too much or looked to big for the role. Wow i know that probably did not go over too well with her considering how actors have big egos.

To me, David Zepeda is always easy on the eyes. Valentino Lanus is one that I sometimes find absolutely drop-dead handsome and with other expressions, blegh.

Was the scarf thing sort of a joke? It was funny, all sparkly and everything, but heck, WL looked great.

Someone told Adela Noriega she was too big?! QTH?! Has she changed drastically since the last time I saw her in anything? I remember her as downright skinny.
 

Adela has gotten a little big the couple of times i tune into FELS she look different from the last novela i seen her Mi Esposa es Virgen.Even then she was starting to get a little big, definitely not the same weight when she did El Privilegio de Amar.

I really enjoyed the interview but sometimes WL and Cristina were hard for my understanding. At some point, I thought I almost stopped breathing staring at WL though lol!!! So really thanks for this wonderful recap.

Bravo to JB! I think she said it well. But it would have been really nice if Carla wove even a little bit of JB's personality into MJ's. She seemed a terrific person to be around with, specially with Daniela's gracious comments about her. Hopefully, her next TN role would show more of personality.

After seeing David Z. as himself (no bright scarf, tight pants and scheming mind), I think I'll watch him if he's ever given a galan role. Heck, he was able to annoy be up to my ears as Bruno, so it will be peanuts for him to charm his way around with that smile. He really looks interesting. But I still don't like Gabriel.

Variopinta and Julia- That is so crazy about Adela. She's looked pretty much the same to me in all her roles and the photos I've seen of her from earlier. In her earlier roles it looked like she was as thin as JB, and as she has aged she has thickened up a bit, but she still looks like what I would consider a thin woman. She couldn't have put that much weight on since FELS?
 

Vivi i am ITA with you about this i wonder how much weight they ask her to lose.You remember how we all commented on JB being so thin at the beginning of Sorti.

I happen to like Gabriel Soto and i love his body the only thing he needs to stop doing is getting anymore tattoos on it.

David Z. was great on Gordo Y Flaca but he doesn't show that side enough in his novelas, he already tried the galan part.

he might start getting typecast as a villain since his next role is going to be a villain again in La Duena.
