En Nombre del Amor, February 4, 2010--A Smackdown for the Ages

Carlota goes to what she thinks is going to be a lovefest with Cristobal, only to find that the actor she hired to play Paloma’s father is there too--Cris wants to know why she lied that this guy Basilio was Pal’s father, when he knows that he (Cris) is the father. She insists he’s not the father, but he says he doesn’t need any other proof--with what he feels for Pal, the great love he had with Macarena, and this (he throws some papers at her), this is more than enough. The papers contain the info Carlota sent to Basilio so he could play Pal’s papa and make Mac out to be a tramp. Of course, she denies any involvement and says he can’t prove anything. “But Basilio can.” So Basilio starts to sing like a canary--everything he did was on her instructions. Carlotta-loca slaps him. Cris yells at her that she’s really perverse--doesn't it hurt you to make others suffer because of your damn cruelty? Carlota plays the victim and tries to make up a story about Basilio coming to her and saying he was in love with Mac and was Pal’s pops. Basilio declares that he doesn’t know no Macarena.

Cris sends Basilio to the other room. “Now what do you have to say for yourself?” Carlota finally admits that she hired the guy, but it doesn’t mean Cris is the father. Cris tells her to stop lying and that he will do a DNA test if he has to. But he is positive that Pal is his daughter, the daughter of the great love that “YOUR SISTER [dramatic pause] and I had, that you’ve never had for anyone.” Carlota tries to shove him and insists that her love for him is the biggest in the world. Cris yells “no, yours is everything BUT love. Love is light and mercy but you don’t know anything about that.” He proceeds to cue up an anvil drop by swearing that he’s going to rescue Pal from Carlota’s hate, at the cost of his own life if necessary.

Liliana and Pal chat at a cafe about Gabriel and Emiliano. Lili sees Gabe as an angel in Pal’s life. But boo-hoo, Pal won’t ever be able to forget Emil. Then we hear Emil say “and I’ll never forget you”--he’s standing right behind her. Pal flees the table.

Eugenio is in the other room with Basilio, reading him the riot act for colluding with La Loca.

Carlota thinks that Cris won’t be able to win Pal’s love, and, like the Purple Queen of Hypocrisy that she is, warns him to be careful about telling Pal the truth lest Pal get hurt again. They get into a heated argument with Carlota claiming that everything Pal is (her name, her education, her values) is because of her, and Cris saying it’s because of Mac. Carlota counters that Pal is a child of sin, but Cris comes right back with “she’s a child of love”, and if he has to renounce the priesthood for her, he will. He’s sure that one day Pal will be proud of having united her mother and father. Carlota tries to plant doubts in Cris’s mind by commenting that Mac must not have thought the same way, since she didn’t tell Cris the truth about Pal. He yells that Mac was going to tell him, he’s sure that was going to be her wedding gift to him, because she had spoken to him of a surprise. She tells him he’s stupid and he reiterates what a rotten, low-down dirty creep she is. He doesn’t want to see her ever again--GET OUT! After she leaves he thanks God for the gift of his marvelous daughter.

Pal pouts to Rufi about Emil. Rufi suggests that maybe they’ll get back together after being apart for awhile, like with her and Edmundo. Talk turns to Mexico City and how Pal wants to be someone in life. Rufi mentions Gabe and Pal admits she’s glad about him coming to the city; at his side she doesn’t feel alone. Rufi thinks she should invite Romi and Emil to her birthday/going-away party, but Pal doesn’t think it’s a good idea.

Lili asks Emil why he’s moping. Well, DUH, I wonder why. Blah blah blah Paloma blah blah blah. He informs Lili that he’s going to do the DNA test again. She doesn’t doubt that Romi altered the results. She promises not to tell anyone but thinks he better hurry, since Pal is leaving town soon.

Cris tells Eugenio about signals he got re: Pal being his daughter, but he didn’t know how to see them. He recounts a discussion he had with Pal after Mac had died--flashback of her holding Mac’s necklace and explaining that her father gave it to her mother; Mac had told her the pearl necklace was from the man she loved, so Pal was certain it had to be from her father. Cris feels bad about believing Carlota’s lies about Mac having another man. Eugenio thinks Cris is being too hard on himself; anyone would fall in her trap. Yikes, sounds like another anvil to me. Eug recommends that Cris not rush into telling Pal he’s her father; he should think things through carefully.

Carlota tells herself she’s going to make Pal hate Cris forever. You’re not going to beat me, Cristobal.

Rufi tries to talk some sense into Pal. You’ve forgiven Romi, Emil, Mac--everyone except Cris. Talk to him before you leave town. Pal promises to think about it.

Dario shows up at Angelica’s office and actually has the nerve to ask her to help him and recant her accusation of plagiarism so that he can continue his fake career. She refuses and yells at him to get lost, and even slaps him a couple times (after he asks if she’s getting it on with Orlando and tries to grab her). After he leaves she exclaims, “Yes, I could” (stand up to him, I guess), as if to say “I did it!”

Carlota comes home in a tizzy and demands to know Pal’s whereabouts; Rufi explains that Pal went to give Gabe some cookies as thanks for the computer. Carlota accuses Rufi of telling Cris that Pal is his daughter. Rufi says she didn’t break her promise to Mac to keep quiet, but maybe she gave Cris a little hint. Since Cris isn’t a priest anymore, there’s no reason to keep hiding it, is there? Carlota thinks Rufi better give Cris the hint that if he gets near Pal, she’ll kill him.

Pal asks Gabe’s opinion on Rufi’s suggestion that she invite Emil and Romi to the party. Gabe says something like she should invite Emil because it comes from the heart, not because someone tells her to. It’s important to have closure . . . but does she really want that, or does she want Emil at the party to leave open the possibility of something between them and before she leaves?

Romi whines on the phone to Emil for the millionth time that she misses him and wants him to come back; he sighs heavily that “it’s not you, it’s me.” He repeats for the millionth time that he doesn’t love her. After he tells her not to call anymore and hangs up on her, he tells himself he’s not going to allow her to blackmail him again. “Maybe there is still a possibility for me and Pal.”

Pal adds Emil and Romi to her list of guests but then crosses them off (I think--bad camera angle). In his room, Gabe suddenly has another episode and falls and nearly passes out but is able to take one of his pills in time. Pal hears him fall and comes running. He convinces her that he was just dizzy. She gets stuff to treat his wound.

Anamar visits Emil to declare that she still loves him. She knows he’s going to get a divorce and is in love with someone who’s leaving town, but she’s going to stay in Real del Monte, find a job, etc. She wants him to give her a chance and she’s willing to wait.

Eugenio returns to Gabe’s place and, when he sees what happened, asks Gabe if he took his you-know-whats and Gabe cuts him off with a quick “yes.” The significance of this little exchange goes unnoticed by Pal. Eugenio then insists on accompanying Pal home. After Pal leaves the room, Eug looks a little mad and asks Gabe if he’s really ok. Yes dad, don’t worry. Once he’s alone, he says “It’s going to be so hard to leave you” and takes out some paper and starts writing (or drawing?).

Cris and Padres Benito and Mateo discuss Carlota’s evilness--she's the devil incarnate. Padre B believes Carlota knows perfectly well the harm that she causes. And now that she herself has confessed to you (Cris), I can reveal that she confessed to me--when she learned you might leave to become a bishop she came into the confessional and told me everything. Padre M asks if Cris is going to return to the priesthood, but Cris doesn’t know what he’s going to do. Padre B advises him to take the path that will allow him to protect Paloma and get her away from that ridiculous nutjob.

Pal arrives home and gets yelled at (and nearly smacked) by a flailing, Looney Tunes (no pun intended) Tasmanian devil-esque Carlota (a Carlotian devil?) until Eugenio says “she was with me”. He and Carlota chit chat about Pal being a lovely girl or something like that. Rufi and Pal leave. Carlota asks about Gabe but Eugenio says he was just dizzy. She invites him in but he wants to make sure Gabe is ok. But he says he’ll see her tomorrow, unless she wants to cancel their meeting. Oh no, of course not, I think it’s important that we talk. He thinks one day she’ll forgive him for being sure that Cris was innocent; she says why don’t you ask if one day you will forgive yourself for having let him go free?

Luz is making plans about bringing Xochitl home but Rafael reminds her that they don’t know yet if they’ll get her. She feels Xochitl was destined for her. She talks about how she can’t sit home doing nothing; Rafa mentions working at his office but Luz thinks one of his associates wouldn’t appreciate that. Besides, they should each have their own space, their own world. She has decided what hers is, but won’t tell him what it is yet.

Orlando relays some news to Camila that he got from Angelica--first, that the baby is going home soon; second, that Mr. Gibson in Houston wants to talk to him in person. He suggests they go home for a couple days, then go to Houston for a couple more days and from there continue their honeymoon in Europe. She thinks it’s a great idea.

Carlota yells at Pal some more for coming home late. She’s worried about Pal because there are people who want to belittle her in front of Pal. She claims that Cris threatened to disparage her if she doesn’t convince Pal to forgive him. Pal’s response is, I don’t know what the deal is between you two, but it doesn’t interest me in the least, and I’m not going to listen to anything from either him or you. Nighty-night.

Carlota storms into her room and starts looking through her drawers for something. She takes a box down from the top of the bureau and looks inside. She seems to find what she was searching for and sighs in relief; then she contorts into another one of her self-satisfied smirks with glowing eyes.

Avances: Romi and German fool around some more; Cris meets with Dr. B.

Oh Debbie you had a rock em' and sock em' recap for last night's episode. Thanks so much for the recap.

Miss looneytunes is totally off her rocker, to continue to lie about the actor when he was right there unbelievable and downright stupid.

Bravo to Cris for telling her once and for all how perverse she is and is totally incapable of love.

I feel Eugenio let us down though he should had that room set up with a video tape and recorded everything that happen.

Also i would have called child services when he brought Paloma home Carloca was getting ready to smack her into next week.Until he spoke up and told her Paloma was with him.

Rufi should have called the police or at least the Padre Cadres about Carloca's threat to kill Cris.

Is it the water or the air quality in RDM that's effecting these people common sense concerning Carloca? Maybe it's a combination of both.

I was surprised Angelica gave Dario a beat down cleary she has a backbone that her friend Miriam is lacking.

Love how Paloma is talking back to the Purple one.

I wonder what the heck is in that bos that made the Purple beast happy with her next plot.

Does this put her attempt to murder Dr.B on the back burner?

When are they going to have Paloma birthday, now it sounds like it's farther away again.

Debbie, this was wonderful, and boy, was I glad you had already posted it. I sat down to see the big confrontation and found out I’d messed up my taping. Alas! So I ran to the computer and found your recap. Thank you so much.

It’s just amazing that that Basilio guy would be so heartless as to stand there saying terrible things to Paloma and making her cry, and now show up to say it was all a setup. I wonder if Eugenio slipped him some cash to do it..

I thought Eugenio was telling Basilio how he could sink that low and do a job like that, no matter how much he was paid.

I also thought he was giving him a warning about he would no longer have a acting career if he did something like this again.

Thanks Deb. Just following this in recaps, but can't wait until Cris finally tells Paloma he's her father. Sure wish Gabriel didn't have to die.

Wonderful title and the pacing of the recap was great. Never a dull moment. Thanks, amiga.

Thank you Deb. Again, problems with the reception on the channel last night so your great recap is really appreciated.

This was definitely a smackdown night, though I have to admit, I'm not as interested in the whole Dario/Angelica scenario. But a few slaps to a creep are fun to watch nonetheless.

But Cris and La Loca. Woohoo. There was no backing off for the man of the church. He was right in her face and for every jibe she gave, he gave it right back. So now he knows, when will he tell Pal?

As for Pal, she too looks like her father's daughter and is giving it right back to her auntie. You can tell this is the beginning of the end because everyone is on to her Supreme Purpleness and starting to fight back. Seems like the local equivalent of the EPA must have come in and cleaned up the air and water. Common sense is returning to RDM.

I hate to admit this, I know he's our main "squeeze" on the show, but I actually feel bummed when Emote gets on screen for any reason. And those endless into the camera "mope" scenes, ARGH! So Anamar is sticking around? There must be a plot twist coming because otherwise I see no reason for her there.

Now I am convinced that Gabe's issue is his heart and is more than likely coronary heart disease which though with medication can be "treated" for a period of time,is considered fatal. A person I know who was diagnosed was told that life span was limited and that because it could be fatal at any time, they should get affairs in order. They lived a fairly normal life for a couple more years before having a fatal attack. I just wish they would spill his condition fully now that viewerville has gotten two episodes now to see. And poor Eugenio. How hard that has to be for him to see.

More evilness from La Loca, though I'm thinking she's getting like Bruno on Sorti, her madness is starting to take her over fully and her plans are more and more erratic and stupid. And let's get Pal over the 18 hump already!!

Daisynjay it thought Carloca crossed that threshold into Bruno's territory from Sorti with the cup of coffee accident. The showdown between La Loca and Cris was amazing i was on the edge of my bed not trying to miss one word of it.

Daisy you're right Emoon does emote too darn much in his acting he needs to go and take some remedial classes.I wonder what their purpose is for keeping Anamar around also.

I am so tired of them delaying the 18th birthday already let's get the party started.

Wasn't La Loca supposed to bump off Dr.B last night but change her plans when she thought she was going to hook up with Cris.

Thanks for the terrific recap of this episode. Lots happened. Varying range of emotions for characters and viewers alike.

Emo should have stopped Pal before she left. He told Gabe he would fight for her. How hard is it to say"I moved out and I want to try start over" way to go Emo!

Carloca had quite the evening. ITA with all who believe she is driving herself completely insane. She will make a careless mistake hopefully before she sends someone else to The Great Beyond.

Carlita just like the character RoMEna is a combination of Carloca,Diana and her own mother Camila.

Emoon is a combination of Orlando his biological selfish dad which he has displayed concerning Paloma at not leaving her alone since he made the choice to marry RoMEna. Then there is Rafael who told Camila that he was getting a divorce from Diana and he wanted her but he did not have the right to tell her to wait trying to do the right thing because Diana was giving him a difficult time about the divorce.i guess that's why he didn';t speak up.

Anon...Good point. Maybe they can start a support group together.

I can't help but hope that Emo finds a noble way to win back Pal especially since our poor Gabe is apparently doomed. That will be hard to sit through...sniff...sniff

Anon...I also wish there could have been some recording of this whole hotel incident. They had the resources to actually find this actor without having his name and they don't think of evidence? It is definately the water.

Carlita LOL that's why i have to the genius out of Don Eugenius and just call him smart. Did you see Carloca's reaction to him when she was getting ready to slap the taste out of Paloma.

Debbie: You did a pivotal, fascinating episode more than justice - your detailed recap was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the humor you interspersed throughout particularly "He proceeds to cue up an anvil drop". Simply great.

Wonderful comments everyone.

Agree the exchange between Cris and Carlota was steaming and satisfying. Once again, a rejection spurs Carlota on for even greater vengence.

On the topic of anger, I don't know if Angelica was brave or foolish to stand up to Dario. He is volatile and the fact she not only got away without him physically hurting her but that she hit him without retaliation was most welcome but rather astonishing. Somehow, I don't think he's going away.

Speaking of going away, when will the roof fall on Diana? I'm looking forward to her realization Sam has slimed out for good!

Anamar loves Anamar so she can't fathom Emiliano won't as well. Please leave - you have no chance. Emiliano already has one clinging woman he doesn't love, he really doesn't need another.

I'm feeling very sad for Gabe (and Eugenio) also. If he must die, please don't let him suffer as Inaki and Mac did.

Diana

Anon: The cost of making an enemy out of Carloca-Your Life. The cost of catching Carloca lose her temper in that scene-PRICELESS!!!

I don't speak much Spanish and enjoy the site to get most of the words, but it appeared that when Gabriel ate a bit of the "cookies" that he had an episode. When his father came in and saw the plate of goodies, he rushed to see how his son was.

Had to love it when Miss Purple was about to smack the stuffing out of Paloma and Don E stepped up. He never said a thing about what looked like a nasty about to be smackdown which did disappoint me but it did save Paloma at least for the moment. Ah the mystery box that the loca one is looking at. She wants to make Paloma hate Cris so my suspicion is that the infamous pictures are about to appear again. She will no doubt try to convince the girl that Cris attacked her. She will have to be very selective with the pictures.

While I hate the way Paloma is treating Cris (the only person in the universe she seems incapable of forgiving) I can't help but think it might be a wake up call to Cris about the way he is reacting to his own mother. There is such an interesting family dynamic involved.

Anamar the confident still doesn't get it. Apparently an anvil has to fall on her head to get the message across that hell will freeze over before Emoon would ever love her. She is just one of those annoying gnat like characters that always show up in novelas.

While the idea of taping the confrontation in the hotel room is interesting it would serve no purpose other then showing it to Paloma and the men involved certainly don't want to add more pain to the girl's life. There is nothing illegal about what the Purple Beast did, unfortunately.

Doc B got a reprieve and Cris moved to the top of the hit list, and I suspect Don E is in second place for his defense of Cris. He is also smart enough to take the purple one someplace rather than have coffee or tea in the House of Death.

Poor Bernie going home to a clueless mother. Does she have the faintest idea of how to take care of a baby? I seriously doubt it.

Clever Orly coming up with the excuse of a couple of days in Houston and then off to Europe. Frankly I don't understand why he has to stay in Houston when any executive in his company could do the job. It seems like a contrived plot point to me.

Thanks for the recap Debbie. Carloca is probably going to go into overdrive now. What is it, about 4 weeks left, a little over 20 capitulos? Should be a lot of action to finish this off.

Hopefully Rufi now gets a clue as to how nasty Carloca really is. Yes Rufi, she can kill someone. Rufi has always had trouble going so far as to believe Carloca could be a murderer.

decie girl.. ITA, clever, clever Orly. Wow, what do you know. They just asked me to move to Houston. wink, wink, nod, nod, nudge, nudge.

At least the Padre Cadre knows how loca she is. So if you tell someone your confessional secrets, the padre can then spill the bean about it, too.

I don't know what Carloca is really thinking about Eugenius. I can't quite tell if she thinks she can get something from him or not. I don't think she has added him to her hit list yet. I would say Dr B or Gabe would go before pJC. I think she will want to off quite a few people or hurt a lot a people and torment him by telling him it is because of him and what he did to her. It's all your fault Cris! :)

Diana.. agree with you about Angie, not sure if good or bad to beat down Dario. Have to think he will resurface. Maybe Orly will beat him down in the end and realize Angie is the woman for him. Why she would want him? Don't know. :)

Wonderful recap, Debbie, and your recap and the comments have me chuckling.

The Box...the Box! I think whatever is in there is not an extra purple sweater or scarf but something evil for the Evil Purple Virgin to use in her revenge against all the good guys in RdM. It could be the photos, will, money but probably not. She keeps her stash of belladonna under the counters in the kitchen. They'll probably tease us for a while like they do with all boxes, chests, cofres in the novelas.

I, too, thought Angelica was putting herself in danger by antagonizing Dario. She was all by herself and trapped behind the desk in that office. I thought she might be a goner and she knew Dario throttled poor Miriam (?) earlier. I guess she caught Dario off balance and maybe he can only take advantage of the weak as Debbie mentioned.

Dr. B has dodged Carloca's revenge twice. Hope Ninja Loca has forgotten about him since keeping Chris away from Pal may be her newest mission. And Rufi's been blabbing a lot so he may be 3rd on Loca's long list.

Guess Gabe has a heart defect and not a brain tumor after all. Still I'd like him for Pal rather than Emoony aka as Emotetoomuch. Great name by someone creative. Ha ha. I will miss Gabe and will have to wipe away a few tears for him.

GinCA

Thanks for the great recap, Debbie. I like your pointing out all the fate-tempting that's going on. I agree, the writers must have gotten a bulk discount on anvils this week.

I was worried about Ange. We know Dario can be violent; she should have taken that argument outside where there might be other people around.

Where can one buy Anamar's superconfidence? Honey, if he loved you, he wouldn't have dumped you, moved away, and not spoken to you for a year.

I need to stock up on tissues in case of Gabriel's demise. I like him sooooo much better than Emoony, even if he's doing a fair bit of mooning himself lately.

Just got home- early closing because of the snow- and turned on the boob tube to find out what time the famous bath scene from Amor Real that everyone has been talking about will come on. Instead I got the serendipitous surprise of finally seeing Paloma have an 18th b-day party! Well, not really. It was Mili from Guapos (a 15 year old Alison), and there was a b-day cake, a mariachi band, and singing by Mili and some nuns. And a not so nice galan that kissed her in a much more passionate way than any of her galans on ENDA have, and Don Eugenio being an evil dude married to Camila, and Romena and Venus from MEPS being sexy in their bathing suits. Wow! Why didn't I watch this thing the first time around? :) Lol!

Jeff: I think if her Purpleness was throwing Eugenius into the same pot as Dr.B or Cris, I don't think there would been her total about face when he surprised her as she ranted at Pal. It was like someone flipped a switch. I think there is something about him that gets to her even if she doesn't admit it, and he cleverly and very smoothly plays to her ego to throw her off slightly. She's losing her control with a lot of folks, and she needs to maintain this holier-than-thou persona she's created with the rest of our players. She doesn't know he was in on the reveal of the fake daddy, so she still thinks she can snow him. Hey, he makes ME sigh, and she is after all sort-of,kind-of human too. Can't have Cris, maybe she'll try for the counselor. Poor guy, but he can handle her.

Excellent recap, Debbie. Really liked Carlotta-loca. Peniche and Calderón were ON FIRE last night in that scene. It was so great to see Cris really give it to her between the eyes. I don't think he's ever been that angry in this TN before. He was drowning her voice out with loud righteous anger. This makes me wonder if she finally got the message and now is only concentrating on keeping him away from Paloma and bumping him off. Of course, she's gone back to delusional thinking about their happy life in her mind before after he tells her off.

Yes, Anamar is annoying. Are there really that many Mexican women who hotly pursue men who vocally tell them they love someone else? There sure are plenty in TNs.

It is hard to tell what La Loca feels about Eugenio. She made a face behind his back one time right after cooing at him. So I don't think she's really interested in him as a potential man in her life. But she likes male attention which boosts her ego and makes her think it's more likely Cris will come around. She was sort of intrigued with Samuel for a while until he confronted her about being in the hospital in Pachuca.

Vivi, Guapos is on again?!!!!!

I love that show! Mili and Alejandro had so much more chemistry than Paloma and Emo do, and Ms. Lozz was even younger then.

Plus, the secondary characters were so great. I absolutely loved Rocky the chofer, now seen as Arni on Gancho.

Also, the comedic elements...I specifically remember a scene in which Mili coerced all the guys into doing a firemen act in a strip club, and then there was this avocado face mask incident...

Now I want to watch the whole thing again.

Rufi and Paloma really need to get out of that house, especially after La Loca made that direct threat to Rufi about Cris. Rufi is a sweetheart, but if she only had a few more mental capabilities...

Advice for Gabe: Keep your life saving pills on you.

I had to laugh last night when they changed scenes and there's Emiliano staring in the mirror with that sad-assed face. If you think Allison Loz hates the role she's playing how do you think Sebastian whateverhisnameis feels?

~Caborita

Right, I'd hate to see an actor getting himself into "sad-sack" mode; how depressing.

And, yes, if Gabe needs those pills in emergencies, why are they in a drawer instead of in his pocket?

Vivi and Julia,
Guapos started Monday, 2/1. I absolutely loved this novela. Allison was wonderful in the role of Milagros and I much preferred her spunkie self than the role she is playing now. But, I am really enjoying this novela, especially Cesor Evora(Eugenio)and I really like Gabriel. Thanks to all the recappers. I have been following this site since LFMB.
Miranda

Oh. I wish I could watch Guapos again ( and no recorder working). What I loved about that TN was that the secondary characters and their stories were just as fun and enjoyable as the main gang. Though I like ENDA and SORTI, some of the side stories and their characters are not as intriguing.

Angelli Nesma, the producer of Al Diablo Con Los Guapos and Un Gancho Al Corazón, is working on a new novela that has just started production. Altair Jarabo, Laura Flores and César Évora are going to be in it. Évora and Flores are going to play good characteres and Jarabo will be the young antagonist (there's also going to be an older antagonist played by Azela Robinson).

Jarocha

Jarocha glad you pop in what did people think of the Mujeres Asesinas 2 series i saw the second episode last night and was chilled.

I think it is a well produced, directed, acted and filmed series and i consider it one of the best shows on tv period.

Thanks for the info Jarocha. I love to watch Cesar for any reason, and it will be good to see he and Laura team up again as the good guys.

Anon: People love Mujeres Asesinas in México. I think all the actresses in Televisa want to be part of that show. If you saw Soledad Cautiva, that was the most popular episode from the second season. I truly think it did wonders for Angelique Boyer's career. She's been talked about nonstop after it aired.

daisynjay yeah, it's gonna be nice seeing them together again. Laura's character is going to be pretty eccentric and a little crazy but good hearted so that will be nice to see.

Jarocha

Jarocha i was absolutely chilled by last night's episode with Angelique Boyer's portrayal.Any chance the producer Pedro torres wants to do any novelas i read hes had made several films.

Well, Pedro has said he has plans to do a sort of novela-series about a group of lawyers working on the (corrupt) Mexican legal system. He has said he envisions Edith González in the main role and he wants Fernando Colunga in a semi evil role as a charismatic but double faced lawyer. He has been developing the proyect for a while now but he is too busy at the moment with Mujeres Asesinas, a miniseries about the Mexican independence and a image proyect for the states of the Mexican Republic to start any production on it.

Jarocha

Thanks so much for the inside information from México, Jarocha. We always appreciate your input.

The series about lawyers sounds fascinating. I really like Edith González and would love to see Colunga as a sort of bad guy. He does tough and angry really well. But that's mostly been shown in telenovelas when he's acting with the villains. He's always very sweet with his friends and the female protagonist in his roles.
