Sortilegio 2/11 The Investigation Continues

Sortilegio 2/11/10

From yesterday:
Victoria and Felipa--Fernando loves you. I know. You are right. I’m stupid. Well maybe just a little.

Tio was glad to see MJ and Alex. Alex has to tell Tio about Nando’s accident. He lies and says it was an accident at work and he broke his leg. He’s getting therapy. Tio wants to visit him and Alex tries to talk him out of it. He’s like a son to me.

Today:
The cops are visiting Elena. They want to ask her a bunch of questions.
Dr. Kruger is in Canada at a conference. She invites them in and cop #1 says they are interested in the kidnapping of MJ. They have a few questions. They want to know why she insisted that MJ was her other daughter Sandra. She says that they were confused because when they found her she was in a coma. The cops are looking at her like uh huh--sure. She continues explaining that Sandra was into drugs and they thought she had overdosed. The cop wants to know who found “Sandra” and Elena tells him about Useless. He was a friend of hers from Spain. He found her and brought her to the rehab in Mexico. No one ever suspected that Useless had switched Sandra with MJ? Of course not. So you went to Merida to see Sr. Lombardo. Of course. He took my daughter. And who told you where he was? His brother, Bruno. Ah—Bruno says cop #2. So when the doctor said that “Sandra” was really MJ they said you accused Useless. Didn’t you talk to Bruno about Useless changing your daughter for MJ? I didn’t say anything about him. The other cop chimes in and wants to know about Dr. Evil and suggests that what he gave MJ was not authorized by the medical association. Elena gets defensive and says that her husband does important research He is a serious doctor. Yeah, right. Cop #1 wants to know when Dr. Evil returns from Canada. She says she doesn’t know. The cops leave and they look like they don’t believe a word she said.

Over at Porfirio’s. Porfirio is in bed not looking very well. Iseas runs in looking like my siblings and I did when we would slide across the hardwood floor in our socks. Except he didn’t smash into the wall, break anything, or get grounded. He tells Por that his grandaughter is here with the baby. Por perks right up at that news. In they come and Por is overjoyed to see them. He is really taken with Tiny Tony. He’s very handsome and strong. He wants the nurse to give him a photo of his son. Look it is the same. Alex has the look like, “Not so much really, but ok.” He laughs that fake laugh that my first husband used to do when something wasn’t really funny. But he doesn’t comment. Por says this is the happiest time in my life. It’s a miracle. I have a granddaughter and a great grandson. My blood will continue. I am very satisfied. He kisses MJ’s hand. Tiny Tony makes the “I have gas face”and sticks out his tongue. What a cutie.

Back at Mengele Manor, Elena gets on the phone with Dr. Evil. She gets voice mail and leaves a message that he needs to contact her as soon as possible. The cops were here investigating.

MJ and Alex are leaving Por and heading back to the hotel. FF>>They say good-bye to Iseas. MJ wants him to take care of her grandfather. He assures her that he will. Don’t worry. FF>>

The nurse shows up at Elena’s. Elena wants to know if everything is ok with Porfirio. She spills the beans about MJ and family being there. She said he was happy about his granddaughter visiting. Elena looks impactada! She should--heifer. Elena gets on the phone with Dr. Evil. She asks how it is going and he says that they are imbeciles. They are afraid of advanced medicine. They aren’t real up on what he’s doing and are afraid and stupid. FF>> Then you are not interested in the investigation. They asked me questions about Useless, Sandra and MJ. Of course you answered correctly. Of course. MJ and her husband and their baby came to visit with Porfirio today. What child? The great grandson of Porfirio. Dr. Evil wants to know if MJ came to visit her. No. You need to go to Merida and talk to her. She is our only hope.

Nando is having his PT with the pretty therapist. She wants him to move his legs. Victoria looks on. He asks her about her schooling, and her family. Victoria makes her “I’m jealous but trying not to be” face and gets up and walks away.

Back at the Casa Victoria is telling Felipa how she’s not jealous. Ok, you keep on believing that. She is young and beautiful. He ignores me when she is there. Felipa is like don’t get your panties in a wad. She’s sure that Nando is just talking to her while they do their exercises. Vicky says they talk about things that don’t include her. All she has to talk about are things that happen at the house, and her kids. The competition has much more interesting things to talk about. Felipa thinks she is being silly. Yawn…FF>> Victioria is trying to convince herself that it’s better this way. Felipa says she has good news and bad news. Things are happening with her book deal. That’s the good news. The bad news is that Raquel wants to have Useless cremated and something I didn’t understand.

Emiliano is talking to Hernan who is glad to see him. He’s come to see his nephew. How is he doing? He’s better considering the accident was so bad its amazing he’s not dead. Tio looks confused. Alex said he broke his leg on the job. Dr. Big Mouth says it is understandable that Alex didn’t want to worry him. Nando is strong and young and with therapy he will walk again. Tio is impactada! He’s paralyzed?! Yes, didn’t I just say that?

Tio goes in to see Nando. You shouldn’t have come. Alex didn’t tell me the truth to not worry me. Hernan says his body is responding to therapy. You will get out of bed. Tio says he needs to know these things. They are family. Fernando says he won’t keep things from him again. FF>>

Vicky is talking with Raquel who is hugging the box containing the useless ashes of Useless.

Alex is talking to the cop. (Somebody fill-in here. It was way too fast.) The cop said they asked the same questions. Then who do we suspect? Alex says he knows who is responsible—dun, dun, dun—Quien? My brother Bruno. The cop says they checked him out and he is clean. (I guess that depends on your definition of “clean.” If his precious scarves are straight and his shirt isn’t rumpled then yeah--I guess he’s clean.) Alex wants to know what is going on with Dr. Evil. The cop says he’s in Vancouver. Alex wants to know when he gets back. Uh, we don’t know. He can come and go as he pleases. And besides he doesn’t have any motive. (I think I’m going to call him Inspector Clouseau because he is a moron). Mrs. Evil said that Useless took her but she wasn’t Sandra. There are witnesses that say that Useless didn’t take her. What about my wife. They erased her memory and put her mental health in danger. The mother gave authorization.

Dr. Evil is back in town and goes over to see Porfirio. Well, if it isn’t the esteemed Dr. Matasanos (quack—where have we heard that one before?) Dr. E wants to know how Por is doing. He’s just so happy since he got to see his great- grandchild. Dr. Evil says oh, swell, I’m happy for you. MENTIROSO! You know he’s thinking how unfortunate for ME. Por goes on to give him even more good news; He’s left all his stuff to MJ with the provision that she not give any money, not one red cent, ni uno centavo to your damn clinic! It’s done. Dr. E with a menacing face says “As you like it”(or as it pleases you.) I think what he’s really saying is “There will be blood. Oh yes--there will be blood.”

Alex wants MJ to have a DNA test done so they will know the truth. MJ is not so hot on the idea. FF>>

Dr. Evil wants Mrs. Evil to convince MJ to give them some money. Yeah I see that happening. She asks him why he can’t do it. He says because you are her mother for better or for worse. He continues to rant about others being stupid and imbeciles.

Alex buys MJ a car she is so excited. He wants her to take it for a drive. I didn’t know she could drive.

Victoria is talking to her agent. Fernando calls. She hesitates and then answers. He wants to know why she hasn’t been to see him. She gives him some BS about being busy with her book. He loves her and doesn’t understand why she is acting so strange. Tell me what is going on. She hangs up on him and cries.

Maura and Lissette. Maura gets a call. Mari tells her there is a meeting of the associates tomorrow. Maura gets upset about seeing Alex and MJ together.

Alex is talking to Nando. Nando is whining because Victoria hasn’t been to see him and doesn’t want to talk to him. Alex doesn’t know anything. Whiner FF>>

MJ is hanging out with Pedro and the baby enjoying a nice afternoon and talking about the wedding. Oh look, it’s the Wicked Witch of the West flying in on her broom—Maybe if MJ clicks her ruby slippers together 3 times a flying house will land on The Witch. EZ greets Elena with a very snotty Buenas Tardes. She says she’s here to see her daughter. EZ doesn’t look too happy and neither does Pedro. She wants to talk to MJ in private but Pedro has finally grown a set and isn’t having any of it. He gets upset and says if she has anything to say she can say it with him present. She looks down her nose at him. He says she is responsible for everything that has happened. If she was a real mother Sandra would never have been on drugs. It’s her fault that Sandra is dead. You go Pedro. He begs MJ not to go talk to her alone. MJ walks off with Elena and EZ makes a beeline for the house looking for Vicky. I didn’t know the old dude could move that fast. He’s always kind of reminded me of a turtle with his little bald head and that collar on his jacket. Pedro tells MJ that he’s here if she needs him.

Break

Elena tells MJ that Pedro isn’t her father. Yeah, so I heard. Elena swears its true. Vicky comes out of the house and asks Pedro what’s up. Pedro thinks Elena is trying to put one over on MJ. MJ tells Elena she doesn’t care if Pedro is her biological father—she loves him anyway. Now we get to the gist of the matter—we need money. JorHey is a brilliant doctor and they need money for the clinic. Pedro and Vicky scuttle furtively behind them. It’s cracking me up for some reason. MJ says she doesn’t have Por’s money so what does she want. Por is going to leave all his money to you. Don’t abandon us, don’t abandon the clinic. It’s not working so she tries—I’ll tell your dad that you’re not really his daughter. What a heifer. No redemption.

Back inside Alex, MJ and Vicky are talking. She must have told them what heifer said because she is upset and crying. Vicky thinks if she finds out for sure then Elena will never be able to hold that over her head. They try to convince her but she’s not sure.

Bruno knocks on the door of Erik’s cousin’s apartment. Ruh Roh, Shaggy! He wants to know what happened to Erik. She said he was hurt pretty bad and in pain. Bruno wants to know if he’s dead. And not “Oh My God is he dead!” But more like “Is the desgraciado infeliz finally dead?” She says no they went to the doctor. He’s doing pretty well. He gives her a card where to call him and some money.

Fernando is home!

Vicky is talking to Felipa when Raquel shows up. She said she’s feeling better but she feels really alone. Vicky says she could have therapy. Other people do it and they come out fine. Or you could take a vacation. She doesn’t like that idea either. To her credit she does ask about Nando. He’s ok. She’s surprised that Vicky hasn’t seen him but she thinks he’s too young for her. She leaves but comes back in and says sorry, I’m leaving.

Tio and Katia try to make him comfortable. He wants to see Sami. While Katia is gone Tio asks Nando about Victoria. Nando says she hasn’t come to see him. Tio says well call her then. Tell her you are home.

Chucho and Pedro. He’s back to whining and telling Chucho about Elena. Chucho says think about it—why does she want to talk to MJ alone?

Back to Elena and JorHey. They are trying to figure out what to do now. They need to get Por to change his will—by FORCE. Apparently they don’t know that “forcing” someone to change their Will makes it invalid.

MJ and Alex are explaining to Paula how Elena says MJ is the child of another father. Paula is really upset. She HATES Elena. Maybe Paula will get to be the one to get revenge on Elena. Four more days and counting!

Hi everybody! The dialogue was fast and furious tonight so I apologize in advance if I left something out. Please feel free to correct. I'll post a title in the morning. Can someone tag it for me? Thanks.

Entertaining recap Connie. Thanks.
I welcome the gradual return to civility of poor Raquel.

I have to wonder why elena did not drive herself to Merida. Same thing with Alex and family when travelling to toluca.

If you force someone to change their will, it is invalid in the US. Do you know if it is the same in Mexico? We did not see Jimena the nurse today but Fernando came home and so begins the extensive rehab. Perhaps Victoria silently wonders if Fernando can still 'Perform'. Hmmm.

I wonder what the meeting's agenda will be and what Maura will find out there. Did you guys notice when Bruno gave Erick's cousin's wife money, he dropped it on the floor. And when she retrieved the money, Her eyes were wide as saucers. Twas a good episode.

Ibarramedia

Connie you cover pretty much everything thank you.

For Vicki as someone said last week you can't fix stupid moving on.

So done with the Blaaaaaaaaaaah Raqhell storyline so not believable moving on.

Bruno now several days later you want to check on how Pimp Daddy E is doing, you are such a moron it's so unbelievable how you get away with all of your crimes now.You are so lucky Erick didn't die right next to Mateo and his buddies.

If anyone had a doubt or a wish that Elena can be redeemed i think last night has hopefully put that idea to rest.

Haha Dr. Demented was so sure of his self that he was going to get that job in Canada and leave Elena high and dry.I was laughing at her smirking at him when he came back tail between his legs.

I would love to see them try to force Porfirio to sign a will with all of his money going to them. Since he is rich and powerful and that's counts for a lot in Mexico i imagine that he can finally get them both thrown into jail were they both belong.

Pedro who knew you had a pair but you're so late with your anger also as much as it definitely was Elena's fault for how Sandra turned out. You're at fault too because you should have went and brought her back.

Loved how Ezeke was cold with the jackal about not letting her see MJ and then Elena just brushed him aside anyway.I don't understand why Tomas who guards the gated front of the Lombardo property let her in without getting the ok from Vicki or Alex.

Finally MJ i'm tired of your stupidity too,I so wanted to shake some sense into her last night.Hello DNA test get it done no more doubts.

It's tagged Connie. On internet, it has your title. On Mozilla it just has Sortilegio. Either way, it will lead to your recap.

Loved your image of Ezekiel as a turtle. I've grown quite fond of that old turtles throughout this series and have the silly hope that he and Felipa might end up a couple. They already bicker and tease like an old married couple, they might as well be one. And frankly, I'd rather see Victoria with Tio Emilio and Fernando making babies with the physical therapist. But oh well, this is not my telenovela and I'm not on the writing team.

Apparently we now know why Dr. Demented research and making a mind erasing drug has not been accepted by the medical association in Mexico and why Canada wants no part of it either. It not only erases your memory but totally wipes out any sign of intelligence at all.

Sorry i can't take Paula pint peeling screeching my ears start to ring had to hit the mute button for her scene.

Det. Clueless how about asking Elena how could she not know it wasn't Sandra first by asking when was the last time she has seen her daughter and what about her tattoos.

Running off to work but wanted to thank you for the recap and throw in a few things.

- Alex gave MJ an amored/bullet proof SUV (Elena taught her how to drive in Toluca) to keep her safe and secure. That was a big old anvil alert to me. I have a feeling MJ will have an unfortunate incident thanks to "Mr. If I can't have her, Alex can't either", but won't know her car is basically a tank and she'll survive to his surprise. That's jusy my guess.

-Raq agreed to give Vicky custody of little Vicky. And although she's doing well for now, Vicky says she's not cured of her addiction, needs to go to rehab for a few months, and to think of it as a vacation (not that she should go on vacation).

-MJ is more concerned about Pedro being heart broken if she isn't his blood daughter and thinks the only way they can find out for sure is by having him do a dna test with her. Vicky comes up with the brilliant idea that Pedro doesn't have to do the test and doesn't have to know anything. If MJ and Paula do the test and their dna (both mom and dad) correspond then they'll know if Elena is a liar or not. That's what they were requesting that Paula the brat do when she lost it at the end. She then wanted to know from Alex (who recently did the test with his siblings) if it hurts. She really is a big five year old.

Oh, also felt that Vicky was being a b!tch to Fernando. Hello! The man needs your support now more than ever. How many times has he been there for her? And just because he has a polite conversation with his therapist. Then she doesn't even give him a reason, hangs up on him in the middle of a call, doesn't visit. I was really ticked off at her. She doesn't deserve Fer.

A small thing I noticed, and appreciated, as one of Cuco's loyal fans: Raquel's redemption must be complete because Cuco did not bark at her as he used to and he ran over to her when she entered the room. He was pleasant and friendly to her the whole time. If you'll remember their previous meeting, Cuco growled at a drunk Raquel as she screamed at and confused a fragile MariaJose/Sandra.

Now, where was Cuco when Elena showed up?

(And Katia, don't think your little Sami can ever compete with Cuco. The one bright side of our show only lasting four more days is that you'll never become a vet long enough to touch the brilliant Cuco.)

Connie - thanks for the recap. Great job, and yes a lot of the dialogue was difficult to follow.

Why does Raquel make the decisions on Useless’ remains? Doesn’t he have family?

Vicki is acting like a 9th grader --- 'Fernando is talking about things to his PT that don’t include me.'

I sense an anvil over Porfirio’s head when Dr. Evil came back. Porfirio, don’t tell the jerk you can’t stand that you are going to write him out of your will. Hel-lo?!?!

Just when I thought Pedro grew a pair when he didn’t want MJ to go talk alone with Elena, he backs off. Argh……

Why don’t these people get a quickie DNA test to prove Pedro is MJ and Paula’s father??? Que the ****?

MJ's car is bulletproof? I missed that. I thought it looked like Rudolph the red-nosed BMW.

re: Cuco/Raqi ---- I know someone who knew when her son was on drugs, because the dog would growl at him. Only the dog knew when he was stoned and straight.

One thing I noticed is that the maids quietly left the scene with the babies. First I saw little Victoria with her maid leaving from behind while talks were getting louder, seconds later A maid took Tony from Victoria's arms. Good thinking on their part. No need to expose the babies to all that yelling ans screaming by Pedro.

I noticed Cuco did not bark at Raquel too. Paula's hysterics drove me nuts last night. I was though bubbling to myself, Paula just pipe down will you.

If they really love Pedro, no matter what the DNA test says, he will always be their father and it should mean nothing unless it is a medical issue. Whoever their supposed real father was, if it was their father is dead and they never ever met him saved for the late Sandra.

Tonight I await Erik's fate and I'd like to see what he will do about Bruno's betrayal. I wonder if his cousin's wife will spill the beans to them or keep quiet. We shall see.

JudyB I too thought before that Ezekiel and Felipa should hook up and get together. they do bicker a lot like and old couple. "And frankly, I'd rather see Victoria with Tio Emilio and Fernando making babies with the physical therapist." Good line. I like that. I like the making babies with Jimena from FELs (The physical therapist)

I wonder if everyone is having a good morning today, I sense a lot of dripping bitterness in some posts today.

Ibarramedia

Thanks for filling that in Vivi. I didn't pick up on the armored car at all. I'd rather have a Hummer or something like that. I swear Alex had way too many Monster drinks or something. He is really hard to follow when he gets rolling.

I'm pissed at Vicky too. I felt sorry for Fernando.

Doris you're right, cuco didn't bark or growl at Raquel at all. how funny? I've always said that Dogs are a good judge of character. After all they read energy and can tell when someone has bad energy.

Doris, I too wondered about Ulises family. All this time he seemed like a wandering nomad for the rich and famous. He was seen bouncing around from house to house, from party scene tom party scene, Spain to Mexico, Toluca too Merida. A classic opportunist.

Ibarramedia

I did not get the translation saying the BMW Suv was bullet proof. But since you all said it is, then good. It would even be better if it was also blast proof like the president's vehicles.

In reality thopugh, the vehicle looked regular, you notice bulletproof vehicles having a thicker armor and when the doors open, the windows and door of course are much thicker.

Ibarramedia

He said it was armored. I assume that means it's got some bullet proofing. At least I'm hoping so because Bruno's weapon of choice these days is a gun. I don't think they would have made such a big deal of MJ driving (showing Elena teaching her, her telling Alex in the nursery some episodes ago and him saying she should buy herself a car, and now him buying her an armormed vehicle) if it wasn't going to play out in the plot somehow. I just hope Tony isn't in the car with her.

(At work right now and no one else is here yet.)

Just went on the BMW site to see what they have available in their armored vehicles. These cars look like normal BMWs, but here is the list of what they come with. I thought the last one was funny, because it's so normal:
-Protection against high power rifles such as 7.62 x 39, 5.56 x 45, 7.62 x 51, M193, & M80 ball
-All original glass is removed and replaced with NIJ tested Multi-layered ballistic glass
-Opaque area surrounding passenger sides are replaced with ballistic steel/composite
-Roof (60° angle) and floor (anti-mine protection including DM51 grenade/fragmentation)
-Additional areas of armoring are fuel tank, battery & computer module
-Patented designed armoring for firewall and wheel wells
-A complete set of four (4) high quality grade run flats installed
Additional protection for the floor and the radiator
-Overlap areas are separately protected
-Power Windows (2) front windows

I saw a show on that on National Geographic. It was cool. They showed how they made the cars. You couldn't tell from the outside at all that they were specially armored.

Iberramedia, the bitterness that you sense in our posts is our definition of snark. And to be perfectly honest, I know I come down hard on the characters because this novela has more than it's share of stupity and unbelievable plots even among the main characters. I've had it with cry baby, ball-less Pedro, Raquell that alcoholic ho is suddenly a decent person, I could go on about people like heffer Maura or Crotcha. I'd like to see both of them dropped in a snake pit or lions den. Even the miraculous recovery of Vicki's boy toy is an insult to our intelligence. I have never cared for Ho Vicki, because she did such a rotten job of raising her 2 illigitimate brats. I'm not really bitter, I'm just feeling snarky and these characters are a great outlet.

I would like to thank all the Recappers and so many of you commenters personally. But I can't due to time restraints - the job infringing on my social agenda. Please know how much pleasure you add to my life.

Now speaking of coming attractions, I have seen the commercials for Corazon S. and have already had my fill of the Tarzan of TN. He always reminded me of a football player aged pass his muscle tension span. AND the hair styles of the women?! Maybe I can hack it after they have some character changes that will change their hair styles.

About Amor Real... my favorite scene happens in Manuel's office. The heat of the argument collapses under the heat of their desire. That office kiss seems to melt her out of her clothes! I still can't see how they achieved that effect, it was special.

See you in print All.

Connie many thanks for the reap. Good to know I wasn't the only one that thought the dialogue was coming faster than normal. They sure are cramming a lot int he final week.

Loved the Alex-MJ car scene! Demonstrated all the attention to detail he has when it comes to MJ -- he remembered their conversation the morning after their romantic dance (yellow dress/pink shirt) when they were sitting on the floor of the nursery and she told him that her mother was teaching her to drive and Alex said then she should buy a car and then she said she had no money and then Alex explained she was loaded!!

Re. the car, when car said it was "blindado", I had to look it up since i never heard of it and sure enough it means armored.

Again, many thanks Connie
CubsFan

CubsFan- I also enjoyed the driving scene. MJ was so excited and Alex told her she looked sexy behind the wheel. Last year I was driving in the back seat with my friend who was a new driver behind the wheel. Her husband was in the passenger side, giving encouraging words, telling her to go more slowly, and clutching the dash (a subconscious gesture of fear?) just like Alex. That scene made me laugh because of that memory. My friend was just as happy and proud of herself to be driving like MJ. That inspired me to finally learn how to drive which I did last summer.

Connie,

Connie, thanks so much....my favorite "I’m stupid. Well maybe just a little." So true.

Vivi, I agree, what is Vicky thinking? Please have the courtesy to see Fernando through his recovery a little even if you are too insecure to handle a relationship with a younger man! Being emotionally upset doesn't help with Nando's healing process. What is it with a hopsitalization in Merida, first Lissete, now Fernando? Your friends se vayan!

MJ, when Elena approaches "Just Say No!".

Jarocha would have to comment on this, but when Alex starts talking fast, I think I hear some Cuban coming out. Is that what I'm hearing?

Thanks, Connie. That was a great recap.
I laughed when Cuco was civil (not barking) to Raquel. He's definitely one of the smartest cast members.

Alex must have a deep savings account. He's able to buy an armored car for MJ (thanks for the details on that) when he and Fer are rarely working. They're always telling Mari to cancel this or that appointment while they pursue personal errands. Is Mari actually running the company or are there unseen underlings helping in the background?
Enjoyed seeing Porfirio's delight in Tiny Tony. Hated Elena's fugly sweater.
La Paloma

Vivi -- ITA! When MJ asks "how do I look" and Alex replies "Sexy" , I melted!!! I'm going to miss those little scenes after next Wed :(

BTW, Congrats on learning to drive last summer. I got my license when I was 16 but I've never enjoyed it. I was the only one of my friends who'd never fight to be the driver when we all went out and even now, 20 years later, if someone offers to drive, I gladly hand over the keys!!

CubsFan

Did MJ & Alex forget the baby, they are leaving Porfirios with just a blanket & no carrier. Maybe the baby actor was screaming during that scene.

Fernando's body sure is responding, to the theraPIST.
Vicky s/b be ashamed to abandon Fernando now. I'm sure he thinks it's because he will be a burden.

Anyone see Dr Obregon (MEPS) in the fiber one commercial? Love that guy, I hope to see him in sth soon.

I remember it being said that Elena was teaching MJ to drive, but don't recall the scene.

That's a great commercial isn't it? He is so funny. I hate driving too.

Variopinta- The scene is pretty funny, because Elena emerges from the car looking like her nerves are a wreck and yelling at SMJ to stop the car, and SMJ bounces out of the driver's side all happy.

Vario,

I too noticed that they hopped into the back seat of the car with no child car seat and zipped off.

thanks for a great recap. Yes, there was a lot of talking. I don't get why more plot lines are being thrown in this late in the game. So much talking no time for making love.

Bruno cannot even leave money in a civil manner. he has to let it drop on the floor and make people grovel for it. Moron that he is.

Variopinta, I saw that driving scene and Sandra/Maria Jose almost plowed the suv into a wall. I was laughing at the starts and stops of the vehicle. Reminded me of Rocky Baboa in Rocky II when he just got his trans am and was learning how to drive in the streets of Philadelphia.

Elena understandably looked spooked. You never know where the car will end up with an inexperienced driver. :)

So since Jorge returned from Canada, his goose is now cooked. It is a matter of time. Since he is a doctor and 'famous researcher' Shouldn't he be affluent enough? It's not like he is Pedro who is dirt poor and had to hustle people for pirated dvds and work odd jobs.

Jorge's desperation is beyond greed. He makes it seem like they would be broke without Porfirio's money.

Ibarramedia

Sandy William came from Cuba to America when he was 15 years old, so yes you are hearing a Cuban accent. I read he has had dialogue coaches to get his accent to sound more like he is from Mexico.

I think Jorge's fame is in his imagination.

For sure he's a legend in his own mind.

Regarding the baby and the taxi- the manservant puts the baby carrier in the trunk of the taxi and supposedly the baby is under the blanker MJ is holding. I agree, the baby actor must have been cranky or not available (are there child labor laws) for that scene. Not sure what the child seat laws are in Meixco??

I thought it was cute the way baby Tony was stroking MJ's braid and face as she spoke with Elena before one of the maids took him away. He looked so content. Even Pedro's barking at Elena didn't seem to bother him.

Victoria is one insecure broad.

Elena is one cold woman. You almost have to admire the kind of cajones she has. She sees the husband she abandoned and left with two kids, and took off with one of his kids who is now dead, over 20 years ago, and she barely bats an eyelash or gives him a half second glance. She looked him up and down dismissively, kind of like, "yep, I made the right decision ditching your sorry butt." I felt sorry for Pedro, because when you're really mad at someone, the most frustrating thing is when you can't get a reaction from them- if they just don't care. It's a great tactic to use if you do actually want to really tick someone off.

Yes Vivi it does work. I used it on my first husband!

I think Carla must have got a special deal on the BMW's the Lombardo's use everyone has one except Vicki and her Rolls and Roberto and his mini.

Vivi ITA Elena was like i don't have time for you and your nonsense poof be gone, to Pedro.

The word Alejandro used was "coche BLINDADO". Blindado means reinforced or armoured. Anyway, great gift for Maria Jose. We'd all like a protective man thinking about us, no? I sure would.

Yes, Vicky's treatment of Fernando was poor...but typical of someone who's hurt and feels rejected (even though she wasn't) But that's a real red flag. Her future with Fernando would be one of non-stop jealousy, insecurity, getting spooked every time he talked to an attractive younger woman. SO LET'S HEAR IT FOR UNCLE EMILIO! Nice looking guy, well-spoken, courtly and devoted. I like Dr. Hernan too, but those tight button-busting shirts recently have been a turnoff. Tio gets my vote, hands down.

Between Tio and Hernan--I'd take Tio.

Judy LOL do they make male corsette's i was thinking maybe Hernan needs to wear one or just buy a biggger size shirt. He looks like he shop at Big and Tall for men.

Thanks Connie. your recap was actually more entertaining than the show last night. For a TN with only a few shows left, I thought last night was a bit dull. I guess it was just laying some groundwork for future episodes.

Vivi and Sandy: I agree totally on Victoria. If we EVER doubted where the self-centeredness of her children came from...wow, just nailed it on that phone call with Fer. I was staring at that scene thinking WTH did you just do?? Maybe he should fall for his therapist.. though we know it won't happen. He has gone thru all your crap with you with your spoiled brats, and the one time he truly needs you, you turn your back over your own insecurities and a pretty face. Doesn't bode to well for their future.

Have to love Bruno's "oh-no" moment realizing Erick didn't bite the dust. Oh,yes, Bruno, an unhappy henchman is out there with a little bit of vengeance on his mind.

Raquel - done with her. No matter what happens from here on out, and they are moving her to a happyville, I know I won't like it.

as for MJ - why does she even listen to that woman anymore? She should have been able to start putting two and two together. First she looks at Tony with that creepy smile, won't even touch him like he has cooties, and then just admits to wanting money. You have two feet - walk away!!!

Hope we get a bit more action and resolution tonight. Maybe some shirtless time with WL, or a good beating of someone....anything.

Sorry Cubs Fan...I missed your comment where you explained "blindado". I'm a vocabulary freak, always include a list in my recaps, so I wanted to make sure everyone knew the word for "armoured". But you already told 'em! Disculpe.

Great complete recap, Connie. I missed so many words, I was eager for this morning to come when I knew you would fill me in.

Was disappointed the inspector didn't pursue investigating Bruno further. I thought for a while he was getting wise to Bruno, but he seems to have dropped that idea now. So what is going to be the tipping point to get the focus on Bruno? How much killing does he have to do to get caught?

Love the DNA test idea for Paula and MJ. DH said months ago he thinks they might not be full sisters. Seems like one of the commenters also suggested the same thing way back when (something about their different hair colors). SO now I have a guess (not a spoiler; I'm wrong too many times in my guesses to be much of a spoiler threat)that Paula will turn out to be the daughter of Cristobal because Elena was messing around with him while still with Pedro and when she had the baby, she let everyone think it was Pedro's.

If Paula inherits Abuelo's money, she can become the rich girl she's always thought she deserves to be and maybe she can stop screeching.

Great recap, Connie! I loved the stories about your husband's fake laugh, and you and your siblings sliding across the wood floor. LOL!

When Felipa told Vicki she had bad news, I think it was that Raquel wants a mass for Ulises. Vicky said that is actually a good thing.

I can understand why the characters are a little worried about the DNA test. Although WE're pretty sure that MJ, Sandra and Paula are Pedro's kids (didn't Jorge tell Elena to "make up" the fact that they are Cristobal's?), all the characters except Elena don't really know. Even Jorge doesn't really know. And there are all sorts of consequences that could happen if they were Cristobal's kids. But fortunately it looks as if they're going to do the brave thing and have the tests done.

I also don't like Vicky's coldness towards Fernando. There are other things I don't like, too. The good news is that it's all going to be resolved soon! But the bad news is that it's all going to be resolved soon! :)

Gracias, Connie. Slept in today (courtesy of Abe, happy bday). Great recap. LOL, really from what angle does Bruno seem clean! Your thought was hilarious: I guess that depends on your definition of “clean.” If his precious scarves are straight and his shirt isn’t rumpled then yeah--I guess he’s clean.

Loved Alex and MJ in the car. Very cute. You know, I took Spanish in high school, but I can understand WL's Spanish the same way I can understand anyone else's. I can't tell the difference. Is it really noticeable? Only the Spain Spanish is hard for me to grasp, but the rest I can't distinguish one from the other. Hmmm...

Vivi, ITA, Vicky is being immature. Damn, your poor bf is suffering from paralyzed legs, and all that bothers you is that he has a hot therapist?

I thought it was hilarious that JorHey was rejected. Too much self esteem. And Elena, puh-leez! MJ, I think is convinced now of all her evil. I wouldn't give her naranjas! LOL, I borrowed that word from CCEA. Always that it was cute.

Ibarramedia, it's really nice to have you here so actively! Very interesting comments. The snow going to keep you in for the rest of the novela? :)

CubsFan, I am a really not-so-fun-driver too. Over cautious. I'll drive behind a slow car for a long time until I finally can't do it anymore. LOL, I like to think of it as I have a lot of patience.

When MJ was holding the baby, before Elena showed up, I was worried the baby would grab one of her dangling earrings and rip it out of her ear.

Since Vicki's attitude toward Fer has done an about face since the accident, I wonder if she doesn't want to be saddled with an invalid lover. I'm just sayin'.....

I thought Vicky was pretty childish, too. She could at least have said something to Fer instead of just abandoning him. Here he is with a totally serious injury and challenge and she is jealous? I'm sure he can't imagine what the problem really is and will take it on as himself as burden.

Paula was so screechy I could hardly stand it, chipmunk time again. I don't get why she would mind having proof, though.

Thought it was great that Cuco was back and showed that Raq is now an okay person.

Loved the recap Connie. The dialogue was faster than usual. Still so many loose storylines to wrap up for the big finale. I also loved the driving scene. It reminded me of the time my friend let my drive his car. He tucked his hands under his legs nervously as I drove. I couldn't help but laugh. Such a cute scene. I hope MJ takes the DNA tests to once and for all stop Elena's cruel mindgames. Hope Dr. Evil doesn't try to erase Abuelo's memory in order to change the will.

Cielo de levy remind not to be on the same road as you when you drive.

Pirate Babe i never thought of that and Dr. Demented did hint at using force to get Profirio to give them the money.

Ivy just hit the mute button when Paula like that i had to my ears were hurting from the sound i'm surprised my dog didn't start barking before i hit the mute button.

They haven't done enough with Cuco in my opinion. But I have a feeling he's going to figure prominently in the climax. The baby will be kidnapped or something like that, but Cuco will accidentally go along. Then the dog will give away the location of the baby and Bruno. Or, Bruno will trip over Cuco and fall headlong over a cliff or off a tall building. Wanna bet?

Bonney Churros: I second your 'Please know how much pleasure you add to my life.' and 'He always reminded me of a football player aged pass his muscle tension span.' - LOL!

Anon 10:50:00 AM EST - I don't get it either. when are Ale and MJ gonna get it on???

Anon, rotfl! That's exactly what my uncle said to me when I told him I got my license.

Mrs. Imgallego, it seems that MJ and Alex are extremely comfortable with each other. Hang in there. I'm sure they'll get it on soon.

Connie:

Thank you for a very fine recap. And thank you for MANY wonderful recaps over the course of this show.

Like so many of you have already noted, Alex's mush-mouth (Cubano/Miami) accent and enunciation made him just about impossible for me to understand last night.

I agree that the car scene was very sweet.

I cannot find an ounce of sympathy for Victoria in her attitude toward Fernando.Wouldn't it be nice if she could "show-up" for her novio when he is is dire straights? Not our Vicky. I must compliment the writers on the consistency in her character. If there is one thing you can count on from Victoria it is self-absorption.

JudyB, Like you I would so much rather see Vicky with Tio Emilio. He is handsome and gallant and kind. He would probably just find Vicky's narcissism charming.

The partners meeting is sure to have some last-minute bombshell. Bruno has somethign planned to hurt Alex, I am sure.

Regarding product placement for all the BMW's in Sorti, the Mini Cooper that Roberto drives is also made by BMW.

Cielo, listen to the Colombian spanish from Telemundo and Telefutura and you will notice a difference. They talk so fast and have that unusual intonation. Almost singing like.

You might be scared getting in a car with me. I drive fast and I was even faster when I was younger.

Someone need to use a loud and forceful voice to Paula and tell her to stop. You could picture a 'Voice of God' James Earl Jones type. She needs just a little bit of that tranqulizer shot to calm her nerves and settle down. Perhaps Hernan or Jorge could oblige. Lol.

I do like the Ester version of Paula the best. She had her hair down and was wearing a cowboy hat. Just a different look for her.

Question for you Connie, you said that your daughter does not like guys who give her all the attention and make her the center of their universe a while back. You said she wants someone tougher to stand up to her. Be careful what you wish for because the next guys could beat her and abuse her.

Seriously, guys can be tough but when it comes to the girl, try to give her everything she wants.

Ibarramedia

Whoa! Alex and MJ get it on?!?! they got in on a long time ago, several times in fact. Where do you think Tony came from? And I'm assuming you are asking about them having sex right? Doing the humpty hump.

Ibarramedia

Methinks too much thinking is done about the so-called product placement of their cars. The Lombardo's are rich people. It could easily be a Mercedes. Victoria has a Rolls, BMWs are their choice of a vehicle. No different than it would be if they had Lexus and Acura. I do wish though that they got rid of that British Taxi being used as a car. It's not even so much of the car model than it being a replica Taxi complete with that little sign on it. As an aside, I do love BMWs they ride well. But I prefer a Benz over the BMW if I had to choose one brand.

Ibarramedia

Ibarramedia, lol i just spit some coffee over "humpty hump!" my dad has a mercedes, and i have a bmw. I baby that thing like it's my life. Dad's car is great too, but I don't like those days when we have to trade. I think it's mostly the size difference though. Dad hates those days too. He's like, you intentionally bought a small car that only you could fit in. LOL.

Excellent recap, Connie. I always enjoy your brand of snark!

I thought this was an interesting episode. Loved it that Vancouver thought "Legend in His Own Mind" Jorge was basically going to be an automatic malpractice suit if he darkened their door.

I'm rooting for the Paula/MJ DNA test, but I think, if they do it, it's just going to prove that Elena lied. If Paula and MJ had different fathers, then they'd have to do one with Porfirio as well to determine the father, since Cristobal is 6 feet under.

It sure seems like a lead pipe cinch that Erick is going to finish Bruno off.

The driving stuff with MJ reminds me of when I bought a stick shift car in my early 20s because it was a good deal. I had only driven automatics. I did up and down the driveway for a day or two. Then my dad went out on the road with me. My home town has some hills. It was quite an experience. I remember that when we got back safely my dad went straight for the bottle of bourbon in the kitchen cupboard - the one he hadn't touched since Christmas.

LOL, I was like goldilocks picking a car. This one's too big. This one's too big too. This one's just right.

Novelera, lol my dad went home and went to sleep after our first driving lesson. I ran over mom's rose bush and hit a garbage can.

Ibarra.
Dr Mengele is effluent instead of affluent.

Where was Paula when we needed her? She would have let Elena have it, but good.

Raquel? vacation? from what?
I don't think Ulises would have looked very good in an open casket.
They could put his ashes in a timer so he at last could do a little work instead of sponging off of others.

My uncle gave me my 1st driving lesson, I took off through a vacant lot. He never offered again.

LOL, Variopinta! I think my dad didn't give up on me because he already taught my sister who used to make turns at 60 mph in residential areas.

Ibarramedia,

I guess I wasn't clear. She does like being the center of their attention but she doesn't like doormats. The ones that are like Gabe, If she can bulldoze over them she does not respect them. She will not, however, tolerate abuse of any kind. A man can stand up for himself without being abusive. Maybe I'm still not saying it right.

Cielo de levy 60mph LOL did your dad start dressing like one of those race cars drivers? Do you drive stick or automatic?

Connie i understood what you meant the first time, no woman in her right mind would put up with a man who is abusive verbally or physically.

Variopinta your on a roll today ROFL they could put Useless in a timer so he could do a little work instead of sponging off others too funny.

Cielo de Levy guys don't understand when we women pick out a car we want it too last long be safe without a lot of mechanical problems. Most importantly we want it too look good and looke good with us driving in it too.

Anon, lol haha! My Dad just held onto his life, but I suggested a helmet. I drive an automatic. Dad would never teach me stick lol. His response to me picking a BMW over a Honda or Camry...you have a minimum wage job and you want a BMW! But you don't have a minimum wage job, Dad... :)

In the last 2 e-mails I've gotten from People en Español revista,
They say Lucero is protagonista in La Dueña de to amor, so it looks like Alica Marchado is out.

http://www.peopleenespanol.com/pespanol/articles/0,22490,1963887,00.html?xid=pespdaily02122010

Cielo de Levy you are too adorable LOL, i could just see his expression after you said that priceless line.

My mother was teaching me to drive. We were in a fairly empty parking lot. She said to put my foot on the accelerator. I floored it. My mother was telling me to slow down. After hitting the brakes and stopping the car, I looked over at my mother and she looked weathered with buckets of sweat dripping down her face. She never asked me again to drive after that.

Anon, thanks. :) I was originally supposed to help Dad with the payments--or rather, he was supposed to "help" me. That didn't last too long. Lol

Pirate Babe, yikes! Lol I've hit the accelerator besides the brakes a couple of times and given myself a heart attack, luckily Mom hasn't been with me when I've done it. She starts grabbing the door everytime I do anything.

Learning to drive . . . the posts are bringing back memories. I learned on a manual transmission ("three on the tree") and didn't know automatic until I was a senior in college. I never had A/C in a car before that, either.

I never had many gray hairs until our son was learning to drive. OMG..... He still gives me gray hairs when he drives now, thirteen years later.

I hated learning to drive. I learned on a VW Bug with a stick. Stop signs on a hill were the worst. I would start to roll back down the hill and I would panic. I finally learned to slip the clutch but I would get so upset. We lived on a hill and I didn't like to go forward up the hill because of the rolling so I decided I'd back out of the driveway and back up the hill to pick up my friend. I ended up backing into the yard and smacking into a stump with the running board and kept going. You should have seen the running board! I thought my mom was going to have a cow.

LOL, Doris and Connie! I love to hear driving stories. Boosts my self esteem yo know it's not just me. :)

I go away for a few hours, to you know, work, and you guys continue to have this totally hilarious discussion about driving. I actually surprised myself this summer by managing to get my license pretty quickly. I had the nicest, most patient instructor who specializes in teaching adults to drive. But if looked like Alex over there in that passenger seat, I think I would have extended the time it took me to learn. ;-)

Connie- the car I bought this fall, my first car ever, is a new VW Beetle. But it's an automatic.

Those VWs are great! However, I love my truck more. Now I can't stand to sit in a regular car because I'm too short! I had to rent a car not too long ago and I went through the drive-through and couldn't reach the window. It was funny. I'm keeping the old girl together with spit and duct tape!

Connie, Gothca on your daughter. Roger that.

Cielo and everyone else's driving lesson stories crack me up. Hondas and Toyota Camry's are good too. I had 2 Camry's and a souped up Honda Accord among the fleet of cars. The Avalon though, was very smooth riding. I like bigger cars because I'm a big dude. I don't like those old style Cadillacs and Crown Victorias though. I draw the line with driving boats. Lol. The longest Car I have is an Acura Legend. The shortest was a Infinity G20. My favorite when speeding is the Mazda Millenia. The beemers and the Benz are garage kept and don't go out much.

I may shock you all when I say that when I used to drive really fast, I would go up to 100mph sometimes more on the freeway. Now, I just average 70-80 mph.

Connie when Driving a stick on the hill and you are worried about falling back, you can use the handbrake and put the stick in neutral if that would be easy for you. Then shift to first and release the handbrake and hit the gas pedal. I don't drive stick anymore because the horrible, horrible beltway traffic just drives me nuts with all the stop and goes. One time I even had a cramp on my calf. I like to drive a stick on an open highway but sadly that is a thing of the past here. Makes me wish that I had Alex's helicopter to zip across the metropolis.

Variopinta, you are right. Jorge is effluent. Shoot, he is the king of sludge if you ask me. ;)

Ibarramedia

It's been a while since I drove a stick but I finally got really good at it. I could remember again though. I used to get cramps in my calves too. That really hurts and is a pain in heavy traffic.

Vivi, ITA with an instructor like Alex who on earth wants the lessons to end! I see you're one of the lucky ones who passed your DT the first time. I failed twice before I got my license. Right when I gave up hope, I got it. The only thing I got docked down for was driving too slow. Lol.

Anyways. I think I've embarrassed myself enough with all my driving problems. :)

Back to the show (kinda hard to do after such funny stories)...do you all think MJ and Paula are sisters...? I don't know about it. They look so darn different, but I know plenty of people who look nothing a like but are siblings.

Ibarramedia, Camrys are great. The reason I actually didn't get one was because Dad already had one. Hondas are cool too, but not a fan of the civic and the accord is too big for me.

Cielo, you are one of the very few people I know who drives slow or gets point docked for driving slow. One of my friend's mom was ticketed for driving slow. We were just shaking our heads and laughing. That's just messed up, no one gets a ticket for driving slow. :D ;)

Okay, I will say Maria Jose and Paula are sisters just to be a dissenting voice here. ;) I would have really loved to have seen Sandra and Maria Jose speak. I wonder what everyone at casa Lombardo and Fernando would have thought about her Spanish accent. That would have been cool. Maybe Katya would have thought she was a snob or something.

Ibarramedia

I'm off to a Chinese New Year's banquet now- a 12 course meal with 40 friends. Yum! My mouth is watering already. I'll see tonight's episode curtesy of my dvr tomorrow- it better not fail me. Looking forward to reading all the comments this weekend.

Cielo, the good thing about luxury cars while having them serviced is that they let you have a rental car for free while your vehicle is being serviced. I don't have that luxury when I bring the non luxury cars to the shop. I have to wait in the waiting area for almost the whole day despite coming in at 7am.

So Connie, since you are pretty much a dog expert, do you think Cucu and Samie will interact or not? Will they have a role to play in saving someone's life in the next few episodes?

I know it is a few episodes ago, but I still get a kick out of Maria Jose as Sandra imitating and making fun of Elena's way of speaking. :)

Ibarramedia

Hey Connie, What truck do you drive? A ford F-150, Dodge Ram or Chevy Silverado?

Ibarramedia

Anon 8:43

I am with you on Cuco. He is my favorite character in the show.

JudyB, I am desperately searching for my beanie-adjuster. I bet one of the cats moved it from its place next to the remote. I promise to float away on that soap bubble soon, but in the meanwhile Raquel is still stuck in my craw.

I guess we are to believe that Raquel is now redeemed; she's giving Victoria custody of Vicky and she's headed out on a much-needed vacation. After all, it is hard work to:

Ignore your offspring
Obsess about your (now dead) ne'er-do-well lover
Abuse any and all servants who happen to be in the vicinity
Drink yourself into oblivion.

The only hard thing I have seen Raquel do is STOP drinking herself into an early grave. Now, THAT is hard, but we don't want her to stop tea-totaling while on that hard earned vacation. Is the word "vacation" here supposed to be a euphemism for 'rehab"?

EJ here, still griping about Raquel and feeling for la niña Vicki.

My uncle also wanted me to learn to fly. We went up a couple of times but never advanced to me learning. He probably remembered the driving through the vacant lot incident. Not a good idea in a plane.

Ibarrmedia:

Where in heaven's name do you store all of your cars? LOL! You must have an airplane hanger!

Variopinta:

I too saw the news about Colunga and Lucero in La Dueña. I guess they just had the show blessing and will start filming immediately. How fun!

Jarocha:

Are Colunga and Lucero a popular pairing in Mexico? I think they are darling together—and in the same age range. Hopefully they will NOT be playing characters in their 20's. 30's they can get away with.

Ibarramedia, ITA about the service. It's great to get a loaner that's identical to my car. Makes life easier. LOL, getting a ticket for driving slow is sad. I'm actually not slow anymore, just right at speed limit or 5 miles over.

And I also think MJ and Paula are sisters. I don't think they'll complicate things so much by making them half-siblings.

Elna, I feel for little Vicky too.

Elna June, Lucero is a few years younger than Colunga. He is mid to late 40's. Lucero is barely 40 yet. Maybe 39-40.

I park my cars in the 3 car garage, the drive way, the street in my property close to the mailbox but not blocking it of course and across the street. There used to be more but I got rid of them because they were old. Not all of them were brand new. Some were pre owned. Or from Auctions. Getting rid of some more.
On 2015, I'm planning on getting a brand new BMW and Mercedes and just stick with those or get Either a BMW or a Mercedes and a Corolla or Civic to use for everyday driving. That's if I get married. Sometimes I still feel like i'm 24 though many years have past.

Ibarramedia

Actually, I think Little Vicki is doing well. They've said she's over her alcohol withdrawal (although they said she runs the risk of alcoholism when she grows up). She seems to be getting almost as much attention as Tiny Tony. When MJ holds TT, Felipa is usually holding Vicki. And Vicki Sr. adores her. I also think the nurse gives them equal amounts of attention.

If only Roberto wouldn't go to Brazil, she'd have one totally loving parent.

Colunga is 43, Lucero is 40

This comment has been removed by the author.

Our son used to complain that I was the slowest driver of all the moms in his crowd. THAT's because I obey the speed limit. 99% of the time. LOL He has two speeding tickets to his name. I have none. That's shoe money! ;o)

Ibarramedia - Do you hang out in the Edmunds.com forums? Lots of car buffs there, and good info, too.

Elna June: I think Colunga and Lucero are both well liked by the public and having been together in Alborada made people liked them together too. There were some promos for the celebration of the 50 years of novelas that Televisa made a couple of years back with actors representing typical scenes from novelas and Lucero and Fernando were in one playing the "happy ending", they played a couple getting married.

Jarocha

novelera:

If little Vicki has a consistently loving homelife, she has a good chance of being just fine. To have Filipa, Alex, MJ, the nannies, Victoria and occasional visits from her "Daddy" Roberto, plus a family rich in resources is much more than many, many children have.

I am fussing more about Raquel dropping in and out of her life at her own whim. But you are probably correct, Little Vicki will be fine.

One has to note that while Lucero takes her time picking her novelas (this thing with her being in a novela every year is not usual, she usually takes some time for herself after finishing), she has gotten to be with all the main galanes of the moment. She got to be with Pedro Fernández and Luis Miguel back when they were doing their popular movies, and in novelas she's been with Omar Fierro (huge in the late 80's), Ernesto Laguardia (huge in the early 90's), Jorge Salinas (huge from the late 90's),a brief fling between her character in a novela with Mauricio Islas's (huge in the early 00's), another brief fling between her character and Jaime Camil's (huge from the 00's) and Fernando Colunga (huge since the 90's). She has been a lucky actress.

Jarocha

Doris, I have not been there but I will check it out. During my late teens and early 20's I had been into fixing cars and one of my younger brothers buillt a car kit for his own civic which was a much later model than mine.

I just have way too many hobbies and interests and so little time. From sports and lifting and all kinds of physical activity to Anime, Comic Books to Djing at clubs and universities NFL, NBA, Boxing, now here. I'm also already active in a few varied messageboards.

Then work got in the way. Long hours and such.....

Ibarramedia

Jarocha, I would like to see Lucero, Ninel Conde and Shaila Durcal star in a new series as protagonists. That would be great.

Add in there Susana Zabaleta.

Ibarramedia

I haven't seen anything advertized about Lucero and Colunga; however, People magazine showed my handsome Jami Camil in a compromising position with another man. It stated that they did a novela or movie together and either both played a gay role or the other one was gay. Anyone know anything about this. Will this ruin his image, since he is known to have women swooning over him???

That's an interesting combination Ibarramedia. Lucero and Susana have been in some stuff togehter, they play each other pretty well.

Jarocha

Anon. Don't worry, I don't think this gossip will affect Camil at all. Right now, none of the gossip shows in Televisa have picked up that info and even if they do I doubt they will give it anything more than a mention. Even if what people implies were truth, rumors about sexual preferences is one thing that networks here protect their main stars from.

Jarocha

Ibarramedia: I too thought that was a hoot when S/MJ (she was spot on) was mimicking Elena's manner of speaking. Victoria did the same on last nights episode, I think.

How many of you think Fernando will recover and walk before Alejandra from Dinero can? Alejandra was in that car accident at the beginning of the series and she is still hobling around.

Without the meses despues that is....

Ibarramedia

The cast of La dueña de tu amor

http://www.seriesnow.com/mexican-telenovelas/duenadetuamorla.html

Anabel Ferreira! I haven't seen her on TV in more than fifteen years! But she was a comedian. My favorite comedy show ever was "Anabel".

Jarocha

Goodmorning...

Waiting for the Sortilegio blog
