Sortilegio 2/8: Just when you think we're going to have a whole novela with no Staircase of Doom...
Last time: Elena realizes Jorge is gonna let her take the fall alone if the "Ulises did it" ruse fails; Alex and MJ are off to Toluca to tell gramps something. Maybe the truth!
Lisette has her new friend Lety over to the luxurious digs. "When our parents died, they left us well cared for financially... so I can pay for your transplant and treatments, and I'll go to the city hospital with you." They embrace and frolic.
I am SO bored by Fer and Vic. Rehash: Raquel has promised to stop drinking if nobody denounces Useless; Fer gave Katya a dog to make up for the lack of Bruno. Vic will publish her book of poems under her own name. Fer acts like she's then going to be famous and he will be so proud to be her boyfriend. [In real life the publishing of a volume of poetry does not make a big splash in the news.]
Raquel defends Useless to Maura, who is patently skeptical - after all, it's in her best interests for him to take the fall. "Everybody but you, Raquel, believes him to be guilty, right? Your family believes that, right?" She offers Raq a drink. Which Raq turns down! And leaves.
Paula tells everything to Roberto; she wants Useless to Pay (unaware that he already has). Roberto is a little sad to hear that the hope of saving Useless is an incentive powerful enough to get Raq to stop drinking when he, Roberto, couldn't. Nevertheless, he hopes this will help her be a better mom.
Pau is impressed with his sagacity and niceness. He says "In future, go first to Gabriel, he can learn to understand and help you." [I think Gabe's a bit of a mouth-breather, but whatever.]
On the way to Porfirio's, at MJ's insistence Alex drives to Elena's place. Elena and MJ embrace. "I was worried about you, Sandra." "No, mom, I'm MJ and this is Alex my husband and the father of my child." "Oh, sorry, I fell for Ulises' deception." "Well, ... I'm your daughter, still."
Elena asks anxiously if Porfirio knows yet. Alex says it's time to tell him. Elena is all, "No, no, it would be cruel, please don't, no no no."
Back in the car, MJ is afraid all the news will devastate her faux-grandpa; Alex says this whole farce was set up to extract money, and there should be no more lies!
Elena keeps trying to interest her "husband" in this problem but Jorge is preparing to throw her in the piranha tank. He now hopes the news about not-Sandra will kill Porfirio; Elena says if it doesn't, Jorge may lose his medical license.
Jorge says all this was Elena's idea and he washes his hands of it. "You would abandon me to my fate? You are the cruelest, coldest man in the world." He reminds her of all the lies she told, and he uses nasty air quotes to remind her that they aren't even really married! [Remember, she deserted our sweet lachrymose Pedro, she never divorced him.] "And you did it for ambition, for the hope of marrying Future Nobel Prize Winner Me - so resolve your own problems."
Porfirio exclaims happily to see Sandra/MJ! She introduces Alejandro - "Oh, this is the famous photographer?"
Porfirio berates Sandra/MJ for leaving without even saying goodbye. He calls for tequila, everybody says he shouldn't, he says he'll die anyway. He gets his tequila.
MJ tries to calm him with the "vacation" story but Porfirio presses hard - he knows it's a lie because the servant saw Elena alone in town when she was supposedly away - tell the truth! She calls Alex "mi amor," Porfirio asks "is he your boyfriend?"
"No, we're married and have a child, I'm not Sandra." (Just then Elena, who has been pacing nervously outside, calls Porfirio but he refuses to take her call.)
Evidently, Alex and MJ tell Porfirio everything and then say he should rest. "You've deceived me all this time? That fox Elena, she never married my son? " MJ: "I didn't mean to deceive you, I thought it was all true!"
Alex explains about the memory-erasure, which doesn't interest Porfirio, who goes on to ask Emiliano: "Et tu?"
Emiliano: "I was afraid for your health, that's why I didn't tell you - and why I told MJ to come back."
Porfirio: "I am completely alone."
MJ: "No! In the short time I've known you, I've grown to love you." "For money!" Alex: "No, she's got oodles of her own moola and I'm more than capable of supporting her also."
Porfirio suggests a game of chess but then changes his mind and sends everybody away, saying "Don't tell the buitres (vultures) that I know."
Elena runs up to them outside. "We didn't tell Porfirio The Truth, he still thinks I'm Sandra." Elena is wobbly and grateful. Alex and MJ are leaving for their ride home but MJ suddenly tears away and runs back to embrace her mom and say "Adios."
Porfirio: "I want to sleep - or perhaps die."
Alex and MJ have a little squabble in their hotel room - she says he didn't even want her to say goodbye to Elena. Alex: "But she hurt you and deceived you." "But it was all Ulises' fault." "But she abandoned you and Paula when you were little." "OK, you're right."
Emiliano calls nephew Fer: "They told him everything. He was so hurt. He is my oldest friend. My only friend. When he goes, I'll be completely alone." "You have me." "But you're so far away." "How about I send you Katya? She's nicer now. And she's got a great dog."
Again Elena reports to Jorge. He crafts some complicated new lie to save their butts: part of it was that she should say MJ and Sandra were actually daughters of Porfirio's son. "So what? Even so, MJ won't share the inheritance." "Make her." "Not easy with that husband of hers around."
Next day, Alex and MJ go back to say goodbye to Porfirio and he's in a much better mood. "Though you're not my grand-daughter, I'd have liked to have had one like you." "And I'd like you for a grandpa." "You have a kid, really?" Alex: "We'll bring him next time." Porfirio says, don't wait too long...
Breakfast table debriefing at the Lombardo's. Blah blah blah. Paula wants the guilty to be punished and when she gets too abrasive Alex reminds her not to be late to work, the chauffeur will take her. She pouts and flounces out, indignant to be treated as an employee. Alex apologizes to MJ for being firm with Paula but she's a a bit of a "rebel" - MJ agrees.
MJ comes to see Alex and her sis at the office. Maura enters. Paula doesn't like to see Maura, especially near MJ, who can't remember what a jerk Maura is. Maura acts nice, offers to take MJ to the bank and set her up with her new checking account, help her with the papers she has to sign... we don't like any of this.
Raquel goes to Dr. (I always want to call him Dr. Placenta) and says she hasn't taken a drink but she needs SOMETHING. She wants drugs - he suggests she try rehab again and not leave till she's really better.
Lisette likes Katya's dog. She tells Katya about Lety. The two girls agree they used to be bad but are becoming rehabilitated.
Then Katya tells how Maura set her up with Matteo. "I took something... and thangs happened..."
The girls search for Katya's name on the internet, and - Dang! Somebody has uploaded that video of her getting it on with Matteo! Since Maura gave the cellphone to Bruno, it must have been him. They need to go tell the story to Fer!
Lisette yells at Maura, reminds her "I know about your Mario Aguirre trick," says she's ashamed of her.
Fer listens to Katya and Lisette and then goes and finds Bruno and throttles him. Bruno: "Let me go, you imbecile, it's not my fault your sister is a whore." Bruno tells Fer where to find Matteo, and laughs his brittle psycho laugh. I love Bruno, what a great villain.
Alex works his magic on MJ and gets her to agree to have a civil marriage soon and then a church wedding with all the fixings, and they'll baptise Tony the same day - as they had planned to do before MJ was kidnapped.
Fer goes off to find Matteo's apartment, it's in a squalid barrio with lots of ugly homeys around with nothing better to do than follow Fer up the stairs. When Fer starts getting in Matteo's face, they all gang up on him, beat him and kick him and - thrown him over a Stairway of Doom. He falls to the pavement.
Matteo and the homeys run away. Neighborhood ladies, who saw it all, cluck and fuss and send for an ambulance. Fer is "grave." He asks the ambulance guy to call Alejandro. Ezequiel takes the call - Alex isn't home, but Vic gets the news.
Feb 17th is the last day of Sortilegio.

But what the hell is Alex doing letting Maura anywhere near MJ, much less taking her to open up personal bank accounts? You're right. Did not like the sound of that at all. MJ's now even more ignorant about Maura and her coniving intentions towards her man than she was before. Alex, tell her the truth and tell her Fer's and Paula's suspicions about Maura's role in the kidnapping!

One more comment before heading to bed. I thought Alex's face at the breakfast table after the Toluca visit was funny. He looked at all these women surrounding him clucking away, and it seemed like he was thinking to himself that he needed some more testosterone at that table with him. :) I did like the way he shut Paula the Brat down and sent her off to work. MJ shut her down at the table last episode. Are we seeing a bit of their future parenting style? Paula is certainly good practice for a petulant teenager.
Melinama thanks for the fast recap, so now we know Sorti ends on Feb. 17 also there's a premios music on next Thursday i wonder if they will show a repeat of Sorti Grand Final on Friday next week.
Loved how Alex put Paula in her place. I so love how Paula has bonded with Mari.
I don't know if you guys caught it but when Miss Skankness offered to take MJ to the bank Alex right away told her Paula would be going with them too.
I think Alex definitely believes she had a hand in MJ's kidnapping but right now he still does not have any proof.

So glad to see Lisette and Katia evolve. I hope this is a sign of good things to come.I think so. I was also very touched by the scene with Lisette and Lety. Some hope peppered into all the murder and mind stealing mayhem.
I think Fernando's medical emergency will be the impetus to making their relationship public...Nando can't die. He needs to help bring Maura down since our lovely and totally hot Alex is apparently still blinded by their friendship or whatever it is they have. I am going to start calling him Ferdumbo.
Paula sure snapped back to her whiny ways when Alex sent her off to work...though she had grown up a bit. If only Alex could do that with Maura...

Carlita Dr.Demented is a legend in his own mind about his genius so far with the help of the idiot Bruno we have seen how not intelligent he is.
As for Alex why doesn't he come down on Maura like Roberto has with Paula, i'm going to say it's the writing now. it doesn't make sense other than to further the plot i guess why he keep letting Maura act like that with him.

Most normal guys actually don't mind what Maura is doing. In fact, we love it. It is not like Maura is french kissing or fornicating with Alejandro.

What normal guy keeps letting a woman like Maura who admitted her role in the Mario Aguirre plot, that almost got the woman you love killed along with your unborn child.

Fantastic recap, Melinama. Loved the snarky stuff--Gabe a mouth breather, Katia cheering up Tio 'cause she's nicer and has a great dog, "thangs" happening to Katia.
Elena's right to call Dr. Jorrible the coldest and cruelest man in the world. But she's very, very wrong in her wardrobe choices. She needs some serious punishment for the skirt and vest she combined in this episode.
I had to laugh after Fernando throttled Bruno and the first thing Bruno did was adjust his scarf so it wouldn't be mussed. Ha! Everything's ok as long as the scarf fits smoothly around the neckline.

I also don't understand why Alex would have MJ assume some corporate responsibilities - thru Maura's "help" - when MJ does not have her memory back yet.
Did I miss anything? Why is it that MJ is suddenly so open to Alex? Late last week she kept insisting that she couldn't remember him or she didn't know if she could love him. What's up with that?
I guess if Nando survives, Vicky will be all over him. Not so looking forward to that.

Why has MJ warmed up to Alex you asked also i guess Alex's patience and kindness not to mention again what Pedro told her about Bruno and his plots to destroy her family because she wouldn't go along with him. I guess made her see the light about Alex.

MJ told Elena that she HAD NOT told Porfirio the truth and Alex backed her up. They lied to Elena so Porfirio wouldn't be in danger.
Elena ran back to Jorge and told him that MJ told her they had not told Porfirio the truth. She also told Jorge she had her doubts about that, especially with Alex's attitude.

My dislike of Maura just took leaps last night. She's just getting down-right smarmy. And Lisette is becoming sweeter, calmer and looking like the true adult out of the that entire former Brat Pack. Hope good things for her. She deserves a happy ending.

I'm out of town and just using the recaps, but someone needs to do something about Elena and quickly before faithful, true, loyal to a falt, and BLIND, MJ invites her Mommy Dearest to keep little Tony for a day or two, after all Elena is her blessed MADRE. There is no inheritance in Paula's future so Elena's boat load of mother's love stops short of Paula.
I know this lost memory is just a wacky story line, but both babies really need more time with a parent, not just a hired nurse.

Good morning all. Lots more snow expected today starting at noon, so yet another snow day at home. I will either get cabin fever, or get very used to this. ;)
So even though Alex's first instinct was to have Paula go with Maura and MJ, he then backed down when Maura pushed back and said that the bank is just in front of the office building. So Paula did not go with them. And then later when she comes to get MJ's signature (inturrupting what looked like it was going to be a tender moment between MJ and Alex), she also implies she can help MJ understand the ins and outs of the business so that Alex doesn't use up his precious time. He doesn't automatically shoot this suggestion to be "helpful" down, implying that he will allow her to "help" MJ with the business. Now, I'm not saying that Alex hasn't evolved in the way he treats Maura. He is definitely keeping her at arms length now (no more cheek kisses), and he seems to be suspicious of her for the first time. But he is always one step behind with her. The way he is treating her now is the way he should have treated her when he first realized he was in love with MJ and that Maura still wanted him. Now that he knows she was involved in one scheme to hurt his wife, and he suspects she was involved in another, he should be vigilant about keeping her away from MJ and his home- just like he is with Bruno. And in order to do so, he needs to warn MJ by telling her all about Maura, and his supsicions about the kidnapping.

Fabulous recap as always Melinama. Who dresses Elena anyway--Goodwill? Ack. Did they ever say what Paula's job is exactly? She needs her own area for sure. Glad she and Mari are bonding. I can't wait for Maura to take the fall. I think the last villain standing will be Bruno. He'll blame everything on the other baddies and they will fall one by one.

I really don't think it's strange that MJ is giving Elena the benefit of the doubt and yearning to be close to her. It's her mom afterall. People have very complex relationships with their parents, even when that relationship is toxic and even when their parents are awful people. There is still always a yearning for love and acceptance from that parent. I witnessed it with my own mom whose parents abandoned her, but as an adult her father came back into her life and she welcomed him. From what I can see, he continues to be a selfish, self-centered old man, who does not see the error in his abandonment of my mom. I can't stand the guy and refuse to consider him my grandfather (although I am his only grandchild and he likes to brag about me to his friends), but my mom has been so happy to finally have a father and now calls and writes him all the time. I don't like it, but I can't judge and I am not in her shoes. I have always had both my parents. And so I can understand yearning for that connection, and trying to create that even with a not so great person for a parent.
I thought the scene when Alex meets Porfirio was cute. I could see both Alex's and MJ's nervousness about the meeting, not just because they were going to tell Porfirio the truth, but because MJ really wanted Abuelo to meet Alex and approve of him. When he shook Alex's hand (unlike what he did with Bruno), you could see MJ beaming with pride and Alex breathe a bit easier. Porfirio obviously got a good vibe from Alex, despite being upset at SaMJ for not being in touch over the past many days. And Alex looked intimidated by someone for the first time. :)
I noticed that to Vivi. I think Alex was being respectful as he should. Still, it was a little awkward.

What will it take do you think to convince Alex that Moora was involved? My guess is that MJ will "remember" that the skanky heifer pointed her out to the kidnappers. And didn't he and Nando have a discussion about it once or twice? Surely he'll remember that in the back of his mind somewhere.
CubsFan- That makes sense that the reason Alex wanted to send Paula along was more about security, and in his mind Maura's failure to protect MJ last time, not about him being suspicious of her being part of the kidnapping. So I'm with you Connie. What will it take for him to suspect her? Both Fer and Paula have told him they suspect Maura had a hand in the kidnapping. Is he just choosing to ignore their suspicions? Although now everyone seems to be fixated on Useless.
Vivi...Thanks for the food for thought regarding the parent/child relationship. It always help to have personal perspective. I am just upset that she has yet to speak of Paula. I have noticed that lately Alex always looks at Maura with a 'cold' look, and even when she wants to kiss him on the cheek he is not participating, in that it looks like he really doesn't want her to come near him. He is difinately different with her than how is was before the kidnapping.

Connie & Vivi, I think Alex has such a big blind spot when it comes to Maura that as Connie wrote it will have to take MJ remembering Maura's direct involvement or bruno, Elena or Dr.Evil throwing her to the wolves (much like they did with Useless) to try to save themselves. And yes, when Alex was in Toluca masquerading as Nickolas in a phone conversation with Fern, Fern suggested Maura's involvement in the kidnapping and Alex seemed to agree and say it was sad that they were surrounded by so many hyenas (or some other nasty animal).
I guess we'll see soon enough...only 6 more episodes before the grand finale!!

Loved the recap Melinama. Wow. I sure wasn't expecting Fer to be thrown over the staircase. I hated Maura acting all nicey nicey with MJ since she can't remember her part in the kidnapping. I was surprised Alex let MJ go off with Maura again knowing what happened the last time they went on an outing together. For a moment there, I thought Bruno was going to pull a gun on Fer and finish him off like he did Uli. At least abuelo knows now of the Sandra switch scheme and of course Dr. Evil is going to throw Elena under the bus if the blame Uli plan fizzles.

I think after the kind of kissing and almost congressing they did on Friday, I think she can call him mi amor now. :) In that scene with Porfirio, it was Alex that called her mi amor.
Gabe is a nice kid, but he really isn't a good match for Paula. She would run all over him in a relationship. She needs someone with just as strong of a personality as she has, but with less of the bratty tendencies. Both Roberto and Alex know how to handle her by being firm with her. MJ seems to use a mix of firmness and tenderness with her. But Gabe would never be able to say no to her. But it seems like this is the relationship the writers are pushing, and I guess in real life there are couples like this, with one partner that has a super forceful personality, and the other is just kind of a background person with little charisma. Maybe she can become his agent and run his artistic career? It would unite them and benefit them both- Gabe gets a career and Paula gets her money.
So Alex and MJ stayed at a hotel in Toluca and came back the next day to say goodby to Poririo. Separate hotel rooms I guess.
I don't think Porfirio has signed the will yet has he? I think all the conniving with Elena and Jorge was to convice him that MJ was Sandra so he would sign the will leaving all to her. Without his signature, who gets the goods?

Lola- I thought the same thing about the hotel. This has got to be the first overnight trip that they have taken together where there was not even an attempt on Alex's part to jump MJ's bones. Looks like he is keeping that promise to wait till she is ready to resume relations. But surely they must be at least having a few make out sessions (that we haven't been shown) since they seem physically more and more comfortable with each other in each scene. In the last office scene they seemed very easy in the way they kissed and embraced each other. And during the Toluca trip, Alex barely let go of MJ's hand for a second. But maybe that had more to do with fearing that one of those vultures would swoop down and try to grab her back.

This is why when some people don't get maybe why some us are so critical of a character it may very well hit too close to home.I had a father who was an alcoholic and know matter how many times we took him to AA meetings and he got sober for awhile. The lure of alcohol always pulled him back,at first i wanted to blame my mother,but as i grew older i knew and learned that alcoholism is a sickness and a disease. So the glossing over how quickly Raqhell is getting over her alcoholism is not going over to well with me.
I watched my parents marriage disintegrate before my eyes because of alcohol and how my whole family was affected by it.While i forgave my mother i wonder at times if she was the cause of what drove my father to alcohol. I suffered many years of verbal abuse from my mother, while my two older brothers never experienced the shame of self worth or wonder why in the world they were even born.
After years of experiencing self-esteem,and self doubt issues on top of years of depression, i am slowly learning to love myself warts and all. Live the life that will make me the most happy living, and criticism be darn. I now confront bullies and instead of turning the other cheek and speak my mind whether they like what i have to say or not.
Knowing that others have suffered what i have been through and come through maybe scarred but still strong gives me courage and hope.

I guess having Dr. Hernan and the other specialists tell MJ that she is in fact Maria Jose, she just had a baby and she has a stab would where Sandra would not made her accept that she was indeed MJ.
So if she has medical proof that she's MJ, and everyone is telling her:

On that topic of MJ's care for Elena, I agreed with Paula's frustration over S/MJ's concern for 'their mother'. It was thoughtless and idiotic when MJ said "Well she has been kind and loving to ME". This was after Paula reminded MJ that Elena had abandoned them and took her away from her baby, and still ignores her (Paula).
Elena is still ignoring the children she birthed. So be it. But for MJ to ignore the harm this female has done?! Where is Alec!? MJ NEEDS the emotional intelligence Alec has.
When he came to terms with the hate from his half brother he cut the ropes between blood (relatives) and love. And I think MJ needs to cut the ropes that were never truly there so she doesn't hurt the people who love her.

Thanks Anon 1:54 for sharing, and everyone else. My story was really that of my mom, but I think we all are affected at different times by subjects that come up in these novelas that touch on a personal experience. Our own experiences either make us react to something as being totally unrealistic, or react because the writers have gotten it right and hit on a fundamental truth of human nature.
Yeah, I noticed Alec was calling her mi cielo and she was responding mi amor and I wondered when did that change occur.
Another mystery for me is WHY! isn't the bad doctor showin the least concern about the money issue? He is washing his hands of Elena and he thinks he can't be charged with any crime but what-about-thewill? What'd I miss?

My second ex-husband is an alcoholic. I denied it at first because I'd never really been around it before but as the years went by it got worse instead of better. I tried to get him involved in other activities but you know how that goes. If he couldn't smoke or drink he wasn't going to do it. When he started his band it was the beginning of the end. I would come home from my second job and he would be half-conscious on the couch glaring at me. Finally I got tired of the verbal abuse of how fat and stupid I was so I got out. A person doesn't have to live like that. So when I see Raquel making a miraculous recovery in such a short time, I'm not buying it either. However, for the baby's sake I think they will redeem her.

I think the reason that Paula seems to have no interest in a relationship with Elena is that , unlike MJ, Paula had a mother growing up...MJ. Mj assumed the role of mother in that family when Elena left and weakwilled Papa fell apart. Somebody had to be strong and keep that family going, and that someone was MJ. She became Paula's mother and Papa's caretaker. Our daughters are only 2 years apart, but the older one was like a second mother to the younger. The first time we all took the younger daughter to college, I had to remind the older daughter that I was her mother as we both hustled about setting up her dorm room and giving conflicting bits of adice. Paula doesn't need Elena because she's always had MJ. MJ likes having a mother in her life ...even one as flawed and badly dressed as Elena. The actress is playing this aspect of her character very well. Remember Luis in Alborada and his refusal to believe that his madre would hurt him.

Great point about Paula having a mother figure but MJ not. But MJ did experience that mother as a brutal name calling jailer. How much abuse was she willing to take to lie to herself that she now had a mother(!?) AFTER she has found out that this woman thought she was someone else? How could she not understand that she STILL never had a mother? And why would she not take the moment to call the question? The ages old question...Why?
Connie, I think your experience rings so true on how unbelievable this very quick recovery of Raquel seems to be. I would have preferred that she admitted her problem and went off to rehab, at the same time letting Roberto have at least shared custody of the baby so that poor child has a loving parent. Or if she truly didn't want to take on the challenge, let him legally adopt the child once they find useless has been deep-sixed and let him be a single father. But we know they won't do that because Raquel was never overtly evil just spoiled and stupid, so they cannot leave the TN with her rejecting her child. This will be my plot line that I will not be happy with along with the Paula/Gabe pairing which is stupid and unrealistic given Paula's personality if both happen as we seem to think. I hold out that if Roberto doesn't get back into the child's life, that maybe he and Paula see a future for themselves and he takes that chance with someone who accepts him and who he can have a positive influence on now. Just me....

The Paula/Gabe thing will never work no matter how much the writers want it to. My daughter has a strong personality like Paula and she will push a guy to his limit to see how long it takes him to stand up to her. If he turns into a "yes dear" type of guy she loses interest in him and fast. I would never think to do such a thing! (Ha :P) I love the term "mouth breather." It totally cracked me up because that really does describe him.

What if because of Raquel's turnaround Roberto and Raquel realize that they do really love each other? That would be an interesting twist. But then again they have so much baggage between them it is hard to put that aside sometimes.

Some alcoholics can quit drinking by sheer will power, but they are usually even more miserable without treatment or AA, and more impossible to live with. In reality, they're just dry drunks. Our Raqi may be one of those right now. She really isn't convincing me, though, because we have not seen her hit a bottom, not even an emotional one.

Can you ladies help me keep track of amor real episodes? Did they show the first 2 weeks for half an hour in Mexico? If so then we are in capitulio 47 already. Two weeks in telefutura was 2 hours so that would be 4 episodios a day.

Even Roberto who was standing right there when she said called her on her nonsense.She doesn't want to accept or move on but it's too late with all her criminal activities aiding and abetting Bruno,Elena and Dr. Demented. If you go back to the episode when Alex and Paula bring MJ back to Merida and Casa Lombardo's Locos. The look he gave her when she getting into a catfight with Paula was definitely frostbite. She's so oblivious to his feelings that she keeps going full steam ahead.Whatever ending they have for her hopefully it will be enjoyable for us who have wanted to shake some common sense into this desperate heifer.

mrsmgallego- The 9 o'clock show always gets the most comments (at least from what I've seen the past year). But I don't know if that means that it has the most viewers, just the most chatty ones. :) Maybe because the 9 pm show is usually the most drama filled? I really don't know. I like all the other shows on right now and comment on them all, but because this group is so chatty, there is always something to comment back on, therefor I have more multiple posts on this show. But when I started watching last year, Querida Enemiga was the only one I watched. But I saw how many comments there were for CCEA, and dropped in to watch that show from time to time, but very sporadically. MEPS was my first for consistant watching and for commenting, and that was also 9 pm and had lots of comments.
Vivi once CS starts i don't think you and others will be short on the comments. I don't know what it was like when FELS was on i have a feeling that the comments will be hilarious by them self though.

Variopinta- I watched AR today. From what I could get from the conversation, the name the woman who came with Sixto was using was the same name the woman that was paid to pretend to play Adolfo's wife used- I think the two are friends. So Matilde was afraid she would come face to face with that woman, as well as afraid Sixto would see Adolfo. Not sure why it would have been such a problem to come face to face with that woman since Matilde would have had much more dirt on her, than the other way round. I haven't seen all the episodes since this started, so I'm sure I missed some reason why this would have mattered. The actress in the role was Venus from MEPS. Yes she is quite beautiful. Have also seen her the last few snow days at home in Gaupos. It's been like playing a game this week watching these tns that I've never seen before and picking out actors from the few I've watched in the last year.

Son interrumpidos por Rosario que les informa que Sixto y Adelaida han llegado a San Cayetano, Matilde se pone nerviosa. Mati le dice que creyó que no había mandado ese telegrama y que ya no le importaba. Manuel le dice que le interesa saber que fue lo que paso. Mati le dice que no quiere bajar, Manuel le dice que no sea niña. Mati le dice que porque quiere ponerla en evidencia hablando de cosas personales con extraños. Manu le dice que no se va a decir nada que no sepan ya. Manu le dice que se sabrá la verdad y que ella lo dejara de culpar de algo que no hizo. Mati le vuelve a decir que no va Manuel le pregunta pro que, que le de una razón lógica. Mati le dice que no tiene caso que seguramente se puso de acuerdo para que digan lo que el quiera. Manuel la toma del brazo y le dice que va a bajar aunque la lleve a rastra. Están bajando por las escaleras, Manuel le dice que en todo caso la que cometió algo indebido fue Adelaida no ella. Mati sigue buscando excusas para no tener que ver a esa mujer pero Manuel no la deja. Mati conoce a la verdadera Adelaida, Manuel le pregunta a si ya conoce a su esposa, pero ella le dice que no había tenido el placer. Adolfo esta a punto de entrar al despacho pero Rosario lo evita. En el despacho Mati sigue tratando de retirarse de esa reunión. Manuel le dice a Rosario que mande a buscar al administrador. Manuel le dice a Mati que creyó que ella y Adelaida se conocían. Mati le dice que no que es la primera vez que ve a esa señora. Mati logra retirarse de la reunión. Mati le dice a rosario que busque a Felipe y que le diga que Sixto esta aquí y que se vaya. Rosario le informa a Felipe (Adolfo) que Sixto esta en la hacienda y que se debe ir.
The girl that showed up with Sixto looked like Elizabeth Álvarez (Jimena in FELS) except for the huge blue eyes. In the credits, there is an actress, Lorena Álvarez for the part of Bernada.
Tanya Vázquez plays the part of Adelaida. I'm just not sure who came with Sixto or why. I heard both names mentioned.
Tania Vazques was Venus in MEPS & Adelaida in AR. So Adelaida must be the one pretending to be Adolfo's wife. I'll have to look for that scene, I didn't recognize her.
Variopinta- Yes, it was Tania Vasquez from MEPS on today in AR. She's very stunning. Where did you find that detailed recap in Spanish? So, was Matilde ever nervous about facing the woman who she thought had been part of the plan to separate her from Adolfo? Was was she only nervous about seeing Sixto and Sixto seeing Adolfo?
If Tania Vazquez is the real Adelia, then it was the other woman (whom I have not yet seen)Bernarda who pretended to be Adolfo's wife, using Adelia's name, because that's who Matilde met. This is very confusing. Lol! :)

The woman coming with Sixto is the friend of the woman Humberto was sleeping with, the one he convinced into telling Matilde that she was married to Adolfo. I think Matilde was scared that Sixto will see Aldolfo because he not only saw him in the garden the day of the wedding, but he also was the one who hired the real administrator . If Sixto sees Aldolfo, the jig is up. Isn't Amor Real great ?????

My DVR didn't record AR yesterday! I was so bummed. I'll have to watch it on youtube I guess. Did I miss anything good?
