thanks for the promptness. But even more thanks for explaining some of the nuances of what was being said and not just describing the action. I speak no Spanish, but between the acting and the musical background, I can figure out the plot. But to have your explanations --at all the right moments for the characters - is so-o-very helpful. thank you.

Is it possible there will be an encounter between Roberto and Ulysses that further helps MJ with retrieving her memory and gets Bruno in even more hot water -- while wearing his pants and scarf . . .

Just wanted to add that I thought the scenes with Paula and Alex while MJ was with Pedro were so cute. They seem to have developed a very sweet relationship.

Damn, Bruno! What he did to Katia--even I felt bad for her. Then he goes playing nice and innocent at home (here I think of you, Connie). Mama, I didn't know anything. Alex and MJ aren't married. So what if she'll eventually remember everything? Yeah, give us a break. MJ doesn't like you anyways.

So MJ is gonna do the tests...what a relief.

That baby Tony looks cuter everytime I see him. What chubby cheeks he has. Mmmuah.

Sorry i have no sympathy for nasty Katia as the saying goes Karma's a betyach.All her nastiness to her own brother, Vicki,Paula MJ ,Mari Lissette. Sorry not one bit sorry for her at all.

As for Vicki if i could reach through my screen and smack her it would not be soon enough for me.She still wants to believe Bruno couldn't have been in on the kidnapping is she for real?

Finally MJ you're realizing the difference between the two environments you have been exposed too, since you woke up from the drugs Dr. Demented gave you.

Bruno just doesn't stop when MJ gets her memory back she will not only not want to be in 1000ft of him she should name him as one of the people who helped get her kidnapped.

Now you know Bruno is really mad when he takes off his scarf and throws it.
 

Signs that Bruno maybe a tad bit upset, when Bruno finds out his hated step father is really his biological father from a affair with his mother.

He starts ranting and raving throughout Casa Lombardo yelling at the top of his lungs he's the son of a dog who had a affair with his mother the Ho'.

Serendipity,very much for the recap. Good episode last night if only to finally turn the whole SMJ plot to the light at the end of the tunnel.

If I was MJ, you betcha I'd want my memory back if it meant I was somehow hooked up to the hunk standing there looking at me. Was wondering when she would start to realize, " hmmmm? humky Alex with the gorgeous eyes and sinful bod, or the slimy Damian/Bruno ? Think, think, think..."

Anon, your Bruno "tad bit upset" was hysterical. I laughed out loud when he threw his scarf. You know whatever he does next will be his final extreme "plan". That look on his face as he downed the drink was as if a switch went off that sad, now you have crossed the line to full madness.

I see little baby steps starting to happen by writerville with Raquel. She has turned on Bruno too and though we had to listen to her shrill screaming, she did it all without a drink in her hand. I will never feel good about how she has never had to really pay for what she's done, and the nurse commenting how the baby suffers just hit that home more, but I guess they feel they can't have both twins turn out evil.

I guess I may be in the minority here, and I firmly attest to despising the Katia character, but if all Bruno wanted to do was get Katia off his back, doing what he and Maura did was beyond heartless and criminal. Doesn't Bruno realize that she knows some interesting little tidbits on him? I have a feeling Fer is going to find out about that video and go after Bruno, Maura or both. Beat the crap out of both of them will ya.

I can't even fathom why Vic is painted to be in constant denial where Bruno is concerned. Was that her stand-in the night before listening to the baloney spewed by he and Elena? There's mother's love, and then there's just stupidity.

And for once, Papa Smurf keeps it under control and acts like a responsible adult in talking to his daughter. No hysterics and weeping and gnashing. Good going Pedro.

My wish as we wind down to the writers...do something nice to Roberto please? If you can think of redeeming the Rack, then he deserves a much better happy ending. Thank you
 

Thanks for the recap, serendipity. In the final scenes, I thought Bruno had been invited over for family dinner before that altercation, and I was thinking --- Que the ???? So much for my 'comprension.' ;o)

I really don't see why they allow Bruno in that house, and that nobody has taken out an Order Of Protection against him. Maybe they don't have those in LATAM?

I felt kind of bad for Katia, too, even though she is a twit. Rather lame 'redemption' for her.

Why can't they use that cell-phone video to arrest fake-Mario for statutory rape of a minor? He and Bruno can room together at the local jail, fake Mario can borrow Bruno's scarves and Bruno can bleach his hair.

Thank heavens(!) Pedro el piedra did not cry last night. No puedo más.

As for Vicki, well, you can't fix stupid.
 

Wouldn't you think Alex would have security guards posted at La Casa to prohibit Bruno (and friends) from entering the place at will?

And who all lives in Pedro's two room house right now? Let's see, Meche, Cucho, Pedro, Gabriel, Paula? Cozy. Maybe MJ could live there too while she gets her memory back.

Thanks for the quick recap! Just a few little things to add:

-MJ said she would go get the brain scan, not practice photography. The was it was said sounds really similar, but basically she was saying she would go take the test.

-Raq convinced Vicky to invite Bruno over for a family dinner, and told Alex and MJ they were having a family dinner to celbrate MJ's return, in order to see if Bruno said or did anything that proved he was involved inthe kidnapping. I think it totally works out better that she and Alex go out alone instead, but that wasn't the original plan.

-Jorge and Elena told Useless that Bruno convinced them that he was going to betray them, and that's why they put him under. But now Alex has kidnapped Sandra, thinking she's MJ, who was kidnapped by someone else, and that bad Bruno is spreading the lie to the Lombardos that Useless was the one who kidnapped MJ, who is really Sandra. I don't know how Useless in his current state understood all that, because I'm confused and I have't been in a coma for a month!

-At the end Bruno said that if he can't have MJ, then Alex can't either! Which is a big uh, oh for me. Does he intend to kill either MJ or Alex?
 

It's a good thing that we reviewed all the ways to say slut in Spanish the other day, because Bruto and RaMaura used quite a few of them on Katia last night. Maura didn't even bat an eyelash when she showed the video to Bruno and he said he always knew Katia was a cualquiera, and Maura said, "oh no, she was well drugged up." Hello! That's rape, and you facilitated it! What a b!itch. Katia was right when she called her a pig. Ugh!

No, Katia did not deserve to be raped, and she did not deserve to find out about it in such an ugly, hateful manner. It's a good thing she can't remember the incident itself, but to see it on video like that must have been shattering. But, she isn't a minor anymore, and I don't think she can prove she was drugged at this point. So I don't know what she can do about it other than telling her brother, which she doesn't seem ready to do yet.

I actually think that Katia is one of the few Sorti bad guys who is truly redeemable in the sense that her mistakes are those that don't require professional help or a brain transplant. The behavior in novelas is very extreme, if you adjust for that, almost everyone has made the mistake of loving and giving to a selfish oink, oink. To me her biggest sin is her treatment of Mary, maybe this giant smack down will make her KINDER. She has the star of the novela (for me) Uncle Emilio in her court...dpd, maybe the "new beginning" in your title can come her way.

Raquel....I'm beginning to see the blue bow that we've all talked about!!!

Funny aside, I see where some commentators are referring to the mess between Elizabeth and John Edwards as "worthy of a telenovela." Glad the novelas have made it into our lexicon!!!

If you haven't seen Amor Real, it is the gold standard for novelas. This is my second viewing, it is VERY GOOD!

As for Bruno saying if he can't have MJ neither can Alex i always thought we were heading into this direction because he kept bothering MJ and would never leave her alone.

Even after she had baby Tony, but his main source of hatred has always been Alex.
 

Yogi Bruno? What a condtradiction. I can't believe they put that scene in althought good for a chuckle.

Katia, Katia, Katie...not redeemed. I think what they did to her was unforgivable but her issues go much further and if this event redeems her for all of her actions and views of "her world" than smack me with a dunce stick. The ingredients are there for her to be redeemed but she needs to sit on the burner for a while and simmer until she is tender and sweet.

When this TN is over I will miss seeing William get all worked up! No simmering for Mr.Levy. Turn up that heat and watch him boil over!!!
 

Thanks, dpd. Wonderful, funny recap that filled in a few bare spots of dialogue for me and made me LOL, especially useless Useless.

Sorry this novela is ending because I've really enjoyed it for several reasons:

1) it had an edginess about usually-avoided topics that was bold and refreshing,
2) it didn't let every evil subplot linger to the finale to be solved,
3) despite the far out storyline premise, it had fewer moments of complete incredulity and implausibility than most TN's (had to use the beanie relatively few times),
4) the action moved steadily and didn't drag and drag like some novela of the recent past,
5) it showed amazing actor growth in William Levy and even Gabriel Soto was better than I've ever seen him, and finally
6) because the recappers and commenters were first rate and added so much pleasure and fun to my day.

Thanks, DPD. Ticktock...here comes the karma. Do you think Useless's punishment will stop at the coma and the bad hair day, or are there more anvils headed his way? I think that he is not going to go along with Jor-HEY's plan , and he may be a little cranky when he wakes up completely and realizes that Dr. ONo has had him in suspended animation for awhile. Frankenstein's monster comes to mind. I think that Useless may become useful and become JorHEY's anvil. Mauron is in for some nasty weather...ojala ! I'm glad that Lisette finally has a nice person in her life. Katia looked like a drowned rat after Bruno dunked her into his bath water. Live and learn , Honey. Sandy, I agree with you. I think Katia is redeemable because her situation is realistic. I've had way too many friends who messed up their family relations over guys who were usually a bit older. Their behavior then was completely out of sync with their characters. Some stole money from parents and their attitudes towards their family was very much like Katia's towards Fernando. But thank God, they have all gotten on track again, and they're happy at home with their families. I know it doesn't excuse everything that Katia has done, but still it makes it a lot easier for me to pity her. I actually think there's hope for her.

Spoiled brat who mouths off to elders - how many teens go through that, right or wrong. She's realizing they had her best interests at heart now. She just needs to apologize to Mary.

Throwing her relationship with Bruno in everyone's face and helping him betray people- okay, she got herself involved with the King of Slime, the expert at enticing, lying and smooth talking his way through life. For goodness sake, look how it worked with his mother! She learned the worst way possible on that one.

Immaturity - she grew up very fast last night.

Dropping out of school - that will come with maturity. Fer and uncle can help her there.

If they can even THINK of redeeming Raquel who tried to murder her husband, purposefully drank herself into drunken stupors while pregnant causing her child to have to live a life of learning disabilities and possible health issues, than I think Katia deserves it. Maybe now she'll be more understanding of Lisette too.

I agree that Katia may be able to be redeemed, mainly because of her age. Cielo and Daisynjay also made some good points. Interestingly, I think the actress who plays Katia is 30, but the actress is plays Maura is only 23. So they always have Maura in heels, dressed up, to make her older looking, and Katia is dressed casually, almost always wearing flats.

As far as Katia is concerned, I don't feel sorry for her one bit. Not only was she nasty to Mary, but also to her brother and the mean things she said about Vicki all were quite narrow minded and mean. She schemed and spyed for Bruno and he repayed her in a way that should not have been a surprise for her. Sorry, she's just plain unlikeable in my book.
 

I'm not saying that Katia didn't need to learn a lesson and get a big dose of comeuppance and humiliation to set her on the right track. I just would have rather preferred, and been more gleeful, if that humiliation and comeuppance did not include rape. That just makes my skin crawl, and yes, makes me feel sad for her. So I'm not unhappy with the result- a humbled, sadder but wiser Katia who now appreciates her brother- just the method that was used.

Now let's see if she goes beyond self pity to actual character change from this experience.
 

Thanks for the recap Serendipitypb. So what is Elena and Jorge up to. I thought they agreed with Bruno that Uli would take the fall yet they tell Uli that Bruno is setting him up. Are they trying to pit the two of them against each other. Let the best schemer win then. Bruno was at it yet again like a dog to a bone with the Sandra crap. Once again Alex gave him the beat down. I'm glad MJ is warming toward Alex. That's progress and she even chose him over Bruno again LOL. At this point, Bruno has to die. He won't ever leave Alex or MJ alone. Question is who will do it with his long lists of enemies and victims. Vicky once again wants to live in denial that Bruno is evil. Why won't she open her eyes or is it too hard for her to admit to herself that he is unredeemable. Bruno sitting in the bathtub reminded me of Tony "Say hello to my little friend" Montana on Scarface. Poor Katia. She had to find out the hard, painful way that Bruno used her up and tossed her out like thrash.

And Raquel would certainly take him back. But, because of his involvement with the kidnapping scheme and his lust for money and loathing of honest work, he needs to be punished. I don’t think it’s going to happen.

I can better imagine Roberto and Raquel getting back together. She’s starting to see the light I think and Roberto wants that baby badly enough to work with her. That would tie up two loose ends.

Although I’m having trouble letting go of Roberto and Paula getting together, I think the above is more likely, AND why else is Gabe still in the picture, as much as I hate to admit it, if not to end up with Paula?

HGR, I totally agree with your reasons for not wanting this novela to end. It took me longer to get into than most, but it isn’t too far-fetched most of the time and keeps moving.

Yeah, I feel sorry for Paula. She probably ends up going with Gabriel, who seems to have no charm whatsoever. I mean he's nice...but that's about it. She could do a lot better.

Hombre, interesting fact about the ages of the actresses. I think everyone noted that the actress playing Katia looked over 18 or even 25 lol, but I actually didn't notice that Ana Brenda was so young. She did a good job appearance wise and acting.

Vivi, I too hope Katia doesn't stay in self-pity stage. That would be annoying because we already had Raquel doing that.

So I need some help. Have Jorge and Elena given up the idea of getting Portfirio's money for Sandra who everyone knows is now dead? Are they at this point just trying to save their own skin against kidnapping charges? And is that the same for Bruno ... only he thinks he somehow can still get MJ? Do I have this straight? They're claiming they don't know anything about MJ's kidnapping but are saying that Useless dumped Sandra with Jorge and Elena.

Help--A long time ago, someone averiguo in the comments that it was Daniela Romo who sang the song when bedding Fer. It had the words, desviteme despacio and donde hay amor no hay pecado. I can't find it without a real title. Does anyone know if she recorded it for public consumption or only for Sortilegio. I like it better than Il Divo.

Does anyone else think that Katia was a little over the top, maybe a little insincere, in her boohooing Fer over her betrayal by Bruno?

Raquel, according to TN rules, has to be "rehabilitated". For me, it just happened too fast in 1/2 an episodio. But I don't think she'll get reconciled with Roberto. I don't think he really wants anymore--there's too much bad baggage between them. I see him emerging as a professional man of business and if Victoria and Fer get little Vicky, he would of course have access to her (my ending, of course).

Looking for that song, I found this Youtube clip of Sortilegio bloopers. It's not a spoiler and it's somewhat funny. In one scene, Felipa calls Bruno -- Bruto es un grosero instead of Bruno es un grosero.

I loved how Alex and Bruno were compared to each other by their clothing color but both showed very different personalities to MJ. Alex stayed extremely calm while Bruno was losing it. yes, Alex finally put Bruno in his place but normally he would have been yelling right along with Bruno. And in the end MJ chose to stay with Alex.

Why does Bruno continue to treat the people that's on his side(erik, raquel, katia, maura)like sh*t then turn around and expect them to help him. Im still waiting for Erik to get a backbone and get even with Bruno. Raquel has already shifted sides it would seem (especially after the way he treated her anoche). Bruno giving her the "be quite" symbol while everyone was there was priceless.

Im hoping Katia tell all that she knows.

Maura better watch out b/c I see Bruno turning on her soon since everyone knows that MJ left with her and not Bruno when she was taken.

Katia redeemed? Looks like it's going to happen, but the judge got offed in the DR because of her hacking into her brother's laptop. That was pretty darn bad, even though she didn't know for sure what Bruno would do.

Maura, Maura. What a selfish person she is! She was walking down the stairs airily telling Lisette, sorry, hermana I just don't have time to visit you again today - too much on my plate. Here comes the pie cart, honey!

There wasn't a plan for Alex and MJ to go out to dinner. Vicki organized a family dinner of celebration for her return. I think they invited Bruno to see if he'd slip up or say something incriminating. Now that was solid-gold gall, calling MJ Sandra when it had been proven she wasn't S! And putting his arm around her and calling her "mi amor" right in front of Alex. I agree that he's planning to murder MJ. That "if I can't have her no one can" business only fits with that scenario.

I had to listen to Elena and Dr. Ethics talking with Ulises several times. Very confusing. I still don't understand it. Were they trying to convince him MJ was Sandra so he'd try to kidnap her away from Casa Lombardo? Trying to get him to kill Bruno? If they just wanted to incriminate him for the kidnapping, why not just turn him loose and call the cops. They could say he made up the coma stuff.

I could not agree more about Katia. NO ONE deserves rape. And I was terrified by the scene where Bruno grabbed her and pushed her head under water. How awful.

Katia is portrayed as a spoiled, snotty, inconsiderate and selfish young woman. However, again I repeat, no one deserves to be date raped and then abused by a former lover.

For those who want her to simmer, well date rape and the shaming existence of that tape will likely leave her very sobered. She should simmer plenty, I bet.

I am afraid even mild mannered Fernando will freak out when he finds out what happened to Katia. I would. What will he do to Maura, i wonder?

As to Raquel, Que the he!!? The actress looked great last night: is that enough to redeem her? Her "crimes" are much worse than Katia's—did a quick trip to Nordstrom and the hair salon along with a single day of tee-totalling fix her right up? Very poor resolution of the Raquel story, if this is all we get.

How about she decides to be a parent, embraces a career as a lay nun, re-enters rehab and tries to fix things with her family?

Someone please help me with why Raquel has to be redeemed at all? What TN rules would we be breaking if she rode off into the sunset with her bottle of tequila? We never even saw her hit bottom, unless we count the spin-th-bottle incident as hitting bottom.

Please, those of ye who are wiser in the ways of TNs, elucidate.
 

LOL, Elna! Raquel did look good. She was snobby, selfish, inconsiderate, immoral, am I missing something? She gets to be redeemed maybe because Roberto accepted being the cause of a lot of the problems between them. He neglected her, and so she went from bad to worse. A hooker doesn't deserve what happened to Katia. The poor girl was drugged. Maura isn't much better than Bruno & deserves what's coming to her. Katia has begun to see the light.
 

I don't necessarily agree with this theory, but it's been suggested here that Raquel gets redeemed to spare Vicki the pain of both of her twins being bad to the bone. And Bruno will surely die.
 

In the Corazon Salvaje ad, we already have Yáñez yelling & a baby supposedly dead at birth, all in typical Mejia fashion. I'm afraid we are really in for it. But hey we survived FELS. That will make us really ready for La Dueña de tu Amor with Colunga.

I think that Katia will be redeemed because she is so young. As my Ukranian student used to tell me when I complained about the younger students in my class never volunteering to give their speeches : ''Children need time.'' She even had that adage put on a cake she brought to the last class ! Katia's redemption will be the writers assurance to all of viewerville who have endured or are dealing with problem children that wayward teens can be reformed into upstanding young adults. Raqhell, on the other hand, is an adult who needs to pay the piper for her many, many sins...attempted murder, disrespecting her mother and other elders, knowingly endangering her unborn baby. I will be very disappointed if she is redeemed without doing any meaningful penance. I don't think that Maura will be redeemed. She will either go to jail , or more probably have an untidy death....perhaps a nasty fall down a flight of stairs in those 3inch heels. I think that Dr. and Mrs. Jorrible are setting hairless careless Useless up to kill Bruno. And, yes, it does seem that Bruno's latest plan is to kill MJ so that Al won't have her. Wow, Bruno, you have totally wasted your life...great planning.

Sorry it may sound like Bruno is planning to kill MJ but i don't think he will. The one person he would not regret one damn bit of getting rid of is Alex.

Alex has been for him the main thorn in his existence, from his mother to the inheritance and then MJ.Even if he does plan to kill MJ instead like so many of you have suggested. Let's consider the person doing the planning it Bruno guys, how many of you think he will be successful.

I didn't know Ana Brenda who plays Maura was only 23 years old,she has a bright future ahead of her acting wise.

To tell you the truth i thnk she has surpassed Bruno in how evil she can be, because she so charming and always smiling and know one would suspect her other than maybe Paula, Felipa and Ferdumbo.

Why can't Vicki renounce Bruno already i seen it done in many novelas with less evidence against a villain unlike what they have against Bruno.

I certainly don't want to be Maura when Ferdumbo finds out her role in Katia's date rape scheme.
 

The Sortilegio cast will be on Cristina Feb 22, so I believe the TN will end Feb 19.

Me either! We saw (on the island) that my 'boyfriend' Fernando has some big-boy muscles. He may be a gentleman but Maura just might find herself b-slapped into Sunday.

As many have said, kudos to Ana Brenda. I think she might someday be a serious star. She is lovely, talented and she can walk on marble floors in 5 inch heels. I raise a toast to an actress who made me really dislike her casually eeevil character.

Anon, I don't think any of us who felt Bruno was hinting he would kill MJ rather than let Alex have her thinks he would succeed.

We always know from the get-go in a TN that the two main love interests will be threatened many times, perhaps hanging from a cliff by their fingertips with the villain stomping on one hand. But they always make it through to the big wedding in the finale!
 

Was anyone else surprised/startled when Bruno grabbed Katia and stuck her head in the water? For some reason that really made me jump. Maybe because it was so fast and so mean. It just struck me funny. (not funny ha ha.)
 

Since this is only my 3rd novela, I am glad it doesn't last as long as 9months like the others. 5nights a week takes a lot out of me. Geez! how long can you drag out a love story? or any story for that matter?

The one caveat is not seeing WL more.
 

As I've said in the past, I personally think Ana Brenda is more beautiful than JB, and seems a better actress. I'd like to see her as a heroine in the future.

This stupid heifer keeps following and listening to the other hapless wonder Bruno who couldn't kill off his step brother, stay married to the woman he psed as his step brother to get the inheritance.

Had her father locked up but not for long, and now the failed kidnapping and brainwashing attempt is falling to pieces.

Yet she still wants to follow him by setting up Katia's date rape and now wants to blamed Useless.

Hello miss idiot of skankdom you took MJ to the place she was kidnapped by yourself and they left you there but only took MJ when you're just as wealthy.

Plus everyone knows that you're good friends with Useless too, what a i would say dumb blonde but she's a brunette.
 

Speaking of Bruno dunking Katia's head (that was awful), did anyone notice the beautiful place where he's staying? Is he supposed to be in a hotel or spa? I absolutely loved the looks/decor/architecture.
 

MrsImgallego Ama Brenda was the leading lady in Juro Que Te Amo and going against the normal TN script she had sex with another guy she thought she was in love with.


The guy was played by Marcelo Cardoba who plays Roberto and he was the villain. Anyway the guy dumps Ana Brenda because he was two timing her with another girl but she came from a rich family.

Anyway the Ana Brenda role eventually winds up with the galan of the novela but every once in awhile the novela does not use the same old tired but true script.

As for her acting in the novela it was ok but no where near her performance in Sortilegio.
 

elna june I'm with you about Raquel. but like a few of us have been speculating, there's this pretty little bow, make it pink (I hate pink), to tie her up in that will make everything all better and mommy will hug her and love her as her only "good" natural child. In true TN fashion, Bruno will take a fall of some kind (off a cliff would be good - in homage to the judge he offed)but he's a goner. I think there will be a lot of us that are going to cringe at some of the wrap-ups at the end with a characters.
Too bad too since the show all in all was fairly good and entertaining with some awesome acting by a few folks. I hate to get to the last couple episodes and want to start throwing things at my TV.

Rachel isn't constantly drinking now. She had coffee at Maura's. I was surpised the other day when she saw MJ and didn't try to beat her up for stealing Useless from her. She is still hung up on Useless.

I don't know when a mother renounces her child. I tried to envision but I can't. My own children were living life differently. They are not criminals or addicts or anything, but I would have hoped better lives for them. More education. I sometimes blame myself. My oldest son was killed in an auto accident at 18. Up to that time I thought I was doing pretty well for being a single Mom with no help. I know after my son's death I wasn't as hard on my younger children as I was with my 2 older ones.... I don't know that I could stand it if I was the mother of Bruno. Sorry, that is probably too much real life in a place we like to just have fun with.

Loved the Bruno is a tad bit upset...

I orginally thought Victoria was having a dinner in honor of MJ, but changed it when I saw them go out.

I think Jorge, Elena, Bruno and Maura are doing a CYA at the moment, but we know Jorge's clinic cannot funtion without the money..

Speaking of Maura's (AB's) beauty vs MJ's (JB's). I think the Maura character was always supposed to be more outwardly beautiful/gorgeous. MJ is supposed to be more humble and have a inner beauty that shines through. She even acknowledges herself that Maura is more beautiful, and in the conversation that she has with Alex about Maura's charms, he doesn't deny that Maura is beautiful (more beautiful) outwardly, but that that is not what attracted him to MJ and made him fall in love with her. I think that would have been a bit more hard to believe had they made MJ a great beauty from the beginning.

The title alone is a put off; so outdated. No more remakes!! I have in mind more in the lines of a 50ish attractive father (i.e. Pierce Brosnan/ Big of SATC- type) brings home a lovely woman in her late 29s early 30s, and then son (WL) takes an instant disliking to her, but eventually falls for her as well. that's the basic premise - maybe it's been done before, I don't know. But no Maite, por favor. Prefer someone with a sophisticated aura about her.
 

dpd: so sorry about your 18yr old son. we always want our kids to turn out better, but in the end all that matters is that they're happy, healthy, and out of trouble.

Thanks for sharing your heart and your experience as a mother. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child. I am glad you were able to transmute that pain into a deeper compassion for your younger children. Being a mother is the hardest job in the world, single or married, with all successful or struggling (two of my three are indeed struggling and may always be). But just know I really appreciate you speaking from the heart that way.

((DPD))) So sorry to hear about your son. My first child was a son, and he unexpectedly died the day after he was born from a heart defect. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child that you've raised for 18 years. My cousin David was 6'6'', blonde, blueeyed , and very handsome. We grew up together, and when we were both 16, he died in a car accident .[He was drunk.] I think of him a lot as my life unfolds. He never got married or had kids...such a waste. In life as in the novelas, most parents never stop loving their children no matter what they do. I am lucky to have 2 daughters who turned out very well. They are good people with good jobs and nice husbands. However, we all watch our kids make decisions that we know are going to lead to problems. I guess Vicky sees a sweet little darkhaired baby when she looks at Bruno. My mother used to tell me that no matter how old I was, I would always be her baby. A mother never forgets that baby she held, nursed, loved no matter what happens after that baby grows into an adult.

Serendipitypb: So sorry about the death of your son. I can't imagine how hard that must have been. I lost an infant daughter to SIDS many, many years ago and that was hard enough. My son was only 3 at the time, but he remembers it happening.

I guess you're not a Maite Perroni fan and it's cool everyone has their preference.I like Maite and most definitely like her chemistry with William.

IMHO it makes his chemistry with JB look like grade school dating.

As for the type of adult novela well i guess since both are named to be in Cuno De Lobos we will have to see what part they give to William. First i read it was the Alejandro Larios part now they are saying it's the other brother i think Jose Larios so we'll see.

Ey! Since y'all are talkin about new shows and stuff, I enjoy Vecinos on Telefutura after Sorti and Perro Amor while Sorti is playing. I switch in between commercials and then go back to Sorti. They have the cousins who have sex with each other there. I love the intro song. It is a music worm in my mind. Can't get it out.

Victorinos was good but got stooopid with the Victorinas. I heard they were made to film the last episodes by this weekend to end it. They won't pay them for Feb.

Part of what we bring to these forums is our own experience and it reflects in our opinions. It's what we share.

I would also like to echo the comments from Vivi and Daisynjay this great forum that Melinama has created for us is a sharing of love, laughter,pain and yes sometimes tragedy.

While we rant and rave about certain characters or actors playing these characters. Sometimes when a person view of a portrayal may not concide with everyone else.

We don't know maybe it's something in that character that has hit close to home of someone they've known or met.

While i bless you for the courage and strength and sharing your personal pain others may not be strong enough to open up and expose something so personal to them.

Once again i thank you Serendipity and others for disclosing their personal triumphs and tragedies and giving those of us an encouragement to one day share theirs.
