El Clon, Fri., June 18 - Summary and discussion
She demands to speak to Alej alone. Pablo tells Nati not to worry. He says, Gloria parece ácido como un limón, pero ella tiene un corazón de azúcar - 'Gloria seems acid like a lemon but she has a heart of sugar'. Alej tells Gloria that Nati is the love of his life and she capitulates. A lo que no tiene remedio, remediado está - 'That which has no remedy, is the remedy' or we would say, 'what can't be cured must be endured'. Gloria comes out and and hugs Nati. Nati is introduced to the gang.
Ali tells Jade that she may escape being whipped in this world but no one escapes the scourge of Allah and he indicates that her scourge may be losing Jadiya.
Jadiya interrupts Said giving some jewelry to Rania. She insists on Jade getting her share and on Said giving it to Jade personally and kissing her. Rania is furious.
Andrea, apparently with Nati's permission, gives Marisa Nati's new address.
Catfight at Gloria's; the sKanK and Diana. Enough said.
Abdul tells the servants at Ali's house about the evils of Western life. He says that he is going to rescue Mohamed by getting him a second wife without Latifa's knowledge.
Albieri tells Luisa that he has appointment at a lab before he goes to work. Since he is obviously lying, she decides to follow him.
Daniel asks Dora what she knows about Albieri's godson, Diego. She tells him how Diego died and that Albieri sometimes called him Diego. Dora has mysterious stomach pains (the kind that might result in her needing a blood transfusion, which would end up showing that Daniel is not her child?). She says that it's nothing just amoebas????? (What could she mean? Amoebic dysentery? That's serious.)
Daniel asks if he looks like Diego. Dora replies that Cristina thought that as a child Daniel resembled someone but she couldn't put her finger on it but he reminded her of her trip to Morocco.
Luisa is following about 10 feet behind Albieri's cab and this is especially noticeable since there is no other traffic.
Lucas and Leo are not in favor of cutting off all support for Nati but Marisa insists that is the only way to bring her home.
Clara is so intent on telling Carolina about the outrages of Escobar that she doesn't answer the phone at work. Meanwhile Enrique shows up at work drunk and asks Carolina if she'd mind if he took Said's sister as his second wife.
The cabbie tells Albieri that they are being followed. Albieri refuses to tell Luisa what is going on and insists on going to the lab.
Rosa waits for Nati at school and gives her her savings.
And old friend of Albieri's, a priest named Andres [this actor specializes in priests - I've seen him play a priest on at least two novelas, Doña Bárbara and Pasión de Gavilanes. He did play a bad guy on La Tormenta, though.] The Padre can see that Albieri is troubled and when Dora shows up at the lab, he realizes that there are a lot of complications in Albieri's life. Albieri is tempted to confess. He tells the priest that he will call him.
Nati takes Rosa to the apartment. Rosa asks if Nati is happy and she replies that is much happier than she was in her house.
Lucas tells Rosa how much he admires his daughter who is fighting for her happiness the way that Lucas never did. He says that he will support his daughter.
When Said comes home, Jadiya puts a plan into action. She puts something (it looks like orange juice) on Said's jacket without him being aware of it. When Said goes to Rania, she finds the stain and offers to clean it. Said leaves and goes to see Jade. Said asks Jade to dance for him. Jade agrees provided he lets her go out of the house. Said agrees that she can go out as long as it is with him. Rania is devastated.
The credits roll.

Que tengas un buen fin de semana.
Jean, thank you for the recap. What was Jadiyah trying to accomplish with the stain?
Escobar and ex-wife and partners meet in a restaurant but no one has met El Clon yet! Also everyone is working for "the Arab"! Such coincidences!
As I've mentioned before, it bothers me that when women have no money, no career and no options. I know that there are attempts to change things in Morocco but this all takes time. Thanks for the translation about Gloria. At least she works unlike Marissa!
Lynne
My teacher in Guatemala used to say something like 'a lo mejor tengo amebas...' whenever she had a bellyache, kind of like we would say 'I just have some kind of stomach bug, no big deal.'
And yes, the hospital is definitely in poor, long-suffering Dora's future. Good call on the probable Incompatible Blood Type Ploy. But I think her ailment will be gynecologic, not gastric, don't you? :)
I, for one, was happy to see Gloria stop sucking on that lemon! Now if we can only get that "cabeza de fósforo" Marisa to lighten up -- or perhaps light up leaving just a pile of ashes around the remnants of a sorry broccoli band?
Novela Maven- you are probably right about the 'amebas'. It isn't any more inaccurate than 'bug' to describe a malady.
Yes, I am glad Gloria has some ability to control her outbursts. If she gets to know Nati even a little bit, I'm sure she will like her.
Marisa can't go up in flames fast enough for me.
Lynne: Since there is only one park; pool; nightclub; upscale restaurant; beach club, etc in Miami, it is surprising that we haven't had more Close Encounters of the Clone Kind yet.
This was a boring episode for a Friday night, you summary was much better and the comments have been LOL funny this morning. Yes, ashes would work for me.

Meanwhile, I'm sure getting tired of waiting for something outstanding to happed about, with, for El Clon. Somebody sometime soon has got to wonder who this guy is and why he's so very like Lucas. In fact, I'd like to see Lucas be the one to discover Daniel.
Have a nice weekend folks. Lois
I find it so strange that no one questions Said having two wives. What is wrong with these people in Miami?
Abdul was a hoot telling about the sinful ways of Americans. Surely that was not his first trip.
Raina is so jealous of Jade. She knew that she was to be the second wife when she married the jerk (Said), what in the world did she expect.
Jadiyah is truly a la The Parent Trap. She was so funny talking about haram regarding the gifts.
Rosemary
The scen that really got me this time was between Carolina and Enrique. This woman is going to have to make a decision and soon about him. I do not envy a woman in her position. Worse if she were already married to him. At least there's still time to make the break. Ugh!
Man, Said has it bad for Jade still. I can't believe he was so crass --well, maybe I could-- as to ask Jade to dance for him despite all that's gone on. Was it testosterone calling or something more? He can't get what he wants from Rania. I wonder how long it will be before he admits his mistake and wants to give her back to her family in Morroco?
Joan
I was laughing out loud at Luisa following so closely. I thought Albieri figured it out sooner than he did because once they pulled up to the curb and I thought that was Dora's, but then moved forward again.
Said is never going to get over Jade. I can't figure out where this is going. He's agreed to the divorce. Unless she turns up preggers by Lucas, he can't get out of the divorce that I can see.
It doesn't make much sense that Rania thinks Jade is trying to get Said back. Jade was delighted and over the moon with the divorce and even before she got it, she was telling Rania she WANTED her to be first wife.
Jade would be better off just hunkering down and waiting another month or 6 weeks or whatever it is now. But then she never does the sensible thing. Dancing for Said is playing with fire.
We all know "dancing" for Said means S-E-X, and then when she gets knocked up, she wont know who the baby daddy is.
About Dora, I'm pretty sure she will have some sort of womb cancer for carrying a Clone, and it will bring o the fore ALbieri's playing God and and affecting the lives of so many other people.
