Corazon Salvaje Episode #115, Ren is raped, Leo gets a dosage of her own medicine, Gabe and Jime profess their love for eac

Aimee is helping Renie to bed. I don't think how she pretends to do it with him. He is almost unconscious.

Serv is with the dress maker. The dressmaker gives him Elo's letter and he gives her a little bag of money.

Salma is thinking about what Jime told her about love being the most important thing in the world. Salma's "abuelos walk in the room and apologize to her for delaying the trip and thank her for her understanding. Los abuelos think Salma is doing this out of the goodness of her hart. Abuelo gives her a brazalette that was Mari's at her age. Salma, says no, no I can't. They insist and also give her some money. Salma can not resist.

Aimee is having sex with Renato's corpse, eeer, body. Aimee is really sick. Renato's sees a distorted image of her. Aime keep asking him where is his will and he belongs to her.

Salma is paying up Serv. Lulu is hot on her heels. Lulu sees how Salma gives Serv more money for Intel on Branco. Serv tells her Branco is in someplace called Costa Esmeralda.

Remi is back with the fish folk. They happy about him being back. The big guy asks Remi if he made his peace with Lulu. Remi tells him not to mention Lulu to him anymore. Remi is going to get some water, Eusebio is going to help him, but Remi gives Eus a look of "don't you dare". Poor Eusebio steps back. Pedro asks Remi why didn't he wait to be pick up by them. Coli says, yes we would've picked you up. Remi tells them listen, unfortunately I am the bearer of bad news. Remi tells them about MDR illness and the Juan needs now more than ever.

MDR is taking a ride around town. Juan and Reggie promised her from now on they'll do whatever she wants.

It seems the love potion only renders Renato limp for love making. Renie is back on his feet getting dressed. Aimee is asking him giggling (I can not stand her giggles) if he liked it. That woman has no shame. Renato is not a happy camper. Renato tells her she disgust him and tells her to go away. Renato tells her he'll pay her to go away. Renato leaves the room and Aimee tells herself, the money she paid the witch was a good investment.

Salma is thinking about the generosity of the abuelos, then she thinks about Serv giving her Barnco's location, then she thinks when Branco telling her to go to hell. Salma is convinced that she is a bad person.

Juan and Reggie have taken MDR shopping. They are treating her like a spoilled child buying for her everything she put her eyes on. Fully comes to talk to Juan about the trial. Fully tells Juan that his testimony, Fully, at the trial was neutral. He wants to become friends agian with Juan. Fully invites Juan for the soiree at his house tonight. Juan declines the invitation, but has second thoughts when Fully tells him that Renie is going to be there also. Juan joins the girls back. MDR gives him a taste of something she is eating. Juan takes it and gives her a hug.

Renie is taking a bath thinking about what happened to him. It seems he is not using any soap. Renato is thinking about Aimee and she gave him something to make him lose his will. He's pretty upset he says "maldita sea" and goes underwater. Renato if you could do every one a favor and stay down. sigh a gal can only wish.

Fully is someplace I don't know where. It doesn't look like home. He signals someone to join him, me thinks is Serv. Yep, is him and Serv gives him the letter Elo left for Fed with the dressmaker as a toke of his loyalty. Fully is very surprised about the content of the letter. it really sucks now to be Fed or Elo. At the same time Fed is thinking about how pretty soon he'll everything that is Fully's, his money, his wifey, and power. I thought Fed had Fully's wife already. Back to Fully, he instructs Sev to have the letter delivered to the intended recipient. Sev try to protest but Fully orders him to do as he is told. Good move by Fully. It seems he does not want to arouse any suspicion. Serv leaves. Fully is still not believing what the letter says.

Juan and Renie arrive home with their child. Juan just bought the whole store. They are overwhelming her, I think. MDR wants to have some alone time with Clemencia. Juan asks Reggie that he some alone time. Reggie understands his ply. Juan leaves the cottage for a walk. MDR tells Clemencia about how she is trying to hide her illness because she doesn't want them to find out about her. But they do not fool her. MDR know they know. MDR doesn't want them to suffer on her account. She is happy she is going to see JD soon. MDR has a cough attack and we see blood on her hanky again. MDR want to be hugged by Clem the same Clem hugged her when MDR was a youngster. Clem hugs her and MDR talks about wanting to be with JD. JD is outside the window waiting for her.

Juan is ridding on the beach. MDR and Clem continue their crying fest. Clem asks her about the letter. MDR tells that Arca had the letter. Clem asks her about her content. MDR tells her the letter said that Constance suspected Leo poisoning her.
Clem asks MDR if she sure. MDR tells her she read the letter more than once. MDR didn't who Constanza was but she knew the mentioned in the letter was Leo her sister. Clem I didn't know Leo's evilness would go this far. God forgive her.

Juan is walking on the beach blaming Leo and Rod for what is happening to him. Juan is also thinking about the promise he made his mom and that he won't break it. Then Juan thinks about Fully invite to play cards and that Ren is going to be there. I see Renie losing everything tonight at Fully's house.

Celia knocks in Renato's door. she brings the invite to the poker game.

The dressmaker gives Fed the letter Elo left for him. Fed talks to himself, since the casino was closed there's nothing to entertain a man other than banging his best friend's wife in this town. Now that Elo is not coming there's nothing to do, unless I go to her house and play cards with the cuckold of her husband as if nothing is happening.

Jeeez, the weather and tine in this TN changes so rapidly. I thought when Aimee and Ren where doing the deed was night, well it seems it was the middle of the day. It was nice and sunny. As it was just seconds ago when Juan was taking his stroll on the beach. Now is pitch dark at the finca. Leo is thinking how alone she is now. Then she takes a sip of cognac, uh oh. MDR is in Leo's room. Is Leo hallucinating? MDR startles Leo. Leo drops the glass, which probably is a good thing knowing what we know about the cognac in that house, and asks MDR What are you doing here. Leo tells MDR you have nothing to do in this house and tells her to leave. Leo tries to drag MDR and force her to leave. MDR tells her I'll leave but first you have to accompany me. MDR tells Leo how a bad cat she has been. MDR wants to take Leo to the dungeons. Leo of course doesn't want to go there. MDR drags her. Wow! MDR is very strong. Hard to believe that sickly woman would be able to drag strong Leo as if she was a kid. She drags Leo. I hope MDR know what she is doing. What about if Orca is down there.

Jim is contemplating her engagement ring. Gabe approaches her and cover her eyes. Jime recognizes his hands. Gabe asks her, where she's been. She said she wanted to be alone. They profess their love for eac other. Jime is concern about heir marriage because of her being a gitana and he being white. Gabe placates all her concerns and to seal the deal gives a kiss. I've noticed since Jimena was sold to the tavern guy, she doesn't dress like a gitana any more. She is fully dressed now. She is looks prettier. Gabe just has have and idea to proof his love for Jime.

The sisters are in the dungeon. MDR takes Leo to the room where she had her prisoner. MDR throws in Leo's face that all Leo did to MDR was for Rod's love. But nothing worked because Rod is still in love with MDR. Take that Leo hateful cow. Leo can't believe her ears. Rod still in love with MDR? MDR my poor sister, the only thing you accomplished was the destruction of your family. But Juan and Reggie are going to be happy the same way JD and I are going to be in eternity. MDR tells her how Arca tried to rape her and how poor Mirta saved her. MDR tells Leo that was the day when all her suffering ended. MDR tells Leo who she trusted her and how much che loved. But Leo only did bad things to MDR. MDR forgives her and pities her because Leo is going to end up alone. MDR leaves her in the room. Leo cries out to MDR not to leave her alone. Leo just sits in bed begging MDR no to leave her alone there.

Gabe put a crown made of flowers on Jime's head. They are inside a hart made of candles near the water falls. Gabe profess their love for each other. Too sweet for my taste. Yeah, yeash, yeah we get it you guys love each other. I think Gabe is getting lucky tonight. they are in the water now. Seriously?

That's all for tonight.

Sue thanks for the recap. I was completely taken aback by the MDR, Leo meeting. I too was wondering if it was a cognac induced hallucination. It seems to go against what MDR said yesterday in town to Rod, not blaming Leo, OR am I completely confused.

Your title was spot on. Ren raped, he was feeling so violated and could not get clean in that bath it seemed. Aimee and he so deserve each other. Me me me me...

Gabe and Jimena and the rainbow colored waterfalls that so often occur in nature. They are a sweet couple, but why are their love scenes so over the top, always the heart shape to frolic in.

Everybody needs to be there for Juan according to Remi. He is a different person now that he is finished his pity party. He is all about what everyone else needs except Lulu.

Thanks again Sue.

Bernadette

Sue, thanks so much! I need to watch the episode, and I will be back.

Tank you Bernardette,

It took me longer to tag this and it took men to write the recap, but it seems I got it. Let's see if I remember for next time. I guess MDR does not anybody to blame Leo other than her. I think since they are sister and the aggravated pary, probably MDR thinks she is the only one with the right to do it.

Jeri, for some reason when I downloaded the episode I was only able to hear the people talking not the images. Probably I am doing something wrong as always.

Sue, people say you can watch it at the download site. I notice there is an option on the download page.

I always have to convert it to Mac version, because I get picture but no sound when I download.

I will write you email about this. :-) We'll get it straightened out.

Sue, thanks for recap! I did stay up to watch episode last night. Unfortunately Juan wasn't on enough. Glad to see MDR drag Leo down to dungeon to give her a taste of her own medicine. I would of locked the doors. I hope Aimee doesn't get pregnant for real from her wham bam thank me mam attack against Renalto. To bad that potion Aimee put in his drink doesn't help his brain grow.

I think the writers were stretching the truth mightily last night when they had MDR drag Leo to the dungeon. That woman is supposed to be in the last stages of TB, so strength should not be available to her. But this is TN land, you know. Renato, whom I have nicknamed Dumbnato, couldn't have been drugged that much if he was up and at 'em after the deed was done. Aimee is one sick puppy and the anvils will fall on her head eventually. And I agree, that there wasn't enough of Juan and Regina together. It's a good thing he has Regina or he wouldn't make it through losing his mom again.

Hi again. Just wondering if there was anyone out there who could translate the dialogue between Gabriel and Jimena from last night? Please please please? I bet it sounds just as beautiful in English as it does in Spanish. :-) Thanks in advance!

Denise

Thanks for the recap, Sue. Also thanks to Connie for yesterday's recap.
True, MdR should be too weak to drag Leo down to the dungeon, but maybe it was one of those adrenaline surges that people get in emergencies. Interesting that MdR left the door open, but Leo just stays on the cot, sniveling. Waiting for Arcadio to show up and take advantage of the situation.

Bernadette, lol at the rainbow waterfalls occurring in nature. I was pointing those out to my daughter.
Denise, the words were beautiful, but my translation skills are limited. It seemed to be a version of a wedding ceremony, with Gabe pledging his love for Jimena. As my daughter noted, she had to keep looking up at him so the wreath didn't slip over her eyes.
La Paloma

Thank you Sue for the wonderful recap. I fell asleep early last night so I missed it. Also, my computer went on the fritz again and I had to take it to the repair shop to be worked on. hopefully it will be repaired and returned on Monday.

i will be working on making 15 special CS ornaments this weekend.

Jody :)

Sue, your recaps are hilarious...many laughs. If Renato goes underwater in his bath and doesn't stay down as a favor for everyone, the least he can do for us is stand up. That was a funny scene of Ren trying to wash Aimee's cooties off of him. But then, he was date raped on the other hand.

After listening to Lulu and Jimena's lectures and receiving such kindness and love from the abuelos, Salma has developed a conscience. Redemption time and maybe Branco will be a possibility for her now if she does what's right.

Did Fully say he loved his trophy wife, Eloisa, or did he say she doesn't love him? Sorry, I have no captions on my tv and my Spanish is not the best. Thanks.

There were several what the heck moments last night as mentioned...mainly frail MdR having the strength to drag Leo around which she wouldn't have been able to do even if she were healthy and another Disney moment with the magically appearing candles, colored waterfalls and flowers. Who knew Gabe could pack all that stuff on his horse especially since he didn't even know where Jimena would be. LOL, Bernadette, on your rainbow waterfalls comment.

Hope to see more Juan, as well, but even without him on the screen all the time, this is such an entertaining novela, I will really miss it when it's over.

GinCA

"Did Fully say he loved his trophy wife, Eloisa, or did he say she doesn't love him? Sorry, I have no captions on my tv and my Spanish is not the best. Thanks."

I don't know what they said but I think I remember Jimena reading Eloisa's palm earlier in the show and telling her Fulgencio loved her but she should be careful around him b/c he could be a danger to her. Eloisa blew that off because she and Fed think Fulgencio is a feeble old man.

Thank you Sue! Another fun recap!

I agree with you about the time and weather changes on this TN. It was a dark and stormy night for Leo while Jimena and Gabe had a clear sky and full moon. Speaking of Jimena and Gabe, is anyone else tired of being hit over the head with the hearts and flowers bit? We get it writers, they're in love.

Regarding Leo and MdR: I remember a couple of times Leo reacted badly to seeing Rosary beads; once way back in the story when she saw Clemencia wearing MdR's Rosary beads and another time not so long ago (I can't exactly recall the circumstances). MdR was carrying Rosary beads and a small Bible last night. I noticed MdR made sure she touched Leo with them. As we know, Leo is very superstitious. I can't help thinking that Leo felt compelled to go with MdR because of her superstitions. It may not have required strength to pull Leo along, just the veiled threat of damnation if she didn't. But then again, Leo was nipping off the cognac bottle so the whole thing could have been a hallucination. A good one though! Anything that punishes Leo is okay by me.

I don't get why Fulgencio is making amends to Juan. That seemed really odd to me.

"I don't get why Fulgencio is making amends to Juan. That seemed really odd to me."

Fulgencio was never against Juan. Fulgencio is for whoever is in power. When Juan was locked up and powerless he was down with the Montes de Oca Crew.

Now that Juan is free, 1/2 owner of the finca AND has all of Senor Aldama's money back, Juan is cool again.

Sue thanks a million for the recap.
I have been wondering how MDR got into Leo's bedroom. She also proved to be much stronger than we all taught.Leo, that's what happens when you are full of Rod.I was cracking up about the title.Ren is raped indeed. He seemed to help shed his clothes though. It could be just me.For a slut like Aimee,it must have been good. I also think Fulg. truly likes Jaun.At the trial, he probably thought he was being neutral. He knows what Jaun is capable of, so better get on his good side.
When does this mid-night madness end?I can't imagine getting beach sand in my hair every time my man wants to profess his love, but if Jimena and Gab are into it,good for them.

Hanna

Thanks, Sue! LOL! Loved "Aimee is having sex with Renato's corpse". I couldn't understand how a sick woman in the last stages of TB could drag Leonarda all the way downstairs, or why not a single solitary person heard the ruckus, either! --Purple and gold waterfalls, even with a full moon's light, is a bit much for me to swallow, too. The way Jimena and Gabe professed their undying love for one another was sweet, but a bit late. No angst and no anticipation. I'll say, though, it was more satisfying than Ste. Regina and Juan's finally getting it on. Too tame by half for a wild man.... I miss the raving lunatic in him as well as his long locks. Regi's turned him into a wuss.

I think Fully was just plain shocked that Eloisa really didn't love him. I thought he said, "She doesn't love me???" Seemed he was actually a bit hurt. The guy has one hell of an ego, though, considering his power and his success in the blackmarket, so it doesn't surprise me he winced at that point.

Jardinera, as a viewer who saw the uncut version of Juan and Regina, I can attest it was hot.

Go back to Wednesday's recap, click on Aribeth's links in post No. 2 to watch the uncut version.

I can recommend it; and judging from the discussion of others who did, they can, too. ;-)

Sue, I absolutely love your recaps. You have a sly sense of humor and clearly present the facts faithfully. I just finished watching this episode and having your recap as preview made it all that more enjoyable. Good job.

Too bad Gabriel wasn't born in this century, he would have a great future as a wedding planner.

Bernadette, you asked so here it is:

Gabe: Welcome Ximena.

Ximy: Gabriel this is...

G: Ximena... your love has united the sea and the stars for me. You are my guide, my light, my hope and dream, my breath in each moment. And with this heaven, this full moon, witnesses of my promise of eternal love... I can't imagine my life without you. I am yours and always will be. I'll love you to the end of time.

X: Aw shucks, I bet you say that to all us gypsy girls.

Carlos

Thanks, Sue! I saw that the recap was up when I got up today, but I had to run out to the store before I could get to it! Talk about torture.

Re: The coloured waterfalls: It's algae in the water. They'll all have brain amoebas soon enough.

...actually, that could explain a lot.

xlntperuvian: I was thinking along the same lines as you about MdR possibly not needing the strength to pull Leo along, except I was looking at it from the drug-laced cognac angle. Even if it wasn't a hallucination (which seem to be going around as it is), I'm wondering if maybe she had just enough to put her in a position where she wanted to refuse but wasn't actually capable of it.

I did like the imagery of that scene, either way - MdR in all white, carrying the white rosary and white Bible. God's gently-avenging angel. I was hoping she might be planing to lock Leo in. Oh well.

If Ren's not dead from downing the drink (yet), maybe it's cumulative - a full dose in a single glass might be deadly, but diluted by an entire bottle, has to build up in his system before it has a fatal effect? Gotta love how Aimee's response to potentially-killing her husband wasn't, "You know, maybe I should either get out of here, or feing concern and call the doctor to throw suspicion off myself," but, "Eh, what the hell, I'll have one more pony ride." I'd have a bath, too. God only knows what kind of filth she's carrying.

Hi there!

Carlos, it was me who asked for the translations from last night's Gabriel/Jimena scene. I can't help it...I'm in love with their story! (Not the sad and horrible parts, of course. LOL) And that bonus at the end...really liked that. :-) Thanks!

Denise

Denise (FPA), I'm sorry, duh, a senor lapse, of course it was you. And I was just horsin' around with Ximena's lines hopin' for a laugh. I'll put up the rest of it in a bit, but first let me take my hat off to Gabe, that man is a freakin' magician. Not only did he set up all the props that you guys mentioned, he managed to arrange for clouds to go behind the moon. WOW! Imagine the planning that took.

Now picking up where we left off before I turned silly:

Ximena: Gabriel, your love has taught me that nothing is impossible. Love is pure submission. It is your eyes that are the two beings that illuminate my heart. Gabriel, it is your eyes that are my dreams , your eyes are my dreams and I... I am your slave. It is your lips that set me free each time we kiss. It is your arms, the strength in which I feel safe and secure, And I too, declare as witness all of nature, that I love you Gabriel, I love you. I want you and I to be together forever.

Gabriel: Ximena... this bouquet of red and white flowers is the symbol of our love that I present to you and with it I present my heart..

X : I accept it, Gabriel, and in turn present mine to you.

G: I love you... I love you and I'm yours.

X : I love you, Gabriel, I love you... para siempre, para siempre!

G: Para siempre, para siempre.

Carlos

xIntperuvian, ITA about the Gabe Jimena/hearts and flowers routine.

Black Heart Jardinera, I concur about missing Juan's long locks, almost like Samson, seems it took his edge off. Hopefully he does not have the same fate.

Thanks for the translation Carlos, but it was Denise who inquired as she posted.

LOL wedding planner , may be a team effort with Gabe and psuedo Frenchman from the casino.

Bernadette

Thanks, Sue. I had a hard time staying awake last night. Hub gallantly shouted ''Tickets'' every time I dozed off [about 10 times] , but then he fell asleep ,and I missed the end. Jardinera~~I miss Juan's long locks, too. I am a sucker for long hair on guys. Carlos~~Thanks for the translation of Gabe's speech..very romantic and flowery...me like. I just noticed that this novela has not featured much of the usual telenovela ''mi vida''. ''mi corazon'', ''mi alma'', ''mi cielo, '' that I so love. Ah, those honeyed words we love to hear. In Arabic, it's ''Habebe.''

Carlos, still laughing at, "he managed to arrange for clouds to go behind the moon. WOW! Imagine the planning that took."

I forgot about that special effect!!!

Bernadette

mad marley, now that you mention it, I seem to remember Leonarda was drinking; she looked tipsy. So drinking the potion might have an effect on her willpower to be led. Glad you mentioned that.

I'm even wondering if María del Rosario was even there now. I think she was, but it was pretty surreal. I think she's got one foot in the clouds already.

Jeri: Thanks for the heads up on the love scenes.
========
Mad Marley: I sort of thought MdR looked like a priest and it seemed to me as if she was almost performing an exorcism! Lord knows Leonora could use one.

Thanks Sue for the recap. Yep. Aimee did violate Renato. When MdR showed up in Leo's room, I thought she was hallucinating. That startled me when her reflection appeared in the mirror. I think MdR is putting the past to rest and forgiving those who hurt her so she can die in peace and with a clear conscience. I felt bad for Juan as he felt hopeless about his mother's impending demise. Gabe and Jimena and the rainbow colored waterfalls was a bit over the top but what else did we expect with those two LOL. So is Juan going to make an appearance at Fully's shindig? Looking forward to Monday's show.

There are 134 episodios. We're finally in los últimos capítulos. I am losing my beauty sleep with this one. I am way too old to party down 5 nights a week even if it is to get my nightly fix of Juan. Only three more weeks of no-doz and eye drops.......

Count me in as another who misses Juan's long locks. I love the short curly hair don't get me wrong. I just love the long locks that goes with Juan's untamed personality.

pirate babe, it's funny, but the whole time María del Rosario was being decent to Leonarda, I kept thinking, "...there's no way I'm leaving without forgiving you, so that you can't foul up my chances at heaven and Juan de Dios!"

The look on Juan's face when Fulgencio kept repeating that Noel was going to be there appeared to show worry.

I'm thinking he wants to be there in order to aid Noel in case something goes down.

Jardinera, as far as I know, there are 135 episodes, ending on Friday, August 27.

Hmmm...I'm kind of worried about Juan going to Fuglty's party. I'm afraid that he is going to punch out Rennie. Don't get me wrong. I'd really like to see him punch out Rennie, but I'm afraid Juan would get himself in trouble. Maybe he just wants to ''talk'' to Rennie and warn him to stay away from his mujer. Yeah, that's it...he wants to ''talk'' to Ren..like really upclose and personal. By the way, I thought Juan had a big mansion somewhere near the beach. What happened to it?

Ok, so I thought Fulgencio told Juan that NOEL was going to be there at the card party.

Admittedly, I was eating chips, drinking milk and brushing our cat, Rocky, while ostensibly watching this episode.

But did he say instead that RENATO was going to be there?

Jeri: Oops! I guess it's four more weeks of wearing toothpicks under my eyelids. ; ? )

======
Juan swore against venganza so what's up with the poker game? Winning the other half of the hacienda from Ren and then giving it back just to make a point?

Jeri, I thought Fully said Renato Vidal will be there. Unless Ren has a change of heart or Fully comes by and tells Ren that Juan will be there, Ren's said he's staying home.

Well, that's a weird enticement; why would Fulgencio think Renato's presence would be a kicker for Juan's attendance?

But they did have Leonarda point out that Renato's only HALF owner of the place. And I thought this card-party side plot was kind of curious.

Why would they set this up, I was thinking. Could be a good reason.

I also thought Fully said Renato Vidal was invited. Did not get why he told Juan that.

Jeri, multi-tasking while watching CS. Amazing. Knowing no Spanish when I started watching I often did not even see the scene I was concentrating so much on the captioning. I am fortunate that it is televised at 10pm here. After a particularly malignant day at work I watched CS after two glasses of wine. (multi-tasking)Made so much more sense to me ;-)

Looking forward to next weeks episodes.
Bernadette

Thanks for the recap Sue. Yeah Ren did get raped but I don't understand why Aimee was happy after he yelled at her. Wasn't she expecting him to be her love slave?

Thanks for the dialogue of Gabe and Jime, Carlos!

I'm not sure whether the MdR/Leo scene was real or imagined but it had the desired effect of tormenting Leo.

Speaking of drinking and learning languages, I had 4 brothers from Colombia as students , and they told me that brother Omar only spoke English when he was drinking !!! Also, I had a lovely young architect from Milan who told me that she was nervous going out to a dinner with Americans...until she had a glass of wine. I guess that a little liquid tranquilizer loosens up our inhibitions and helps us relax . Maybe I should start serving wine in speaking class.

Bernadette, yeah, I usually don't multitask while watching the show.

But on Saturdays when we grocery shop, I treat myself to some oven-baked mesquite barbeque chips and a good lounge in front of the TV.

However, our cat, Rocky, already owned the sofa when I got there, so I had to pay a toll of brushing him.

P.S. Rocky

Sorry for the double post.

Jeri: Rocky has beautiful markings! Seems this time around my whole family has cats that color. Even the extended one in Norway! Give him a treat for me.
LOL! // I think Fully wants a little excitement and wants to observe Ren and Juan interact, or maybe he just wants to insure somebody comes? He always has a method to his personal sort of madness. Guess we won't know till Monday night.
===========
Susanlynn: You meet so many interesting people due to your profession. Do you ever take your class to dinners? Our Spanish teacher had us out to dinner once. Sounds like having them out for pizza and a pitcher might just get them all trying their luck at English. > ; ? >

Another thought I had about Fully's card party, everyone was invited prior to him finding out about Eloisa and Feddy. If everyone shows up Ren/Juan and Feddy/Eloisa, things could really erupt. Was Rodrigo invited?

Not to promote alcohol consumption, but Mad Bess' observations made me think. The environment that partaking in libations provides is a socializing opportunity. This then becomes less about the semantics of language and more about communication, which then involves body language , culture, etc. My experience with nonverbal children has made me realize just how much the nonverbal communication (i.e. body language)plays a huge role in how we communicate and not just the actual spoken word.

Sorry, way off topic, but peeked my interest Mad Bess.

Bernadette

Jardinera, thank you! :-) Rocky will appreciate that.

And I must apologize, because I forgot Aribeth's video recap links for this ep.

Episode 115

And for the previous episode:

Episode 114

Jardinera~~~The community college where I teach has gotten pretty formal. We used to have ESL luncheons and everyone brought a special dish from his/her country . This sometimes led to problems for me because I don't eat red meat or fish or baby animals [veal, lamb] , and I'm not good at trying unusual dishes. This led to what I refer to as ''the kebe incident''. I had a very sweet young guy from Syria who really , really wanted me to try his mother's kebe [kind of a lamb burger with pinenuts inside]. In the past, we sometimes took the students out for lunch at the diner across the street from the college, but that led to what I refer to as the ''I-want-to-pay-for-your-meal incident'' ...same guy. Many of our students do not have a lot of extra cash, so we stopped taking them out. A few years ago, I had a priest from Syria [originally from Iraq] who had a parishioner who was a former student of mine. The three of us met for dinner and ran into a male friend of my hub's .who sat down and embarrassed me .[Then, he called hub on the phone to ask him if he knew that I was out with two guys]. Now, we usually just sometimes have a little party in the classroom at the end of the semester if we do anything. Also, in speaking class when they give speeches about their countries, they sometimes bring in food. Also, my boss sets up lunch tables in the cafeteria with American students studying Spanish, French, Chinese, and Arabic and any of our students who speak those languages. I have the best job in the world...even though I have no retirement and no benefits. I meet wonderful people who are fascinating and appreciative every semester. They teach me more than I teach them.

Sue- I just finally watched the episode, and I loved your funny take on the events. Having just watched the Gabe/Jimena scene, I'd like to add some more context to it. When Jimena mentions that she doesn't think they can marry because he's white and she's Gitana, I think she was specifically speaking about the right to get married, as in a church. Gabe then follws up by saying that if he has to renounce his beliefs (creencias) he will, to be with her. We all know that she's Catholic Church baptized Angela, so marrying in the Church will be no problem eventually (that's also likely the reason she has been so drawn to the Church and its rituals because she has memories from her early childhood). But as an unbaptized gypsy, the Catholic Church would not have married her (and still would not in this day) and I'm not sure what other choices there were in that day in Mexico. That's why Gabe decided to give them their own special marriage ceremony in a place Jimena loves. The rainbow falls cracked me up, but the actors (who were dating at the time) looked like they were having fun swimming and making out in the water. :)

Another little scene that cracked me up- when Celia brought the freshly washed Renato his invitation to the poker game, she was eating him up with her eyes. I thought the poor guy was going to get raped again.

Sue, thank you for the terrific recap.

The card game should be interesting since Fuly always has an agenda that is never good.

I loved the Leo and MdR scene. I hope it is was dream and that Leo has many, many more.

Looking forward to Monday.

Vivi, thanks so much for that info about the church and gypsies. If I ever knew that, I forgot it.

It makes sense of all the angst the two of them have suffered over their differences.

I can only imagine one reason why Fulgencio made such a big deal out of telling Juan that Renato was invited to his card party. He is hoping for some kind of confrontation. Maybe he figures if Juan and Renato "rattle each other's cages" enough, he can take advantage of it in the card game. One, or both of them may make a foolish mistake and he can swoop in and take the spoils. I don't think Fulgencio got as rich as he is by honest means. This is his card game in his house - that means everyone has to play by his rules...

Sue, back at work and can finally comment.

Thank you for the excellent recap! Very thought provoking as it generated 50 comments! I so enjoy your observations and comments, i.e.: "I've noticed since Jimena was sold to the tavern guy, she doesn't dress like a gitana any more." You are so right...

I thought the distorted image of Aimee mirrored her as she truly is - vicious, vacuous and vindictive. Ack...

Fully's retribution will be swift and painful. I would NOT want to be either Eloisa or Fed...

GinCA, I agree that Salma may be developing a conscience. Even if she tells the truth now, she has a lot to do penance for. Besides lying about being Mariela's daughter, didn't she and Gris contemplate doing away with Jimena all together at one point? And even with all that, I'm not sure how and if that will help her with Branko. He loathes her so unless he has a complete change of heart, I don't see them ending up together.

I cheered MdR's taking Leo to the dungeon. So, she was the stronger person by far. Her heart and spirit helped her survive what Leo never would have.

I liked the Gabe and Jimena scenes. You are right Carlos - Gabe would have been a fabulous event planner!

Good morning all-

Sue thanks for the recap!

There was no Noel Friday night, boo hoo for me :(

The two scenes I enjoyed the most were MdR and Leo, which I am 100% convinced is a hallucination on Leo's part because she was partaking of Renato's poisoned cognac. Leo looked terrified, horrified, fearful for her life- all good things! The other scene was Jimena and Gabe, although no offense to my CS family here, it was so CORNY!!!!!!! Those lights were ridiculous, I could not stop laughing, but I really enjoyed their "exchanging of vows" amongst nature. Their sentiments to each other were wonderful.

I am with xInterperuvian; I think the card game is Fully's means of creating some action around town, as he knows Juan and Renato are sworn enemies at this point. In the same vein as Bernadette, I'm thinking he may be doing this to actually lure Fed and Eloisa into a trap and get revenge on them then.

More tormented Leo, more Noel!

Thank you all for all your comments. Carlos, thank you for translating Gabe and Jimenas declaration of eternal love. It was too cheesy for me. Im a cynic when it comes to love and romance. Although, I have to give to Gabe; they guy nailed every detail, he didnt forget anything. The card playing party was suggested to Fully by his beloved wife Elo. Fully was complaining of boredom since the Casino closed, theres nothing to do in town. I am sure something is going to happen there since that is the main talk now

Hmmm..That makes sense. Since tbe casino closed, there isn't much action in town. Also, it seems correct that Fugly may use the card party as a chance to get revenge on El and Fed somehow. Do you think that he is going to play cat and mouse with them in public....taunt them and tease them in front of the guests? Some people like to do their complaining in front of an audience.

Great recap, great comments. :) Thank you very much, Sue!

Well. After so many hot cave scenes with Juan and Aimee and another five thousand scenes with Hot Rod/Orca and Mummy Leo in the bed we finally got some sweet protagonist amor in this week. Juan and Santa Reggie were very tame (especially knowing Juanito's cavebunny past) but absolutely lovely.
As for Jime and Gabe... Two blushing virgins from the 19th century performed at least 15 Kamasutra positions in the lake of Chernobil and in the middle of a giant heart. Way. Over. The. Top. These kids are so cute that I could eat them with a spoon, but unfortunately they're smitten by the Cheesy Disney Porn With Muchas Flores curse by Mejía. Anyone remembers the love scenes from Entre el amor y el odio and Fuego en la sangre (especially the Jimena-Óscar scenes)? :)

I also thought the meeting b/w MDR and Leo was a dream/nightmare that Leo was having until MDR started talking about Acadia almost raping her. Would Leo even know about this? I cant see Acadia telling. And if it wasnt a dream how the heck didnt MDR get to the house? inquireing minds want to know. Somehow I cant see Juan/Reggie or Clemencia returning to that house with MDR.

What time period is this TN? B/c the different color light show would have required lights focused on that one spot of water. I just cant see that being done with candles.

Was Aimee faking her pregancy b/4 Juan and Reggie left?
I know Juan and Reggie have only been together for a few days since the trial but how long were they on the water?

Even if Aimee was to get preggers she would have a lot of explianing to do if the baby is born 2 or 3 mos. late isnt about time for her to take a nose dive down those stairs and fake a miscarriage

This is the 64 thousand dollars question. :) It seemed to be 8-10 days. BUT if I base the timeline on Rosenda's belly than it had to be at least a month.
