Caray, Caray!

While I am looking forward to Lo Que La Vida Me Robó I have to wonder just how long it should take to do a remake of anything, especially by the same network.  I never saw the 1983 original (Bodas de Odio), so I don't have a basis for comparison to Amor Real.  Updating the story to the present should change a few plot points and character traits, especially for the female protagonist.

There are many novelas remade multiple times by Televisa and for different reasons.  I end up wondering why they try remaking something that's already perfect and whether anyone will ever stop to think that Enough is Enough and let's do something new for a change.

Questions that won't be answered, just to let ya'll know up front (and I'm sure you can think of more): Where the heck did Clemencia go? Did she ever inherit the finca? What was Raul's personal business? Do Noel and Mariela get married? Did doctorcito marry Rosenda after she had Rod's baby? I have to agree with what everyone wrote last episode, that there were some unsatisfying things about this novela, especially the lack of Juan/Regi time. But I, too, have really enjoyed it - the historical setting, the swashbuckling colorfulness of it. Thanks to everyone. Now on to the recap:

Review of Juan and Regi talking about Juan not going with her to Leonarda's, Regi is so happy he is alive, he came back, he should go see their friends who got married and give them the best present, that he is alive! I love you's.

To Doc Miranda's office, he is thinking about poor Renato, how someone to whom he offered friendship could end up being taken over by his desire for vengeance, killed by it. He picks up the note Regi wrote that says "para Juan", then we switch to the fishermen's huts. The newlyweds are all sitting around a fire talking about how they are happy but would be even happier if Juan were there. Pedro says but I told you all that Juan is always with us, he is in our hearts. Coli says but it would be better if we could see him in person. Remi says we will never forget him, never. Suddenly Juan comes strolling up, saying how come you are talking about not forgetting me when I am right here! Juan, Juan!!! All are overjoyed, hugging all around. He says he came to wish them well on their marriages. They tell him Renato said he was dead, that he had drowned, and Juan tells them Renato is the one who is dead, Arcadio killed him. All impactados.

Noel and Rod are talking at the house of Renato and Leo, Noel is saying Leonarda did everything she did because she loved you. After Leo shut up MdR for all those years and poisoned Constanza, do you doubt she could also have killed Brigitte?

Back to Juan and fishermen, Juan is telling them how he ended up in the same cell at the finca where his mother was held captive. That Rodrigo was going to kill him, but he escaped. Doctorcito comes running up, shouting for Juan - he gives him the letter and tells him it is from Regina. Juan says Regina? and looks puzzled and a little perturbed. We hear Regina's voice reading the letter that tells him that even though people are saying he is dead, her heart tells her he is alive and she will see him very soon. Juan, you have made me the happiest woman in the world, now that I am expecting your child. I want you to know so there is no doubt, that I never asked for our marriage to be annulled, that I never stopped loving you. I have prayed to the Virgin that you will come back and that we can be happy for always. Juan smiles and says Regina loves me! (I thought he already knew that). And the love of Regina is above all hate, our love is above everything, and everyone, thank you Lord.

Rodrigo is telling Noel he had nothing to do with Brigitte's death, absolutely nothing. Noel says his nervousness indicates otherwise and asks him what happened, Rod says nada, nada. Noel says at least you know Leonarda killed the mother of your daughters, Regina and Aimee. Regina chooses that moment to walk in and hears this. What did you say Padrino? What are you talking about? Noel asks her forgiveness, but tells her that Leonarda poisoned Constanza, and Regi says no, how do you know that is true? Noel tells her that MdR told Clemencia before she died. Regi says Dios mio, what kind of family are we that we kill each other? Now all of a sudden Mariela, Don Alberto and Dona Inez are there and Inez asks Noel what he is going to do with the house? He says close it for now, there has been too much tragedy here. Regi says and what about the finca and he says that was the beginning of our tragedies and there is too much bad juju there, too. (What about Clemencia?)

We go to the finca where Rod is with Arcadio, (that guy really does travel at the speed of light). Arca says he has done what he promised and has Rod brought what he promised? Rod asks for the key, and Arca tells him it is the only one to the cell where Leo is. Rod gives Arca a very heavy suitcase and says here is what I promised you. No one is ever to know about this negotiation, understand? Arca says he does. Rod tells Arca to take another exit because it is the most secure. Stupidly Arcadio believes him. He goes back to get the bag of Leo's money and jewels, and heads out the alternate exit. He promptly falls into the shaft that Rod had found before. Arcadio is moaning and saying my legs! Rod leans over the edge, and Arcadio calls him maldito! Rod says after all you have done, did you think you would just get away? Rod goes to leave and Arca says you can't leave me here, you have to get me out of here, traitor!!! Rod walks away.

Leo is sharing the cell of MdR with some rats and crying. She hears Arcadio moaning and starts to yell for him, Arcadio get me out of here, please! She is shocked when Rodrigo shows up at the door. He looks at her with intensity and says I'm sorry my dear Leonarda, but Arcadio can't let you out, and I have one question. Why did you keep MdR in here for all those years? Leo cries and says I'm not guilty, it was Arcadio, get me out of here, please! Rod says no, you don't deserve to be let out, not only did you kill the love of my life, Maria del Rosario, you also murdered Constanza! She says, no it's not true, Rod says stop lying! Leo keeps begging to be let out, but Rod goes on, and says in addition to that, you stole all of my money! Leo is begging, please let me out of here. Rod looks severe and says would you rather be left in here or go to prison as a murderer? She says, plaintively, you said you loved me. He says I lied, I never loved you, I only used you. The only woman I loved was MdR and you took her away from me. For this you are going to pay and stay here where you kept MdR, and experience the coldness, the craziness, the loneliness!! She continues crying and begging. He kisses her hand, and tells her he has some bad news, he asks her pardon for having to be the one to tell her this terrible news. She stops and listens, what are you talking about? He tells her it has to do with Renato. She says what happened to my son?! Rod says He's dead, he's dead, Arcadio killed him!!! She starts screaming NOOOOOO, he can't be dead, he can't be dead! Rod leaves while she continues screaming, she falls to the floor, screaming and screaming.

We go to the Juan/Regi residence, Regi is in a pink bathrobe, and Juan is very sweetly telling her to take it easy, he wants her to be well so their child will be healthy. He kisses her stomach, and she says I love you so much! He says, I know, you said it in the letter! They are both happy he read the letter. She notices his wounds on his face and asks him how did he get hurt, who hurt him? Juan flashes back to Rodrigo beating him in the cell, but says it's not important. As my mother said it's better to let go of resentment, I don't want to fight with anyone, all I want to do is be happy with you, that is all that is important. He says he loves her and kisses her, and he feels the baby move, they are both very happy.

Beautiful red/purple/yellow sky, and Rod is pacing in his house, realizing he needs money to get out of there. He needs to get back to the finca and get the jewels and money from Arcadio. And suddenly he is there. He walks past the covered furniture without seeing the letter Arcadio wrote detailing his crimes.

At the doc's office, Pablo has just received a letter from Rosenda, He fondly reads "Pablo, mi amor" Mom and I are fine, in response to what you asked me, I wanted to tell you something my father told me once. That Arcadio rigged the wheels of the carriage your uncle was driving so that there would be an accident and it would kill him, by the orders of Rodrigo Montes de Oca. Pablo thinks, Rodrigo Montes de Oca!

Crashing waves and we're back at the finca, Rod is looking at Arcadio at the bottom of the shaft, telling himself he has to find a way to get the money and jewels out of there. He turns around and conveniently there is a large branch which he picks up. He prods around next to the unconscious Arcadio. Arca comes to and grabs the branch, they struggle. Then Rodrigo has a big rock which he throws down on Arcadio, and another rock as Arcadio moans in pain, then is silent. Rod says "maldito." Now Rod is back in his bedroom, we are to assume he somehow used the branch to get the bag out of the hole and was teleported back home.

But, not so fast, Aguacil Breton appears with a search warrant and sets his soldiers to searching the house. Rod shouts, don't touch anything! Breton says this is an official document, go on searching. One of the soldiers finds the pink glove in the drawer - Capitan, look what I found! Breton says, what do you have to say about this woman's glove? Rod says ain't never seen it before and don't know whose it could be. Breton tells Rod he is officially arresting him until this investigation is complete.

Now we are at the prison and Cpt. Breton is showing the glove asking if anyone recognizes it? Phillippe recognizes it, it is Brigitte's! I gave those gloves to her as present before we left for Mexico. Rod says, this dude is lying, and asks him for proof. Phillippe says of course I have proof. When we found her body she had on the other one, and I kept it. He pulls it out of his pocket and hands it to Breton, who holds them up and says they are the same, what do you have to say now, Rod? He says I didn't kill her! It was Leonarda, she killed her out of jealousy! Horrified gasp from Phillippe! Breton says but this glove in your bedroom proves you were in on it. Rod says I'm not going to say one word until Leonarda gives her declaration. Breton says we will do that, but for now, you are the only one implicated and he tells the soldiers to lock him up.

Breton goes to the finca and finds the letter written by Arcadio. He confronts Rod with it and says here Arcadio detailed your crimes, and we also accuse you of the murder of Leonarda. Rod says it's a lie, let me be! Breton says, everything implicates you, confess, for the great love you had for Maria del Rosario, confess!! Rod leans against the wall repeating, Maria del Rosario. Okay, yes, I did it, I did all of it, I killed the older doc Miranda because we were afraid he would squeal, yes we tried get rid of the bastard, and I also asked Leo to ask Arcadio to kill Rosenda because no way am I going to recognize that I am the father of her child! I helped Leo get rid of Brigitte's body, that is all. That is what I am guilty of, leave me in peace. Breton says, Rodrigo Montes de Oca, for all these crimes you have confessed, you will be imprisoned for life. He locks Rod in a cell, and he has his turn with the rats.

Dramatic sky, and we are at Juan and Regi's. Noel is eating dinner with them and says how delicious it is. Regi says Juan prepared it. Noel asks what they wanted to talk to him about. Juan says since you are Regina's closest relative, I want to ask for her hand. Noel laughs in surprise and says, of course, of course! Juan holding a ring, asks her if she wants to return to being married to him. She says, of course, my love, with all my soul. Juan then puts the ring on her finger with her wedding ring. She shows Noel how beautiful it is. They kiss and Noel says may good bless you, and with all my heart I hope you are very happy.

We go to Rod dreaming in his cell, remembering everything that happened, Maria del Rosario and Juan Sr. MdR saying I would rather you kill me! He tosses and turns remembering his cruelty to Regina, and MdR telling him she forgives him for all the pain he caused. In the dream she is telling him he, too, needs to ask forgiveness, forgiveness from all those he hurt, while he still can, so he can live in peace. Rod wakes up groaning, looking around saying Maria del Rosario, his hair is not a in pony tail now. He keeps his new hairstyle and he has asked to see Noel to ask his forgiveness. He begs Noel's forgiveness and tells him he recognizes what a good and noble man he is. Noel says if he is truly speaking with his heart, he forgives him because he wants to live in peace and because he knows that Rod will be suffering in his soul with all the pain he caused. Noel starts to go and Rod says before you go, I want to ask you a favor. Noel says what kind of favor? Rod holds up the key and says after a month, not before, go to the cell where MdR was held. Noel says why? There is a strange present I want to give you there. You will be free to live as you want to, to be happy with the person you want to be with. Noel says I don't get it. Rod says you will. Go after a month has passed, not before.

Next to enter is Regina, she starts to try to touch Rod, to comfort him but he won't let her touch him, he says he doesn't deserve it. He tells her he begs her forgiveness for all the pain he caused her, that he knows he was a bad father, he always favored Aimee, and he is also guilty of her dying in the way that she did. Regi has been crying throughout this. She says I have nothing to reproach you about, nothing to forgive you for. She kisses his hand, he kisses her hand and says he never recognized her nobility, her generous heart. She says she wants him to know she loves him with all her heart and soul, Rod is crying now, too, and holds her to him. He thanks her and says he wants to tell her one more thing and then will let her go.

We are back at the J/R house and Juan says your father wants to talk to me? Regi says yes, but you aren't obligated to. I imagine how difficult it would be for you, so I release you from any promise to do so. We go to the fort and Juan is talking to Rod through the door. So you are asking for my pardon, for all that you have done, and here you are in the same cell where my father suffered so much because of your deeds, your orders. Rod says I know I've done terrible things, but the only thing I can say in my favor is that I did it for love, the love of your mother. Juan says but love does not destroy, love is noble. Rod says, yes I know, I see that now. Juan says because of the child we are expecting, I do forgive you. Rod says thank you, thank you for your nobility and compassion. Juan leaves and Rod walks slowly into the cell, saying forgive me Maria del Rosario, forgive me. He clutches his heart and collapses into the hay, pulling it down, and we see where Juan Sr. carved Ma. del Rosario into the wall. Rod cries, forgive me, clutching his heart, collapses to the floor and dies beneath her name.

Now it is a month later. Noel is slowly walking through the caverns at the finca. He smells something terrible, and opens the door to Leo's cell with the key. He just about falls over from the stench. We see rats on top of Leo's dress and what is left of her body. Noel realizes it is her, it is the body of Leonarda. He puts a cloth over his nose.

Clouds in the morning sky and we are at the notario office. Lulu is saying to Phillippe, do you really think you can make a living this way? He looks like the Burger King king in drag, wearing a ballerina skirt, toe shoes, and a crown and the sound speeds up so it's Spanish with a French accent in chipmunk. Lulu says what makes you think you can do this? He says he was such a good dancer at the pescadores wedding, and at the casino, he goes on talking about how wonderful it will be, dancing around her.

Happy get together is going on at J/R's house of all the newly weds, talking about their honeymoons, thanking Juan for the money to pay for them. Juan reveals that he and Regi are getting married anew. Everyone all happy and laughing. We go through time to the day of the wedding and Jimangela, Lulu and Jacinta are telling Regi how what a beautiful bride she is, which indeed she is.

Fulgencio is out for a stroll before the wedding on a promontory. He is telling himself how he is going to the wedding and no one will ever know what he has done. He lists everyone he has killed, congratulating himself. We hear ominous music and suddenly he sees a blue opal jewel on the ground. He picks it up saying he has heard that opals are bad luck. But he doesn't believe in superstition. He puts it in his pocket telling himself he is a very lucky man, a very lucky man. He walks a few steps further, trips on a rock, falls and cracks his head open on another rock. We see his blood dripping down the rock as his open hand holds the jewel. Pretty lame, if you ask me.

By the waves crashing on the rocks we know it is a transition, and Juan's wedding posse is riding in on horseback - Juan, Gabe, Remigio and the pescadores galloping along the beach all dressed up. Then we see Noel and Regina in a carriage, the town is all decked out and Juan and posse are riding along with them to a cheering crowd. Juan and Regi blow kisses to each other, everyone is cheering, the wedding party waving to the crowd, all of this to the theme song. Noel is escorting beautiful Regina with a huge train on her dress down the red carpet, followed by the other newlyweds, and doctorcito with Phillippe. While Juan is waiting for her at the alter, he looks up and sees a pair of white doves, he is moved, he knows who they are, very sweet. The Priest speaks, brothers, we are united today for the sacrament of marriage, it is what unites two people in a real love as in the case of Regina and Juan, who after all of their suffering, come to this day of triumph, to reunite with the blessing of God. This love to which we are witness is an example for all couples, remember that love is not selfish, love is courageous, it does not rejoice in injustice, but rejoices in truth. Truth, like love, cannot be hidden.

As the theme song plays, they exchange rings, and we see the doves superimposed on Juan and Regina as they are touching foreheads. Jimangela and Gabriel put the lasso around them, we see them exchange coins. Noel is thinking may God bless them and may they be happy. He turns around to see Mariela and nods to her, thinking he is sure that what will be is love. Juan and Regi stand up for everyone to applaud and they kiss, real, deeply. Then as they are walking out, Juan picks up Regi and they kiss again. We zoom out to see Veracruz from the air, then see them kissing on the Luzbel, and the narrator comes on saying - this was the story of the great love of Regina Montes de Oca and Juan de Dios San Roman, a love that overcame hate and vengeance, this is a grand story of love, the story of a Corazon Salvaje. We pan out to see the ship on the water - FIN.

Ok here we are in the final stretch of this inconsistent roller coaster called Corazon Salvaje. I would like to thank all the recapers and commenter s who dedicated the time to this master piece. At the triple's weeding party Noel feels a stab in his heart. Mari asks him what is wrong. Noel says I don't know I just feel a pain in my heart. Mari says maybe it was because you were dancing. Yes, Mari it seems that probably you've never dance. When you dance your feet or your back hurts not your hart.

At the catacombs Juan finally breaks lose. The roof starts to collapse. Juan takes the shackles off his hands and feet and leaves.

Arca once more escapes. Arca flights on Ren's horse. Ren ask. Reggie is asking him to conserve his strength, but Ren knows this is the end and he's not afraid. Reggie wants to help him get up. Good luck there Reggie. I don't think you can even lift one of his arms. He tells he only has the strength to talk to her. He says how cruel and unjust he was to annul their marriage. s Reggie for her forgiveness for all the stupid things he did that hurt her. Ren tells he doesn't know for sure Juan is dead because he didn't see him drown. He said Juan might be alive. If Juan is alive please be happy with him. Reggie asks Ren to conserve his strength, but I think he is a goner.

Juan is running with no shoes. He goes in the river to cross it; he falls

Arca is at Leo's. Leo asks him why is he there? she is afraid Ren might come in at any moment and see him. Araca says don't worry he won't be coming. Arca tells her they have to get the hell out of doge because the Sheriff has the finca under surveillance. Leo says it might be Breton. He's onto us. They decide tonight is the night. Arca leaves and Leo goes to pack.

Juan has crossed the river and continues running.

Reggie is still crying and asking Ren to help her help him. I thought he was a goner.But he is not. He opens his eyes and tells Reggie he'll love her for eternity. Now I think he's gone. Nope, no yet. Reggie continues with her crying fest.Ren says he's getting cold. Reggie covers him with her head piece. Ren wishes he can go back in time, they would've been happy. Reggie tells him not to think anymore in what ifs. Ren tells her how grateful he is she loved him once again he asks for her forgiveness. Reggie is telling him he's going to get better. At that moment we hear Juan calling Reggie. He runs to her asks her what happened. Reggie informs him Arca attach Ren and he's dying. Juan tries to help him up, but Ren says don't bother, I'm dying. Juan says don't say that. Ren says I'm happy you are here because I want to ask for your forgiveness also. Juan not you forgive me for causing you so much pain. Ren says I'm about to die and I hope you are OK with Reggie having me in her arms. Juan says you are not going to die. Ren says I always dreamed to be in your arms Reggie, but I never thought it was going to be in this circumstances. Ren says to Juan Reggie is yours all yours. Juan says this is not what I wanted it was not a matter of winning or losing. Juan tries again to help Ren. But Ren refuses saying his life is slipping away and he wants to die there with them two. Ren says he know he was a fool by trying to separate them. Again he asks for Reggie's forgiveness. At last he recognizes Juan is his cousin. Ren gives them his blessing and asks them to promise him they are going to be happy. He asks god to take his soul. Ok enough die already! I think he did because his head went limp.

Arca is a Rod's digs telling him that Leo wants to move their departure closer. Arca asks Rod for his payment. I'll love to see Rod's face when he realizes hi money is gone. Anyways Rod tells Arca OK I'll pay you but first things first. We have to get rid of the bastard. I'll also love to see his face when he realizes the bastard is gone. It seem Rod is losing everything. Rod tells Arca to go ahead because he doesn't want to be seen with Arca in town. Arca says fine but remember Leo can arrive there at any moment. Rod to himself "aah Leo what a big surprise I have in store for you.

Back to Juan, Reggie, and Ren. Juan and Reggie are trying to wake him. Reggie is crying. Gawd that woman can cry. Juan tells her to settle down because Ren is dead. Juan is asking Ren for forgiveness and blaming himself of Ren's downfall. More crying.

Uh oh, Arca is at he catacombs calling out Juan's name. He is very surprised to see Juan is not longer captive. He then says he couldn't care less. He's going to get ready to leave. Rod walks in and when he realizes Juan is not there. He pulls his gun out and asks Arca where is Juan. He thinks Arca betrayed him. Arca says I don't know things where this way when I got here. But, I can't understand how he broke the beam. Rod says now I won't be able to punish el maldito bastardo. Arca asks for his money. Rod says I didn't bring it. I'll bring ti later. Arca says remember Leo would be here at any moment. Rod is very pensive.

Doctor Pablo arrives at the scene of the crime. Reggie is asking Pablo to look at Ren and tell them that Ren is fine. Pablo tells them he's dead. As if we didn't know that already. Reggie says, my godfather needs to know this. Juan says I'll tell him. Pablo tells Juan to stay with Reggie and Pablo goes to tell Noel.

Reggie asks Juan what happened to him Juan says don't worry about me. How are you and the baby. Reggie says she is fine. Then she starts to talk to Ren's corpse.

BAck at the party, the three couple are dancing and everyone is happy. Not for long though. Jacinta is dancing with Colibri, Pedro, Eusebio, a lot of vivan los novios and applause ensue. Pablo arrives with the bad news. He tells Noel and they leave without telling anybody.

Rod is back home. Man, that man is really fast. He goes from one place to another at the speed of light. He's thinking to himself how expensive Arca's help would be. But the price would be worth. I want to fulfill my vengeance on Leo for the mistreatment she gave MRD for all those years. Rod is walking towards the safe. He's about to find out he's penniless. He opens the safe and finds nothing. He calls the servant and asks him who came to the house and enter his bedroom. She tells him la senora Leonarda.

Leo is arriving at the catacombs with the bag full of money. She can't hardly lift it. Arca comes in asks her if she needs his help. She says no. Arca says at this stage of the game you still don't trust me? He wants to put the money in a secure place. Arca wants her to go in the room where MDR and then Juan were. Leo says she doesn't want to because she is afraid of that place. Arca puts her in the room and then leaves and closes the door. He tells her if someone ever comes here just tell them I kidnapped you. She begs him to let her out, but he takes off probably with the bag of money.

The party is still on. Phillipe is dancing with one of the entertainers. I guess is supposed to be funny, his wig falls off and every time he tries to pick it up the dancer steps on it. big deal.

Arca is giving himslef pats on the back. He is a genious. He opesn the with the loo. He's ready to leave, but before he's going to leave a note for someone to punish the MDO. He puts the bag on the loo in a coffre and leaves.

Noel arrives at the scene where Ren is. Juan and Reggie are still crying. Poor Noel, he is crying and telling his son that his departure leaves him in the deepest abyss. There's nothing left for a parent when a child dies. There's nothing more for me to fight for, there's no future for me anymore. He's asking Ren why he abandon him why? a lot of porques... I wan to die to be always with you. Juan and Reggie are trying to comfort him. He wants to die with his son. Juan and Reggie tell him how much they need him. Noel thinks he was a failure as a father because he couln't change Ren's mind. More perdonames...

Mari is looking for Neol. Her mother is telling her to calm down maybe Noel went to take a leak. Mari says no he wouldn't da that without telling. Of course they didn't say that. They say probably something came up and he had to leave. Mari says if that was the case he would've not leave without telling me. Don Alberto says your mother is right, you'll see he'll be back in no time. Mari says you are right. I won't spoil on of the best days of my life. then she goes to interrupt the newlyweds that for a change are kissing, to tell wish them a lot of happiness and give them her blessing. Now that I think of it their weeding anniversary an the anniversary of Ren's dead are going to be the same.

Noel is at home commiserating and saying that Ren was his only reason fro living. Rod walks in and gives Noel his condolences. Rod put his hand on Noels shoulder but Noel pulls away. Ros tells Noel how sorry he is about Ren's demise. Rod tells Noel he understand perfectly because they both have lose a child and this is not time to harboring rancor. Rod wants to give Noel a hug. Noel tells Rod, you are right this is no the time to harbor rancor, but is not the time for hypocrisies either. Rod says I know you are hurt I won't take your words to hart. Rod is leaving but before he does, he turn around and ask Noel where Leo is. Noel says Leo, Leo I hope god forgives her. I don't know. Only god know where she is. The only thing I know is that she should be here accompanying her only child in his dead bed.

Arca is at the finca leaving that letter he wrote on top of one of the covered furniture. He just hopes Rod comes back soon because he has to leave soon before is found out that he killed el senorito Renato.

Rod is still talking about how estrange Leo's absence is in this terrible situation. She should be here, we all know how much she loved her son, unless... Then Rod feing he had a second thought and says no I don't think Leo would have that much fear to leave like that. Noel asks fear, fear of what? Explain yourself. Rod says well as you know Arca is back and you know how unconditional he was to her. Maybe Leo she escaped with him. Noel asks and why would she do that. Rod says because Captain Breton suspects Leo killed Brigitte. Noel says Leo an assassin? I don't want to believe it but evidences condemn her. Yes it might be possible Clem told me that terrible secret. Leo poisoned Constanza, Reggie and Aimee's mother, your wife Rod, your wife. Rod is very surprised at the news

Juan and Reggie are back home, hugging and crying. Reggie says she's going to change her clothes to go and be with Noel, because he needs her now. Juan says alright you do that. He says I'll go with you, but I don't want to cause any trouble, your aunt Leo might get upset with my presence. Reggie says you are right. you better go and meet Pedro and co. Today was the weeding of all our friends and the best wedding present is going to be seeing you alive. He says OK they I have to take a bath and change my clothes because I can't just make my appearance looking like this. Any volunteer to scrub his back? I'll take one for the team and it. Reggie tells him how happy she is because he is back, even under the circumstances, I'm very happy. Her lips are saying something but her face is saying something else. She tells him how much she loves him and thanks God for bringing him back. They hug again. Just a thought, since they both have to take a bath why don't they do it together to save some time, I'll do it in a heart beat. Heck they have until Monday night because the episode ended.

A little disappointed, they are going to jam pack the demise of all the bad cats and the happily ever after in one episode. They had 135 episodes to do that and they decided to do it in the last 40 minutes. One last thing... Where the hell is De Marin?

On this, my last night to recap CS, did I get an exciting episode filled with madness and mayhem? Death and destruction? No. I got about 5 minutes of good action and the rest is flashbacks and filler. But for all my readers in Viewerville I will do my best to make this enjoyable.

Juan is chained to the ceiling and Rod is teasing him with the whip. Beat me Big Daddy! Come on! Too bad he just can’t get behind Rod and get him in a sleeper hold. He’s tall enough to do it. Me, I’d have to stand on a chair and that would kind of ruin the surprise. Rod leaves and locks him in his cell. He keeps trying to get loose.

Over at De Marin’s, JimAngela is so happy to think that she will be married to Gabe by tomorrow. They talk about everybody being happy. She’s sad when she thinks about Juan Mari reminds her that Gabe is suffering also.

Gabe is on the beach practicing his sword fighting and freaking out his horse. He stabs the sand. Tomorrow he gets married but his friend/father figure/boss is not at his side. He looks determined and pissed off.

Santos is on the beach looking out to sea. He looks very sad also. Jacinta sees him and tells him not to be sad because they are about to marry. He says yes but he is sad because Juan won’t be with them. He is always with us. His heart is always with us. Santos cries.

Juan is doing pull-ups in his cell. No wait, he’s trying to escape. My mistake. Somebody bellows his name. It’s Rod. He’s just checking to see if Juan’s accommodations are to his liking. No, that’s not it. He’s going to enjoy Juan’s suffering. You don’t know how much. Juan calls him a coward. Rod gets all warmed up. He uses that whip like a girlie-man. I’m so afraid. Gabriella from FELS makes Rod look like a girl scout.

Regina is sitting up in bed looking pretty in pink. She remembers back to when they were forced to get married. She remembers the wedding day. Flashbacks from the ship. She realizes that she has loved him all this time. She kisses her ring remembering her first kiss with Juan and all her other kisses after that. She says you can’t be dead. You can’t abandon me.

Back at the Finca Rod is finished with his flogging. Juan insults Rod and Rod insults his father. Juan gets all lathered up and says don’t insult my dad. Juan says you never accepted that my mom could love someone besides you. That I am their son. Rod hits him. That rat in the bucket disturbs me. Your daughter is expecting my child. Rod smacks him again. It will be a bastard. Regina will never return to you. Still the rat. Ewww!

It’s a dark and stormy night. Arcadio is still pacing at the finca. Where is that woman? Leo shows up and said she had to get the jewels. Arcadio tells her everything is ready for tomorrow. He escorts her to the dungeon.

Juan is still trying to get loose. He’s trying to pull the beam down to get his hands free. Good idea. He thinks of Regina and works harder to get himself free. He has flashbacks of Regina. The night she told him he could sleep with her. Their first night of passion. He thinks that she has to know that he is still alive.

Over at the doctors, Pablo doesn’t think it is wise for Regina to go to the weddings. She begs to go to the religious ceremony. She wants to be there since Juan can’t. She has faith that he will return. She says they should all be happy because that is what Juan would want.

Over at Renato’s he’s talking to himself. I can’t look at Regina because Juan is not back. I’m not convinced that Juan is dead. He flashes back to the sword fight on Penon del Diablo. Regina’s son will be a bastard.

Down in the dungeon Rod is trying to convince Juan that he loved MdR with all his heart. You don’t know love. I continue loving her. If you love my mother as much as you say then why are you such a pain in everyone’s ass? When your mother decided on another it changed my whole life. It made me what I am. For the first time I’m speaking the truth. Really? I love her more than my own life.

The next day everyone is gathering for the big event. Did I see Fully? Noel is going on about the ceremony and how great it was. Mari agrees. Colibri announces the novios are coming! The three couples appear in boats. Everyone looks so awesome. Pedro gives a toast to all the couples but especially to Juan who he knows is with them on this special day. Let’s start the music. There is a huge cheer for that. Music and dancing begins.

Over at Renato’s he drunk again. Leo comes home and blasts him for always being drunk. She makes him take a look at himself in the mirror. He sure looks like hell. But he did come back from the dead so maybe she should cut him some slack. If’s he’s going to redeem himself he better get a move-on. Only two more episodes to go. He starts to take a drink but pauses. Dramatic music plays in the background. He must have heard me. He turns and looks in the mirror again. He throws his drink at it. Do you know how many dumpster diving trips it would take me to find a mirror that awesome? Geez!

Back to the party. Snore FF>> Noel is singing FF>> for real. Everybody is laughing at him. Oh the horror! Make it stop! FF>>x2

Renato comes down fresh as a daisy. I hear the Rocky theme song playing in my head. He looks at himself in the mirror that he ruined and thinks that she will see him as the Renato he was before.

Back at the fiesta Eusabio and Pedro are acting like the 3 stooges minus one. Noel gets asked to dance. I’m not even going to comment on that. More FF>>

Back to Rod and Juan in the dungeon. (Thank Gawd!) I think Rod’s losing his mind. He just keeps talking but not really to Juan. He keeps talking about how beautiful MdR was and how rotten Juan’s father was. Yeah, yeah, we’ve heard it all before. Juan tries to get through to him. To tell Regina that he is still alive. She’s very fragile. She might lose our child. Oh yeah, I’m sure that’s going to happen. I think Rod is about one brick shy of a load at this point.

Back to the party. Man, I’m getting whiplash. Each new husband tells their new wife how much they love them. Each bride looks beautiful and each groom looks handsome. Except maybe for Santos who looks better but the jury is still out on that one. Smoochies all around.

Over at Pablo’s Regina is still trying to convice him that she feels great and wants to go to the party. He wants her to get back in bed and rest. Party pooper. The doc leaves. Regina says screw this, and gets out of bed and covers her head with a shawl. Because for sure nobody will recognize her.

Renato is riding his horse through the countryside.

Arcadio is pacing and thinking that he needs a bottle of something.

Pablo comes back to check on Regina and sees that the bird has flown the coop. What did you expect anyway? She left. She must have gone to the wedding party. Really? You don’t say? Duh!

Arcadio is doing what he does best--lurking. He sees Regina walk by. He sneaks up behind Regina and grabs her. Bastard! He throws her to the ground and yells at her about what a bad woman she is. He straddles her and holds her on the ground. He smacks her. Where did that come from?

Juan is still trying to have a rational conversation with Rod. He’s still trying to convince Rod that he needs to see Regina. He calls the finca the house of death. Rod pulls out a gun. He’s not going to be happy until Juan is dead.

Back to Arcadio who is trying to rape Regina. Where’s Renato?

Rod is still taunting Juan in the dungeon. He’s pondering if he should shoot him or leave him in is own hell.

Finally the Lone Ranger shows up and pops Arcadio a good one. Regina is a mess. Renato tells him to fight like a man. Arcadio pulls out a knife. Renato manages to get it away from him. He goes to Regina. Don’t turn your back, don’t turn your back! Arcadio has another knife, and who wouldn’t? I always carry a spare in my pantyhose. Arcadio grabs Renato and stabs him a couple of times. He’s down. End. See what I mean?

Episode #132

On the quay, Noel sits alone, endless blue sea and sky behind him, grieving over his son lost off Devil's Rock. He clutches a remnant of Renato's clothing to his heart and remembers the sweet moments he shared of his son's life: as a boy, as a man. "My son...Renato, Renato..." Noel repeats.

Lulu packs her valise at Raúl's, counting it a shame she's leaving things up in the air with Remigio, when Angela rushes in breathless with the news of Juan and Renato's loss at sea. Lulu realizes she can't abandon Remigio, and Angela hopefully wonders if perhaps Lulu will miss her boat?

Leonarda accosts Noel on the quay, crying "No!" He offers her the clothing, explaining it's all they found of their son. She grasps it like a life line, shaking it and declaring that Renato cannot be dead! Suddenly Leonarda looks up at Noel and accuses him of Renato's death, smacking him across the face.

She beats on his chest and screams that he's a murderer; and Noel can only catch her flailing arms, exclaiming "For God's sake!" Leonarda presses the clothing to her face and whimpers that he killed his own son, while Noel looks distant and miserable. A bell tolls, and Noel looks heavenward, speaking his son's name.

Remigio sits on the rocks at the beach, contemplating the loss of his "brother" Juan when suddenly Lulu appears. Rising, he speaks her name and gulps before mentioning he thought she'd already gone. But no; and she says if Remigio asks, she'll remain. She'll stay with him forever, Lulu says.

When he wonders if it could be true, Lulu pulls out her passage ticket and while Remigio watches tears it into small pieces. Lulu opens her hand to let the sea breeze flutter the pieces away, and Remigio clasps it, murmuring "My love." He places a tender kiss on her lips and nuzzling her face wishes she'd stay with him forever.

Gabriel and the boyz visit Regina, recuperating at Dr. Pablo's, where they give her the tragic news. Regina erupts into tearful denial, quoting María del Rosario and the sea's returning power and assuring them her heart knows Juan is alive. Juan is not dead! she insists. But the boyz remain doubtful.

At Fulgencio's, he pays the dressmaker her due; but when he mentions he's grateful despite the fact his wife and her lover escaped, she nevertheless guesses privately that Fulgencio has murdered them both -- and Servando, too. Canny Fulgencio retrieves the coin purse and advises her to keep quiet about any doubts.

He has nothing against her, but she could suffer a terrible accident, Fulgencio warns. The dressmaker shivers imagining it and assures him she doesn't care and with that money he'll never see her again. He returns the purse, she exits and Fulgencio brandishes his cane sword, contemplating the blade.

Captain Breton visits Phillip at the notary office about the coast guard efforts to recover Juan and Renato at Devil's Rock; but Phillip has important news, too: he reports having seen Arcadio back in town being chased by Juan. Breton wants badly to find Arcadio, he says, who knows the whole truth about the Montes de Oca.

Meanwhile at the finca, Arcadio smokes up Renato's cigars and quaffs his cognac, pacing and convincing himself he is going to wind up with everything. At the beach shack, Dr. Pablo has given Jacinta a tranquilizer, and she sleeps while Santos curses Arcadio and tearfully blesses the doctor for saving her from rape in time.

Pablo insists someone must denounce Arcadio so that he be locked up. By now Breton and his troops have reached the finca, and they enter the catacombs, which are dangerously dilapidated. They decide to search upstairs instead; but the noise of falling timbers tipped Arcadio off, and he has escaped when they arrive.

Noel visits Regina at Dr. Pablo's to commiserate over the tragedy; but Regina repeats that Juan is not dead -- neither Juan nor Renato, she says. Noel fiercely encourages Regina to retain her own hope and own faith; but they only found a piece of Renato's clothing -- so for himself, he can't manage it.

Alone in her bedroom, Leonarda clutches Renato's clothing to her heart and agonizes that he's dead; nothing keeps her there, she says. She has her jewels and plans to leave with Arcadio; but first, Leonarda swears bitterly, she's going to even the score with Rodrigo.

Mariela joins Noel at Dr. Pablo's to embrace Regina and express her sympathy. She's there for both of them and understands their sorrow, she says. Mariela suggests that Regina should rest; and before they exit, Noel reminds Regina that she can always count on him, even as she would a father.

That evening everyone gathers at the church, with Regina kneeling at the altar, when Leonarda bursts in and bitterly accuses Regina of sharing in murdering Renato. She doesn't know what weapons Regina mustered to make her son lose his reason, Leonarda begins furiously; she just prays to God that Regina loses her child, too!

With the astounded crowd collectively on its feet, Regina objects, horrified. Noel censures Leonarda for blasphemy and points out roughly that her hatred has brought her nothing but loneliness! When Leonarda tells him to shut up, he demands she explain where would be Rodrigo, her greatest and unconditional ally! Where!

Everyone is riveted on the violent exchange when suddenly a shadow appears in the aisle; then a pair of bare feet. Regina looks as though she has seen a ghost as Noel turns and does, too. Soon everyone's mouths have dropped open as an exhausted figure shuffles inexorably forward. And it's Renato.

When Regina rushes to him and pleads to know where Juan is, he announces loudly that Juan is dead! Regina screams and faints in his arms, dropping to the floor. Juan's friends are frozen in shock. And at that moment out on the beach a fleeing Arcadio has come across a prostrate body that he calls "the bastard."

Before Dr. Pablo carries Regina away, Remigio demands Renato leave her alone, ruefully pronouncing that he used to believe in Renato's goodness and honor and once would have given his life for him. But now may God forgive Renato for the harm he's done to Juan and Regina! Remigio shouts.

Leonarda blubbers endlessly into her son's shoulder and hyperventilates her relief at his safe return while long-suffering Noel must stand back and wait, finally begging for a chance to embrace his son. Renato and Noel joyfully embrace, and Noel expresses gratitude and relief to God and their friends at his son's safe return.

Outside in the plaza all the engaged couples wonder if they should postpone their weddings, but Pedro angrily insists that as sad as Juan's death is, he is with his parents. They should all continue on and think about Juan's baby and Regina, whether she can even make it through this shock.

Later in the notary office, Regina expresses her thoughts in a letter to Juan. Resignedly she realizes everyone thinks he's dead; but her heart says he's alive, that soon he'll return to her. She's writing to tell him how much she loves him and that he's made her the happiest woman in the world, especially now she's having his child.

She wants him to know so there will be no doubt that she never asked for the annulment; that she never stopped loving him. She belongs to him and always will, and she prays that the sea will return him to her so she can go on loving him and being happy -- the three of them, forever.

Arcadio has brought Rodrigo to the catacombs, and Rodrigo is just enthusing over Juan lying dead at the bottom of the sea, when Arcadio points out that's just the reason he's brought him here. Rodrigo doesn't like visiting María del Rosario's old cell again, until he sees who Arcadio has swinging from the rafters.

It's an unconscious Juan. Arcadio explains how he found Juan and that he brought him here so Rodrigo could do as he likes with him. For Rodrigo, it's the best surprise he's had in years, he says. And in his bedroom in town, Renato dreams fitfully that in spite of everything, Juan tried to save his life.

There's a knock at the door, and Leonarda enters to express once again how happy she is he's alive. Renato's the most valuable thing she has, she says; the only thing that makes her happy. She begs him to consider again going far away from there, but Renato can still only think of Regina.

He can't live without her and must have her, he says. He needs her like the air he breathes; without her nothing makes any sense. Leonarda seems to understand, finally relents and agrees if that's his decision, she will respect it and exits.

Back at the catacombs, Rodrigo uses the time while Juan is unconscious to finalize his plans. He heads for the crumbling, dilapidated ruins that nearly fell in on Captain Breton earlier while searching for Arcadio; and the ruins will serve his vengeance plans perfectly, he says.

While Rodrigo is away, Leonarda visits the townhouse on pretense of bringing him a gift. She ingratiates herself with the servant and slips upstairs. Remembering her ire at Rodrigo's unfaithfulness and the death of Brigitte, Leonarda cracks his bedroom safe and empties it of treasure, which she carries off without being seen.

At the finca, Arcadio paces and is so sick of that place! he says. But soon he's going to be rich; immensely rich, he consoles himself. He has to be careful; those two rats, Leonarda and Rodrigo, might betray him any moment. But first, he picks up a pen and paper; after this letter is read, Rodrigo will be locked away forever, he says.

Next morning, Rodrigo splashes a bucket of water on Juan to awaken him. He hopes he's comfortable in his new home, Rodrigo sneers menacingly. When Juan asks why he's been brought there and how Renato is, Rodrigo jeers that Renato wouldn't be the least bit interested in him, so why bother.

What should interest Juan is that he's in the exact same jail cell as his mother all those years, Rodrigo adds. What a small world, eh? So many coincidences life brings. Destiny always works out and so Juan is now in Rodrigo's hands, at his mercy! he says. Nobody will stop him wreaking vengeance for all the humiliation Juan caused!

When Juan points out Rodrigo's such a coward he wouldn't dare try it without Juan chained up, Rodrigo gives him a smack and grabs him by the hair. Juan's going to be begging him on bended knee! he grits out. Never! Juan vows. Well, they'll just see, Rodrigo says, turning to pick up a cat o' nine tails.

I bid you all a fond farewell, on this, the occasion of my last Corazon Salvaje recap. It's been a fun ride and I'm so glad I stuck it out despite the time change. Thank you all for hanging in there too. And now let us throw our hands up and shriek with delight as this crazy roller coaster finally (I hope!) coasts down the last long slope.

There is no cliffhanger here as both dumbass boys go over the edge and into the water. Frickin' everybody in the boat loses it.

Jime and Mariela are out walking around when they sense a disturbance in the force. They overhear that Juan and Renato were dueling on Peñon del Diablo. One of the guys gossiping says he's sure one of the two is going to die! Mariela is concerned about Noel and Jimangela says they out to get back to Raul's house.

Reggie is still asleep at Doc Miranda's. Clemencia worries about Juan, Renato, and the baby. Doc Miranda says some men have blood in their destiny, and he's afraid Juan is one of them. Clem strokes Reggie's hair and cries.

Back at the finca, Arcadio is still drinking. He says soon this will all be his, but in the meantime, he needs a woman. He goes off to find one.

Rodrigo sees Brigitte's glove in the drawer where the maid put it. The maid knocks and announces that Leo is there to see him. He leaves the glove and goes downstairs. They both make small talk while they smile a little too widely at each other. Leo hopes no one finds anything to point to them as murderers. Rod says her secret is safe with him and he'd never betray her. He knows he can trust her too. Blah, blah, blah. Leo thought bubbles that Rod's goin' down! They toast as Leo smiles and Rod looks at her suspiciously.

The guys in the boats keep shouting for Renato and Juan, but they can't see them. Noel begs them to keep looking. Pedro isn't worried--Juan's a good swimmer. Santos isn't optimistic about Renato's chances. They yell back to Noel that they'll keep looking and refuse Noel's offer of payment. Um, guys, you're pretty far out and the dumbass twins went in a lot closer to the rocks. Just saying.

Regina wakes up with a scream, freaking out about Juan. Clemencia begs her to calm down.

You motherfucking son of a bitch, don’t you dare! Sorry, I'm watching Arcadio checking out Jacinta as she stares out to see. He grabs at her as she screams at him to let her go. She tries to run, but stumbles and falls. She keeps screaming for help and Arcadio knocks her out and starts ripping her clothes off.

The search continues. Colibri is seriously traumatized. Noel looks like he's going to pass out.

Doc Miranda comes running down the beach and pulls a gun on Arcadio. Jacinta doesn't realize it's Doc Miranda asking if she's ok and screams as she comes to. Arcadio runs off and Doc says he got there in time and Arcadio won't hurt her. She tells him everybody went out looking for Juan and Renato.

The search continues. They agree to go back to port and search there. Pedro tells Eusebio about the reef and says they've got to search carefully.

Arcadio sees a little rowboat on another part of the beach. He curses the doctor for interrupting his fun. I'm just sorry he didn't get shot. He steals the rowboat to sail directly to the finca.

At the port, Noel asks for volunteers and offers to pay any price for help finding Juan and his son. The fishermen say he doesn't have to pay. It's time for them to pay him back for everything he's done for them in the past. They start searching.

Leonarda gets the bad news from Celia and cries. She refuses to believe that Renato could be dead and forbids Celia from saying that he might be. She goes running out of the house saying he must be alive.

Regina wakes up properly and asks Clemencia for news. Clem says she had an infection, the baby's fine, and Juan…well, he's probably going to be there soon. Reggie knows Clemencia is hiding something from her and demands to know what it is. Reggie remembers about the duel. Clem says they did duel, but they both fell in the sea and no one knows where they are. Reggie gets hysterical and insists they have to be out there somewhere.

Raul confirms that the news about the duel is accurate. The boys are still missing. Mariela is still worried about Noel. She insists on going to see him, but her father doesn't want her seeing a married man. Her mother joins in on her husband's objections. She's worried about the rumors. Mariela is angry that they seem to have forgotten everything Noel has done for the family and they're asking her to abandon Noel now. She pleads with her father to understand how Noel must feel, with his child missing. She insists that she can't fail Noel now. Jimangela tells him that she knows he's more concerned with what's real, then with appearances. She offers to go with Mariela, as does Grandma. Grandpa says they're all going to go and support Noel. Raul begs off and says he has personal business to attend to.

One last rallying cry and the fishermen go to start searching. Mariela comes up and hugs Noel. He says his son is lost at sea and maybe dead. Mariela tells him to have faith. He thanks her. Grandpa, Grandma, and Jimangela all express their solidarity. Noel is grateful to all of them. He asks them to pray that they find both boys alive. Mariela gives him a blessing and he takes off with the fishermen. Leo comes up crying that she wants her son back alive. "Quit flirting and go find him!" In the middle of all this serious shit that's going down, Noel has to tell her that he and Mariela are just friends. Priorities, people, priorities.

Rod gets the news from his maids. He figures Leo must be freaking out. He thought bubbles that Leo is paying for what she did to MdR and he's glad she's suffering.

Leo says "you must be happy about this." Mariela defends Noel, so Leo calls her Noel's "lover." He defends Mariela and tells her not to say Renato is dead. Now Leo accuses him of denying reality and blames him for Renato's death. This is his fault for bringing Juan around. Noel says it's her fault for pushing Juan away and feeding Renato's hate. Noel takes his leave of the family, ignoring Leo. He comes back again and tells Leo he's got to go keep searching. Leo wants to go with him, but Noel tells her to stay or she'll slow down the search. Noel leaves and Leo gives Mariela et al, a dirty look.

Pedro shows Noel a map and explains about the tricky currents. He proposes that maybe the guys washed into a cave. But if they didn't, they're dead, Jim. Pedro tells Noel where to search. They're going to take 2 teams to follow each of the major currents.

Leo goes to scream at the Virgen for punishing her. She says "you can't take my son from me! You're a mother too! You can't take my son!" The priest comes out and gripes her out for yelling at the Virgen that way. He tells her to have faith and to search her own soul before screaming at the Virgen. Leo is miraculously not struck by lightning when she says she has nothing to feel guilty for and has always been a good Christian, so she can't understand why she's being punished like this. "God has abandoned me! Everyone has abandoned me!" The priest looks at the Virgen and asks forgiveness for Leo.

One of the fishermen finds Renato's vest in the water. Pedro wonders if he was smashed on the rocks. He's convinced Renato is dead.

Another guy reports to Noel that there's no sign of either of the boys. Noel won't give up. He tells the guy to go get Captain Breton and demand the coast guard ship get involved in the search. Colibri's afraid they got caught in the current and drowned. Noel pulls himself together and tells Colibri not to lose faith. He makes Colibri promise. Colibri calls him "Captain" and promises.

Pedro brings the vest back to Noel. Noel still won't accept that Renato is dead. He tells Pedro and Santos his idea about Captain Breton. Colibri asks Pedro and Santos to tell him that the Captain isn't dead. Santos thinks they need to resign themselves to Juan and Renato being dead. Noel refuses. Santos tells them to let the coast guard take over the search. But first he wants them to have a moment of silence for Juan and Renato.

Noel stands on the dock holding Renato's vest and crying.

Regina prays to the Virgen to take care of Juan and Renato, despite all the harm Renato has done. Clemencia comes in with some soup and tells Regina to lie back down. She reminds her that she's eating for two to convince Reggie to eat something. Reggie doesn't know how to be calm if she's lost the love of her life. How can she find peace if Juan is dead.

Well, I feel cheated. Hopefully tomorrow will be more fulfilling.

Review of conversation between Regina and Renato, then Regina saying you are like your mother and my father, egotistical, will do anything to get what you want. The things I used to love about you are gone, there is nothing tying us together anymore, we are different now. Give it up already Renato!

Juan is talking to Remigio who says they were right, Lulu is gone, he tried to get her to stay but it's too late. He starts to tell Juan not to make the same mistake, but Juan is still on fire angry and won't listen. Then he tells Remi he saw Arcadio. He tried to catch him to confront him but he got away. He says Arca is going to pay for what he did to his mother.

Mariela asks Lulu if she is really sure about leaving. Lulu says she is, she has to go, but she wants permission to say goodbye to a friend. Mari says of course.

Don Alberto is at the notario office confronting Noel about his love poem to Mariela. He says Noel is a married man and he doesn't want Mariela to suffer anymore. He demands that Noel leave her alone. Noel says excuse my behavior, you have every right to be saying this, I would do the same as a father and I promise I will leave Mariela alone. After Don Alberto leaves, Noel says to himself that once again he won't be loved, he is destined to seek but not find love.

Lulu is saying goodbye to Felipe. He is heartbroken and sobbing, he will miss her so much. First Madame Marlene left, then Brigitte was killed, now Lulu is leaving, Mon Dieu, c'est trop! Lulu tells him he has a good job with Noel who is a good man. Then Felipe opens the folder he has with said notario's documents which start flying all over in comic relief. Lulu helps him recover them.

Mariela and Jim/Angela are strolling along by the water. They see Noel coming towards them and Mari asks Jim/Ange if she looks okay. Noel says good day, it's a beautiful afternoon. He is awkward and leaves quickly telling them it was good to see them. They look at each other puzzled as he hurries away.

Fulgencio is taking his constitution and a number of fellow dons come up and tell him how sorry they are for him. He says to himself they all have compassion for me and see me as the victim, there is no way they will suspect me. He ambivalently pats himself on the back for being so clever.

Regina is at the notario's office showing him the false annulment and telling Noel how Renato must have done this. Noel is shocked, no puede ser! He couldn't have done this without your permission, you would have had to sign with the priest and I think he said something about a lawyer. Regi says she never signed anything. Noel says he will find out if it is forged and compare it to some other documents.

Juan is still being enraged and jealous and telling Gabe what happened, that their marriage is no more. Gabe finds it hard to believe Regina would have had anything to do with that. He tries to talk some sense into Juan who won't listen. He says if Regi would be happier with Renato then he'll let her go. Gabe says maybe you can be happy with someone else, too, Juan says no way! I had fun with Aimee, but I love Regina with all my soul. Gabe tells him he is obsessed and that he shouldn't do something unjust because of jealousy.

Back to Noel and Regi. He shows her that the writing doesn't match, for sure it was Aimee. Regi is distressed and dismayed, of course, Aimee, she says, their writing is similar. Regi clutches her stomach and looks faint. Noel asks her if she is okay, if she is ill. She tells him no, not to worry, she is expecting Juan's child. Noel is very happy for her.

Regi is with Renato furious at him for what he did. She says she knows it was Aimee who forged her signature. Renato says I know she did because I made her do it. He tells her he did it only with the intent of love, of getting her back. Regi is at her wit's end with this man. We flash back to Juan and Gabe and Colibri is telling Juan he saw Regina go into the notario's and then to Renato. Juan turns to Gabe and says "See, what did I tell you!" Did Juan tell Colibri to spy on Regi? Juan comes bursting into Renato's study and he and Renato yell at each other, threatening, and agree to a duel to the death at pinon del diablo. Through this Regi is trying to get them to stop. Juan whisks Regina away. After they are gone Renato once again echoes the last samurai and ceremoniously opens his sword case and starts polishing his swords.

Juan and Regi are in the carriage with Juan still looking sullen and angry. Regi looks sick and like she is going to faint, clutching her stomach. Suddenly Juan realizes maybe he should be concerned and asks her what is wrong. She says she hadn't told him but she is expecting his child. Juan smiles that big smile and both look really happy. Regi begs him not to fight Renato but Juan says do you want me to look like a coward, this doesn't go far as Regi passes out. Juan shouts at the driver to take them to the doc's.

Capt. Breton aka the new Aguacil is talking to the soldiers about how the MdO's appear to be upright and honest but they are really evil lying monsters. He says Rod and Leo are starting to accuse each other and that they need to keep the pressure on both of them until one of them cracks.

Rod is in his bedroom thinking about how he knows Leo is going to betray him. The maid knocks and he asks her to put away his clean clothes. As she is putting them in a drawer a pink lady's glove falls onto the floor (I'm presuming Brigitte's). She puts it back with the clothes in the drawer.

Rod goes to the dungeon at the finca to see Arcadio. He says he knows they haven't been the best of buddies but it would behoove them to be allies now. Arcadio agrees. He says he trusts Rodrigo, that he is a man of his word. Rod asks him to keep up the pretense with Leo that he is going to do what she wants. Arcadio will follow Rod's orders. Rod says hey, why did you follow her orders all those years anyway? Arcadio pauses and then says it - because we were lovers. She couldn't find a man to please her, so I was there. Rod is disgusted, he says he never loved Leonarda, just used her, she is a vile woman who doesn't deserve anyone's love. Arca looks a little doubtful at this.

We see Leo sneaking up to the finca saying to herself she knows Rod is going to betray her and she needs to see Arcadio. Leo comes calling into the dungeon and Arca tells Rod to hide. He finally answers Leo who asks him why he took so long. Arcadio tells her they have to lay low, no one should see him because someone would try to kill him. She agrees and talks about that infeliz Rodrigo and the surprise she has for him. Rodrigo listening to this says she is the one who will be surprised, she will cry tears of blood.

Back at the Doc's office Juan brings in the unconscious Regina. Doc Miranda says, you didn't know she was pregnant? I know she was happy about it, I thought she would have told you. Juan is like, no I'm an idiot, I wouldn't listen. She tried to tell me, Clemencia tried to tell me and I wouldn't listen!

Back at the finca, Arcadio is hanging out in the big house and opening a bottle. Uh oh. He toasts to himself in the mirror for being such a genius. He always dreamed he would be master of the finca and master of Leonarda. His sarcasm is stunning. He play-acts being the master of the house, graciously ushering in guests, then says to himself if he can't have that, he will sure as sh**t cause trouble for those two idiots Rod and Leo. (As bad as he is, I love Arcadio's sense of humor).

We see Juan by Regina's bedside through the night, caring for her, not sleeping. I'm wondering how he's going to have the energy to fight. Dawn breaks. He tells Regi if she can hear him to wait for him, to be strong for him and their child. He kisses her hand, then kisses her lips, but unlike sleeping beauty she doesn't wake up. The Doc comes back and Juan tells him he has to go, he has an appointment with destiny. That if everything goes well he will be back, but if not, to please tell Regina he begs her forgiveness, he has been stupid, he loves her and she is the most important thing in his life. He wants her to remember him with happiness. Doc wants to know where he is going. Juan says you'll know soon, don't forget.

We have dramatic clouds, sun, waves, and Juan is at Pinon del Diablo. He is at his mother's grave asking for forgiveness that he is going to fight Renato. He tells her it is not a question of vengeance, but of honor, that Regina is carrying his child. He asks for her blessing wherever she may be.

Renato is riding up on a white horse yelling, Juan del Diablo, are you ready to die?! Juan makes the sign of the cross and approaches Renato on horseback as well. Juan says "At last we're alone, at last we are alone and no one can interfere. The hour has come." They draw swords, swipe at each other then ride off and turn around, sword jousting for awhile. Renato sways in the saddle almost falling and Juan pushes him the rest of the way.

Colibri is with the Doc and Doc wants him to find out where Juan has gone. Just then Regina is raving in her sleep saying Juan and Renato are fighting at Pinon del Diable. Doc tells Coli to run to the fishermen and get them to go stop Juan. As Colibri leaves, Capt. Breton appears wanting to talk about the case against the Montes de Locas. He tells Doc that he suspects Rod and Leo did arrange the accident that killed his uncle but he doesn't have any proof. He wants to know if there were any employees at the finca who might remember anything. Doc says Rosendas's Dad was there, but with him being dead I'm not sure if he's thinking Rosenda will remember something, or Madame?

The Pescadores and Remigio are going to go to Pinon and stop Juan and Renato. Then we're back to the sword fight. Renato says this is a fight to the death, if you have anything to repent you'd better do it now. Juan says no, Ren says me neither. They proceed whacking at each other with double swords now. Ren is down but Juan doesn't kill him - he says you had my marriage annulled didn't you?!! More fighting and Juan is down, he says he will go back alive because Regina is carrying his child. Ren is enraged by this and is about to skewer Juan but he rolls out of the way.

Colibri is at Noel's telling him and Clemencia what has happened. Clem is going to Regi and Noel is going to get another boat and help stop Juan and Ren.

The fight continues with fists now, knocking each other down, wrestling. We see both boats speeding towards the pinon (as much as they can), the fishermen are yelling at Juan, Noel is shouting at Renato. All see that it is a fight to the death and are horrified, continue yelling to try to stop them. In their wrestling Ren has ended up over the cliff holding onto Juan's arm. Juan tries to save him, to pull him up, but Ren doesn't want to be saved and lets go. Juan jumps off after him. The pescadores, Noel and Colibri see this and are aghast, shouting, crying, rapido, they have to save them! End.

Ren once more gives Juan the idiot Reggie's dairy and the annulment papers and tells Juan to read the diary so Juan can understand how much Reggie loved Ren and that's why he can giver up. Ren demands of Juan to leave Reggie in peace. Way to go Ren you've officially become the most hated character in TN history. Juan, believe or not, surprises me and tell Ren I would do ti if I knew you were telling the truth. Ren goes on with his pathetic speech about what can Juan offer Reggie. Why didn't he think that when he forced them to marry? Ren says that Reggie is a lady and Juan would never give her the ladies treatment. Ren says Juan doesn't have education. Ren admits that Reggie now says she is in love with Juan, but sooner or later she is going to grow tired of how unrefined Juan is. New flash for you Ren, people grow tired of each other for different reasons, Didn't you grew tired of Aimee and she was of your class? Ren says Reggie is a delicate flower and deserves a good treatment. Juan surprises me again with his come back. Juan tells Ren you want to give Reggie the same treatment you gave Aimee? You could never win her over. It doesn't matter how refined and what a gentleman you are. You've never been able to win a woman's love, because you know Aimme only loved me. Ren corrects Juan and tells him Aimee didn't love anyone, she only care about the vulgar and obscurity. Juan whatever, but she loved me and she never loved you. Aimee betrayed you. Back at the Marin, weeding plans. Grandma and grandpa have big plans for Jime's weeding. They want a big weeding in puebla. Jime and Gabe have other plans. Reggie is again pacing the room, everyone is standing now ans Regie is again pacing the room. Juan makes his grand entrance. Reggie runs to him and says she was worry sick about him. Now you are going to says our goodbyes and leave. Very shyly Reggie looks at him and doesn't say anything more. Juan thanks them and says him and his beloved wife have to leave. Mother please they are two totally different affects. You know I love and respect you and that is why I won't stop you if you decide to leave. It'll hurt but I'll accept it. But I won't go any place. He kisses her and wishes her a goodnight. Leo says to herself. He prefers Reggie over me> from now on I'll so the same. I'll of me first. Isn't that what you've done all your life? She wants to skip town to avoid prison. She runs again to retrieve the box of jewels. She says Ren was the only thing detaining me her, but nothing will detain me now, nothing.

He gets up to leave, stops at the door, turns around and goes back to the table and starts his torture again. Reggie is also torturing herself asking herself why her husband didn't want to tell her what Ren gave him. She says why doesn't he trust me? He doesn't trust me the same way he used to trust Aimee. Reggie is thinking that Juan is still in love with Aimee. Reggie has a flashback of when she saw Aimee at Juan's cell. That those it, Reggie is 100% sure Juan is still in love with Aimee. Juan is still reading on the dairy all the good and marvelous things Reggis had to say about Ren. Juan slams the dairy again on the table. We hear another maldita sea. He gets up again goes to the and stops again. Reggie is thinking that whatever Ren gave Juan is making him suffer. Reggie is wondering what might have been, what? Juan is back at the table.. He picks up the dairy again. This time he opens it at the page where Reggie is saying that of her love for Ren she is marrying Juan del Diablo and blah, blah blah. This is a very frustrating episode for me. Juan is saying that Reggie married him just to spare Ren from suffering. I thought he knew that. He is saying Reggie knows how truly love and that if he really loves her, he'll set her free so she can be happy with Ren. Reggie is still wondering what was that Ren gave Juan.

It is finally morning. Juan spent the night sitting on the chair. Reggie comes out of the bedroom and asks the obvious, if he spent the night there. He says yes. She say do you want coffee? He says what I want of you is to sit down here. please sit down. She obliges. She asks what is the matter. He finally gives her the document and says I want you to read this. Reggie opens the folder and Juan says at last you got what you wanted. You and I are no longer married. Reggie's eyes look like they are going to come out of their sockets. While the idiot looks at her with a lot of anger. Reggie is very surprised and asks is our marriage has been annulled? This can't be Juan. Did you spent the whole night reading this paper. Juan says not only that. I entertained myself reading a very interesting book. This book that Ren gave last night. Juan shows Reggie the book. Reggie is very surprised and says, my diary? She can't believed it.

Lulu is saying her goodbyes. Is not point ins staying. Remi hasn't come around and he told her that the only way he'll be happy was if he didn't see Lulu for the rest of his life. Mari is very sad and ask Lulu to go with them to puebla. Lulu thanks her and says she is going back to Europe to look her family up. Maybe they'll forgive her and start a new life. Pedro and the big guy can't believe Remi told Lulu to get lost. The big guy, I', drawing a blank, can't remember his name, tells Remi something that is very truth. Mari is at a cross road, she doesn't want do anything against her principles and at the same time doesn't want to give Noel up. A letter is delivered for Mari. Her father receives it and says he'll deliver it to her. Curiosity got the best of him and he opens it. It is a note from Noel professing his love for Mari. The nerve of grandpa. He puts the letter in his jacket pocket and leaves. Probably he is going to confront Noel.

Juan is still in hot pursuit, I don't want to be in Arca's shoes. Juan is upset for what is happening with Reggie and now he found someone to vent his anger with. Darn it seems Arca escaped.

Reggie tells herself to stop feeling sorry for herself. She has to go and find out who did this. She's pretty p'od. she picks up the folder and the dairy and leaves.

Noel is talking with Phillipe. Phillipe says something about Arca. Noel is devastated t the news that Arca is back in town. Someone is at the door. Phillipe opens it. It is don Alberto wanting to speak to Noel of a very delicate matter. Noel tells Phillipe to leave them alone. Alberto questions Noel about the poem he sent Mari. Noel is very impactado.

Leo is walking around town when someone approaches. The new chief of police, you'll have to excuse me tonight but my brain is gone. I worked 18 hours straight, so people's names are all gone. Reggie says yes another bastard in the family just like the child Rosie is expecting that is you son. Rod doesn't like her answer and tells her to shut it. She says oh no I am not going to be quiet because this child I am expecting is going to make strong and I am going to fight for him. I know you've never love me and that when Aimee dies was as if both your daughters have died. I promise you I'll never seek you again. I'll be mother and father for my child. I wish you happiness in your loneliness. Rod wasn't expecting that.

Leo is telling Breton that Rod and Brig were lovers and that maybe Rod was the one who kill her. When Breton asks her point blank Leo says no of course not. I didn't mean that. Then she tells Breton she has things to do and leaves.

Ren is at Reggies house. Clem tells him Reggie is no home and tells him to leave Reggie alone. Clem compares Ren to Rod. Clem tells him that Reggie is not into him any more. Clem tells him he is only thinking about himself and no Reggie. Clem says if he continues down that path Reggie is going to end up hating him. Clem gives him the analogy about a horse. El necio says Reggie love is worth anything. He's going to fight for Reggie even if his life depends on it.

Juan is at Remi's I won't go in details because I just had it with Juan tonight and I think Remi is on the same boat. He's gong on and on how he asked Reggie if she ask for the annulment ans she didn't give him the answer he was looking for. Remi tells Juan how big the love between him and Reggie is and blah blah, then Juan asks him if all you are saying is truth what are you doing here. Remi says say what? Juan says yes what are you doing here why don't you go and look for Lulu and tell her how much you love her.

Breton now runs into Rod. Breton tells him what Leo said about Rod and Brig. Rod tells Bret how Leo always pursed him and that Leo is capable of anything.
