Corazón Salvaje THU 2010-07-01 Discussion thread

Hi, this will just be a discussion thread until the recap gets posted.

So...Regina's getting a wedding ring with a stone...

Mariela looked daggers at Griselda; I think she has a natural antipathy towards her.

Griselda slapped Jimena in front of Mariela when Griselda came looking for her as I vaguely recall.

I find myself muttering "OMG" every time EY appears on the screen. Good thing I'm not watching this with my husband.

Thank you for the post! :)

I can't wait to see the show tonight! I hope EY is on most of it. Can't wait to see Juan kick Renato's ass. I just saw wimbledon's semi's and another hottie Rafael Nadal won! Hope someone has a recap for yesterday's show so I can catch up before tonight's show. Terrylee from Ashtabula

Though not a lot of Juan and Regina, things are progressing. Noel and Gabriel realized that there were gypsies in town when Angela/Jimena was kidnapped. Rod is in deep b/c he belittled Servando (and I think S vowed revenge) and got caught in bed with Bridgette by Leo -- can't wait to see Leo go ballistic.

Remi interrupted the love birds kissing on the deck. With last night's door scene, me thinks Reggie is having very romantic thoughts about Juan. But he is trying to be the gentleman so nothing happens, yet. Hopefully, something will before Ren shows up to destroy everything.

Here's a little list to tie you over until the recap:

Gabriel confirms when asked by Noel that Aimee was involved with Juan -- and she instigated it and kept it going; plus it was Aimee who Juan planned to escape with. Noel's very upset at Aimee's and Juan's behavior.

Juan tells Regina they're not going back to Veracruz, but it's ok with her; she amazes him by her declaration of marital devotion.

The coast guard commander makes an official visit to Renato and when he sees Renato's weapons makes clear he's in command there and will brook no insubordination from him in capturing Juan del Diablo. Renato pays him no mind as soon as he leaves; he has Regina to rescue and Juan to skewer.

On board Luzbel, Juan gets annoyed at Remigio interrupting him and Regina just when things were getting thick between them. Juan and Regina again yearn for each other on opposite sides of the cabin door, with Regina now loving the idea of belonging to Juan.

Federico pays Griselda to come to Fulgencio's and feign a few things at a little party Fulgencio's having, including she's not supposed to know Federico.

Rodrigo strikes and insults Servando for failing to kill Pablo and Rosenda, and afterward Servando vows revenge.

At Fulgencio's small party, the Villareals are not happy to see Griselda; she feigns unrecognition of Federico and retires to meet in private with Fulgencio.

Griselda reads him his tarot cards and feigns they say Servando never spoke of him and that he should trust a "foreigner" (Federico) who would supposedly never betray him.

Fulgencio is seduced by Griselda's art and wants to give her a job in his house reading cards to advise him over his "business" affairs and discover any traitors.

Gabriel notices the Villareal's papers about the disappearance of Angela on Noel's desk, and they touch on the subject of gypsies in regard to Angela; a gypsy circus; and finally Jimena -- in a kind of reminder they will return to.

Since Marlene left, the girlz and Phillip are already losing money so that Brigitte thinks to ask Rodrigo for an investment in the casino.

Leonarda is in a snit about Renato until she remembers Rodrigo promised her to be faithful to her, which seems to cure everything.

Brigitte visits Rodrigo at the townhouse, and they are upstairs in bed together when who should enter but, of course, Leonarda.

We only see them all three looking shocked. We heard the maids tell Leonarda they were leaving for their day off and wouldn't be back until the next day.

When Regina appears on deck in the morning, the boyz tell her Juan's gone off to get her a surprise.

Santos can't help gushing that Regina is the thing Juan loves most of all and that she's getting an engagement ring to go with her wedding band.

This episode was so good. Regina was so ready to take the relationship to the next level. I was screaming at my television, "Go," when Juan was at the door and smiling that awesome smile. Then, he hesitates because of her last name. Talk about taking the wind out of the sails LOL. I was LOLing when Remi kept interrupting our lovebirds. It's so magical no wonder Regina has fallen head over heels for Juan. Renato is inching closer. I wonder will he find Juan before the cable arrives. LMBO Leo walked in on Rod getting his freak on. She thought for sure she would be the one spending all afternoon and all night in Rod's bed. Oh well.

I think Rod's about to lose his little rod... getting caught in bed... I don't think there's any way he can talk his way out of this one. Only question is, will he wrestle naked with Leo when she goes after him? (ewww.. brain bleach please).

I thought Fulgencio said he didn't believe in all that 'superstition stuff'. So he's hiring Grizelda?? QTH??

Juan.... just open the damn door...

Fulgencio said he was a practical man; and I assume practical men will hire whatever gives them an edge.

Like cops hiring psychics to look for bodies and then never admitting it. I don't believe in it either, but if it finds the body, I'd pay.

Dude...Regina's last name is ALDAMA/SAN ROMAN now...go for it!

I loved the interaction on the Luzbel between Juan, Reg and Remi. Really funny.

I am getting tired of Reg's hair coverings - is something wrong with her hair? Can they wrap it on her head a little bit better?

Regina's head scarf brings to mind her monja habit.

Hope she doesn't end up locked in the convent, which is exactly where Rod and Aimee want her to be.

Dear Remigio,

I like you. I really do. But next time you interrupt the love-fest like you did last night, I swear I'm going to reach through the screen and push you overboard.

Love,

Sarah, if switching days would be easier for you let me know.

Jeri: thank you for the summary!

Marie: Regina's head scarf brings to mind her monja habit.
I agree.

Kat: I swear I'm going to reach through the screen and push you overboard.
LOL!

Thanks Jeri. The summary seemed pretty complete to me.

I am just loving Juan and Regina together. The actress playing Regina/Aimee is doing a great job. These two don't even seem like the same person at all.

I wasn't feeling well, so sorry about not posting the recap, I feel terrible :( Connie, yes I think it would be more helpful to do the recap on Friday, if we can switch. Thank you Jeri for the mini recap and for posting up the discussion.

Sarah, you're welcome. :-) I hope you are feeling better and that you can get a day that's going to work out good for you.

I agree with Lynda that Aracely Arambula is doing a great job. Her characterizations of Regina and Aimee are so vastly different that you forget 1 person is playing both roles. When it is awards time, I hope thar Aracely and Eduardo are honored because they have done a great job in this show. There is such chemistry between all the characters (good and bad) unlike in STUD where I think the acting is bad except for Benita. Wish that show had the chemistry between the characters like CS has. To me, STUD is boring, but CS is definitely not. Need more Regina and Juan though because they are the heartbeat of the show.

Sarah, I hope you are feeling better. I will do next Thursday's show then. It's hard to do a recap when you don't feel very well. Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th.
