Corazon Salvaje Ep. 121, 8/9/2010 Anvils Teetering Everywhere

Review: Juan and Regina are happy, kissing, telling each other how much they love each other. Juan is afraid of losing her, and she says don't say that, I am yours always.

Eloisa has prepared a large meal for Fully of his favorite food. Federico is there and Fully doesn't want to eat alone, he wants Eloisa to have some, too. She says she is on a diet, she wants to fit into a new dress. He tries to get her to just take a bite, but she says she can't break her diet. He then tries to get Feddy to eat some, but he says, no I just ate, sorry, not hungry. Eloisa says she made it with her love and Fully should eat. He says he is sorry but he won't eat alone, he is too uncomfortable. Throughout this conversation Fully has a bite on his fork and is teasing them, like he's just going to take a bite.

Mariela is telling Salma she doesn't understand her attitude about going to church. Salma says she is a gypsy, it's not her religion. Mari says I want you to adopt my religion, you are my daughter, so we will go to church tomorrow. Both say strained good nights. We see Salma getting out her gypsy clothes.

Fulgencio and Feddy are alone and Fully wants to toast his bestest, most loyal friend. He tells Fed he is going to put him in charge of all of his business dealings. He is tired of the business and he knows Federico is incapable of betraying him.

We see Salma dressed like a gypsy, she takes some gold or jewelry and sneaks out.

Fully is telling Fed he is like the son he never had. He apologizes for treating him the way he did at the poker game, he says he did it to test his loyalty. Fed says it's okay Dude. Fully then gives him a big hug. I am expecting a knife to come out at any minute.

Rodrigo stumbles into his house looking very distraught. The maids were both worried about him. They ask him where he was, what happened. He says don't ask. They try to tell him about Aimee, but he won't listen. He says he is going to take a bath and relax and nobody but nobody is to disturb him. They look at each other like what's wrong with him?

We go to the gypsies outside of town, Branco is dancing and suddenly Salma appears. He looks at her intensely and asks her what she is doing there. She says she missed him, she couldn't forget about him and she loves him. Branco says he was very clear with her. She betrayed her gypsy heritage and she has been abusing that poor family. We go to Mariela and Abuelo talking, didn't get most of this. Back to Branco and Salma reveals that Jimena is the real daughter of Mariela. Branco is like, of course! No wonder she was so obsessed with Gabriel! Salma tells Branco that she is a pure gypsy and he tells her again that she betrayed her gypsy blood. She says she will prove that she loves him. Mariela has discovered that Salma/Angela is gone.

Jimena is in the square and sees someone selling candy apples. She has flashbacks and vague memories. A nearby mother is happy to find her daughter, she thought she had gotten lost. More jogging of Jimena's memory. Gabriel walks up and wants to know what is wrong. Jimena tells him about the confusing memories and the feeling of anguish connected with the caramel apples. She wonders if she could have been stolen from someone by Griselda. Gabe agrees.

The fishermen and workers are outside the huts bringing Juan gifts. They want to thank him for giving them the land, for being so generous.

Noel has come to the finca without asking because he needs to have Renato sign the papers for the finca to go to Clemencia. He is talking to Ren and Leo. Leo won't budge, she won't leave the finca and she is shocked and incensed that Juan is giving it to Clem. Noel says they can take their time but Ren is the one who needs to sign the papers. He agrees that he gave his word and he has to. Noel tries to tell them they can find another place, they have time. But Leo is not leaving, and she wants Renato to act like the son she raised and not sign the papers. She will be too humiliated if she leaves. Ren says it is a humiliation to stay as well.

Back to the workers giving Juan gifts. He tells them the land was theirs as soon as they started to work it. All are very happy. Remigio pulls Santos aside and wants to ask him for advice on a personal matter. He tells him he saw Lulu and Santos asks him how he felt. He says his heart was pounding, he loves her. Santos says he has another opportunity, he should take it. Pedro chimes in that Santos is right and happiness is hard to find.

Felipe and Lulu are having a similar conversation about the Remigio/Lulu encounter. Lulu is excited that Remi may forgive her. Felipe says she deserves more than that, but Lulu thinks love is too much to ask. Felipe says no, you deserve his love.

A conversation at the beach I didn't understand, something about the work Juan wants to do, or something he wants to export. These other fishermen/workers show up and want a chance to work at the cooperative, too. Our guys are hesitant, I think the other ones didn't stick around when Juan was in trouble and they don't want to accept them. Juan says they should have the chance to work, too, and makes them shake hands. Santos says they are welcome. Now all are friends again.

Regina is talking to Noel, says she has to tell him about something. She is scared, Aimee told her Renato has a plan to separate her and Juan. Noel thinks Aimee is just lying to upset her but Regina insists she knows her sister. She says if Renato interferes with her happiness he will know a different Regina. Noel says he has always admired her strength. He then says he needs to ask her something as well, about his grandchild, like he knows something is wrong. Regi starts to tell him when who should run up but Renato. He's all sweating and grabs Regina in a hug which she doesn't return. Colibri just happens to see them at that moment, of course. He runs off before she tells Renato not to hug her. (Ack, I don't like them using Colibri this way!)

Felipe and Lulu are with the new Aguacil/former captain. They are telling him they suspect Rodrigo for the death of Brigitte, they want him to investigate, they want justice. He listens to them and says that he will. Juan then comes in and interrupts wanting to see the old aguacil. He is let into the area where the old aguacil is and the other prisoners bring him to the door. Juan says believe it or not I'm not happy to see you here. He says if you're waiting for Rodrigo to help you he isn't going to, he is a coward. He talks about his father and how his father was treated and how justice works in strange ways. The OA asks for his help. Juan basically says see ya later and leaves as the OA is yelling for his help.

Jimena and Gabriel are in the square and someone is selling flowers. Gabe gets some for her and I think says they replace the ones he was going to give her the day he saw her kissing Branco. He tells her what happened that day. Jimena tells him she will love him for the rest of her life, they kiss and Servando is watching in the background holding a flower.

Mariela is pacing and praying. Salma comes back and Mari asks her where she has been. She tries to hug her but Salma won't let her, she says don't touch me! Mari is shocked and very upset and says what is going on, why are you dressed in your gypsy clothes? Salma says I'm not your daughter! I'm not Angela! It was all a lie cooked up between Griselda and me to get money!. Mariela is even more distraught, but Salma walks out and doesn't tell her who her real daughter is.

Rod and Leo are with the new Aguacil thinking they can bribe him like old one. But he tells them there have been several denunciations against them, that Doc Miranda accuses them of killing his uncle, Juan de Dios has his accusations and two employees of the casino accuse them of killing Brigitte. Rod says we are an old, respected family, you can't believe them instead of us. Doc Miranda had designs on Regina and he's trying to get revenge. Aguacil says I don't doubt your word but I also don't doubt those who are accusing you. I am going to investigate and I suggest you get a good lawyer.

Colibri runs up and tells Juan that he saw Regina and Renato hugging. Just after that Regi walks up and is surprised when Juan is cold to her. He wants to know where she was and she says she went to see her padrino on a private matter. Juan says Noel or Renato? He says I am your husband, I should know where you are. He is suspicious and jealous, and Regi doesn't help anything by not revealing what she went to talk to Noel about, infuriatingly she says again it is private.

We go to Aimee remembering what the bruja said about the Montes de Oca child who will be born, that she realizes it is Juan and Regina's child. She vows again that it will never be born and that if she can't be happy at Juan's side neither can Regina. Dun dun dun, end.

Thanks for a great recap Ivy. It looks like things are finally starting to fall into place. It's getting pretty exciting now.

Thank you Ivy for the wonderful recap. Now celebrate! this was officially your last recap for this telenovela.

Jody :)

Ivy: A terrific recap. You noted all of the details so well (as always). Your recounting of Fully's toying with Eloisa and Fed was spot on: "Throughout this conversation Fully has a bite on his fork and is teasing them, like he's just going to take a bite".

Along with you, I was totally frustrated that Colibri's main function now seems to be an unwitting, unwilling witness to Renato's foced hugging of Regina. The poor lad just doesn't stick around long enough to see Regina's dismayed facial expression and to note that she does not hug Renato back. Juan's jealous and hurt (although he should know better) and Regina fails to diffuse the situation by revealing Aimee has concocted another scheme to tear them apart. Ack.

I've never seen Branko give Salma the slightest bit of encouragement, either looks or words. He has always seemed totally disinterested. Am I wrong?? I don't understand why she continues to pursue him in the face of his total indifference.

Also, if Salma was sincere in making amends, why didn't she tell Mariela that Jimena is her real daughter? Why leave her distraught and not reveal the truth?

I enjoyed seeing Felipe again. I thought the actress playing Lulu was trying to stifle a smile during their scene with the new Aguacil. Quite a character - he makes me smile as well.

Rod's crying and mewling is pathetic. Not one iota of sympathy from me!

I'm going to miss the next few episodes so can't wait to catch up with the recaps on Monday.

Diana

Thanks for a wonderful recap Ivy.

Somebody needs to put Colibri in time out (as cute as he is). It seems out of caracter to me for him to run and tattle like that. He at least should have stuck around and heard the rest of the story.

I just knew that Salma was going to out herself. I can't believe she didn't tell who the real daughter was though, however now Branko knows so he will definitely tell.

Loved how Fully toyed with Eloisa and Fed. So funny.

Can't stand Aimee. What diabolical scheme does she have in mind for Regina? I wish Regina had just told Noel and Renato about Aimee's fake pregnancy.

Ivy, love your'e storytelling. I wished Colibri wouldn't be such a tattletale, if only he would of stuck around to actually see Regina's reaction to Renato's hug. How sweet it was to have Leo learn that Clem would be geting the finca. I think it was just desserts for Juan to be able to see the OA in the type of cell that he and his father were kept in. Glad to see the new OA toss Rodrigo's money back at him for trying to bribe him. Can't believe only few more weeks till the shows over. Hope to see EY is something real soon or William Levy. Think they are the best and hottest actors in telenovelas today. Thanks again to all recappers!

I'm getting kind of tired of Colibri interfering in grown folks' business.

Why won't Regina just tell Juan:

a) the letter was for Clemencia

b) I was talking to Noel when Renato ran up on me, if you don't believe me, ask Noel

See how simple that was?

Should Jimangela be roaming around town willy nilly when she knows Servando is still on the loose?

Branko and the Gypsy Crew couldn't have gone too far for Salma to just show up like that.

Renato is out of the house. If Aimee wants to escape so badly, now is the time.

Some episodes back, Servando told Salma that Branko and the gypsy band were not far out of town.

Thanks, Jody- I couldn't just do a summary, too detail-oriented! So I guess I ended up not quitting after all. :)

One thing I forgot to include was Felipe doing the CanCan for the Aguacil. When he and Lulu were telling him who they were and talked about the CanCan, Aguacil looked puzzled, so Felipe demonstrated it for him!

I kind of thought Juan might come back and agree to help the OA if he reveals what he knows about Rod and Leo, but I could be wrong. For the time being he wanted to rub it in.

I, too, thought it was out of character for Colibri to be like that, and for sure for Regina to not reveal anything. I guess she is acting like she used to in protecting Aimee. Frustrating!!

Fully is really playing a cat and mouse game with Eloisa and Fed.

Jeri, I'm sending the e-mail now. Thank you for the reminder. Thanks Ivy for the recap. Regina needs to stop keeping things from Juan. No wonder he acts suspicious when she become secretive. Of course, once again Colibri witnesses a moment between Regina and Renato and misinterprets it to add to the strain. Fully is holding the cards close to his vest of how he will deal with Fed and Eloisa for their betrayal. LOL at how both refused to be the food tasters of the poisoned meal while Fully teased them by acting as though he was going to take a bite. Salma was pretty harsh with Mariela. At least now she knows Salma isn't Angela. Hopefully with Jimena's memories resurfacing she and Mariela will realized that they are mother and daughter. I think the show is being preempted tonight and the grand finale is set for the 30th. I will miss this show when it ends.

Pirate Babe, thank you! And thank you for the heads up: my TiVo shows the Univision schedule tonight pre-empting CS.

However, on my Season Pass menu, it shows CS coming at the regular time.

I am going to assume the Univision schedule is the right one and that there is no show tonight.

(This means recappers working from downloads will move back one episode number. Anybody needing download links, contact me at jeri@tormenta.com)

The new episode calendar would go as such. Please anybody correct this if it's wrong:

Since there is no recap tonight, could Five-Foot Latina possibly consider filling in on 8/30 for the finale instead? I can provide a download link, if necessary.

Or anybody who would like to do the finale is welcome. Thank you!

Thanks Ivy! This was terrific!

I too, liked the way Fulgencio toyed with Eloisa and Fed. At one point he even put the food on his lips, then moved the fork away and wiped his mouth to speak. It shows how diabolical he really is. His revenge will be vicious.

I laughed at Leo refusing to leave the Finca. I can just picture her sitting in that big office chair, gripping the arms and howling "I'm not leaving!" Then Clemencia comes in with several big pescadores who pick the whole thing up, carry it out the door, and dump her unceremoniously into the duck pond.

I loved Phillipe's Can Can! I kinda miss the Can Can't club.

It's frustrating to see Juan act like a dope. Just the night before he swore eternal love, now he's stomping off without waiting for an explanation from Regina? And she's gotta stop the "I can't tell you, it's private" nonsense.

Ivy, great recap and so helpful to me. Thank you.

Juan and Reggie have been doing the bunny hop a lot, it seems. Does Juan think Reg is like Aimee and will betray him despite her constant "te amos." But he did warn Reggie that, he is afraid of losing her. So, Reggie. please loosen your lips and tell Juan that Noel was there and about Renato's plan.

Yes, Fully is a dangerous and vicious man and he will probably will enjoy toying and torturing El and Fed.. They need to run far far away but we know they are too greedy for that.

We are moving forward little by little.

Ivy, thank you very, very much!

I couldn't just do a summary, too detail-oriented! So I guess I ended up not quitting after all. :) -> And we are very grateful for that. :))

I'm officially in Team Fully.

Ok, Jody will be available to do her Monday recap of the finale on the revised date (8/30), which she generously offered to do even though she already has a recap on STuD that evening.

She will be kind of bookending the show, having recapped the premier episode and the finale. Many thanks!

And many thanks to Connie who offered to recap the finale, too, in addition to her regular two recaps here and on STuD. Heroes!

Ivy, thanks so much for your recap. It was great.

ITA w/the comments regarding Juan, Regina and Colibri. Oy!

Since Salma didn't really repent (I can't believe she didn't also confess who the real Angela is, evil manipulator), I wonder what her demise will be?

Fully is in complete revenge mode. I wouldn't want to be Eloise or Fed.

My Univision and Comcast show that CS comes on at Midnight, just as it always does and that STud comes on at 10 pm.
Wish Colibri would stick around long enough to get the full picture. I think I understand why Regina did not tell Juan what she was talking to Noel about. She's afraid that Juan will go after Aimee to get the truth and then go after Renato. Just a thought....

Excellent recap! I had bad audio on Youtube since I forgot to record most of it, so you filled in what I missed. Much appreciated! Love your sassy style!

Ivy, thanks for the recap. Had to laugh at Phillipe reminding the NA of his connection to the can-can't casino.
Interesting to watch Fully toy with his "faithful" friend and wife.
La Paloma

Thanks, Ivy! That sure was a Monday episode, wasn't it? Though at least it picked up a little toward the end.

Argh, Colibri, Regina! -tears at hair- I maintain that that kid's going to grow up to be a peeping tom (or the town gossip. Or both). I don't understand why Regina won't just go ahead and tell Juan about Aimee's housewarming present, unless she's just afraid of what his response will be. Granted, you probably couldn't blame her for that - though I'm of the mind that a frothing ride to the finca is precisely what's called for! Right now, knowing that everything will work out in the end isn't much of a consolation - I'm just so tired of watching them be angry and fearful and on the verge of tearing apart.

I was wondering what the heck was up with Felipe breaking into dance at the aguacil's office - it was so random (at least before the fill-in)! I didn't know whether to laugh or make the O__o face (so I think I did both).

I continue to hope that Salma won't be able to redeem herself enough to earn Branko's love. I know I said something similar about Rosenda and Doctorcito, but Salma's ended up seeming like the worse of the two to me. I don't feel like she revealed herself out of any sense of genuine guilt (or at least, not as a major factor); I think she just did it because she couldn't stand being forced into the blanca box and losing Branko for it. If regret for hurting the others had been her main motivation, it seems like she would/should have revealed the whole truth. And picking the house pockets before she left? That's not exactly a reform in action.

Glad to see Remi reconsidering his position on Lulu. I quite liked her dress today (and Jimena's, too) - with a couple of modifications (like losing the apron), they both looked like they could be made into comfy summer clothes for a super girly-girl (like me!).

xlntperuvian, I would love to see a Leo/Clemencia scene play out exactly like you imagined! That would go beyond fantastic. I'm still giggling.

Ivy, great job. Thanks so much for your excellent recaps.

As usual, I'm behind, but with no show last night, for the moment, I'm caught up.

Generally it annoys me when things are drawn out interminably in TNs, but in the case of Fulgencio, he can extend his little game of cat and mouse until the last episode. I should be ashamed of myself, but I'm enjoying watching him play with his victims.

Carlos

Well, there was no C S on Tuesday night. Gordo and Flaca was on at 12 midnight and at 1 p m Amar Sin Limites was on at its usual time slot, at least on my Uni station.

GinCA

GinCA -- No CS on television last night for me either.

BTW, I just emailed the people who requested ornaments that I mailed them out today. You should receive them by next week.

I do still have two extra ornaments if anyone wants one, please email me and let me know.

Jody :)

Thanks so much, Jody! What a great idea that was; I'm looking forward to seeing that every year.

I cannot thank you enough for this recap
