Llena de Amor #38 Wed 9/29/10 Fedra officially gets HER house, but Carlota shows up to set things straight.

At dinner, Fedra threatens to put Gretel in a manicomio. Gretel says go ahead; then she will find out what she is capable of. Later, Gretel visits the General and he asks what she saw when she followed Fedra. Gretel is afraid to say anything because she thinks her mother will do the same to her that she did to Luis Felipe. That makes the General think. Back up in her room with the cat, Gretel cries that she’s too much of a coward, but she doesn’t want to be murdered.
Ilitia has presumptuously decided to name her new modeling agency with the Ruiz y de Teresa name. She agrees to make Kristel a top model. Emanuel tries to feign some vague interest. When they’re alone, Ilitia tells Emanuel she wants to get married ASAP so they can get busy every night. He panics. She tries to appeal to his lower brain. He says he is not going to marry her.
Lowrenzo and his real estate guy hold a business meeting in a “strip club” that’s every bit as lame as La Mala Noche. They sign contracts. Lowrenzo insists on anonymity.
The next day: Ilitia is busy crying to her mom and wondering if Emanuel has been cheating on her. Muñeca gets a call about the orphans being evicted and immediately heads out to see about it, so Ilitia throws a tantrum because Mom cares about something besides Ilitia Ilitia Ilitia. Meanwhile, Low is at the gym gloating about ruining the orphanage and thus keeping Muñeca and Begoña apart. Muñeca goes straight to Begoña to ask for help with the orphans.
Court’s in session, Netty and Marianela on one side of the room, Fedra, Emiliano, and Emanuel on the other. Eman is really on Mari’s side, though. Brief moment of hope when it’s a different judge than the one Fedra paid off with her dubious charms, but ultimately the ruling is in Fedra’s favor and she gets all the money and the house. Emanuel wants to help Marianela. She tells him to help by leaving her alone and never speaking to her again.
Some thugs Brandon and Oliver previously arrested have been released from prison. They go to the club, where Mauricio and Lowrenzo are talking about their black market booze, and demand to know where the merchandise is. Lorenzo takes them to the warehouse. He wants out of the crime ring, but the thugs say no way. Also, they’ve now been assigned to operation Begoña-B-Gone/Babygrab. Lorenzo says forget it; she lives in a house full of police.
Nereida goes to the station and pretends to be all ashamed and embarrassed before finally “confessing” that she was in the garden smooching on Spiderus at the specified time. Well, she certainly should be embarrassed. Kissing that ghoul. Gag. Brandon is sure she is lying but Tejeda says they have no proof. FIND PROOF. Bernardo is freed and gloats to Brandon, but Brandon says not for long.
Mauricio grossly and aggressively hits on Ilitia in an empty room at the gym. Lorena sees and somehow thinks they’re having an affair and this will be fun news to share. Ilitia gets away from rapey Agent O.
Ricardo, Eva’s manager, visits Netty and Marianela and tells them that Eva was completely sober, but had been threatened in the days before her death. Someone sent her a bottle of booze the day she died. He’s sure someone caused the helicopter explosion deliberately.
Tia Carlota is in town! Her brother Máximo tells her what a witch Fedra is, but she thinks he’s being melodramatic. Fedra is always lovely to her. She says she’ll look into it, though. When the family arrives home, she demands to know what’s going on with Marianela’s inheritance. Emanuel tells her Fedra took everything. Carlota is incensed. She says Fedra is going to have to answer to her, and she wants Mari at the house for dinner to talk about it. Emiliano sits by being a waffly wimp.

GREAT recap, as usual! Begoña-B-Gone indeed! And yes, Emiliano is a wimp again. Whipped, wimp, whatever.

Poor Emanuel, he can't seem to do anything right! Bummer! Well, hopefully Tia Carlotta will set things straight. And good news about Eva's agent coming for a visit.

Fun episode last night with just small, but significant, plot movements. Did a great job getting it down in the recap Julia. Thanks a bunch.

Some sad moments...I mean honestly, how do some people live with themselves - Lowrenzo, just disgusting with that slimy smile knowing what he did. Clever to ply that dofus guy with eye candy and slide those papers for signature. Don't think he's as clever as he thinks - bet Muneca finds out somehow. Hope she does.
Mari loseds everything again and the look on Eman's face was just as devastated as hers. Man she really gave it to him.
And Gretel always makes me sad. Poor thing.

But I loved seeing Carlota walk into the house - she'snot happy, and let's hope she gets some positive things done for Mari. Wonder if they'll show her weighing in on Axel too.

And Eman FINALLY admits to ilitia he isn't marrying her. Now, someone tell him he's not Mari's kissin' cousin and get that boy to realize how he really feels about her.

Yet another superb recap, thanks Julia! I just about gagged when Tia Carlota was singing Fedra's praises, yuck. I get the feeling that she'll end up hornswoggled by La Reina just like everyone else. Fedra really is the world's worst mother. She totally favors Kristel and Emanuel, has completely damaged Gretel, and is likely (as someone suggested and I totally believe it) behind Axel's deep, dark secret.

Hooray for Eman for refusing to marry that self-centered brat Ilitia. I really thought he was going to cave but he stood tough. By the way, the "Baby" count from last night was 16 give or take a "Baby".

I like the actor who plays Ricardo. He was odious Oscar from Gancho. He's a terrific bad guy so I wonder if he will be good or bad in this one?

Thanks again Julia. Begoña-B-Gone/Babygrab is a keeper!

One more thing, what about Muneca inviting Flora and her chauffeur (can't remember his name) to have dinner with her? Kind of sweet and sad at the same time. And it occurred to me, Muneca and the chauffeur...hmmmmmm? The guy adores her, I wonder if he's single? She needs to lose some of that eye shadow though, my eyes feel heavy just looking at her.

Sylvia - I thought the same thing about Fidel! He clearly adores Muneca and feels protective of her...and he's not Bad on the eyes.

With Eman not marrying her, think Ilitia will keep up the "Baby" speak? It's annoying, but I actually can't picture her now using his full name.

Julia, great job. "Begoña-B-Gone/Babygrab"... excellent.

Hurrah for Tia Carlota. At last, an adult shows up. I don't expect miracles but expect that she will shake and stir things. She certainly makes Emiliano uncomfortable. Oddly, Fedra... not so much... at least so far.

Careful, Orangeboy, you're nibbling on the wrong bonbon. Lorenzo will swat you like a fly.

Is there an honest judge in Mexico? One would never think so watching TNs.

I hope that Ricardo is better at good than he was at bad (Oscar in Gancho). He clearly adored Eva.

Muñeca and Fidel? Yes.

Carlos

Wonderful recap Julia. My favorite line was your last: "Emiliano sits by being a waffly wimp". Hilarious.

I want to disinfect my TV screen every time Lowrenzo appears. Oxygen waster (love that line - can't remember who came up with it.).

The comments are great today.

I'm thrilled also that Ilitia is back on the singles scene. But, conquering the biggest hurdle, learning that Eman isn't Mari's kissin' cousin (perfect daisy) will probably take some time.

Sylvia, I totally concur - Fedra is THE worst mother. Ever. Period. "the "Baby" count from last night was 16 give or take a "Baby". :) You are too funny.

Carlos: "Careful, Orangeboy, you're nibbling on the wrong bonbon. Lorenzo will swat you like a fly" was great. Still smiling.

Diana

Julia – you did a terrific job of getting everything in a nutshell. I’m impressed!! And you even added funny bits too. Good job!

I wonder why (except for plot development) Muñeca would turn to Begoña when her orphanage was threatened. Doesn’t she have a board she’s worked with for years? A director there? Somebody besides some girl she just met!

Okay, now we know that Mauricio wasn’t just putting on an act manhandling Marianela. He truly is a rapist.

And I was surprised that Ilitia was calmly practicing her poses when just the day after her big love had said he didn’t want to marry her. You’d think she’d be in bed crying for days on end.

Carlos – the Ricardo actor isn’t that great at being good. He was in Pecado, and he seems to be an old-school super melodramatic actor, prone to turning tear-filled eyes heavenward, etc.

Thanks for the recap Julia!! I've been busy with work and haven't been able to read or post lately. Great to see the comments here.

So Mauricio is basically a rapist. Does the actor ever play a good guy or just slimy, gross orange perverts?

I'm hoping Tia Carlotta will stir things up!

I admit, I didn't see the adoration vibes coming from Fidel the chauffeur, but now that the rest of you mention it . . . YES! He is a very distinguished, classy-looking guy of the appropriate age, will be a good "fit" for Muñeca, and finally she'll get the respect and adoration she so clearly deserves, from someone who deserves HER adoration. I really really hope this happens. Poor Muñeca deserves a classy guy after all she's been through with slimy Lorenzo.

Yikes, Agent Orange. That was gross. Not only is he a perv, he's a complete idiot. What a choice of attempted conquest; his novia's best friend? What would he really expect to happen? I suspect we have not seen the last of these tendencies.

I'm SO glad Carlota and Ricardo are on the scene! Finally some people who are in some position of power who are on Marianela's side. I hope Carlota is also able to do something about Fedra's attempts to have Máximo declared non compos mentis.

I do wonder which way Carlota will come down on Axel. She's not a fan of the artsy crowd (Netty) and I suspect she would lump Axel in with all those things she disapproves of. I'm hoping she at least has a sense of fairness.

When I saw that actor that plays Ricardo during the first episode and then no more I was upset but I hope he gets more involved too! He was awesome in Mi Pecado (So sad when Paulino died)
And I feel like there's a new shift with him and Tia Carlota in the picture now. Somethings gonna happen, I know it!
Thank you for the recap :D

Fidel means faithful. A coincidence? I think not.
