Llena de Amor #89 (Mex. 94) Thu 12/16/10 The Hardy Boys Find Some Clues, The Boardinghouse Becomes A Fight Club and Victoria Twists The Knife

Big doins tonight. Deals are made. Clues discovered. Other secrets still kept. We had interrupted romances (Brandon and Consuelo), fake romances (Doris and Manolo) and imagined romances (Muñeca dreaming of Fidel as el Lirio de Plata). And lots of beat downs. Three black eyes in the naco boardinghouse alone. Even better, Mauricio gets thoroughly punched out. Fedra is alternately thwarted and frightened. Kristel and Lorenzo remain clueless about most everything. And Mari/Vicky digs her claws into Ilitia. Not pretty but I guess turnabout's fair play. So all in all, no complaining about the action dragging tonight. Nosireee!

A brief review of last night: Lorenzo and Fedra are about to start their nauseous canoodling when they're interrupted by a threatening phone call. It's clearly Victoria but Fedra's baffled. And frightened. When Lorenzo cautions her to "no te desesperes" she thinks he's saying "Perez" and that really freaks her out. Way to go, Low!
Elsewhere, Ilitia is thinking out loud how she'd like to kill Mauricio and see him rot in hell-- which chaps Kristel quite a bit. And just why is Ilitia obsessing about HER boyfriend instead of focusing on her beloved groom. Good question Kristel. Now make a huge effort, girl and THINK!!!

Wow...well, Emanuel's thinking. About Mari. And how much he misses her. Axel bops in and says he misses her too. Yep, now that he's recovered his memory, he regrets the nasty way he treated her. Great! Let's toast to that....and with the good stuff. Now that Axel has Bernardo's keys, the boys are off to break into the wine cellar that the Momster has made off limits to them for years.

Elsewhere, our two skinny bitches are still squabbling. Ilitia has tried to backtrack by saying her ire with Mauricio had to do with his behavior at the party. And how about how he was coming on to that newbie Victoria!? Kristel denies it. Ilitia calls her "blind". Kristel begs to differ. She's in love. And has no reason to doubt Mauricio. Okay. Not blind. Just flat out Dumb. But that's not our problem.

But speaking of dumb...GretelMan and Doris are hatching up a new scheme. Since Oliver doubt's GM's masculinity, how about she and Doris pretending to be novios? No sooner said than done. Oliver arrives, the girls are in a near smooch and he's in a royal snit. Not helped by GM giving him a nyahnyahnyah look. Or Doris raving that his incredible kisses have left her trembling.

Lottsa trembling upstairs in Brandon's bedroom too. He and Consuelo are about to get to Criterion Behavior when Oliver bangs on the door. Thank God! Praying nightly for this story line to go away. Consuelo scrambles for the closet. Brandon scrambles for his pants. Oliver, finally in, tells big brother that Manolo's getting frisky with his little sister downstairs. Brandon shoots down and discharges a little pent-up energy punching Manolo out. See what I mean? Lots of action in this episode. Stupid. But lively.

And the pace is picking up in the wine cellar too. Emanuel and Axel forget all about vino when they find a wastepaper basket full of syringes, plates of old food and a wine cask carved with "my name is Gretel Ruiz de Teresa".
Wow. Okay. First of all, Bernardo did a lousy job of cleaning up. Too busy getting busy with Nereida, no doubt. And the boys are finally realizing that their mother is even more of a monster than they thought. But where could Gretel be now? And surely she has gone crazy after being shut up like an animal for two years. Have they put her in an insane asylum? Emanuel's plan is not to confront directly. Rather, he'll keep to his plan of being Mom's good buddy and PRY the information out of her. Axel looks dubious.

So does Gladiola when she goes upstairs and now finds Oliver in Brandon's bedroom.....with a scantily clad Consuelo (my eyes my eyes!) creeping out of the closet. Some stammering going on here which isn't convincing Glad a bit.

Well, heck, let's leave this uncomfortable scene for another icky one. Lorenzo is meeting his detective in some kind of girlie booze joint. The bozo keeps leering at some gals' legs instead of paying attention to Lorenzo's predicament of finding his lost child. But he finally tears himself away to advise him that the only way Low can get a handle on the child's whereabouts is to be in contact with one of Garduño's people. Got it? Now back to my full-time leering.

Back to the brouhaha in the barrio. Oliver's sneering at the purported romance, suggesting the only thing Doris and Manolo could do together is get their nails done. But he knows they're hiding something and he's gonna find out! Victoria, who's sauntered down in her peignoir, is defending her little bro' to Brandon as delicate and sensitive. Brandon's not fooled. He's feminine and different...and I'm okay with that as long as he doesn't lead my sister on. But he needs to lay off her. And as for you, my naco policeman's nose still tells me something's fishy. And the name Victoria de la GARZA fits you quite well. (Okay, not sure what the joke is but there are two possibilities: One..."garza" means "heron". But also, someone who "se cree la divina Garza" is someone pretentious who gives herself airs. So...I dunno...take your pick.)

Okay. Merrrrrrrry Christmas. We get to see Mauricio punched out. Garduño's two goons warn him he has two weeks to pay back the stolen money and emphasize their message with some effective blows to the face. Let's just sit back and savor that for a moment.

Okay. Back to business. GretelMan is chafing at the criticism of her "masculinity". And feeling sorry for Axel now that she understands what it feels like to be dissed as a girlie man. Doris makes another plea for honesty on all fronts and is met with the usual disclaimers. Can't tell. Too dangerous. Fedra's a real threat. Must protect the folks at home. Yada yada. Upstairs, the yada yada is taking a violent turn. Oliver wants to know what's up with Consuelo. When he knows Brandon's obsessed with Ilitia. Brandon wants to know what's up with Doris. Is Oliver just trying to use her to "forget" since Gretel dumped him. Them's fightin' words. Oliver lands a good one and now we have three black eyes. Manolo, Brandon and Oliver.

Soooo....ready for a little peace and quiet? We see Muñeca tucked in bed, peacefully dreaming about her chauffeur Fidel, dressed as el Lirio de Plata and confessing his love for her with a plea to use the money for good and....ah yes, punctuate that plea with a tender kiss. Creepy old Low, in his satin pj's slips into bed and imagines that his poor wife is dreaming of him with desire. Ah if you only knew Lorenzo. You've been replaced. And by a much better guy.

Victoria and Manolo are still in deep discussion. She's revealed her threatening phone call to Fedra and GretelMan reveals her tell-all newspaper article which will come out tomorrow. (Does anybody do fact checking in Mexico? Well, no matter...let's get on with this.)

Emanuel's trying to do some fact-checking of his own, wheedling some Gretel info out of Momster but they're interrupted by Axel and Emiliano. Pops is glowing because son has recovered his memory. And his balls. I'm not going to be a doctor, Mother. I'm going to study music. Mom counters that music is for the light lads, not a decent profession for her son. Emiliano disputes. Emanuel sides with Mom. Dad is disappointed. And then there's the firing of Bernardo. Now Fedra's REALLY upset. You can't do that! He's my right arm. I'm crippled without him! A deal is struck. If you lay off Axel and his music, I'll let Bernardo stay. Okay. Signed sealed and delivered. For now. (Can't imagine Fedra ever giving up. But the lady knows how to play for time. Gotta give that to her.) Axel leaves, but not before exchanging a conspiratorial wink with Emanuel.

More uproar in the boardinghouse. Gladiola and Netty are double-teaming the young folks. Doris is being criticized for setting off the violence by going after Oliver and then hooking up with Manolo. Izzat what they teach you in Los Angeles young lady!? Maybe you should get back to work! Like at the funeral parlor. Doris is saved by Victoria who promises her a job at the agency. (Now how could our barely established newbie wield that kind of power? Another question better not asked. Let's go with the flow again.)

We see an outside shot of Mauricio's home (or apartment building?) Anyway, it's clearly the same building they used as the agency in Fea Más Bella. Quite nostalgic to see it now as Malicio's pad. Lorenzo has arrived to pour oil on troubled waters and hook up with Mauricio as a partner. He'll set him up to play Lirio de Plata and rob the rich folks at a charity bash Muñeca is planning. In exchange, he wants to know if Garduño's getting close to finding his lost child.

El Lirio de Plata. The continuing mystery. Muñeca and Flora are still squabbling over whether or not to use the money. The briefcase falls. A letter appears. It's from Lirio! saying please use the money for the less fortunate. If you give it to the police it will just fall back into the hands of the people who are destroying our country. "with my deepest respect" el Lirio de Plata. That man is a hero! Ready to give his life for the poor! declares Flora. Fidel, hovering at the door and listening in, strides in and adds his vote. Don't give the money back. But Muñeca's sure he's hiding something.

Let's wrap up the continuing wrangle at the boardinghouse. Gladiola wants to straighten out this hot mess right now. Like who's Consuela been canoodling with? Oliver starts babbling. Consuelo looks panicked. Brandon likewise. But here's how the story spins out. Olly says he had too much to drink, saw Consuelo emerging from the bathroom scantily dressed, came on to her and.....well, let's forget the whole thing. General relief all 'round. Well, relief until GretelMan starts thanking Oliver for taking the blame and gets a little too cosy, wanting to be his friend and gushing about what a nice guy he is. Olly's had enough. Do you have the hots for me or what!? (Do we think Gretel's about to let Oliver in on her secret? Stay tuned.)

And stay tuned for Fedra's latest schemes. She's plotting her next move on Axel but wonders where he got the guitar. Bernardo explains Delicia's involvement and gloats that he's going to teach both her and Axel a lesson. This happy scene is interrupted by Nereida bringing in the front page news that Fedra has been denounced as the hostess of an elite club of the most corrupt people in the country. Zounds! Definitely stay tuned. Let it hit the fan!

Now for the finale. Doris and Victoria arrive at the agency. Doris' secret crush, André Silva is on her like white on rice, remembering her name and extolling her triumph in L.A. She pretends she doesn't remember him. His face is so common. Lots of guys like him in Los Angeles. (You're overdoing it Doris!) His face falls. But with an ego like his, he rebounds quickly when he learns she'll be working there and offers to show her around. And off they go.

And Emanuel and Ilitia arrive, bickering about her desire to shadow him at work. Time for Victoria to unsheathe her claws. Which she does most effectively. Ah, the "happy newlyweds" she coos. And reminds Manny, when he "usteds" her that last night they were on a "tutear" basis. And she wants to return his clothes to him. Ilitia is surprised. And outraged. Oh...you didn't explain to wifey why you arrived home last night without your clothes?" smiles Mari. And we have another nyahnyahnyah look. Whew! Fin.

Previews:
Ilitia protests that Emanuel loves her. Not even you believe that, sneers Victoria.
Vicky/Mari vows vengeance.
Brandon tells Ilitia she's playing with fire and will get burned.
Ilitia tells Vicky she'll defend her marriage "hasta los dientes" and Vicky says she hopes she has a good dentist. Yikes! This party is getting rough.

Vocabulary:
jeringas = syringes (What Manny and Axel found in the wine cellar)
metiendo mano = messing with, making out with, getting fresh with (Oliver ratting out Gretel and Doris to Brandon)
raspar en madera = scratched in wood (Gretel's name)
calentar la oreja a mi hermana = leading my sister on (Brandon about Manolo)
picarón, mal portado = rascal, bad boy (Mauricio teasing Lorenzo about his illegitimate child he's seeking)
agarró el jarro = got into my cups, got drunk (Oliver, making up an excuse)
echarse los perros = coming on to someone (Oliver's story about Consuelo)
perrita faldera = lap dog (Bernardo's dismissal of Delicia's interest in Axel)

Dicho of the Day

Un clavo saca otro clavo = One nail drives out another. You get over an old love by hooking up with a new one. (A favorite saying and plot device in telenovelas.)

Wow, this was a better episode than last night! I enjoyed it even more because you were recapping it Judy. I am the biggest sap in the world for true luuuuuv and was thrilled to see Muneca dreaming of Fidel. Hooray!! My biggest LOL moment was when Lowrentzo thought she was dreaming of him. Yo, clueless much?

I loved the Hardy Boys finding out the truth so quickly. Since everyone in that house is completely blind to reality I was, quite frankly, shocked. Another hooray! They put the pieces together in record time. I also thought it was completely true to life that even though we rarely see the brothers drinking wine as soon as they had The Key they couldn't wait to raid the good stuff. They didn't end up drinking but at least they made a discovery. I would never have relinguished those keys by the way.

Hey, good call on Malo's pad being Conceptos. Also very happy to see him beat up, goodness the slimebag deserves that and more.

Thanks Judy, what a stellar recap of a fantastic episode. This is exactly why I love this stuff.

And GREAT screen shots!

Isn't it funny how all three "boys" got black eyes at the boarding house?

Judy, Look at you with all the pictures!!! wow!!! Haven't read this but looked at the pictures!! I am on my way to work and will read and comment more when I get home. Just dropped in to say hi.

Good morning Pata and Sylvia. Well, we have to reward Televisa for "recycling". STuD is shot at the old Amor Real hacienda and now Mauricio's hunkered down at Conceptos. Works for me.

Still messing up the screen shots a bit and went a little overboard. As I toddled off to bed last night I thought that one at the beginning, one in the middle and one at the end would be more than enough!

Oh my stars Judy. Your recap was perfection, full of so many funny comments I don't know which is the best, and was so fun to go thru again a pretty neat episode.

Anybody that didn't get slugged last night? The fussin' and fightin' was in full swing. Some very nicely placed left and right hooks - Gretel/Manolo had one of the best. "Merrrrrrrry Christmas. We get to see Mauricio punched out." Oh, yeah that was the best - we didn't get to see too much, but I just let my imagination have some fun. (Learning from Muneca.)

Speaking of which, I'm with Sylvia, Hooray!! with the Fidel dreams. As viewerville knows, this hopefully will lead to something real. He is suave...could show Low a thing or two.

I'm hoping like you Judy that the whole revolving door of confusion at the pension means the end of the Brandon/Consuelo "coupling". I don't know why, she's a nice woman, but those two are just so wrong together, bugs the daylights out of me.

So the Ruiz boys are now in cahoots - love it - and hopefully they'll get somewhere on finding Gretel.I was hoping they would let Emi in on it. Maybe later. Do want to see how Fedra weasels her way out of those headlines...and I think the secret Gretel has to be revealed to at least Oliver soon.

Sons are coming home from college today for three weeks! Wahoo! Let the cooking and laundry begin. Kidding, I'm loving it and excited to have my two bums home.

Hi Daisynjay...I can tell you're excited about the two "bums" coming home. They're twins, right? Double the fun.

And triple the fun last night. It really was an all-comedy episode, even if Victoria was being a bit of a "mean girl" with Ilitia and Emanuel. We could certainly make an argument that they both deserve it. Emanuel's we're-locked-in-all-night seduction attempt is pretty skanky even if we know it's because Marianela's hormones are calling to him. And while Ilitia is slated for redemption, she has a lot of past sins still to atone for.

Judy-

Your recaps and pics keep getting better. It was a rather zany episode last night with all the fists flying about. Loved Gretel's (delicate) punch to Oliver's face. I have to say that I like GretelMan better than Gretel, since Gretel was always on edge and freaking out. GretelMan is having way more fun. If only she could do that, AND have Oliver.

More blah blah about how Mari and Gretel can't tell any of the people they love because it would put them in danger, but it's ok to leave them in a state of constant worry about their whereabouts. Ok, whatever.

I hope Fidel keeps invading Muneca's dreams, and then makes some progress in the real world. :)

Judy, in addition to feasting on a delicious dicho, vocabulary and recap, we're now being served an amazing appetizer - your pictures! Stellar, all the way around.

The recap was wonderful, and enjoyed your colorful "leering...and sneering", "nauseous canoodling", "near smooch and royal snit" and my favorite: "alternately thwarted and frightened".

I am joining the chorus that Axel and Eman are working together, although cannot imagine how painful their discovery must have been.

I just loved the "line up" in the bedroom, with Brandon, Oliver and Manolo somewhat chastised and battered and bruised. The sly looks, grimaces and facial contortions said it all. Judy, I want "Manolo" to tell Oliver the truth, but I am hoping to see a little more fun interaction before that happens.

Happy Friday all!

Diana

How appropriate that our Gentle Judy get this episode, and you handled it magnificently. Very nicely done. My favorite line:

"Okay. Merrrrrrrry Christmas. We get to see Mauricio punched out."

and the cherry on top: That picture of a bruised citrus... excellent.

The only downside last night: no going away shots of Netty.

I loved it when Oliver pointed out to Gladiola that Consuelo was half-dressed... not half-nude.

A real ouch: Gretel's etching on that barrel-top and Axel observing that she scratched it in with her nails. Yikes!

I cracked up over Fedra's outrage over the newspaper article yet her brief grunt of appreciation of the photo that accompanied it. She manages to humanize an utterly despicable character.

Thumbs up here for Muñeca's speculation about the true identity of el Lirio Plata. Fidel? In your dreams!

Carlos

Glad to see you all enjoyed the episode as much as I did. And thanks Carlos for remembering those fun tidbits...like Fedra checking out her photo (as we all do) and being pleased that it turned out well. Yes, those goofy comedic edges soften somewhat our Momster. Also "half-dressed" vs. "half-nude". Good thinking under pressure Oliver!

Vivi...good thought on the improved mental stability of GretelMan vs. Gretel. Given two years of tortured captivity and now the balancing act of carrying out a gender disguise, our little neurotic is doing amazingly well. And has a good punch. Although I liked the fact that she was wringing her hand and saying oweeeee afterwards.

Diana, I'm with you...let's string out the hidden identities a little longer so we can enjoy the comedy a bit more. Nice to have more laughs and less horror for a while.

I was not able to see last nights episode. The moment I saw the recap title I knew I missed some fun, but with the great recap & the pictures Judy I was able to enjoy it none the less. Bummed I did not see Muneca's dream, looked like it was a goody. So, agent O got beatup? Well, isn't there 12 days to Christmas? More Mauricio getting his comeupance I say! And lets throw in some Fedra while we are at it Santa!

When I saw the recap title "The Hardy Boys find some clues" the first thing I thought of was Shaun Cassidy, tells you how long in the tooth I am.

Judy thanks for the recap and all those pics. You are on fire!!

I enjoyed your satisfaction (mine was immense) with Agent O getting beat up (Carlos's bruised citrus was a good chortle as well). Now if Ilitia was just tell the truth to ANY of the men in her life (OK Brandon failed but Eman and even her loathsome father won't let her down), he'd get beaten again and thrown in jail.

The fighting was silly and fun. Add me to the list of people excited about Muneca's dream. Now she needs to make it a reality.

I was amazed at how quickly the boys realized the wine cellar had been Gretel's place of captivity. The two of them working on Fedra & Bernando could make for some interesting shenanigans.

Since no one mentioned concern over Bernando's treat again Axel and Dee, I'll hold onto the fact that he was assigned to kill Mari. We know how well that turned out though there was collateral damage with the death of Mother Dolores.

Karen, when Bernardo announced his revenge plans, I recall Fedra saying Well let's see if you louse this up like you've loused up everything else. So I think we can rest easy that no irreperable harm will be done. Bernardo is execrable...but also a bumbler. (If we ignore that little two-year sequestration in the wine cellar.)

Maureen...oh, so sorry you missed it. It WAS fun. But then that's the beauty of the recap system. Glad it worked for you. Hopefully Mauricio will still have his bruises tonight when you tune in.

JudyB, this was such a pleasure to read. I love how you organize your recaps. And I enjoyed all the funny bits and opinions. Outstanding stuff!

I’m in a big Christmas flap, but I do have my priorities – gotta watch the show and read the recaps and comments! They always make my day.

HiMaggie. Glad someone else gets in a "Christmas flap" One year the people in my classes gave me a handmade stocking with little bottles of Jack Daniels and aspirin bottles for Christmas. I get totally grinched out by the stress.

When you have time (after Christmas) go to "edit" and type in Llena in the little box at the bottom of the recap software so we can access your recaps via the new tagging system. Would hate for anybody to miss you or Carlos' past recaps. They're too wonderful.

Loved the recap Judy. I'm glad Axel and Eman came across the wine cellar of horrors and relieved not only that Gretel had been kept there but also that their mother is a monster.

Lots of hijinks at the pension for sure with the black eyed boys Gretelmanolo, Oliver, and Brandon.

Mari sure did take out the claws didn't she. I wonder will she ever spill about finding Ilitia in bed with Eman that prompted her leaving. I guess we'll see.

That's supposed to say realized not relieved. Typing too fast.

Judy, this is a really enjoyable read. You illuminate the wacky hijinx so well.

I'm so glad Eman and Axel are teaming up now. This is going to be great. I forget, does Emiliano know that Emanuel is just pretending to be on Fedra's side? He must, right...they had that chat about uncovering Fedra's past two years ago.

Meanwhile Kristel remains as clueless as ever. Malicio's been stringing her along for years, and she still thinks he's perfect and wants to marry her.

Gretel does seem to be having a lot more fun as someone else. The dopey smitten act she and Doris put on for Oliver was pretty funny.

Hi Pirate Babe and Julia. Everyone seems to have a pretty good feeling about last night's show. If anybody was upset, haven't heard from them yet.

Pirate Babe...I didn't even catch your typo. Of course I'm getting to the stage where even English words produce spelling errors, and when mixed in with Spanish...ay yi yi.

Julia...I thought Emiliano seemed really disappointed last night. And didn't remember that he was in the mix. Thanks for pointing that out.

As for having more fun as a different person. That actually DOES work. Back in the day, I had a lot more self-confidence and performing skills in French than I did in English. I attributed it to never having gone through the trials of puberty in French. And also, in French, I was "performing" all the time anyway. So I had a lot more confidence and pizzaz.

I wonder if Emiliano isn't really sure what Emanuel is up to. They had a few talks way back when, but Eman has been playing mama's boy pretty convincingly. Maybe Emil thinks maybe he's the one Emanuel is trying to fool. They don't seem to have made a lot of progress in their investigation in two years...

I still have to go back to Emilia's time bubble idea...everybody was in suspended animation except Emanuel and Marianela. Some kind of reverse Sleeping Beauty enchantment where two people remained awake, the rest of the city fell into a deep sleep. And then....voilà...up and running again, without an eyelash out of place.

JudyB, what a magnificent title! The summary was delightful, too! Thanks for this terrific recap with all the humor we have come to know and love, and a great vocabulary list, too!

“Good question Kristel. Now make a huge effort, girl and THINK!!!” ROTFL!! Hubby came by the television one night and heard her talking. He called her the Valley Girl and he doesn’t even know any Spanish. Of course, he might be picking up some of her English.

“the only way Low can get a handle on the child's whereabouts is to be in contact with one of Garduño's people. Got it? Now back to my full-time leering.” LOL! Just another creep in Low’s life.

“Merrrrrrrry Christmas. We get to see Mauricio punched out.” LOL!

“Ah if you only knew Lorenzo. You've been replaced. And by a much better guy.” Good on you, Muñeca. It works for us, too.

“(Does anybody do fact checking in Mexico? Well, no matter...let's get on with this.)” LOL! And the people at the newspapers take just anyone’s word that they have a juicy story. It’s not like Manolo/Gretel has any history with the paper or anything. Brandon vouched for him/her? Watch out, Jairo.

Fedra asserts that Bernardo has been with her all her life. He’s not her brother, so what’s that all about? (Or if he’s her brother, he has some REALLY creepy thoughts about Fedra).

Maybe Fidel works part time for Emanuel on the L de P stuff.

Doris’s putdown of Ándre was very, very satisfying. If he really knew anything about her, he’d remember he thought she was crying one time because he was being a jerk. And he would have remembered her from the first time he met her near the pensión or wherever it was.

Jeanne

Julia, left my comment about your Latin on last night's recap....

Jeanne

Hi Schoolmarm. I'm impressed that your hubster has already picked up on Kristel's persona. A reminder that the greatest part of communication is in tone of voice and the look. Understanding the individual words is secondary.

Interesting theory that Fidel and Emanuel might be teaming up. I like that idea and it could be so. At any rate, it's certainly working to enrich Muñeca's fantasy life. And she certainly deserves a good one after all these miserable years of being married to Lorenzo.

As for André...he has a heap of ground to cover before he's worthy of our sweet Doris. But no doubt that will happen.

Good to see you in these here parts, Schoolmarm. Hope you're going to have a peaceful weekend. A light snow has been falling all day here, but not much is sticking.

So, JudyB, I need to go back and type the tag into all my past recaps? Holy cow, that’s probably 150-200 of ‘em! Maybe more..But I can do it after Christmas, yes?

Yeah, JudyB, my hub's a pretty sharp guy...and you're so right that it's the tone and body language. He's really good at both of those, being a sign language interpreter (and having had deaf parents for whom he often interpreted loooong before he was licensed).

Well, I definitely want to see Muñeca end up with Fidel. I love his puppy dog look when Muñeca talks to him (except when she's scolding and he looks so crushed). Clearly he has a bad case of adoration. So, if his being part of the L d P team is what does the trick ultimately, that'd be terrific.

We had icy stuff yesterday. Injuries and accidents all over the place. (Getting all the kiddies home for the holidays today, though, thank heaven). Stay warm and safe!

Jeanne

I'd do a few at a time. Day by day. But that's just me. On the other hand, you do NOT need anything more on your "to do" list before Christmas. We women understand each other, right?

Still, it remains to be seen whether anyone can pull up recaps from beyond the first page of listings. Nobody seems to have figured out that part yet. Sure glad I'm not Melinama.

Jeanne...I love that Fidel is so protective of her. And his very name implies that he is worthy of Muñeca's trust and love. Unlike you-know-who.

On this gruesome weather, I always wonder why people buy new cars this time of year. Between the salt on the roads and the frequent accidents.....well....Husband of a friend finally got his long-dreamed of Lexus. Drove it for 3 days before a tractor-trailer rear-ended him, sending him into another car. He was uninjured. But car Kaput. I'm sticking with my good ol' 94 Honda.

Thanks, JudyB! I'll get on it after Christmas. Four parties this weekend (whee!) and cards not done yet...

Judy B, What a fun read. Even more fun since I actually watched it last night. I did miss that orange guy getting beat up though. I must have gotten up to get a cookie.

Your pictures are great by the way. Nice compliment to your already well written recaps. You have a really great writing style.
It's like reading a chapter from a novel.

Thanks again, and sorry this was so late.

Never too late Pata. You're doing important work during the day. That's more important than reading recaps, but I'm glad you did. Hope this new tagging system works out. Seem to be some glitches so far.

JudyB--yep, Fidel's a keeper. No doubt the writers named him that with a purpose.

We bought a new Taurus in February because of the great deal we got on it. It sat in the garage until Spring, then we drove it until this week. It's going back in the garage.

So, we will be driving our trusty 1995 Honda Accord station wagon. I bought that in Hawaii and can't bear to part with it. Got a spectacular deal and it's still going strong, despite the climate change, at 100K miles!

Jeanne

Sylvia, I left you comments for Wed. night--superb recap!

JudyB, I am here and working on hanging in, but just a day late most of the time.

Jeanne

Schoolmarm, thanks for your comments on yesterday's recap and today's too. Lately I've been enjoying this telenovela so much it's hard to believe it was such a snooze at the beginning. It makes me wonder if there was some sort of executive change. Or maybe it's just the writers and performers picking up steam. Whichever, the recaps AND the comments are always a scream.

Hey all of you in rotten weather, please be careful out there especially when driving. I have customers who are truck drivers and I worry about them constantly, but according to them they are the best and safest drivers on the road so I guess I'll just have to trust them.

Cap'n Sylvia, your drivers are indeed some of the safest. I pass them routinely on my way back home from the capital and other points east in my state. (Which covers just about every inch of the state since we're as far west as it gets in our state). Your drivers are some of the most courteous and careful around. Still, no one drives all that well on ice when the wind gusts up to 50 mph as it does in the Western part of the state here.

Jeanne
