El Mundo de Telemundo: Week of Jan. 3

Hi Folks: Feliz Año Nuevo-Happy New Year!!!!

Thanks to all the commenters this past week who kept us up to date on the Telemundo novelas. If Telemundo tweets are correct (thanks Canuck Fan), Elena has only one more week to go. Let's hope so.

While we wait for next week's episodes, here are some more pics from my Argentina trip. We went to the Magellanic Penguin breeding colony at Punta Tombo on the Valdez Peninsula near Trelew. Most people think that penguins only live in Antarctica but many species live in other places. The lucky penguins in this colony make little burrows under bushes, the rest just make holes anywhere and lay their eggs.
Visitors to the colony have to walk on designated paths but the penguins can go anywhere! Here is one investigating my tripod.
On a boat trip in the Beagle Channel in Tierra del Fuego, we also saw Gentoo Penguins.
Finally, a Black-throated Mango Hummingbird in Iguazú.

Comments:
More great photos, Jean! I can't remember if I commented before, but I've been to Iguaçú Falls - from the Brazilian side - when I traveled for a month in Brazil. I went to Rio, Manaus, Foz do Iguaçú, Salvador in Bahia, Fortaleza and Ouro Preto. I loved the country and the people. Iguaçú definitely makes Niagara look like a drippy faucet!

You seem like a great photographer, tripod and all!

Loving the new bird photos!

Wow - nice hummingbird shot!

Audrey

I love the pictures too, Jean. You really do have an artist's eye. (I should have known it from the screenshots you chose for the Clon recaps.) Thanks again!

Best wishes to everyone in the new year! ¡Feliz año nuevo!

ALGUIEN

I'm not going to try to summarize the story because anyone who is interested can check out the several very detailed and clever comments posted last week on the plot developments so far. But I will offer an observation: I'm very impressed by how engaged we all seem to be in the story. We may love or hate a particular character, but I don't recall anyone railing against the writing, the acting or the continuity. And this is a tough crowd!

Most of the stuff I watch on Spanish-language tv is interesting to me BECAUSE it's in Spanish. In English, it would never catch my attention. But at this point ALGUIEN is gripping enough that it transcends its role as language lesson. I'd probably watch it if it were in English.

AURORA

Sigh. This show is a shambles. The whole viewer voting thing reeks of desperation. I understand that when a novela begins its run, not every episode is in the can. But I do assume that the arc of the story has been determined. That doesn't seem to be the case here.

And the poor actors! And in the last episode when Martín and Lorenzo had a chance to describe one another, their dialog sounded like it was coming from the mouth of a love-struck quinceañera, not two grown men, father and son.

It may be that I am just too old to appreciate what they are doing. They seem to be targeting the tweens to twenties group more and more. Now I happen to like many things that skew young demographically but perhaps the message here is pitched so high that only kids and dogs can hear it.

I may watch the show from time to time but I doubt I'll be commenting on it extensively or regularly in the future. Sorry guys. On the other hand, this page is open to your thoughts, so if you find Aurora interesting, I'd love to read about it.

GENERAL - Let me just add my appreciation as to the beautiful photos, Jean.

NovelaMaven, I agree that Alguien is so good that I watch it not just for the Spanish. There's a big contrast between Elena, which is very silly, and often leaves me yawning, despite all the beautiful actors, and Alguien, which has me on the edge of my seat. I'm also looking forward to La Reina del Sur, but not so much Los Herederos del Monte. I guess the 10:00 hour (Eastern) is reserved for the more hard hitting dramas.

GENERAL

I agree. Alguien is one of the best modern novelas I've seen. One of the best things is that no one is filthy rich and arrogant because of it. Many of the modern ones feature wealthy families with spoiled adult children. And then some young woman without money enters the picture and everyone except the galán is out to get her. I'm sick of that theme.

The characters in Alguien, except for Rodrigo, are comfortably well off. But they don't qualify as rich. Tatiana has her own business and works hard, even though her husband is a doctor. The only downtrodden servant is Yoyita, and she doesn't seem really miserable.

NovelaMaven, it's interesting what you say about Aurora. I'm in the process of deleting unwatched episodes. The main actor (forgot his name) is the reason I tuned in at all. I really liked him in Más Sabe el Diablo.

Regarding being aimed at younger viewers, my co-worker from Mexico (and daily novela conversation partner) tells me that this is the first novela her 15 year old daughter has liked enough to watch it with her. This girl is a whiz kid, perfectly bi-lingual, reads constantly, maintains an A average. But she likes Aurora!

ALGUIEN

I agree with you all about Alguien. It is really gripping and well written and executed. Can't wait to see what happens tonight.

AURORA

I tuned out two weeks ago and deleted all my unwatched episodes. I tried to watch the special voting episode this weekend but ended up deleting it after 5 minutes. I just couldn't get into it. I think I'm done with this novela. I agree that the writers don't seem like they ever had a story arc in mind and were just winging it day to day. The actors also just seem to be going through the motions. So much potential wasted.

GENERAL

Jean- Those were wonderful photos. When I was in South Africa a few years back I got up close to the penguins there and took many photos. There are penguins on Robben Island wandering around near Nelson Mandela's old cell, along with little black bunnies. They make an interesting contrast next to the white limestone quarries where the prisoners were forced to work, and the green grass that covers the island.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Great photos jean i didn't know Penguins lived in other places beside the antartic.

Aurora i'm just ROFL from both Novelera and Vivi deleting unwatched episodes ouch and too funny but sadly i agree this novela is like a hot mess right now and when i tried to watch last Thursday episode that turned me off even more.

Elena was pure fun for quite awhile i replace STUD and watched that at a later time for Elena. Sadly i don't like the way this novela is ending from them trying to stretch it out this way. For the most part it was fun and enjoyable viewing.

Alguien i am also in agreement with everyone this is hands down one of the best shows on TV right now. It's not our usual typical formulaic novela poor girl meets rich guy from an outrageously wealthy family some members of his family are snobby and evil towards her as she overcomes her poor beginnings to win his love and acceptance from his family. Here we are offered a novela that tells us the stories of four friends and those associated with them. But the main player of this novela is a serial killer and he happens to be one of the four friends. The four friends we see are people who are more realistic and easily identifiable as people we all know close to ourselves. This show is very riveting and edge on your seat can't wait for the next episode to air worth watching.

If only we could get more novelas made just like this:)

HI JEAN, THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR PHOTOS, I REALLY LIKE THEM!
I LOVE PENGUINS!!

ELENA:

So, we're in the final countdown for EDFE...and, boy, did they move pretty fast there with Dulce and Montecristo biting the dust and Ruth finally looking at the pobre dude to see it's EDUARDO!

4 more eppys to go; so that means we have to deal with gemela, get Elena off that damn boat from that slimeball, reunite the family....deal with Walter/Andrea and finish the adoption bit with Rebecca/Eduardito.

AND...I was so excited to see that the first scene of the night featured Milady and Michel FINALLY returning from the world's longest pleasure cruise (and really, M&M were waaaaay overdressed compared to the parentals/Lucia...why is Michel wearing long dark pants and a dark shirt? talk about heat stroke...) ... could someone help with what was said in their scene? The sound was cutting in and out in the stream and I was a bit distracted in the fact that they were FINALLY back on the screen.

And...of course, my excitement of seeing M&M again quickly faded as the clock ticked and it became apparent we weren't going to see them again in the hour! booo :(

re: Jesusa. It's kinda odd seeing her in civies; I know she's retired and all, but she's till pretty much doing the same things...didn't Lenora "replace" her re: job, how comes she doesn't have to wear a uniform? oh what the heck...why am I hung up on who's wearing what?

Lets see how they keep moving this along...

ELENA-
Last week!!! The premiere of Los Herederos was announced.
M&M got back from their honeymoon. Mauricio asks her and Clara's daughter to be matron/maid of honor at his wedding to Clara. Milady agrees but says that she misses her family with all the tragedy that that has happened.

Elena la tonta got on the boat with evil Mafia guy but forgot her cell phone. Apparently, she has to be present with him until the money transfer takes place.

Dulce experiences a deathbed redemption and signs the papers allowing Rebeca to adopt Eduardito. Then she dies.

Prison guy kills Montecristo on a table saw after telling him that the big boss has fallen in love with someone named Elena.

The nurse tells Ruth that the guy she found keeps talking about killing his family by blowing them sky high ('los hizo volar por los aires', literally, 'he made them fly through the air'). Even someone as slow on the uptake as Ruth becomes suspicious when the nurse tells her that the guy appears to have been the victim of an explosion. She goes into the room and is muy impactada to see that it is Eduardo.

Martin is waiting for the money transfer to come through when Rebeca tells him that Elena's baby is alive. He says that is old news.

La gemela, now in a gray curly wig, drugs the baby and says that what she has planned for its family is much worse than blowing them up.

Nena tells Martin that he should have the house surrounded because la gemela is on the way with plans to kill the baby. Martin tells them what they already know, that Eduardo is alive, too.

Ruth tells the nurse that Eduardo is her niece's husband but she can't contact her niece because she went out of town without her cell phone. Ruth says that she will tell the rest of the family because they are heartbroken ('ellos quedaron con el alma por el piso,' literally, they are keeping their souls on the floor,').

Martin tells Jesusa, Rebeca and Latoña that Ruth has found Eduardo.

Eduardo is having surgery (but not on his ears, which are covered) to restore his hearing. Ruth decides to leave him a note saying the baby is alive for when he wakes up.

La gemela has the baby in a pet carrier (!) and tells the cab driver to take her 'east.' He protests but she says in English-accented Spanish that her cat needs a kidney operation and she will pay extra. The cabbie agrees. Ana Layevska's ability with accents is, along with Nena and Anacleto, one of the very few amusing things about this novela.

Elena continues to fend off the advances of Mafia guy while waiting for the money transfer to take place.

ELENA - Monday, continues to be quite silly, with Montecristo dead (he never "saw" it coming), Dulce dying after signing the papers (no witness or notary again) turning over her son to Rebeca), and Elena's great plan. Yes, it now turns out that Ramiro Sanchez is actually HIGHER up in the mafia than El Greco, since the prisoners told Montecristo that the orders came from "arriba", or above, El Greco. This seems dumb because we never see El Greco, he's older, etc., he would normally be the real boss, but oh well.

Anyway, it looked as if Ramiro gave Elena a check for $25 Million. So then why do they need a bank transfer? And he has no cellphones or anything on the boat, but he does have a computer with wireless. Anyone heard of Skype? Guess not. So, when he transfers the money to Elena's account, that proves he's laundered the money, and Elena has taken down the mafia? Yeah, right. Besides, he said he'd cooperate with Elena (as to Montecristo) as long as she supported him (Ramiro). But since she's immediately going to turn him in, the previews make it look as if he could get mad. And shoot her. Except that the FBI is probably just waiting to rescue Elena (even though nobody knows where she is). Or maybe Laura will pop out of the sea and rescue her. Whatever, I'm sure it will be very realistic (not).

As usual, the best laughs of the evening were Gemela and her kooky disguises (and accents).

ALGUIEN - Monday

As usual, slimy but smart Julian has outsmarted just about everyone, with quick thinking about his dinner with Daniela, a little psyching out of Matilde, and his usual bipolar treatment of Piedad (whining, then aloof), which isn't really working too well. The only thing Julian messed up on was the name Daniel Vidal, which has now been uttered by a bunch of characters. Mauricio's getting close, and now I'm getting worried about Mauricio's safety. as Matilde and the cops didn't go along with his ideas, and the previews.....well, let's just see what happens.

Valeria still hasn't remembered she has that cellphone video. And it looks as if the cops DID do a drug test on Rodrigo, results due soon.

Both Tatiana and Camila are going through some stages of anger or hurt - now Camila's mad, and Tatiana may be softening (after realizing that fighting with pregnant Lola for that wine bottle was not so cool).

Lucy is so funny. But where is she going with all of this? She seems to be thinking happily ever after, they all live in the same house, but has she looked at Pedro Pablo's stares of disapproval lately? I have absolutely no idea how this subplot will work out. And that's good.

Elena

I thought Elena wasn't allowed to take her cell phone with her that's why she couldn't make a call after the transfer went through. If she completely forgot to take her cell with her what a dope.

Hombre i agree i don't know why they went through all that trouble to hide Greco's face and now we find out Ramiro is really the big boss. Montecristo what a way to go he never "saw it" hahaha good one Hombre. I expected Dulce to go the way she did but not good old Monte.

Alguien

Boy was i disappointed with Matilde but you called it Hombre i was hoping she would look.

Thank goodness Luisa relented and let Mauricio talk to Rodrigo while i do agree Hombre things aren't looking good for Mauricio from tonight's previews. The fact he at least told Luisa his thoughts on why Rodrigo isn't the killer and the connection with the name Daniel Vidal to Julian Garcia. I was screaming yes finally you're getting closer.

Benja is he for real him getting mad with Pedro Pablo bringing Loca Lucia to live with them?

I don't get where they are going with the Loca Lucia storyline either. Unless it's to expose her as not being pregnant and finally getting evidence to prove how crazy she is and to get her out of their lives for good.

GENERAL

Is it just my computer or is this week's comment area not tagged. I have had to scroll down through other recaps since it was first put up there. Please, I do not mean to sound cranky! I'm just wondering if this is an anomaly with my computer, and as the week goes on, it will be harder to find the Telemundo post.

ALGUIEN

Hombre, you and I are on the same wavelength. I'm also worried about Mauricio. He shouldn't say a word to Julián until he has more proof.

I was wondering what was going through his mind getting out his "murder tools" last night. He's way too smart to kill another woman with Rodrigo in jail and under suspicion.

Mathilde is a sap. She's showing less good sense than Piedad, who might be waking up about Julián. This is one area where Julián is not so smart. If he wanted to win Piedad, he should pretend to be very concerned about Rodrigo and maintain the fiction that he's his friend. Every time he tries to hint to her that he thinks Rodrigo is guilty, she pulls away both emotionally and physically. Once last night she actually cringed when he hugged her.

Yeah, the Lucy thing is crazy, crazy, crazy. But for some reason absolutely surreal things don't bother me as much in this novela as in others. The fruitcake also thinks she's going to have some kind of "relations" with Pedro Pablo after she moves in!

OFF TOPIC

Yeah!! Stanford won big in the Orange Bowl!!

I think I tagged it. When I click on 'Experimental Telemundo Discusssion feed' in the sidebar, I see the post. I'm a little unfamiliar with this new system so if I did it wrong, let me know.

Jean- Delicious isn't down yet, so many people are still loging on that way. It wasn't tagged on Delicious. I just tagged it there for you. Now it's on both feeds.

I don't even see the recaps for Triunfo on the sidebar is something happening to the blog or it's not been updated yet?

Thanks, Vivi, I didn't realize that Delicious was still up.

Thanks for the reply, Jean.

OK, here's what happened to me, at least at work. I was using the link that said Experimental... Worked fine up until Wednesday of last week. Then when I would click on any of those "experimental" links a window would come up asking me to "subscribe". I couldn't get past that window. I clicked that I would subscribe, hoping it would take me to a screen to do so. Never happened. I was ready to give up on Caray. Then I clicked the link above the "experimental" one - the one that just says Discussions, and it worked fine.

At least the link to week of December 27, and Carlos' excellent recap of what's going on in India both appear.

But, the same thing happens today when I click the Experimental one. Asks me to subscribe but never lets me.

OK, I now see what's happening. I'm using Delicious to read comments and post them. When Vivi tagged it there, it worked just fine

But the other "experimental" system worked just fine for me before. It now now asks me to subscribe, but doesn't give me any clues about how to do it.

Maybe Chapel Hill Fiddler knows what's going on? Or am I the only person that this is happening to. My work computer is pitifully old. Could that be it?

Anon 3:49, Triunfo is on the sidebar under STuD. It is listed as "Upcoming: Triunfo del Amor". There is only one thing you can click on under the title: Triunfo recap feed. (I imagine Melinama will be updating the sidebar this week by moving STuD down to the inactive area and deleting the word "Upcoming" from Triunfo.)

Apparently as new novelas are added, the Delicious link is being eliminated.

Novelera, I can get to this Telemundo discussion using the experimental link or the Delicious link so I'm not sure what's giving you a problem.

ELENA

He never "saw" it coming... good one.

Dulce's deathbed redemption wasn't realistic. I don't know whether that's the actress' or the writers' fault.

La gemela will probably murder the cab driver. I'm predicting more villainy in Ana Layevska's future after a showdown on the tower of the Giron residence.

Alguien

I know we still have a lot of show left but i'm praying Mauricio doesn't get caught tonight.

General: Really enjoyed seeing Jean's wonderful photos.

Also enjoyed reading all the ALGUIEN comments from the last two weeks that I missed while on vacation. I feel up to date and don't know whether I need to actually watch the episodes on Telemundo.com.

Tonight's episode with Mauricio was really scary and surprising. At first I though M. was dead when J.felt for his pulse through the black bag. I was surprised when he wasn't. His desire to keep Mauricio alive and to torture him with videos of Eva's death and his own upcoming death was shocking and surprising to me. I would have thought it would be easier to kill Mauricio and get rid of his body. Julian said something about M's taking sexual photos of Matilde, the mother of his child. Can that be the motivation for torturing and dragging out Mauricio's death? In his "hallucination" with Eva, she mentions before he killed to get even for his mother, but in killing a man he is just a vulgar murderer. (I can't remember the exact phrase she used and dont have a DVR).
I don't know whether Eva is really a hallucination or whether he is imagining her. But it is for sure that what she says is a projection of what he is feeling. Does anyone have an opinion about whether Eva is supposed to be a hallucination, or whether they are just showing what's in his imagination. I am still trying to understand him psychologically.

I agree with all the comments about this being atypical and that I would also watch it if it were in English. It is so much more than a "whodunnit." Knowing the killer early on, and watching his actions unfold and finding out about what happened in his past makes this especially interesting. By the end, we will have the complete picture.

I guess Mauricio will not escape because we are not near enough to the end.

Alguien

NJ Sue Eva is Julian's imagination/conscience talking to him whenever she hits a sore spot with him he tells her to go away leave him alone.

I was hoping the previews for last night's episode were misleading sad to say i'm wrong. I was chilled watching this episode and the music at the beginning just enhanced the atmosphere of creepy more.Mauricio should have got on that damn phone and left a message with Luisa about what he was doing. At least she was waiting to hear from him.He drugged Julian just like he did Eva and probably his other victims.Mauricio had a hidden camera while he had sex with his partners among them were Matilde and Eva and another woman that Julian killed the hooker. Eva was kind of taunting Julian that if he kills Mauricio he's straying from his motivation of killing his mother over and over again.

I have no hope for Matilde even though it look like she was having second thoughts about her decision and replaying her conversation with Mauricio in her mind.

Tatiana on the war path again tries to get back at Benja for living with Camila by calling Angel on him and accusing him again.Benja is slowly realizing how very immature and irresponsible Camila is.

Loca Lucia wore some Victoria Secret dress to dinner with Pedro Pablo and Lola. She drunk her glass of wine like it was nothing and later peeled off her dress touching her flat stomach. I'm saying this definitely now this heifer isn't pregnant at all.

Previews Rodrigo speaks to Julian calling him out on his connection to Daniel Vidal. Julian sweats, Julian it looks like he's tested for a lie detector and he sweats some more.Mauricio gets out of his bounds trying to escape as Julian sweats from his interrogation. Voice over says there's no such thing as a perfect crime and that Julian has made a couple of errors along the way.

ALGUIEN—Tuesday

I know, Blu—it looks like Julián’s carelessness will come to the fore… And I felt so scared for Mauricio. If he makes it out of trouble, maybe he’ll come to the fore, también.

My concern now is for anyone Julián deems a problem, whether they fit the profile of his victims or not. I have a sinking feeling that now anyone is game (pardon the cazador pun), especially with him feeling so cornered.

I still don’t know what it is about this TN, but it is engaging. It’s filmed almost like a prime-time drama or movie. Very realistic, cinematic, and addictive, and the Chicago touch doesn’t hurt. That’s my hometown :-)

Lucia is bananas; I still don't believe she's pregnant either.

ELENA- We slump towards the end. Another bad guy down. Ramiro, the evil mafia guy, gets arrested with no more suspense than whether he would get to put sunscreen on Elena.

Unless the hidden-face Mafia guy wasn't sloppy writing, we are down to one villain - la gemela. She is on her way while Latoña tries to make arrangements with Pancho to defend the house. Since Pancho hired la gemela in disguise, we don't have much confidence in his abilities to keep Elena Calcaño out.

La gemela and the baby manage to escape from the cab while it is in line for police check.

The ranks of the don't-knows diminish - Eduardo, Walter and Andrea get the good news about Eduardo and/or the baby. I think that only Milady and her family still don't know.

Walter tells his mommy that he has a new true love and is going to build a house for her.

That was about it.

ALGUIEN

This novela is so intense I could not watch it last night. I have seen the original production on youtube and I don't look forward to the final weeks. The actor who portrays Julian has been mesmerizing, great job by him. I think he went after Mauricio because he echoed Piedad's statement about the close scrutiny of Rodrigo's friends, he feels he has to kill while Rodrigo is in jail so that the police will believe someone outside the circle is the killer. I did think this female police officer was a bit smarter and would have had Mauricio tailed, since she witnessed how much Eva messed up.

AURORA

I almost decided to bail, but loved the cliffhanger from yesterday when Lorenzo found Natalia in bed with Gustavo. Natalia doesn't have a leg to stand on now.

Elisabeth will be getting ready to off Natalia when she finds out. Federico is going to be a bigger problem from this day forward as well.

But this business of Aurora pretending to be two people has to end pronto.

Telemundo typically shoots two weeks prior to airdate. That doesn't absolve them from mapping out a story that would make sense. The voting thing may have been part of the plan for this series but it wasn't handled well.

BG: This is also not the first novela to do this. That was Univision's Rebeca in 2003. The problem with that series was that the network hadn't decided in advance when they would announce that to the public because they also needed to find a fail-safe voting method that would prevent people stuffing a ballot box with multiple votes. Logically, they should have announced the voting element about 25% into the series. However, something unexpected happened: The viewers fell in love with Martin and Princessa's romantic comedy version of Swept Away. I suspect the writers got lazy from that point on and eventually -- after a lot of illogical behavior on Rebeca's part -- prejudiced the script in favor of Eduardo while introducing a more sensible love interest for Sergio. Voting was announced three weeks prior to the finale and you had to register on their website to vote. Their site recognizes ISPs so it wasn't possible to vote more than once unless you registered under multiple identities with multiple e-mail addresses.

And to think that Pablo could have been in Amor Real instead.

ELENA

OK, so the last three episodes will be about La Gemela. How far could she have gotten from the cab?

It makes no logical sense for a gringa to speak to a cab driver in Spanish in the US. Not to mention that the driver's vision must need to be checked for him not to notice that her face didn't match the wig.

ELENA:

The only scenes I enjoyed last night were the ones between Andrea and Rebecca--I even liked the flashback sequence (gasp, did I just say that??) ... it had a point, was "new" and really showed how far mother-daughter had come.

Ugh, the boat scenes had me gagging. So over that dude...sunscreen scenes were so....awkward.

No M&M. I felt a bit jipped as the credits that show after the entrada/first commercial with the "Hoy con" credits clearly showed the names of the actors who play Michel, Lucia (albiet, they called her Alejandra, not Alexandra) and Clara...they change these credits based on the eppy, so I was thinking--they must be on today! But, nope.

And, yes...apparently they are the only ones who don't know about the good news re: Eduardo/baby. I was half expecting M&M to walk in to talk to Jesusa while they were all toasting. no dice.

three more days...gemela time!

ELENA:

Forgot to add/ask in my last post...

How old is Andrea supposed to be?? (or the rest of the jovens?) I remember right after the Great Fire, they had a big birthday party for Andrea, and I swear I heard it was for her 25th cumple...although, maybe I misheard, because I don't think it makes sense if she's 25...esp if you have to consider Milady/Michel are older than her and they talk about University for them...

I only ask because I'm not completely sold about an Andrea/Walter happy ending. I just see Walter as waaaaaayyy toooo old for Andrea, but if she's actually supposed to be that old; than, I guess I can get over it (the actress that plays Andrea just turned 16, fyi).

ELENA - Tuesday

For some reason, I think Andrea is supposed to be 18. She just returned from her private school, now she's an "adult". I agree, Walter's too old for her, but in telenovelas they always say "love has no age".

Even though Ramiro had taken the boat far out to sea, away from all contact with the mainland, later they were just sitting about 100 yards off the shore. Whoops! And of course the FBI found them immediately.

I agree that Lucy is not pregnant. I had to replay her taking off her dress several times to make sure (scientific research, you know :)

I think Gemela jumped out of the cab because the second police roadblock guard was Gandica, who would have recognized her. The previews make it look as if she's through with the granny disguise, and has yet another wig handy. Should be fun!

ALGUIEN - Tuesday

See Lucy comment above, in wrong novela. Sorry about that.

The voiceover always makes us think that Julian has made all these errors. But it's usually a tease. He keeps getting out of things. And I think he'll continue to do this for a while. If he takes a lie detector test, he's the kind of guy who could beat it.

It's horrible what he's doing to Mauricio, but Mauricio is not totally blameless. He did tape all the women having sex. And he did break into Julian's apartment. I have little hope for him to survive, but maybe he'll be able to leave some kind of clue, or message. Julian erased all of Mauricio's computer files, but there could be backups at the News
Station where he works.

GENERAL & OFF TOPIC

TO: NovelaMaven
What is happening with the new Levy show? Comments apprear very different and there seems to be no way to post. Will future posts be similar to other Univision novelas being reviewed on caraycaray? I surely need your help in understanding the action and I miss your sense of humor, Lois

Alguien

Nellie i'm going to cut Luisa some slack because she lost a good friend in Eva and she has a emotional connection in this case along with the other policeman who are working on it. One thing she is at least now considering what Mauricio told her and she isn't as close minded as Eva was.I'm hoping once she realizes Mauricio is missing she'll be rethinking about Rodrigo being the killer.

Erin (Hypnotized Viewer) I'm thinking the same once a serial killer changes his M.O. all bets are off and anyone is fair game.

Hombre de Misterio haha i thought you would love the Loca Lucia scene i still can't figure where they are going with her plot. Unless her plan was to get into Pedro Pablo's house first as a guest and break up his marriage? I just going to watch that and enjoy the antics we do need some comic relief from the suspense and danger in these episodes.

I'm going to disagree with on the voice over tease because Julian has in fact made several errors. First putting Eva in his mother's dress, second how quickly he tried to start a relationship again with Piedad. Third telling Daniela his name is Daniel Vidal. Fourth keeping that picture of his mother in the box in his closet. Fifth the staged set up he made in Rodrigo's apartment.

He may beat the lie detector but the clues he has left are going to catch up to him at least i hope they will.I'm hoping Mauricio has backups of files and Julian only deleted the files on his laptop i don't think he took the hard drive out of the computer so those files can be retrieved by a computer expert.

ALGUIEN

I was also surprised that Mauricio was not dead. I'd like to think he can escape, but no one's ever gotten out of Julián's death cabin (except Eva, and she didn't make it far). Also, there's no indication of últimos capítulos, so unless Julián keeps him a long time to torture him, it's too soon for M to break out and spill the beans. Some of these episodes are HARD to watch. I put myself in Mauricio's shoes, imagining being forced to watch a dear friend's murder and knowing you're next.

Lucía is back to completely crazy. For a while there it seemed she might just be trying to shake them down for money. Now it seems like she's watched too many episodes of Big Love. I don't think she's pregnant either, although her flat stomach isn't necessarily the proof. Piedad isn't showing yet, either. And I think they're supposed to be around the same amount of time pregnant.

I don't know where they're going with Tatiana. It's becoming the only part of the novela I don't like, just because it's repetitive. She looked like she might be softening up last week, but now she's back to full-on witch (and that should be with a "b").

Also, I ranted last week about that dumb fiscal. I can't stand the guy. All he wants is the credit for catching el cazador and he'd lock up Mother Theresa if he had a shred of evidence (like she was in town when a murder happened).

Happy 2011 all!!!

Jean: welcome back! wonderful, colorful photos. thanks for sharing.

Aurora: I am now only interested in the Cesar scenes. everything else I >>ff>>. But Lorenzo walking in on Natalia and Gustavo indeed was a 'HA' moment.

ALGUIEN

Ditto to all you guys have said. I hope Mauricio survives too, but we know how that turned out for other people we liked on this show.

"he'd lock up Mother Theresa if he had a shred of evidence (like she was in town when a murder happened)" LOL novelera! And so true. He also wants to get into Luisa's and Tati's pants. Can't stand the guy.

I agree about Tati taking one step forward and two steps back. But anyone who's gone through a painful breakup, where there was betrayal (and how do you get a more major betrayal than your sis with your hubby), knows that this is very much human nature and a very real reaction. All her friends are telling her common sense, and in her heart of hearts she sees the truth in their advice. But she is still in the anger stage, and she is fighting hard not to fall into the grief stage (we saw bits of grief seeping in when she watched her wedding video). The grief stage hurts the most, and she will not only be grieving the loss of her husband, her marriage, and her family (because it is forever changed), but also the loss of a sister. That’s a lot of loss. And after grief will finally come acceptance.

In the meantime, she will continue to do harm to Benja, Camila, her kids, and herself (we see how out of control she is getting and that it’s affecting her health and her work). She may need to hit rock bottom (kids hating her, business suffering, and health/addiction issues), before she picks herself up and moves on. Painful and frustrating to watch (Matilda’s frustration was the frustration of the audience), but it rings true.

ALGUIEN

I meant to mention this the other day, but in Monday's episode when Julian bends down to kiss Piedad in her apt, he suddenly has a flash of killing Daniela. That hadn't happened to him before and I wondered what it meant. I have always been struck by the similarities between the two women- height, build, hair. And the one time that Rod and Daniela nearly did the bunny hop, she morphed into Piedad in Rod's mind and then he had to put a stop to things.

El Fantasma de Elena:

I think Andrea is in the 19/20 age range. The birthday party was for her 18th. birthday. That was way back when Elena and Eduardo were first together after the fire, Rebecca was just in prison, la gemela had not come back yet etc. Plus Elena was not pregnant with Tomasito yet and then that would add another nine months for the duration of her pregnancy.

They have not mentioned it but I thought Andrea was going to school (college) somewhere. She finished high school at the Paris boarding school and Rebecca was telling her to keep up with her studies when they reunited during her escape from prison with Vicky and Butterfly.

Michel graduated from college so he would probably be 22/23 ish. No idea about Milady's age though.

Elena

Andrea had her 18th birthday right after the fire and yes Rebecca was in prison with her friend Vicki for hit and run over little Eduardito. She should be 19 now since it's about a year has passed and maybe close to her 20th birthday.

Michel maybe around 23/22 like you said he is older than Milady after he found out age differences between himself and Milady he started to put two and two together that they weren't brother and sister by blood like Clara wanted them both to think that. Not sure how much the age difference is between Michel and Milady i'm think maybe a year so she maybe 20-21 years old.

ELENA:

Thanks for the clarification on the ages...I think I need to refresh my Spanish numbers (or, maybe...listen better hahah).

Here's to some M&M tonight! (not holding my breath! lol)

ELENA- Wednesday

I note that Telemundo is not even promoting an exciting Gran Finale for LFDE.

Another tame episode. M&M appeared so at least Canuck Fan is happy. I guess they were told about Eduardo and the baby off camera because they already know about it when Milady introduces Michel to Walter.

Andrea decides to leave the convent and M&M pick her up.

Walter tells Rebeca that he is in love with Andrea. She is impactada but swears that she won't interfere in Andrea's life. Andrea greets her mother when she returns home and gazes longingly at Walter but they don't speak.

Martín meets Elena at the boat and tells her the news about Eduardo and the baby. Eduardo comes home from the hospital and has a happy reunion with his family and especially Elena.

We find out that la gemela stole the cabby's cell phone. Does the crack police team locate her by triangulating the cell towers like they do on CSI or at least listen in on her calls? No. In a new disguise and with a French accent, la gemela checks into a hotel and calls Latoña to demand a $2 million ransom for the baby.

Elena, Ruth and Eduardo get the ransom ready and await la Calcaña's call to set up the exchange.

That was about it. More excitement tonight.

ELENA:

Hi Jean, thanks for the recap.

I was happy that there was M&M! Although, I'm a bit puzzled why it seems like they've been cutting scenes from the final edit (happened a few times prior, too) when they waste time with flashbacks...use the new material, puuuhhhllleeezze.

Yes, no promo of an exciting finale. I was sorta hoping some of the actors might do some interviews for the finale; but I guess it's just going to sputter to an end.

ELENA - Wednesday

Another great disguise for la Gemela. Just about everything else is wrapped up, except saving the baby. Since Eduardo and Elena are already married, do they get married again? Montecristo's dead, but didn't he own part of the hacienda? Does he have an estate? None of this really matters at this point. I guess the only wedding left would be Walter and Andrea (one of the shortest nun careers, for one of the tallest nuns).

But it's nice to see everyone happy. Chapparro complained that Gemela made her run (how rude), but hopefully there will be some big banquet at the end to cheer her up.

ALGUIEN - Wednesday

The good news - Mauricio finally escaped from his ropes, hands a little bloody (after using shards from a champagne glass to cut the bonds). The bad news - rather than try to get past Julian when he returned, Mauricio decides to kill him (can't say I blame him), but to me, Julian's a little stronger, a little more under control, so it looks bad (again) for Mauricio.

Julian's mistakes (I agree, he's made them) still keep happening, but he's generally dodging them. The detectives are very suspicious about the stepfather being named Daniel Vidal, same name as the guy whom Daniela was seeing, but they haven't made the connection that Daniel Vidal IS Julian. One interesting thing was that Julian's mother was killed by throwing her off a cliff (un acantilado)! Also,
Angel Maldonado (the fiscal, or prosecutor) now says that the stepfather (padrastro) got out of jail a year ago, so could have committed all the murders. And, in true telenovela fashion, there he is! He appears just outside of the clinic, and watches Julian go in. This is actually good for Julian. I bet he'll find a way to get the stepfather arrested as the cazador, if Rodrigo happens to get out.

Speaking of Rodrigo, despite our hopes about the drugs which we know were injected into Rod, they turned out to be a combination of cocaine and a sleeping pill (calmante), so Rod's in deep doodoo again.

ALGUIEN

Hombre, I agree with just about everything in your excellent comment. Except I was thinking Daniel Vidal turning up would be bad for Julián. True, he might be able to pin the crimes on him. But from the way he looked at Julián, I think he knows Julián killed his wife and is after him in earnest.

There is apparently one active neuron firing in the fiscal's tiny brain. He figured out that Tati will say anything to put the father of her children in jail for murder.

I was SO disappointed when Rodrigo called and called for someone to come and then asked for Mauricio. He had a flashback to someone injecting him, then he put his hand to his neck. I was thinking there might be a sign of the injection left and he'd realized it.

Alguien

I got the feeling as well that Daniel Vidal is definitely after Julian and he knew he was set up by Julian to take the fall for his mother's murder. Interesting that Julian killed his mother pushing her off the cliff.

Tatiana really was going off ready to end her partnership with Matilde who's trying to talk some sense into her.Angel at least and very surprising told her he knows she's just trying to get back at her husband out of revenge and being jealous.

Why Rodrigo do you keep telling the cops things go call for your lawyer. They didn't mention anything about alcohol in his system. Another thing Rodrigo doesn't drive i'm sure he knows how but probably because of his drug addiction he doesn't have a valid license. Shouldn't the cops think he would need to use a car to move some of the bodies around where they discovered them? Like Eva and Rocio's for instance?

Benja is just clumsy and clueless with what he said to Piedad to upset her.Well at least he's realizing that it will probably won't work between him and Camila long term.

The search is on for Mauricio, don't know why he thought he could take on Julian in the state he was he had to be weak from the drugs and not eating. If he had the chance to escape he should have took it.

Doesn't look like he will poor boy Julian not only has he got on rubber boots but a butcher man's apron.

ALGUIEN -- Wednesday

Hombre, thanks for the terrific update.

Novelera, I had the same thought about Rodrigo's apparent flashback of the injection. Traces of the injection site should still be visible to a trained eye. They need one of those CSI pathologists!

Even if suspicion is momentarily deflected to Daniel Vidal, it's hard to see how all the evidence can be linked to him -- connections with the victims, skill needed, whereabouts at the times of the crimes. Sooner or later, it will all boomerang back to Julián, but not soon enough to save Mauricio, I fear.

Blu, good point about Rodrigo not having an easy was to transport a body. Maybe the fiscal assumes he dragged it on the El.

NovelaMaven excellent point how everything will boomerang right now all the people involve with the investigation are too emotional because of what happen to Eva. Now unless Daniel Vidal is a surgeon also like you pointed out it's takes skill to cut out the hearts of those victims.

I thinking maybe the fiscal thinks Rodrigo was dragging those bodies around on the back of his bike:)

Speaking of transportation i wonder if they ever traced the owner of the black suv where Julian left Rocio's body in.

Lois,

Here's what I said a few days ago about finding the new William Levy novela, Triunfo del Amor:

Triunfo is on the sidebar under STuD.

-----------
Lois, if you can't find it, let me know, OK? It's a pretty crazy over-the-top, throw-in-every-cliche-in-the-book kind of novela. Gotta love it:)

----------------
NJ Sue - re ALGUIEN
First off, nice to see you back here!
As for Julián's conversations with Eva, I agree with Blu. They are in his head and his sense of reality -- such as it is -- is unimpaired. The only time he really seemed to experience a moment of dissociation was when he had Piedad in his arms and briefly saw Daniela as she was just before he killed her. Even that was just a flash of memory.

Whether we end up calling Julian's pathology a character disorder or a personality disorder, he never seems anywhere close to the legal definition of insanity. When he does harm, he acts volitionally and with full awareness of right and wrong.

I agree, Blu's point about transporting the body is excellent. The problem is, the police in the show don't seem to be as clever as the audience! I know that ultimately they could never pin the murders on Julian's stepfather, but I'm thinking that the dumb police and fiscal could temporarily think he's the one. They just keep arresting people, being proven wrong, over and over again. Julian keeps escaping with these goofs. But you're all correct, it's like a boomerang, and one day, it'll all come back on him. Of course, that's when he would do something desperate, like hold our characters hostage, or something like that.

It's as if the show has 3 sections. First, no one knows who the killer is. Second, WE know, but the cops don't. Third, maybe THEY find out, but he does something desperate. Of course, this last part might only be the final week or so. But this show keeps drawing me in, so much that I get disappointed each night when it ends, and can't wait for the next episode.

NovelaMaven; Thanks for your explanation. I wasn't sure what the convention was in novelas --whether we are seeing what people are imagining, or whether we are seeing people hallucinate when there are scenes like the one Julian has with Eva.

I absolutely agree that Julian, while insane, cannot be considered legally insane. Certainly he knows what he's doing, and is definitely in reality. (Unlike Rodrigo's old drug pal who is definitely schizophrenic).

I almost laughed out loud when I saw Julian in his butcher's apron. It reminded me of Sweeney Todd.

Also I'm thinking that Julian's stepfather Daniel Vidal is going to go after him. But in the end, I bet Julian will be the winner.

I find it interesting that while Rodrigo is the "hero," Julian is really the focal and most interesting character.

I think it is the opposite. In conventional novelas the main romantic couple are the heroes. But ATM was written so that the protagonist is the killer. In TM they have made Rodrigo and Piedad, the main romantic couple but this doesnt mean they were meant to be the focus. They are following the original where the four friends were the protagonists, and they all took turns at the spotlight but the killer was always the center of everything. Personally I love this adaptation because it has made the friends even more interesting than in the original. Rodrigo is a little more heroic and resilient, thus becoming a royal pain in the neck for Julian. Piedad is more likable and they have more chemistry. In fact to me the most interesting characters are in fact the most human in this novela, Rodrigo, Matilde, Piedad, Tatiana and Benja. The original was good but the characters were less likable in general.

ELENA

WOW. Somebody please do recap what gemela was going off about/saying...I tried to catch everything, but it was just too fast. Loved LOVED the "twist" of having the twins talk...man, the scenes in the foyer were awesome. Looking forward to rewatching it in the morning.

I found it hilarious that all the women in the manse were waiting around in their pjs (and high heels hahaha) and Chaparro shows up all ready to go....loved how she took out gemela at the end; she must have a good shot (unlike Pancho).

Finale tomorrow...looking at the preview; we'll get to do some ff-ing, I guess gemela doesn't die and ends up locked up in in the looney bin in that getup...so, she'll always have a chance in reigning again!

ELENA - finale minus one

OK, we had a lot of action tonight. Makes you wonder what they are going to do for Friday!

Elena, Eduardo and the police go to the place where la gemela is supposed to exchange the baby for the money. Of course, it's a ruse. An actress dressed in mourning holds what looks like those big packages of toilet paper wrapped in a blanket. When she throws 'the baby' down, she is arrested.

She must have been a pretty hard up actress to agree to a role that is not only a crime but carried a high risk of being shot.

Meanwhile, Nena has another dream and once again Daniela shows her that la gemela wants to chuck the baby out the tower window. Nena calls Latoña and convinces her that la gemela is on her way to the house.

Apparently, no one is waiting up to see how the baby exchange goes. Latoña's cries bring everyone out of their rooms in their pj's (except Chaparro, as noted by Canuck Fan). Pancho finds two of his guards dead and the lights go out so everyone knows that la gemela is in the house.

She appears on the landing of the big central staircase that is a necessary feature of every big novela house. She has the baby and the big knife. Latoña admits that she is to blame for how la gemela turned out and offers to give her life for the baby. La gemela takes the opportunity and stabs her but keeps the baby.

Nena and Anacleto show up at the same time as the ghost of Daniela in the wedding dress appears. Only la gemela and Nena can see Daniela. The twins adjourn to the tower room where they have a lengthy conversation. The rest of the family follow.

Apparently, Daniela put on Elena's wedding dress and was going to get take Elena's place in the wedding and then announce that she loved Eduardo. Then Elena threw her out the window. Daniela also reveals that Elena poisoned their adoptive parents.

Elena Calcaño has a lot of mad raving about how much smarter she is than everyone else. Finally,
Elena announces that she will stab the baby and give everyone the unforgettable memory of seeing a baby bleed to death. As she raises the knife, Chaparro shoots her from the ground.

It was a totally impossible shot from the distance and angle but whatever. There is a happy reunion of Elena Lafe, Eduardo and their baby. I hope someone called an ambulance for Latoña.

A lot of sappy stuff seems on the on for tomorrow and then it's OVER!!!

ELENA -- Finale - 1

So what else is left now? Is there another bomb to worry about? Will the ghost reappear?

If there is a DVD set coming out of this series I hope it's edited well. This series could have been so much better although it wasn't the worst I've ever seen.

NOVELAMAVEN, Ifound site and can bring up conversations. But still cannot post. Or can I? Lois

ELENA - Thursday

Latoña might actually be dead - hope not.

I guess Ruth gets her $2 million back. They were marked bills anyway, but it was funny that they left all the ladies alone in the mansion in their nightgowns, even though several people thought Gemela might be up to some tricks. When Martin saw it was a trick, he said "I knew it!" If so, why did he leave the mansion so unprotected? And those two helpers of Pancho shouldn't have been drinking on the job. I'll guess they learned their lesson.

I agree about Chapparro's amazing shot, but I was happy to see her finally succeed after being duped so many times by la Gemela.

This show had a high body count, but thanks to the very large cast, a high love connection count, too.

BTW, my cable went out, but I found I could watch the show (live) on a site called planetfools.com.

GENERAL: Lois, it looks as if you can post. The site's still working for me. Hope things work out for you.

ALGUIEN - Thursday

Another gripping, upsetting, frustrating episode, as Julian, having gotten the best of Mauricio, has him tied to a chair. Mauricio first thinks Julian is upset that his stepfather killed his mother, then realizes that JULIAN killed his Mom. He really turns the screw, verbally, pointing out how pitiful Julian is, and how eventually he'll be caught, and his little son will hate him. Julian gets the chainsaw out, and you can guess the rest. Ick. Bye, bye Mauricio.

Strangely, a little earlier, when Mauricio almost was able to stab Julian, Piedad had that telenovela connection - she felt Julian's danger, or something like that. It turns out that she's having major pregnancy problems, went to the hospital, could lose the baby, but I really think this connection with Julian was intended by the writers, which could (but I hope not) mean that Piedad might one day go to the dark side!

Benja is fed up with Camila and her partying amigas, so he goes to stay with Lola and Pedro Pablo. And Yoyita. And the kids. And Lucy, who, after Yoyita destroyed her underwear, has finagled PP into agreeing to go lingerie shopping with her. Much to Lola's chagrin. She snaps at PP, and both Pedro and Benja have to share the (very long) couch.

Rodrigo shows the doctor the spot where someone injected him, and this might help, but one detective says he could have injected himself. However, they seem to be about to transfer Rodrigo to a rehab house, rather than jail, maybe because lots of things aren't adding up in his case.

ALGUIEN: I'm comparatively new to novelas, so I am not sure about the conventions. But while I am hoping for Piedad and Rodrigo to wind up together, I don't find them --or Benjamin-- anywhere near as interesting and compelling as Julian as a character. For me, he is the "star" of the novela. As we've said before, that's what makes this novela so interesting --that we know the killer and watch in horror as he continues his spree.

Speaking of Julian -- was it me or was he naked under his butcher's apron? Kinky and wierd, and a little funny. He looked like a Chippendale dancer. I guess he was thinking ahead and didn't want to get blood all over his clothes -although I noticed that he put all those clothes in a black plastic bag when he got home.

The actor who plays Mauricio was terrific in his final scene...both the taunting part and the fear he expressed when Julian with the electric saw. I appreciated that we didn't see anything in detail.

As Hombre pointed out,It looks like Rod might get a break... And Daniel Vidal definitely spells trouble for Julian.

Elena

That was very stupid on the actress part to portray someone who kidnapped a baby maybe she thought it was a movie she was filming for real?

Pancho what in the world happened to all the ranch hands? Only two and boy you really can't shoot to save your life or Tomas. While gemela was going off at the top of the stairs as soon as Latona went towards her you had so many chances to shoot her.

Martin too at least you have experience with a gun, thank goodness for Chapparro who i thought gemela had bumped off because she did go looking for her first. Yeah that shot from where she was standing would have been difficult unless she had a high powered rifle which she didn't. But hey it's a novela huh.

Alguien

Poor Mauricio what a way to go by a electric saw.I think Julian got rid of his clothes because even if he wasn't wearing them when he killed Mauricio he might have blood some where on his body and it would transfer onto his clothes once he put them back on. This guy thinks of everything but he has made some mistakes.

Tatiana although she wasn't happy that Angel wasn't going to lock up Benja like she wanted him too. I think she took his words to heart when he told her she was a exceptional woman and only a fool like her husband couldn't see what he had.

Benja finally had enough of childish Camila and moved out when she was having her all girls party. He finally admits to Lola what a idiot he was messing up his life like he has.Lola ask him to stay because he's her only ally and she feels alone.

Lola then gives Pedro Pablo a hard time about going shopping with Loca Lucia for new undies that Yoyita destroyed. Loca Lucia gets very nasty and says she denounce Lola for her assault.

The way she keeps knocking back her wine keeps reminding me this crazy heifer isn't pregnant. Pedro Pablo fantasized about Lucia undressing at his office as he holds one of her ruined undies.

Rodrigo remembers being pricked by a needle it seems that Luisa is slowly having doubts about Rodrigo is the killer.

Matilde looks for Mauricio first his job then she goes to his apartment. She leaves a message that she is scared. If only her one functioning brain cell would tell her missing Mauricio it has to be Julian who did it?

Camila is asked by her girlfriends about being involved with her sister's husband. She doesn't like the question as she throws them all out of her house. I guess she is starting to feel the repercussions from her poor choices too.

Previews The search is on for Mauricio as Julian invites Piedad to stay with him so he can watch over her and make sure she's not alone. The real Daniel Vidal makes a appearance and tells Piedad he is Julian's stepfather. Julian cleans up and gets rid the evidence from his latest killing.

Thank you all for the awesome recaps :) I've been looking for a corner to discuss this novela. I like this novela a lot and I wish I had found this place from the beginning. However, I hope they dont extend it. At times if feels like it drags! (I am not into the Lola Lucy storyline) and since Im watching this one and India I end up going to bed way too late! I wrote before, what I meant to say is, the killer is supposed to be the star of the show, it is how the story has been written and the title of the show, tells us that (Someone is watching you) but personally I don't find him compelling or too interesting. I am a fan of Dexter, and Julian is so not Dexter! He doesnt make me feel anything (the main reason I watch telenovelas) and he is not as complex as other characters of his kind (crazy, psychopaths, villains) so he doesnt really make me think much. I think I find your discussions about him more interesting than the character I watch on TV. In this novela, I find Rodrigo the most compelling even though he is not and has never been the focus of the story. He has made me feel all sorts of feelings. Maybe he is not that complex, but he feels real and he has moved me. However, I am very much in agreement that he is not the star of the show. If Rodrigo died, the story could continue. If Julian died , the novela would be over.

GENERAL

Lois, you said --
"Ifound site and can bring up conversations. But still cannot post. Or can I?"

We're talking about Triunfo, right?
When the say the "site", do you mean the white page with the first few lines of several entries? There is a blue title above each entry and a small green arrow.

If you click on the blue or just the arrow, it should direct you to the normal CarayCaray blog page and you should be able to post the way you always have.

Does that work?

ALGUIEN; When Angel came on to Tatiana (what about his relationship with Luisa? Is that over, by the way?), and said he could be seriously interested in her, she had a look of disgust(?) or irritation(?) on her face. She definitely was not interested. After he left, she viewed her figure in the mirror and let her hair down, shaking it out. Angel helped her feel more attractive. But I would be surprised if she gets involved with Angel. But for the first time I have the feeling she will get back with Benja. Not only does he see that things won't work with Camila, ignores all the pretty young women at Camila's house, and then tells Lola that he has lost evertyhing through his idiocy, but given all the anxiety he is going through, he is turned off to sex. Ordinarily, a sexual addict deals with anxiety through sex. So I think there's hope for him, and maybe he and Tatiana can work things out --although she has a ways to go yet.

I am still wondering whether I saw correctly that Julian was naked behind his butcher's apron when he killed Mauricio. Did anyone else notice that?

Alguien

NJ Sue, I think he was indeed naked :)

Alguien

I think Angel hits on any attractive woman who comes into his hemisphere as for Tatiana and Benja getting back together i seriously doubt that. While she was softening a little bit in her stance with him after watching her wedding tapes. Once she learned he was staying at Camila's place she went on the war path again. That marriage is heading towards divorce and i don't know if she ever let up on trying to get back at him for his affairs especially with her cousin and her sister.

ELENA:

Wow. ok...that finale left me kinda...meh. I mean, I'm happy that Elena and Eduardo are happy with their kids...

Speaking of their kids...but boy did they age fast...blink of an eye, and they were bigger! Come back from a commercial, and again they're bigger...I didn't catch the daughter's name...that 2nd pregnancy was sooo quick. I'm pregnant >> labour >> baptism >> toddler.

Loved all the horses in the episode--definitely call back to the beginning.

Happy to see Laura show back up--what did she say in her update with Elena? (I'm surprised she wouldn't know all of this prior...ya know; talk on the phone, send an email...)

Liked how they tidied up Walter/Andrea--so he went off and got into some type of business??

Wished we got more of a glimpse of Milady and Michel (surprise surprise, coming from me hahaha)...would have loved to have seen them in the future--maybe give Jesusa a nieto or something. ANYTHING! :p

So gemela is dead? Are ppl allowed to keep patients (albeit crazy person) in conditions like that???

Hhhmm...still need to sit on this.
