La Verdad Oculta EP116 03/01/2011 – Taken

* Yolanda visits her onetruelove Mario in the Genovés villa but she meets Faustiago who confesses her everything, the accident that wasn’t an accident at all and the scam Mario invented. When Yolanda realizes Mario didn’t know she was in love with him she freaks out, but later she praises Fausto’s acting skills and apologizes for everything she did. He forgives her, he believes she’s already paid for everything.

*Mina calls Alejandra who’s spending the day with her husband in the Genovés’s garden to tell her she has to go to the design studio because one of their clients is a disgruntled brat.

* After stealing a van Édgar calls Adolfo to tell him he has gifts for him, can he hear the crying of the waitresses? Adolfo’s head over heels and tells his favourite little goon they’ll meet in the warehouse. Then he calls Dante to tell him they already won the war.

* There must be a congress in the Genovés hall because virtually everyone (Fausto, Yolanda, Dora, Jorge, Asunción and Abelardo) spend the afternoon there. Slowly the family realizes the Guillén girls disappeared a long time ago, and when David arrives at home and tries to call Gaby she doesn’t answers the phone.

* The young, naked coyotes are enjoying the afternoon and the afterglow in the bedroom when Adolfo storms into the flat. When he sees his wife and his son in bed, he tells Bertha he’ll divorce Bertha and she will get nothing! It doesn’t matter, says the girl, she doesn’t want his money anymore.

* Carlos visits the Genovéses and learns his sisters have disappeared. Yolanda asks him to take her home and the muñeco confesses to her they told Adolfo she was kidnapped. WHAT?! They know what his father is like, what if Adolfo kidnapped the girls to take revenge? Oh, and by the way, Mario is dead. Totally. Long story.

* Adolfo arrives at the warehouse and when he sees the frightened, tied women he burst out of joy and kisses both Édgar and Valentín. The boys and the girls start to realize Adolfo’s getting crazy. A few minutes later Dante and his gorillas show up, too, and laugh at the Musketeers’ and their women’s misery.

* Leonardo storms into the hall of the Genovés villa and asks the family about Julieta’s whereabouts. When he learns about the crazy kidnapping plan his head explodes and informs the pumpkin plantation that Ávila got Hernández murdered and he probably has their woman, too. And you provoked this! David quickly calls Juan José.

* Leo and half of AFI break into the Ávila condo but unfortunately it’s empty. Leo sends Ramón to Dante’s house and tells him to arrest him and his gorillas.

* Valentín and a goon show up in the design studio, they knock both women out with chloroform and put Alejandra into a box. While Juan José is driving through the city and tries to call Alejandra, Mauricio walks into the studio and finds unconscious Mina on the floor. He wakes her up and when worried JJ arrives they tell him Ale has been kidnapped.

* In the meantime Valentín and his little friend deliver another gift to Adolfo: blindfolded Alejandra. Gaby and Julieta tell Adolfo he’ll pay for his crimes but he’s way too sure of himself. He tells Dante they can’t return to their homes and offices but they don’t have to worry, either, they have their own life insurances.

*After frightening everyone at Sagitario to death, Leo visits Yolanda to ask her about the girls’ disappearance. She doesn’t know anything, honestly, and unfortunately she doesn’t remember the place where she and the kids were locked up.

* Adolfo tells Dante they’ll have to leave the warehouse, surely Zaida will tell the police about its whereabouts. They need another headquarters. What about the seaside house? No, Carlos knows about it. First let’s put the women into a van and they can find out a solution later. Well, Édgar isn’t happy to leave the warehouse since his treasures are hidden inside a container.

* A hysterical and loud JJ storms into the study and tells David Alejandra is kidnapped, and Adolfo surely has Gaby and Julieta, too! That man is crazy! But it was their fault because they pushed his buttons too hard. But they have to use their brain and find out a solution.

* Dolphie, the Demented calls his sweetheart Yolanda and begs her to find a new hideout. She has fifteen minutes.

* In the meantime Ramón visits Elsa to ask a few questions? He only wants to talk? No more arresting? No, but the police needs her help.

* Lucha, Asunción and Chicles are about to leave when the little boy overhears David’s and JJ’s conversation about the tons of warehouses in Mexico. It’ll be very hard to find their women. At home he tells raging, desperate JJ he knows exactly where that specific warehouse is.

Question of the day: what will our genius do?
1% call Leonardo
2% call David
2% call Carlos
95% go to the warehouse with Chicles

Good evening. :-) Here are the You Tube links for Episode 116:

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

Thanks for the links Jeri!

Aribeth: However did you capture that shot? Most excellent. I cannot wait to read the recap.

It's official. Adolfo has crossed over the threshold into madness. JJ, David and Carlos will rue the day they took that picture! Did they really think they were any kind of match for the cunning, nefarious Adolfo? Ack.

Gabi should never have gone off but she's been treated like a child, lied to and manipulated. My biggest worry is for the baby.

When Adolfo found Bertha and Carlos and furiously declared she would be divorced without a dime, I saw a gamut of emotions. Carlos looked defiant but Bertha looked regretful. Her facial expression did not match her assertions the money didn't matter! She was clearly unnerved at the thought of losing the fortune.

The self-congratulatory,malevolent posse's delight in Gabi, Juli and Ale's plight was nauseating. I found the entire warehouse scene very sinister and upsetting.

Now, the only positive note. Does our loveable scamp Chicles have an idea where the girls are??

Diana

Good morning, Diana. :-)

Aribeth has been on vacation, so that's my screen cap and title today.

She's supposed to be along to give some discussion topics at some point, IIRC.

Adolfo is looking pretty mentally disturbed, isn't he. Who do you all think will kill him? Or do you think it's possible he might not die?

My money is on Leonardo; he has the oldest score to settle with Adolfo, suspecting him of the murder of his wife and parents.

It would be a nice ironic touch, though, if Dora killed him in defense of David -- if Adolfo is David's father.

Édgar's really looking sinister; does anyone hold out hope that he did not in fact kill Susana? I can't picture how they could fake the corpse's dental records, but I guess some snafu or subterfuge is not impossible.

Oops! I just found the title and picture Aribeth left last week. My apologies.

So, blog edited; thank you, Aribeth.

Jeri, wonderful pictures and titles from both you and Aribeth.

Who will kill Adolfo? Interesting question. I do think he will die (too many dastardly deeds). But, at who's hands? I think it may be Dante or Édgar. However, you may be right. Leo is somewhat possessed himself, acting fairly crazed with grief and is clearly in panic mode.

Jeri, one of my biggest hopes is that Édgar did not kill Susana! I don't know he would have managed it, but I am keeping hope alive it happens!

Also, the one chink in Édgar's armor is children. If he finds out Gabi is pregnant, that may also have an effect on the outcome.

So much fun to speculate! I'm beside myself that there are only 4more episodes! Ack.

Diana

Good morning!

I think Chicles will shoot Adolfo! No, es una broma! The two candidates are, in my opinion, are either Edgar - Valentin or Leo. Both Dante and Adlofo are “dissing” Edgar and Valentin in covert and overt ways. The henchmen might lose it after a while. We know that they are not the loyal employees that Adolfo hoped for. Then again it might be Leo in attempt to avenge the death of his family. We still know very little about that part of the story even though we are so close to the end. My real wish is that JJ keeps his big pistola at home and stays out of the action. There is no telling what he will do without Ale to advise him!

Diana, I too thought about the fact that Gabi is pregnant, we are sure Edgar would be hard pressed to harm a child, even one that is unborn.

Great cinematography with both Adolfo and then Dante breaking through the bodega doors back lit like Bruce Willis in Die Hard! Well done!

Yes, Adolfo is completely falling apart. Please, don’t have Yolanda co-operate with his hotel room request for even a minute!

Margaret, did you see Kate d C in Ramona? I liked La Mentira too!

Sandy: "I think Chicles will shoot Adolfo!" I'm still laughing!

Diana

Karen, are you out there? I've missed seeing your comments. Have you been watching? If not, I hope you'll get to see these last few, precious episodes! I'm sure we will be in for a few surprises near the end!

Diana

I could hardly believe my ears to hear Santiago confess Mario was dead to Yolanda. She'll probably tell Adolfo.

Adolfo has fallen off the apple cart. He has totally slipped into madness and is taking Dante, Edgar and Valentin along with him. It looks like the writers are gearing up for some crazy fireworks at the end of our novela.

Chicles shooting Adolfo! LOL! Chucho Chicles to the rescue.

Jeri, I couldn’t believe that Fausto told Yolanda about Mario as well. Yolanda has a lot of decisions to make, she is holding the keys to the financial kingdom. I’m fuzzy on this, did Adolfo officially disinherit Carlos? I know he said he planned to and therefore the short marriage to Bertha, but later he said that he planned to give money to Yolanda.

When is the magical year up? Who gets the goods if both die before the end of the year? I’m glad we have fiction writers helping us out on all this, the legalities of this situation would take years for lawyers to figure out.

What are “our” thoughts on Dora and Limon? I just couldn’t see it, but stranger things have happened.

I keep thinking what an incredible job Julio Aleman has done. I just can’t get over it. EY is a good actor, and most likely a nice person, BUT, this has been Julio’s novela, hands down. Of course, in any award competition, Julio’s would be considered a supporting role, not starring and they wouldn’t go head to head.

Sandy, I don't think you'll find a bigger EY fan anywhere (except maybe for Jeri :)), but I agree Julio Aleman has been stellar. And as I am being totally honest here, I think Gabe Soto came in a clear second.

Diana

Looking forward to the recap Aribeth. What a nailbiter this episode was. The terrified looks on Gabi's, Juli's, and Alex's faces had me definitely worried for them and what Dante, Adolfo, Edgar, and Valentin would do to them.

Just as I suspected, Leo hit the roof when he found out about the superfriends dumb plan with the doctored photo. He will go to hell and back to find Juli.

I hope Yolanda does the right thing and tells Leo or even Carlos about Adolfo's phone call. She knows he will probably kill the women so she needs to speak up.

I'm thinking Chicles is going to tell JJ about the warehouse since he probably memorized that place from when he, Yolanda, and Caramelo were held there.

I was shocked when Adolfo busted in the Carlos bedroom and found him and Bertha in bed. So now Bertha says she doesn't care about the money when Adolfo said he wasn't leaving her a dime. We'll see.

Wanted to add I too was surprised that Fausto told Yolanda about Mario's death. She could very well mention it to Adolfo the next time he calls her.

Wow, that WAS some kinda scene when Adolfo burst into the bedroom, wasn't it, LOL!

He tried to act cool about it, but he was surprised.

Adolfo was never going to leave Bertha (or Carlos) with the money anyway. Just my opinion.

Oh, yeah; I think Adolfo intended to leave Bertha some money, if things had gone as planned.

There was a time when he very much wanted a friend to keep him company in his old age; and he always liked Bertha, and she him.

Seems like Super Sleuth, Chicles, may save the day, since he whispered to J J that he knew the way to the bodega He just needs his Groucho glasses with a Sherlock cap or a cape. Let's pray J J, Carlos, David and Chicles talk to Leo and don't attempt their own rescue. Sheesh.

Leo has to be the hero in the end so, hopefully, he will capture or kill our now Nutty Adolfo. Or maybe Edgar will redeem himself, killing the baddies if they are about to kill the ladies. I hope women and children are still off limits to him. But he and Valentin did kidnap the women, themselves, for Adolfo. So maybe not.

It seems Yolanda has to make a crucial decision. Will she follow Adolfo's request to find a place to hide the women or follow her conscience and love for Carlos and reveal his request to Leo? We still don't know why she loves Adolfo though we've speculated on that.

Finally, I think it's funny that the cliffhanger was our Super Sleuth Chicles revelation. His atoryline is fitting into the culmination and was there for a purpose, I guess. Well, in tonight's episode we may see if he does really remember the way to the bodega.

Hi all!

I was not surprised that Adolfo caught Carlos and Bertha in bed. As soon as the doorbell rang I knew it would be him. What surprised me was that Adolfo didn't kill them both right then. Maybe he figured disinheriting Bertha would be more cruel than killing her. However... I wish he'd include Bertha in the party at the warehouse. I think she rightly deserves to be part of the "fun".

I agree that Chicles knows where the girls are. But if the 3 Mouseketeers race off without telling Leo I will scream.

I forgot to add this to my earlier comment, did anyone else notice the potential for two new relationships that was added? Mina and Mauricio and Elsa and Ramon?

Thank you Jeri for the links.

It was so satisfying to see Leo let off all that steam at the 'supergroup' and their dumb ideas.

Love it, Chicles to the rescue. He is the smartest of the whole lot, second after Leo of course, lol.

Bertha got busted. I agree, when she said to Adolfo that she didn't care about the money, she didn't say it with a lot of conviction.

This is Yolanda's chance to do the right thing against Adolfo. She must now know that he has gone too far and he has to be stopped.

xlntperuvian - Mousketeers, lol. Spot on.

Sandy, I have not seen Ramona, only a few videos on youtube. But I have seen Kate dC in Bajo la Misma Piel and the movie Under the Same Moon.

Margaret

xint, yes to both. I thought there was a definite spark with Ramon and Elsa. Hope you're right on both counts.

Diana

xlntperuvian, Elsa and Ramon, hmm yes, I can see them together. I like your thoughts.

Margaret

Hello Everyone! Thanks Jeri for the tube links. Carlos has really disappointed me. How could he hurt poor Mina that way. Granted he didn't plan to, but Bertha is a witch who doesn't need second chances. Is she ever going to get her just rewards for all the selfish things she has done? I sure hope so. Adolfo is loosing it. Kidnapping the girls is only going to bring him more problems. Leo and the "awful three" will not let him rest until they get their loved ones back. Is he avenging Yolanda or just pissed at the whole world? I don't get Dante's part in this? I hope Aribeth enlightens us soon with her excellent recap. Thanks in advance.

Hanna

Great idea, Xlnt, pairing Elsa and Ramon and hope Mina and Mau are a couple since they have a lot in common. And Mina was smitten with Mau before. Mau open your eyes.

LOL...Mousketeers, Xlnt.

GinCA

Hanna, I was wondering why Dante was going along with Crazed Adolfo as well. Maybe he is planning to double cross Adolfo and the guys in the end and take everything as he has a few thugs left to take care of them. Does Adolfo have anyone left? LOL.

GinCA

Regarding who will kill Adolfo, I think it would be poetic justice if it was "Mario". I don't know how they will do it but I have a feeling that "Mario" will have one last curtain call.

For me this TN can't end without finally giving the real Mario the memorial service he deserves.

Dante needs to cut himself loose from Adolfo really quickly because Adolfo has lost it and is getting them both in deeper trouble.

The police have Dante tied to Adolfo, so whatever happens to Adolfo happens to him. They might as well pool resources now; and Dante hopes to share a lot of money in ransom.

I thought Bertha was being truthful when she told Adolfo she didn't care about the money any more.

Didn't really see any spark between Ramón and Elsa, but he's the only unattached male of her age left. And they did have that nice shirtless bedroom shot of him. I guess it could happen; but what do they have in common?

Definitely it's on between Mina and Mauricio, especially after they made it be him so solicitously tend to her after she got etherized.

Thank you, Jeri!

Good evening, ladies.

I spent the last days in a great wellness hotel and the vacation was great at the beginning. But I caught the f***** flu on the second day, since then I have fever and play Santa Regina on Luzbel. Without the nun outfit, of course. Therefore this recap is just a short summary.
I haven't read the previous recaps and comments yet, but I'll do it tomorrow. I'm very curious about them.

My only problem with a new romance is that it's episode 116. Four-five episodes to build a relationship? Way too short. Even if Mina always found Mau attractive.
But they were cute.

Ok, recap is up; thanks, Aribeth!

They won't have time for new romances, but the promises of some are usually enough to sustain us.

P.S. Feel better fast, Aribeth!

Thanks Airbeth! Feel better. I loved the choices at the end. I agree that JJ will likely do the least smart thing. LOL!

I go with the 95%, Aribeth. Too funny. Hope you feel better soon and enjoy the rest of your vacation. Thanks to you and Jeri and Vivi for all you've done to make watching LVO such a great experience.

GinCA

Aribeth, so sorry to hear you are ill, especially on your vacation! Feel better soon!

How nice of you to do this amazing recap. The pictures were sensational! So many wonderful lines but my favorite was "Adolfo’s head over heels and tells his favourite little goon they’ll meet in the warehouse" and of course, your poll question had me laughing out loud! Of course, we all know the answer but it was such a clever way to pose the question.

I'm beside myself with the grim turn this storyline is taking. I really fear for Carlos as well as the poor girls. Ack.

Aribeth, thanks for doing this despite being under the weather. You are the best!

Diana

Aribeth, thanks so much for the terrific recap and photos. Love the survey. You're a real trooper to do this through the flu. Hope you feel better soon.
