My DVR flaked on me last night. I had too many shows and apparently there wasn't room to record. I'll be looking for the eps on Youtube, then I will come back here to discuss!

Missed the part about Tere's thoughts of punishing Arturo for having Paloma in the project... and we know how vindictive she can be.
 

No worries Emarie. We all had the same impulse. I enjoyed these episodes because they showed that things don't always go Teresa's way. I will also really enjoy seeing her reaction when Mariano snubs her when she returns. I hope this is the last straw for him. I will lose all respect for him if he goes back to being her puppy dog when she tries to spin some new lie.

I think that had Aurora loudly proclaimed ther Mariano is a DOCTOR, it would have come off wrong. It would have seemed that she is only hanging out with him because he has moved up the food chain. The truth is that she would be with him whether he was still a taxista or a doctor. And she and he don't need to justify themselves to Aida and Paulo. Let them find out Mar is a doctor when they are bleeding in the street and he's the only one capable of saving them.

I'm really worried for Luisa. When Ter eventially breaks Art's heart, Paloma will be there to pick up the pieces. Aurora will be there for Mariano. But when Fernando eventually breaks Luisa's heart (and likely because of Ter), who will be there for her? Where was that nice boyfriend she had a few years ago? He needs to come back. I don't think he had a chance before when he was competing with the memory of her childhood crush Fernando. But I think he would after she has experienced the reality of having her heart broken by Fer.
 

Yeah, what happened to that guy? Was his name Ramon? He was very nice.
ITA, Vivi, so want to see Mariano snub Tere...need ringside seats to that! You are right, glad Aurora didn't make an issue of Mar being a doctor, that will come later.
Aida is a hopelessly snobby.
 

Okay, so I think I saw most of the two episodes--muchas gracias for the recaps!
Ooh, things are getting interesting. Fernando is in fact richer than Arturo, and now Teresa knows this.
I liked the scenes of Mariano and Aurora in the club! They looked like normal people, very very far away from the Tiburoncita and her carnage--well, until DRUNK Aida and Paulo showed up.
I was surpised thatt Rubigote was willing to quietly get him into rehab. I understand it was for selfish, scandal-less reasons, but it was still a surprise to hear. And nice to hear.
Ah, Paloma is back. It seems in the last few years she has grown more of a backbone, probably because her guilt isn't as strong? Plus she knows there is something fishy about the Tiburoncita.
 

Anon207, Vivi, and Emarie thank you all for providing the summary of what happened in last night’s show.

Teresa is finding out that she doesn't have Arturo wrapped around her finger like she thought. Paloma is definitely showing that she will fight for Arturo and Mariano's eyes are finally opened to who Teresa really is. Maybe now he will start to see Aurora in a completely new way. The sparks definitely flew when Teresa and Fernando met. I'm worried that Luisa will be hurt since Fernando couldn't really conceal his attraction for Teresa and she was definitely interested when she found out he's got more money than Arturo.

Looking forward to watching Mariano diss Teresa. That will be a Kodak moment for sure.

Teresa really told a whopper telling Arturo that she was a virgin. I felt sorry for him. He was truly hot and bothered. I bet he took the world's longest cold shower with all that pent up tension.
 

Just started watching Teresa this week! So. . .how many years ago was it that Paloma and Arturo were together? And if Teresa was also in the mix, how old is Teresa supposed to be now?
 

Thank you so much Anon207, Vivi and Emarie for helping me out. I was channel surfing again so I missed bits here and there so I do appreciate being filled in with your snappy recaps. I did see Fern and Luisa and Art and Tere on that yacht smooching. There were so many hormones in the air, if they had been in an enclosed space it would have exploded. Pooor Art ain't getting any soon or never from Teresa. Fernando maybe cause he has mucho dollars. Didn't know Teresa flew first class but saw her reveling in that beautiful ocean front room in Cancun. She is soo horrible. Hopefully, Hot Prof will be dumped soon and he will get back his credit card but with that humongous balance on it.

Emarie, I would like to read part 2 if it is ready or you have the time. All the recaps are entertaining and informative. Love them. Thanks.

I think most of episode 2 has been included, but I also missed about the last 20 minutes and want to know what happened. By the time I get home I'll bet someone else will have posted the last 20 minutes. Anyone up for that?

Paloma ditched Arturo just before they were supposed to get married; I think it was 14 years ago now. Teresa wasn't on the scene back then; Luisa was only 11 years old and their parents had just been murdered.

Arturo hadn't even seen Paloma for many years, then she reappeared and Teresa told her that she and Arturo were married and expecting a baby to keep her away from him. This was way before Arturo and Teresa were even dating, she was just his assistant and student.
 

Thanks for summarizing, everyone. I don't remember the details of what happened at the end. The big thing in my mind is that Mariano REALLY needs to work on controlling his anger. Aurora's right to be afraid when he gets ragey. I'm glad he's finally talking about moving on but I wonder how long that will last.

I'm looking forward to Mariano dissing Teresa, and also to Arturo ripping that credit card out of Terror's greedy claws. I'll probably have to wait awhile for that one, though.

And another thing: Luisa is rich. Why was she wearing the SAME bathing suit on the yacht as in the tabloid pictures? Glad to see she FINALLY bought another one later on in the episode.
 

LOL! Anon207, she actually has three of them: a turqouis, a red, and a purple. They all are a similar syle- one piece halter. They can't compete with Teresa' itsy bitsy teeny weeny striped bikini. I did like Teresa's who beach ensemble- striped bikini, matching off the shoulder top, white linen wrap pants, and sun hat.
 

Luisa just isn't quite the clotheshorse Teresa is. I'm sure three bathing suits is plenty for her...she'd generally always have a dry one available to put on, so why buy more? Back in the city, she seems to favor simple dresses and probably doesn't mind wearing the same ones repeatedly; in fact that makes for less clutter, so all the better. It suits her simple, nongreedy character. I like how Luisa is looking at the beach; she really has a glow. The only thing I don't like is the terrible pants they keep putting her in. They really don't flatter her, which is a shame because she's so pretty.

Vivi - ITA w/you regarding Luisa. I hope her old bf comes back or they bring someone new one to help her heal. Also thanks for the laugh about you sacrificing yourself and taking Ter's place with el Profe.
 

I did get some names wrong in my mini-cap; me culpa.
Does anyone else think that Luisa and Arturo's parents being murdered will turn out to be the work of someone in our cast of characters, there is not too many old enough, but I can think of one candidate...
 

We saw the murder in flashback. I didn't recognize the guy but maybe he will turn up again, or will have been hired by someone we know. I can think of a few candidates.
 

Arturo/Luisa's parents were killed "11 or 12 years ago" when the show first started.

Luisa is older than Teresa but not by much. Luisa was 11 when everything went down and I heard Arturo was 24, so Luisa was probably 22 when the show first started and Arturo around 35.

Teresa was just graduating from high school, and Teresa, Aurora, Aida, Raul and Paolo were all in the same class so all of them were around 18.

Mariano had quit college so he's probably around the same age as Luisa.

Three years have gone by since the beginning of the show so:

Teresa, Aida, Aurora, Raul & Paolo = around 21/22 years old.

Luisa/Mariano: around 25, 26 years old

Arturo/Paloma/Fernando: around 38 years old.

What cracks me up is when people discuss Arturo's age (Teresa included) they act like he is 75 years old going after Teresa. I am pretty sure the age gap between Teresa/Arturo was no greater than the age gap between Ruben/Esperanza and quite frankly there seems to be a similar age gap between Esperanza and Dr. Ledesma the Younger.
 

Everyone was great filling in. Nice eye candy moments last night, so I would personally like to thank the writers, driectors and producers for those moments of gratuitous shirtless hunks across my screen. I had had a bad day at work, and that was definite pick me up.

And Vivi, "I would gladly help Ter out here by stepping in for her. I’m unselfish like that." - Right there with you. Of course, if Tere really wanted Arturo rapped around her little finger...he's already getting exasperated with her.

But then again, she may play both sides of the coin and make a side play for Fer as well. We know she has no scruples, and friendships only go so far with her if her own goals are in the way. Poor Luisa. I agree with everyone - but we always have that very trusting woman who's heart get stamped on, but does often get someone in the end. Who knows, it may even be Fer after all is said and done.

So want Mariano to move on with Aurora. (Those flashbacks wer interesting - he even looked thinner and younger.) But I agree with the temper...hope it doesn't come back to haunt him somehow. And for that matter, Artie has a pretty nasty one himself. Must be Teresa bringing out the worst in our galans. :)
 

I'm there with you Emarie. I think the haunting deaths will come back and the real reason for it will be revealed...
I agree with Karen, Vivi, you're "I'm unselfish like that" line was awesome and made me chuckle, right after I called next in line.

I would like to take a moment to truly appreciate Dr. Ledesma (the Younger). What a great guy! He and Hector the Director are my favorite men in this. Ok, so they aren't eye candy, (I also thanked the tn gods for all that shirtless hunkiness last night), but I far prefer a nicely put together, smart, kind, levelheaded (listen up Mariano and Arturo) man.
 

Was it in one of the Anne of Green Gables books that one of the characters said, "It's too bad you can't have two husbands; one to look at and one to talk to" or something like that? I agree with you, though, Vivi. Looks fade but destructive rage episodes can last forever.
 

Anon, I think Tere, et al were finishing college not high school. You need a college degree to get into law school. So I think you need to add 4 years to everyone's age.

I hope Luisa doesn't end up in Esparanza shoes. I can just see Fer flying off to his next conquest.

Now we know why Juana will not marry Cutie, too bad she will not tell him.

Aida is just plain mean and probably has been her whole life. Everyone is beneath her or so she thinks. Just wait until the big fall. Mariano will probably be the one to save Paulo from a drug OD.

In Mexico, law is an undergraduate program. You don't need another degree first. Teresa et al were just finishing prep school when we met them.
 

No, at the beginning of the show Teresa & Crew were just finishing HIGH SCHOOL. There was much angst and hand wringing about where Teresa would go to college:

The gov't school she could afford

or

Universidad del Sur, where all the rich folks went to school, where shoulders are rubbed, backs scratched but offered no scholarships

I don't know how it works in Mexico but I haven't heard Mariano, Teresa, Aida etc. say a thing about med school or law school.

Aurora is apparently a freshman b/c she went to Paris for 3 years.
 

Rosemary- I wish Juana would tell Cutberto too about her inability to have children and let him decide for himself. By courting a woman in her late 30s, early 40s, he's got to know the chances are slimmer anyway.
 

Cutberto wants children, and it seems Juana would like to have them, too, but I don't think we've ever heard him insist that they produce them themselves. Why wouldn't they consider adoption? Juana really should at least tell him what is holding her back. Maybe she's just afraid to hear him say that it's a dealbreaker, but I don't think he would.
 

Julia, Wiki states that a law degree (Licenciado en Derecho) is a 5 year program. When my in-house counsel gets home, I will check with him. This group needs to be older or my beanie needs a new lining.

Jarocha told us that it's typically a five-year program, but can be done in four years by taking summer classes. If we assume Teresa and her frenemies did that, then we either had more time before and after the three-year jump than it seemed like, or that 3-year number was well rounded off, or we need to tighten our beanies. Anyway, I don't think Teresa is older than 22 or so.

BTW my word verification is "realcara"...i.e. what Arturo is going to see on Tiburoncita one of these days, and it's going to give him a real scare.

OK - who decided Sebastian needed to remove his chest hair!?!! The man has gorgeous chest/ab hair. Denuded like that he looked he has a teenager's belly.

The scene where Teresa got a first class ticket was hilarious. She loudly protested at the ticket counter when some man "cut in line". The clerk explained that it was his privilege because he was flying first class. Her reaction - "Oooooo! Well then, give me the best ticket you've got!" LOL!

Guys with physiques like that look better without body hair. Eugenio Siller is the only reason I'm still watching Aurora.

How many bikini bathing suits did Tiburoncita acquire during this trip? It looked like she had three new ones per day.

If she decides to jilt Arturo for Fernando for any reason she is not only out of her mind she will be risking her life. Arturo's hair-trigger temper can only take so much.

Let's see how much it's provoked by the credit card bill he'll get in another few episodes. The fish odor will be intense.

Juana should definitely aim for Hector the Director. She deserves a break. And I'm totally on board with Esperanza and Dr Ledesma.

I was shocked that in the boat scene they actually had the sails up and they looked fairly well trimmed. They almost never do that in these shows.
