Sorry I'm late today. Blogger was being uncooperative.

Thank you, Carlos, for today's picture. I'm eager to see what kind of captions are suggest for this one.

The first thing that comes to mind is : ''Peek-a-boo.'' I was just thinking that being a lackey for Diego must be one of the worst jobs ever. Holding the chamberpot while he heaves or pees....ewww. Note to self : I will never complain about my job again. I have to watch this episode so I can comment on it.

Second attempt : ''Two-faced.''

"Two-faced", that's the first thing I thought of too. I'm just watching the episode now. I hate it when pesky life gets in the way of my telenovelas, harrumph.

"you know you love me"

Chuchi

"...and my unibrow."

I'm too late for the caption contest, but...

"They can never know the secret identity of... Captain Manhandle!"

I thought it was funny that Victoria said she doesn't like Isabel. Pure jealousy at Isa's relationship with Marina. She should be grateful to Isabel for treating Marina so well.

I had one question though after La Poderosa said that baby Diego (really baby Luis) looked just like his dad, and baby Luis (really baby Diego) looked just like his dad. Which is why it was so odd to her that Luis looks so much like his "uncle" the late Conde as a grown man, instead of like his "father" like he did as a baby. Now she wants to see Diego to see if he also looks like his "father" the lat Conde.

I am assuming that once she sees Diego, she will find that he looks, not like his "father" the late Conde, but instead like a man he has NO blood relation to (the husban of his aunt). She will thus solve the mystery.

My question is, if Diego does look exactly like his real father, why doesn't Isabel notice? That man was her brother, afterall. Wouldn't she notice if Diego looked like her brother? She certainly notices that Luis looks just like his "uncle", her one true love.

And I think the picture of Diego with the mask is perfcet for my question that came from this episode. "The Many Faces of Diego"

What will seeing his face tell La Poderosa about his true origins?

Vivi, I was thinking something very similar. I can see Isabel not thinking twice about Luis' resemblance to the count, but if Diego looks like her brother... hmmmm.

La Poderosa seemed very interested that Agustin is Esperanza's daddy. That Agustin must have really gotten around.

Antonio came out of the closet in the last scene. His friend didn't even blink... just took a thoughtful sip of his wine.

Carlos

Agreed. Isabel is so shrewd. She has commented that her sweet Luis looks like his ''tio'' the count, so you'd think she would notice if Diego resembled her brother. Therefore, we have to assume that Diego resembles Juana which is plausible because the actor and actress do actually look like they could be related. This is a novela so no one can be smart enough to unravel the twisted plotlines too soon. However, Team Luis are putting their heads together. P.S. I liked all the captions .

Is anyone going to watch the new 9 pm novela ? It looks interesting , and I noticed many familiar faces including Crabiella from FELS and the Jade from El Clon. Mark Anthony and the Jade actress sing the theme song.

Susanlynn- Fuerza got started last night, and I am one of the recappers, so of course I'm going to watch. Another familiar face from Fuerza is the actor who plays Luis' mentor Felipe in Alborada.

susanlynn,
That is not Gabriela, Diana Bracho, but Rosa María Bianchi that plays Lucrecia. I thought the same thing at 1st, they look so much alike.
I didn't remember Diana Bracho as one of the players, so I went searching.

So many great caption suggestions this time! I've added them to the page.

If Sara (la Poderosa) concludes that Diego looks like Juana's husband, of course that will be a big clue for her. But even if he does NOT look like the former count, even if he just looks like the milkman, that in itself will be a clue:
The count's son used to look like the count, and now he doesn't.
The count's nephew used to look like Juana's husband, and now he looks like the count.

Also, we know that Isabel loves gossip, but several times now, she has come to the wrong conclusion. For her it's all a fun game, and the stakes don't really matter all that much. For Sara, the stakes are her life! Her survival depends on reading the winds and staying on top of things that are hidden. When it comes to deciphering clues, Isabel is Dr Watson and Sara is Sherlock Holmes.

paula, how about 'i got a big cold sore to match my big ego'?

Great discussions, everybody.

On La Poderosa's musing on Diego and Luis resembling the opposite padres. It's hard enough for me to see resemblances as adults. These two babies were switched at a few months. They didn't have photography then, so they could only go on memory. La Poderosa's was a little unbelievable (but I'm rooting that her long-term memory is intact and working).

On Tonio coming out of the closet to Rodrigo.

Rod: The word around Santa Rita, it was rumored regarding your inclinaciones sexuales--es ese el problema?
Tonio: Si
Rod: Did Hipolita know?
Tonio: Si
I really liked this scene--Rodrigo wasn't repulsed at all. We know from ancient history on down, that many boys had homosexual relations with men or other boys and it was not discouraged. And it was not grounds for ostracizing, or treated with scorn or contempt as long as they went on to marry and have families. How much of those experimenting with homosexual relations were truely homosexual cannot be determined in this day and age.

So, I was not surprised by Rodrigo's reaction. However, we know that it took a terrible toll on Antonio. It affected his ability to cumplir in a loving relationship. We'll find out why, I'm sure.
Dona Nube (aka NOK)

Vivi... good catch!

and I too find the odd thing with Isa not saying anything about Diego and her brother... could it be that Juana also 'got around' when young?

actually, my oldest daughter looked very much like my husband when she was born and during the first couple years, now she looks much more like me so it is possible the theory that Diego looked like his dad at first but now looks more like Juana, I too see the similarity there. Speaking of similiarities, if anyone has seen Fer Colunga's toddler age pictures in his web site, the boy playing Rafael looks A LOT like Fer did as a boy... no wonder.

Carlos, not surprised you caught...
Antonio came out of the closet in the last scene. His friend (Rodrigo) didn't even blink... just took a thoughtful sip of his wine.
ROFLOL!

I know I'm really late on this one. But when I saw Diego playing with that mask it looked Chinese to me.

I'm sure Diego is thinking "I wish I were Chinese." In other words - anywhere but here!
