Alborada, 8/29/2011. Cap. 64.

Sorry so late today, folks. Pesky day job!

Today's episode is covered in Melinama's Recap #24, Tuesday segment, at this link.

On YouTube, haguilar78's clips for Cap 64 start at this link.

What a stunning picture today! Thank you, Carlos.

I just finished watching this episode. I was struck by several things:

What great advice Antonio gave to Andres. I was really liking him as he defended Marina. Very sensitive, enlightened, and intelligent.

Can Francisco get any more slimy? I'm thinking death would suit him.

I was thrilled to see Catalina taking charge as mistress of the manor. And the later scene between her and Cristobal... awww.

Diego puts another hit out on Luis (yawn)... good luck with that.

I guess that Esperanza is now officially dying. Can she drag it out longer than Martín?

Hipólita still reaches for her neck whenever the topic of Luis is brought up.

Ramón and Arcadio crack me up. Even the closed caption people don't try to interpret what Arcadio says but Ramón understands him perfectly.

Antonio and Perla... they really seem to enjoy each others company.

I was thinking that David of LFdD needs Perla, too.

Woo hoo, Marcos comes back with proof that Rafael was with Modesta! Bwahahaha!

I hate Francisco too. I can't imagine any way that that he can be redeemed.

Carlos, I think Antonio and Perla really have an affection for each other. Maybe she will entice Antonio to stick around rather than try to take Hipolita away.

What a lovely picture of Carmen and Felipe. They are such a sweet, sad couple.

Paula, thank you for the post. How pesky that work had to come before fun today. I hate it when that happens.

Hey, Carlos, about Ramón and Arcadio. Maybe we should rename them Han and Chewy.

I'm thinking that if Luis continues his lifelong compulsion to get close to fire, he really should get a haircut.

Espy's sister said, "What if she dies tonight?" Is that a really, really strong foreshadow?

Well, now that Mirtha told the rev'd mother about Diego, there's no way Juana can put that cat back into the bag. Of course, Juana might convince the rev'd mother to lie for her. And pigs might fly.

Juana told Diego this is the last time she's going to rescue his sorry butt. Fat chance! Do you think she will EVER get so fed up, that she quits rescuing him?

Juana tried to get the Rev Mother to lie once before and it was an utter failure. The Rev Mother is as 'bad' (i.e. good) as her brother.

Han and Chewy, that's funny!

They other day these two (Ramon and Arcadio) made me think of Young Frankenstein. Not sure why. Anyone remember Putting On The Ritz?

Something struck me while watching Francisco's scenes today:

In Pasíon, the local slime king was a fellow known with great disaffection by the Caray crew as La Bouffont (I believe he went to the same hairdresser as Santiago and Gasca). He was a pig, an abusive father, and if I remember right, found to be more deserving of a run-in with the pie cart than the primary villain purely on the basis of his being a part of his own anatomy (it starts with a d, if you need help).

I think we've got his forerunner right here.

There's probably no one better than Antonio to be the voice of reason in the Andres/Marina mess, really. Sure, the Big Brother Brigade can tell him it wasn't her fault all day long, but Antonio must know almost exactly what it was like and what to hit Andres over the head with. Poor guy.

Today's picture is so pretty. It makes me think something like "Light at the end of the tunnel"," or, "Lights to guide you home."
