Having not watched today's ep yet, I have no idea what was actually going on in that scene...

Those flashbacks of Juana's are giving me nightmares. This photo so aptly captures the inhumanity to man reflected by the participants. Carla Estrada is a genius in the way she brings out these painful themes of Mexico's past. And to think that the Spanish part of the Inquisition lasted 300 years! THREE HUNDRED YEARS!!
Esperanza is really pathetic. I can't stand to listen to her whine any more.
