Today's episode is covered in Melinama's Recap #18, Tuesday segment, at this link.

On YouTube, haguilar78's clips for Cap 50 start at this link.

Thank you, Carlos, for today's picture. We can never get enough Colunga.

Carlos sent me another wonderful shot.

Oh yes, Colunga & horses, how good can it get.

Loved the boda (matrimonio in extremis = at the point of death) of Cristóbal & Catalina, no doubt a lasting one, Cris will survive.

Thanks Paula and Carlos. That photo..be still my foolish heart.

Luis' horse looked might antsy as he was waiting for the ransom guy. I'm so jealous of the horsemanship of all these actores & y actrices. My grandmother was a brilliant equestrienne and my brother is a cowboy, but I've never been any good at riding horses.

the "significant" glances and other small moments of acting finesse are what make this novela timeless. I could watch it forever.

Ixv,
I'm chuckling about riding a horse, sth I haven't done in about 4 decades, after what you & I have recently experienced. Someone would have to peel me off the horse.

Love the opening scene with Felipe riding, beautiful.

Only one animal more beautiful than a horse, el tigre. I know, subject to debate.

I just finished watching this episode. Loved the wedding, but the most surprising was Diego's drunken conversation with Rodrigo as Antonio listens on:

"¿Diego, el hijo que espera la esposa de Luis es de él?"

"Claro que no. Esa flaca con aires de mojigata le puso el cuerno."

"¿Sabes con quién?"

"Por supuesto, con migo. ¡Vino!"

"Diego, is the child that Luis' wife is expecting his?"

"Certainly not. That skinny thing with deceitful airs cuckolded him."

"Do you know with whom?"

"Of course, with me!"

Oops!

Carlos

Yes, Carlos, that was quite a shocker. Of course Antonio would be the last person to give that significant chisme to Luis. BUT, as I kept telling my son when he was learning to drive, "He who does one stupid thing will do two stupid things." Diego will probably make a similar mistake again, with a less-reliable audience.

Diego's blabber reminded me of a little poem my grandmother used to recite to us:

If your lips would keep from slips,
Five things observe with care.
To whom you speak, of whom you speak,
And how, and when, and where.

Shout out to all grandmothers, everywhere!

And Vario, I have always adored horses, but my true love is my cats. They are distant cousins of el tigre, but I know of no more beautiful animal. They put me on a horse when I was a little girl, I had practiced my posting and was doing OK, when the darn thing decided that trotting was not on today's lesson plan and he took off like the wind with me grabbing onto his mane for dear life. We went over hill and dale, through the woods (low branches) and finally ended up back in the ring. I've been rather timid since. I'm actually thinking of getting back on my bike, though. It's six months since my surgery and I'm better than I expected to be.

But, Esperanza was raped. The sad thing is that she feels shame, while that pedaza de mierda feels pride.
I know pobre Esperanza isn't playing with a full deck, but she has no one except Mirtha,. She is the saddest novela case I have ever seen & the actress is doing a fantastic job. I'm convinced she's loca. She in addition to being nuts, lets her mouth make things even worse for her.

Ixv,
Love this sayng
God created the cat so that man could caress the tiger.

Thanks Paula and Carlos for your faithful postings for our viewing and discussing pleasures.

I was impactada too about Diego's casual rather careless owning of paternity. He doesn't fail to reveal his basic disrespect for everyone, everyone. I'm still glad his secret Mama slapped him silly yesterday.

I like how kind and wise Hipolita is being even though she has lost her memory of familiar people and events. She has a deeper and vaster knowledge which is a real pleasure to hear.

Gotta love those sayings! So much wisdom compressed into a line or two.

A comment I forgot to make yesterday, I thought it was very odd that the two thieves teased Andres about working as a waiter, saying he was even worse off than they. They are thieves and kidnappers for pete's sake! What is wrong with these people's values? They are as bad as (hack hack) Francisco. On the other end of the spectrum is Hipolita who willingly takes any sort of job. Thanks, I needed to get that off my chest.

Woweee, the look that Luis gave Hipolita before leaving on his journey...smoldering! And I loved her dress in this episode.

I cried at the bedside wedding. I am such a sap!

Paula and Carlos, thank you for the post and yummy screen shot.

Caption : ''Ride, Luis, Ride.''

When Hipo said to Catalina, "Nothing is impossible," the profound music played, indicating it was significant. Why?
Is it a clue to US that Hipo is emerging from the fog? That was her signature phrase. If she's saying it again, then her "self" is coming back.
Or is it a clue to Juana and Isabel that they can't keep her in the dark anymore? When they heard her say it, they seemed impactaditas.

I got teary during the wedding too. I wish those two would just admit to each other that they are in love. I hope we don't have to wait until the finale for that. I am assuming that Cris will survive. No way can they kill off another of Luis' friends.

I laughed out loud at the looks on the faces of Antonio and his friend when Diego bragged that he impregnated Espe. And right after Toni was somehow trying to defend Diego. Por favor!

I just watched tonight's episode of La Fuerza del Destino and just watched a scene with the actors that play Felipe and Marcos (Marcelo Cordoba). The Felipe actor plays a gutless sad sack, and Marcelo plays a devious shady guy. So different from their brave and noble roles in Alborada! But still a pleasure to watch (especially Marcelo).

Vivi, I really wish I had the time to watch LFDD, it has a lot of actors in it that I adore. So many fun telenovelas, so little time.

This is bringing back memories...loved the matrimonio in extremis. And was also delighted that Diego let slip that he's the actual father of Esperanza's baby. I agree with Variopinta that she's a very sad victim...of her upbringing, her mistreatment (Diego, not Luis) and her mental imbalance.

Sylvia~~~You really should watch Fuerza. It's pretty good , and there are so many familiar faces. Vivi~~~I enjoyed the scene between Marcelo and Alejandro. You'r so right..their characters are sooo different in this new show. As for Espy, if Luis can't save a mujer from herself...let's face it...no on can save you. She is a tragic figure.

Since so many of us were touched by the wedding, Carlos sent me a screenshot of it. I just added it this morning, and I didn't want you compañeros to miss it.

Nice screen shot!

Susanlynn, if I added a new TN I would have to dump one of my current ones. Let's see...Alborada? Never! Cuando Me Enamoro? No, I'm recapping it and actually liking it a lot. Teresa? I did stop watching for a week or so because it felt like everyone was having the same conversations over and over, but now it's gotten pretty good again and I think there are only a few weeks left. Might as well stick it out.

Carlos, you've got mail.

when I saw Luis standing there with his horse I thought it would be a good shot for Carlos. These days when I watch the TN I try to figure out what shot Carlos will use. It' a fun game.
If El Conde took my wine
Like he took Antonio's he would probably have to fight another duel!
