I had to laugh in today's episode (well, the recap of it) when Juana said, "Diego seems crazy." Really, Juana? You're just noticing NOW??
 

Finally today Telefutura announced that Alborada wil show here at 5:00AM, the barbarians! I have another channel to see it at 7:00AM so looks like I will tape it some. I have caught up on the yesterday and today on Youtube but is is so little, it's just not the same thing.

I am mad at Hipolita again for letting her frightened to stupidity nanny speak for her and then not even having the audacity to speak the truth, but where is my beanie, if people were smart the plot would last no more than one week for any telenovela.
 

Thanks Pau;a and Carlos. I haven't thought of a caption for the photo on the left but for the one on the left may I suggest Antonio saying : ''That damn Luis forgot to pay your electric bill.'' p.s. Daughter's rash got worse, so she returned to our doctor group and had a different doctor who told her that she had a skin allergy NOT impetigo as the other doctor diagnosed and that the antibiotic and Neosporin probably made it worse. Caray Caray.

The lighting in this show is wonderful - I almost believe candles are the only (indoor) light source. Everyone looks better in candlelight, and none more so than Luis.
Poor Luis,he's been through so much and now he's doubting that the kid on the way is his. Maybe he should have stayed on la finca.

As bad as they are, I'm sad that Juana and Diego have diseases that usually cause terrible deaths. They might consider a lethal potion from Modesta - it would be a mercy.
 

This time slot change is really cruel at the end of a series. This really burns my tail.

Diego and Juana are getting exactly what they deserve.
 

Does Modesta have any more of that voice-killing potion? Somebody could slip some into Ada's drink.
 

Overslept this morning. It's sth when you have to set the alarm to watch a novela, maldita sea.

I loved it when Luis sat on Diego's throne, I don't mean chamber pot, but then again Luis would be guapo anywhere.

Anya, I love the candle light and the flowers in every room too. It is so romantic. I think that is wy so many sections look bad on youtube, there simply isn't enough light to see the wonderful details on a 3 or 4 inch window.

SusanLynn, so sorry about your daughter. I really hope they got the right diagnosis and the right treatment this time.
 

Variopinta--As to why no divorce: someone mentioned yesterday, the dog in the manger syndrome--If I can't have her, nobody can. Also at work is his pride and the more the two of them beg, the more entrenched he gets. And we can't overlook how strongly he doesn't want to lose to Luis, of all men. And, he can't bear a scandal--even though he doesn't come from DJuana's social status, a scandal, especially a marital one, would make it harder for him to feel assimilated into Cuencas society.

My word verification is caccurn--the receptacle that holds Diego's digested nuggets.
 

The beauty of watching this on DVD is that you don't miss it by oversleeping but you miss this timely conversation, because you are always late.

I don't think Isabel needs to worry about Diego. What she can't do with a sword, she can do with her personality.

The last telenovela I saw was TDA before I used my DVR to catch up on this show. It is interesting watching the contrast of this suddenly guilty Juana after watching the role the same actress played in TDA.

Related to this, I develop educational games that I research. I just downloaded a pretty good Spanish text-to-speech voice, so now a couple of my games are becoming Spanish-speaking games. This should help me learn the language also. After watching 2 telenovelas, the voice sounds pretty good, if not really good to me.

Good morning, everyone. I have to dash to work. I am hoping that the early morning Alborada special recorded. Cindy~~~It seems like you have a very interesting job. Educational games can make learning fun. My student from Ecuador asked me how I was learning Spanish, and she was very surprised when I told her that I was learning by watching telenovelas and that there is a site where people translate and discuss them. ~~~Susanlynn, heading off to try to make learning English fun.
