Caray, Caray!

It's not that we're not interested in commenting--I just haven't seen the episode yet and here it is 6pm!

Ick--Are those Antonio's lips touching Luis' special place on Hipo's neck? No wonder she looks like she's going to throw up (and it isn't morning sickness).

I have a suspicion that we're heading for a showdown between Luis and Juana over his origenes, between Luis and Diego over the partnership and between Luis and Antonio over Hipolita--duh!

Me too - I read the recap last night but I don't remember anything about it! (At this stage of the story, I have to assume that it would have been memorable, but I was half-asleep when I read it.) I'm going to start watching the episode in a few minutes.
 

I had to laugh when the new guy in town said of Antonio, "He's a nice guy, very pleasant. He's not from around here."

I know he didn't mean it the way I took it, but it cracked me up.
 

Antonio's life sure has gotten complicated. I just don't see a good end for him. He keeps getting more and more stubborn about Hip, while being totally hypocritical. I had hoped that after he bared his soul to Hip, that he would have become more reasonable. After all, she understands him better now and even defends him at times. But he keeps getting more obstinate and cold towards her.

I can't believe how long it's taking Luis and he team to arrive at the conclusion that Luis is really Diego and Diego is really Luis. But, how can they get Juana to admit it?

I'm also mad at Luis. As he huffed, and puffed and pouted about Hip being pregnant by Antonio, although those words never came out of HER mouth, I kept think, "Martin would have never believed the worst of Hip." Each time Martin found out something damning about Hip (she's married, she ran away from her husband, she has a bastard child, Luis is the father of her bastard child), he never doubted her virtue, goodness, or her word, even as other people, like his mother, expressed their doubts about Hip being a good woman. Luis should take a lesson.
 

Some trivial stuff:

The teller who waited on Antonio at the bank was the bug-eyed youth who looked near orgasmic as he watched the burning at the stake of Sara's family.

Those huge tusks on Cristóbal's porch have made appearances in a number of our TNs including Gancho and LldA. I guess they're sort of like that pear robe.

The first photo seems to invite brilliant captions, yet I can't come up with anything. For the second one, however, "Are we there yet?"
 

Good morning all. After entertaining house guests all week I am finally catching up with this week's episodes. I agree that Antonio is becoming more obstinate and inconvenient with his hard-headed huffing and puffing and insistence that he 'not be humiliated'. Sheesh dude, give it a rest.

My caption for shot #1: Listen,(doo dah doo) do you want to know a secret ? (doo dah doo).

Carlos, Oh yes we know those tusks well. If they are real then it's no wonder they are still floating around the prop department. They must take up a lot of space. I am on the lookout for the pear robe.

The past four episodes are kind of a blur and mash-up, but I will mention that the doctor's prognoses for Juana and Diego are certainly dismal. I actually forgot about that scene so I was able to enjoy it like the first time, including the intense ick factor.

Paula and Carlos, thanks a million for the recaps, links and fantastically moody screen shots. Nine more episodes...this novela has sped right along.
