El Mundo de Telemundo, Week of September 26, 2011: Discuss Amongst Yourselves

¡Hola a todos! I can't believe it's already the end of September. Below are recapettes of Friday's episodes of Mi Corazón Insiste and Flor Salvaje. Now over to you.

MI CORAZÓN INSISTE - viérnes

The big news is that Lola and Ándres got together. The bad news, of course, is that they pledged never to let themselves be separated again, which, unless it is happening in the gran final means trouble is coming for the couple. Still no últimas semanas.

The happy night of passion was orchestrated more or less by Adelita, Etelvina and the staff in Lola's house along with Camilo. But, as Lola and Ándres were passionately kissing silhouettes in the window, Débora was outside in disguise watching them. She curses them and Ándres actually hears her but fortunately, it didn't quell their desires.

Otherwise, Ándres gets Ramon to make what we call in the law business, 'statements against interest,' that is, Ramon more or less admits that he knew that Débora killed Marcelo and kidnapped Soledad.

Later, Ramon arranges to send a message to someone by an inmate.

Camilo tells Andres that he will be divorced from Débora in 15 days.

Vicky is a very sympathetic jailer to Soledad. Soldead urges Vicky to set her free but Vicky explains that she'd like to but she is afraid of Ángel.

Ángel sees Felix's mug shot at the police station and warns him that the police are looking for him.

Débora tries to cry on Ángel's shoulder after seeing Andres and Lola but he is not sympathetic and tells her that she is completely crazy.

Adelita invites Lola's and Andres' friends to a morning after breakfast party where Andres proposes to Lola.

I think that was about it.

FLOR SALVAJE - viérnes

José Maria goes to see Rafael to get his support to move against Mariano because of what he did to Rocío.

Mariano is threatening Malicia about what happened with the painting when Piruetas interrupts. Piruetas tells Malicia that he loves her and doesn't want her to end up like Silvia, dead in the river. Malicia tells him to stay away from her basically for his own protections.

Frigida finds Rocío and Antonio in José Maria's room. She draws the worst possible conclusions but Raimundo says that if José Maria brought Rocío there, he must have had a good reason.

Pablo and Sacto are by the river. Pablo tells Sacto how his wife tried to tell Rafa the truth about him and Amanda but Rafa misunderstood. Sacto urges Pablo to take his family and get out of town before the truth comes out. Pablo replies that he is nothing without Amanda.

Amanda is afraid of what Lucía might have told Rafa but Ana reports that all is quiet in the town.

Rafa brings José Maria to see the Governor. The Governor doesn't want to believe that Mariano would abuse his own sister.

Mariano searches the houses of the cuatro P's, brutalizes Piruetas and tells Zahra that he will punish her for every man that Rocío slept with. After they leave, Piruetas tells the girls that the knows where Rocío is.

Piruetas is explaining what happened with Rocio to the 4-P crowd when Amanda comes in. They freeze her out cold. Zahra says that she doesn't want Amanda in her house. Amanda leaves and the girls cheer. Later, Amanda breaks up the chicas having a celebratory drink and tells them to get to work. Amanda tells Mina that she wanted to work with Zahra but she is just giving back what she got.

While admiring herself with the dress Amanda wore to the party, Ana sees a veiled figure and runs away in terror. She tells the chicas that the ghost of Clara is after her.

The Governor orders Enrique released and apologizes to him for the mistake. Mariano's face when the Governor mentions that Enrique is the nephew of the owner of the paper, The Truth (La Verdad), was priceless. Enrique is gracious. "Dicen que la justicia cojea pero llega," They say that justice is slow but it comes, he tells the Governor. When Enrique is gone, the Governor tells Mariano that nothing like this had better happen again. He says that Mariano has been accused of abusing his sister. If he so much as touches her again, the Governor will dismiss him from his post.

Amanda doesn't want to talk to Pablo. Pablo says that he will tell Rafa everything. Amanda tells him not to do it. If he talks, Rafa will kill them both. Amanda says that she wouldn't mind dying for love but not for 'un-love.' She says that she hates him and tells him to take his family and go far away.

Frigida tells Lourdes that Antonio and Rocio are at her house.

José Maria comes home. He tells Rocío that thanks to Rafa, the Governor told Mariano to leave her alone.

When Amanda tells Rafa that she is getting some resistance from the girls to her new role as boss, he supports her but witchy little Ana tells Rafa that Zahra won't accept Amanda at all. [I'm rooting for the ghost of Clara to get Ana.] Rafa goes to see Zahra and tells her that he is throwing her out not only from the Cuatro P but also from her house, reminding her that it is his house. Zahra almost tells Rafa about Amanda and Pablo but Olga stops her.

Pablo tells Lucía that she has won. He will quit his job and go back home with her.

Catalina provokes Rafa so much that he tries to strangle her.

Flor wants to make the Cabaret Cuatro P into a class joint that the snooty upper class folks want to visit. Piruetas and most of the girls are in agreement.

Dudi gives Sacto the picture of Jesus that Amanda had entrusted to him before Sacto left town.

Amanda tries to make peace with Zahra but Zahra just drips venom and won't listen. Rafa and his men are throwing Zahra out of her house when Amanda shows up. Zahra curses her.

I didn't do the last part justice but I've run out of time.

LA CASA DE AL LADO – as of Friday

Part 1 of 2

This week the writers put the characters in a paper bag, shake well, and then pour everyone back on stage. And in this Modern Family, Miami style, here’s the new mix:

Legal and biological identity diverge:
The Conde sibs are adopted. (Are they the unwanted offspring of inmates of the Hospital for the Criminally Insane? You have to admit it would explain a lot.) Only Renato, Eva and their trusted legal advisor, Javier, know the truth. Soon everyone will know – or so we assume.

Mabel tells Renato that he is the father of her firstborn. Truth or dare? Is Gonzalo actually a Conde? Ironically Renato assigns Gonzo himself to track down the man who may be his only biological descendent. So Gonzalo, like so many confused young men before him, is now looking for himself. Of course Renato won’t explain why he has ordered the search.

Hilda discovers you can run from the Conde family but you can’t hide.
Due to dangerously high blood pressure, Hilda’s labor is induced a month early; and in a hospital in Zacatecas, Mexico, she delivers a vigorous baby girl. Yolanda and Emilio fly down to be with her but only Yolanda is welcome. Hilda continues to reject Emilio.

Miracle in Zacatecas
Emilio breaks through his cloud of darkness while he is holding his newborn daughter in his arms: He can see! He can see!

Uh oh. There are problems with the baby.
The docs make a provisional diagnosis of Turner’s syndrome. Emilio sweeps up a distraught and uncomprehending Hilda and flies her and their daughter back to Miami where the Conde family can once again take control. The doctors insist that a chromosome analysis of the baby’s parents and grandparents is key to diagnosis and treatment.

Once in the Miami hospital, Hilda, in the classic posture of a woman suffering severe postpartum depression, turns away from her daughter. She refuses to hold her, feed her or even look at her.

LA CASA DE AL LADO

Part 2 of 2

The Conde family refrain: Enough about you, let’s talk about me.
Eva panics at the thought of being outed as an adoptive mother.

Ignacia, (who, thanks to Gonzo, believes she is susceptible to fugue states in which she commits bloody murders) thinks she would be the perfect mommy for Hilda’s daughter. She pays off Nibaldo to steal the baby.

Only Renato tries to be a mensch. He wants to tell his children the truth about their origin; and he assigns Javier to track down Emilio’s bio parents.

A baby? Maybe.
Rebeca may or may not be pregnant with Javier’s baby.
She may or may not be using the threat of publically announcing that Javier is the father of said hypothetical baby to deter him from pressing charges against Gonzalo for attempted murder.

Ismael the Joker
He engineers a confrontation between Gonzalo and Javier, places a loaded gun within Gonzo’s reach and hugely enjoys the fallout: Gonzo shoots the gun and misses; Javier shoots off his mouth and hits his target – he’s going to file charges and see Gonzalo behind bars!

The Joker gets Rebeca to track down his email clues:
At the end of the search, she finds a key hidden in the archly titled book, La casa de al lado.

The Joker sends Carola to do his bidding at the Conde house:
Carola calls and apologizes to Eva while giggly Ismael looks on in admiration at how easily she lies. (She should have been an actress, he tells her.) Eva, behaving for once like a real mother, believes her devious daughter’s drivel.

On the way to the Conde house, Carola meets up with Omar. Omar, it turns out, is no pushover. He’s done with Carola Conde. She’ll always be alone, he tells her. And it’s her own fault.

Carola slips into Renato’s study and tears a few checks from the register in the desk.

Pilar, Pilar, Pilar
Finally our girl shows some gumption:
After Diego’s suicidal gesture, she announces that he will never go back to the school where he was so cruelly bullied.

And when Rebeca admits that she and Javier have indeed been lovers for the past few months, Pilar tells Javier he is dead to her.

Unfortunately for Pilar, the mysterious roses keep coming and the shadowy figure appears again and again outside her house.

MI CORAZÓN INSISTE - VIÉRNES

How sweet it was to see our tortolitos united again, with their extended "family" conspiring to make it happen. These two actors are SO believable, in my opinion, as people who truly love each other.

Gotta confess enjoyed seeing Débora's face twisted in pain seeing Andrés and Lola. It also reminded me of that song from 1957, Silhouettes, in which a lovelorn male sees his former sweetie kissing her new novio.

I enjoyed watching Andrés needle Ramón.

Wherever they go from here, please, please: let it not be the stolen baby cliché.

FLOR SALVAJE - VIÉRNES

Thanks, Jean. Excellent recap!

It was interesting that José María, called Chema by Rafael, used an effective goad on Rafa, that he won't want to be seen as an accomplice of Mariano.

I thought the scene with Pablo and Sacto by the river was another good one. The characters in this novela are nothing if they're not nuanced. Sacto gives good advice and, for once, is kind and not on his moral high horse. Pablo wishes he could have his best friend back and longs for forgiveness.

I LOVED the scene where Mariano is dressed down by the Governor. Of course, the Gov didn't care at all about Enrique until he found out how influential his family is. And he told him in no uncertain terms he'd be booted out if he approached Rocío again. The Gov said there was a demanda against him for what he did to Rocío. It's good there's some actual legal complaint against him.

But the first thing Mariano does is show up with the rotten Frigida. Is he crazy enough to harm her after that threat he received? I guess we'll find out.

Ana provoked Rafa into his cruel treatment of Zahra. At least Flor at times recognizes what a miserable wretch her sister is. She's helped create an implacable enemy for her sister.

The scene with Catalina and Rafael was amazing. In essence she put herself far, far above him. She told him he was a good fit with Flor because he was a whore also. He also prostitutes himself for money, her money, her land. She knees him in the groin and then threatens him with a HUGE knife. Only the arrival of Barba Roja and Luisa prevent her sticking him with it, and he knows it.

Catalina shows up doing a "poor, abused me" routine for Sacto. She doesn't mention the part about her knowing he wouldn't really kill her because of the clause in the will. She's planning to use him in attempt against Rafa's life.

Zahra cursed Flor in a hair raising manner. She told her she'd never be happy. Those words don't do justice to how impressive the curse was and the reaction of Flor.

LA CASA - VIÉRNES

NovelaMaven, your itemized recaps are a joy to read!

Again, except for Matías and maybe Omar, there isn't one admirable character in the whole novela. I wanted to slap the wailing Hilda. I don't think it's 100% post-partum depression. She talked about a castigo. I'm thinking she believes that her kid ended up with Turner's Syndrome because of her helping Rosa against the Conde family. That's the only thing I can think of. But couldn't she even ask for a breast pump. This poor niña needs all the antibodies and other good things provided by nature from mother's milk.

I like your suggestion that these despicable Conde brats came from Criminally Insane parents.

LA CASA DE AL LADO

NovelaMaven tnx for great recap.

"Ironically Renato assigns Gonzo himself to track down the man who may be his only biological descendent. So Gonzalo, like so many confused young men before him, is now looking for himself."

I really liked this scene! and I think this situation will lead to more interesting scenes in upcoming episodes.

Mi Corazon Insiste:

I also felt the attraction between Lola and Andres was intense, believable, and wonderful. They just couldn't stop destiny. But, as we know, it can't last (yet).

I loved Debora's disguise. In her last novela (El Fantasma de Elena), the actress had about 5 or 6 disguises (one was as a man!) She really must love playing around with her appearance (she's already had two totally different looks in this show, from spoiled rich shopping girl to spoiled rich corporate lady).

Ramon had better have a good message (for Angel?). If not, he could meet the same prison fate as Bobby (watch what you eat, Ramon!)

I think Vicki may have agreed to help Soledad a little bit at the end of their conversation, even though she's scared of Angel. We'll have to see. Vicki told Soledad how she used to be an exotic dancer in Mexico when she was young, it was a sordid existence. Ramon, a young attorney, rescued her and took her away from that life. But later, Ramon got addicted to gambling, and then became Marcelo's shadow. Vicki was bored and had lots of affairs. But the worst part about what's happened recently, says Vicki, is that she's not being pursued by the cops for what she's done, but for what her daughter has done. Debora is twisted. Right, says Soledad, so twisted that she'd kill me for any pretext. You've got to help me. Vicki will see what she can do.

LA CASA DE AL LADO:

Thanks again, NovelaMaven, for a fun summary of the nutty happenings in this novela. I also liked 'your description Gonzalo "looking for himself".

In typical novela fashion, Omar, who believed in Carola through all her rejections, now that she actually needs him is through with her.

Carola told Ismael no one would believe she was a good girl now. But Eva did. Ignacia doesn't buy it for one minute. Since NOBODY listens to Eva OR Ignacia, none of this will matter.

Nibaldo is really going to steal Hilda's baby for Ignacia for money?!!! This seems so out of character for him. I don't care if he says "I've always been loyal to your family". I don't think Renato or Eva, his actually bosses, would approve one bit.

And what about the use of checks? First of all, how much does Ignacia have in her regular checking account, at .1% interest. A million dollars? Not likely. And checks can be easily traced. Same with the checks Carola stole. I doubt any of this will ever come up, but writing checks is not always the best way to do schemes.

Javier sure gets bounced around more than a foosball. And yet he somehow always regains his silly sick swagger. He really is a fun character to watch.

I don't know if Rebeca is telling the truth, but I can't stop watching her, because of her meltingly beautiful eyes.

LA CASA DE AL LADO -- viernes

Thanks, guys!

Novelera:

About Hilda and her castigo ("I'm thinking she believes that her kid ended up with Turner's Syndrome because of her helping Rosa against the Conde family.")

It's true that Hilda has plenty to feel guilty about. But I have a hunch that crime -- what she committed with Rosa -- weighs less heavily on Hilda than does sin -- what she committed with Emilio. Sex before marriage is a sin. The fruit of that sin -- her daughter -- bears its stigma.

Alex:

I'm with you -- I liked the scene between Renato and Gonzalo; and Gonzalo's new assignment (to find Mabel's oldest son) should lead to some intriguing and thorny places.

I continue to be amazed at how Gabriel Porras's Gonzalo, in spite of being a monster and doing horrible things to people the viewer has come to care about, is still able to elicit our -- or at least my sympathy. Is it because, as monstrous as he may be, he is -- unlike Javier -- never arrogant?

Hombre:

Hah! I was thinking the same thing about these people and their checkbooks. (I was also thinking how ridiculous it was for Ignacia to claim she has more to offer the baby than its bio parents do. Aren't Emilio and Ignacia still drawing checks at The Bank of Dad?)

As for the lovely-eyed Rebeca -- we understand more and more how it happened that she and Matías were soulmates. Like Matías, Rebeca is risk-loving, impulsive, even self-destructive. Or looked at differently -- she's very brave.

And I'm still curious to know what Omar is hiding. And like the letters of his name, I suspect it's a Mora mix-up.

CORAZÓN:

Great minds....

Novelera, I was hearing the same song (Silhouettes on the Wall) in my head when I was writing the recap. In the song, the guy eventually realizes he is on the wrong street and it isn't his girl. No such luck for Débora.

Hombre: Débora's disguise reminded me of her disguises in Fantasma, too, but I forgot to put it in. She has a very mobile face.

LA CASA DE AL LADO

NovelaMaven, I totally agree with you about Gonzalo's being sympathetic in spite of being a monster. I don't know exactly what the reason is; maybe a set of various elements including his true love, his being abused as a child and the actor portraying it.

attachment: a funny detrás de cámaras video :)

LA CASA DE AL LADO

Hey Alex, Thanks for the link to the video. My favorite part -- seeing "Igor Mora" giggling:)

LA CASA DE AL LADO: Lunes

Not a whole lot actually happened, as they're setting us up for some action soon. Everybody's plotting. Adofmael's plotting is going great, Gonzaki not so well.

Renato, as usual, has ordered some of his lawyers/neighbors/family to do things. As usual, it's not working. Javier is supposed to track down the true parents of the 3 adopted Condes. He pretty much does nothing and rips up the files. Ha, ha, Javier, he don't care, but best beware of his smirking stare.

Gonzaki's job is to find "Igor Mora's eldest son". He frantically asks Mabel for help. He can't tell Renato he's Igor Mora's son, or he's sunk. Mabel avoids telling Gonzo that he's actually RENATO's son, but says she'll see what she can do. Well, well, Mabel, that sounds swell. She looks as if she wants to tell, Gonzalo to go to hell.

Pilar is now home schooling Diego, who's relieved about the bullies at school, but is still sad that his Daddy puts him down. Diego shows how grown up he is by watching a tv show with little cartoon cats. Go, Diego, Go! Andrea switches to Mun2, just so we can get a very helpful Dish Latino product placement.

Omar is back, giving his card to Ignacia, assuring him that Carola's happy behavior actually means she's in grave danger. He should know, he's a trained counselor. Emilio is wary of Carola, especially when she tells him "preparate" (get ready).

Nibaldo tries to steal Hilda's baby from the hospital, but Yolanda catches him. Ignacia gives him a bigger check, Yolanda catches the check. But Nibaldo still might try it again. But it has to be tonight.

So Adolfo has two plans. He's gotten Carola to steal 3 checks from Renato's desk. Carola has forged Renato's signature, but Adolfo wants her to go to the bank. He needs cash.

His other scheme is with Rebeca, who has found the book La Casa de Al Lado, and is reading it. It's just like what's happening to them! Gonzo isn't too happy to find this out. Rebeca also received another of those handy safe deposit keys inside the book, and Gonzo figured out the bank. Rebeca will go there in the morning.

Rebeca's own scheme is working well. As expected she tells Javier she'll prove "the baby" is his, and sue for support....unless he drops his lawsuit against Gonzalo for firing that gun. Javier agrees.

Whew! That was a lot for an episode where nothing happened :)

MI CORAZON INSISTE:

I only saw the first half (Monday night football), but I did get to see Felix's new look, which basically involves messing up his hair as much as possible. I also saw Angel whine that he wants to lead a normal life, not the life of a criminal like Tiberio. Too late, Angel!

Lola tells Andres yes, she'll marry him. He gives her two rings, one a flower from the napkin, the other provided by Sofia, it was Laura's, and it turns out Rodrigo actually gave it to Laura years ago. Small world, huh?

Adelita feels safe with Fugencio, but oh, that Daniel. She asks Lola if she can love two guys at the same time.

Ramon's message (delivered by an actor who played a nice humble peasant son in an earlier novela, but now he's a hardened criminal in this one), was delivered to Felix, then to Angel. It was one part, they've got nothing on me, and one part, I could always rat on you, Angel. Angel isn't too happy that Ramon is telling HIM what to do.

I didn't see the rest. Any more stuff with Debora?

LA CASA

Thanks Hombre for your recap was only able to see the last 5 minutes. But should we come to the conclusion that Ignacia's days are limited now that Igor told her she knows Inaki (Gonzo), and of course she repeats this to Gonzo?

CORAZON

Don't know what happened to this, maybe because they killed Tibero, but I've lost interest. So thanks I will as always read the recaps and see if I get lured back in (I always do)

LA CASA - LUNES

Thanks, Hombre, great recap!

Boy do I ever despise Carola. Emilio, at least, finally told her what she should have believed if she weren't nuts. Her family did come to see her when she was in jail but she refused to see them.

And Pilar! In my mind she did a truly dumb thing lying to Diego like that. Home schooling to protect him from bullying - OK I guess. But you can't tell a child that his papí really loves him when every human instinct tells him the exact opposite. I wouldn't have home schooled him either. I'd have emptied out Javier's pockets to send him to a different, better private school. And, if there were again bullying, I'd unleash hell on the school.

Speaking as a mother, I continue to want to kick Pilar in the hindquarters.

MI CORAZÓN - LUNES

I never cease being amazed at the clothing females in telenovelas wear to job interviews. The new character, I think her name was Mirabel, has an interview with Daniel and Leon for the asesor position. She shows up with some top that is skin tight and shows her silicone enhancements to full advantage. She babbles on about her amazing career arc and that she has other job offers so they better hurry. But the whole spiel is said in this baby talk sexy voice. Of course, they're going to hire her. Although at least Andrés has to meet with her as well.

One thing I noticed last night, especially since Ángel is following in his padrino's footsteps. The good guys drink either beer when with the guys or red wine when with a woman. The baddies always drink whiskey (and occasionally brady from a snifter), leering over the rim of the glass.

There was another scene with Débora, Hombre. Ángel showed up at the gym when Andrés and Lola were talking about the wedding plans. He managed to mask his annoyance at this development. But he couldn't wait to lay it on Débora. Ana did a great job, practically falling apart. But Ángel told her that this wedding was not going to happen, so relax.

FLOR SALVAJE - LUNES

Zahra, in full Medea mode, tells Rafael also that she's cursing him as well as Flor. She tells him that she pities him and wait until Flor does to you what you did to me. She does get moved into Clara's (and Amanda's) old digs, while Flor and the girls are relocated to her place. The girls miss Olga, and her cooking. When Flor, rather snottily, says she'll get them a cook, Olga replies that she's Zahra's friend, not just her cook, something that she (Flor) probably wouldn't understand.

Mariano is at Raimundo and Frigida's house trying to throw his weight around. He wants to grab Rocío right there and then. José María tells him that Rafael Urrieta met with the Governor to ensure that he never harms Rocío again.

Cat flat out asks Sacto to help her kill Rafa. He's disgusted with her and walks away after telling her "This is what your supposed love was about - using me as an accomplice?"

Sacto tells Lucía in the church about the quartering of Alirio, and that she has to clam up about Pablo and Flor. He also gives her good advice. Don't claim to be superior to Amanda or you'll end up distancing Pablo from you.

Mariano, in a state of hysteria, confronts Rafa, saying it's his fault that Rocío is free to dirty his name again. Yeah right! He's not as worried about his good name as much as trying to get his paws on her again. He almost strikes Rafael. Rafael is not intimidated, telling him "How could you be so stupid as to put your sister, obviously not crazy, in the asylum and then hit her leaving marks on her as evidence?" When Mariano grabs him by the shirt front, Rafa, steely eyed, tells him that "¡Sueltame! Porque yo sí te echo en un pozo lleno de petroleo y lo prendo.

Rocío goes after Flor for displacing Zahra. She tells her she thought she had only sold her body, not her soul. She also tells her she made a bad start with her new status, walking all over the people you say you want to save.

Looks like Dudi and Susana may become an item. He gives her free popsicles.

Rocío decides to run against her brother for mayor.

When Rafael finds out that Pablo has resigned his position, he seems very hurt by it. Pablo, of course, doesn't give him a real reason.

Hubba, hubba! José María looks great his his snug undies, and goes to the door responding to a knock from Rocío. I think these two are going to be an item.

Flor is having problems at the 4P bar. There's no beer and no ice. Supplying the bar was Zahra's job, and she is in the bar with a triumphant smile, surrounded by men.

FLOR SALVAJE - LUNES

Whoops, forgot one thing that happened at the end. After getting into Rafa's gun cabinet, she shoots at him from behind a tree. He's shown falling off his horse. Of course he's not going to be dead, but it remains to be seen how badly she wounded him.

FLOR & CORAZÓN:

Thanks Hombre and Novelera. I was at a meeting all day and couldn't write my Corazón recap at work like I usually do. Now I'm stuck at the Newark train station with hundreds of unhappy commuters - all trains are delayed indefinitely due to signal problems.

LA CASA DE AL LADO -- lunes

Hombre, you're on your A-game today!

Ha, ha, Javier, he don't care, but best beware of his smirking stare.

Well, well, Mabel, that sounds swell. She looks as if she wants to tell, Gonzalo to go to hell.

Finally -- hip hop comes to La Casa!

Oh man. All these nasty, backstabbing people, all these little wars -- some openly declared, others in the shadows. The vengeance of the Mora boys against the Conde family is almost lost in the battles within the three families:

Carola is plotting against her whole family.
Ignacia is plotting to steal her brother's baby.

Ismael is allied with Mabel and at war with Iñaki and Igor.
Iñaki is trying to kill Ismael and Igor.

Javier is destroying his own son.
Rebeca is siding with Gonzalo against Javier.

---------
Novelera:

... you can't tell a child that his papí really loves him when every human instinct tells him the exact opposite.

Maybe so. But I don't know how you tell a little boy that he's right, his father doesn't love him. Besides, Javier's notion of affection is ... shall we say idiosyncratic? He professes undying love for Pilar and yet causes her no end of suffering. Maybe if you put a gun to his head, he would admit to caring for his son.

OT

Jean, That sounds miserable. Hope you get home very soon!

MI CORAZON:

Just watched the recording, and I have a few tidbits to add. I think the new luscious lawyer lady is Diana Mirabel. She certainly wasn't shy about emphasizing her "assets".

Fulgencio sent Adelita a wedding dress. Elelvina says return it, it's bad luck! Adelita says she doesn't believe in those superstitions, but as we all know, they always come true in telenovelaland.

I think Angel okayed killing "the dealer", and he'll decide about killing Ramon later. It's up to Felix to take care of this.

Debora looks a little unbalanced with that new wig, both visually and behaviorally.

And Rodrigo kissed Sofia, causing both of them (separately) to question his feelings for Soledad.

LA CASA - LUNES

NovelaMaven, I'm 99% sure Javier has no love at all for Diego. Way back when he was maintaining that the kid wasn't his, that he was Pilar's child with Ricardo Merino.

I doubt this is true, but his apparent belief that she got pregnant by someone else resulted in Javier not bonding with Diego at all. He seems to have some fatherly feelings for Andrea.

Or maybe his feelings about Diego stem from his inability to tolerate another male presence in his universe. He's like the male mammal that will kill the female's offspring to bring her back into estrus.

In any case, his feelings for Pilar are far from my definition of love. It's a very sick obsession.

I think Pilar could have told Diego something besides your father loves you VERY much. It's very disturbing to children when you flat out tell them something that's the opposite of reality. She could have said she didn't know what Javier felt, but SHE loves him unconditionally. And, she could have continued with what she actually said, that she'd talk to his father.

I spent more than three wonderful hours (not) at the Newark train station yesterday. Fortunately, I had one of the few seats on a bench. And when the train finally came, it stopped right in front of me so I got a seat on the train, too. Ugh!

MI CORAZÓN:

They are really dragging this one out. Most of the episode was taken up with a totally ridiculous staged meeting of Andres and his new rival to Lola.

Daniel and León interview the lawyer and set it up for her to meet Andres without telling him that she is a babe. Andres is late and his phone battery is dead (he doesn't have a car charger?) so the babe lawyer leaves the restaurant in a huff and gets trapped in an elevator with Andres. The elevator doesn't have an alarm or one of those phones you can call for help so Andres has to climb out of the car and do something to get help. The babe lawyer has a panic attack and has to take off her jacket revealing her skimpy blouse (I thought it was her underwear at first).

While waiting for help, Andres tells the babe lawyer about his fianceé and baby to make her forget her anxiety. They get rescued and Andres carefully does not find out her name so that we can have the big surprise when she comes to the office to meet the boss of Exportex and finds out it is her elevator savior.

- If this is typical of what the writers have in store, I would say that a baby kidnapping is a certainty.

For the rest, the doomed romances got some play. Adelita flouted the bad luck to accept Lopez's wedding dress gift and ignored Daniel at the gym. It looks like Rodrigo is going to make a big mistake and get it on with Sofía.

The police have to release Ramon because they find out that they have no evidence against him. The maid firmly and wisely declines to testify.

Rodrigo is supposed to be following Ramon after he is released but he totally misses the meeting of Ramon and Felix at a hot dog stand. Felix tells Ramon to stay away from his family.

Ángel has some kind of plan to mess up Lola and Ándres getting married. He is also interested in getting rid of the Noriega family who know too much about his crimes.

Débora calls up Lola and tells her that she has Soledad again.

That was about it.

LA CASA DE AL LADO – martes

NEWS FLASH: RICARDO MARINO IS ALIVE AND KICKING – AND DIEGO REALLY IS HIS SON... well maybe

Javier gets double-teamed by Pilar and Rebeca.
Pilar softens him up and Rebeca goes in for the kill. Under the threat of outing him as the father of her (possibly) pretend baby, he withdraws his charges against Gonzalo.

Pilar and the suitors
So now Pilar has Javier eating out of her hand and Gonzalo waiting in the wings. And who should she meet on the street but Ricardo Merino himself, alive, apparently well, and asking after his son! Pilar, Pilar, Pilar! Are we finally going to find out your story?

Meanwhile, Rebeca has located the safe deposit box that goes with the mysterious key hidden in the library book. The bank won’t tell her who is renting the box but, incredibly, allows her to open it. Inside she finds the missing notebook of nurse Teresa Sandoval, the notebook she had with her the night she was killed. And there’s a note too -- whatever it says, it leaves Rebeca impactada.

Carola’s reality check: Men seldom make passes at girls who kick asses.
She catches a glimpse of a very attractive young lady running into Omar’s arms. Ouch.
She is rebuffed by Gonzalo. Yowza.
Cashing Renato’s checks isn’t the slam-dunk she expected – is she going to get caught? Or just get sent away empty-handed and then have to face Ismael’s disappointment and rejection? Uh oh.

Nibaldo and Karen, AKA Dumb and Dumber, bungle the baby-snatching. The kid makes it in one piece to the Casa Conde to the unwelcoming arms of her depressed mother, flanked by her clueless father, delusional Auntie and Grannie Gorgon.

Mabel has reconsidered – now she’s seriously considering introducing Renato to his biological son. Renato is worrying about Igor’s feelings. As it turns out, this worry may be unnecessary...

Gonzaki: what he lacks in imagination he makes up for in maldad
Iñaki is inspired by the Chuncler book to try to kill Igor by injecting him with a fatal dose of insulin. Ignacia walks in just after the fact. Can she save Igor?

MI CORAZON INSISTE:

Jean, that must have been terrible waiting for that train! I hope you had a Kindle or Ipod or something like that to help pass the time.

We now know the new girl is Diana Mirabal. The actress playing her is Carolina Tejera, who was recently seen by some of us on Alguien Te Mira as Valeria, the skinny blond model, also coke addict, but nice. When Andres asks if she were flirting (coqueteando), she said yes, but por lo mas alto, which means "in the best way", or "with style".

Lola agreed to a double wedding with Adelita, but wouldn't agree to wear the same dress, since they're different people (and she knows Adelita's dress is cursed :)

I agree that Berta was smart not to testify, and that Rodrigo's plan to follow Ramon isn't working too well.

After telling Lola he was totally in love with her, but being shot down, Angel said he'd NEVER say that again. How long is that going to last, especially if Andres starts up with Diana.

The preview showed the rest of Debora and Angel's plan to stop the wedding, so we'll find out tonight what it is.

LA CASA DE AL LADO:

NovelaMaven, I LOVED your recap! You have such a funny way of putting all the characters in their respective places. Also, I didn't remember the name Teresa Sandoval, so thanks for reminding me she was that nurse who kept that journal. Adolfo sure is brazen to just give it to Rebeca, although maybe he's changed a few things.

I guess pharmacists (or pharmacy workers) aren't doing too well these days, as Gonzalo's $100 bill prompted the lady to forget all laws or ethical rules, and give him insulin and a needle.

We now found out how much Nibaldo was being paid by Ignacia. The second (bigger) check was $50,000.00. He had to give both checks back to Ignacia after failing to kidnap the child, and Ignacia tore them up. But he had told Yolanda that Renato gave him the big check to deposit, and Renato later told Yolanda he didn't give Nibaldo any big check. Nibaldo's in hot water again with Yolanda.

Karen was so funny on her little adventure. She though it was just like a movie, and after she put on the nurse's outfit and walked past some people without being detected, she said to herself in English "I am a nurse". Too bad she gave Nibaldo the "chamaco" (little boy), instead of a girl. Didn't she read the labels on the bassinets?

For that matter, now that the child is at the mansion, Ignacia could still have her kidnapped.

When Carola gave the checks to the bank guy and he made a phone call, Renato answered his cell. But it was Mabel (typical telenovela tease).

I can't begin to figure out what Gonzalo's goal is. If he wanted revenge against the Condes for ruining his father's life, now he decides to KILL his (supposed) father? Adolfo's goals aren't much clearer, but at least he's enjoying himself. I wonder if he dares reveal that Gonzalo is Inaki to the family, since he's now mad at Inaki for shooting him?

LA CASA

Thanks, Hombre.

I can't begin to figure out what Gonzalo's goal is. If he wanted revenge against the Condes for ruining his father's life, now he decides to KILL his (supposed) father?

Yes, it's very weird. The damage to the Conde family has been largely psychological but the Mora family is spilling its own blood: Iñaki and Ismael murdered Iván; Iñaki shot himself and almost died from the wound; Iñaki shot Ismael; Igor has been close to death various times at the hands of Ismael and Iñaki.

And then there are all the minor and not so minor characters the Mora boys have bumped off (or at least we think they did): the gardener, the crooked cop who was investigating the gardener's death, the guy who abducted Ignacia when she was pregnant, Ignacia's fortune-teller, would-be sperm donor Pablo, nurse Teresa, Rosa Munita Yen, Danilo, the people killed in the hotel fire, and poor dear Matías.

Only Emilio has suffered real physical harm but we know that had nothing to do with Ismael or Iñaki.

MI CORAZON-
Thanks Hombre. I had an iphone, an ipod and and ipad so I was well supplied with electronic gizmos to pass the time.

I thought I recognized the actress who plays the babe lawyer, Diana Mirabal. She played the evil Eva Granados in Gata Salvaje (my first telenovela) in 2002. She has filled out a little since then. According to Wikipedia, she had a baby. She was so thin in Gata Salvaje it was painful to watch. The comic relief character in Gata, the maid, Panchita, used to refer to her character as, 'senora muerta de hambre,' 'Mrs. Starving to death.' [Telefutura is rebroadcasting Gata right now so I am not remembering this from back then.]

MI CORAZÓN INSISTE

Carolina Tejera (Diana Mirabal) was also in Aurora as Sonya Smith's sister. so far, I like her character. loved seeing Andres flirt with someone else. He and Lola pairing doesn't do anything for me.

MI CORAZÓN

btw, I agree with you Jean. seems like they're prolonging this novela, and going on the fly, as they did with Aurora.

LA CASA DE AL LADO – miércoles

Igor Mora QEPD
The doctor confirms it – poor Igor is dead. Did the viewer know he was diabetic? (I kept hoping he was only unconscious and a quick-witted doctor would revive him with an infusion of glucose. Sigh.)

Renato grieves for his old friend. Mabel pretends indifference when Iñaki gives her the news but, alone in her car, she weeps. Even Ismael seems grief-stricken when Mabel passes the news to him. Only murderous Iñaki remains cool, dispassionately taking charge of funeral arrangements for the grateful Conde family.

Ignacia finds Igor’s death suspicious although, as usual, she blames the wrong person, in this case, Adolfo.

Rebeca has all the pieces. Will she solve the puzzle? Will she live long enough to do so?
Rebeca has been trying to reach Gonzalo all day. She has to tell him about the disturbing note in the safe deposit box. When she arrives at the Conde house, she is stunned by the news of Igor’s insulin-related death. Whoa. Just like in the Chuncler book. Just what she described to Gonzo...

And what was the important thing she had to tell him? Just this: The note with Teresa’s little book accuses Gonzalo of her murder!

The Conde sisters overhear this exchange. Gonzalo? A murderer?

Carola’s caper is a success
However she discovers that bilking pops out of buckets of bucks was only the first part of the initiation. The second part: get back at Gonzalo. Carola doesn’t understand – Ismael and Gonzalo barely know each other. Is he jealous because Gonzo replaced him in Ignacia’s affections so quickly? Well anyway, the bastard rejected Carola so she’s on board. But wait ... Ismael wants to hit Gonzo where it hurts. And that means getting at Pilar. Carola appears to waver...

Emilio invites Omar into the Conde home “to help Carola”. I still think Omar’s hiding something.

Everyone ignores Hilda’s suicidal depression. Yolanda thinks she just needs a good scolding; Ignacia and Eva smell blood in the water.

Bowling for Bonding
Oh man, what a painful scene. Diego suffers. Javier is insufferable. When they get back home, Diego knows for sure that his father will never love him.

Pilar is still trying to recover from her encounter with Ricardo Merino. (He is the one who abducted Diego! He is the one who keeps leaving roses on her pillow!) Gonzo sees Ricardo manhandling Pilar outside the house and rushes to her defense. Ricardo runs away. But later Pilar finds yet another rose on her pillow.

Mabel tells Iñaki not to worry about being exposed. She was planning to introduce someone else to Renato as her firstborn and his son. (And I continue to wonder if indeed someone else actually is her firstborn...)

LA CASA DE AL LADO:

Great summary, NovelaMaven. They sure do keep us guessing. Some other interesting moments:

--Javier started out okay with the bowling, but after Diego threw a gutterball, the next time Javier demanded at least a six. Very sternly. At home, he pretended everything had gone just swimmingly.

==Yolanda wheedled out from Nibaldo that Ignacia wanted him to steal Hilda's baby (who still doesn't have a name, btw). Later, Yolanda threatened Ignacia, her boss, that she'd better stay away from that baby, since Yolanda knows "everything".

==If Ricardo Merino's life was so ruined, he sure looks fine now, physically fine, and he doesn't look poor. Also, Pilar never really denies he's Diego's father, always just says things like "never say that again."

==I wonder what Omar's plan is? I agree, he may not be who he says he is. Emilio got him in the house, but now what.

==Gonzalo actually did have a few moments of intense regret after killing Igor, but he got over it.

==Eva told Hilda to nurse her baby (she used the word alimentar, which means feed, rather than amamantar, which is suckle or breastfeed, maybe due to her prim and proper personality). Hilda refused. Later, Eve told Emilio to file for sole paternity and get rid of that lowlife Hilda.

==Ignacia got to care for the baby for a while, telling her she could be the best Mom the baby could have.

MI CORAZON INSISTE:

Lola has called off the wedding, but Debora told her not to call the police. So she has to lie to all sorts of people, such as Etelvina, Pepe, Sofia. Adelita knows, as does Rodrigo, but neither of them can tell Fulgencio, who wonders why the cops are now monitoring Lola's telephones.

The noose gets a little tighter around Ramon. Vicki goes to visit him, disguised as a maid, and he gets turned on by her uniform (she get's turned off). She gives him money, and they just need a little more to go to San Francisco. But the cops have been following Vicki. Also, they follow Ramon to an illegal card game, but instead of busting him, they decide to let him lose all his money first.

Diana decides to get in shape, goes to the nearest gym, and of course it's Lola's. She doesn't know who Lola is, but tells her she wants to get in shape to impress her hot boss, whom she wants to separate from his wife, or novia, or whatever. Lola doesn't like this homewrecking attitude, and later, when Andres shows up, Diana has a very awkward moment when she realizes what she said. That won't stop her from going after Andres, though.

Debora wants to do some damage to Soledad, but Felix says no, he answers only to Angel, who said not to touch the dame.

Mi Corazon
Jean: I knew the Diana Mirabal actress looked familiar--Gata Salvaje was my first novela too and I vaguely remember her in that. I think she also played a villain on Fantasma de Elena.
Didn't Diana also tell Lola that she wanted to get in good shape in case he eventually saw her in the nude?
That's called forward-thinking career development.
:o)
J in Oregon

Mi Corazon: Even though I don't understand Spanish, I could tell from Lola's skeptical face that Diana was spouting inappropriate comments. I wonder if Diana and Angel have a secret history, if they worked together for Tiberio and if Angel had her apply to Andres' company as his break-up scheme. She could even be Angel's stand-by girlfriend. A cat fight between Diana and Debora over Andres could be really fun.

I also miss handsome devil Tiberio -- I wish he lived long enough to reform and beg forgiveness from Soledad. I also wanted to know about his childhood -- if abuse turned him into a monster.

Ramon and Vicki are such lovable scoundrels -- Ramon's getting turned on by Vicki's maid uniform was a hoot.

Mary

MI CORAZON - jueves
Lola meets Diana with predictable results: Lola makes it clear that Andres is hers and Diana makes it clear that she is interested and doesn't care. Diana signs up for a membership at the gym.

Later, at a restaurant, Lola is catty about Diana's job qualifications. Andres tells Lola that turnabout is fair play - he was jealous of her and her two deceased husbands. Now she is jealous of him and his babe lawyer. They make up.

The police believe that watching Ramon is the key to finding Debora and Vicky. They almost catch Vicky after she makes another money drop to Ramon.

Angel is getting fed up with the needy Noriegas - Ramon needs money and Debora's demands for action by Angel need to be managed.

After Angel points out to Debora that her plan to keep Lola from marrying Andres worked great except that he is living in her house and sleeping with her, just like they were married. Debora ratchets up the threats.

She intuits when Andres and Lola will be going to bed and calls Lola. She threatens to kill Soledad unless Lola stays away from Andres.

Andres doesn't see why they should capitualte to the demands of a wacko but Lola is terrified that something will happen to Soledad. Andres leaves her house and goes with Camilo to Rodrigo's house.

Unfortunately, at that moment, Rodrigo and Sofia are in bed together since Rodrigo couldn't resist Sofia's pleading.

Rodrigo pleads a headache and a stomach ache. Andres and Camilo leave but not before Camilo figures out that Rodrigo has a woman in his bedroom from smelling a woman's perfume. It's not clear if he recognizes it as Sofia's perfume.

Daniel makes a boorish attempt to get Adelita back which backfires when Adela decides to consummate her romance with Lopez.

Angel meets Diana. He is obviously impactado and it is not clear whether he knows her or is just impressed by her good looks.

That's about all I can remember.

MI CORAZON INSISTE:

Thanks for the recapette, Jean, good job of remembering. I don't think Angel and Diana know each other, but if they do, we'll remember you predicted it first. It would be a good twist.

This show was almost like coitus interruptus. Lola and Andres were just about to do the deed when Debora's phone call ruined that. Rodrigo and Sofia had actually done it (I think) and were ready for round two when Andres and Camilo showed up (I do believe he recognized the perfume as Sofia's). As to our third couple, Fulgencio and Adelita, I'm going to predict something will stop them before they reach lift-off.

Angel told Vicky to tell Ramon he was giving him more money this time, but after this, he's on his own. Ramon tells Vicki, we're leaving, and if Debora wants to stick around and get caught, that's her problem. We'll see if Vicki agrees to this. It's amazing Vicki, in heels, could get away from that cop Mora.

Lola's gold minidress was so short she had to hold a small purse in front of her while she walked!

Sofia also looked much hotter than previously, in a one shoulder soft dress. Adelita had a sailor-like (but black and white) outfit for her night of passion.

LA CASA DE AL LADO:

Emilio tells Hilda he's going to file for sole custody of the baby. Hilda say's do it, you can have her. Eva's happy. But later, after Nibaldo shows Hilda some warmth and support (thus also getting back in Yolanda's good graces), Hilda touches the baby, and seems to have second thoughts.

Omar's plan consisted of recording Carola while drunk, then giving her the recording. I'm not sure if this will actually help.

Although Rebeca's message from Teresa says that Gonzalo killed her, Carola doesn't believe it. She knows Adolfo sent it, and thinks Adolfo killed Teresa. But Adolfo tells her that Gonzalo is not who he seems to be.

So a bunch of people have mild doubts about Gonzalo, but not enough to prove anything. At the wake, Mabel shows up with an actor whom she introduces to Renato as Inaki Mora. Gonzalo's not too bothered by this until he asks Renato to unburden himself, and Renato says, that was my son. Gonzalo's world is exploding, because he knows that really means that HE is Renato's son!!!!

MI CORAZÓN - JUEVES

This is the only novela I've managed to stay current on. Very busy week. It's great that El Mundo de Telemundo is set up with clear headings so we can scroll down, miss spoilers for the episodes saved on the DVR and comment on the ones we have seen.

Wow, Babe Lawyer looks different from Druggy Model in Alguien te Mira. I wouldn't have remembered her if I hadn't read a comment. Different hair and a more "healthy" appearance.

I'm tired of the plot right now. I actually miss Rugeles. I definitely miss Apolo and Agapito. In other words, the comic relief is gone! Crazy Débora in the black wig is waaaay over the top. And I'm sick of Ángel as well. The stupidity of having Félix mousse up his hair and run his fingers through it as a disguise is beyond dumb. Couldn't he have shaved the beard?

And it looks like they're getting ready for the obvious. Andrés, sexually frustrated by Lola's reaction to Débora's threat, is going to be much more amenable to Diana's efforts to bed him.

LA CASA DE AL LADO -- jueves

Hombre, thanks for your nut jobs in a nutshell summary. Nicely done, as usual.

So if Gonzalo thinks he's Renato's son, with the next turn of his clinking cognitive wheels he'll conclude that Ig and Carola are his half-sisters. That should make for some major gnashing of teeth.

When is Renato finally going to let the Conde kids know they are adopted? Since they are all emotionally stunted, they will certainly take the news badly. And Eva will lose whatever maternal capital she has gained with Emilio at Hilda's expense. (Eva set my teeth on edge last night when she talked about erasing Hilda from their lives.)

I am rooting for Hilda's recovery and I hope you're right, Hombre, about seeing a glimmer of hope in that scene with the baby. That scene could go three ways:
1. Just a tease and nothing happens.
2. As we hope, Hilda's feels a welling-up of mother love for her baby.
3. Or more ominously, Hilda is there to rescue her daughter from all her sorrows -- that is, to kill her.

And at the Ruiz house, Ricardo Merino has graduated from sneaking in through windows and leaving single roses. Now he has the chutzpah to arrive at the front door with a full bouquet! Is it too much to hope for a confrontation between Ricardo and Javier with each inflicting as much damage as possible on the other?

MI CORAZON - Thanks Hombre for the fashion commentary. Those dresses of Lola are so incredibly skimpy and they look so uncomfortable. Imagine wearing something where you can't take a deep breath or all will be revealed either at the top or the bottom!

Yes, the cops were so inept at the motel. Why did they reveal themselves to Vicky? Once Vicky had gotten in Felix's car, why did the cop not follow immediately instead of using the radio and then getting in the car to try and follow. You could use the radion in the car. Of course, we know the answer - it's not time yet for Angel's lair to be discovered.

I agree, Novelera, that it is likely and disappointingly predictable that Andres will end up in Diana's bed at some point.

FLOR SALVAJE miercoles & jueves

Since Novelera is busy, I will take a shot at this one from memory. This is a so much more complicated and nuanced story than Mi Corazon. I think Novelera and I are the only two people watching it, though.
I will make no attempt to put the events in the right order.

Attempt on Rafa's life
Catalina shoots Rafael, wounding him pretty badly. Rafa is more interested in finding the shooter (he thinks it is Cat) than getting medical attention. Finally, he passes out and Jose Maria is summoned.

Cat leaves the gun at the huge strangler fig tree where she waited in ambush. She sends Luisa out to get rid of it but she doesn't really do that. She just hides it better in the tree.

Jose Maria takes Rafa to Timotes where he is operated on.

There are a lot of reactions as people find out about what happened. Sacto comes to Rafa's house because he believes Cat was the shooter. They end up passionately kissing in the living room witnessed by the weasily-faced servant.

Of course, Mariano comes to investigate. It doesn't take him very long to discover that Cat was responsible and she doesn't deny it. Instead of arresting her, he enlists her as an ally against Rafa.

The weasily guy visits Rafa and tells him that he saw Sacto and Cat in each others arms. Rafa can't understand why Cat wasn't arrested. I think Rafa tells weasily guy to kill Sacto.

Rocio runs for mayor
Rocio decides to run against her brother for mayor of the district. Zahra supports this decision and she and Rocio go to Timotes for Rocio to file her candidacy papers and for Zahra to see Rafa.

El cabaret los cuatro P
Amanda has the grudging support of some of the girls. The girls are set to redecorating the place as a class joint. When one of them objects, Amanda fires her.

On the big opening night, the Governor shows up. I didn't see that much difference in the decor or the dancing although Flor was spectaclar as what I guess was an angel.

Pablo gets drunk and avows his love for Flor in front of everyone. Flor runs after him and they kiss in the street where Lucia can see them.

Piruettas decides to produce a novela for the radio. He has try outs and Manuela, Ana and all the chicas at the 4P's except Malicia get parts. Malicia knows that Piruettas is getting back at her for her relationship with Enrique.

In a funny scene, Manuela is reading the script in front of the mirror and Frigida overhears her saying that she is pregnant. Manuela claims she was reading a story they are using in school.

Finally, Enrique's father comes to town to bring his son back to the capital to take over the newspaper that the father runs. Enrique doesn't want to leave, though.

I'm sure there was a lot more but that's what I recall.

FLOR SALVAJE:
I realize I'm starting late in the game, but I'm beginning to watch Flor Salvaje. Where can I find a regular recap for this?
Thanks

Mariquita:

About FLOR SALVAJE --

There are mini-recaps for most (but not all) episodes of FLOR within the weekly posting. For example, if you go to the current week (our link is just over Colunga's photo on the sidebar), and scroll down the comments, you'll find Novelera has clearly labeled summaries for last Friday, this Monday and this Tuesday. Rand just added a comment about last night's show.

Jean and I take turns posting this page weekly. Since she is watching Flor, her postings often contain a mini-cap of the show. (I'm sitting this one out.)

Bottom line: Look for summaries within the comments. And by all means, please feel free to chime in with your own mini-summary or just add a word or two about the show or what other people have written -- We'd all be happy to have you on board (especially Novelera who at times feels she's the only one watching Flor. Not true, I know, but it feels that way when no one comments.)

(We are covering all the primetime Telemundo shows -- Mi Corazón Insiste, Flor Salvaje and La casa de al lado -- so we try to remember to label each post clearly. That way you can follow what interests you and not get bogged down in the rest.)
