La Fuerza del Destino #82 Tue 11/29/11 Everyone Changes Their Position on Everything and MP Nearly Gets Another Notch on Her Bedpost

All- Gloria was unable to get a recap up this evening, so I am providing these bullet points based on what I remember. I likely forgot some things and things are out of order. Please feel free to add anything I’ve forgotten.

-MP, Camilo and Ivan all get their wounds tended by family and doctors. MP is turned on by the idea of two lions fighting over their female (hembra), especially two lions with such amazing bodies.
-Lucia comes home to the news of the fight and first asks how Ivan is. She goes to check-in on Camilo who is on the phone with Celia. Celia wants him to go with her and Caro to Mexico City tomorrow for Caro’s operation (seems Caro changed her mind about not going without Antolin). Cam can’t because he is too battered.
-Lucia hears his half of the conversation, ignores his jealous interrogation about why she was in Ivan’s car, and decides that SHE will go to D.F. with Caro. Camilo immediately thinks Ivan will be going with her and gets even more crazy with jealousy.
-Camilo seems to have changed his mind about Carmen marrying Saul, because now he’s pressuring her to do it so that he can become the Ag Assoc president and get lots of money and power like Ivan. That’ll show Lucia!
-Carmen also seems to have changed her mind and decides she will not marry that delinquent.
-Tony decides to go with Caro and Lucia to D.F. He’ll rent a private plane to take them early the next morning.
-Tony and Carly decide that they had a huge part in causing this mess between Lucia-Ivan-Camilo, and they need to try to fix it.
-MP catches a mostly naked Camilo in his room and starts to skank all over him. He can’t move much because of his bruises, but does respond to her kisses. Next thing you know, they’re naked under the sheets and making out.
-Carly comes to talk to Camilo and hears him and MP panicking and getting ready to shove MP out the window. Carly busts in and starts yelling up a storm, bringing Lucia (who was on the phone with insistent Ivan) and Lucrezia running. Everyone is impactada at the sight of half naked Camilo and MP.
-Lucrezia kicks MP out of the house that very night, even after she insists that things didn’t go further than kissing. Lucrezia also tries to downplay what happened with Carly.
-Carly thinks this is the perfect opportunity for Lucia to get a divorce and move on to Ivan. Lucia continues to be stuck in limbo. She’s depressed and tired of BOTH men. She just wants to be alone with her daughter, with her women folk, and without problems.
-After Lucia leaves the next morning, Carly kicks Camilo out of the house AND takes away his ranch admin job and gives it to Ezekiel.
-Ivan and Celia visit Antolin in prison. He’s happy Caro went for the surgery. He’s antsy to get out of jail. Celia and Ivan tell him about Caro’s inheritance from Gerry. This actually complicates his case because it provides even more motive for why he would kill Gerry.
-The lawyers prove that Anto’s lock was forced. It helps a little, but not a lot. In order to show that Anto was not desperate for money, Ivan and Tony decide to (lie) say that Tony had already offered to pay for Caro’s surgery long ago. They get their story straight with Anto.
-Cute engineer asks Judith out again. She puts him off since MP has just called her crying and wants to see her. Cutie pie engineer is not deterred and makes a date with Judith for tomorrow instead.
-Judith and MP have dinner in her hotel room. Judith scolds MP for trying to get it on with her sister’s husband. She just did it to bug Lucia. MP still wants to get her a big hunk of Camilo pie.
-Camilo commiserates with JJ. Will these two be plotting with each other soon?
-In D.F., Caro’s doctor says the outlook is good before and after the surgery. As with the last time, Caro will not be able to fly back to Alamos when she is released in two days. Tony decides to ask Ivan to come pick them up.
-Lucia seems both excited and scared by the idea.
-When Tony presents Ivan with the idea he is hesitant, because he doesn’t want to be pushy with Lucia. He feels he’s pushed enough and now the ball’s in her court. Tony also changes his position on things and tells Ivan to keep fighting for Lucia.
-Camilo and Anto talk about implicating Saul and Gordo. Anto still refuses because it would lead to Carmen.
-Anto can’t believe Camilo was stupid enough to fall into MP’s trap. Camilo says he’s a man, isn’t he?! And he hasn’t had nookie in months! Anto tells him how he hasn’t touched a woman in YEARS since he’s been in love with Caro, and that doesn’t make HIM less of a man. (Take that Camilo!) He advises Camilo to let Lucia go if she is in love with Ivan. Camilo can’t force her to love him.
-When Celia finds out the reason Camilo was run off Ranch Curiel, she starts to knock him upside the head. Later she calls Ivan and tells him that Camilo and Lucia are caput. Ivan then looks a little more willing to make that drive to D.F.

Avances: Lucia and Ivan make up and make out.

Thank you Vivi for the wonderful recap, you really didn't miss a thing. Oh, That Merry Piece! What a skank, and to lay it all on Judith who was in love with Camilo herself. Ugh! Camilo deserves everything he gets including the beating upside the head by his Mama. Maybe Carmen has come to her senses finally about Saul.If Camilo becomes Ag Assoc president he can really complicate things for Ivan and Tony. In the previews did Camilo say if he can't have Lucia, Ivan won't either. I can see a custody battle coming even though Camilo is not the biological father of little Perlita.

Madelaine

You got it all, Vivi. Thanks mucho.

Who would have thought that Carmen would ever be the Voice of Reason?!

Ivan and Lucia and Caro should just stay in the big city. Anto can join them when he gets out of jail, and bring Perlita and Alex with him. They'd all do well to stay the heck away from Alamos. Leave Camilo and MP to get "revenge" using each other miserably ever after.

Thanks Vivi for the recap, you captured everything.
It sure doesn't look good for Cam. I think he's planning some mischief, going to JJ was a bad sign.

Madelaine- Indeed, Camilo did say the standard "if I can't have her, he can't either" line. Between that, the threat to take Perlita from Lucia, and his little chat with JJ, things are not looking good for Camilo's survival in this tn.

Julia- When Carmen is the Voice of Reason, then you know something is wrong.

Ivan and Camilo could both learn some self control when it comes to women from Antolin. I think it's funny because Anto is the one who exposed them to their first sexual encouters when they turned 13 by bringing them to one of his prositute friends. Now as adults, these two are like horny rabbits who can't keep it in their pants or take the time to woo a woman properly. But Anto has barely had a few chaste make-out sessions with Caro and has never pushed the subject of sex (but instead marriage) in all these years he's been courting her.

Thanks, Vivi; I can't think of a thing you missed.

Camilo has gone way over into delusional. He can't get custody of Perla and the threat now makes him no better than Merry Piece. Sad.

Changing his mind about Carmen marrying Saul makes him no better than his suegra. I initially thought Carlota went overboard in tossing him out altogether but I now agree with her.

The Curiel women are like a herd of elephants. The matriarch, Carlota, learned to stand alone after the death of her Teodoro and is in ho hurry to change this. Lucrazia had no use for her husband once the girls were born. Like Livia Soprano "She wore him down to a little nub" but then divorced him. Merry Piece is willing to marry for money, but otherwise behaves as though she were single. She has no emotional connective skills or desire. Lucia is just fed up with male competitive BS and -- for now anyway -- just wants to be left alone with her daughter and her elders.

Gerry didn't get quite strong enough after the divorce to stand up to Carolina's craziness at the time, but he recovered enough to be a good father to Alex.

JJ is weak also because his insecurity is what drives his control-freakiness, making him tear down everyone around him. Bet he got kicked out of his original herd in a bad way.

The three males who got stronger by confronting adversity are Ivan, David, and Tony. Jury is out on Antolin, whose weakness is his inability to make an honest living.

"Jury is out on Antolin, whose weakness is his inability to make an honest living."

Indeed Urban, that is Anto's biggest flaw. If only he could see the value of the straight and narrow and get on it! Then he would be perfect. *Sigh!*

Tks Vivi,

I don't understand about Antolín's locks, doesn't he live with Celia? Did they break into the house or his room, or is this one of those murky TN things?

Variopinta

Variopinta- Antolin has his own apartment. He just comes over to the house for meals.

Carlota was correct to throw Camilo out:

He had already been caught kissing Maripaz in the stables and chastized for it (and warned to stay away from MP by Antolin and I think Carlota)

His fights with Lucia about Ivan have been escalating almost to the point of physical violence (although Carly probably doesn't know about that.)

He had a fist fight with Ivan at the ranch, resulting in himself, Ivan and Maripaz being injured.

Now he's been caught bucknaked with Maripaz in his bedroom, after having whined and cried about Lucia...and later on blamed LUCIA (to Antolin) not sleeping with him as to why he had to stick Maripaz...and IMO Camilo & Maripaz WERE having sex no matter what either of them claim.

Basically Camilo is going back to the dark, depressed bitter loser Camilo we first met as an adult...the guy whose first wife left him b/c he lost his job.

Camilo is dumb for actually thinking after all that he would be able to stay in the house & keep his job. He'll probably blame the Curiels for why his life sucks instead of looking in the mirror.

I wouldn't be surprised at this point if Camilo turned out to be Lucia's rapist.

Good for Judith for telling Maripaz that she only went after Camilo to hurt Lucia and she needs to stop.

You got it all...thanks Vivi!!!

Camilo has really lost it. With Cam thinking as he is now, would he be capable of killing Lucia and then taking his own life, or killing Ivan??? But if he does the latter he will surely never win Lucia. How can he believe becoming successful will win him Lucia. It's his jealousy that's killing it all and the fact that she loves Ivan.

But as we all know, Lucia and Ivan will end up together.

Maybe his plan won't work and he will be the only one dead.

Right now he's capable of anything.

Ann-NYC

I sometimes I think that the only reason Camilo “fell in love” with Lucia is because she was Ivan’s girl. He has always been jealous/envious of Ivan and wanted what Ivan had. Lucia personified all of that (beautiful, pure, sweet, educated, rich). In his head, if he could conquer the love Lucia has had for Ivan since she was 7 years old, the he would be conquering Ivan. To me this means that he was never really in love with Lucia at all, just obsessed with what she represents.

Anon2017 - I'm intrigued by your possibility of Camilo being Lucia's rapist. That would be quite the twist! I guess it could happen - Camilo does have that "dark" streak running through him. Also, we haven't had any hint at all that it was Saul or Gordo, either.

Thanks for recapping both last night and Monday's episodes Vivi. I'm appalled at Cam's behavior. The writers are really setting him up to die.

It is great how Anton is the one of the few males in this TN who understands restraint. Now he just needs to go legit.

I don't see Camilo as Lucia's rapist. The guy he was at that time would never have done such a thing and been able to live with it. That's more like Saul and his fat sidekick, neither of whom ever had a conscience.

I actually don't think Lucia was raped. I think Saul set her up to think so. He never got over her rejection. I think got the drug slipped into her beer and when the time came couldn't get an erection. Therefore, he drove her car back to her house, removed her panties, and walked home from there in the dead of night.

This leaves her with a hole in her memory and could potentially have created serious anxieties about what happened. I'm sure he didn't count on Cleto and Carlota making the discovery and covering it up. He doesn't talk about it for obvious reasons.

It would be a dramatic reveal if a DNA test disclosed that Camilo is the father of Perla, but if that were the case, why would he fight it?

I agree that Camilo was not the guy who drugged and took Lucia. He wants to change the feelings she has for Ivan and make her have feelings for him, not take her by force.

It would be a dramatic reveal if a DNA test disclosed that Camilo is the father of Perla, but if that were the case, why would he fight it?
-------------------

Because he assumes Perlita is Ivan's baby, along with everyone else.

I believe whatever goes down with Camilo, Perlita will be involved.

We may find out soon about Perlita. It looked like in the avances there was a scene with Ivan angrily crumpling a sheet of paper. The dna test?

But please don't let Camilo be the rapist father! That's too much. Sure, he's been getting all jealous and crazy lately, but he started out as a nice guy who (too) deeply loves Lucia, and he's been getting used by her. Antolin may be ok with going years without, but he's part god. Normal people (Camilo) have a right to be annoyed when the significant other turns her heads every time he tries to kiss her. For all Lucia's talk about staying with him and the marriage, she sure wasn't giving it much effort. SHe must not have been looking when he had his shirt off.

Kelly

I think Lucia was serious about staying with Camilo and giving a real marriage a go, initially. She probably would have stuck with this plan, too, had he not turned into such a jackass. She was less available to him for awhile due to having a new baby and other things taking all her time and attention, but still she swore she wasn't going to leave him, and I think she meant it. She isn't exactly the most emotion-driven person, so I don't think she would have left Camilo just because she's more into Ivan. But then Camilo turned super jealous and ragey even though it was completely reasonable that she didn't want to get busy all the time after just having a baby, making himself less lovable, and now she'd have to be crazy to want to stay with him. No supermodel quality of ab definition can make up for his current behavior. Ugh. He's the worst.

Vivi, I agree that Camilo wanted Lucia because of his jealousy of Ivan. He didn't even really know her when he decided he was in love with her...really from what he'd seen, she was pretty much the same as Judith. Yet Judith held no appeal whatsoever.

Loved Antolin telling him off.

---------------------------

Carlota told Lucia the Camilo/MP hookup was her ticket out of the marriage and Lucia was all like "well I'on't know about that, I'm just tired wah wah wah."

Lucia doesn't want to make things happen, she just lets things happen.

I don't think Camilo wanted Lucia because she was Iván's , I think he really fell for her. If he had remained a kind understanding husband, Lucia would not leave him, but he has just turned into a jealous asshole. I certainly don't think he is the rapist, that is Saul or God forbid Gordo. I doubt Gordo, all TN world would vomit & not in TN rules.

Camilo married a woman he loved because she was pregnant, doing her a big favor. He wanted her anyway.
This isn't Camilo's fault, it's the writers fault.

I love it when Celia slaps her kids around, they deserve it.

I just can't stand Lucia, who would want a whimpy sour puss.
Was the actress ever good in anything?

Variopnta

Yes, I also thought it telling that Lucia just wanted to be "left alone" rather than take her free ticket out of the marriage with Camilo. She really doesn't want to be in a relationship. She'd just rather hide at home with her baby and focus on her school work and have nothing to do with any adult men.

Thanks for the recap Vivi! Excellent capture of all the important stuff.

Audrey

I actually thought Sandra E. was fine as Jade in El Clon. She was a ditzy immature character, but a real firebrand at times, and pretty feisty. Definitely a different character.

Given her lines, like the bit about not taking advantage of the Camilo caught with MP situation, I think the character is written to be wimpy, mopey, unmotivated, and not willing to do anything unless pushed hard.

Lucia is written to be a character who shrinks when it comes to emotional turmoil or pressure. But I wouldn't say she's unmotivated. She managed to continue far with her education, even though the message from Lucrezia was that education and a job aren't important for a woman, who should just marry. (Very much a case of do as I say, not as I do.)Judith followed that path, and it would have been very easy for Lucia to do the same.

And she continues to work hard to finish her doctorate degree. We have seen how motivated she is to do that, to the point of completely ignoring Camilo. Lucia also dumped Saul. Had Ivan not come back into her life, I think she would have been perfectly content working with kids and living at home and being the emotional support for her family members. She doesn't like to rock the boat and she doesn't like anyone to rock hers (which MP and these men are doing).

That's true. She only seems unmotivated when it has to do with personal relationships and their inevitable conflicts.
