La Fuerza del Destino #92 Tue 12/13/11 There Will Be Blood…In Lucrezia’s Urine and When They Find Saul
Hey all,
Gloria had a death in the family and has been laid low by a migraine. I don’t have a lot of time for one of my detailed mini-recaps, so here are the key 10 things that happened in no particular order:
1) Ivan plans a romantic dinner at Casa McGuire for Lucia with Benito acting as waiter and serving them the finest water in the house. They dangle their legs in the pool, listen to a 2-man serenade, and kiss.
2) Lucrezia pees blood and faints. The doctor has her do tests.
3) Antolin unsuccessfully searches all over town, in every hotel and under every rock for Saul. He threatens Gordo that he'll do more than leave a scar next time if he's protecting Saul.
4) Lucia allows herself to remember the face of her attacker. It’s Saul of course. She tells Ivan.
5) Ivan goes searching for Saul at his house and tells Esther it will be on her conscience if she helps a rapist go free. Ivan and Antolin conclude Saul has skipped town.
6) Saul calls Esther and spins her some story that Lucia was drunk, she came looking for him, things just went too far, and he didn’t drug her. If Esther believes this bull she’s an idiot. He begs her for money.
7) Post hypnotherapy session, Lucia has Ivan hug her, then they discuss what it is she wants to do about Saul. She doesn’t want any contact with him, nor does she want Perla to have any contact with him. She must decide if she wants to pursue pressing charges against him.
8) The Ag Assoc calls a meeting about the findings of the audit and require JJ to be there.
9) Gordo takes Saul to the rundown house of some relative 30 kilometers outside of Hermosillo. Saul complains bitterly about the conditions, not having a car, and not having money. They decide to put their kidnap Alex plan in play in order to get quick cash.
10) Camilo refuses to give in to MP’s blackmail threats in a satisfying “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn!” moment.

Gloria, my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your family member. I will keep all of you in my prayers. I hope your migrane subsides quickly.
Vivi, thank you for highlighting he lowlights of yet another sad episode. ITA with you on everything, particularly Esther who has been reduced to a sniveling, pathetic fool.
I can only speak for myself but if I were the recipient of the icy glaze eminating from Anto's eyes, I would fess up - and quickly. Such menace in those limpid brown pools. For Gordo not to confess all, yet alone continue on the kidnapping plot is beyond comprehension. Perhaps another glance at the scar on his cheek may refresh his memory.

ITA Diana. Gordo is extremely stupid to cross Anto so many times. So is Saul. Neither of them is the sharpest tool in the shed. I am sure this kidnapping will be as disastrous as the last one. And I so wanted to slap Esther last night for still hanging around JJ (although it looks like she leaves him tonight), and for not calling bs on Saul, or at least helping Ivan and Co catch him by convincing him to tell her where he is.
Gloria my deepest condolences for your loss. As Diana stated, I hope your migraines stop.

Anon207- MP's old grilfriends brought up the fact that she: 1)never told them she was getting married, nor invited them to her wedding, nor told them she was leaving town; and 2) never contacted them the entire time she was away and has only now contacted them in the whole time she's been back. Then she whined about Lucia stealing her man, and they pointed out that Lucia was engaged to Ivan and SHE's the one who stole her sister's fiance. In general I think they only came to call her on her bs to her face and to make it clear they don't want to hear from her again.
I thought Maripaz said something to one of her friends about not going or being invited to their wedding, but I'm not certain on that. (And yes, she's thinner than Berenice...but not by much. Bernie's pretty much all hair and gams, though.)
Ah, thanks again for clearing that up, Vivi. (It at least seemed obvious that her "friends" definitely just wanted to GTFO the minute she bounced in.)
I thought Maripaz basically crashed the girls night out. The girls did say that they were miffed because they weren't invited to her wedding, but then the one girl added something to the effect of "nobody has anything nice to say about you so we don't want to socialize with you anyway", and the promptly left. Or so I thought that's what she said.
I can't believe Esther was covering for Saul. If she stopped for a moment and thought that this very same thing could happen to Judith (by a different guy), maybe she wouldn't have covered for him.
At this point I can't stand even watching Ivan and Lucia. Not sure how she can kiss him with those vampire teeth of his. I enjoy the Juan Jaime head bobbling and the incredulity that is Maripaz, much more.
Looking forward to La Que No Podia Amar and Talisman!

I wonder if this will be the beginning of the end for Lucrazy. I can't believe that Maripaz. What makes her think no man can leave her. All her threats make me livid!!! Bravo to Cam for telling her off.

I hope that Antolin doesn't get into too much trouble as he tries to put things right by his newly found relatives. Makes me nervous.
