Amorcito Corazón Discussion #74-78 July 30-Aug 3
Totally Tuqueue
The secret is out and practically everyone knows Ricky is really Tuqueue's daddy. Too bad Ricky has no heart. He continues to refuse to help. Ricky gets into a fight with Lala (who throws him out) and Moncho (who vows that if Willy isn't compatible, he will make Ricky give up a kidney.)
To make matters worse, the foundation will only pay 30% of the hospital costs. Willy will try to sell his car, but the Lala has the bright idea to ask Hoity Toity Horty for a loan. Hoity Horty agrees, but when she finds out Willy is to be the organ donor, she tells Willy she won't pay if he's the donor. It's too dangerous.
HH at HS
After Manny accuses HH of not loving her, the two ladies head to 'Nando's office. HH announces she's handing over all plenos poderes (full powers) to Manny to act as her representative. Manny is thrilled, but Horty warns her not to get cocky and not make any decisions without her say so. 'Nando assures Isa that Manny will NOT be Isa's boss
Gimmie and Leo
Gimmie is pithed. Not only is Leo alive, he's staying with Sarita. Gimmie and her lawyer get a court order to have "custody" of Leo given to Gimmie. They go to Isa's and take Leo.
Other Developments
- Knuckles has concocted this plan to keep away for awhile but leave clues about Marisol in his room so when Dad begins to worry, he'll call Marisol. The plan being once Marisol finds out that Knuckles has been gone a few days, she'll worry. She does and she calls Knuckles. Jaibo answers the phone and says he found it in a ditch.
- Ceci tells Zoe he still loves her.
- Mayela continues to irk me. She took money that was supposed to be for water then she grifted Beba telling her that they needed stuff for the house, but Lucia would get mad if they took money from Beba. I think Beba is about to become Mayela's personal cash cow.
- Isa runs into Rubén in a restaurant. HE'S A DAD!!! HE'S FINE!! THERE'S NO CURSE!! (Then why are there so many episodes left?)
- Beba receives a reply to her online dating profile. He's a fan of poetry and wants a poem and a picture.
Labels: Amorcito
Barbara is a prideful idiot. She refused to take a donation from Marisol.
Doris continues to charm me. She was so concerned about Sarita.
Pride is one of Brainless Barbs many faults. Since she's a child and isn't always awful (her oldest brother gets that honor) she'll probably be redeemed. Her refusal was probably more b/c it was Marisol than about the money.
ITA, Doris is great. I hate that she has such a huge anvil hanging over her dead but love that she's not being a doormat to EWM.
The Leo storyline went into crazy mode w/the literal kidnapping of him. What's the point when you know Gimme wants him dead? I hope they don't keep dragging this plot onwards b/c Leo's in bad shape and I want him to live to the end of the TN; I also never need to see Gimme and her bad wig ever again.
Anon 4:37pm - that was a hilarious commercial.
The guy Beba met on the internet is the police captain -- didn't see that one coming! And when she tried to turn on the webcam, it took a picture of Olga, the maid. No doubt hijinks will ensue.
I'm willing to give the online dating a chance, but I hope it doesn't get too goofy.
Karen, I hate that stupid wig! I had really hoped we were done with the Gimmie story line when she went to jail. I was sadly wrong. I hope Leo recovers soon, the actor is doing a disturbingly good job of portraying an incapacitated victim of Gimmie.
I cannot believe that Gimmie was able to get a court order to move poor Leo. Hopefully, the Isa Squad will get him out of her clutches. Yes, that is one ugly wig.
Doris is turning toward the light. Now if she would just fess up about being pregnant.
Willy is selling his soul (and body) to Horny! I wonder where that is going.
Rosemary Primera
I am hoping that Doris continues to work her way into Isa's heart and the hearts of the three Maria's so when she finally confesses about the fake pregnancy (which I really think she wants to do), she won't be gone forever.
BTW--Blue Lass, are you the one that said Mayela looked like Useless Chente in drag? Good call. That is exactly what she looks like.
---
In a way, I'm glad he didn't though. I think it is too soon and Beba might get hurt. I hope that in the end, Willy, Beba and Lucia can get past this and be friends and make the casa hogar a real success.
Anon, thanks for the Wm. Levy commercial. Loved it.
La Paloma
There sure are an awful lot of despicable characters in this TN -- way more than usual, it seems. Perhaps we have a grand conflagration o' villains coming.
Carmina Kill Count: 2
Carmina Lie Factor (on a scale from 1-10): 10+
Carmina lies and then backs it up with fake paperwork (DNA results.) She makes men believe the baby she's carrying is someone else's. Her lies result in grooms being shot at weddings.
Manuela Kill Count: 1
Manuela Lie Factor: 7ish. She lies, but so far they feel like standard high school/mean girl manipulations.
BTW, can you tag this post? It's not showing up on the Amorcito feed.
I've tried to keep away from this recap page, but had to take a look.
I can't stop laughing because I thought I was the only one that was mesmerized by "the wig", oh my can her hair be that bad? I don't remember the dialogue because I just stare at that wig. Having seen this now for the third time, I was still hoping someone would just tear it off her head. In other TN's being in jail for 5 minutes, if even in the holding cell, you are surrounded by the "evil" woman prisoners, I was surprised she wasn't.
Doris has turned, I was waiting for that, so much more to come.
I have to say whoever put this cast together, did a splendid job.
And now that you mention it, it *is* rather odd she didn't get accosted by the jail bad girls!
Blue Lass- "Despelucaficación" is the best word ever!
Who did she play in Atreveta a Soñar? I have the DVD, but it really is geared to folks far younger than I.
I wish Esperanza del Corazon was on DVD. :-( I want to see it.
New Character and hopefully the downfall or Jorrible alert!
The actress Carmen Becerra has joined us in the guise of Sabrina, the once ugly duckling. She is now almost un-recognizably attractive AND she works as a corredora (broker) of sacred art. I assume she will work AGAINST Jorrible. She could end up as a villain, but surely we have too many of those?
Wigsy and Leo
The custodial papers seem to be legit, but Ceci does doubt the legality of the action. Isa wants to fight for custody even if it means Leo ends up in a care facility during the interim. Wigsy just needs a month for the master forger to finish up the fake will (Am I right? I have so much trouble understanding Wigsy and her abogado.)
Ceci goes to Wigsy's house to check on the document and stubbornly refuses to leave. Wigsy gives her evil lawyer a call and he gets Ceci out of the house with the promise of meeting him and giving him the custody order. Once Ceci leaves, Wigsy gets Leo in Hector's car and they skedaddle out of town.
Horny
She finally gets Willy to agree to her disgusting proposition. Boy, Willy is a saint for this. Just sayin'
Manny catches Horny and Willy in smoochie flagrante, but really nothing major happens. Manny just has a little trump card in her deck for future games.
But Horny wasn't done. At the end of the episode she tells 'Nando that the position of Executive vice president should be created and that none other than Manny should be appointed to it. Bermudez, the other socio, agrees that this is a good idea.
Doris and Poncho
While poking about Manny's office, Poncho finds the creepy photo album Manny has been working on. Boy, she is creepy obsessed with 'Nando. Poncho takes pics on his phone. Doris wants the original, but by the time Poncho gets back to Manny's office, Manny has already taken the album home.
-Jorrible's thug delivered a box of baratijas (knickknacks) to Beba's house. At least, that's what he told her they were. She thought they were charming and claimed one for herself.
-Beba's online suitor wants to meet with her tomorrow.
-Lucia has plans to sell cakes to local restaurants. They need the dough (har har)
-Zoe and Felipe make a list of rules they should follow. I want to go back and watch that again and understand it. All I got was that
1. Felipe has to be faithful in thought, word and deed. (And Felipe has dreams about Shakira.)
2. He and his friends need to put the toilet seat down.
I didn't understand one stinking word Felipe said.
-Felipe put a freakishly fast acting laxative in Álvaro's tea. (?)
Thanks for explaining today's exploits. I did get the part about the laxative and thought it was really funny and so deserving.
Was the guy that came into Alvo's office really his cousin?
Felipe seems so happy these days.
Horny is up to no good at the empresa. I still do not understand why Nando let her get her foot in the door and will not say what I think about Manny being there.
Jorrible is not only horrible but he is stupid as well. Doesn't he know not to bring his work home with him. I sure hope that Beba doesn't go to jail because she has one of the artifacts.
Rosemary Primera
I don't think Nando had much choice with Horny. She bought the shares fair and square.
You have a much sharper mind than I... I just figured Beba taking the figurine was schtick. Now I am afraid for Beba! That's probably exactly what's going on.
- Part of the contract between Zoe and Felipe was that she has to stay away from lawyers (except Cecilio) and her ex-husband.
- Sabrina said she had an excellent plastic surgeon and waved at her own face and, uh, assets. She has been in Europe studying art -- I wonder if she knows Manny? By telenovela law, she kinda has to.
- Ricky checks into a fleabag hotel and is across the hall from Jaivo. They trade insults until Mauricio pops around the door and Ricky says, oh, and I always thought you were so *macho*! That was funny.
- My cable winked out 5 times during this episode, so I completely missed Alvaro's cousin, or "cousin." What did he want?
---
Oh! And she did say she was in FLORENCE...isn't that where Manny was? Oh crap. Does that mean Sabrina is going to be yet ANOTHER bad guy????
I definitely think that was one of Alvaro's *special friends* and he just made up the cousin story for Sabrina. But I am usually wrong lol.
And thanks for the reminder about the Ricky/Jaibo exchange. It *was* funny!
Un poco poco más
Barbara told Juancho that not only did Marisol refuse to give money to the Tuquque fund, but she also told everyone Barbara was lying about how sick he was.
ooo! That little b/witch!!!!! She is turning Juancho against Marisol.
Is there a "need for organ donor" square? I have "need for blood donor" but I'm thinking that Tuqueque's need for a kidney doesn't count.
Horny Horty is just evil, sacrificing the life of a child in order to get her jollies with a stud. I really want her to be exposed for the hypocrite she is.
The new girl played the main villainess Sara in Querida Enemiga. It looks like she'll be good here, but you can never tell.
So um. I haven't even been able to understand English today much less Spanish, so here's what I managed to catch today. As always, feel free to chime in
--Manny is now vice president and she also managed to intercept the photo of the creepy photo album meant for 'Nando. (I may have forgotten to mention that yesterday: Poncho and Doris sent a picture of the creepiness to 'Nando.) Manny threatens to sue Doris for libel/defamation of character(?). She smashes Poncho's phone. She forces Poncho to delete the file from his computer.
--'Nando and Isa contact authorities about Leo's kidnapping. Really there isn't much that can be done if Gimmie has custody. Ceci will try to find out if the court order was even legal.
--Sabrina read about the statue robbery in the paper. She also overheard Manny threatening to sue Doris.
--Jorrible took back the ugly cherub from his mother and Olga took the rap for it.
--Zoe is getting kind of jealous/controlly. She wasn't too happy about Felipe and Sabrina's lunch together.
--Beba met up with Det. Idrogo. Despite the fact that he was expecting Olga, he didn't seem horrified with Beba. She left so quickly though I didn't quite understand why. Later he uses his detective skills to get Beba's number. I could live with this match.
--Horty wants her own Dr. Murillo on the case. Nothing is going to happen to her Willy!! There's a joke about Willy losing his "vigor" after the surgery. Willy makes a quip about what that would do to their "little business deal."
--Knuckles and Jaibo continued with that stupid "Make Marisol pay attention to me" plan.
--Jorrible made an unannounced visit to Isa and was pouty about finding 'Nando there. He asked Isa to go with him to check out a house. NOTE: This is a ruse. It's really a friend's house he passing off as "for sale."
The people in the TN are all so needy. Isn't there anyone happy with who they are?
Manny doesn't know much about computers. I noticed that Poncho deleted the photo but didn't empty the recycle bin, so it is still in the computer. If he knows what he is doing, he can retrieve the photo. Did Nando ever see the photo?
I wonder why Beba ran away from the detective? She could do worse.
Rosemary Primera
I
Yes, Vivi Horny needs to be exposed for the wretched person she is. Poor Beba has an awful BFF and son.
The Zoe/F5 plot w/Zoe becoming psycho again isn't good. I hope they just separate as friends and find other people. Cecilio, Cecilio he's the one.
And please make Gimme, her bad wig and the tormenting of Leo stop. And how do she and her creepy boyfriend have two convenient large henchmen at their bidding? It's not like they have money, right?
OK, I know we already hate Knuckles but this plan to get attention is creepy. And b/c Knuckles is beneath pond scum the only conclusion for this horror is Stupid-Sol being accosted possibly for real.
Jorrible - perhaps him trapping Isa and sliming on her will open her eyes to who he really is. It seems she wants to remain oblivious to his ickyness. Tonta!
Yeah, I know, I know. Get the beanie out of the wash.
Yesterday, Wigsy said the master forger needs a month to finish the "Will". So I guess they need to stash Leo and keep him alive for at least a month.

Perfect description of the scene!
Rosemary Primera: I thought the same thing about the file. I guess that means Poncho still has a little leverage.
Karen: I am all for a Ceci/Zoe pairing, too. I just wish Zoe would stop being so crazy.
There is a larger need for a beanie with this one, but the cast is fabulous (as Nellie noted) and there is more charm to this one than most (IMHO)
Now that it's percolated in my head for a bit, I have to say I like how the Beba/Idrogo scene went. Yes, he was surprised that someone different showed up, but he didn't act disgusted at her age. In fact, he figured out how to get her phone number and called her. I am glad this was NOT written as "comedy" at the expense of someone's age.
I'm not sure Poncho has much leverage with that photocopy. Even Manny pointed out that it could just as easily have been he & Doris who made the little collage.
I went back and watched the Beba/Idrogo scene again and it really does look like she just went "ha ha silly mistake! THanks for coming! Bye!" And later she seemed to be pushing Olga toward Idrogo.
PS: Poncho has sent a "friend request" to Mayela. Lord help us. I do NOT like that girl.
I got the feeling Beba thought that Olga was trying to hook up with Idrogo herself, since he had a picture of her and it was Olga who got Beba started with the online dating. She didn't seem to cotton onto the whole webcam snafu. I wouldn't mind that pairing, either -- I like Olga.
I wouldn't mind an Oldrogo pairing either...just as long as Beba gets someone. She's gonna need a shoulder when she finds out what a douche her son is.
Mayela annoys me to no end. I don't know how to explain it, but some baddies are a little too realistic and I hate them the most.
I mean, I can get clichéd, lying baddies (ie: Manny, L'Orange in Abismo), but the spoiled, "princess", mean-girl baddies (ie: Vainy, Sin, Mayela) make me want to reach into the screen and punch them in the throat.
Do you want me to recap today? It would probably be around 7 p.m.
Sorry I've been a little lazy about this.
hacer añicos: to smash/break to smithereens
salir sobrando: superfluous; pointless; not necessary
quisquilloso(-a): fussy, picky, touchy
Look, I think I've mentioned my bladder wall is pretty weak and can't take these kinds of humorous remarks. TMI? Well, you asked for it! You and your witty self.
;-)
Monday she took money from Beba telling her is was for the casa.
Now this is the part that I am not positive about. Yesterday, she had a cell phone. Did she tell Luci that someone on the street gave it her? Now we all know exactly where the phone came from. Yep, the money Beba gave her for the Casa.
Thank goodness she is about to pop and we won't have to put up with her for much longer, I hope.

- Zoe continues to act like a hormonal shrew. Or maybe it’s not acting.
- Mauricio wraps his head in a bandage and tells Jaivo to hide the bike while he reports it stolen; later they can sell it. Juancho sees Jaivo riding it and is very suspicious. So are the police, who set him off running.
- Willy’s riñon is a match! He’s happy! At least until Horny-Tensy tries to womanhandle him into her bedroom. He is saved by the bell when someone crashes into H’s car in front of her house. I think.
- A campesino sees Gimme driving Drooly-Poldo around and tips off someone from the rancho, who calls Sarita. She goes to investigate.
- Jorge drags Isa way the hell out into the exurbs to “look” at the house he is “thinking” of “buying,” then “mysteriously” suffers a “dead” “battery.” She gets mad and totters off in her white 4-inch tacones del campo. When she gets back to the office, Nando grumps that she has to make up the work hours she missed, which she does.
- Tío Padre Tío tries to convince Lucía that Willy really loves her and deserves a second chance. She resists.
- BIG FINISH: Nando apologizes to Isa about making her work half the night, and she makes him jump through numerous hoops before she’ll come around, including singing a rather pleasant rendition of “Amorcito Corazón” over the cell phone. She tells him she’s all alone in the apartment and the curse is over, so TONIGHT’S THE NIGHT – which is to say, the night of the day she gave Sabrina her own set of keys. She steps out to move her car, Sabrina comes home and jumps in the shower, Nando sneaks in and drops his drawers, and hijinks ensue!!!
- Tomorrow is a big day! Transplant surgery, Leopoldo-hunting in the outback, and too many naked people at Isabel’s place!
I rather liked 'Nando's singing as well.
I loved the Drooly-Poldo moniker.
The following people have targets on their throats:
-Mayela (Loved your earlier "lying liar who lies" comment)
-Barbara (another lying liar who lies.)
Manny was her usual beech self.
And Jorrible. Jerk. Loved the all the quotation marks and I especially loved the mention of the tacones. You would think that for that one scene they would let Elizabeth Alvarez wear flats.
Thank you so much for doing this!!!
I hope Isa realizes that Jorrible is icky and bad. Poor EA tottering around in those heels. And I hope the ranch hands save Leo from Wigsy, another great nick name from Rosemary Primera.
Sara - You should add Knuckles to your list but he does more than just lie.
Why does Horny keep saying Willy is hers? She's not just a witch but she's a delusional witch (but not as crazy as Rosa on Refugio.
I did notice that Isabel was conveniently wearing tennishoes when the spontaneous soccer game broke out in the park the other day -- but Manny played in high heels...!
Did you notice Horny Horty had her fingers crossed hoping the doc would say Willy isn't a match. That bitch was basically hoping for a child's death sentence! Argg! I was willing to cut her a little (and I mean tiny) bit of slack early on. I took her meddling in Fer's life as just fear that she would be cut out of the lives of her granddaughters-- her only link to her beloved deceased daughter. Plus, Beba liked her and they danced to Wooly Bully. But now she is just totally evil, like her other daughter.
I like how all the pueblo folk are suspicious of Gimme. For sure they should be able to help Sarita find where she is hiding Drooly-Poldo (my other fave from your recap).
I thought Manny had flats during football b/c I remember thinking I guess that they carry flats around which is reasonable based on how high those heels are.
---
Cold bitch is cold.
So we have lying liars who lie and scheming schemers who scheme. These just make me giggle.
Blue Lass-I think being a prison pretty boy is perfect karmageddon for Knuckles!
I'm willing to bet that Gimmie has not been so so nice to the pueblo folk and that Sarita has. They will do whatever they can to help her find Drooly-Poldo.
--Sabrina didn't see anything! (suuuure.)
--'Nando and Isa gave it the college try, but she got the giggles thinking about the Sabrina/'Nando debacle and nothing happened. 'Nando had "inspiration" issues.
--The next day 'Nando and Isa travel to the rancho to help Sarita look for Drooly-Daddy.
--Zoe blathered about baby stuff.
--Willy got ready for surgery. I am not pleased that both he and Horty were wearing black. He got the chance to tell Lucia how much he loved her and that he was glad that he had met her and that it hurts him that he can't change the past.
--Beba and Horty had a scene that I'm sure was hilarious if I had understood even the half of it. It had a lot to with trading insults about age and then one-upping each other about things they've done with Willy (wait, maybe I'm glad I didn't understand most of that.)
--Jorrible's thug needs Ricky to deliver that statue to him, but Ricky's buddy is not done putting the finishing copies on the copy. If and expert sees it, they would know it's a fake (Aha! We may have discovered Sabrina's purpose!)
--The custody order is found to be false and there is now a warrant out for Gimmie and her lawyer, Mendoza. Idrogo manages to arrest the lawyer. As they arrive in Rancho territory Isa and Fernando run into a fleeing Gimmie and Hector. Isa gets rough with Gimmie. Rip that wig off, honey!!!
Other stuff
-Babsie McSchemerson almost kisses Juancho McStoopidson.
-Knuckles McCheezyson shares his art skills with Mariso-stoopid.
-Willy showed off his pompas (butt...how appropriate is that?)Alas, we did not get to see, but the nurse sure was lucky!
Forgot:
Horty McMeanie-son told Lucia it was all her fault Willy was submitting to this surgery. I don't understand her logic at all.
Lucia is pretty much done with Willy. I hope this isn't permanent.
Doris & Manny also got into a tussle over the fact that Nando left town for several days and Doris claims not to know where he went. And when Manny opened the super-secret envelope with Nando's instructions to her as VP, they just said, "Take a couple days off." She was pithed.
I am now one square away from bingo in almost every direction, and our store of clichés seems to be running dry. They need to get people out of closets & bathrooms and onto the beach (or into the hospital.)
Sara needs the credit for "Wigsy" not me. I do think the Wig has taken on a life its own, so maybe Gimmie wears Wigsy is appropriate.
We once had a lady that delivered our mail that wore a really bad wig exactly like Gimmie's except it was dark brown. I was glad when they moved her to a different route.
