Licenciada, Licenciada- can you hear me now??? Does anyone speak with their inside voices? A second honeymoon?
We start at the Grupo Imperio (GI) offices- with Pluto and Helena talking about Eva and that she helped him with his wife, Antonia but the next time that she messes up, he will fire her. Helena asks about her friend Lucia, and Pluto assures her that she will work for GI.
Helena gives Pluto a little gift, a box of candy. Something to thank him for yesterday at the ranch. He is very appreciative and the vixen-oops Rebecca bursts in. What? There is no protocol here, no knocking of doors, just boots. It's great that you are here! Licenciada Lopez, bring us 2 coffees an espresso and a cappuccino. Rebeca is delighted.- meow!! If looks could kill. Pluto remembers that today is the day that the contract agreement is to be signed by Diego Fonticoda. It's vital to the company that we get that agreement because I want to surprise you. The gift card read--In appreciation of the beautiful day that we had!!
In Helena's office -Eva annoyingly keeps calling Helena, Licenciada like he/she is a 5 year old. She yells that her appointment with Diego is confirmed, do you need me to jot it down on a notepad. I don't want to be a noisy body but Juan Carlos always reviewed everything at the last minute. Be careful with the stipulations that he may put in the contract. Hmm- FEA moment - Letty calling Don Fernando from her back closet- oops office. I digress-sorry. Helena lets Eva have it; she is never to bring up Juan Carlos' name in her presence. Can you hear me now?? Eva keeps pressing Helena's buttons because she can hardly hear her since she is so far away.
Fifi- I mean Rebeca brings the coffee order to an empty office. She is thrilled. She reads the gift note and says Helena Moreno your time has come- meow!!!!!
Eva's cell rings and she lets Helena know that her phone is ringing and she is going to answer it. Antonio is on the other end, saying that she wants to die, her husband doesn't love her, he is not treating me well, blah, blah, blah- what else is new? Please come over now, (even though you are at work) annoyingly Eva leaves
Pluto' s cell rings its Rebeca. She lets me know that she doesn't appreciate how he is treating her like a maid and she is going to tell all to Antonio at his house. Eva is listening to Antonia who found a receipt from the ranch and he told her that he had a board meeting, he used to me, blah, blah, blah. The doorbell is ringing.
Who could that be? If everyone moved that quickly at GI it would be a Fortune 500 company. Eva says that this receipt doesn't prove anything. Pluto snatches up someone who was supposed to watch, Rebeca as he gets into the elevator. The person tells him that he had errands to run for Rebeca- go the bank, etc. The blue dresses are listening. Does anyone work?? .
Rebeca is announced. What is so important that you had to come to my house??
Helena and her friend are in the bathroom chatting and about her interview. She may not be her assistant but they will work together.
Eva is looking around in Pluto's home office, imitating Pluto and looking through his things he finds a cd marked-key
Helena and the two stooges- (Santiago and Fernando) meet in the hallway and she lets them know that she will call for them if she needs them. A woman representing Diego Fonticoda without a name-meets with Helena and lets her know that her boss is canceling the contract. They signed the pre contract but there were clauses that he was not in agreement with - is this a pre-nuptial agreement?? WTH?? Oops I digressed. Helena is muy impactada!!!
Pluto interrupts Rebecca and Antonia and starts kissing all over Antonia- yuck! Rebeca is telling me about the second honeymoon that you are planning-WTH???
Rebeca lets Pluto know that she is not pleased with his time spent with Helena, geez are you jealous Rebeca?? Rebeca gets a little scolding but Pluto is going to plan a board meeting via a Jacuzzi for the two of them. Oooooooooww!!! Don't deceive me anymore Pluto because I have you in my hands. Does she really??
Helena is met in the hall by the two stooges but a blue dress lets her know that Mr. Reyes wants to see her.
Diego's assistant who reminds me of a younger Mr. Big (Sex in the City) asks him of he is crazy for canceling the contract. The cancelled contract is just a ploy to get Helena in bed
Reyes' office let's Helena know that he is very satisfied with her work. Dando, dando, do I hear" Dando Dandole” by Omega?? Oops sorry digressing.
In Adriano's office- Adriano reminds Helena that the future of GI is in her hands and she will have the contract signed by the day after tomorrow.
Fernando looks over the contracts that Marsela has completed and has the nerve to criticize them.
Marsela and Fernando are in the office and she is telling him about her codirector position and how life will be better for them because they will be earning the same money.
Eva returns, announces her return and gets her head bitten off by Helena, Eva offers her assistance and friendship but once again is sent away by Helena.
Eva is in an office and uses the computer and is surprised by a computer geek, Felix. He asks if he can be of assistance. Of course Eva batters her eyelashes-don't all women do that when our backs are against the wall?? Yeah right!!!
Felix gets slapped with the folders, introduces himself. Eva sends him out ad tells him to stop checking her out
Adriano interrupts in his game of golf to talk to Fernando, about whether or not it's a problem with his wife's promotion
Adriano continues his golf game
Diego calls and Marsela takes the call. He asks he why she didn't attend the reunion and Marsela hoses down the hot Diego. She lets Diego know that she is married with two beautiful children. Oh no, Marsela was his first and she is very special
He still lusts after Helena and he is awaiting her call. Ewwww!!!!
Marsela is trying to rest before preparing dinner and asks Fernando for help in preparing dinner
He yells for Jennifer and asks for her to help because mom is very busy and can't make dinner. All this man does is talk.
Pluto and Antonia - lets go to a restaurant because the doctor said that you could eat whatever you want- lies!!! The doctor recommended abstinence- really?? Our second honeymoon can be on the French Riviera!!!! As he feeds her sweets.
Lalito and Helena - he asks his mom what’s wrong? You know when something is, wrong with me. Why are you sad? Soon we will live together
Then Scrooge closes the door.
He asks his wife, why the face and then tells her that he doesn't care. WTH???
Diego's office- Eva calls him on his cellular
that sure cools him down she tells him about his horoscope, this week will be good for finances
Mimi tells Juan about Maximo but Juan doesn't want to hear it. He is worried about Helena who won't let Eva in to help her with her problems
Maybe she needs to hear from Juan Carlos
Pluto and Antonio - she wants to go to work, but doctors orders- rest!!
Oh how he cares for me- humph straight to the grave
Marsela and Fernando are in Diego's office. She hands Adriano a file and Fernando the jerk wants to know why she didn't tell him about it. Really?? Fernando is told to focus on the Majagua beach project, that leaves Marsela alone with Adriano
Is everyone at Grupo Imperio sex starved???
Helena walks into a dozen white roses in her office and a cd with Juan trying to quickly explain his errors and ask for forgiveness he hurt many people, especially her, a million pardons and ask for help, don't make the same mistake that he did.
Marsela is discussing the file and Adriano is continued to be impressed by the work of the women of this company, he offers another project to Marsela
Juan continues to tell Helena how much he loves her and Lalito as Eva eavesdrops. Helena is in tears.
Adriano wants Marsela to dress more like an executive. Does that mean tighter and shorter outfits? Hmm.
Adriano also gives lessons on how to say licenciado, lower her tone, as he makes booty call -oops telephone call
Eva explains that she brought the flowers and found the cd and since it had her name on it, it was important.
Why do I love him? Eva, he is the only man that I loved. Is Helena bipolar? One minute she is biting off Eva's head and then suddenly she is human, loving

Ewww-that Pluto feeding Antonia sweets, so wrong. The poor thing needs to talk to her doctor like asap! I don't want anything to happen to her.
Adriano is too funny, talks nice to the girls to their faces and then makes faces once they leave. And he has a nerve playing golf and not working. I have come to the conclusion that the men in this company don't work at all. They plot and plan and the women of this company do all the heavy work.
Diego is another ewwww. Oh, sure sure the women will sleep with his butt just so he signs the contract? I bet Eva has a plan for him.
Agree with you Tablet Jefe about Helena. She really was mean to Eva the whole epi until the end. Maybe Helena will treat her better now, we'll have to see.
I really thought Rebeca would spill the frijoles. She just wants Pluto all to herself. I wonder how Pluto is going to handle her now. Looks like he will have to burn the candle at both ends if he wants to pursue Helena and keep Rebeca happy and under control.
I was pondering yesterday's show, and how much it bothered me that Helena was so mean to Eva and so accepting of Pluto.
I notice something about myself. I don't get that upset when the villain, like Pluto, is evil. He's the villain. It's his job description. I know that he'll get his piecart of scorpions and I'll enjoy that. I don't get that upset when the rotten guy, like Mutt, acts rotten. I know that at some point he'll suffer badly and then he'll mend his ways and sacrifice himself for those around him, and I'll enjoy that.
What I hate, hate, HATE is when the Sweet Young Thing (SYT) does breathtakingly stupid things, or even worse, when she is mean. Like Candy in Tontas. (Oh how I hated her by the end of that thing!) And then the galán continues to be hopelessly in love with her, even though she's acting like a total b!t*h! Villain's get eaten by alligators and that's good! SYT's who are stupid or mean still get the undying love of the man of their dreams. It just really bugs me!!!
1. Adriano admits that the women of the company (he means Marcela and Helena) have really surprised him with their capability. He is changing his opinion of women.
2. Diego F. gave up on a chosen prey - Marcela. Perhaps for the first time in many years.
3. Antonia believed, at least for a little while, that her husband was unfaithful. Could this be the first hairline crack in his fortress?
4. Because Juan asked Helena to allow other people to help her, she has softened toward Eva.
5. Fernando is in a crisis. He wasn't his wife's first, the boss has made her his equal at work, and she didn't drop everything to serve him at home. So his romance, work, and home relationships with her have all suddenly shifted.
6. Adriano told Marcela, “Something is happening in Grupo Imperio.”
7. Helena told Juan to his face (o sea, to Eva's face) that she loves him.
8. I thought that Helena now knows that Juan is alive. But not exactly. Eva told Helena that she found the disk in a box in the office. And since it used to be Juan’s office, maybe he made the disk (before the car crash) and intended to give it to her.
That's a whole lot of deep changes to jam into one cap!
Juan filmed his love letter in front of the clown painting. I wonder if one day Helena will go to Mimi’s and see the painting?
I decided to transcribe the love letter. (I haven’t transcribed a scene since Fea. Does that say something about how much I like this TN?) You can find the full transcript here.
I hate the brain drain on heroines, too. What is with this?
Antonia needs to get rid of Plutarco yesterday. Not that he would be able to kill her that quickly, but he's not going to stop trying.
Adriano is in for a big surprise soon, I'm sure.
The dialogue is so fast in this one, I find myself sneaking looks at the Spanish closed captions rather frequently. You seemed to have no problem at all capturing the dialogue.
Only saw the last part of this but loved Marcela finally getting the praise and recognition she deserves for doing her husband's work (as well as her own) all along. Hopefully, after his initial humiliation, he will rise to the occasion and actually become a productive human being as well.

Paula, thanks for transcribing Juan's message to Helena. Glad it touched her heart. The clown background could give him away at some point.

Paula, that bugs me too, when the Sweet Young Thing turns rotten. (Lucero went through a long rotten stage in STuD.) But I'm hoping that Helena has thawed toward Eva by now. And she wasn't really all that nasty to her for too long. (Just think how many times Fernando fired Lety!)
Thanks for transcribing the love letter. Yeah, I think Helena assumes the disk was made before JC's death. I didn't exactly see a flash of hope in her eyes. Hopefully that giant clown face will come back to roost (not to mix my metaphors too much).
I really thought that Rebeca was going to tell Antonia that Pluto is having an affair... with Helena. That's the sort of misunderstanding that seems almost inevitable in a TN!
Mimi's friend Max - are we to assume he's the same Max who helped frame JC? That's quite an anvil.
Lastly, there was an item on the news last night about a daycare center in Delaware where some of the workers tried to organize a sort of Fight Club for preschoolers. Made me think of Pluto with Lalito and the other kid at the ranch.

I love the way Adriano is coming to realize that the women in his company are making excellent contributions. He is going to come around I think. I loved the way he instructed Marcela in how to say the word licenciado. He told her to take the quesiton out of her voice -- the upward tone at the end. Very astute. I've read that one of the reasons that women are often not taken seriously in business is because they make their statements tentatively -- as if asking permission to have an opinion. That was a very pro-feminist bit of advice he gave her.
I have been annoyed at Helena and her unfounded anger at Eva. She just never gave her a chance. STILL, I can understand Helena's being hurt by Lalito's rejection of her & the fact that Eva was with him for so long while Helena was going through the emotional wringer. WE know that Eva did the best (s)he could -- but Helena didn't.
I can also understand Helena's frustration & annoyance when Eva showed up the next day. Helena thought whe had been fired & that her best friend was going to be at her side. No wonder she was upset -- and I loved the way she showed that frustration.
It does seem a quick flip for her to suddenly open up to Eva after being so insistent about not mixing her business & her personal life. But-- Eva showed up just at the very vulnerable moment when Helena had just watched the JC cd. (I think that Helena thinks the cd was made before JC's death.)

Remember in Fea, at the club, when Fern & Omar recognized that Lety would make a great executive, but she doesn't have the appearance, class, or comportment of an exec. Adri sees that problem, so he's working to fix it.
Whenever the male exec's, are in Adri's office, their meeting ends, he says "thank you," the man stays sitting there, and Adri has to tell them to get lost. In Marcela's meeting, they finished their business and she got up to leave. He had to call her back for "one more thing"! Another way that to show how incompetent his male execs are.

Camil is SUCH a good actor! Last night I was editing my disk and the sound was off. In the scene on the phone, JC, as a man, is at home talking to Diego on the phone as a woman. Even with the sound off, I could tell that he was talking as a woman - all his movements were female!
Adriano's been pretty gullible up to now, but I like him because he cared about JC and loves his sister. I like seeing him excited about Marcela's work. Finally Mutt and Jeff will have to start producing.
Wow - you are so impressive with your recap!! Everyone talks so fast I only get the gist of what is going on. Your (and other's) recaps are so helpful. I also love how entertaining they are as well.
