Amorcito Corazón Discussion #99-103 Sept. 3-7
No EWM or Horny today. It's a Labor Day miracle.
Sabrina continues to try to sink her claws into Fernando. She thinks that Cecilio is suspicious and attempts to keep him from thinking that she is up to no good and foiling her plans.
Lucia comes to the raffle which really raises Willy's spirits (PS: Cockatoo #1 is named Narciso--Nacho.) Jaibo skulks about watching Juancho.
Jorrible survives the horse ride (darn.) Isa and Jorrible have dinner with Sarita and Leo. Jorrible smarms about how he likes family living. Isa takes Jorrible for a walk around the property. She remembers the day with Nando at the poza de manantial (spring/swimming hole) aka la cama cósmica. While they are out, Fernando calls. Leo starts to tell him off for not being supportive, but Sarita takes the phone and tells Fernando to stop bothering her daughter.
Willy attempts to sing Amorcito Corazón while he dances with Lucía. Sor Pilar interrupts to tell Lucía about some thing she went to in Canadá and that it's an excellent opportunity to get support/talk about the casa hogar. Sor Pilar will talk to the obispo mañana about Lucía representing the casa hogar (did Sor Pilar acutally say what it was?? I've watched it twice and I don't think I caught it...even with the Spanish CCs.)
Juancho tries to break up with Barf. She talks him out of it. They go back to her place so she can "get a sweater." She suggests they take advantage of the empty house. He shuts her down. Woot.
Moncho wins the car. The crowd is not pleased. The CC's provide me with a new vocab word: abucheos-booing and jeering. They all think it was a trick.
Sabrina goes to visit the oh so happy Zoe and FFFFF. Fernando's call interrupts the social call and FFFFF has to go. He's nervous as hell. When the two gals are alone, Sabrina starts to discuss Ceci and her negative feelings about him. Zoe staunchly defends him and Sabrina asks "what gives?" Zoe tells all about her night with Cecilio.
Jaibo beats up Juancho, takes pics with his phone and sends them to Knuckles.
At the club, FFFFF convinces Fernando to take the 3 Marías, go to the ranch and get Isa.
At departamento de los Lobo, all the girls are playing a board game with Knuckles. Marifer wants to play with Knuckle's phone. He hands it over and Marifer sees the pictures Jaibo sends. She announces to the room that Kunckle has just received some horrible pictures and it looks like Juancho. Marisilly demands an explanation aaand FIN! (Don't you know Knuckles will slime out of it somehow?)

Yikes, that was a brutal beating Jaibo gave Juancho. All those kicks to the kidneys. Why did he say something about it being from him, too, not just for Knuckles? What did Juancho do to him? Regardless, Juancho has to be in really bad shape after this, and I'm guessing Marisilly will rush to his side to comfort him. I loved how he nixed Barf's sexytime plan.
Okay, I listened carefully, and I think the cockatoos are Chicho (short for Narciso) and Nacho (Ignacio). I still am not sure which is which. Did I catch one of them looking interested in whichever of the casa hogar ladies ran to the party? Poor Moncho. He finally has a bit of luck and even that goes sour for him.

I got that Knuckles ordered the beating, but I didn't understand why Jaibo indicated that he, too, had it in for Juancho, and wasn't doing it JUST for Knuckles. I can't remember now exactly what he said. Does this go back to the incident with the drugs (or M&Ms) in the club, somehow?
Heads up: my DVR will record the show at 2 today. The cable guy will arrive sometime between 4 and 6 to replace the box that no longer shows ESPN (of all the channels to block.) I really doubt I will get to see today's episode so I'm afraid it will just be discussion. I'm very sorry.
Julia, I think Juancho fingered Jaibo for the M&M's scam, although I don't think the cops made it stick.

I'll pay attention and write a summary if no one else does it first, but I can't watch until evening and I'm on the west coast so it will be a little later than usual.
That party was really fun until the crowd turned on Moncho and Willy. I loved how Willy G got the cockatoos to put on romantic music while he busted moves over to Lucia. Too bad the other casa hogar ladies missed it. Why didn't they just take the babies and go?
Well, the cable guy is still here. Here's a loose translation from the synopsis I found at Telenovela World.
Willy almost kisses Lucia. Jaibo gets pithed at Mayela when he finds out what she's planning to with the baby. Jaibo goes confronts Doris and Pancho and demands part of the money since he's the baby daddy. Fernando and the girls show up at the ranch and is surprised to see Isa is with Jorrible. She reproaches him for having kept her out of his life (gah! can't put this well in English.) Lucia finds out that soon she will be taking her vows and giving her self entirely to God. Jorrible tells Sabrina that Isa and Fernando are fighting. This pleases Sabrina and she is sure she she will win Fernando no matter what. Doris tells Manny that Fernando went to the ranch with the girls. Manny can't believe it. reIcky tries to slime his way back into the house. Willy finds out and confronts him. Willy threatens to tell Lala that reIcky is running with Jaibo.
I'm sure this doesn't even begin to cover what actually happened, but I hope it's better than nothing.

Sara you hit the important points as I was able to see the episode. Too much time was wasted and I FF through the Isa/Fer umpteenth breakup. It's exactly like the last time when Jorrible was lurking around.
Other tidbits - Madre Pilar brought Lucia's idea to a padre. The two of them seem to want to put her vow ceremony on the fast track.
Barf blames Marisilly for Juancho's beatdown and when Willy asks Juancho about that the latter states that Marisilly would not do that but Knuckles would. Now all we need is for Knuckles to give her the necklace and hopefully she's start to realize Knuckles is evil.

Willy G is having trouble letting go, and micromanaged Moncho's driving and lectured him about maintenance. Familia de Moncho + the cockatoos + Juancho took a field trip to the countryside for a picnic and soccer. Juancho is in pain but up and about, no thanks to Barf, who preferred to shriek and stomp off when no one believed her accusation of MariSol, rather than tend to her supposed beloved's wounds.
After Isa broke up with Fernando (she's still angry that he always puts her on the back burner) and he and the sad girlies headed back to the city, she gave Jorrible a tour of the local church, where he took photos of artifacts he no doubt intends to steal.
Jaibo is treating Mayela like a slave wench. Maybe even she will find this too much to put up with. Odd how she acted the spoiled princess and tolerated no demands at the casa hogar, where everyone was willing to be fair and generous, but she'll take all this crap and bend and scrape for thug Jaibo.
Beba is horribly sick and vomiting. Not sure where this is going.

Thanks ladies for keeping things going. I am behind many episodes, but get the gist of what's going on from your recaps. Does Fer know that Isa was in the hospital when she called him and he blew her off? I am so ready for these two to grow up. I want more Cecelio storylines instead. he deserves to have an interesting love life and he's the only adult with any sense in this story.
Me, too! More Cecilio! If he doesn't end up with Zoe -- and frankly, she doesn't deserve him -- I hope he gets someone really wonderful.

Maybe one of the casa hogar ladies for Cecilio? They all seem nice, and none of our more major character ladies deserve him.
Vivi, Isa told Fer about the crash and hospital when he found her in the town near the ranch. She really gave it to him...I was hurt, I tried to call you and you hung up on me, and I was already mad because you kept blowing me off about work stuff (he wouldn't even look at the stuff she'd prepared for him for the big meeting, just told her to give it to Manuela to assemble), you kept paying more attention to Manuela than to me even when I really needed to talk to you, etc. She was MAD. Fer still doesn't quite get what she's upset about, poor dimwit.

I find myself FFing through Fer and Isa's little arguments. I get the feeling it's the same old every time. However I love the scenes with all the cuates hanging out and going on picnics and stuff. I know they are silly but they are so joyful they always make me smile. Early on I looked up the two cockatoo headed dudes to figure out who was who. The shorter darker-haired cockatoo is Chicho. The taller one is Nacho. I think.
I hope Doris and Poncho figure out that if Jaibo is involved in any deals things will go very badly for them. Those two crazy kids need to make their own baby and stop worrying about Doris's dumb scheme. Is Doris even interested in Fer anymore? She seems to have gotten derailed from her primary objective.

Doris seems to have let go of the idea of having Fernando as a romantic partner. Now she only seems to want to be part of the family, and she's afraid if she confesses her ugly scheme, she'll be booted out. Plus she seems to have gotten attached to the idea of having a baby. I think she's mostly lonely. She's been a good friend to Fernando and Isa lately, though, except for helping with the schemes Manwily blackmails her into, which she feels terrible about. I think things will work out for her somehow. She just needs to come clean about the lack of baby and then get together with Poncho. He's been so much more tolerable since he teamed up with Doris, too. Although his table manners still need a lot of work.
So the issue with my cable was that the neighbor's dog dug up the cable and chewed on it.

Haven't seen the episode yet, but I think Moncho gave back the Willymóvil because Willy G really loved that car, and only was giving it up to pay for Moncho's son's surgery/lifesaving. I don't think Moncho would feel right keeping it. Besides, he can't really afford to use and maintain it. Maybe when things finally turn around for him and he has a solid income, he can buy his own car if he wants one.
I must say, I did kind of like Willy getting rid of the car since Beba had given it to him and it was basically payment for sleazy services. It was like getting rid of that last bit of old gigolo Willy.

I just watched. Ugh. Naturally I do not like Sabrina, however one must admit that she is very goal-oriented and effective at carrying out her objective of being a vindictive sex machine. She is very good at getting all the guys to think with their little heads.

Hmmm. I really couldn't tell whether they "went all the way". It was implied, maybe, but not confirmed. I'll wait for him to have a chat with his buddies about it, or some other confirmation, before I check it off my Bingo. Although I don't think he would feel THAT bad about just kissing her; he certainly has a skill for ignoring all the smooching Manwily does on him.
I did like how Fer-shame ran away from EWM, but out of the frying pan, into the fire. Does he have no sense? Why didn't he just go hang out with Cecilio or something? Or go stay in a hotel alone so he could be sad without anyone bothering him? Eejit.

Okay, I did NOT like how Sabrina is plotting to get her hands and other parts on Cecilio to see if he lives up to Zoe's rave review. And then FFFFF and Cecilio joking in the car about how Cecilio should totally go for her and get her off FFFFF's back, 'cause why not? (FFFFF's one-track mind irritates me anyway, but leave Cecilio out of it!) Are these three friends really okay with sharing so many bed partners?

Okay, here's what I remember:
Sabrina had breakfast with Cecilio, then invited him back to her place for a whiskey (after BREAKFAST?!) and he went for that because he's trying to verify whether she's really going to try to have cositas with him, too (he did a lot of thought bubbling). Well, oopsie, she dropped the bottle on her foot, so now Cecilio is playing nurse while she makes a lot of x-rated owie sounds and sits so he can hardly NOT look up her barely-there skirt. And then she lunged at him with a smoocheroo. Stay tuned for results.
Isa and Sarita had breakfast with Jorrid and Beba. Jorny interrupted and tried to enlist Beba's help and Beba wouldn't believe she was penitent unless she apologized to Isa, so Horny did in the most insincere way possible. Beba was not fooled, nor was Isa. Then Jorrid snookered Isa into going for a walk in some adventuresome park and committed labial assault. Gross. On the plus side, two more Bingos for me!
Willy G dressed as Padre Guillermo again and went to the convent to try his persuasion skills on Lucia again. His argument still needs work. He's still going with the "I need you, you're responsible if I fall into sin again." Bzzzzt. Wrong. Lucia is confundida as per usual, and maybe softening, though.
F-word went skating with the girlies, but then their fun day took a turn for the worse when Horny dropped by to gloat that F and Isa are splitsville and try to poison the minds of the Marias. Doris hung about glaring at Horny and eavesdropping.
Things might be looking up, according to the avances: Doris seems to be rallying the Marias to get F-word and Isa back together. Take that, Horny.
Best parts of the episode, to me, were the reaction shots: Cecilio's side-eye look at Ssssabrina when she was doing her pouty flirty act, Doris's expression when Horny walked into the apartment, Beba's "stay out of it!" to Horny, Padre Willy G's frustrated blessing gesture to the hard-of-hearing nun. So funny.
Oh, plus, Horny walked into Fer's home office while he and Doris were sitting there, across the desk from each other, innocently talking (about how awful Horny is, but she didn't hear that), and she berated them for being alone in there together and how inappropriate and what might the girls think?!?! Fer and Doris both did the funniest little eye-rolly looks. Like, Doris is fake-pregnant, lady, I think that horse has left the barn, and anyway there was nothing inappropriate going on. O

I am loving Cecilio more and more. The way he smirked at her while thought-bubbling "¿Qué trae esa mujer entre manos?" was so delightful I think I've got that expression down for good. I doubt if he'll fall for the smoocheroo -- and I'll be she turns ugly again right after.

I'm pretty sure all three of the cabelleros (FFFFF, Fer, and Cecilio) are dimwits. Cecilio slept with EWM, so he has not proven to me that he's capable of saying no to HO BAGS. At least I know where to FF now.

Yeah, Cecilio is a good guy but he suffers the same plague as his buddies. He did sleep with EWM knowing what an unstable snake she is. Plus, I know he's Zoe's one true love and all, but wasn't she very drunk when they hooked up? I don't think they waited long enough for her to sober up, and either way she was in a very vulnerable state. Maybe it was okay with her, but I don't think that was honorable behavior. Are we going to get a plotline where the whole gang shares an STD?

Beba said it was a bout of colitis and that the doctor said some meds and dietary adjustment would fix her up. We didn't actually hear the doctor say that, so I don't know if it's true or she just doesn't want anyone to worry, but she did seem to be a lot better.
The way that Sabrina is carrying on, it would be a miracle if she DIDN'T have an STD.

The garbage

--Horny makes it clear that unless it's Sofia back from the dead, she will never approve of Fernando dating anyone.
--Even though the girls tried to get Fernando and Isa back together with cute little notes on her door, our couple continue to live in Splitsville. I'm really beginning to tire of these two. I'm watching this show for Willy and Lucia. The writers better not mess that up.
--Jorrible is Jorrible. He's a slimy douchebag. He kisses Isa and then sticks to her like glue for most of the episode. At one point he goes to visit her at the office and he and Fernando end up in a fist fight and damn if Jorrible didn't get the best of Fer. Fer isn't on my "nice" list right now, but I didn't like Jorrible getting the upper hand.
--The Dimwitted Cabelleros put their heads together and figure out they've all hit that HO BAG. (Fernando's face was priceless.) FFFFF decides Cecilio is "in charge" of Sabrina since he doesn't have anything to lose.
--Barf and Juancho had some lines.

Horny is such a hypocrite! She expects a young man to never marry again when she is stalking a man younger than her daughter and demanding he love her. She's been quite horrible but I do wonder if the writers will try to redeem her as they seem to be doing with Fina on Abismo.
