Yes, Pretty Boy is definitelly up to no good. I couldn't get the deal with his scarf - some sort of trendy thing to wear a wrinkled fringed scarf with a suit?

Fernando usually just makes me mad but the recent stuff with the harp has had me laughing.

Great job Ithabill! Agree with you all that Renato is a spy. *sigh* Another pretty on on the side of the bad guys. Lucia's antics with him are hilarious though. Girlfriend needs to get a grip and stop being so desperate.

Eva's got to learn ways to stick it to Pluti without Pluti looking like a "good" guy.

How do we know Samantha isn't just a Trojan Horse and trying to get info on Playa M. for Taurus?
 

Ithabill-wonderful recap. I was laughing so hard at Eva with those male strippers and especially when Max Montes revealed himself by taking off his mask. For a minute there I thought Max had recognized JC under the Eva makeup. That Max is a man of many trades, I have to say, lol.

Love how Eva is getting back at Pluti, but Vivi is right. Eva has to find a way to stick it to Pluti, without him looking good in everyone's eyes.

The way Renato keeps asking about the Playa project, I too am beginning to think he is a corporate spy. But so far he hasn't taken advantage of Lucia except for info. I had to laugh about the dinner too.

Ya know, Samantha might also be a spy, or she could want something more after helping set up JC for the fraud. Maybe she felt she didn't gain enough afterwards. It seems now she is blackmailing Pluti. I wonder if Eva will give her a job just to keep an eye on her.


 

Why does Eva offer to help Samantha (Sam)? Solidarity of women? Guilt for how Juan treated her? Suspicion because she worked for the competition - keep her under surveilance?

In other matters...
The other stripper told Eva that Gino has a very jealous girlfriend that meets him after work every night. Which would be Sam.
Eva is going to go looking for Gino tonight. Which means he'll see Gino/Max and Sam together?
Does Eva know that Sam met with Pluto? (Cindy of the Evalettes knows, but TN characters, even gossipy ones, never share the right gossip with the right person.)
If Eva knows Sam met with Pluto, that will connect Gino/Max to Pluto and be Eva's first evidence that Pluto framed Juan. It's no smoking gun, but until now, all he had on Pluto was motive, not method.
 

Fun recap, Ithabill, loved your juicy side comments, ie, Pluti's modest generosity in his 'shiny shark suit'. I haven't been watching it a lot, but catch bits and pieces.
 

Gracias, Ithabill! I just love how this episode ended. I also loved how quick Eva was to dismiss JC's prejudices against women in business.

And I really liked that stripper who was flirting with Eva outside the dressing (undressing?) room. Sigh.

I think I've figured out why Lucia has such poor judgement with men. She's always three sheets to the wind when she's on a date!

I'm confused as to how Eva expected her announcement to affect Helena and the other employees. Of course any guy who's going to pay for everyone's education is going to be a hero! Duh! But it's still a wonderful spot to put him in. And I get to recap his reaction tonight!!

Eva may have accidentally made Pluti look good, but at least the employees get something valuable out of it and it will hit Pluti where it hurts, in the wallet. Time enough to make him look bad when the evidence of the fraud is found.

I was agog at the thought of taking the boss to a strip club, but gosh was it ever funny. And then JC's reenactment later for Mimi was even more funny.

Lucia was hilarious as well. I'm glad Helena is trying to tell her that her desperation is offputting, but she is not getting the message.

Agree Speed Racer's a spy, but at least he has some scruples as he didn't put the moves on poor drunk Lucia.

I suspect that Speed Racer didn't take advantage of the opportunity because Lucia is not his type - his preference run more toward Pluto.

The scarf, and he said he loves fashion shows. In real life that wouldn't necessarily mean anything, but in a telenovela it tends to.

I actually enjoyed Fernando's and Santiago's scene this episode. Fer trying to hide the harpist he had on the computer, but apparently he couldn't figure out how to stop or mute it so he stuck a paper on the screen, then turned the monitor off, while harp music continued to play...

I also liked Santi's "sure, okay" response to Fer's continued posturing about the rock star Kevin will be, and his victory move after he sunk the paper airplane in the basket. Enjoy feeling like a champ now, Santi, you'll be broke and single soon!
 

I've got it! Kevin couldn't care less about harp. But there is a really pretty harpist at his school, and he's too shy to talk to her. No, probably not, huh?

I don't think it's ridiculous that Kevin might be interested in a girl. He's not as macho as his father would like, but that doesn't mean he's gay. We don't actually know what his attitude is towards girls. He may be timid around them, or take them more seriously, or holding out for a particular special girl (who plays the harp).

Regardless, his father needs to learn to live with the fact that his kid is not exactly like him.
 

Kevin is also only 14. Even if he's getting interested in girls, he might not yet feel compelled to try to hook up with them or date them, at least not enough yet to get over shyness or awkwardness and go for it, or whatever. Kevin strikes me as the sort of guy who is sensitive to the way people respond to him, yet more inwardly focused, unlike his father, who is self-centered but outwardly focused. If that makes any sense.
 

My guess is that Kevin is a late bloomer. Many boys, absent peer pressure, are not yet interested in girls in 9th grade.
