Refugio Para el Amor #128 Fri 10/5/12 The separation between the young TL and the young Jacinto's ... physical (forced by circumstances), yet not emotional/sentimental
now on to watch the ep... will post quick recap in an hr, will extend more tomorrow.
ok here it is...

I'm speechless at the three witches - RE being the worst. A supposed God-fearing woman talks about making a baby disappear? Beyond comprehension. Just for thinking it AGAIN, she deserves the worst kind of TN fate.
And now that GT knows she's having a girl, oh, I'm trying not to think about it. It will be bad enough to watch what they pull.
I think eventually Don A will cave on acknowledging Vio. Just saying...
So next week we get "the jump", baby bumps and all. It's going to be also hard to watch the fact Pato and Luce may have gotten closer and then Rod shows up again. His fate has me as upset as the baby's. I'm laying in massive boxes of kleenex for the next few weeks.
I'm with Daisynjay...Anyone who deliberately plans the murder of a baby deserves the worst possible fate. Everytime I think Roselena, Gala, and third-rate Mom Julie can't get any worse, they do.
I'm laying in kleenex, like Daisynjay, but also lots of cheap glassware that I can hurl on the bricks in our back room. Don't like where this is going!
But great recap, as always, Marta. You've got the juice, kid.
Roselena and Julie have a long line of predecessors including -- but not limited to -- Gabriela Elizondo, Bernarda Sainz, Carlota Espinoza de los Monteros. All women who would kill their own children in the name of greed and/or control. I just find it miraculous that they haven't tried yet. Both of them will go into the next Toxic Mothers gallery.
Who wants to bet me that Gala will try to bribe someone in the doctor's office to tell her the gender of Luci's baby? I hope the doctor has Gala's number.
I also hope that Lorenzo's business grows exponentially in the leap forward. That will show Roselena.
Loved the suspense around Gala's fakery. She had me, too for a couple of hot seconds. Besides the snarky smile, her refusal to go to the hospital was a giveaway. She didn't really want Doc S (I've gotten than far, now, but he's still Dr. Nice in my book) to send her or ask to examine her either. If I had been Rod (sooo glad I'm not), I would have insisted on taking her to the emergency room. It's not normal to suffer the intensity of pain she was faking. And she was the one who professed not wanting to lose this baby. Shame on her.
Did you all notice that through the whole conversation under the "cone of unsilence" on the lawn, our three plotters actually had a very interested observer/listener, pretending to be a statue? I can't believe Rosa didn't dismiss Frigida before they started talking about making babies disappear.
Hey Daisynjay--How about a word for our Nats while you're at it (and they will always be the Senators to me). They did a miraculous turn-around, too.

I'm not sure the bruja trio was planning Luci's baby's death just it's disappearance. Let's face it Rosa is a pro at taking a baby and gifting it to some one. Since it worked for her once, why not again. That is what I see coming. I also think that the medal Pato plans to give her will be an important clue if anything does happen.
Poor Jana and Lorenzo but in a way it is a good thing. There is no way that match would ever be approved and once young love faded the relationship would be doomed because of the snobbish class conscious world Jana lives in. I think with the time leap forward there will be impetus for Lor to go back to school, to use those smarts he already has and with a little help/guidance from Claudio and Luci he will find business success and the confidence to face down Rosa.
Jana had better be careful if she tries to mend fences with Lorenzo. i wouldn't put it passed Rosa to have her followed and then her life will become more of a living hell.
Loved that look Max shot Rosa when she was on one of her bedroom rants. As much as he loves her he looked like he is getting sick of her antics. My wish for her other then, death at the end, is for Max to leave her along with Pato and Jana and she an live in the grotesquely ugly house solo. I see no chance of any redemption for her and would be furious if it were used as a plot device to have one big happy family at the end. There should be that kind of family with Rosa not a part, an outsider looking in.
That scene with Lastra was the one misstep I've seen in this novela. It was such a throwaway scene, it didn't advance the plot and how in the hell would he know Ofelia would be walking down the street like that at night. Had he planned to go to apartment and slip that paper under the door? It all just rang false with me.
Don A is still a pig. He reveals how petty he is not only by refusing to acknowledge Vi but by making insulting remarks, by shoving Ariche out of the way and by letting the ghost charade continue even if it is only against Copio and th Gossip Girls. He is a petty tyrant. I think Vi was torn by her wish to have a real father like Luci has and recognizing how badly her mother was treated. She first figured out OK lets get some of his money at least and then decided who needs him she always has her mother.
I agree with you Decie on the Lastra scene. I was like WTH? But then everything about his plot line is "why are we bothering?" The only possibility is he comes back and squeals on Max, but leave Ofelia alone. Poor thing, she did nothing to encourage this idiot.Hopefully with the flash forward she'll be hooked up with Mr. Cutey Architect and he will protect her from that weirdo.
Decie Girl- ITA with your assessment of Vio's shifting feelings about Aquiles. I think she yearns to be recognized by her father, but lacking that feels he should at least cough up some dough to support her and her mama. But she now realizes she's not even going to get that from Aquiles. The wretch!
I couldn't tell if our time jump forward was just a few days, or a month (because I thought it wouldn't be for another month when they could tell the sex of Gala's baby). Anyway, it looks like we get even more of a leap forward on Monday, with the mamas to be looking like they are close to popping. Loved the look on Gala's face when she learned she's having a girl (but poor child), but I loved the look on Rod's face. It was one of the few truly happy looks he's given in a long time (at least since the kiss with Luci in the doc's waiting room).
I was fooled by Gala for a half second too. I thought maybe they were going to have her miscarry-- fueling her hatred towards Luci even more. Not like there could be anything worse than planning to make a baby "disappear", no matter what manner the 3 Blonde Bruja Bitches go about doing it.
Poor Hannah and Lorenzo. They just can't catch a break. But I agree, they are both still too young and immature to face the pressures of her crazy mama and their class differences.
s baby, just 'make it dissappear' so it won't have anything to do with the 'inheritance of the TL fortune'. And ITA that the medal Pato will give the baby will come into play BIG TIME!!
UA-Gala doesn't have to bribe the doctor, he has loose lips; already telling too much; no HIPAA in TN world.
Yeah, with that medal looming it tells me there will be an abduction. I thought at first Re would try to poison Luci; but it makes more sense that she is trying to gain her trust in order to gain access to the baby; remember how she was asking if she could see the baby once it was born.
In addition to the Lastra story; that fantasma stuff is hard to imagine it will fit in anywhere except as filler. I think the Lastra sideline is going to fit in somewhere.
It's time for Luci's Het Het family and the TL-pro-Luci crowd to circle the wagons. Man, I wish Pato were further along with his rehab--unless it's only wishful thinking on his or our part.
Decie and Vivi--You nailed Vio's dilemma perfectly. How to get something out of Aquiles if doing so means admitting he's not a Claudio II.
We've always maintained that Rod would get the girl in the end (whether we liked it or not) but does Luci's dream indicate she's shifting gears emotionally?
If we've already discussed this at length, I apologize. Might have missed something.
Had Rod never existed, she might very well have fallen in love with Pato, in a different way than she did with Rod. She and Rod had instant mutual physical attraction. After spending time with each other, that later turned into love. Luci and Pato had instant chemistry (twin souls connecting). It also included instant attraction on his part. But who's to say that the beautiful friendship they developed couldn't have turned into romantic love, had Rod not been in the picture. Does that make sense at all?
Interesting posts about love. ITA Vivi I think Pato and Luci would have a great relationship. I also see it as a more mature love than the "passionate" one.
Rosa would definitely hurt Lor. She hates him almost as much as she does Luci.
Good game by your Orioles Marta...even though they beat my Rangers :(
The Bruja Triumverant will do everything they can to ensure Gagme's bebe is the only heir. I don't think they'd kill the bebe, but I'm with Decie Girl, they will sure try to make that bebe disappear. Rosa did it once, she could certainly do it again. I think Frigid will store the info for later use, about what the Brujas are planning. Not a spoiler, but a theory.
I think Rosa wouldn't really hurt Hanna, but she sure would do something to Lorenzo, like call the cops on him again and get him thrown in jail for a longer time or do something about his taco bidness.
Urban- the doctor in the D.F. can't stand Gagme and after the epi where she was insulting Luci in the waiting room, I don't think the Doc S will tell her, but one of the nurses might.
I too was uncomfortable for Ofelia to be going out at night getting paper for Marianita. Lastra has been lurking for days and when she got that paper with the note, I was yelling at the TV just go home, wait till daylight. I don't want Lastra to be kidnapping Ofelia.
I liked the phantasma storyline and we were all right that it was Theo. That it was just a ruse on Theo's part to get Copio to quit the funeraria was too funny. Copio will probably quit and go back to Don A's. Copio is very scared of the phantasma.
I don't know what will happen to Rosa la loca at the end, but I hope she ends up alone in that house. No love, no warmth, her guilt and agony of losing everything and everyone she loves, by them all turning their backs on her. That would be perfect, cause she could never deal with that.
I too think after a time Don A will recognize Vio as his daughter. He will have to process it though. Glad Magda and Vio are close and glad Vio knows all she ever needed was her Mama and not all that money. I hope Vio gets a great job and does great things.
If Rosa had decided, after burying Aurora, not to raise the child, her other option would have been to give the baby to the DIF (child welfare, or child protection, whatever they call it). But giving up the child to DIF would mean too many people would know that the baby was alive.
It also would have led to foster care, knowing that Claudio was alive and in jail, and he would have been notified. In the US we would want a termination of parental rights in order to get Luci adopted. Either way, dead baby or adopted by someone else would have been equally painful for Claudio sitting in prison.
Rosa had to get rid of the baby asap. I wonder if the hospital authorities would have let her just walk out with a newborn or did she do it surreptitiously.
All kinds of scenarios are swirling around in my head. But it all boils down to "it's a telenovela, for heaven's sakes, tighten Emilia's beanie another notch."
Bottom line--I agree that if she's done it once, she can do it again.

We've commented on the possible significance of the medal. Any time a novela throws in something that seems minor and repeats it a couple of times as they have with this medal it usually is a sign that we should pay attention and that it will play out in the greater story line.
I hate the idea that the phantasma will drive Copio back to working for Don A. Working at the funeraria he has been able to stand on his own feet and have a little dignity. If he goes back to Don A he just sets himself up for the constant abuse and being bullied. It would be a huge step back for him. I'd like to see him figure out the ghost and turn it back on the big bully.
It would not surprise me if Roselena would attempt to hurt Lorenzo but I don't see it being murder. I see her trying to destroy his business which has the added bonus of possibly destroying his spirit and making him dependent on Luci (which he doesn't want to be).
Flashack--a winning new word. We need to find a good use for it.
It as good as Galanbesoparalysis, which if you all didn't know was coined by our wordsmith, Vivi back in CME.
Also, i don't see a baby switch like we had on EEAYEO, but i could see a deja vu of RE giving away Luci's baby so that even if Gala's baby is a girl, she would be the only 'living' heir... so Rod would have to stay married to her.
I don't even consider out of limits if RE acts in such a way that they all will blame or somehow point fingers at Luci as the one who lost her baby.
Somebody had to have been sleeping at the switch to have Rod not remember in the appropriate amount of time that he knew Luci was a virgin before he got there.
Oddly enough when something happened in the prior version the Luci character was directly responsible, she was traumatized having been accused of murder (she had stabbed someone) and the Rod asshat was threatening to take the baby away from her. She also didn't not have as big a support system close by. Because the story has been changed radically at this point what happened there can not happen here but it is making me think how things could be tweaked to fit our Luci and the Dumbass.
